Exceptional Students Served In Special Schools
I believe there are several reasons why twice exceptional students fail to be identified and served.
The first reason is because teachers are undertrained and do not know how to identify. Another
reason is that some talents are only seen at home or in non academic settings. The third reason is
many students with a learningdisability (identified or not) often get missed because the LD over
shadows the talents or the talents compensate for the LD and both go unidentified. The main reason
I think special educationand gifted education are mutually exclusive in many schoolis because many
people hold the belief that the two are serving different types of learners with different types of
needs. However, they actually share students.

Count Antonio s Monologue
Our readings confirm Charles Taylor s belief that at the beginning of the era covered by our
readings in this unit, people believed themselves porous, but by the latest reading, people
believed themselves to be buffered selves. The following characters in each of the readings
provide sufficient evidence to confirm Taylor s belief: Hamlet is porous in Hamlet, Mr.
Wickham is buffered in Pride and Prejudice, Count Ugolino s sons are porous in Inferno,
Pozdnischeff is buffered in The Kreutzer Sonata and Ivan is buffered in The Death of Ivan
Ilych. The characters of Count Ugolino s sons are porous because they never blame their father
for their terrible fate even though it is all his fault and they try to do what is best for their father
when they are in prison. His sons continue to look out for him and state Father, / it would be far
less painful for us... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of Pozdnischeff and his unwillingness to let his wife influence him is him thinking
that The views that I advocated were not by any means so dear to me that I could not sacrifice
them; but she was the opposite way of thinking; and to give up my opinion would mean to yield
to her; and, whatever else I might agree to, this I could not think of doing (Tolstoy 103). He and
his wife were stubborn with each other and neither compromised very much for the good of
their relationship. He specifically states in this passage that he refuses to change his views and
be influenced by the views of his wife. He resists her views and controls what he is influenced
by. These are some of the main characteristics of a buffered person. Pozdnischeff will not yield to
influence, even when his marriage and family are at stake. The character if Pozdnischeff and his
unyielding views confirm Taylor s belief that people in Tolstoy s time believe that they are buffered

Donatello s Bronze Statue Of David Michelangelo
Donatello s bronze sculpture of David is not to be confused with the much larger and more widely
known statue of the same name, done by Michelangelo. Donatello s statue of David can be found in
the Bargello museum in Florence, Italy. The statue only stands about five feet tall, which when
compared to the seventeen foot sculptureby Michelangelo, is relatively small. The statue is made
of bronze using the lost wax technique. It depicts David as having a very effeminate
contrapposto stance, (the standing figure is posed so the weight rests on one leg, while the
other leg is bent at the knee in a very relaxed position), despite standing upon Goliath s severed
head. One could almost view David as a girl, provided he was not nude, due to the soft looking
expression on his face, and the way his hair flows. The floral arrangement upon his head is very
distinct. The statue exudes epicenism, as David is clearly a soldier holding a sword and wearing
boots standing upon his vanquished foe s head.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This sculpture was the first freestanding, since classical antiquity, nude sculpture in the round,
standing free to be seen from all angles, instead of being against a background. It brings forth Rome
and Ancient Greek callings such as the contrapposto stance, which gives it the illusion of being
somewhat animated.
Donatello s David is a classic work of Renaissance sculpture, given its Christian subject matter

The Ethical Decision Making Process
Ethical Decision Making Process Ayva Rodriguez Felician College NURS 380 Elizabeth
Stallings RN, MA, DMH January 22, 2015 Abstract Nurses often encountered various ethical
dilemmas in the practice setting. Both virtue ethics and caring ethics support good ethical
decision making for nurses (Park, 2012, p. 149) but these are inadequate to assist in solving an
ethical dilemma (Park, 2012, p. 149). For that reason an ethical decision making tool is helpful
for the nurses or clinicians to come up with an ethical decision (Kelly, 2012, p. 571) that allows
them to gather information, identify any gap of understanding on the issue or the disagreements
between the involved parties through a clear communication (Park, 2012, p. 140). Several
authors presented an ethical decision making processes (Park, 2012, p. 141), here presented the
two processes that can be applied in resolving an ethical dilemma. One example of ethical
decision making process is the DECIDE model by Thompson, Melia Boyd (Allen, Chapman,
Francis, O Connor, 2008, p. 5) and the Integrated ethical decision making model which was
derived from the combination of the different ethical decision making models strengths (Park,
2012, p. 140). These two ethical decision making model steps are identical to each but differ on the
detailed instruction on how the steps are to be done or used in actual case. By comparing the two
models the integrated ethical decision making model have a detailed instruction. The

Village Surf Shoppe management wants to create a new market with inland consumers that are

The campaigns target market ranges from ages 18 24 both men and women who are pursuing active
lifestyle while attending college. Our market includes extreme sports enthusiasts with great athletic
ability to pursue their passion. They are outdoor lovers, mainly interested in summer sports
activities. Free spirits and passions for surfing is a must. Our target market generally lives of low
income, but that does not matter because the lower the income the more passion and talent out
there. The campaign will take place in California cities; Sacramento, Fresno and Bakersfield.
Our first target market for this campaign will be Sacramento, California. The city of Sacramento has

The Terror Known as Robespierre
Robespierre was one of the most significant men throughout the period of the French Revolution;
he had such an immense amount of power that he was able to have rivals of the revolution put to
death. Robespierre s power came from his joining of the Committee of Public Safety (CSP),
whose original job was to deal with diplomacy and warfare with foreign enemies; though under
Robespierre s power, the CSP became a part of the government which dealt with internal
policing, which got in the way of the jurisdiction of the Committee of General Security (CSG).
The job of the CSG was to remove and discipline enemies of the revolution, though they ended up
competing with the CSP for power over this matter. With this influence from his place in the
CSP, he climbed a social ladder to becoming both extremely influential as well as difficult to
remove from control. Despite the fact that Robespierre held a great deal of power, his authority
eventually declined and led to his death: while working within the CSP, he ordered countless
individuals to be guillotined whether or not people on the outside of the conflict viewed them as
deserving of such punishment: in one instance, he put to death several people that he viewed as
anti revolutionary: Georges Jacques Danton, Lucie Simplice Desmoulins, Jean François
Delacroix, and Pierre Philippeaux. Robespierre did not leave this up to the CSG whose job was to
punish this type of people and because of this, he gained the reputation of a tyrant he

Influence of the Roman Theater on Cicero’s Oration Pro...
Influence of the Roman Theater on Cicero s Oration Pro Caelia By
Cicero s oration in defense of M. Caelius Rufus shows many substantive and stylistic borrowings
from the Roman Theater, particularly the comedies of the 2nd century b.c.e. This would scarcely
seem remarkable to Cicero, to employ such devices is only to make use of the tools of his trade,
as a practical and practicing rhetorician. In this case using the theater as a framing device to guide
his audience s response.
So too would the judgments and emotions existing in the cultural reservoir of Greco Roman, or
Attic Latin stage have met his division of purpose as he considered the permanent written speech,
he would set down in the wake of the trial, however it was decided. ... Show more content on

Cicero, by example of his own life takes a broad inclusive approach to Oratory. In a earlier
statement we encounter words which probably reflect his own view closely: But the fact of the
matter is that oratory is a much more considerable activity and depends on a far wider range of
different arts and branches of study, than people imagine (Cicero, Orator I 4,16).Particularly
Cicero seems interested in holding on to the orator s special sphere the third branch of Philosophy
life and behavior of human beings which is to say, human nature (Cicero, Orator I 15, 69).
We hear of the orator s special strength to rouse men s hearts to anger, hatred, and indignation
(Cicero, Orator I 12,53), a not dissimilar goal to that of the dramatist. We find that a speaker s job
is to ensure that the feelings of his audience are affected just the way he wants them to be (19,
87). His Five Tasks of the orator (and to keep within the dignity of the theme) (Cicero, Orator I
38, 142 44) given in a following paragraph, are suitable instructions for any playwright or actor.
Even at the beginning of On the Orator Cicero has one of his characters observe approvingly of
the benefits to be gained from the less serious art on regulation of expression, voice and movement
of body. Cicero has his character Antonius make an observation that the chief distinction between
an actor speaking and an orator is that the actor has more leeway. He is excused if he has

Immigration Quota Law Of The 1920 s
Chicago s Al Capone. Prohibition remained law until 1933, just as the Twenty first Amendment
withdrew the Eighteenth Amendment.
The period between 1900 and 1915 is thought to be the peak of immigration. More than ten million
people came to the United States looking for a better future. The fact that these included Jews and
Catholics alerted older Anglo Saxon and Protestant American citizens. They also disliked the fact
that newcomers with their Old World customs, dared to compete for low wage jobs. As the tension
over immigration rose, a series of anti immigration measures were taken. Immigration Quota Law
of 1924 and a 1929 act, both of these laws limited the number of immigrants to over a hundred
thousand to be distributed among people of different nationalities as oppose to the number of the
fellow countrymen already living in the United States in 1920. ... Show more content on

Throughout all states, the southern ones were especially hostile towards African Americans.
Various literacy tests that prevented African Americans and other immigrants from voting were
conducted. The government authorities segregated the majority of public buildings, and there
were also cases of segregation in private establishments. African American citizens also had to
deal with the terror of the Ku Klux Klan. Klansmen tortured and killed their victims, among them
Catholics, Jews, and immigrants. They were however, rarely punished for their violent actions.
By the end of the decade, the Klan s membership suddenly abated. Despite being known for the
prosperity and dissipation, this decade ended on October 24 1929 with the collapse of the stock

Segregation In School Segregation
On May 17, 1954 the United States Supreme Court handed down its ruling in the landmark case
of Brown V. Board of topeka, Kansas. The Court s Unanimous decision overturned provision of
the 1896 Plessy V. Ferguson decision, which had allowed for separate but equal public facilities,
including public Schools in the United States. Declaring that separate educational facilities are
inherently unequal, the Brown V. Board decision help break the back of State Dash sponsored

Similarities And Differences Between The Hunger Games...
Both Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games and Gary Ross movie, The Hunger Games, represent
characters thoughts and feelings through their respective mediums. While the novel is written as a
first person narrative, the story is told with a third person narrator the film, the latter giving insights
to happenings outside the arena due to the ability to switch between internal and external
focalisation (Fisher 28). Characters thoughts are foreshadowed throughout the novel using diction
unlike the film, which portrays differed details from the novel to achieve the same effect (Lothe
86). With a long discourse time in the novel, and the use of tropes and symbols in the film, both
Collins and Ross portray characters inner thoughts (Fisher 30). These examples would give a better
understanding of how the novel and film version of The Hunger Games represent characters
thoughts and feelings such as that of hatred, being hurt, love, and grief.
Written in first person, readers are limited to Katniss view on events in the novel, but shown

The Pros And Cons Of Pollution
Pollution is a serious global issue that has been occurring for as long as humans have inhabited the
planet. There are many different varieties of pollution, as well as an abundance of materials, both
natural and synthetic, that the earth has been contaiminated with. Shifrin ( 2005), states: To date,
wastes remain a fact of life and there are only three places to dispose of wastes air, water, or land.
Wastemanagement always involves tradeoffs. (p. 676). Even though Shifrin is correct in his
analysis, it does not excuse the amount of environmental poison that continues to exist today, nor
the amount of environmental problems that it has caused throughout history. The tradeoffs of
pollutionhave devastated entire communities, causing waves of sickness and death in their wake.
According to Shifrin (2005): Water borne contagious disease still caused devastating epidemics in
the early 1900s, compounded by growing, congested populations. Air pollution also grew to a high
priority by midcentury because its impact was so observable and immediate. (p. 676). Generally,
these diseases were spread through poor sanitary practices as well as the overwhelming volume of
pollution that was generated by so many indivduals with little knowledge about what the adverse
effects on the overall environment would be.

back to 1967. Northway et al described it a lung injury in premature infants and the classic BPD
had four stages. Each of the stages has radiographically and pathologically differences. The new
versus classic BPD features have changed over the years. The approaches to care, including
surfactant administration, permissive hypercapnia, and noninvasive ventilation have changed. All
these has increased the survival of low birth weight infants as before with classic BPD. The classic
BPD was before surfactant and more management techniques, and inflammation and alveolar septal

BPD had four stages and each has radiographically and pathologically differences. In Stage 1; Days

The Story of Sam Patch
Paul Johnson utilizes monograph to recount the story of Sam Patch, an intoxicated working class
spinner who got praised for leaping off waterfalls in the late 1820s. In spite of the fact that the
chronicled record is spotty, Johnson arranges Patch inside an arrangement of more extensive
subjects dependent upon the areas of his bounced. To start with, experiencing childhood in the
factory town of Pawtucket, Johnson tells an account of seized patriarchy: Sam s father was a
craftsman shoemaker who lost his business in the face of industrialization. This was some piece of
a more extensive story of the rise of compensation work and diminishing area holding, both of
which served to undermine the control and position of fathers. After the grown up Sam Patch
moves to Paterson, NJ, he does his first public/political hops. To begin with, he bounced to
undermine the opening festival of a center privileged nature hold assembled by a neighborhood
ambitious person who was attempting to prohibit the working population from his more cultured
ideas of relaxation. Johnson utilizes the fairly interesting story of Sam Patch and his ascent to
celebrity to investigate various expansive progressions happening in America throughout this time
period. Industrialization, Rise of popular, self made celebrity culture, Sam Patch as Jacksonian

Why America Needs To Change
America
Merika, land of the free and home of the brave. America is one of the strongest countries in the
world, even though we only have the second largest military. I think America needs to change.
America needs to change because we need a bigger punishment for rapists and murderers, we need
better gun control, and we need a stronger military.
First, America needs to change the way we punish rapists and murderers. I think we need to give
rapists and murderers a longer or harsher punishment. The way we punish rapists and murderers is
too easy for what they did to their victims. Murderers should have the same things happen to them
as what they did to their victims. Rapists should have life time in jail. America would be a better

Analysis Of Physicalism And What Aspect Of It Jackson Targets
003177126
1. The best aspect of my paper is the discussion of physicalism and what aspect of it Jackson
targets in his article.
2. My discussion of Jacksons response to Churchland s argument is a bit weak and I know I should
go back and look at it.
3. Explaining what physicalism is and Jackson s responses to it in detail while respecting the page
limit
4. Should I talk more about the different types of physicalism?
In his article What Mary Didn t Know Frank Jackson comes up with a convincing argument, which
challenges physicalism, a theory of the mind, and its validity. In this paper I will look at Jacksons
argument, specifically his second premise, and whether or not his conclusion follows it. I will also
attempt to present the objections, which he presented to his paper and the replies he builds against
them.
Physicalism is the idea that the physical facts are all of the facts; which implies that if you know
all of the physical facts you know all facts. Physicalism is a type of substance monism and there
are several different kinds of physicalism, but it is not necessary to go into the specifics because
Jackson targets the validity of physicalism as a theory of the mind and not a specific type of
physicalism.
Jackson s argument against physicalism, also known as the knowledge argument, is as follows:
(1) If Physicalism is true, then, for any domain, knowing all the physical facts in that domain is
knowing all the facts in that domain;
(2) For some

Conversion Disorder And Functional Neurological Symptom...
Conversion Disorder/Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder
Abstract
Functional Neurological Disorder Symptoms also known as conversion disorder, is a disorder
that doctors say isn t a real disorder that patients seem to make up. The appearance of conversion
disorder is often related to traumas or even milder stressors such as the loss of employment or
divorce. The following essay will give a general breakdown of what the conversion disorder is, what
the symptoms are, the pathophysiology aspect, possible treatment if any and why this particular
disorder.
It s all in my head is a famous lyric from a song written by a well known Hip Hop artist Nelly,
titled Over and Over . But is it really all in one s head. There are many disorders that pertain to
the mind, well mostly all disorders with a mental illness, or a person over thinks or thinks too
much about or make a big deal of relates to the brain. Conversion Disorder is one of those many
disorders that deal with the psychological aspects of things. Conversion disorder also known as
Functional Neurological Symptoms Disorder (FNSD) involves motor, sensory, or seizure like
symptoms that are incongruent with any recognized neurological or medical disorders. Just like
all psychological or physical disorder one should know all the aspects of the disorder such as what
it is, what the symptoms are, how it will be treated and maybe even the physiological processes
associated with disease.

Analysis Of The Song Drifting Through The Waves
Amey Kamat Writing 151 Prof. Domitteo November 13, 2014 Drifting Through the Waves
Water has been a main factor through human histories life. Our human body is composed mostly
of water. Water helps our body by regulating the body s temperature, hydrating the body, help
clean the body and help lubricate your bones. People don t know that you can use water for other
purposes such as water rehabilitation. So to top it all off the Song waves by Mr. Probz was a
great edition to this paper. The song Waves is about how a guy that recently broke up with his
girlfriend and he s having trouble forgetting her. At the beginning of the song Mr. Probz wakes up
on a beach right in the shallow part of the water. To me it symbolizes that the beach and water are
there to help patch his wounds by forgetting his girlfriend. So with that water rehabilitation is
mainly used to help build back your strength, endurance, posture, mobility, and many more. Water
rehabilitation is used for major or even the simplest injuries. Injuries and injured parts of your body
tend to use water rehabilitation are ACL/MCL strains, arthritis, chronic pain, neck, shoulder, back,
strokes, knees and neurological disabilities. There have been many athletes that have used water
rehabilitation or aquatic rehab to help rehabilitate their body from major injuries. Aquatic
rehabilitation is one of the most useful types of rehabilitation and can be much more relaxing then
other rehabilitation techniques. Aquatic

Why Is Tattoos Important In The Workplace

If you have a visible tattoo or an unusual piercings, you become a walking stereotype, begging

Even though Tattoos and Piercings are methods of self expression and are unique, your creativity

The key to succeeding is getting a feel for the culture of a workplace. When it comes to the issue of
whether ink will affect your livelihood, Haberfeld says it really depends on where you hope to get

Depending where you work the creativity is showing where you can and can t work.
Conclusion
So it is clear that although Tattoos and Piercings are methods of self expression and are unique,
your creativity on your skin should be covered at all times while you re at work for two main
reasons. First, some tattoos are gang related and doesn t look good for a workplace. But most
importantly, somethings on your body make you look trashy and unprofessional.

The Fundamental Concept Of Additive Manufacturing Essay
3. What is 3D printing?
3 D printing also known as additive manufacturing or stereolithography or rapid prototyping has
been predominantly explored for the past few years. 3D printing technology is called additive
manufacturing because the material is built from scratch, without any loss in existing volume of an
object by chipping, drilling or cutting. (Tony Hoffman, 2016). The fundamental concept of additive
manufacturing is printing an object by successive deposition of layers of various materials. Before
an object can be 3D printed, it first has to be sliced into thousands of horizontal and vertical
planes in Computer Aided Design (CAD). There are similar software like CAD which are used
for the purpose of Slicing . Some of these software are CAM Computer Aided Manufacturing and
3D Scanner. These horizontal and vertical planes together make up the 3D model of the object.
Once a virtual design of the object is prepared, also called as the feed , a file in the .stl format is
provided to the printer which then prints the desired object. Though the basic outcome of 3D
printing is same, different technologies have been developed as per its need in the industry. Based
on personal requirements, an object can be customized on small as well as large scale.
As 3D printing continues to grow and evolve, a number of companies are establishing their mark
in this area. 3D printing not only involves the printing of an object, but it is a step by step process

A Comparison OfThe Consolation Of Philosophy And Doctor...
Happiness is often thought to be something of relativity. What makes one person happy does not
necessarily bring happiness to another. Nevertheless, how happiness is defined, by no doubt, has
something to do with the characteristics of a culture and time. For example, the beginning of the
sixth century was characterized by many controversies in the newly officialized religion of
Christianity Arianism, to name one. Religion, at the time, became a big factor in defining true
happiness. As controversies got resolved, the use of religion as a means to defining happiness
remained a constant through the sixteenth century, but the influence became more on the need for
reformation in the Church. One author in the sixth century, Boethius, writes vividly on the idea of
happiness in his The Consolation of Philosophy. Similar points that Boethius makes about
happiness can be found between the lines of a sixteenth century writer, Christopher Marlowe s
Doctor Faustus. Due to the difference in the eras of which The Consolation of Philosophy and
Doctor Faustus were written, the authors present happiness in a manner relative to their time, while
ultimately both agreeing that true happiness is rooted in God. Both authors present their own
understanding of what happiness is not in order to better proclaim what it is. Boethius makes a
point that happiness cannot be found in temporary things. He writes, Do you really hold dear that
kind of happiness which is destined to pass away

Nearly all heroes are faced with a variety of inconceivable tasks which in turn help to overcome
obstacles that the character may face. In Spider Man, Peter Parker is forced to overcome these
impediments so that he can help protect the people in his city. The task that first illustrates this
quest is Spider Mans revenge on the man who killed his uncle and committed robbery. To catch
this criminal, though, Spider Man has to learn how to use his mind: thinking quickly and on the
spot. Not only does it take courage for Spider Man to defeat this criminal, it takes quick reflexes
that only his spidey senses can offer him. In the end, Spider Man tricks the man and is successful in

final ordeal, saving New York from cold blooded villainy for a while. Therefore, by completing,
undergoing, and overcoming extremely difficult tasks such as battling with the enemy and saving
the ones he loves, the film Spider Man shows that it is part of the quest archetype.
Body paragraph 2:
A large part of any story, especially one with the quest archetype, is love. Since the first time he

asked his aunt: Aunt May, Aunt May, is that an angel? This truly displays how much Spider Man
adores Mary Jane. In fact, Peter will do anything to help her. For example, near the beginning of
the film, Peter saves Mary Jane from slipping in the cafeteria. Because of his powerful love of
Mary Jane, Peter also faces consequences, though. His enemies, such as the Goblin Goblin, can
manipulate him using Mary Jane as a bribe, or ransom.

Ecological Change in New England under Native Americans...
Although the colonial history of New England has been thoroughly researched and taught across all
levels of educational institutes across the United States, the study of its environmental history often
takes a backseat to America s complex and enthralling social and political history. This trend has
been abating in recent decades, given that more Americans have taken an interest in their
environment and conservation, and in response to this new demand the field of environmental
history was initiated by historians like William Cronon, who explores the changes in the New
Englandenvironment under the stewardship of Native Americans and European colonist in Changes

The popular view among the colonists regarding their deep ecological footprint was that it was
furnished by an approving God, meaning that they could utilize this blessing as they saw fit. Using
the land to farm and graze animals was in their view, improving the land, and thus another signifier
that they held more of a right to own it, as opposed to the lazier Native Americans who tended to
hunt and gather food more than the colonists. Cronon gives us good insight into the sound
methodology that historians used to determine the environment at that point, from primary sources
describing the environment or various phenomenon, to the presence of various local statutes
dealing with the environment that hinted at the changing state of the colonial settlements and
wilderness. From most accounts, it seems that most colonists were unaware of the complex
relations that existed between them, Native Americans, and the environment. Cronon s work
meticulously details the chasm between the colonial and Native American outlooks on the
environment and on each other. Europeans were grounded in a mercantile economy and judged
the environment by the resources it afforded an aspiring entrepreneur who had to find a way to
turn a profit and repay debts and other capital expenditures (20). Many letters sent back to the Old
World by colonists detailed the abundance of flora

The Cultural Impacts Of Culture And Cultural Evolution In...
Introduction If you compare your DNA to the person sitting next to you, how similar do you think
it will be? It turns out that biologically humans are about 99.0 99.9% similar to each other. We
know that these small differences account for distinctive variation such as hair, eye, and skin
color. However, the person next to you may not speak the same language, have the same beliefs, or
have the same customs. Therefore all aspects of human behavior are not determined by biology. So
what accounts for these differences? In this chapter we will explore cultureand how cultural
evolutionhas impacted humans.
What is Culture? (couple paragraphs, general ideas, cultural phenomena)
Culture is the transmission of ideas and technologies across generations. Unlike genetics humans
are not born with culture, they learn it from the people around them and their environment. A
society s language, food, arts, clothes, religion, beliefs, and tools all fall under the umbrella of
culture. Thus, accounting for the differences found between people. However, just like biology,
culture cannot account for all human behavior.
In order for behaviors to be considered cultural, they must fit into a criteria established by cultural
anthropologist. Anthropologist study the culture of local and global communities. In order to
obtain accurate information from different communities cultural anthropologist engage in a practice
called fieldwork. When conducting fieldwork anthropologist must establish

The Similarities Between The Gospel Of Mark And Luke
Coincidences are a funny thing. They may seem completely uncalled for and uncommon; and
many may say that the similarities between the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are just this:
uncalled for and uncommon. This plagiarism issue is summed up at the Synoptic Problem ,
making the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke the synoptic gospels. The problem shows how
many passages of the three gospels have the same wording, sometimes in the same order. However,
the similarities balance out with the vast differences between what is included and what is not. The
Gospel of Markcontains the most shared passages between Matthew and Luke. Many comparative
pieces of literature exist with columns of each text (synoptic parallels), where Mark is typically...
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The widely accepted theoretical solution for the synoptic problem is a second source, usually
called the Q scroll. The Q scroll is thought to contain 235 verses, while leaving out any narrative
referring to Jesus birth, early life, or death. The scroll has been reconstructed from shared
knowledge between the gospels. This is commonly called the two source hypothesis , where the
Gospel of Mark and the Q scroll were accessible by the authors of the Gospels of Matthew and
Luke. This is brought around by the fact that Matthew and Luke share commonalities with Mark
that they do not share with each other. The two source hypothesis gains further support from the
timeline, which puts Mark as the first gospel around 70 CE and Matthew and Luke following suit
around 85 CE.
A lot about the gospels remains unknown to scholars. But the similarities help understand what
texts were available to who. The two source hypothesis already depicts and early Christianity
where some gospels, such as the Gospel of Mark and the Q scroll were easily accessible to
enough people that the other synoptic gospels could be based on them. There may be many
similarities in the gospels that help pin together the life and death of Jesus, but many of the
differences prevent a crystal clear

The Children And Their Primary Schools Report
The children and their primary schools report, also known as the Plowden Report, was published
in 1967 by the Central Advisory Council and written by Bridget Plowden. The aim of the report
was to consider Primary Education in all of its aspects and the transition from primary to secondary
education. The Report took four years to write and was published just after the post Second World
War. At this time many people believed that environmental influences played a significant role in
the development of students. (Bartlett et al., 2001).
The Plowden documented different recommendations into how children should be taught and
strongly emphasised the importance of the first 6years of a child s education. The report also looked
closely at any social inequalities that might affect the child s learning such as family size and/or
overcrowding. The Plowden also had a major influence on today s education, it introduced a new
style of teaching and learning, that hadn t been used before. Before the report was published,
education was taught in a very traditional and didactic way of the teacher standing at the front of
the class and sharing their knowledge to the children who expected to just listen and take in the
information. However after its publication the way in which children was taught became very child
centred with them becoming more involved in their learning and the lessons were adapted in a way
that would benefit and interest the child as the Plowden states that .Many people

very lively piece of music that it is danced too but instead of 6/8 time it is done in either 2/2 time

most important part of the dance and signal the dancer on what to do. It is crucial to understand
the beat of the reel before ever attempting to dance it. Traditionally the reel was danced in soft

Gun Toting Subway Customer Gets Into Open Carry Dispute with Police
In Connecticut, people can open carry so long as they have a permit and are carrying the permit
with them in public. You cannot be arrested for simply carrying openly, and here is where the law
gets murky. On one hand the law also states police officers can ask to see your permit and refusal
to produce the permit can lead to an arrest because you interfered with police.
On the other hand, the law states that police need a reasonable suspicion that a crime has been

Ritual In The Lottery
The traditions and the ritual of The Lottery in Shirley Jackson s story seems to be just as old as
the town itself, specifically since most of the residents don t recall any of the old rituals, even old
man Warner, who is celebrating his 77th lottery. By the means of this, they are old fashioned in
some ways and fixed in traditions of superstitions that seemed to involve human sacrifice. The
village lottery culminates in a violent murder each year. A bizarre that suggests how dangerous
rituals can be when people follow it blindly. Before we know what kind of lottery they are
conducting, the villagers and their preparations seem harmless. They have selected a relatively
pathetic man to run the lottery, and children run around gathering stones in the town square. In The
Lottery by Shirley Jackson, Psychoanalytic theory helps the reader come to the conclusion that the
townspeople are included in an act of conspiracy. This conclusion is significant because of the
refusal of the townspeople to abandon tradition and question the lottery ritualsuggests the negative
consequences of blindly following evil rituals, the randomness of persecution, and the townspeople
are governed by mob psychology and abandon their reason to act out with great cruelty.
The refusal of the townspeople to abandon tradition and question the lottery s ritual suggest the
negative consequence of blindly following the evil rituals. In the text, the narrator, is explaining a

Capital Pyongyang Essay
Yes, the British sport has managed to invade arguably the most covert and hostile nation in the
world North Korea. For decades foreigners were denied access in this secretive country until in
the 21st century when the government has finally started to issue tourist visas for a few
selective parts of the nation. Capital Pyongyang is one of those places, where outsiders are
allowed to visit and back on April 25, 2008, on the outskirts of the city, at Taesongsan Park, the
locals heard the sound of a ball hitting the bat for the first time. It was a six a side triangular
tournament, named Pyongyang Friendship Cup. The idea of taking the game to an isolated country
like North Korea was a brainchild of Jon Newton, the then President of... Show more content on

The Syrian connection Once famous for its rich history and tradition the ancient city of Aleppo,
has now been reduced to ruins in the ongoing Syrian civil war. But, centuries before this
massacre, this city had witnessed one of the most significant incidents in the history of cricket.
According to the written documents, in 1676, it was in Aleppo where the game of cricket was
first played outside the British territories. Back in the 17th century, the city used to be a trading
hub and it attracted a lot of British traders and sailors. By that time back in England, Cricket had
already been evolved and it was quite popular amongst the travelling Englishmen, who carried
the game outside the isles. Henry Teonge of Wolverton, Worcestershire, was one such traveller,
who came to Aleppo during that time and documented in his diary about the game of Krickett ,
which used to be played amongst the Britishers as a pastime. One entry in his diary on May 6,
1676, read, This morning early at least 40 of the English, with his worship the Consull, rod out of
the cytty about 4 miles to the Greene Platt, a fine vally by a river syde, to recreate them selves.
Where a princely tent was pitched; and wee had severall pastimes and sports, as duck hunting,
fishing, shooting, hand ball, krickett, scrofilo; and then a noble dinner brought thither, with greate

The Four Families of the Filovirus Ebola
The filovirus Ebola consists of 4 families: Marburg, Ebola Zaire, Ebola Sudan, and Ebola Reston.
It is a rather simple virus in structure; each contain a single strand RNA strand and 7 different
proteins, 3 which are only slightly understood and 4 that are completely unknown. The virus harms
the immune system like the HIV virus, but Ebolacauses an explosive attack. The virus is
associated with the measles and mumps family, pneumonia viruses, parainfluenza viruses which
include colds, and respiratory system related viruses. Unlike common viruses which are ball
shaped, Ebola s shape represents that similar to a shepherd s crook, a long snake like thread that
looks like a worm. Because the Ebola virus has a distinct structure, it has been classified as a
thread virus in its own family of viruses, the filoviruses.
Meet the sisters:
Marburg (1st discovered)
She originated from an African organism but received a German name. First identified in an old
city of central Germany in 1967, Marburg devastated the town, killing 1 out of 4 victims and
causing effects that resembled rabies. Scientists analyzed the virus structure and found strands and
strands of tangled rope, some wrapped in looks similar to donuts. In this way, for some time,
Marburg was called stretched rabies, its worm like shapes stretched out unlike the rabies virus
which is bullet shaped.
Effects
Marburg attacks human tissue like nuclear radiation, damaging the nervous system and especially
the brain. Victims

Purpose: To inform my audience that there are kids out there that need our help and to have the
audience persuade to donating.

ATTENDTION GETTER/ RELEVANCE;
Think back to a time when you were younger, maybe the time when you played dress up using
mommy s make up. Maybe it was a time when you when you pretended that you were a power
ranger, to tell you the truth I wanted to be the pink ranger! Think of when you said you want to
grow up to be just like mom or dad! And maybe pictured how your wedding would be like when
were older or if you re really going to be a police officer or even a PokГ©mon trainer.

Comparing The Rate Of Reaction Between Calcium Carbonate...
Investigate the rate of reaction between Calcium Carbonate and Hydrochloric Acid at different
concentrations
Aim:
To Investigate the rate of reaction between Calcium Carbonate and
Hydrochloric Acid at different concentrations.
Background Knowledge:
I know from my knowledge of science, that by adding together a carbonate and an acid, that a salt,
water and Carbon Dioxide are produced. Therefore in order to measure the rate of reaction, one of
these products needs to be measured, and the rate at which it is produced can be used to define the
rate of the reaction. The methods that can be used are either to measure the mass of the solution at
intervals. Or to measure the produce of gas (Carbon Dioxide).
Prediction:
Using the known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Increasing the molarity of the acid, will result in more gas being produced simply because there is
a higher concentration of acid, thus more acid molecules within the solution. This will mean that
the acid molecules with react with the calcium carbonate more often than a lower molarity
solution. With more collisions, the chance of a reaction occurring also increases, and so with
more reactions, more gas will be produced. However, it is only the chance of reacting that is
increased, and therefore it is not definite that a reaction will take place, which is likely to be
responsible for any anomalous results. I need a minimum of six values. These will give a
distinguishable spread whilst remaining within a safe range
Volume of Gas (Outcome)
To be measured
This will be able to be easily measured using a syringe and so should give accurate results
Time (Controlled)
10 seconds
Through preliminary work, it has been seen that this is sufficient to get results which can be easily
read off apparatus
Volume of Acid (Controlled)
50cc
This volume remains within the safe limit, whilst still allowing a good range of results to be
produced
Mass of Calcium Carbonate (Controlled)
20g
This is a safe mass of the solid, yet will still be enough to react with the acid and produce good
results
Temperature (Controlled)
20В°C
This controlled temperature has been proved in preliminary work to work well with the other
variables and produce results

Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides Essay
Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides
Christ resembles Dionysus in many ways. Is it possible that Christ is simply an extension of the
Dionysian myth? Though the concepts of wine and faith unite the two, the idea of revenge
compared to self sacrifice separates the two deities. Dionysus fits the Greek understanding of
vengeful and selfish God that bear more anthropomorphic traits than Godly traits. Christ, however,
transcends human desires for revenge and acts in self sacrifice. This is the key separation between
them.
The similarity between the two Gods is striking. Dionysus is associated with wine and revelry.
Christ forever associated himself with wine and celebration through the act of Communion and the

It is said that before he died he cried out, It is finished. The last words that the chorus speaks echo
the same thought. It is finished. That is not the only surprising thing. The Bible tells of God s
struggle to find a way to salvage the relationship with his children. The last line of the Bacchae
reverberates the concept of the Godly struggle to find the right action.
The motives of Dionysus are extremely perplexing to a modern audience. I will go; for that which
fate forbids, can never befall me. For this thy mockery be sure Dionysus will exact a recompense
of thee even the god whose existence thou deniest; for thou art injuring him by haling me to prison
(Euripides 28).
John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The quote from the Bacchae is rooted in Dionysus s
individual desire for revenge upon those who snubbed him by not believing in him. Nowhere in
the text is Dionysus noted for performing any large acts of self sacrifice. The story of Jesus, on
the other hand is based in self sacrifice. According to John 3:16, Christ allowed himself to die on
the cross to take on the pain of every person in the world. The contrast in motivations between the
two divinities is startling whether or not one believes either to be truth.
Jesus is reputed to have

  • 2. Exceptional Students Served In Special Schools I believe there are several reasons why twice exceptional students fail to be identified and served. The first reason is because teachers are undertrained and do not know how to identify. Another reason is that some talents are only seen at home or in non academic settings. The third reason is many students with a learningdisability (identified or not) often get missed because the LD over shadows the talents or the talents compensate for the LD and both go unidentified. The main reason I think special educationand gifted education are mutually exclusive in many schoolis because many people hold the belief that the two are serving different types of learners with different types of needs. Count Antonio s Monologue Our readings confirm Charles Taylor s belief that at the beginning of the era covered by our readings in this unit, people believed themselves porous, but by the latest reading, people believed themselves to be buffered selves. The following characters in each of the readings provide sufficient evidence to confirm Taylor s belief: Hamlet is porous in Hamlet, Mr. Wickham is buffered in Pride and Prejudice, Count Ugolino s sons are porous in Inferno, Pozdnischeff is buffered in The Kreutzer Sonata and Ivan is buffered in The Death of Ivan Ilych. The characters of Count Ugolino s sons are porous because they never blame their father for their terrible fate even though it is all his fault and they try to do what is best for their father when they are in prison. Donatello s Bronze Statue Of David Michelangelo Donatello s bronze sculpture of David is not to be confused with the much larger and more widely known statue of the same name, done by Michelangelo. Donatello s statue of David can be found in the Bargello museum in Florence, Italy. The statue only stands about five feet tall, which when compared to the seventeen foot sculptureby Michelangelo, is relatively small. The statue is made of bronze using the lost wax technique. It depicts David as having a very effeminate contrapposto stance, (the standing figure is posed so the weight rests on one leg, while the other leg is bent at the knee in a very relaxed position), despite standing upon Goliath s severed head. One could almost view David as a girl, provided he was not nude, due to the soft looking expression on his face, and the way his hair flows. The floral arrangement upon his head is very distinct. The statue exudes epicenism, as David is clearly a soldier holding a sword and wearing boots standing upon his vanquished foe s head.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 7. The Ethical Decision Making Process Ethical Decision Making Process Ayva Rodriguez Felician College NURS 380 Elizabeth Stallings RN, MA, DMH January 22, 2015 Abstract Nurses often encountered various ethical dilemmas in the practice setting. Both virtue ethics and caring ethics support good ethical decision making for nurses (Park, 2012, p. 149) but these are inadequate to assist in solving an ethical dilemma (Park, 2012, p. 149). For that reason an ethical decision making tool is helpful for the nurses or clinicians to come up with an ethical decision (Kelly, 2012, p. 571) that allows them to gather information, identify any gap of understanding on the issue or the disagreements between the involved parties through a clear communication (Park, 2012, p. 140). Several authors presented an ethical decision making processes (Park, 2012, p. 141), here presented the two processes that can be applied in resolving an ethical dilemma. One example of ethical decision making process is the DECIDE model by Thompson, Melia Boyd (Allen, Chapman, Francis, O Connor, 2008, p. 5) and the Integrated ethical decision making model which was derived from the combination of the different ethical decision making models strengths (Park, 2012, p. 140). These two ethical decision making model steps are identical to each but differ on the detailed instruction on how the steps are to be done or used in actual case. By comparing the two models the integrated ethical decision making model have a detailed instruction. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Terror Known as Robespierre Robespierre was one of the most significant men throughout the period of the French Revolution; he had such an immense amount of power that he was able to have rivals of the revolution put to death. Robespierre s power came from his joining of the Committee of Public Safety (CSP), whose original job was to deal with diplomacy and warfare with foreign enemies; though under Robespierre s power, the CSP became a part of the government which dealt with internal policing, which got in the way of the jurisdiction of the Committee of General Security (CSG). The job of the CSG was to remove and discipline enemies of the revolution, though they ended up competing with the CSP for power over this matter. With this influence from his place in the CSP, he climbed a social ladder to becoming both extremely influential as well as difficult to remove from control. Despite the fact that Robespierre held a great deal of power, his authority eventually declined and led to his death: while working within the CSP, he ordered countless individuals to be guillotined whether or not people on the outside of the conflict viewed them as deserving of such punishment: in one instance, he put to death several people that he viewed as anti revolutionary: Georges Jacques Danton, Lucie Simplice Desmoulins, Jean FranГ§ois Delacroix, and Pierre Philippeaux. Caelius Rufus shows many substantive and stylistic borrowings from the Roman Theater, particularly the comedies of the 2nd century b.c.e. This would scarcely seem remarkable to Cicero, to employ such devices is only to make use of the tools of his trade, as a practical and practicing rhetorician. In this case using the theater as a framing device to guide his audience s response. So too would the judgments and emotions existing in the cultural reservoir of Greco Roman, or Attic Latin stage have met his division of purpose as he considered the permanent written speech, he would set down in the wake of the trial, however it was decided. ... We hear of the orator s special strength to rouse men s hearts to anger, hatred, and indignation (Cicero, Orator I 12,53), a not dissimilar goal to that of the dramatist. We find that a speaker s job is to ensure that the feelings of his audience are affected just the way he wants them to be (19, 87). Characters thoughts are foreshadowed throughout the novel using diction unlike the film, which portrays differed details from the novel to achieve the same effect (Lothe 86). With a long discourse time in the novel, and the use of tropes and symbols in the film, both Collins and Ross portray characters inner thoughts (Fisher 30). Air pollution also grew to a high priority by midcentury because its impact was so observable and immediate. (p. 676). America is one of the strongest countries in the world, even though we only have the second largest military. I think America needs to change. America needs to change because we need a bigger punishment for rapists and murderers, we need better gun control, and we need a stronger military. First, America needs to change the way we punish rapists and murderers. I think we need to give rapists and murderers a longer or harsher punishment. The way we punish rapists and murderers is too easy for what they did to their victims. Murderers should have the same things happen to them as what they did to their victims. Explaining what physicalism is and Jackson s responses to it in detail while respecting the page limit 4. Should I talk more about the different types of physicalism? In his article What Mary Didn t Know Frank Jackson comes up with a convincing argument, which challenges physicalism, a theory of the mind, and its validity. In this paper I will look at Jacksons argument, specifically his second premise, and whether or not his conclusion follows it. I will also attempt to present the objections, which he presented to his paper and the replies he builds against them. Physicalism is the idea that the physical facts are all of the facts; which implies that if you know all of the physical facts you know all facts. Physicalism is a type of substance monism and there are several different kinds of physicalism, but it is not necessary to go into the specifics because Jackson targets the validity of physicalism as a theory of the mind and not a specific type of physicalism. Jackson s argument against physicalism, also known as the knowledge argument, is as follows: (1) If Physicalism is true, then, for any domain, knowing all the physical facts in that domain is knowing all the facts in that domain; (2) For some ... • 31. The Fundamental Concept Of Additive Manufacturing Essay 3. What is 3D printing? 3 D printing also known as additive manufacturing or stereolithography or rapid prototyping has been predominantly explored for the past few years. 3D printing technology is called additive manufacturing because the material is built from scratch, without any loss in existing volume of an object by chipping, drilling or cutting. (Tony Hoffman, 2016). The fundamental concept of additive manufacturing is printing an object by successive deposition of layers of various materials. Before an object can be 3D printed, it first has to be sliced into thousands of horizontal and vertical planes in Computer Aided Design (CAD). There are similar software like CAD which are used for the purpose of Slicing . Some of these software are CAM Computer Aided Manufacturing and 3D Scanner. These horizontal and vertical planes together make up the 3D model of the object. Once a virtual design of the object is prepared, also called as the feed , a file in the .stl format is provided to the printer which then prints the desired object. Though the basic outcome of 3D printing is same, different technologies have been developed as per its need in the industry. Based on personal requirements, an object can be customized on small as well as large scale. As 3D printing continues to grow and evolve, a number of companies are establishing their mark in this area. 3D printing not only involves the printing of an object, but it is a step by step process ultimately ... • 32. A Comparison OfThe Consolation Of Philosophy And Doctor... Happiness is often thought to be something of relativity. What makes one person happy does not necessarily bring happiness to another. Nevertheless, how happiness is defined, by no doubt, has something to do with the characteristics of a culture and time. For example, the beginning of the sixth century was characterized by many controversies in the newly officialized religion of Christianity Arianism, to name one. Religion, at the time, became a big factor in defining true happiness. As controversies got resolved, the use of religion as a means to defining happiness remained a constant through the sixteenth century, but the influence became more on the need for reformation in the Church. One author in the sixth century, Boethius, writes vividly on the idea of happiness in his The Consolation of Philosophy. Similar points that Boethius makes about happiness can be found between the lines of a sixteenth century writer, Christopher Marlowe s Doctor Faustus. Due to the difference in the eras of which The Consolation of Philosophy and Doctor Faustus were written, the authors present happiness in a manner relative to their time, while ultimately both agreeing that true happiness is rooted in God. Both authors present their own understanding of what happiness is not in order to better proclaim what it is. Boethius makes a point that happiness cannot be found in temporary things. Although the colonial history of New England has been thoroughly researched and taught across all levels of educational institutes across the United States, the study of its environmental history often takes a backseat to America s complex and enthralling social and political history. This trend has been abating in recent decades, given that more Americans have taken an interest in their environment and conservation, and in response to this new demand the field of environmental history was initiated by historians like William Cronon, who explores the changes in the New Englandenvironment under the stewardship of Native Americans and European colonist in Changes in the Land: Indians, Colonists, and the Ecology of New England. Cronon s work... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The popular view among the colonists regarding their deep ecological footprint was that it was furnished by an approving God, meaning that they could utilize this blessing as they saw fit. Using the land to farm and graze animals was in their view, improving the land, and thus another signifier that they held more of a right to own it, as opposed to the lazier Native Americans who tended to hunt and gather food more than the colonists. Cronon gives us good insight into the sound methodology that historians used to determine the environment at that point, from primary sources describing the environment or various phenomenon, to the presence of various local statutes dealing with the environment that hinted at the changing state of the colonial settlements and wilderness. From most accounts, it seems that most colonists were unaware of the complex relations that existed between them, Native Americans, and the environment. Cronon s work meticulously details the chasm between the colonial and Native American outlooks on the environment and on each other. Europeans were grounded in a mercantile economy and judged the environment by the resources it afforded an aspiring entrepreneur who had to find a way to turn a profit and repay debts and other capital expenditures (20). It turns out that biologically humans are about 99.0 99.9% similar to each other. We know that these small differences account for distinctive variation such as hair, eye, and skin color. However, the person next to you may not speak the same language, have the same beliefs, or have the same customs. Therefore all aspects of human behavior are not determined by biology. So what accounts for these differences? In this chapter we will explore cultureand how cultural evolutionhas impacted humans. What is Culture? (couple paragraphs, general ideas, cultural phenomena) Culture is the transmission of ideas and technologies across generations. This plagiarism issue is summed up at the Synoptic Problem , making the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke the synoptic gospels. The problem shows how many passages of the three gospels have the same wording, sometimes in the same order. The widely accepted theoretical solution for the synoptic problem is a second source, usually called the Q scroll. The Q scroll is thought to contain 235 verses, while leaving out any narrative referring to Jesus birth, early life, or death. The scroll has been reconstructed from shared knowledge between the gospels. This is commonly called the two source hypothesis , where the Gospel of Mark and the Q scroll were accessible by the authors of the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. This is brought around by the fact that Matthew and Luke share commonalities with Mark that they do not share with each other. The two source hypothesis gains further support from the timeline, which puts Mark as the first gospel around 70 CE and Matthew and Luke following suit around 85 CE. The Children And Their Primary Schools Report The children and their primary schools report, also known as the Plowden Report, was published in 1967 by the Central Advisory Council and written by Bridget Plowden. The aim of the report was to consider Primary Education in all of its aspects and the transition from primary to secondary education. The Report took four years to write and was published just after the post Second World War. At this time many people believed that environmental influences played a significant role in the development of students. (Bartlett et al., 2001). The Plowden documented different recommendations into how children should be taught and strongly emphasised the importance of the first 6years of a child s education. The report also looked closely at any social inequalities that might affect the child s learning such as family size and/or overcrowding. The Plowden also had a major influence on today s education, it introduced a new style of teaching and learning, that hadn t been used before. Before the report was published, education was taught in a very traditional and didactic way of the teacher standing at the front of the class and sharing their knowledge to the children who expected to just listen and take in the information. The virus harms the immune system like the HIV virus, but Ebolacauses an explosive attack. The virus is associated with the measles and mumps family, pneumonia viruses, parainfluenza viruses which include colds, and respiratory system related viruses. Unlike common viruses which are ball shaped, Ebola s shape represents that similar to a shepherd s crook, a long snake like thread that looks like a worm. Because the Ebola virus has a distinct structure, it has been classified as a thread virus in its own family of viruses, the filoviruses. Meet the sisters: Marburg (1st discovered) She originated from an African organism but received a German name. First identified in an old city of central Germany in 1967, Marburg devastated the town, killing 1 out of 4 victims and causing effects that resembled rabies. Scientists analyzed the virus structure and found strands and strands of tangled rope, some wrapped in looks similar to donuts. In this way, for some time, Marburg was called stretched rabies, its worm like shapes stretched out unlike the rabies virus which is bullet shaped. Effects Marburg attacks human tissue like nuclear radiation, damaging the nervous system and especially the brain. Victims ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Comparing The Rate Of Reaction Between Calcium Carbonate... Investigate the rate of reaction between Calcium Carbonate and Hydrochloric Acid at different concentrations Aim: To Investigate the rate of reaction between Calcium Carbonate and Hydrochloric Acid at different concentrations. Background Knowledge: I know from my knowledge of science, that by adding together a carbonate and an acid, that a salt, water and Carbon Dioxide are produced. Therefore in order to measure the rate of reaction, one of these products needs to be measured, and the rate at which it is produced can be used to define the rate of the reaction. The methods that can be used are either to measure the mass of the solution at intervals. Or to measure the produce of gas (Carbon Dioxide). Prediction: Using the known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Increasing the molarity of the acid, will result in more gas being produced simply because there is a higher concentration of acid, thus more acid molecules within the solution. This will mean that the acid molecules with react with the calcium carbonate more often than a lower molarity solution. With more collisions, the chance of a reaction occurring also increases, and so with more reactions, more gas will be produced. However, it is only the chance of reacting that is increased, and therefore it is not definite that a reaction will take place, which is likely to be responsible for any anomalous results. I need a minimum of six values. These will give a distinguishable spread whilst remaining within a safe range Volume of Gas (Outcome) To be measured This will be able to be easily measured using a syringe and so should give accurate results Time (Controlled) 10 seconds Through preliminary work, it has been seen that this is sufficient to get results which can be easily read off apparatus

  • 48. Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides Essay Christ of the Holy Bible and Dionysus of Euripides Christ resembles Dionysus in many ways. Is it possible that Christ is simply an extension of the Dionysian myth? Though the concepts of wine and faith unite the two, the idea of revenge compared to self sacrifice separates the two deities. Dionysus fits the Greek understanding of vengeful and selfish God that bear more anthropomorphic traits than Godly traits. Christ, however, transcends human desires for revenge and acts in self sacrifice. This is the key separation between them. The similarity between the two Gods is striking. Dionysus is associated with wine and revelry. Christ forever associated himself with wine and celebration through the act of Communion and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is said that before he died he cried out, It is finished. The last words that the chorus speaks echo the same thought. It is finished. That is not the only surprising thing. The Bible tells of God s struggle to find a way to salvage the relationship with his children. The last line of the Bacchae reverberates the concept of the Godly struggle to find the right action. The motives of Dionysus are extremely perplexing to a modern audience. I will go; for that which fate forbids, can never befall me. For this thy mockery be sure Dionysus will exact a recompense of thee even the god whose existence thou deniest; for thou art injuring him by haling me to prison (Euripides 28). John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The quote from the Bacchae is rooted in Dionysus s individual desire for revenge upon those who snubbed him by not believing in him. Nowhere in the text is Dionysus noted for performing any large acts of self sacrifice. The story of Jesus, on the other hand is based in self sacrifice. According to John 3:16, Christ allowed himself to die on the cross to take on the pain of every person in the world. The contrast in motivations between the two divinities is startling whether or not one believes either to be truth. Jesus is reputed to have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
