1. E v a l u a t I o n
We were giving a task to do which was creating our own short film. I worked along side others in the process of
making my short film.
At first we approached making our film by doing one process at a time, we all gave ourselves individual roles. I at
first, we attempted to create a storyboard for our ideas . We decided to do a promotion video. So as of this, I began
to write down questions as we agreed on doing an interview for part of our short video. We decided on who as
going to do what role and negotiated well . We decided on the idea to go around the campus and take pictures of
the building and all the activities you can do , we thought this was a good idea as because with our video being a
promotion video , it would allow people who didn't’t know anything about Bede campus to have a sight into what is
available here and persuade people to enroll here.
We allocated roles based on our strengths , Ryan is good at editing for example, so he edited the video, Emily wrote
the script for Dillon and Philip for the interview while Dawn filimed

2. f i l m i n g p r o c e s s
During the filming process we had plans that didn't go well, for example, wen we were recording the
interview all together , Dillon and Philip did the interview while Dawn recorded the interview, while Ryan
and Emily took more photos for the video
We tried different camera techniques, such as panning across the art on the walls and 2 shots.
Some ideas went well , like each of us taking up different roles in doing different jobs so it wasn’t all just
relied on one person, we all worked as a team and cooperated well together. This played a big part as it
helped us bring the promotion video together and there was a nice flow when making the video. By
working as a team and cooperating, benefitted the video.

3. E d I t I n g p r o c e s s
Utilizing Premier Pro was simple along with the help of a word document explaining how to use
the basic tools and how to cut down extra footage. It also showed Ryan how to use transitions
which give the film a unique effect. The razor tool was useful as it allowed Ryan to cut
unnecessary pictures and sounds from recordings and pictures.

4. R e v i e w
Our finished product to a large extent, is what we visually expected it to be at
the beginning. However we did make some changes to benefit the video. We
aimed for the video to be persuading and enthusiastic, which we think the video
does show. This is effective because that was the point in our video, it was to
inform and persuade the audience to join the college.
In conclusion , I think we have all learned that here is more to making a video
than just taking out a camera and filming. This benefited us as it gave us a taster
of what to do, and a chance to experiment with Premier Pro. This task has
definitely helped me , and my other friends in my group to have extended
knowledge and skills to make a film .
