Essays On Technology
Crafting an essay on the broad and ever-evolving topic of technology can be both challenging
and rewarding. The difficulty lies in the vastness of the subject matter and the constant
advancements in technology, making it challenging to capture all aspects comprehensively. The
rapid pace of technological innovation means that the information can become outdated quickly,
requiring constant updates and revisions.
Moreover, the multifaceted nature of technology encompasses various fields such as science,
engineering, ethics, sociology, and more. Juggling these diverse aspects while maintaining
coherence and depth can be a formidable task. It requires not only a strong grasp of the current
technological landscape but also the ability to foresee potential future developments.
Another challenge is striking the right balance between technical details and accessible language.
Technology essays often run the risk of being overly technical, alienating readers who may not
have a specialized background. On the other hand, oversimplification might dilute the essence of
the subject matter, making it difficult to convey the complexities and nuances.
Additionally, staying objective in discussing technology is crucial. While the benefits of
technological advancements are evident, it is essential to address potential drawbacks, ethical
concerns, and societal implications. Balancing optimism with a critical perspective requires
careful consideration and research.
In conclusion, writing an essay on technology demands a thorough understanding of the subject,
the ability to navigate its multidisciplinary nature, and the skill to communicate complex ideas to
a diverse audience. Despite the challenges, exploring the impact and implications of technology
in our world is a task that offers valuable insights and promotes a deeper understanding of the
rapidly evolving technological landscape.
For those seeking assistance in navigating the complexities of such essays, a variety of resources
are available. Professional writing services, likeHelpWriting.net, offer the opportunity to order
custom essays on a wide range of topics, ensuring that your specific needs and requirements are
met with expertise and precision.

Choreographer Busby Berkeley’s Contributions to
Film...
Choreographer Busby Berkeley s Contributions to Film
Berkeley s creations were not meant to focus on dance. He envisioned an overall
moving pattern, which he created by using moving bodies. He made the art of
choreography a technique of design and visual mathematics, and combined this with
his knowledge of film to bring his vision to life on the big screen. The skill of this
multi talented man brought Hollywood musicals to their full potential, creating a high
demand for dance in films.
William Berkeley Enos was born November 29, 1895, in Los Angeles. He began
his career as a choreographer in 1918 as a lieutenant in the army. Conducting and
directing parades. He gained the ability to work with large masses of moving bodies to

His camera was said to have done the dancing. It was not the individual dancers, but
his quick editing cuts, multiple angles and shots, and special effects that created the
brilliant movement.
Possibly Berkeley s most memorable filming technique is his use of overhead
angles. He even would drill holes in the ceilings of the studios so that he could make
these shots possible. That is how he created his kaleidoscopic patterns that he was
well known for.
One of Berkeley s greatest displays of choreography is the production of 42nd
Street. With the popularity of musical films decreasing around 1932, Warner
Brothers decided they needed a real spectacle to save the genre. They brought in
Busby Berkeley to create it. It was a smash hit, and so Berkeley was given an
impressive seven year contract. Between 1933 to 1937, Berkeley created the dance
sequences for almost every successful musical Warner Bros. released.
Some of his most well known productions were Footlight Parade(1933),
Dames(1934), his extravagant use of 150 dancers in Lullaby of Broadway in the film
Gold Diggers of 1935, Babes in Arms(1939), and his last film Take Me Out to the
Ballgame(1949).
The life of this genius came to a sad ending. Throughout his life, Berkeley drank a
lot. He also loved his mother more dearly than anyone else in the world. The
combination of these loves almost drove him to insanity. After an accident caused by
his drunk driving that resulted in the death of
Monastic Movement During The Middle Ages
The Monastic movement during the middle ages is one of the most tremendous
movements in Christianity. They were referred to as intermediaries which is a
glorious way to be connected to God in heaven through a monastery or abbey on
earth. Overtime they had become great learning and spiritually growing places which
supported not only their monastic community but also the broader society. Cluny
Abbey had a significant influence on social, cultural, economic and spiritual aspects
on the middle Agessociety starting in the 10th century. Each aspect of monastic life
gave them a strong connection to the kingdom of heaven and parallels with Jesus life.
Cluny abbey was founded by the Benedictine monks who focused on the liturgy and
spiritual aspects ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They hired many workers and managers to do the traditional labour of monks so
they could spend more time in prayer. Their devotion to prayer was a distinct
attribute of their monastic life which not only influenced their own spirituality but
other monasteries began following their ways. They are especially known for
embellished liturgy in richly ornate churches and having feasts. Although traditionally
they lived in poverty, Cluny abbey believed that through their wealth they could
worship God by presenting him with expensive gift which symbolise His kingship.
In their wealth they were extremely generous in giving donations to support the poor,
pilgrims and lay. By means of their wealth they developed a devoutness to Our Lord
and supported economic prosperity in the middle ages.
Cluny Abbey in its social, cultural, economic and spiritual exercise demonstrated an
evangelical task for the wellbeing of society during the middle ages. Their spirit of
service contributed to the good of society in many ways. By sharing their aestheticism
with the whole community the Abbey became an inspirational intermediary between
the mortal world and

News, In Many Forms, Describes Events And Relays
Information
News, in many forms, describes events and relays information to those who are
interested or uniformed. Television programs, newspapers, online articles are a few
forms of media that have become easily assessable. Mainstream media can also
include Facebook, Twitter and other online social media sources. The main focus of
this paper will be on The AkronBeacon Journal, the 10 o clock Channel 8 news, and
online news sources. In all three forms of media, the most popularized event is the
recent shooting of Robert Goodwin Sr. by Steven Stephens. Limited criminal
activates were reported, possibly due to the tragic event of the shooting, but the few
that were reported will be described and examined. The Akron Beacon Journal from

Overall, this news program covered crime, sports, weather, family stories, and
international politics. Like the newspaper, the news program also showed the
Facebook killing and the rise in tension between North Korea and the United
States. Unlike the newspaper, the news program reported on a greater amount
criminal stories, community events, and a more in depth look at the weather. The
main stories covered were two men being placed behind bars for burglary and
robbery in Painesville, a story of an eight year old who caused the death of a one year
old, and the Facebook Killer at large.
First, the two men who were jailed are located in Lakewood County Jail for their
part in a burglary earlier that day in Painesville. The crime resulted in SWAT being
called in after a standoff started between the brothers and the police occurred. This
standoff ended when the SWAT arrived and captured the armed criminals, few
other details were reported on. Next, a brief story covered the death of a one year
old caused by an eight year old. The child was described as a victim of abuse and
neglect, while at a local daycare. Lastly, the new program reported on the Facebook
Killer and his evasion of police in the Cleveland area. This story has dominated the
media from newspaper to television, with newspapers only covering the brief relevant
information while the news program went into greater detail. The information stated

The Pros and Cons of Three Types of Online Communities-...
An online community is a network of people who come together and communicate
online, usually because of a common interest or goal. There are many different types
of online communities. Some examples of online communities are: email
distribution lists, message boards and newsgroups, instant message (IM) services,
chat rooms, blogging sites, social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook,
and online classrooms/school groups. I intend to discuss three of these types of
online communities chat rooms, social network sites, and online classrooms/school
groups and look into the pros and cons of using each of these. First, I will talk about
internetchat rooms. A chat roomis a site where users can talk live to other users. Users
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is no face to face with online chat rooms. Chat rooms enable people to act or
say things in ways that they may not normally if they were face to face. This could
also be a pro or a con, depending on the situation. One last con of chat rooms would
be that, although you can talk to other people almost as if you were face to face
instead of waiting for a response as you would have to with an email, you still have
to wait for the other person to be online. If you want to chat with someone and they
are not online, the chat room isn t going to do you much good. Sometimes people
will prearrange times to get online and chat with another person. This is one way to
overcome this con. Next, I will discuss social networking sites. Some examples of
social networking sites would be MySpace, Facebook, Classmates.com, and
Twitter. Social networking can be a wonderful and fun way to keep in touch and
communicate with your family, friends, and colleagues. They can save you time
and effort. If you need to get in touch with someone, and you are both members of
the same social networking site, you can quickly and easily send him/her a
message on the site. Instead of having to make arrangements and plans to meet at a
certain place, at a certain time, you can discuss things on the site. Social networking
sites can also be a great place to get in touch with old friends or talk to people that
you don t often get to see. You can

He had just finished his associate s degree in computer science, and had a few
network security certifications. He was looking for a part time job, and had
originally applied for a job as an accountant at a bank. After working there for two
days, they had a computer failure. When the IT specialist working on it was
unable to fix right away, he decided to see if he could help. He quickly found what
one of the IT specialists had missed and fixed the problem. Once he fixed their
computer system his supervisor started asking him questions about what kind of
computers had he worked on and asked one of the other IT specialist to test him to
see if he knew what he was doing. Once they checked his basic computer skills they
offered him a job as one of the bank IT specialists. Since he hadn t finished school
they told him that he couldn t move up until he finished his degree. So, while you
might be able to get your foot in the door with some practical experience, the best
jobs will go to those that have a bachelor s degree and maybe some certifications in
their particular area of interest or specialty. You might be wondering what a
security major really does. IT security has to be very careful about keeping their

Laboratory Analysis And Results Are Vital Part Of...
Undoubtedly, laboratory analysis and results are vital part of diagnosis of many
disorders and diseases these days. According to Peter et al. (2010), an estimated
60% to 80% of patient management decisions are based on laboratory data.
Therefore, accreditation of processes and competence of pathology laboratories is
very significant particularly for benefit of patients. The UK was, along with Holland,
the first European country to introduce a laboratoryaccreditation scheme for
pathology (Barnes, 2014). Organisations, such as the Institute of Biomedical Science
(IBMS), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Clinical Pathology

Music And Its Effect On Life
When younger, music was simply something fun that passed time, but as soon as
the song ended and the music stopped, that was is. Music had little significance to
me. As I started to grow older I came to realize the value music has on oneself and
the emotions it can trigger. It can light up a mood, expresses feelings, calm you
down, and most importantly, be nostalgic. Music has the power to bring back
important memories and moments, and often the people you shared them with.
These memories come with a flurry of emotions, almost allowing you to relive
certain times again, even if it is just for a short period of time. Not only to music

Looking back on high school, those are the memories and the bonds created that I
remember and value most. Although my class may not be physically here to laugh,
motivate, or encourage me while I embark on this new journey through college,
when listening to our class song, You ve Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman, I
am able to remember the good times we shared and the encouragement and support
my class brought me. The time I spent in school and the memories we made together
cannot be replaced and wherever life takes each and every one of us our friendship
will never die. Even when we are miles and miles from our nice warm bed I am able
to have a little part of home with me wherever I go by just the play of a song. Before
falling in love, I had many expectations and ideas of what I thought it would feel
like. I thought true love was comparable the smell right before rain, when
everything feels so delicate. I thought true love was comparable to the feeling I get
when I make a really good save in soccer, letting my instincts take over my body. I
thought true love was comparable to when you step outside after the last day of
school and smell the summer air, letting it soak into your skin like the first time ever.

Kesaya E. Noda s Growing Up Asian In America
Americans are known most commonly throughout the world as being extremely
patriotic. Most Americans are thought to be flag waving, gun carrying, individuals
who love to eat at fatty fast food restaurants like McDonald s. Obviously, this does
not represent Americans as a whole but rather presents them as very patriotic and
individualistic. In the essay, Growing Up Asian in America, by Kesaya E. Noda
states that she is, I come from a people with a long memory and a distinctive grace.
We live our thanks. And we are Americans. Japanese Americans... (Noda 36). In it she
states that she is neither Japanese or American rather they are Japanese which
incorporates both the cultures and traditions of the United Statesand Japan. In fact, an
American can be best described as persons from the United States that are known
throughout the world for their patriotism and belief that America is the best country
in the world. The definition of an American can vary from person to person but can
be described as someone who lives or is from the United States. In the letter, What is
an American, by J. Hector St. John de CrГЁvecoeur states, In this great American
asylum, the poor of Europe have by some means met together, and in consequence of
various causes... (CrГЁvecoeur 28). America was a refuge for those fleeing other

Essay On Line Of Credit
What level of committed line of credit do we need, and consider how we have been
managing working capital in the past and potential growth in revenues that translates
into working capital investment? You need to address the considerations in managing
the cash conversion cycle better.
A business line of credit is one that gives capital to meet a whole variety of business
needs. When business draw on their business line of credit to get more working
capital, buy inventory, handle seasonal cash flow gaps, pay off other debts, or address
almost any other business emergency or opportunity. On the other hand, a line of
credit is a simple financing product that allows business to withdraw funds up to a
predetermined amount. The business will only ... Show more content on

However, this metric looks at the amount of time needed to sell inventory, the
amount of time needed to collect receivables and the length of time the company is
afforded to pay its bills without incurring penalties. In fact, most business acquires
inventory on credit, which results in accounts payable. A business can also sell
products on credit, which results in accounts receivable. However, cash is not
involved until the business pays the accounts payable and collects the accounts
receivable. Therefore, the cash conversion cycle measures the time between the
outlay of cash and the cash recovery. The cash conversion cycle cannot be observed
directly in cash flows, which are affected by financing and investment activities as
well; rather, the cycle refers to the time span between a firm s disbursing and
collecting cash (Mueller, (2017)
Should we keep existing cash on the balance sheet for future mergers and acquisitions
or should we consider using some of these funds for supporting our short term line of
credit needs?
Growth and expansion are some of the primary motivations that influence the
decisions of a business. A business entity that pursues growth in existing and new
markets stands greater chances of maintaining competitive advantage over its rivals.
Other than organic growth, a business can enter mergers or acquire other firms to
accelerate its market
Essay about Private Property
The ideology behind what private property represents and conveys through the
theories of both Locke and Marx s results in contrasting views. Locke heavily
stresses the blending of labor and common land to create private property to
increase one s wealth. Liberty and livelihood under Locke s theory is tied to the
ability of an individual to control the use of their private property. Marx s theory
strongly contends that the bourgeoisie has gained control of the profit making
private properties leaving the working class in a stage of exploitation. Marx s
conclusion then is to set private property in the hands of the people in hopes of
creating universal economic equality. Respectively each thesis places governments,
labour and religion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marx s model of private property views it as means of production creating a division
of labor. In his theory, Marx takes a look and how private property, along with
wealth, are funneled into the hands of the few leaving the ordinary worker unable
to gain wealth from private property. The outcome of Marx s principle can be seen
especially in the last 30 years in the US with the increase of inequality and access to
wealth to unprecedented numbers (USA 11).
When examining both theories about private property one cannot go without
recognizing the important role that labour plays. Locke who considers labour the
cornerstone of man s ability to provide upon himself and that the act itself is so
important labour indeed that puts the difference of value on every thing (MPT
297). Locke s belief that every man is born into the world with an equal amount of
capability with labour as the main variable determining success. Marx s writings
take a look at where private property comes from and who is the beneficiary of
such a product. This is where labour is introduced into his analyzes of private
property and the concept of externalized labor, that is, externalized man, alienated
labor, alienated life and alienated man (MPT 771). Marx s theories look into the
exploitation of one social group, the proletarians, by the wealthy class, the bourgeois
that is now in the open due to the structure of capitalism. The workers eventually
Power Of Love In The Ghost s Child
Love plays an essential role in Sonya Harnet s novel The Ghost s Child. The
journeys that Matilda undertakes revolve around her quest for love. It plays a role
in shaping the personality and the perspectives of each character and their thoughts
on one another. The Ghost s Child, a story of loss, most certainly of a child and also
a marriage, is also a narrative of resilience and recovery. Loveis important in the
ghosts child because in the end, it can all be worth. The Ghost s Child is a
wonderful fable about the power of love ana the worth of life.
In the ghosts child love is explored as something that is stressful. Throughout this
book it is shown that love can be very painful but it is still worth it because it gives

Today МЃs tragedy in the country is a result of bad policy decisions from the UN,
USA and regional actors. After Ethiopia invaded the country with goal of trying to
revoke the Islamic sharia laws and regime, al Shabaab took a clear leading in
ensuing nationalist insurgency. However today a great deal of the public despises
them for their stonings, its recrutiment of children, its cold blooded ways of using
people as human shields, violence and amputations. An extract from the article states
Al Shabaabs habit of working rather within rather than against the clan system and
the growing Somali enthusiasm for sharia laws as a source of unity and order mean
that al Shabaab МЃs conservative influence is likely to endure even as the
organization itself collapses. This also makes it far likely that some reincarnated
version of al Shabaab will appear in response to the next Somali crises. You can
interoperate Al Shabaab as a virus. Despite if TFG or the US stops the organization
there will be some other group trying to recreate al Shabaab believes for sharia

to prop up the TFG as a way to deal with the al Shabaab, the conflict risks to be re
energized and trigger an even bigger crises in the country. In the last few years the
US and UN have noticed that the TFG are irreparably incompetent and corrupt. They

Argumentative Synthesis Of President Obama

Argumentative Synthesis
President Barack Hussein Obama was the forty fourth president elected into office in
2008 and the first United States president, under the constitution, of African descent.
He has worked his way up from the Illinois State Senate to the US Senate then
officially sworn in as president on January 20, 2009. Considering his background
in politics, logically, he should be a responsible, trustworthy candidate for
president yet that does not stand for his mentality of how to run a country. He has
portrayed himself as a person of significance by supporting the same sex marriage
law, preventing the unnecessary travel of oil and petroleum, and fighting for paid
leave for company employees; nevertheless, he has caused grief to appear in the
families of war participants. Conversely, pre presidency, Obama promised to end
the war of American troops fighting in Afghanistan in the year 2014, he promised
to direct revenues from oil drills to increase coastal protection, he also promised to
become a person who unites the American people; however, has this so called
president kept any of those promises or have they long been abandoned? As Barack
Obama s second term comes to an end, it is apparent that Obama is one of the most
hypocritical presidents in American history.

Eastern Waves Inc. Case

Edward Elric
Background
Eastern Waves Inc. is a steel manufacturing company located in Kuantan, Malaysia.
In 2009, Eastern Waves cash on hand was 188 ringgits (RM). In the previous year,
they had an even lower cash balance of RM188. Without cash, Eastern Waves are
unable to purchase raw materials from local raw material suppliers. Eastern currently
has a joint venture relationship with Jinan amp; Iron Steel Corp., which enables
Eastern to buy scrap steel on credit from the Jinan plate mill operation. This scrap
steel is crucial to Eastern s success given the market price of the purchased raw steel
billets. However, the scrap steel is of a lower grade than the standard raw steel billet.

The protection of Malaysian upstream steel industry was affecting local downstream
steel millers as they were forced to buy from the more expensive domestic suppliers.
The government are attempting to promote cordial relationships between
employers and employees and industrial harmony based on social justice and
equity. The minimum wage for an employee is RM1500 per month. The labor
regulations attempt to protect the domestic workers. As a result, the Malaysian
industries still rely heavily on cheap foreign workers. In order to reverse the
dependency on foreign workers and promote domestic workers, the government
has recently imposed an annual level of RM125 1500 on each foreign worker and
limited their work stay to only two years per permit. Eastern Wave is a small steel
manufacturing company in Malaysia. It has several plants in Malaysia and China
and produce various downstream steel products such as angle steel, I beam, and
round bar. The key material to angle steel production is billets. When operating at full
efficiency, the annual capacity of the angle steel production is 10,000MT.
Current Issues
The Malaysian government s trade barrier on billets in order to protect the domestic
billet producers has greatly affected the bottom lines of the downstream steel
manufacturing companies. The domestic billet price is 15 25% higher than the
international billet price. On the other hand, the government
How Does Charlotte Bronte Use Religion In Jane Eyre
Jane Eyre , written by Charlotte Bronte, is probably one of the best and most known
novels of the Victorian literature which includes autobiographical elements within it.
One of the most important themes despite social class, equality, and feminism
religion plays a significant role because of many reasons. Firstly, the author,
Charlotte Bronte, was born as the daughter of a clergyman named Patrick Bronte.
Therefore, religion was not something she could chose to bring into her life the way
she wanted, but it was something at the centre of concerns and living. Her father
was the priest of the Church of England and also part of the evangelicals.
Evangelicals are people who believe in the need for a personal relationship with
Jesus, relying... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, he goes into the extremes when he orders the naturally curly hair of one
of Jane s classmates be cut in order to lie straight. The girls way of dressing and
also their haircut show how they are denied their feelings, individuality, and
sexuality (Showalter, 2004, p. 229). Furthermore, he justifies the burned porridge by
quoting Jesus, warning the students that man should not live by bread alone but by
every word of God. He takes this idea into the extreme by trying to starve their
bodies for the enrichment of the soul. Nonetheless, a very painfully ironic moment is
when his daughters and wife come to visit the school with curly hair and dressed in
colorful and expensive clothes, not to forget looking very healthy confirming that Mr.
Brocklehurst does not practice what he preaches.
Jane s second religious point of view is her best friend s, Helen Burns, whom she
meets at the Lowood School. She presents some ideas that are somehow close to
Jane s own religious ideas; however, she is too passive for Jane to accept. When
Jane becomes friends with Helen, she is at a stage of her life when she is too much
concerned about being loved and accepted by others. Helen consoles Jane by telling
her Hush Jane! You think too much of the love of human beings... (Bronte, Jane Eyre,

Literary Analysis Of Rene Magritte s The Son Of Man
Part of human nature is to find faces in images whether they are supposed to be
there or not. So, Rene Magritte purposely made the face unseeable behind the
apple. In his painting, there is more than what meets the eye. The way in which he
executed the piece is simple yet it still makes those who see the art wonder what it
represents. As like any artwork, successes and failures can be found in Magritte s
art and how well it portrays the meaning behind the piece. The Son of Man when
examined closer, can be more interesting than one might think. Representation lies
in every form of art. There is the literal representation, and there is the abstract
figurative way of viewing. Simply, the painting shows a man with an apple in
front of his face and a storm taking place behind him. Many think the fruit is
referencing the tale of William Tell in which he shot an apple off his son s head.
Since in Magritte s painting the fruit is floating in front of him, this alludes to him
about to be shot in the face. Others quickly think religion inspired the work. The
Son of Man sounds eerily close to Son of Man, which is Jesus title. Also, the green
fruit could be from the famous tale of the Garden of Eden where Eve took a bite
from an apple and committed the first sin. Neither of these are wrong, but Rene
Magritte states, Well so you have the apparent face, the apple, hiding the visible but
hidden, the face of a person... There is an interest in that which is hidden and which
the visible
Differences Between Love Canal And Chernobyl
Love Canal and Chernobyl are two different environmental disasters that share many
similarities, yet have their differences too. Love canal is located in Niagara Falls,
New York and is the site of a seventy acre landfill. This landfill caused a major
environmental pollution disaster that affected hundreds of people. Toxic waste began
to invade homes, backyards, and playgrounds. Two hundred and forty eight different
chemicals were found buried beneath this community. Eight hundred families had to
relocate. (Softschools.com). Chernobyl is located in Ukraine, this natural disaster
was the explosion of reactor number four, and occurred while under maintenance
check. This explosion let out two hundred times the amount of radiation than
Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Seven Million people were affected, and three hundred and
fifty thousand people were forced out of their homes and relocated. This explosion
damaged sixty three thousand square miles of land (friendsofchernobyl.org). It is
important to realize although differences are present, both LoveCanal and Chernobyl
had similar effects on humans and the land. Many people suffered from these
disasters, and had to change their lifestyles because of the effects done to the land.
Chernobyl and Love Canal both had many negative effects on humans and the land
near these places. The land in both events was impacted drastically. Neither places
could grow food that could be consumed anymore. In Chernobyl people who
harvested food were

Common Era (BCE.) Throughout Japan s 2600 years of history, there have been
many wars and conflicts fought across Japan and the Pacific region. Through the
ages, Japan has always had an Emperor at the head of its government, although this
role has changed through time. Japan saw many economic changes, the biggest of
which occurred after World War II (WWII). With Japan s history, woven in war
throughout the Pacific has become a model of strong political standing and near
immeasurable economic growth. Japanese chronicles record Jimmu s expedition
heading eastward from Hyuga in 607 BCE, continuing along Japan s inland sea,
subduing tribes as he went, and ending in Yamato, where he centered his power
(Jimmu Legendary Emperor of Japan, 2016.) Emperor Jimmu, formally Jimmu
Tenno, is said to be a descendent of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu. The current
Emperor of Japan, His Royal Majesty (HIM) Akihito, is a direct descendent of over
50 generations of Jimmu s bloodline.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The IJA started with a limited number of trained troops; conscripts filled the gaps
between Officers and Soldiers. Conscription is the enrollment of persons,
especially for military service, which was similar to the Draft in the United States
(Definition of Conscription, 2016). In 1872 CE, the first law concerning
conscription in Japan was enacted, though the idea dates back to as early as
645CE. While feudalism was being developed and created, there was a rapid decline
of the semi independent peasantry, and finally the complete subjugation of peasants
to the Daimyo and Samurai classes (Norman, 1977.) This subjugation led to peasants
taking up arms for their Daimyo. A peasant with a pitchfork, sword, or ax couldn t
defeat a single Samurai one on one however, hundreds were joining these
Informative Speech On American Presidents
There are many presidents in the United States history. But I m going to talk about
a specific three; I m talking about George Washington,Andrew Jackson, and
Abraham Lincoln, some very popular ones. George Washington, from Virginia,
was the first president ever of the United States of America, set the bar high for
presidents to come. He was a great war general and president. Thanks to
Washington we avoided foreign wars with Spain with the creation of the Florida
boundary, established great trade partners, and didn t have to fulfill the terms of our
French alliance. He was one to enforce federal laws and even created a new
government. Not to mention he also started the handy precedent of fulfilling two
terms of presidency and peacefully and smoothly transferred his power to the next
president, though no one wanted him to leave the office due to his great achievements.

Jackson is known as a great nationalist. He empowered people to join war and
support the war during the Era of Good Feeling. Before he ran for president, he
arrested Spanish officials and obtained their land against orders, which did cause us
to almost enter a war against Spain, but this was too resolved by John Quincy
Adams. Jackson ran as a democraticВrepublican after Adams terms and won. As
president, he defied court rulings and forced the Cherokee Indians to relocate,
resulting in the death of four thousand of them. Jackson was a fighter and believed
in the Spoils System which benefited him materialistically and support wise.
Towards the end of his presidency, the Whig party was established, the country was
beginning to sink into a depression, and closed factories and businesses with more
economic problems , hunger, riots, and an increase in crime. He did however affect
the way people looked at war, which is with us

This Gospel with precisely placed first as introductory PB and the Messiah, the son of
the living God (Matthew 16: 16). Although the author s name is not mentioned in the
Bible, the nas testimony all the church fathers who first (since c. 130 ad) stated that
the Gospel was written by Matthew, one of the disciples of Jesus.
If the Gospel of mark was written to the Romans and the Gospel of Luke for

2-Year College Students Should Have General Education
Classes
Recently, a dispute in the Midwestern university concerning if we should keep are
General Education Courses or get rid of then and have a 2 year college. 45% of the
curriculum committee want to get reed of General Education to go to a 2 year

knowledge that the world can give, students also are introduced to different ideas to

knowledge that they need to succeed in the world. Because students don t get to have

Living in Social Classes in Jane Austin s Novels
Jane Austin is a great author from the 1800s. I really enjoyed the few books of
hers, that I did get around to reading .I enjoyed the movie adaptions even more,
Jane focused on things she thought about and used humor to point out the lives of
the middle class, the wealthy, nobility, and families in different financial
standings, battling to keep up or with their social status. Jane puts most of her
focus and writing into the importance of marriage. She lived with her family her
entire life and she did not get married. Jane began writing stories as a kid to
entertain her friends. In spite of the fact that she had finished writing Pride and
Prejudice in 1798, she published her first book, Sense and Sensibility, in 1811.
Mansfield Park and Emma came soon after in a couple of years. Austen published
her books anonymously. Northanger Abbey and Persuasion were published in
1818, after she died. Jane was a respected as author. In 1925, Sanditon, a book that
Jane was in the middle of writing, before she had died was published. In many
authors and readers opinions, she was one the best English authors ever. The main
line in Pride and Prejudice is It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single
man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife . This one line says
everything; it shows her level of intelligence she used in writing this novel by taking
customary subjects, for example, wooing and marriage and cleverly writing about
them. Pride and
Relationship Between The Tang And Song Empire
The Tang and Song Empires were two very powerful empires that ruled China after
the Han and Sui Dynasties. The Han Dynasty left China fragmented for centuries,
and the Sui Dynasty reunified China until the Turks from Inner Asia assassinated
the son who ruled. The Tang filled the political vacuum in 618 with emperor Li
Shimin (r. 626 649) who extended his power into westward Inner Asia. The Tang
kept many Sui governing practices but avoided overcentralization with giving
nobles, gentry, and religious establishments power. The Tang Empire fell after the
An Lushan and Huang Chao rebellions that left the society homeless, a refugee, or
a migrant worker. The empire fell in 907 after a warlord terminated their line.
However, the Song Empire had arisen in 960 and paid tribute to the Liao, who
controlled the north. The Song Empire aligned with the Jurchens, who ended up
creating the Jin Empire, to destroy the Liao capital. The Song Empire was betrayed
by the Jurchens and ended up having to pay tribute to them, which some historians
refer to as the Southern Song period (1127 1279). The Song Empire declined in the
year 1126. The Tang and the Song had a variety of economic, political, and social
accomplishments, some that they shared, and some that they didn t. Both the Tang
and the Song increased the use of trade, had a change of size of their empires, and
had major advancements in technology. Although, the Tang and the Song differed

Just in Time
1.Executive Summary
This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the Just In Time system, the
advantages and disadvantages of the system and how it would benefit AG Z. The
Just In Time (JIT) system is a process where goods are ordered as required, as
opposed to the currently used batch processing system where goods are made in bulk
and stored in warehouses until sold. The Just In Time system was initially developed
to not only cut down the amount of waste produced by other systems, which was seen
as incurring unnecessary costs rather than adding value to the company, but to also
meet customer demands with minimum delays. It has been found that when
implemented correctly the JIT system can benefit the company in numerous ... Show

In its simplest terms, the Kanban system is used to alert the production team exactly
what needs to be produced, the quantity required and the designated time frame
(Horngren, George Srikant 1997).
5.Expected Results
The Batch Processing System currently used at AG Z is a system where products
are produced in bulk quantities or batches whether required by the customer or not.
These goods are then stored in warehouses until required. This process produces
large amounts of waste in both inventory and warehousing as the goods are not sold
immediately, and could be required to be held for any length of time.
The Just in Time system however is a process that produces necessary products as
required. This system is highly beneficial as it reduces the amount of inventory
waste, as the goods are made to order. It also reduces warehousing costs as the goods
are made and shipped directly to the customer rather than being held for extended
periods at the warehouse.
As a result of these benefits, the JIT system has been particularly effective for
companies with a high customer demand on newly developed technologies such as
computers. If the product is produced when required and as specified by the
customer, this not only allows the customer to order exactly what they want with
modern technology, but it also benefits the manufacturer who is guaranteed a return
on the goods straight

Security in the age of internet has become a tremendously important issue to provide
comfort not only for paranoid people but for many others who are naГЇve to believe
that protection in digital era is essential to communication between millions of people
that increasingly used as a tool for commerce.
There are many aspects to security and applications, from secure commerce and
payment to private communications and protecting passwords. Cryptography, is the
practice and study in securing communication between parties in the presence of
potential adversaries (Yousuf, N.D.). This report focuses on modern methods of

computing and some other aspects where cryptography deemed essential as discussed
in this report.
Moreover, it is important to note that while cryptography is necessary for secure
communications, this report is not by itself sufficient. The reader is advice then, that
the topics covered in this paper only describe the first of the many steps necessary for
better security in a number of situations.

Definition Of Poverty
There are a number of definitions of poverty. It is a multifaceted notion which
includes social, economic, and political components. How we define poverty is
critical to politics, policy and academic debates about the concept. It is bound up
with explanations and has implications for solutions. (Lister, 2004 as cited in Class
notes, 2017). The United Nations, first established in 1945 shortly after the second
world war, was created to promote international co operation and maintain
international order (UN, 2017). The global term for povertyis defined by using the
Gross National Product (GNP) and Gross Domestic Product(GDP). Both defined by
the World Bank, GNP uses market valuations to measure national income: GNP
per capita (each person) gives an indication of the typical material living standards
of a nation, whereas, GDP is a measure of the total market value of goods and
services output and their economic activity. The United Nations set the bar at the
minimum daily income of $1.25 (93 pence) per day (Class notes, 2017). If you are
living on less than this you are classed as living in absolute poverty. How poverty is
measured is a contested concept and has had researchers long trying to establish a
fixed method of determining. The four main concepts are absolute poverty, relative
poverty and deprivation, consensual poverty, and social exclusion (Class notes,
2017). The concept of absolute poverty was developed in the 19th century by Joseph
Rowntree and was

Statement of the Problem:
Technology has been evolving with us since the beginning of the Prehistoric age,
from the simplest tools of the cave men to now in present future. Technology is
very important in our society, without it we would not be able to survive in our

The Boeing 747 s Impact On Contemporary Globalization
The Boeing 747 s Impact on Contemporary Globalization
This paper addresses the international impacts of Boeing s 747 commercial airliner
on modern globalization. The 747 is one of the most revolutionary and famous
airliners today, it could fit as much as 570 passengers and could carry as much as 154
tons of cargo. This massive airliner is a symbol of the progress in civil aviation and
signifies a new era in travel. This paper discusses who made this aircraft, the trade
and financial influence of creating this aircraft and how this aircraft reflects the
global division of labor.
To begin with, Webster s dictionary defines globalizationas the development of an
increasingly integrated global economy marked especially by free trade, free flow
of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets. although most people
would agree that this is a good definition. Stager defines the term globalization as a
set of social processes that are thought to transform our present social condition into
one of globality. (stager, p.8) Stager says that we use the term globality to signify a
social condition characterized by the existence of global economic, political, cultural,
and environmental interconnections and flows that make many of the currently
existing borders and boundaries irrelevant. (stager, p.7) The 747 s impact on
globality has interlocked nations and their people economically, and socially. The
introduction of the 747 further allowed peoples of nations to travel

Succinate Dehydonate Lab Report
Hypothesis: We hypothesize that reagent Malonate will inhibit Succinate
Dehydrogenase (SDH) activity. Background: Malonate, also known as propanedioate,
is a classic example of a competitive inhibitor. Malonate has a molecular structure that
is similar to succinate, so it has the ability to bind to the active site of succinate
dehydrogenase and inhibit enzyme activity. However, malonate is sufficiently
different from succinate that it cannot be dehydrogenated. [1] Malonate working as
an inhibitor to succinate oxidation is a popular occurrence. Succinate is oxidized to
fumarate during the Kreb cycle and the reagent s (malonate) inhibitory effect slows or

Manifestation Determination Summary
In this video, Jennifer Honig focuses on a manifestation determination for students
on IEPs. Throughout the video, she explained the law and MD process in detail. A
manifestation determination (MD) is a meeting that must be held after a decision to
change the placement of a student with a disability because of a violation of a
student code of conduct (15:44). Basically, it is to see if the student misbehavior was
related to his or her disability.
According to the video, when there is removal such as suspension or placement in
other setting is for up to 10 consecutive days, the school must hold a meeting to make
a MD to review the decision to change placement because of a violation of a code of
student conduct.
The first step is to notice to parents of decision to change placement and of
procedural rights under 34. Then the local educational agency, the parent and relevant
members of the IEP team must attend the MD meeting. In the meeting for MD, they
will review teacher observations, IEP, and all relevant information in the student s

In this video, I have learned how important it is to gather information about the
student. Sometimes, it is hard for teachers to keep the record or observe the student
because they are too focused on the lesson and teaching the content. However, a good
teacher must not only teach the student but able to observe them too. In my future
classroom, I will gather information about the student through various methods such
as interviews and direct observations. It will be wise to have some kind of easy
techniques to keep the record of the students and to organize it in the classroom. Not

Michael White Narrative Therapy Analysis
This week s reading transcribes an interview of Michael White, the founder of
narrative therapy at the Dulwich Centre, in Adelaide, South Australia. White defines
the therapeutic underpinnings and process of narrative therapy in relation to a client
and their personal story. Narrative therapy includes a constructionist foundation
which, allows a client to interpret personal experiences based on observation and
reflection. In regards to personal practice, an admiration is held for White s use of
critical thinking towards his education and the field of psychotherapy at the time.
Certainly, this includes a motivation derived from a constructivist approach by
searching for different perspectives and to challenge the norm. Furthermore, I value
The Documentary About Nevsun, A Canadian Mining
Company...
The documentary is about Nevsun, a Canadian mining company for permitting forced
labor and abuse of human rights in Bisha mine in Eretria. The documentary is
prepared and presented by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Fifth Estate in
February 2016. The film meshes well with the unfortunate miseries that civilians have
to endure under the aristocratic regime of President Isaias Afwerki. The film is
incredibly mind boggling and captivating in disclosing felonious activities by the
Nevsun in collaboration with the Eritrea s government. The film attempts to portray
how compromised cooperation between private firms and aristocratic regimes leads
to forced labor; abuse of human right and crimes against humanity ( Nevsun In
Eritrea: Dealing With A Dictator The Fifth Estate ).
The film focuses its attention on the use of forced conscripted military labor.
Indisputably, the film highlights the miseries of Eritrean in implausible style. An
extensive investigation by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation highlights how
Nevsun, through Segen could have been collaborating with the Eritrean dictatorial
regime for cheap labor. Apparently under the military conscriptionEritrea, every man
below the age of fifty serves in the army for an indefinite period. Use of conscripted
military labor is common especially by colluding with private companies to exploit
the civilian. As Kesete Tekle, a former military personnel notes refusing the
assignment meant that the authorities could have
Women s Rights In The 1820s
The Amendment was passed August 26, 1920. Their fight to vote started sometime
in the 1820s. In the 1820s american women were titled to be a perfect housewife
which included cooking for the men and children, cleaning, looking after children,
and should be submissive towards the other gender. They were not allowed to have
paying jobs because men thought women could not handle that things except for
taking care of their family. In 1851 Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton
work together to fight for women s rights. A lot of people were against what they
were trying to accomplish and still are. They worked together in making a newspaper
to promote the idea of women s rights. Around 1869 the National Women s Suffrage
Association was formed

During the early 1800s, two parties were developed having different perspectives on
government and the Constitution. The Democratic Republicans, led by Thomas
Jefferson and James Madison, were always characterized by following the strict
construction of the constitution. The Federalists, led by Alexander Hamilton, were
characterized by following the broad construction of the constitution. The
presidencies of Jefferson and Madison proved this characterization to be somewhat
accurate. Although the Democratic Republicans and the Federalists did support their
own ideas and views, they also did many things that contradicted them. The
Democratic Republicans started out by supporting their ideas fully and confidently.
In Jefferson s letter to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He recommended a charter of the national bank and a tariff to protect young
industries. In Document F, John Randolph implies that Madison has surrendered his
republican ideals and is emulating a more federalist point of view when the
administration called for the tariff of 1816. In conclusion, Madison s actions did not
coincide with the original ideals of the party. The Federalists also were greatly
confident in their views of the Constitution and the government. Once again, in
Document A, Jefferson states that the views of the Federalists were wrong. By
stating this, it simply displays the views of a Federalist. The letter shows that the
Federalists had different perspectives and the disagreements the two parties had.
During Jefferson s term, John Marshall became the most dominant Federalist figure
in the federal government. Under Marshall s domination, the Supreme Court retained
a Federalist outlook even after Democratic Republican justices achieved a majority in
1811. The Court consistently upheld federal supremacy over the states and protected
the interests of commerce and capital. Over the years, Marshall significantly
increased the Supreme Court s power over the country, demonstrating the idea of a
Federalist, the idea of a powerful central government. Just like the Democratic
Republicans, the Federalists also had a hard time with their principles. In the speech

Women And Women During The World War I
A million Australians, both men and women, served in the Second World War. Half a
million were stationed overseas. They fought in campaigns against Germany and
Italy in Europe. The Australian homeland came under direct attack with aircraft
bombings by the Japanese in north west Australia. All citizens at this point were
encouraged to be apart of the war effort, even children under the age of five. Over
30,000 Australian servicemen were taken prisoner by the Japanese and Germans in
1942. The men that had left Australialeft their jobs to the women. Some of these jobs
involved teaching which reduced the staff availability in Australian schools. Families
were also divided as the women now had work and provide for their children.
Australian school teachers in WW11 urged their students to do their bit in the war
effort. (Aussie Kids View: WW11) Organizations such as the SPF, school Patriotic
fund, were aimed at giving school children ...a sense of involvement and
responsibility... in the war effort that all persons contributed to. (Children in
wartime: WW11) Children were given the daily task of sifting through rubbish
dumps to find scrap aluminum, lead, brass, copper, bones, bottles, old rags and
scrap paper. (Children in wartime: WW11) The metal they collected would be a
direct contribution to Australia s air force. (Aussie Kids View: WW11) The scrap
metal would be re melted and refined for air craft parts other than the alloy sheet.

Wants Vs. Needs Fueling Consumption Behaviors
Wants vs. Needs Fueling Consumption Behaviors
In North Korea many of the consumer decisions are varied between needs and wants.
Because the government is very strict, oppressive, and does not spend on food many
people cannot access everything they need. For example in many parts of the country
there is mass starvation. To counteract this starvation a large number of people have
turned to the drug methamphetamine, known as ice to them. The drug itself helps to
suppress hunger and allows them an escape from their less than fortunate living
conditions. The use of this drug has become somewhat of normality among the
people in North Korea and is consistently spreading throughout the country. It has
even become common to give a government official a gift of ice as a bribe during
the holiday/gift giving season. While these gifts of ice are obviously not used for
the same reasons that others in less fortunate situations are, it is shocking to see
how comfortable people are with the use of this drug within the country. It has
become such a normal occurrence that even children use it. Unfortunately, this is the
only way certain people within North Korea can keep from starving and it must be
hard to make a decision like that as a child or even for a parent to make that decision
for their child. As people I assume they would rather just be able to have enough food
to sustain them rather than use a drug, but since that isn t possible their
overwhelming hunger leads them to that

Essays On Technology. Essay on Technology for Students amp; Children 600 Words in English

  • 1. Essays On Technology Crafting an essay on the broad and ever-evolving topic of technology can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies in the vastness of the subject matter and the constant advancements in technology, making it challenging to capture all aspects comprehensively. The rapid pace of technological innovation means that the information can become outdated quickly, requiring constant updates and revisions. Moreover, the multifaceted nature of technology encompasses various fields such as science, engineering, ethics, sociology, and more. Juggling these diverse aspects while maintaining coherence and depth can be a formidable task. It requires not only a strong grasp of the current technological landscape but also the ability to foresee potential future developments. Another challenge is striking the right balance between technical details and accessible language. Technology essays often run the risk of being overly technical, alienating readers who may not have a specialized background. On the other hand, oversimplification might dilute the essence of the subject matter, making it difficult to convey the complexities and nuances. Additionally, staying objective in discussing technology is crucial. While the benefits of technological advancements are evident, it is essential to address potential drawbacks, ethical concerns, and societal implications. Balancing optimism with a critical perspective requires careful consideration and research. In conclusion, writing an essay on technology demands a thorough understanding of the subject, the ability to navigate its multidisciplinary nature, and the skill to communicate complex ideas to a diverse audience. Despite the challenges, exploring the impact and implications of technology in our world is a task that offers valuable insights and promotes a deeper understanding of the rapidly evolving technological landscape. For those seeking assistance in navigating the complexities of such essays, a variety of resources are available. Professional writing services, likeHelpWriting.net, offer the opportunity to order custom essays on a wide range of topics, ensuring that your specific needs and requirements are met with expertise and precision. • 2. Choreographer Busby Berkeley’s Contributions to Film... Choreographer Busby Berkeley s Contributions to Film Berkeley s creations were not meant to focus on dance. He envisioned an overall moving pattern, which he created by using moving bodies. He made the art of choreography a technique of design and visual mathematics, and combined this with his knowledge of film to bring his vision to life on the big screen. The skill of this multi talented man brought Hollywood musicals to their full potential, creating a high demand for dance in films. William Berkeley Enos was born November 29, 1895, in Los Angeles. He began his career as a choreographer in 1918 as a lieutenant in the army. Conducting and directing parades. He gained the ability to work with large masses of moving bodies to ... It was not the individual dancers, but his quick editing cuts, multiple angles and shots, and special effects that created the brilliant movement. Possibly Berkeley s most memorable filming technique is his use of overhead angles. He even would drill holes in the ceilings of the studios so that he could make these shots possible. That is how he created his kaleidoscopic patterns that he was well known for. One of Berkeley s greatest displays of choreography is the production of 42nd Street. With the popularity of musical films decreasing around 1932, Warner Brothers decided they needed a real spectacle to save the genre. They brought in Busby Berkeley to create it. It was a smash hit, and so Berkeley was given an impressive seven year contract. Between 1933 to 1937, Berkeley created the dance sequences for almost every successful musical Warner Bros. released. Some of his most well known productions were Footlight Parade(1933), Dames(1934), his extravagant use of 150 dancers in Lullaby of Broadway in the film Gold Diggers of 1935, Babes in Arms(1939), and his last film Take Me Out to the Ballgame(1949). The life of this genius came to a sad ending. Throughout his life, Berkeley drank a lot. He also loved his mother more dearly than anyone else in the world. The combination of these loves almost drove him to insanity. After an accident caused by his drunk driving that resulted in the death of
  • 3. Monastic Movement During The Middle Ages The Monastic movement during the middle ages is one of the most tremendous movements in Christianity. They were referred to as intermediaries which is a glorious way to be connected to God in heaven through a monastery or abbey on earth. Overtime they had become great learning and spiritually growing places which supported not only their monastic community but also the broader society. Cluny Abbey had a significant influence on social, cultural, economic and spiritual aspects on the middle Agessociety starting in the 10th century. Although traditionally they lived in poverty, Cluny abbey believed that through their wealth they could worship God by presenting him with expensive gift which symbolise His kingship. • 6. The Pros and Cons of Three Types of Online Communities-... An online community is a network of people who come together and communicate online, usually because of a common interest or goal. There are many different types of online communities. Some examples of online communities are: email distribution lists, message boards and newsgroups, instant message (IM) services, chat rooms, blogging sites, social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook, and online classrooms/school groups. I intend to discuss three of these types of online communities chat rooms, social network sites, and online classrooms/school groups and look into the pros and cons of using each of these. There is no face to face with online chat rooms. Chat rooms enable people to act or say things in ways that they may not normally if they were face to face. This could also be a pro or a con, depending on the situation. One last con of chat rooms would be that, although you can talk to other people almost as if you were face to face instead of waiting for a response as you would have to with an email, you still have to wait for the other person to be online. If you want to chat with someone and they are not online, the chat room isn t going to do you much good. Sometimes people will prearrange times to get online and chat with another person. This is one way to overcome this con. Next, I will discuss social networking sites. Some examples of social networking sites would be MySpace, Facebook, Classmates.com, and Twitter. Social networking can be a wonderful and fun way to keep in touch and communicate with your family, friends, and colleagues. They can save you time and effort. If you need to get in touch with someone, and you are both members of the same social networking site, you can quickly and easily send him/her a message on the site. Instead of having to make arrangements and plans to meet at a certain place, at a certain time, you can discuss things on the site. Social networking sites can also be a great place to get in touch with old friends or talk to people that you don t often get to see. You can

When business draw on their business line of credit to get more working capital, buy inventory, handle seasonal cash flow gaps, pay off other debts, or address almost any other business emergency or opportunity. However, this metric looks at the amount of time needed to sell inventory, the amount of time needed to collect receivables and the length of time the company is afforded to pay its bills without incurring penalties. In fact, most business acquires inventory on credit, which results in accounts payable. A business can also sell products on credit, which results in accounts receivable. However, cash is not involved until the business pays the accounts payable and collects the accounts receivable. Therefore, the cash conversion cycle measures the time between the outlay of cash and the cash recovery. The cash conversion cycle cannot be observed directly in cash flows, which are affected by financing and investment activities as well; rather, the cycle refers to the time span between a firm s disbursing and collecting cash (Mueller, (2017) Should we keep existing cash on the balance sheet for future mergers and acquisitions or should we consider using some of these funds for supporting our short term line of credit needs? Other than organic growth, a business can enter mergers or acquire other firms to accelerate its market
  • 12. Essay about Private Property The ideology behind what private property represents and conveys through the theories of both Locke and Marx s results in contrasting views. Locke heavily stresses the blending of labor and common land to create private property to increase one s wealth. Liberty and livelihood under Locke s theory is tied to the ability of an individual to control the use of their private property. Marx s theory strongly contends that the bourgeoisie has gained control of the profit making private properties leaving the working class in a stage of exploitation. Marx s conclusion then is to set private property in the hands of the people in hopes of creating universal economic equality. Respectively each thesis places governments, labour and religion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marx s model of private property views it as means of production creating a division of labor. In his theory, Marx takes a look and how private property, along with wealth, are funneled into the hands of the few leaving the ordinary worker unable to gain wealth from private property. The outcome of Marx s principle can be seen especially in the last 30 years in the US with the increase of inequality and access to wealth to unprecedented numbers (USA 11). When examining both theories about private property one cannot go without recognizing the important role that labour plays. Locke who considers labour the cornerstone of man s ability to provide upon himself and that the act itself is so important labour indeed that puts the difference of value on every thing (MPT 297). Locke s belief that every man is born into the world with an equal amount of capability with labour as the main variable determining success. Marx s writings take a look at where private property comes from and who is the beneficiary of such a product. This is where labour is introduced into his analyzes of private property and the concept of externalized labor, that is, externalized man, alienated labor, alienated life and alienated man (MPT 771). Marx s theories look into the exploitation of one social group, the proletarians, by the wealthy class, the bourgeois that is now in the open due to the structure of capitalism. The workers eventually

He has worked his way up from the Illinois State Senate to the US Senate then officially sworn in as president on January 20, 2009. Considering his background in politics, logically, he should be a responsible, trustworthy candidate for president yet that does not stand for his mentality of how to run a country. He has portrayed himself as a person of significance by supporting the same sex marriage law, preventing the unnecessary travel of oil and petroleum, and fighting for paid leave for company employees; nevertheless, he has caused grief to appear in the families of war participants. Conversely, pre presidency, Obama promised to end the war of American troops fighting in Afghanistan in the year 2014, he promised to direct revenues from oil drills to increase coastal protection, he also promised to become a person who unites the American people; however, has this so called president kept any of those promises or have they long been abandoned? As Barack Obama s second term comes to an end, it is apparent that Obama is one of the most hypocritical presidents in American history. How Does Charlotte Bronte Use Religion In Jane Eyre Jane Eyre , written by Charlotte Bronte, is probably one of the best and most known novels of the Victorian literature which includes autobiographical elements within it. One of the most important themes despite social class, equality, and feminism religion plays a significant role because of many reasons. Firstly, the author, Charlotte Bronte, was born as the daughter of a clergyman named Patrick Bronte. Therefore, religion was not something she could chose to bring into her life the way she wanted, but it was something at the centre of concerns and living. Furthermore, he justifies the burned porridge by quoting Jesus, warning the students that man should not live by bread alone but by every word of God. He takes this idea into the extreme by trying to starve their bodies for the enrichment of the soul. Nonetheless, a very painfully ironic moment is when his daughters and wife come to visit the school with curly hair and dressed in colorful and expensive clothes, not to forget looking very healthy confirming that Mr. Brocklehurst does not practice what he preaches. Jane s second religious point of view is her best friend s, Helen Burns, whom she meets at the Lowood School. She presents some ideas that are somehow close to Jane s own religious ideas; however, she is too passive for Jane to accept. • 18. Literary Analysis Of Rene Magritte s The Son Of Man Part of human nature is to find faces in images whether they are supposed to be there or not. So, Rene Magritte purposely made the face unseeable behind the apple. In his painting, there is more than what meets the eye. The way in which he executed the piece is simple yet it still makes those who see the art wonder what it represents. As like any artwork, successes and failures can be found in Magritte s art and how well it portrays the meaning behind the piece. The Son of Man when examined closer, can be more interesting than one might think. Representation lies in every form of art. There is the literal representation, and there is the abstract figurative way of viewing. Simply, the painting shows a man with an apple in front of his face and a storm taking place behind him. Many think the fruit is referencing the tale of William Tell in which he shot an apple off his son s head. Since in Magritte s painting the fruit is floating in front of him, this alludes to him about to be shot in the face. Others quickly think religion inspired the work. The Son of Man sounds eerily close to Son of Man, which is Jesus title. Also, the green fruit could be from the famous tale of the Garden of Eden where Eve took a bite from an apple and committed the first sin. Neither of these are wrong, but Rene Magritte states, Well so you have the apparent face, the apple, hiding the visible but hidden, the face of a person... There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible

George Washington, from Virginia, was the first president ever of the United States of America, set the bar high for presidents to come. He was a great war general and president. Thanks to Washington we avoided foreign wars with Spain with the creation of the Florida boundary, established great trade partners, and didn t have to fulfill the terms of our French alliance. Jackson ran as a democraticВrepublican after Adams terms and won. As president, he defied court rulings and forced the Cherokee Indians to relocate, resulting in the death of four thousand of them. Jackson was a fighter and believed in the Spoils System which benefited him materialistically and support wise. These goods are then stored in warehouses until required. This process produces large amounts of waste in both inventory and warehousing as the goods are not sold immediately, and could be required to be held for any length of time. The Just in Time system however is a process that produces necessary products as required. This system is highly beneficial as it reduces the amount of inventory waste, as the goods are made to order. It also reduces warehousing costs as the goods are made and shipped directly to the customer rather than being held for extended periods at the warehouse. As a result of these benefits, the JIT system has been particularly effective for companies with a high customer demand on newly developed technologies such as computers. If the product is produced when required and as specified by the customer, this not only allows the customer to order exactly what they want with modern technology, but it also benefits the manufacturer who is guaranteed a return on the goods straight

How we define poverty is critical to politics, policy and academic debates about the concept. It is bound up with explanations and has implications for solutions. (Lister, 2004 as cited in Class notes, 2017). The United Nations, first established in 1945 shortly after the second world war, was created to promote international co operation and maintain international order (UN, 2017). The global term for povertyis defined by using the Gross National Product (GNP) and Gross Domestic Product(GDP). Both defined by the World Bank, GNP uses market valuations to measure national income: GNP per capita (each person) gives an indication of the typical material living standards of a nation, whereas, GDP is a measure of the total market value of goods and services output and their economic activity. The United Nations set the bar at the minimum daily income of $1.25 (93 pence) per day (Class notes, 2017). If you are living on less than this you are classed as living in absolute poverty. How poverty is measured is a contested concept and has had researchers long trying to establish a fixed method of determining. The four main concepts are absolute poverty, relative poverty and deprivation, consensual poverty, and social exclusion (Class notes, 2017). The concept of absolute poverty was developed in the 19th century by Joseph Rowntree and was

However, a good teacher must not only teach the student but able to observe them too. In my future classroom, I will gather information about the student through various methods such as interviews and direct observations. It will be wise to have some kind of easy techniques to keep the record of the students and to organize it in the classroom. Not only that I will encourage all of the parents to keep the record of their letters, emails and any documentations to support their child when they go through the meeting like
  • 38. Michael White Narrative Therapy Analysis This week s reading transcribes an interview of Michael White, the founder of narrative therapy at the Dulwich Centre, in Adelaide, South Australia. White defines the therapeutic underpinnings and process of narrative therapy in relation to a client and their personal story. Narrative therapy includes a constructionist foundation which, allows a client to interpret personal experiences based on observation and reflection. In regards to personal practice, an admiration is held for White s use of critical thinking towards his education and the field of psychotherapy at the time. Certainly, this includes a motivation derived from a constructivist approach by searching for different perspectives and to challenge the norm. Furthermore, I value
  • 39. The Documentary About Nevsun, A Canadian Mining Company... The documentary is about Nevsun, a Canadian mining company for permitting forced labor and abuse of human rights in Bisha mine in Eretria. The documentary is prepared and presented by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Fifth Estate in February 2016. The film meshes well with the unfortunate miseries that civilians have to endure under the aristocratic regime of President Isaias Afwerki. The film is incredibly mind boggling and captivating in disclosing felonious activities by the Nevsun in collaboration with the Eritrea s government. The film attempts to portray how compromised cooperation between private firms and aristocratic regimes leads to forced labor; abuse of human right and crimes against humanity ( Nevsun In Eritrea: Dealing With A Dictator The Fifth Estate ). The film focuses its attention on the use of forced conscripted military labor. Indisputably, the film highlights the miseries of Eritrean in implausible style. An extensive investigation by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation highlights how Nevsun, through Segen could have been collaborating with the Eritrean dictatorial regime for cheap labor. Apparently under the military conscriptionEritrea, every man below the age of fifty serves in the army for an indefinite period. Use of conscripted military labor is common especially by colluding with private companies to exploit the civilian. As Kesete Tekle, a former military personnel notes refusing the assignment meant that the authorities could have
  • 40. Women s Rights In The 1820s The Amendment was passed August 26, 1920. Their fight to vote started sometime in the 1820s. In the 1820s american women were titled to be a perfect housewife which included cooking for the men and children, cleaning, looking after children, and should be submissive towards the other gender. They were not allowed to have paying jobs because men thought women could not handle that things except for taking care of their family. In 1851 Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton work together to fight for women s rights. A lot of people were against what they were trying to accomplish and still are. They worked together in making a newspaper to promote the idea of women s rights. Around 1869 the National Women s Suffrage Association was formed
  • 41. 1998 Dbq During the early 1800s, two parties were developed having different perspectives on government and the Constitution. The Democratic Republicans, led by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, were always characterized by following the strict construction of the constitution. The Federalists, led by Alexander Hamilton, were characterized by following the broad construction of the constitution. The presidencies of Jefferson and Madison proved this characterization to be somewhat accurate. Although the Democratic Republicans and the Federalists did support their own ideas and views, they also did many things that contradicted them. The Democratic Republicans started out by supporting their ideas fully and confidently. In Jefferson s letter to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He recommended a charter of the national bank and a tariff to protect young industries. In Document F, John Randolph implies that Madison has surrendered his republican ideals and is emulating a more federalist point of view when the administration called for the tariff of 1816. In conclusion, Madison s actions did not coincide with the original ideals of the party. The Federalists also were greatly confident in their views of the Constitution and the government. Once again, in Document A, Jefferson states that the views of the Federalists were wrong. By stating this, it simply displays the views of a Federalist. The letter shows that the Federalists had different perspectives and the disagreements the two parties had. During Jefferson s term, John Marshall became the most dominant Federalist figure in the federal government. Under Marshall s domination, the Supreme Court retained a Federalist outlook even after Democratic Republican justices achieved a majority in 1811. The Court consistently upheld federal supremacy over the states and protected the interests of commerce and capital. Over the years, Marshall significantly increased the Supreme Court s power over the country, demonstrating the idea of a Federalist, the idea of a powerful central government. Just like the Democratic Republicans, the Federalists also had a hard time with their principles. In the speech by
  • 42. Women And Women During The World War I A million Australians, both men and women, served in the Second World War. Half a million were stationed overseas. They fought in campaigns against Germany and Italy in Europe. The Australian homeland came under direct attack with aircraft bombings by the Japanese in north west Australia. All citizens at this point were encouraged to be apart of the war effort, even children under the age of five. Over 30,000 Australian servicemen were taken prisoner by the Japanese and Germans in 1942. The men that had left Australialeft their jobs to the women. Some of these jobs involved teaching which reduced the staff availability in Australian schools. Families were also divided as the women now had work and provide for their children. Australian school teachers in WW11 urged their students to do their bit in the war effort. (Aussie Kids View: WW11) Organizations such as the SPF, school Patriotic fund, were aimed at giving school children ...a sense of involvement and responsibility... in the war effort that all persons contributed to. • 43. Wants Vs. Needs Fueling Consumption Behaviors Wants vs. Needs Fueling Consumption Behaviors In North Korea many of the consumer decisions are varied between needs and wants. Because the government is very strict, oppressive, and does not spend on food many people cannot access everything they need. For example in many parts of the country there is mass starvation. To counteract this starvation a large number of people have turned to the drug methamphetamine, known as ice to them. The drug itself helps to suppress hunger and allows them an escape from their less than fortunate living conditions. The use of this drug has become somewhat of normality among the people in North Korea and is consistently spreading throughout the country. It has even become common to give a government official a gift of ice as a bribe during the holiday/gift giving season. While these gifts of ice are obviously not used for the same reasons that others in less fortunate situations are, it is shocking to see how comfortable people are with the use of this drug within the country. It has become such a normal occurrence that even children use it. Unfortunately, this is the only way certain people within North Korea can keep from starving and it must be hard to make a decision like that as a child or even for a parent to make that decision for their child. As people I assume they would rather just be able to have enough food to sustain them rather than use a drug, but since that isn t possible their overwhelming hunger leads them to that
