1. Essays On Forgiveness
Writing an essay on the topic of forgiveness can be a challenging yet profoundly rewarding task.
The intricacies of forgiveness delve into the depths of human emotions, morality, and
interpersonal relationships, making it a complex subject to dissect and articulate. Crafting an
essay on forgiveness requires a delicate balance between empathy, understanding, and analytical
insight.
To begin with, one must navigate through the myriad definitions and perspectives on
forgiveness, considering its cultural, religious, and psychological dimensions. The task is not
merely to present a dictionary-like explanation but to explore the nuanced aspects of forgiveness
that vary across individuals and societies.
Moreover, delving into the psychological mechanisms behind forgiveness involves an
exploration of human behavior, cognitive processes, and emotional responses. Understanding the
factors that influence a person's ability to forgive, or conversely, to hold onto resentment, adds
another layer of complexity to the essay.
The historical and cultural context of forgiveness also demands attention. Analyzing how
forgiveness has been perceived and practiced throughout different periods and cultures requires
extensive research and a keen awareness of the sociocultural factors at play.
However, the real challenge lies in weaving all these elements into a coherent narrative. The
essay should not be a mere compilation of facts and opinions but a thoughtful synthesis that
leads the reader through a journey of understanding and reflection. It requires the ability to
connect disparate ideas, present a compelling argument, and engage the reader emotionally and
intellectually.
Furthermore, addressing the ethical considerations surrounding forgiveness necessitates a careful
examination of the moral implications involved. Exploring whether forgiveness is always
virtuous or whether there are situations where it may be questioned adds an additional layer of
complexity to the writing process.
In conclusion, writing an essay on forgiveness is a challenging endeavor that requires a deep
understanding of human nature, psychology, culture, and ethics. It demands the ability to
navigate through intricate concepts and present them in a cohesive and compelling manner.
Despite the difficulty, the exploration of forgiveness in an essay can lead to a greater
understanding of humanity's capacity for compassion and resilience.

5. Essay On The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr Hyde
Society Changes, Humanity Does Not A greek scholar named Origen once said,
the power of choosing good and evil is within reach of us all (Origen). For
centuries mankind has quarreled with the concept of good and evil, right and
wrong, just and unjust. Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one
who is right and never sins (NIV, Ecce. 7:20). Even king Solomon, a man widely
regarded as the wisest man in human history, ponders this question back around 180
BCE. This query is raised once more in during the Victorian era by Robert Louis
Stevenson. His parabolic tale The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde shows
what is likely to happen if someone were to let out their darker inhibitions. In a
time of snobbish propriety, Robert Louis Stevenson looked past the exterior to
question the true nature of man. Understanding Robert Louis Stevenson s insightful
The Strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde involves understanding the Victorian
time period, Stevenson s own personal history, and his perception of human nature.
The Victorian era refers to the time period in which Queen Victoria reigned in
England. It is often known for having strict rules stating what is proper and what is
off color. The term Victorian morality is often used to describe the values of the
period, which includes sexual proprietary, hard work, honesty, thrift, sense of duty
and responsibility towards the less well off ( Victorian Era Morality ). This standard

6. The Great Gatsby- Color Symbolism
The Power of Color Colors are used many different ways by many different people,
but are used mainly as a reflection of the way one feels or his or her own
personality. This idea is depicted through the different characters created in F. Scott
Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, set in the post World War I era. The novel evinces the
major themes through the use and explanation of many diverse colors. Jay Gatsby, the
most significant character in the story, leads a very materialistic lifestyle. Hoping to
gain back his old love, Daisy, Gatsby uses his money to impress her, hopefully
leading to their settling down together. Daisy s second cousin once removed, Nick
Carraway, is the link that helps to connect Gatsby and Daisy. Nick deliberately...

Caught in the romantic atmosphere of the night, Nick puts [his] arm around Jordan
s golden shoulder (Fitzgerald 79). Both description serve to symbolize the fact that
she is happy and quite valuable, as of now, to Nick. While gold and silver are two
valuable colors to the characters, gray symbolizes the corruption behind the money.
One depressing color that is quite significant to the story happens to be the very dull
gray. Gray represents the neutral, dull and corrupt society that resides in America. It
is seen, through some of the structures, that corruption has made a big impact on
everyone surrounding them. One such structure, that is only mentioned briefly, is the
villages in France. When Nick first meets and talks to Gatsby, they bring up how both
men look familiar to one another. Ironically, they both took part in some section of
World War I, Gatsby, in the ninth machine gun battalion, and Nick, in the Seventh
Infantry (Fitzgerald 47). During the quick recapitulation of the war, [they] talked for
a moment about some wet, gray little villages in France (Fitzgerald 47). These
villages represent the corruption and destruction that the war has brought to the
people and society of France. Another gray structure is the windows at Gatsby house.
Even though Gatsby is a man of money and success, the gray windows on his home
signify that this happiness is just a facade, and that in reality, there is much
fraudulence hidden within Gatsby
7. Teen Stress Essay
The growing teen epidemic: Stress

Why are teens so stressed?
Teens routinely say that their school year stress levels are far higher than they think
is healthy and their average reported stress exceeds that of adults, per an annual
survey published by the American Psychological Association. On average, teens
reported their stress level was 5.8 on 10 point scale, compared with 5.1 for adults.
The most common reported sources of stress were school (83 percent), getting into
a good college or deciding what to do after high school (69 percent), and financial
concerns for their family (65 percent). In another survey on youth stress, the sources
were school work (78 percent), parents (68 percent), romantic relationships (64
percent), friend problems (64 percent) and younger siblings (64 percent).
How is stress affecting them?
The APA s Stress in America survey found that 30 percent of teens reported feeling
sad or depressed because of stress and 31 percent felt overwhelmed. Another 35
percent of teens reported that stress caused them to lie awake at night and 26 percent
said that they are overeating or eating unhealthy foods in the past month.
The pressures of schoolwork, family life, social life, sports or other activities,
combined with a relentless media culture, result in young people being more stressed
than ever before. As indicated, stress is also impacting teen s sleep. They reported
sleeping on average 7.4 on school nights and 8.1 hours on non school nights,
8. Alfred Hitchcock s Rear Window
Like many of his films, Alfred Hitchcock s Rear Window (1954) is an intense study
in the sometimes jarring idiosyncrasies of its main character, L.B. Jeffries (James
Stewart). Jeffries is an observer by nature, a professional photographer confined to his
apartment by an injury, with only insurance company nurse Stella (Thelma Ritter)
and his girlfriend, Lisa Fremont (Grace Kelly) for company. This limitation impels
him to begin observing his neighbors, and he witnesses events that lead him to
believe Lars Thorwald (Raymond Burr) has murdered his wide. However, Jeffries
watchful habit raises serious questions about the relationships between neighbors and
ethics of observationin densely populated urban settings. Rear Windowuses set design
and disparate camera techniques to codify the acceptable and unacceptable ways
in which a city dweller might observe their neighbors, based largely on level on
intent. Hitchcock s notoriously elaborate Rear Window set (under the art direction
of J. Macmillan Johnson and Hal Pereira) is so significant because it contains the
entirety of the movie. The rest of the city is a mere suggestion, hinted at by cars and
pedestrians passing by a narrow strip of alleyway. Therefore, the real analysis of city
life that Rear Window explores is that of the relationship between neighbors. In his
essay The Metropolis and Mental Life, Georg Simmel comments that the city dweller
must avoid overstimulation by practicing reserve among others and that,
9. Becoming A Perfect Modern Organization
Workplaces in our current era are a mix of different generations with different
qualifications, experiences, self strengths and limitations. These differences lead to
positive things like development, and negative such as collision. Generations that call
themself co workers have known as Veterans (Traditionalists), Baby Boomers,
Generation Xand Generation Y (Millennials). According to Greg Hammill, This is the
first time in American history that we have had four different generations working
side by side in the workplace. (Hammill, FDU Magazine). If these generations
combined, this can give opinions from their experience that younger generations may
not know and that will result a perfect modern organization. Hammill also declared,
Generational differences can affect everything, including recruiting, building teams,
dealing with change, motivating, and managing, maintaining and increasing
productivity. Generations has made their own life expectation, so every generation
tend to know every thing that they made through in their lives even if the younger
generation are majoring these things. In keeping with Hammill s article, the sequence
of generations with their behaviors and communicating with the others based on the
generations that came before them. In my research, I will describe the generations
and some of their values and differences when it come to one workplace, comparing
each type with the other also is part of this paper.

12. Susan Sontag
Every day, people see pictures. Whether they are selfies on social media, family
pictures on the refrigerator, or photos from a family vacation, pictures have a large
effect on people when they see them. However, the photographs with the largest
impact are horrifying photographs of others, especially those on the news. Shocking
photos, like ones from a war, can make people uncomfortable and cause them to act,
like protesting wars, or writing petitions. Sometimes, the media will not publish
images that are difficult to look at because they know the damaging effect these
photos could have on people. Susan Sontag in her article Regarding the Pain of
Others, uses an ethical and logical appeal to show how photographs can have a

Another result from the Vietnam war was that there was an increase of censorship.
Censorship, according to Sontag, is prohibiting the public view certain words or
photographs for the purpose of the safety of the people. Another war Sontag
references is the Gulf War of 1991, also known as the Techno War. In 1991,
American television users weren t allowed to see footage acquired by NBC (which
the network then declined to run) (66). The producers of NBC were smart enough
not to show the footage to the American public after what happened during the
Vietnam War. If the American people saw footage of this war, they would be
disgusted to see nuclear weapons flying in the sky killing people. They would feel
angry about all of the American soldiers who died during the war, and would want
America to end the war. However, no photographs were taken during this war, so the
American people did not protest the Techno War. Perhaps this censorship was the
government s way of keeping the public out of the war to allow the government to
achieve their

ABSTRACT
Buchi Emecheta is one of the growing numbers of African women writers who have
set their authorial eyes on the conditions of women living both on their home
continent and abroad. She takes her place among Tsitsi Dangarembga, Miriama Ba,
Bessie Head, Ama Ata Aidoo, Lauretta Ngcobo, and Lindsey Collen, to name a few,
as writers who have formed an intense new voice of African womanhood. Emecheta
has published more than twenty works; including the novels Double Yoke, The
Bride Price, Head above Water, Destination Biafra, and Kehinde. Each is an
exploration of what it means to be a woman and a mother in rapidly evolving
societies where traditions and mores are in a constant state of flux. While some of
her novels mirror her own experience as an expatriate living in London, her work
mostly focuses on her native country of Nigeria. The Joys of Motherhood is among
her most pivotal works, as it offers critical commentary on colonialism, tradition,
capitalism, and women s roles as they come to affect one woman, Nnu Ego, and her
family

14. The Generation Of The New Generation
The unknown future may be frightening, but knowing the Millennials are the next
generation of leaders to change the world should be comforting. Millennials make
up the population of society that was born between 1980 and 2000 and in America
there are more millennials right now than baby boomers more than 80 million
(Simmons Duffit). Just like every new generation, the Millennials have been
endlessly criticized by older generations. They have been called lazy, entitled, self
absorbed, social media crazed, technology addicts, privileged, and so much more.
This generation change has drawn more public attention than ever before, maybe
because of the access to widespread information nowadays or maybe because this
time, it s a bigger deal. Millennials aren t afraid to address this topic because they
believe that they can change the world for the better. They want the judgements in
communities and the criticisms in the workplace to stop. They want society to
realize they are not so different from generations before, they are already
transforming life as we know it, and that they will soon be the next generation of
leaders and nothing can change that. Although Millennials can be perceived in
multiple negative aspects, older generations should be open to the unique potential
that this massive generation has to offer as an opportunity to close the gap of
separation and learn to grow from each other. One of the most common criticism of
Millennials is their tendency to be lazy.

New Zealand is well known in international market for the excellence of quality of
their dairy products, which might be consecutively effectively hygienic
atmosphere, a technically development of dairy project, and high quality and
standard values. Quality is measured by the degree of customer s satisfaction. The
suppliers/organizations are very conscious about the customers expectations
because it influences the company s reputation and profitability. So organisations
follow the standards such as ISO and TQM for quality assurance of product.
Fonterra s ice cream is produced by the great and fresh dairy ingredients such as
milk, nuts etc which are available domestically. By do so they ought to make sure
that their dairy goods have higher quality, than their competitors at low cost, and
make sure that their products are safe and sound for health. Manufactured goods
Quality expects to coalesce which will tackle the customer needs and will offer the

19. Kuiper Belt Research Papers
The Kuiper Belt is a belt like disc in our outer Solar System that extends from the
orbit of Neptune at about 30 astronomical units (AU) from the Sun to
approximately 50 AU [1]. It is like a larger version of the asteroid belt, and is
mostly made up of remnants of the formation of our Solar system [2]. As the Kuiper
Belt gets further away from the Sun, it also becomes denser. At its section that
should be the densest it instead stops suddenly, and this abrupt ending is known as
the Kuiper Cliff. The reason for this dramatic falloff is thus unknown [3], but there
is one interesting theory. Patryk Lykawka of Kobe University claims that the
gravitational pull of a so far unseen planet may be responsible for the behavior of the
Kuiper Belt.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just because the planet is not within what we call the Goldilocks Zone does not
mean that there is no possibility for life. Some television shows and movies have
theorized that not all life may be carbon based like the life on our planet is. The
conditions and atmosphere of a planet in the outer reaches of our solar system might
be ideal for a strain of life that we have never considered. If they are able to conceal
a whole planet from us, then these aliens would likely have superior knowledge and
technology than us. These hidden aliens could be responsible for all sorts of strange
phenomenon that occur, everything from UFO sightings and alleged abductions, to
the disappearance of historical figures and what we refer to as lost
20. The Potential of Transgenic Organism
A Transgenic Organism is an organism that s genetic material has been transformed
using a technique called genetic engineering. This modification contains the
mutation, insertion, or deletion of genes. When there is an insertion of genes, they
are most commonly from a different species, this is known as horizontal genetransfer.
Another way genes can be transferred is in nature, when exogenous DNA(DNA
originating outside an organism that has been introduced into the organism) gets
through the organisms cell membrane. When biologists do this artificially, they can
either attach the gene to a virus, insert the gene into the nucleus, or use an electric
pulse.
Transgenic organisms are important to science because they have uses in biological
and medical research, production of pharmaceutical drugs, experimental medicine,
and agriculture. In medical applications, in cases of xenotransplantation (an operation
in which an organ or tissue is transferred from one animal to another of a different
species), a transgenic pig could be able to give a donation of the heart to a human.
Transgenic animals such as cows can produce more nutritious milk for human
consumption which can help in diets or supplements. In agricultural applications,
animals could improve quality that they give with meat and milk, gain disease
resistance, and breeding for selective traits.
Current research on GMO s has been done through loss of function, gain of function,
tracking experiments, and expression

This similar description reveals the fact that Marlow did not see much of a
difference between the Africans and the savage beasts of Africa. A famous criticism
of Conrad s novella is called An Image of Africa, which was written by an African
native named Chinua Achebe. In Achebe s criticisms of Heart of Darkness, he points
out the difference between descriptions of the European woman and the African
woman, who was Kurtz s mistress. The narrator describes the European woman as
being calm and mature, and the African woman as being savage (341 Norton). Even
though many writers claim that Marlow is kind to the Africans by bringing light to
their situation, the real problem does not lie in his description of their situations, but
his descriptions of the people themselves (30 Heart of darkness Interpretations).
Throughout the novella, it seems as if the narrator is describing the Africans as
being almost human, but not quite. There seems to be a line drawn between African
and European that is much thicker than country borders. In a description of a sick
boy, the narrator says, the man seemed young almost a boy but you know with them
it s hard to tell (17 Norton). This statement may seem harmless, but it is completely
unnecessary. It reveals how few interactions Marlow had with the Africans, and his
use of the word them creates a ethnical barrier. Along with negative descriptions of
Africans, Marlow also uses a great amount of racial slurs when speaking
22. Outline The Importance Of Duty Of Care
A duty of care is a legal obligation taken on by carer, with the understanding that we
are agreeing to make sure that we provide a high standard and quality of care to our
residents. Every person is entitled to be supported and should be able to live in an
environment such as a care home, which is free from prejudice, safe from abuse,
cared for in a reasonable, responsible and respectful manner and where they can
feel protected. Under the terms of duty of care, it is our responsibility to make
sure that we make this happen professionally, lawfully, and as always abide by
policies and procedures set out by our care setting. It is our role as carers, to ensure
that all duties are carried out safely and effectively. We must work alongside
safeguarding policies and procedures and is important that we all receive adequate
training and refresher courses. Even though the basis and foundations of duty of
care will never change, factors which support it will. This is why we must attend
and be offered training so we can change with the times and the service user, family
and our colleagues can have complete faith in us that we are trained to the best of
our ability and national standards. It is also our duty to record all relevant
information, be it an accident or incident, an occurrence, or even part of a daily care
record. It must be factual, written in a professional, legible manor, signed and dated.
Where possible we need to document this sooner rather than later, whilst it is
23. Alice Meeting Humpty Dealer
The painting, Alice Meeting Humpty Dealer, by Hilary White, is an intriguing
piece of artwork. Right off the bat, the viewer begins forming questions about the
meaning and purpose off the top of his or her head. The meaning of this art piece
is very apparent and quite easy to understand. By taking a closer look at the
elements of design, White s purpose for creating this piece will be exposed. The
elements of design are all of the components of the piece of art that work together to
make the image whole. Examples of elements of design are focal point, value,
stereotypes, size, and many more which will be introduced in the following text. The
first element that should be looked at is the story. By looking at the painting, one can
get a simple... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this picture, in particular, the ratio is very uneven. The picture is full of light
except for the setting behind Humpty. The dark blue shrubbery and weeds behind
him are an indication that he is the villain. Considering the fact that Humpty is the
dealer, placing him in front of the darkest part of the painting proves that this is the
moment the storyline is not longer good, but is evil consuming good. The
emphasis on Humpty is a key element of White s work. The size of Humpty s body
is large enough to grab one s attention once he or she looks at the image. There is
then an imaginary line that draws one s eye from Humpty dealer s face to his hand
to the bag and then to Alice. The fact that Alice s face is not visible is important
because it leaves the mind to wonder whether or no this is an innocent Alice or a
corrupt Alice. This particular piece of artwork also plays a coexisting role with
stereotypes. Stereotypes are how the majority of people view a certain person or
group of people. In this case the people being stereotyped are children s book
characters. The stories of Alice in Wonderland and Humpty Dumpty are very well
known. White is proving a point about stereotyping. Even though one side of the
characters is shown in both his and her novel, does not mean they both do not have
a darker side. One cannot be stereotyped by one of his or her attributes or pieces of
life, all aspects have to be acknowledged
24. Nuclear Energy Is A Viable Source Of Energy
A much as nuclear power is a viable source of energy, it has some setbacks. The
radioactive waste produced by the reactors need to be disposed off properly since
they can be overly hazardous and may leak some radiations if not properly stored.
Such forms of waste emits radiations from few to very many years. These emissions
are deemed to harm the future generations greatly. The storage of the radioactive
wastehas been a major hindrance to the expansion programs. Thus, this essay aims at
discussing that nuclear energy production is not a viable means of supplying the
energy needs.
The radioisotopes found in the nuclear wastes have a long life. This means that
they may stay in the atmosphere in some ways or the other. In essence, this makes
the soil and water to be contaminated. The mixed wastes cause chemical reactions
and may lead to dangerous complications. The wastes are usually buried deep in the
earth surface. However, the residues can be used to make deadly weapons of mass
destruction. As much as nuclear energy is environmentally friendly, it is still prone
to accidents. Some measures have been put in place to prevent accidents. However,
the risk of more recent Fukushima has ben an associate to nuclear energy. Smaller
radiations can leak and may have devastating effects. The symptoms are inclusive of
vomiting, nausea, diarrhea and fatigue. On one way, it may solve the energy
problems but we must be careful not to solve one problem and create another

25. Adolescent, Antisocial Behavior And Behavior
On the other hand, Moffitt (1993) also identifies adolescent limited as part of the
adolescent offenders. Adolescent limited antisocial behaviour is defined by antisocial
behaviour that starts occurring during adolescence and discontinues at the beginning
of adulthood. These individuals have no history of antisocial behaviour in their
childhoodand are unlikely to continue this behaviour in the future. They are also not
consistent with their antisocial behaviour in different situations. While life course
persistent individuals act antisocially in all situations, changing their type of
antisocial behaviour to fit the circumstances, adolescent limited individuals might
only express antisocial behaviours in certain situations, but not in others.
Causes of Adolescent Limited Antisocial Behaviour
The cause of adolescent limited antisocial behaviour is theorised for one to be social
mimicry. Adolescents who do not express life course persistent antisocial behaviour,
might still know or observe individual who do. Adolescents might observe an
advantage in this behaviour and start to mimic it. This advantage might be a mature
status that is accompanied by power and privilege. It can be argued that
industrialisation and the resulting consequence of children achieving the social adult
statutes later and later in life, leads to a maturity gap, where the biological age and
social age do not match up. This may lead to a increased desire for maturity statues
within adolescents.

gymnastics has flourished into a sporting activity enjoyed by many around the
world. However, it was not until the 1800 s when the Germans and Swedish

There are many theories presented on this debate yet there is limited scientific data
confirming any theory. However all theories lead to a similar conclusion, training is
needed in order to see improvement and achieve success. The controversial side is
whether genetics is a major factor, numerous studies conducted lead to the
scientifically proven fact that genetics determines your base level along with your
physical peak. To test this, scientists subjected untrained people to the same training
regime in order to see their improvement levels. From this, it was plain to see that
some candidates saw great improvements whilst others saw little. Through further
studies it was evident that those who were related saw similar results, from this we
are able to gather that genetics play a major part in you athletic improvement. Those
who saw significant improvements were deemed as high responders, whilst those
who saw little are low responders. Athletes who compete at international level and
achieve high results have been recognised to be high responders along with

Position Paper A tiny measure of patients deny care from the earliest starting point,
having been conveyed to the healing center without wanting to by law
implementation faculty or prehospital care suppliers (West Publishing Company ,
2008). Despite the conditions under which the patient arrives, a choice to leave the
crisis office against therapeutic counsel places work force in an unbalanced bind,
constraining attendants and doctors to pick one of two choices which incorporate
permitting the patient to leave, or they can control him and compel him to
acknowledge treatment. Like most choices made in the crisis situation region, this
one must be made in a flash. Picking impulsively can have significant lawful
ramifications. A doctor or attendant who permits a patient to leave rashly welcomes a
case of medicinal misbehavior. Then again, crisis office faculty who power
undesirable treatment on a hesitant patient open themselves to cases of strike, battery,
and even wrongful detainment. Another option mirrors a business which can be held

Refusals of consideration, similar to agrees to treatment, must be educated. Crisis
office staff have a commitment to depict for a leaving patient the nature and
seriousness of the patient s condition; the nature, liabilities, and advantages of the

patient shows a craving to leave without treatment, work force will be enticed to
depict the potential results in the broadest conceivable terms. This might be the
simplest methodology, yet it isn t as a matter of course the
29. Who Is The Narrator Of Bartleby The Scrivener
The Narrator and Bartleby
In Herman Melville s short story, Bartleby, the Scrivener, the storyteller s aura
towards Bartleby is ceaselessly changing, the storyteller s attitude is gone on through
the maker s use of theoretical parts, for instance, lingual power particular and

One of the unique parts that Melville uses that go on the storyteller s mindset

The Geneva Conventions embody strongly felt humanitarian ideals which is the main

Conventions are an important aspect to the field of international relations. These
treaties embody the commonly felt humanitarian ideals of the majority of the world,
which proves that the international community can work together and agree on
human rights. This element of teamwork across the international community
contributes to the idealist view of international relations. The idealist view claims that

globalization; typically laws and traditions vary per state, but sometimes they can

It is abused because situations in which it is used are all different and the state can
argue that it should remain in the state of exception for longer than others might
deem necessary. (Scheppele, Journal of Constitutional Law). The state of exception
is an example of the decline in respect for international law because it gives a

unthinkable needs that have not been met or that required to be helped. Police and
other law enforcement officials have went beyond the call of duty on more than one
occasion for these groups. Just a few groups that need assistance are as followed:
homeless, elderly, domestic abuse, and lastly mentally handicapped. To begin with
what is homeless? The term homeless refers to someone who is usually poor and
frequently on the move from one temporary dwelling situation to another (Charmard,

issue with society. Opposing to general opinion the common constantly homeless

police and law enforcement officials help these homeless people? The first step is to
find the homeless and help get them into a homeless shelter that will assist in
conditions that will help get back on their feet. Many homeless shelters now a days,

The pilot could have lost consciousness during mid flight or during take off which

challenges of this situations is the 24 hour requirement to report the incident to the

the situation excellently, it could still cause for a number of speculation from the
public about the quality and health of the staff, the safety of flying on this particular

The first approach could be, a fast Press release providing facts with minimal

pros and cons, for instance getting word out to the public quickly could avoid
potential damaging reporting with false claims or unverified information. It will

proactive approach allowing the airline to get ahead

Although many people might expect that burial urns have been used for a lot longer
than they have, the actual ritual and mentality behind these kinds of urns is very
much different to what you may have expected in the first place. Having looked into
this considerably over the years, we understand the importance of knowing the culture
and style behind the products we sell and this includes the history of burialurns.
Burial urns have a long and proud history, and have been used in various forms of
civilization over the years, ranging back as far as 7000BC. These have been found
in some of the earliest Jiahu sites that are located in China, as well as places like
Shaanxi and Yangshao of which some of the urns come from the years 5000 3000BC.

For example, the old Kings of Bavaria used to keep their hearts in an urn after they
died. In terms of the typical cremation urns, though, these were used by the Chinese
civilizations noted above as well as a whole host of different Pre Columbian cultures
that have spanned the length of time.
Romans, for example, used to place the urns in large tombs that acted as a place for
many souls to rest instead of just individual placing throughout time and history.
This makes a massive difference in terms of the way that the burial urns come
together, and ensures that large resting places became a common thing. The history
of burial urns has changed quite a lot as new discoveries are made; however, as it
was found that during the Bronze Age in England the urns were hidden carefully and

In the modern world, the change and growth in the burial urn culture has been quite
remarkable. Cremation urns tend to be made in various styles and formats now

Strategy
Strategic marketing plays a significant role in today s competitive environment.
Strategic marketing can help to distinguish the company from its competitors. Proper
planning and implementation of strategy can provide advantage over other
companies. According to Johnson Whittington (2008), strategy is a long term
planning of the company, think of the near of distant future where the company wants
to be and what it wants to achieve. Its direction and scope helps exploit companies
available resources in the best possible manner helping it to achieve advantage over
others and fulfil stakeholders expectation. According to Henderson (sited at Marketing

It is used in a broader market where production is at mass level. In this strategy
efficient production is required which can be achieved with excellent engineering
and strong distribution point (Carpenter, Bauer and Erdogan 2010). As per Baines
(2008) low cost strategy is not about low prices but it is about striking balance
between cost and price of the product. For cost leadership to be effective there
should be a market were customer is price sensitive and there is no prospect of
differentiation. There is always a threat of price war in this strategy if new competitor
comes in market. Organisations like Morrisons and ASDA used this strategy
Focussed low cost strategy
Focussed low cost strategy is used for shallow markets. Focussed cost strategy is
used when a organisation is targeting a particular area or group of buyers who are
looking for product which fulfils their demand but at the same time doesn t want
to pay much for it. The customer is generally looking for basic requirements and is
not interested in extra services. To meet the price organisations eliminate extra
cost by avoiding such services and focus on the very basic necessity of the product
like Vectone mobile in UK it does not provide extra services like Orange but it
concentrates on basic necessity of mobile users and delivers it at cheaper price

fortunate countries in obtaining clean water supplies (Dahm, 2006). The Starbuck
stores that I have visited give away their used coffee grounds to customers for them
to utilize as a premium fertilizer on their gardens as well as reduce environmental
wastefulness. Starbucks has recently come under fire though, for some of the
slogans they employ on their coffee cups. One slogan, for example, is from Rick
Warren a best selling author and pastor and it reads, You were made by god and for
god, and until you understand that, life will never make sense. ( Coffee stimulates
debate, 2006). Is Starbucks simply trying to benefit from a marketing opportunity, or
are they unethically taking advantage of religion in order to enhance their image?

42. Epistemology And Its Impact On Human Relations
Existence in this sophisticated world as the habitat of human life has been faced with
numerous challenges exhibited in policies that govern relationships. Human
variations in perception of various life concepts are navigated by understanding,
knowledge and the meaning attached to issues. Poverty, racism, global warming,
terrorism, disease, political and religious affiliations are among the issues that
impinge humanrelations today. These problems are influenced with people s
knowledgeabout existence and what they consider to be valid. Thus, philosophy has
manifested great contribution in helping people achieve harmonious existence by
relying on reason in arguments via successful communication and decision making
processes. Epistemology,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Epistemological, ontological and axiological contribution in elaborating who I am
and my stand I am a person who is committed to contributing to epistemology
ontology and axiology in understanding the society for my benefit and other people. I
believe in education, technology dynamics, and change in general but the role played
by philosophy in the understanding of the world and its variations. Philosophy has
enabled me to understand that epistemology and ontology are important elements
knowledge acquisition and proof. Epistemology is distinct from ontology in the sense
that epistemology focuses on the knowledge of things, the way we know things while
ontology investigates what things are in nature and origin which helps me to know
who I am. Epistemology is concerned with belief rationality, nature, origin, methods,
knowledge validity and limits of human knowledge, (Genest, 2004). Following this
observation am committed to understanding how the truth about what I know
influences my personal beliefs and ideologies. Eventually, my ultimate concern is to
justify and verify the little knowledge I possess. According to the school of
evidentialism, the evidence is relevant in the justification of belief, (Clark
VanArragon, 2011). Secondly, ontology is concerned with the entities in the universe,
and I must understand it to understand the world. Questions ranging

Picturesque as Rhetorical Mode in Tintern Abbey

I. Brief definition and discussion of the picturesque

IV. Discussion of Wordsworth s use of the picturesque as a rhetorical device
I. Define and Discuss Picturesque
The concept of the picturesque came out of a need for a label for that gray area
between the sublime (founded on pain and terror) and the beautiful (founded on
feelings of pleasure). The only common definition of the term is, as Gilpin writes,
that kind of beauty which would look well in a picture (Watson 11). As... Show more

All of these divisions are to be described individually, but with an eye to the effect
of the whole. According to Gilpin, nature is intrinsically whole, but is of such a vast
scale, our mere human experience of the parts cannot comprehend this inherent
harmony. This lack gives the artist license to modify the real scene in order to
express wholeness according to his or her rules of composition (Watson 44). Thus,
although it is based on real stations with real views, the search for the picturesque
becomes a quest for an ideal, generic landscape the landscape of the painted postcards
from the grand tour.
II. Discuss Wordsworth s repudiation of the picturesque
As is argued by David Miall, Nicola Trott, WJB Owen, and J. Watson, Wordsworth
repeatedly repudiates the concept of the picturesque. Within Tintern Abbey
specifically, he equates it with his own immaturity in relation to nature. He writes
that in 1793, when he first visited Tintern: I came among these hills, when like a
roe I bounded o er the mountains by the sides Of the deep rivers and the lonely
streams Wherever nature led, more like a man Flying from something that he dreads
than one Who sought the thing he loved. For nature then (The courser pleasures of
my boyish days And their glad animal movements all gone by) To me was all in all. I
cannot paint What then I was. The sounding

HSBC has launched a new worldwide advertising campaign designed to define the
distinct personality of the Group s brand and introduce HSBC as the world s local
bank .
The campaign will run on TV, in print and online, and over the course of the year it
will appear across the 81 countries and territories HSBC serves worldwide.
The concept was developed following worldwide consumer research which found
that, while people appreciate the value of international organizations and services,
they question the prevailing one size fits all global model. Consumers want to be
treated as individuals, and to feel that companies care about them, recognize their
needs and understand what makes their community unique.
Underpinning the advertising is HSBC s philosophy that the world is a rich and
diverse place in which cultures and people should be treated with respect. Around
the world, the Group has built its businesses locally, and HSBC s 31 million
customers can be confident that the service they receive has a world of experience
behind it.

This may be caused due to: * Increase in assets that are held for sale to $376.70M
from $93.90M * Decrease in cash from $1,519.60M to $833.40M used to pay off
external borrowings and pay out dividends.
Woolworths is facing a problem in paying back its short term liabilities using its most
liquid assets.
Inventory Turnover
Inventory turnover measures the company s efficiency in turning its inventory into
sales. Its purpose is to measure the liquidity of the inventory (Carey, 2009)
Woolworths has shown increasing inventory turnover from 10.88x in 2011 to 10.97x
in 2012. Generally, the higher the inventory turnover, the better the liquidity. The
lower ratio in 2011 implies poorer sales since the cost of sales in is $39,050.00M,
lower than $40,792.40M in 2012. However, the improvement in inventory turnover
may indicate ineffective buying Woolworths buys too often in small quantities, with
higher buying price.
Typically, low inventory turnover shows inefficiency in controlling inventory levels
or stock pile up but this is not the case with Woolworths. Its inventory turnover ratio
in 2012 shows improvement despite higher average inventory of $3,717.40M in 2012
than $3,587.65M in 2011, showing that Woolworths is able to produce stronger sales
with higher inventory levels.
Higher inventory turnover ratio in 2012 indicates better liquidity while lower
inventory turnover ratio in 2011 gives signal of

The 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s are all both memorable and marked as influential time
periods for what is the current culture of the United Sates. This paper will discuss
the influence of each decade stated previously. The first factor to be considered is
fashion and how it played a significant role in shaping the catwalk today. The Hippie
Movement in the 60s and 70s was in large part a reason for many political protests.
Music in the 80s can be considered the most recent as well as strangest influencing
factor contributing to the culture of the United Sates.
This paper will first go back into the 50s and explain the effect the fashion during this
time period on the country. Fashion in the 50s was a direct result of the post war
