This document outlines a social media marketing plan for a boxing club called Box Clever Events. The plan involves:
1) Starting an Instagram page on March 21st to attract over 80% of people who use social media. Regular posting will promote the club.
2) Releasing a promotional video on YouTube and linking to it from Instagram on April 26th to persuade followers to join.
3) Distributing posters around Sunderland and South Shields on May 1st along with the social media platforms to garner attention and interest in the club.
The goal is to use these three platforms together to attract new members to the boxing club.

I chose to release the social media account first
because over 80% of people have at least one
form of social media. I plan to post regularly on
the account to attract the attention of new
members who will hopefully be interested in
joining the club after seeing what it is like. I plan
to start the social media page on March 21st we
are aiming this account at everyone because
any age and gender can join so I didn’t want to
tailor it to meet one gender or age group.
Next I plan to release the promotional video and
upload it on YouTube. I will also be putting a link
to the video on my Instagram page so the
followers can also see it and hopefully persuade
them to join the club.
Finally I will distribute the posters around
Sunderland and south shields and together with
all 3 platforms hopefully one of them will get
the audiences attention and they will want to
check out the boxing club.
2. Box clever events has received 117, 5 star reviews on Facebook and currently has
1,772 likes and currently have 381 followers on Instagram
Box clever is currently only promoting on 2 social media platforms
I have learned that if you post videos and photos from behind the scenes and during
fights people are more likely to join because they see what the people who go are doing
during the time that they are there. If what they see interests them they may want to join
the club.
The target audience is anyone between 8-60 male and female. They are not targeting one
age group or gender.
This Facebook page for box clever events has received 2,561 views within the last 25 days
and 1,695 likes within the last 28 days.
The Facebook page has gained 393 new followers.
3. The box clever website is quite basic it gives
a overview of when the club started and
what it offers it mentions the 8 weeks of free
training and has links to the Instagram page
and where they are located. The website also
showcases the logo in the top left corner.
The website only got one view in the last
month
4. Other Facebook pages don’t have as many followers as box clever does. Most of the boxing clubs post the same things such as
people winning matches and photos of the boxers in the ring or getting ready for a fight.
Most of the websites and Facebook pages say how much it costs for a membership to the boxing club this means people can look
around there are for the cheapest one if they don’t want to spend much money on it. If they are new at it they may not want to
spend a lot on a membership because they may not like it and want to leave after a few sessions
5. Instagram
This is my Instagram page so far I will have more to upload
over the next few weeks. This shows what the boxing club
looks like and people training to show people what it is like
if they were to go and what is available for them to do. I
chose to keep the original logo because it is what people are
use to and if they go that is the logo they will see.
Since the 21st march to April 3rd I have currently gained 39
followers.
This is a template of what my Instagram page could
look like it includes the logo which the original box
clever logo.
They have received 521 new followers over all there
social media platforms and 518% increase in post
engagement.
6. Promotional video
I made a promotional video showing some of the training
exercises they do at Harton and Westoe. To make this I
shot a bunch of footage and placed it together to how a
variety of things they do here. After I placed the footage
together I then muted the full track and added the sound
clip below over the video and finally added the logo of the
business at the end so people knew what business the
video was for.
