Evaluation
For my campaign I have chosen to do a poster, social media page and a promotional video.
I started by releasing the social media page on the 21st march 2019 and it currently has 56
followers and the highest number of likes is 11 and I currently have 10 posts. I then released
the promotional video on the 26th April 2019 it currently has 5 views. For my final
promotion I released posters advertising the campaign that was distributed around south
shields and Sunderland town center in hopes that people would join the club.
One person said that the promotional video was good because it showed the things that are
available at the boxing club but the video could have had more information about the club
because it didn’t say where it was or any contact information.
People said that the social media campaign was the most effective because that is the one
that most people could see and you could interact with people on it too. It also showed
photo from the boxing club and you could see the place before you decided to go. They said
to improve the Instagram page I should upload more regularly so people keep getting
constant reminders of the club. I agree with this I would also create other social media
pages on different platforms to reach more people that may not be using Instagram. Chris
the person who runs Box Clever said that the Instagram page was a good start but next time
I could add some hashtags on posts. The impact from this is the official account gained more
followers since I stared my account and this is because I included a link to the official
account in the bio of my Instagram page.
For the promotional video people thought it was good because it showcased what is
available at the boxing club and what the place looks like. The criticismwith the
promotional video was the logo at the end was too blurry and it didn’t say where the place
was located or what was available. One person said it highlights what’s available and the
soundtrack over the videos was catchy. To improve the video next time, I would make sure
the logo for the company was clear and that people knew where to go because the video
gave no information about the club. The promotional video as not been as effective because
it only has 6 views in 3 weeks. To change this next time, I would share the link to followers
on the social media and put a link to it in the bio. The impact of the promotional video was
minimal because not many people saw it so they didn’t know about it and they only has the
other two platforms.
The third and final promotional material I made for Box Clever events was a poster the
feedback I got from people said it was okay because it gave information about what the club
offers and where its located but it is quite simple with simple fonts and basic images and
backgrounds. Next time when creating the poster, I would experiment with colors and fonts
to make sure the poster did not look basic and I would choose a better background. The
posters were distributed around Sunderland town center and South Shields and the posters
helped promote the club but they could also be forgotten about people could easily get rid
of them.
To create cohesion over the three platforms I have chosen I have used the same logo on all
three of the products.
