- 1. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
- 2. As the song we have chosen for our music video is an upbeat song we wanted to make our music video quite fun which is why we decided against using a narrative and in the end created a performance based music video.
- 3. We wanted to create a poster and digi-pack that would be identifiable to our audience that it is our band’s poster or digi-pack. This is why we have gone for an animated design for our digi- pack. This is our front cover This is our back cover
- 4. When we first created our digi-pack we used a lot of bright colours but we decided to change this and dull down the colours as in our music video we don’t use many bright colours and a good section of the video is actually in black and white so to try and make our video link our ancillary tasks we dulled the colours down so they were still fun but just not so bright. This shows part of the music video that is in black and white. All of the clips where were performing on the stage are in black and white.
- 5. This is what our final front cover looks like, after we dulled down the colours. This is what our front cover was like at first. It has a lot of bright colours on it.
- 6. I think our ancillary tasks and main task are successful as we researched in depth the genre and used audience feedback to make sure our tasks contained what they should contain and to ensure they would attract our target audience. We used a mix of our own creativity and ideas that we really liked from other music videos to create effective tasks that would use conventions as well as try to maybe break some and appeal to our target audience.
