Overall, a wide range of technologies supported the conceptualization, creation and improvement of the media product.
With the global financial crises finally settling, everyone – from government sectors, industries, consumers - has noticeably shifted their focus on how to prevent such a crisis from occurring again. As a result, a deluge of well-intentioned regulations that contribute to improving corporate transparency and risk management have been formulated. However, business needs to be reassessed in view of complexity, overlapping controls, and an increased level of scrutiny estimated to arise with this deluge of new regulations being implemented. Frameworks and methodologies for IT’s best practices that comprise of ISO 27001 and ISO 27002 offer a roadmap and strategy that organizations require, however, they need to be implemented and executed appropriately in accordance with the standard regulations.
Furthermore, an Information Risk Management methodology helps in prioritizing security investments. It concentrates on the critical information and key business advantages that highlight security investments based on the risk associated with data and other corresponding activities, in relation to the potential business reward, and also ensure repeatability. At this point, organizations often turn to frameworks like ISO 27002 and the PCI Data Security Standard.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. Q1.Inwhatwaydoes yourmediaproductuse,
developorchallengeformsandconversionsof
realmedia?
As our film is called ‘Invisible' it is already kind of telling you what the film is about. the word invisible is
very powerfully. this is because it is stating that someone feels invisible to the rest of the world. also, as
the film title is only one word, it can be memorable to the audience. Our short film is set in a school,
therefore we knew it would be good to actually film the short film in a school. For example, we used
classrooms to film some of the scenes in, with real teachers. Location is a very important thing when
making a short film. This is because it makes the film seem more realistic. The opening scene is very
important in a short film.
This is because if you get the audiences straight away it will make them want to carry on watching it,
where as if its not that interesting at first, the audience may get distracted and loose concentration. Our
short films opening scene is when there are a bunch of students entering the school. This opening scene
has already set the scene.
The mise en scene is key to have in a short film. This is what makes the film look realising. I think it does
because if you have the wrong key of lighting it can make the film look un-professional. there are many
different things that we used in mise en scene, including; the main prop which was the lighter.
The lighter was the main prop because we made sure we zoomed in, and focused on the lighter to try
and hint things that was going to happen. the character who we used was Rhys. We used Rhys because
he was happy to play the part. the clothing we used on Rhys was typical boy wear. We had a scene
where he was changing his clothing to try and fit in with the rest of the friendship group. this is also part
of the costuming and props. When creating the film poster, we made sure it was still realistic, but we
made also made it as though the colour scheme. We did this by making sure we used the same colours
on the film poster to make it look dull, but exciting at the same time. i think this worked well because it
made it seem mysteries because its not giving much away.
Whereas on the magazine review we portrayed many different scenes through out the film. This Showed
us that there is a dog as a main focus, as she was in two of the pictures from the film. we made this a bit
more colourful as there was props in background of the action shots.
3. Q2.How effectiveisthe combinationofyourmain
productandancillarytext?
When we was creating the film poster, we made sure that we researched them before we did
it. we made sure we did plenty of research before starting. we did this so we are fully
educated on what a good film poster looks like. When i was researching the film poster, i then
understand why film producers do it, it is to advertise the film and to make sure that everyone
is aware that there is a new film coming/came out.
The things that you need to include is, the film title, actors names, due date, production and
sometimes a tag line. We didn't include a tag line on our film poster. Our film poster is quite
simple, but I think that it is quite powerful. I think it attracts the audiences attention because it
looks different. This is because the flame is in the centre on the poster, I think this catches the
audiences attention.
Also when we creating the magazine film review, we had to make sure we was fully educated
on what a good film magazine looks like, and what a bad one looks like. This made me feel as
though it made out film magazine review a lot better than what it would do if I didn't research
them.
We found that the film magazine review pictures were all action shots from the actually
filming, we made sure we did this when we was filming, we also found that it mostly the main
character who appeared on this. when we was writing the review we made sure we used
exciting words such as, 'warms your heart' 'deja vu' 'awareness that bulling is still going on'.
This shows that it can have quite an effect on the audience.
I think that the magazine review is effective to the audience because it combines with the
other products that we created in my course work. I think the magazine film review makes the
short film have more impact. I think this because it makes the audience want to watch the
film.
4. Q3.Whathaveyou leanedfromaudience
feedback?
The audience feedback is very important when creating a new product. this is because the
responses that you will get is what the audience actually think. This can help you in the future
for planning what you are actually going to do.
The type of audience feedback that we receives was through survey monkey. I added
questions on there when we was planning our film.
We leaned that the audience wanted to see in the future with films. we also wanted to know
what different types of technology is used to watch films.
This helped us improve our short film because it made us figure out what different types of
technology our film could be distributed by. I think the audience feedback is one of the most
important things because its the audience opinion that matter the most.
We used survey monkey to get audience feedback we used this software because I think it
helped because it give you the answers that you need, and it is simple to use. As we also we
unloaded our short film to YouTube, we also got feedback from there, with many different
comments.
Some of the feedback that we got was to add more scenes, that's why we then took it of you
tube, added a few more scenes in, and then uploaded it again to YouTube. That is why in some
of the scenes the cast have different clothes on. We then got better feedback from this
because it improved out short film.
5. Q4.How didyouusemediatechnologyinthe
constructionandresearch,planningand
evaluationstages?
• Through out all of my course work there are many different types of technology that
have helped me including: Blogger, Slide share, Google, YouTube, iMovie, Publisher,
Photoshop and iPhone camera.
• These different types of technology have helped me produce all of my course work
this year. Without any of these different types of technology I wouldn't have been
able to do my work.
6. I have used this blogger to keep all of my work up-to-date and to keep a record of
everything that I have done through out this year. this has helped me keep on track on all my work
because I know what I have done, and what I haven't done. I think this is a good idea to use blogger
because it keeps all of my work together, therefore I wouldn't lose it.
I used slide share to look at other peoples work. This has helped me because if I
was ever unsure of what I needed to do, I could look on there and see what other people have done.
This has helped me figure out what I need to do within my course work this year
I have used Google throughout all of my research to research things that i needed to
know. I used this type of technology because it is very easy to access, and it easy to understand. i
used Google through out all of my course work.
I used YouTube when we was palling out short film. I used YouTube to research other
short films that have been created. I watched these to fully understand what a short film was. This
was very helpful to me because it help me figure out what I needed to do, and it showed me what a
good short film was.
My group used iMovie at the final stages of our course work. This was to create our short
film. we used this piece of technology because it a good piece of technology to use when creating it.
this is because it has all the latest features. we also used this piece of technology because it made
our film look better and professional. we used iMovie on a mac laptop.
7. We used publisher when we was planning and researching in the first few steps. This is
because we had to produce a PowerPoint of annotations on different film posters and magazine film
reviews. this is so that we have a full understanding of what we needed to do, and what a good one
looked like.
We used Photoshop when we was creating our film magazine review, and film poster. we
used Photoshop because it is a good technology to used when editing pictures. this is because it has
many different features that can change the way images can look.
We used the iPhone 6 camera throughout all of out filming and photography. We used this
camera because it has got a high quality camera which made the image really clear. we made sure
that we used the same camera through-out it all because if we would have used different, you would
have been able to see it, and tell a difference. this would have made out short film look odd.
We have also used Microsoft PowerPoint to create many different PowerPoint presentations.
We have put research that we have found, on them and then uploaded them onto slide share so that
they can go on my blogger account. I found that using PowerPoint it has made my coursework look
better than what it would on just a normal word document. I think this because it makes it look more
interesting and it makes it look more presentable.
