EVALUATION Q3
INITIAL IDEAS AND FEEDBACK
▸Early on in the research and planning stage we created a pitch to our class explaining our
3 initial ideas.
▸We then got feedback from the class explaining which ideas they think were best and their
reasoning.

EVALUATION Q3
CONCLUSION FROM PITCH
▸After receiving the feedback we had a discussion on which idea we were going to choose. Having the
feedback really helped with this as it gave us other perspectives and gave us an idea of which
documentary topics were going to be most popular.
▸From the feedback we received the graffiti vs art idea seemed like the best decision.

EVALUATION Q3
SURVEY
From the start of our research and planning we made sure to consult our target audience on decisions
Although a very simple question, it was vital to gain this information in order to find out whether differen
EVALUATION Q3
Again, it was important to gain this information on our respondents in order
to make comparisons between different age groups on their opinions of our
documentary.
EVALUATION Q3
This question was posed as we wanted
to see whether we could sway people
who are not as keen on documentaries
to have positive opinions on our own.
Evidently, a great majority of our
respondents definitely enjoy watching
documentaries
EVALUATION Q3
We were particularly pleased
with the feedback from this
question as it showed us
people were interested in the
topic of our documentary.
EVALUATION Q3
All respondents answered this question
stating they definitely were educated and
interested by our documentary. This is very
positive feedback
EVALUATION Q3
This is an extremely positive
response with 100% of the
people who took the survey
agreeing that all the content
was completely relevant to the
documentary title. This is good
as people were obviously
fascinated and engaged when
watching the documentary.
EVALUATION Q3
Again, this question provided
respondents with a comment box
which allowed them to write more in
depth answers. The comments were
all very positive, with everyone
answering ‘yes’. All the comments
seemed to agree that there is a
direct link between graffiti and rap
music.
EVALUATION Q3
This question provided a
comment box for respondents to
give a more in depth answer.
Therefore, we gained a range of
positive comments from the
individuals who took our survey.
We were worried about it as we
did not have a proper actor and
could not get hold of any legit
graffiti artists to film with so a
group member had to step in and
pretend to be one.
EVALUATION Q3
All respondents answered this
question stating they thought the
editing looked professional
throughout. This is very positive
feedback as a lot of time and effort
went into editing the clip. We had
developed our editing skills over the
course of the 2 years of AS and A2
media studies.
EVALUATION Q3
In case we did not gain enough
knowledge on how to improve our
documentary in previous questions, we
felt the answers to this question would
provide better feedback in terms of how
we could have made ‘Graffiti vs Art ’ even
more effective.
There seemed to be one main bit of
feedback that people were leaving in the
comment box and this was that our sound
quality could have been improved. The
sound quality is something that we would
go back and make better when improving
our documentary.

ANCILLARY FEEDBACK
▸We also did the same for our ancillary and got feedback so
that we could improve on them. We created a public survey
through survey monkey to collect our results.
