The Causes Of Forced Migration In The Country Of Population
Forced migration is defined as, a general term that refers to the movements of refugees and internally
displaced people (those displaced by conflicts within their country of origin) as well as people
displaced by natural or environmental disasters, chemical or nuclear disasters, famine, or development
projects (Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, n.d.). Since the 1940, this issue has
risen steady and affects over a million individuals globally. In 2015, nine out of 1000 people were
evacuated by force (Bozorgmehr Razum, 2017). Health problems can become abundant among forced
migrants due to the vast amount of people dwelling within a small camp. Multiple diseases may begin
to fester among the refuge location because many people may bring the foreign illness to the location.
This may lead to new illnesses in a place that has not experienced that particular type of illness in that
area. Because majority of forced migrants are in such crowded quarters, diseases can proliferate
quickly throughout the population as a result of poor hygiene and sanitation. This leads to an increase
in health care demand; however, due to the increased amount of people in the vicinity these types of
services may be limited or unavailable to the individuals. A decrease or destruction of health care to
forced migrates can eventually lead to and increase mortality rate (Skolnik, 2016). Language and
cultural barriers may impact health care attainment for some individuals of forced

Kant Duty
It begins with a presented value of intrinsic goods, through analysing the relationship between the
good will and duty. He claims there is nothing that can be held be held to be good, without its
limitations except good will itself. For example, an act of courage, can be an act of arrogance or
carelessness unless the good will is there to correct their influence on the mind. Thereby it corrects the
entire principle of action. Furthermore, the good will will is only good through its willing, therefore it
does not need an end or purpose. It is higher than any will that is brought about by inclination and
eventually the good will presents itself like a shining jewel. The aim of course is enjoying life and
happiness, but reason is not best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Universal Law
If duty really is a concept that contains legislation for our actions, then it has to be equal amongst all
rational beings, If something is equal, it is universal.
Kant argues the will must be commanded by the principle; one must be able to will that a maxim of
our action should become a universal law. This principle is only accomplishable through the practice
of reason free from any incentive or influence, something the hypothetical imperative cannot do. In
practice, this means if genocide was a universal law, the human race would soon become extinct, thus
it is not a practical principle. Whereas acting in accordance to prolonging and sustaining human lives
is a universal law everybody should desire. Therefore, the good will is guided by rationale.
ii. Humanity
To expand on the first formulae, the good will is made objective by humanity. Like the categorical
imperative, rational beings exist as an end in itself, they are directed toward themselves as well as
other rational beings. Therefore rational beings should not treat themselves or others as a means. This
is consistent with the examples mentioned by Kant such as the suicidal man treating himself as a
means in order to escape from his condition, or the dishonest man abusing the trust of others through
his false promises, abusing others as a means for their own financial

The World Trade Center Bombing Of 1993
The world trade center bombing of 1993, was a terrorist act orchestrated by Ramzi Youseff, (b. Abdul
Basit Mahmoud Abdul Karim) a Kuwaiti national with ties to Iraq, Pakistan but considers himself a
Palestinian. He spent time in the training camps of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan where he mastered his
skills in explosives; he has traveled the world as a Jihadist performing terrorist acts.
The Players
Yusuf became a ranking member of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda who sought out the destruction
of the American Superpower by any means available. The target of the bomb plot was the World Trade
Center (WTC) Complex, a sixteen acre site in lower Manhattan. Yusuf illegally entered the United

The Explosion
The event took place on 26 February 1993 about noon when two men in two separate vehicles entered
the WTC parking basement in one Yellow Ford Econline Van and a red Chevy Corsica, the Chevy
served as a getaway car. One man parked the Van (Ramzi Yusuf) while the other (Eyad Ismoil) waited
for him in the red Corsica. Yusuf exited the Econline van and took out 4 bottles of nitroglycerine. The
bottles were placed between boxes containing 1,500 pounds of an explosive mixture of urea nitrate,
nitric and sulfuric acids. Among the boxes that crammed the cargo space were three tanks of
compressed hydrogen meant to be an explosive booster, a Atlas rock master blasting cap was used
ignite each nitro bottle, and each cap had a twenty foot fuse. At 12:05 Yusuf then lit all four fuses and
closed the van s rear doors he and Ismoil drove off in the red Corsica. He had calculated that they had
about 12 minutes to get away from the building.
At approximately 12:17 PM the bomb exploded creating a 98 foot deep hole through seven stories of
sub concrete, a crater of about 220ft x 100ft wide it is believed that blast speed was about 15,000ft per
second it also caused a pungent thick smoke to rise all the way up to the 46th floor of the tower. The
blast caused six people to lose their lives and about 1,000 people to be injured. All

Key Features Religious Practices Of Chinese Popular...
Key Features Religious Practices of Chinese Popular Religions The main Chinese religions have many
key features. The main religions include shamanism/ancestor reverence, Confucianism, Daoism,
Mahayana Buddhism, and idol worship. These 5 religions share some features in common. For
example, Chinese popular religion focuses on the human being s pursuit of health, wealth, and
happiness in their lives (quote the textbook). Chinese popular religions want the human to be doing
well and succeeding in their day to day activities of their lives. Another key component of the main
Chinese religions is respecting one s elders. The religions teach the importance of obeying the
commands of the elders and honoring the family name. The Chinese allow place a strong emphasis on
the temple. The temple is a place where the people could communicate, understand, and learn about
their gods (quote the textbook). The next subsections will be describing the key religious practices of
each of the 5 Chinese religions.
Shamanism/Ancestor Reverence Shamanism and ancestor reverence are key religions of the Chinese.
Shamans are spiritual healers who call on spirits while they are dreaming to relieve an individual from
uncertainty or cure an individual from a disease (Laughlin Rock, 2014). Shamans are seen as elders of
the Chinese community and are respected for the tremendous healing power they have on others.
Furthermore, ancestor reverence is the respect many younger generations have for their

Pitbulls
What if I told you that a Chihuahua had a lower passing rating on a temperament test then Pit bulls?
What is a temperament test? A temperament test is a test to see how dogs react to certain situations
which can be from threatening to non threatening. Unfortunately, though Pit bulls are often
discriminated against and face wrongful stereotypes. Here I will be shining some light on these
stereotypes and beliefs.
First off, Pit bull is not one certain breed but a group of different breeds which includes the American
Pit Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and lastly the Staffordshire Terrier. So let
s stick to the American Pit Bull as it is the most popular amongst Pit bulls. But no matter which breed
I choose the results don t change, no breed is a bad breed, there are only bad owners. A dog is a
representation of its owner and the environment that it is raised in. Pit Bulls are a very common breed
when it comes to dog ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also another test done by the Journal of Forensic Science showed that vicious dog owners reported
significantly higher criminal thinking, entitlement, sentimentality and super optimism tendencies.
Vicious dog owners were arrested, engaged in physical fights, and used drugs significantly more than
other dog owners. Which reveals how Pit bulls are often used in wrongful means and given a bad
name when it all boils down to the owners.
In conclusion I feel like an efficient solution to the abuse of Pit bulls is to perform background checks
on people trying to adopt vicious dogs. And also have someone vouch for them to prove that they are
not adopting the dog for wrongful situations. Pit Bulls can be as loving as any other dog and don t
deserve to be discriminated against and banned in some places. They are beautiful dogs and deserve to

TSA Incar Case Study
I chose TSA agar plate number 33 for my unknown ID. First, I made a streak plate of my bacteria in
case I needed more later. Then, I performed the Gram s stain. The Gram s stain results were a very
dark purple stain and small round clusters of bacteria. This led me to believe I had a Gram positive
cocci. Nothing went wrong with this test, the test was without a doubt positive (very dark purple), and
I was very happy with how it turned out. With that information, and after looking at the Unknown ID
flow chart directions given to us in the course, I decided to do a catalase test and dropped the 3%
hydrogen peroxide straight on my original agar plate because there is no other option for cocci in this

The Structure And Culture On An Organization s...
Introduction
The aim of this essay is to summarise the relationship between the structure and culture on an
organisation s performance and Pobl as a not for profit organisation. Pobl is a mental health charity
founded on the idea of People helping People . It was established by David Bentley Miller, who had
experienced a mental health illness and found that there was insufficient support, consequently, he
started a charity with like minded people to aid those who were also affected. The charity also
supports a food share scheme, Mental Health for Armed Forces, and Mental Health training courses
for companies, which also financially supports the charity.
The relationship between structure, culture, and people has a huge effect on an organisation s
performance. It can boost employee s moral, help set the guidelines and ethics of a company and
increase the efficiency of the company s workload.
Organisation structure
An organisation structure is a system in which the employees of an organisation are sorted to define
job roles, responsibilities and to show them who they report to. There are many ways in which modern
day businesses can structure themselves, it can depend on many factors; how large the business is,
how many people it employs and what day to day business activities require. Large businesses tend to
have tall hierarchical structures based on products/functions whereas smaller businesses will have
flatter structures. It is important to note that there is not one

Analysis Of David Hanson s Carnage And Culture Essay
Question2: In Carnage and Culture, Victor David Hanson expressed a slanted perspective about the
crucial battles in western history in order to support his theory that western militaristic strategies are
superior to alternative forms of warfare. He fostered his sentiments by explaining how specific battle
tactics can unify or divide a nation in a matter of moments. However, his reference to the concept that
western warriors continuously triumph in war, is expressed in a manner that does not fully evaluate
both perspectives of the conflict. Hanson alluded to his message behind Carnage and Culture in his
thesis: A sense of personal freedom, superior discipline, matchless weapons, egalitarian camaraderie,
individual initiative, constant tactical adaptations, and flexibility, preference for shock battle of heavy
infantry were themselves the murderous dividend of Hellenic culture at large ... Yet for the past 2,500
years even in the Dark Ages, well before the Military Revolution, and not simply as a result of the
Renaissance, the European discovery of the Americas, or the Industrial Revolution there has been a
peculiar practice of Western warfare, a common foundation and continual way of fighting, that has
made Europeans the most deadly soldiers the history of civilizations. (Hanson 5 6)
Although Hanson is able to give an overview of valuable battles that express western confidence and
reflect the west s brutal military tactics that, his analysis of the war does not

A Report On The Customs System Of India

For our team project, we will be exporting LED light bulbs from India. This country has initiated an
Indians Customs EDI System to facilitate trade and to exchange documents electronically. Vijay
Anand, customs manager for India with Expediters International describes the export processes to be
very simple, If all the documentation are perfect, you can even clear customs on an export within three
to four hours subject to the documentation (new.export.gov) First, it is mandatory for an exporter to
register their business with the Directorate General Foreign Trade (DGFT) or regional import export
licensing authority. An Importer Exporter Code (IEC) is also mandatory, it is a 10 digit code which is
issued by DGFT. (portology.com) The IEC code serves as an export license, a customs copy of this
document needs to presented to the customs authority for clearing the goods and to prevent penalties
and/or possible confiscation of the good (indolegal.com).Along with the IEC, Anand labels the
Authorized Dealer (AD) code as a basic requirement for exporting from India, Every exporter who s
involved in a foreign transaction should have a bank account, and this account should be informed to
Indian customs and through the Bank of India, which is a federal bank , an AD code is allotted to each
bank (new.export.gov). Moreover, a Business Identification Number (BIN) is required to file a

Education And The World Of Physical Education
In the last few decades there has been a disconnect in the world of Physical Education. The stigma that
physical educators bare has brought misunderstanding to parents and kids alike. The importance of
health and even the education of basic motor skills has been substituted for standardized testing, and
PE classes are further cut away in school budgets due to a lack of awareness. Studies have proven on
multiple occasions that there is a very strong correlation between more physical education and higher
test scores. Giving children the chance to release energy and have fun in a safe environment is
extremely important in their future development.
The foundation for physical education branches from Movement Education, which teaches kids to
develop motor skills and coordination that are the building blocks for all physical activities whether it
be sports or just throwing a ball. Movement education is an important theme to teach the pre K and
elementary age group. At this time period, children are just learning to control their bodies in a
mindful way, and reinforcing the ideas of a mind and body connection will help them further develop
their skills. One of the key components of movement education is the involvement with students.
There are no teams or scores, and a movement education activity often combines several motor skills
into a game or objective.
Movement Education has been more so phased out in modern teaching environments. The peak in
popularity of movement education

Tay Sachs Reflection
Almost everybody has something happen in their life that makes a huge difference. Whether it is big
or small; long or short; fun or academic and most importantly whether or not others think it is
important. It doesn t matter if somebody else over looks it, if it is important to you, then it matters. For
me personally, the most important occasion that has happened in my life so far is when I learned about
Tay Sachs disease. Tay Sachs disease is a rare, genetic disease that causes progressive loss of
functions in infants. Each child with Tay Sachs is born with the condition and has inherited it from
his/her parents at the time of conception. These children are missing a key enzyme and without it a
fatty substance builds up in the brain. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

know. It is incredibly hard to earn a spot onto a team who is researching rare diseases, however, I
believe if I try hard enough and do not give up I can make it. There is not a known cure or treatment
and I believe I can find one. If I cannot make it onto a Tay Sacks research team, I plan on attempting
to earn a spot onto a Cystic Fibrosis research team. As my third choice for genetic diseases to
research, I would choose Parkinson s Disease or Canavan s Disease. I am a math major who loves
physiology and helping people. This can potentially be an odd combination, however I love children
and would do anything to help them. I have always loved helping people and this is a way that I can
do that and potentially cure them at the same time. When treating these children, you are not just
helping the children, you are also helping their families. These parents provide supportive care to their
children and it a large emotional toll on the parents to watch their child die and know there is nothing
they can do about it. It also an emotional toll on other family members; and especially the siblings of
the child suffering from it. This is why I want to study this disease. I wouldn t get to help the child
with the condition but I would also get to help everyone in the

Battle Of Gettysburg Research Papers
The Battle of Gettysburg The Battle of Gettysburg has been known to many as the decisive turning
point of the Civil War. The battle itself was a Union victory that forced the Confederacy into a
defensive posture which ended General Lee s most ambitious attempt to invade Union Territory
(Gettysburg Foundation, 2017). The Battle of Gettysburg alone consisted of 67 Battery s in which
totaled 362 guns making it the largest artillery attack in United States history. This battle was a
historical landmark for the field artillery, as it established the field artillery as an effective firing
weapon system and paved the way for more accurate fires (Herhily, 1931).
The Battle of Gettysburg started on July 1, 1863 as a meeting engagement, after Robert E. Lee won

Analysis Of William Faulkner s A Rose For Emily
A Rose for Emily
William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily tells a story about the life of a woman who grows up in a small
southern town shortly after the turn of the 20th century. He tells the reader about the struggles that Ms.
Emily and town of Jefferson face in trying to move on from their past and adjusting to the inevitable
changes that time brings.
Hans H Skei writes in his critical essay that A Rose for Emily is the first story about Faulkner s
townspeople in any real sense, and it is the first story in which a community point of view through a
first person plural narrator (Skei). In reading Faulkner s story, the reader can see that when the narrator
uses we , that he is referring to the people of the town. By doing this, the reader gets a sense that even
though the title of the story has the main character s name in it, Faulkner considers the townspeople to
be just as important as Emily in A Rose for Emily . In the story Faulkner writes how both of these
characters struggle with the changes that occur throughout the passing years.
Managing change is difficult, but inevitable. Changes also affect people differently. While some
people thrive, others have a harder time in adjusting. While describing Ms. Emily s house, the narrator
tells the reader that cotton mills and warehouses are encroaching on her house. Ms. Emily s house is
described in the story as a style from some years past. In fact, her house was built in the 1870 s. What
once had been a residential area of the town, is now turning into a thriving industrial district. This
suggests to the reader that the town is progressing while Ms. Emily is stuck in the past. However, the
reader can see from the first part of the story that the people of the town have not been able to moved
on from their past either.
The story starts out at Ms. Emily s funeral. The narrator also tells the reader that for Ms. Emily s
funeral, everyone that lived in the town showed up. During the 1800 s and earlier, weddings and
funerals in southern towns were treated as events where everyone was included. But during the time
period of the story, weddings and funerals were only for close friends and family. Faulkner also writes

Pythagoras of Samos was born back in 570 BC (Before Christ) on the island of Samos, Greece. Little
did his parents, Mnesarchus and Pythias know that he would eventually be seen as the first pure
mathematician. Young Pythagoras was not the only child in his family, or only boy for that matter, it is
believed that he did have 2 or 3 brothers. Not much is known of his personal life at home along with
his family matters. Many people just have theories based on how he lived away from mathematics.
For example, some believe he was married and had a child that would eventually be a teacher, and
others believe he never married anyone and the lady he was believed to be married to was just his
student. Aside from his personal life at home, much is known about his life in education. (1) ... Show

Biomechanic Paper
A study conducted by Toshiki Kobayashi, Madeline L. Singer, Michael S. Orendurff, Fan Gao, Wayne
K. Daly, and K. Bo Foreman and published in the journal of Clinical Biomechanics aimed to describe
the relationship between the plantarflexion resistive moment of an articulated ankle foot orthosis
(AFO), a piece of corrective footwear, and the angles and moments of the ankle and knee while
walking, in order to better aid patients post stroke. The major driving force of the study is that many
patients who have suffered a stroke have resulting difficulties with mobility due to changes in their
gait and muscle strength. This study suggests that there can possibly be a better designed and more
personalized AFO to decrease unpleasant side effects of AFO use, such as pain and limited mobility.
The subjects of the study were ten people who had recently had a stroke, two were women and eight
were men. Additionally, these people had only one leg affected and were able to safely use all the
testing equipment. Each person was first subject to four tests for a clinical assessment to better

Copyright Law Should Encourage Creativity And Innovation...
Introduction Longer copyright terms can prove beneficial for large mass media companies as
evidenced by The Walt Disney Company s lobbying for the Copyright Term Extension Act. This act,
often dubbed the Mickey Mouse Protection Act, extended copyright protection for an additional
twenty years in 1998. Consequently, Mickey Mouse is now set to enter the public domain on January
1, 2024. Disney will once again have the opportunity to lobby for extension and evade Mickey s
copyright expiration, thus preventing its most iconic character from entering the public domain. This
holds pressing significance because lobbying for further extension legislation would likely occur
within the next few years. The duration of copyright determines the length of protection. Limitations
on this length exist to ensure works enter the public domain. Therefore, the length of protection is one
of the most relevant and debated issues regarding copyright law. The proponents and opponents of
copyright term extension make compelling arguments, but both sides agree that copyright law should
encourage creativity and innovation. If Disney is successful in once again lobbying for an extension of
duration, a substantial number of works will fail to enter the public domain in a timely manner. This
will, consequently, lead to a stifling of creativity and a suppression of innovation that could be
detrimental to progress in the realms of science and the useful arts.

Negative Impact Of Telecommunication
It is undoubted that telecommunication has played a significant role in our life. According to Hargrave
s Communications Dictionary, the term telecommunications is defined as Any transmission, emission,
or reception of symbols, signals, writing, images, sounds, or other intelligence of any nature by wire,
radio, optical, or other electromagnetic systems. (Hargave, 2001). It makes our life easier by allowing
us to be in touch with those we need to communicate, whether for workwise or personal purposes. The
significant development of telecommunication is not only benefiting people who live in the major
cities but also to those who live in the developing areas. The people in rural areas can obtain profit
from the communications. A London School of Economics professor, examined mobile phone
developmental effects and concluded that mobile telephone has a positive and significant impact on
economic growth, additionally he emphasized that the impact for the developing countries may be
twice as large as in the developed countries (Waverman, Meschi Fuss, 2005, p.21 cited by Overa,
2006). This condition is happened probably due to the people in the developed countries have been
benefited for a long time since they have been using mobile telephony from the 1990s, while in the
developing countries they have just recently benefited as a result of the booming of cell phone in the
2000s. Therefore, the impact on economic growth is bigger than in the developed countries. The above

My Dream Career
The rise in numbers for doctors are growing and many people don t understand all the aspect that it
takes to even be considered to become a doctor. The years of education that are required depend on
what someone would like to specialize in. Sadly though, college and medical school both cost a lot
and takes time away from planning further along. Although the path to this career is hard, but it allows
them to have an easy lifestyle. My dream career to become a physician for it requires motivation, high
level of education, and a stable mentality. These qualities are what I need to ensure I achieve the type
of lifestyle I hope to achieve by the end.
The lifestyle of a phyisican is very stable since the pay for the job is high, but it depends a lot on what
area someone wants to specialize in. In the Omaha, Nebraska, the annual base salary that the average
Physician in Neurology receives is between $200,419 $269,254. (Salary.com). The range is based on a
percentile of physicians in the area as the medium of pay is $229,324 (Salary.com). However, there
are many factors that affect the base salary like location and corporation minus all the benefits and

Population Health Care
Population health is the wave of the future. Darves says it s the latest health care catch phrase and it
has enormous implications (2015, p. 6). However, when communities, cities and town are healthy the
cost of that group s healthcare is reduced. This is the ultimate goal of Hinden s information and a
growing number of varied populations. However, the effort involved must be concerted for the
delivery model to succeed. The benefit of a concerted approach to population healthcare is that all care
providers (clinical and nonclinical) take the whole health of the patient into account because all care

The United States Should Be Indicted For Crimes Against...
Introduction In February 2014, a report was released by the Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights
in the Democratic People s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The report detailed a number of human rights
abuses that the country has allegedly committed. Because of the report a United Nations committee
has called for the Security Council to refer North Korea to the International Court (ICC) for
committing crimes against humanity. Using the report that the Commission issued as a guideline, I
will examine whether or not it is plausible to state that the United States of America should be indicted
for crimes against humanity as compared to the DPRK. Representatives of North Korea have stated
that the United States needs to accept the accusations of the broad international community. It seems
that North Korea thinks that the United States has committed crimes against humanity. Whether or not
there is validity in that statement, it is worth investigating and comparing. Crimes against humanity as
defined by the ICC any of the following acts that are committed in widespread or systematic attack
directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack: murder; extermination;
enslavement; deportation or forcible transport; imprisonment; torture, rape/sexual slavery, enforced
prostitution, forced pregnancy, enforced sterilization, or any other form of sexual violence of
comparable gravity; persecution against an identifiable group on political, racial, national, ethnic,

Displacement Reactions And The Single Displacement Reaction
Introduction
There are two types of displacement reactions : One type is called the single displacement reaction,
the other is called the double displacement reaction. During a single displacement reaction, an element
substitutes another element in a compound, creating a new element and a new compound as products.
In most single displacement reactions, either a metal replaces another metal, or a non metal replaces
another non metal. The more reactive element takes the place of the less reactive element in the
compound, otherwise the reaction will not occur. The general chemical equations of single
displacement can be: A (metal) + BC → AC + B,
A (non metal) + BC → BA + C. Double displacement reaction is a chemical reaction, where the
positive ions of two different chemical compounds exchange and produce two new compounds. The
products may contain a precipitate. The general chemical equation of double displacement is: AB+ CD
→ AD + CB
The purpose of the lab is to observe the reactants and the products of three chemical reactions and
determine which type of reaction occurs in each chemical reaction.
The solubility tables can be used to help better determine the reaction types. The solubility tables refer
to the solubility of ionic compounds in water. By using the solubility tables, we can know whether a
compound is soluble or insoluble.

Abstract
This essay will investigate the Austrian Energy Drink Company RedBull by analyzing the energy
drink market and determining where RedBull is positioned. I will further investigate and answer the
question: Should Red Bull continue with its marketing strategy in the United States to maintain its
market share in the rapidly growing energy drink market?
In this investigation I have used a SWOT ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fig.5 Red Bull US Sales Growth 2010 2013
The sales growth demonstrated above, however, is driven by higher consumer demand and
consumption of energy drinks as seen in Fig.2. Strong product awareness has been already established
in the United States and Red Bull has acquired an extensive and loyal consumer base over the past
years.
After analyzing the energy drink market, I came to the conclusion that Red Bull should try to decrease
its price in order to maintain the rising star position in the Boston Consulting Matrix in which it
currently is placed. New Product Development (NPD) is also crucial in order to compete in the
growing energy drink market in the United States.
Red Bull s Marketing Mix
Red Bull s marketing mix seems to harmonize based on its success. Especially the use of sponsorship
marketing was taken to the next level by the Red Bull marketing team. Today it is almost hard to think
of a sport that Red Bull does not sponsor. Their logo appears on motorbikes, wakeboards, snowboards,
formula1 cars, soccer jerseys and even high tech space suits designed for jumping from the edge of the
stratosphere. They even organize a quirky competition of homemade flying machines to support their
proposition Red Bull gives you

Piggy Lord Of The Flies Analysis
Rough Draft (not done)
In 1954, a war broke out in the adult world. Children were sent away on a plane that sadly crashed and
killed the pilot. The pilot was an adult and everyone else on board were children. Children were
stranded all over the island. Ralph was the first among the island that the Lord of the Flies mentioned.
Piggy, a short, fat, and smart boy was always slowed down by the creepers. Piggy has asthma and he
lived with his aunt who told him not to run because of his asthma. Piggy was seen as a weak boy, but
he gains confidence through all of the frustration, and he represents civilization, knowledge, and order.
Piggy holds onto what he has learned from the adult world and he goes against the savagery and
monster like behaviors. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Piggy was upset and wanted to go with Jack and Simon to figure out if they were on an island, but
Ralph told him he was not good for a job like that, and for him to stay behind to watch the littluns.
Piggy also stood up for a littlun when the littlun held out his hands for the conch to have permission to
speak. Piggy said, Let him have the conch! Let him have it (Golding p.35). As the littlun spoke, Piggy
interpreted that he saw a beastie, a snake like thing in the woods that came at night and blended in
with ropes hanging in the trees in the morning. This represented evil. Furthermore, the boys are more
interested in teasing Piggy, because of his disabilities than listening to his suggestions. Piggy s glasses
become an iconic object for his character. Glasses are associated with learning and reading; likewise

Case Study of Callaway Golf Company Essays
Case Study of Callaway Golf Company
Section I. Summary
Callaway Golf Company began to take form in 1983, after Ely Reeves Callaway Jr. sold Callaway
Vineyard and Winery for a $9 million dollar profit. Shortly after the sell of the winery, Callaway
ventured in to the golf equipment industry and bought 50 percent of Hickory Stick USA. Callaway
knew from the very beginning that this company s profits were limited as long as the product line
wasn t changing. Callaway noticed that most golf equipment had changed very little since the 1920s
and believed that , due to the difficulty of the game of golf, recreational golfers would be willing to
invest in high tech, premium priced clubs if such clubs could improve their game by being more ...

Helmstetter and his engineering team were very important to the execution of Callaway Golf s
competitive strategy. Callaway Golf Company consistently outspent its rivals in the industry on R D
which allowed it to continually beat its competitors to the market with new innovations. (P c210) In
1994, Callaway Golf opened the Helmstetter Test Center located a mile away from the main campus.
The Helmstetter Test Center had two primary uses; it provided an ideal place to custom fit clubs for
the touring pros who used Callaway equipment, and it allowed Callaway R D staff to test new
products in the developmental stage. The development of new products at Callaway Golf Company
not only included the research and development staff but also the sales and advertising staff. These
teams worked hand in hand together. When the R D would come up with a new product idea, the sales
and advertisement staff would look over this idea and recommend changes based on the current
market interests.
Callaway s customer service department was viewed as a critical component of the company s overall
level of differentiation. (p. c215) Even before handling any customer service inquiry, each customer
service representative received eight weeks of training since the entire customer service staff was
empowered to make a final decision regarding a consumer or retailer complaint or warranty claim. In

Ikea Management Style
Ikea has grown into a worldwide phenomenon with an almost like cult following and the world s
largest furniture retailer due in large part to its founder Ingvar Kamprad s charismatic personality
combined with his own philosophy of business management and the Scandinavian style of open
management he has parlayed a fortune that will be left to one of his children who has proven their own
business acumen by running one of his many companies profitably. According to Kamprad himself in
his July 23, 2008 Acticule published by stoked in Major Companies Kamprad states;

Founded on this and Kamprads own views Ikea has grown exponentially and sits as a world leader in
management. Scandinavian management were equality, communication, cooperation, trust and
consensual decision making are vital elements in the concept. Managers are focused on their
employees and feel that they need to satisfy them in order to motivate them. This motivation has
proven to lead to better productivity and performance of the organization. Swedish managers are
indeed focused on human resources and are practicing Scandinavian management. Scandinavian
management is necessary on the Swedish market as it increases the chances for having a productive
company with satisfied employees and customers.
Kamprad laid the foundation of his empire using his views on life. The IKEAN Spirit was founded on
enthusiasm, a constant will to renew, cost consciousness, willingness to assume responsibility, and
humbleness before the task. The organizational atmosphere was very informal, effort was made to
veer away from status and convention. Simplicity was practiced at all levels but managers were
expected to completely understand the store s operations. Having such a distinct corporate culture that
had to be imposed, IKEA favored young employees. They did not hire people who had previously

One of the key differences between the US health system and Cuba health system is that Cuba focuses
on preventing diseases rather than treating the diseases. And everyone will be having family physician
and nurses. For the Cuba health system there are no private hospitals, all hospitals and clinics are
controlled by the government and people are given access to the system without any cost. Every
patient are visited by the family physician at home once in a year, one with chronic disease will be
visited frequently. If it is necessary patients are referred for specialty evaluation, but after the
evaluation they will come back to the community team for ongoing treatment.
This prevention orientation structure has produced positive result for the Cuba. Vaccination rates in
Cuba is the highest in world. The infant mortality rate fallen from 80 per 1000 live births to 5 per
1000, lower than US.

What Does It Mean To Be Sorry
Growing up in a traditional Chinese family, I used to say I am sorry a lot. Sometimes I meant to
apologize, but most likely I wanted to avoid conflicts, even if I did nothing wrong. I never thought
about refusing to say the three words, until going to Wisconsin as an exchange student for a month.
How can you still have a Chinese book in your backpack since you are in America, and why don t you
feel sorry for stealing educational resources from our local kids? I cannot believe either that I am not
quoting a Donald Trump s tweet now; the question is in fact what the uncle of my host family in
Wisconsin threw at me. I was offended, but I could not make a rational and convincing argument,
since my English was not fluent enough. I felt helpless. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One time I was on a bus to Beverly Hill, and I was talking to a friend on phone in Chinese. Two
teenage girls at the back of the bus were imitating my pronunciation and laughing so hard, and I heard
them addressing me as chink. I was trying to wrap my head around, because I did not understand why
I was laughed at when I was just casually talking to a friend. I was mad at the girls, but then I started
to think it was because they did not interact with people from other countries much. If they grew up
hearing different languages, and making friends with people who have different habits, they would not
find me weird. Therefore, I decided to code switch to Mandarin in public places as much as I need to
show that it is not intruding to carve out a space for my culture, and it is not on my end to shut up, but
on the locals end to be respectful. I stay in common rooms and quads, to switch to Mandarin to talk to
Chinese friends on phone or in person. I pick up phone calls from my chinese parents and talk to them
in Mandarin while my boyfriend who speaks English and Hebrew is sitting next to me. I greet my
Chinese classmates in Mandarin before classes start. I switch from English to Mandarin not because I
love chinese culture so much

sociocultural perspectives.
Since the desire of immortality may cause economic problems for both people and countries, this idea
must be given up immediately. Currently, one of the global issues that governments are striving is that
the older generations become predominant numerically in the societies. Even though Japan, Australia
or Scandinavian countries are the most developed places in the world, the main obstacle in front of the
growth of these countries is the economic problems of having older populations ( Population
Challenges and Development Goals , 2005). As the number of older people increases, the economy is

  • 2. The Causes Of Forced Migration In The Country Of Population Forced migration is defined as, a general term that refers to the movements of refugees and internally displaced people (those displaced by conflicts within their country of origin) as well as people displaced by natural or environmental disasters, chemical or nuclear disasters, famine, or development projects (Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, n.d.). Since the 1940, this issue has risen steady and affects over a million individuals globally. In 2015, nine out of 1000 people were evacuated by force (Bozorgmehr Razum, 2017). Health problems can become abundant among forced migrants due to the vast amount of people dwelling within a small camp. Multiple diseases may begin to fester among the refuge location because many people may bring the foreign illness to the location. This may lead to new illnesses in a place that has not experienced that particular type of illness in that area. Because majority of forced migrants are in such crowded quarters, diseases can proliferate quickly throughout the population as a result of poor hygiene and sanitation. This leads to an increase in health care demand; however, due to the increased amount of people in the vicinity these types of services may be limited or unavailable to the individuals. A decrease or destruction of health care to forced migrates can eventually lead to and increase mortality rate (Skolnik, 2016). Language and cultural barriers may impact health care attainment for some individuals of forced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Kant Duty It begins with a presented value of intrinsic goods, through analysing the relationship between the good will and duty. He claims there is nothing that can be held be held to be good, without its limitations except good will itself. For example, an act of courage, can be an act of arrogance or carelessness unless the good will is there to correct their influence on the mind. Thereby it corrects the entire principle of action. Furthermore, the good will will is only good through its willing, therefore it does not need an end or purpose. It is higher than any will that is brought about by inclination and eventually the good will presents itself like a shining jewel. The aim of course is enjoying life and happiness, but reason is not best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Universal Law If duty really is a concept that contains legislation for our actions, then it has to be equal amongst all rational beings, If something is equal, it is universal. Kant argues the will must be commanded by the principle; one must be able to will that a maxim of our action should become a universal law. This principle is only accomplishable through the practice of reason free from any incentive or influence, something the hypothetical imperative cannot do. In practice, this means if genocide was a universal law, the human race would soon become extinct, thus it is not a practical principle. Whereas acting in accordance to prolonging and sustaining human lives is a universal law everybody should desire. Therefore, the good will is guided by rationale. ii. Humanity To expand on the first formulae, the good will is made objective by humanity. Like the categorical imperative, rational beings exist as an end in itself, they are directed toward themselves as well as other rational beings. Therefore rational beings should not treat themselves or others as a means. This is consistent with the examples mentioned by Kant such as the suicidal man treating himself as a means in order to escape from his condition, or the dishonest man abusing the trust of others through his false promises, abusing others as a means for their own financial ... A temperament test is a test to see how dogs react to certain situations which can be from threatening to non threatening. Unfortunately, though Pit bulls are often discriminated against and face wrongful stereotypes. Here I will be shining some light on these stereotypes and beliefs. First off, Pit bull is not one certain breed but a group of different breeds which includes the American Pit Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and lastly the Staffordshire Terrier. So let s stick to the American Pit Bull as it is the most popular amongst Pit bulls. But no matter which breed I choose the results don t change, no breed is a bad breed, there are only bad owners. In conclusion I feel like an efficient solution to the abuse of Pit bulls is to perform background checks on people trying to adopt vicious dogs. Introduction The aim of this essay is to summarise the relationship between the structure and culture on an organisation s performance and Pobl as a not for profit organisation. Pobl is a mental health charity founded on the idea of People helping People . It was established by David Bentley Miller, who had experienced a mental health illness and found that there was insufficient support, consequently, he started a charity with like minded people to aid those who were also affected. The charity also supports a food share scheme, Mental Health for Armed Forces, and Mental Health training courses for companies, which also financially supports the charity. The relationship between structure, culture, and people has a huge effect on an organisation s performance. It can boost employee s moral, help set the guidelines and ethics of a company and increase the efficiency of the company s workload. Organisation structure An organisation structure is a system in which the employees of an organisation are sorted to define job roles, responsibilities and to show them who they report to. There are many ways in which modern day businesses can structure themselves, it can depend on many factors; how large the business is, how many people it employs and what day to day business activities require. • 9. Analysis Of David Hanson s Carnage And Culture Essay Question2: In Carnage and Culture, Victor David Hanson expressed a slanted perspective about the crucial battles in western history in order to support his theory that western militaristic strategies are superior to alternative forms of warfare. He fostered his sentiments by explaining how specific battle tactics can unify or divide a nation in a matter of moments. However, his reference to the concept that western warriors continuously triumph in war, is expressed in a manner that does not fully evaluate both perspectives of the conflict. Hanson alluded to his message behind Carnage and Culture in his thesis: A sense of personal freedom, superior discipline, matchless weapons, egalitarian camaraderie, individual initiative, constant tactical adaptations, and flexibility, preference for shock battle of heavy infantry were themselves the murderous dividend of Hellenic culture at large ... Yet for the past 2,500 years even in the Dark Ages, well before the Military Revolution, and not simply as a result of the Renaissance, the European discovery of the Americas, or the Industrial Revolution there has been a peculiar practice of Western warfare, a common foundation and continual way of fighting, that has made Europeans the most deadly soldiers the history of civilizations. The stigma that physical educators bare has brought misunderstanding to parents and kids alike. The importance of health and even the education of basic motor skills has been substituted for standardized testing, and PE classes are further cut away in school budgets due to a lack of awareness. Studies have proven on multiple occasions that there is a very strong correlation between more physical education and higher test scores. Giving children the chance to release energy and have fun in a safe environment is extremely important in their future development. Analysis Of William Faulkner s A Rose For Emily A Rose for Emily William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily tells a story about the life of a woman who grows up in a small southern town shortly after the turn of the 20th century. He tells the reader about the struggles that Ms. Emily and town of Jefferson face in trying to move on from their past and adjusting to the inevitable changes that time brings. Changes also affect people differently. While some people thrive, others have a harder time in adjusting. While describing Ms. Emily s house, the narrator tells the reader that cotton mills and warehouses are encroaching on her house. Ms. Emily s house is described in the story as a style from some years past. In fact, her house was built in the 1870 s. What once had been a residential area of the town, is now turning into a thriving industrial district. This suggests to the reader that the town is progressing while Ms. Emily is stuck in the past. Bo Foreman and published in the journal of Clinical Biomechanics aimed to describe the relationship between the plantarflexion resistive moment of an articulated ankle foot orthosis (AFO), a piece of corrective footwear, and the angles and moments of the ankle and knee while walking, in order to better aid patients post stroke. The major driving force of the study is that many patients who have suffered a stroke have resulting difficulties with mobility due to changes in their gait and muscle strength. • 17. Copyright Law Should Encourage Creativity And Innovation... Introduction Longer copyright terms can prove beneficial for large mass media companies as evidenced by The Walt Disney Company s lobbying for the Copyright Term Extension Act. This act, often dubbed the Mickey Mouse Protection Act, extended copyright protection for an additional twenty years in 1998. Consequently, Mickey Mouse is now set to enter the public domain on January 1, 2024. Disney will once again have the opportunity to lobby for extension and evade Mickey s copyright expiration, thus preventing its most iconic character from entering the public domain. This holds pressing significance because lobbying for further extension legislation would likely occur within the next few years. The duration of copyright determines the length of protection. Limitations on this length exist to ensure works enter the public domain. Therefore, the length of protection is one of the most relevant and debated issues regarding copyright law. The proponents and opponents of copyright term extension make compelling arguments, but both sides agree that copyright law should encourage creativity and innovation. If Disney is successful in once again lobbying for an extension of duration, a substantial number of works will fail to enter the public domain in a timely manner. This will, consequently, lead to a stifling of creativity and a suppression of innovation that could be detrimental to progress in the realms of science and the useful arts. According to Hargrave s Communications Dictionary, the term telecommunications is defined as Any transmission, emission, or reception of symbols, signals, writing, images, sounds, or other intelligence of any nature by wire, radio, optical, or other electromagnetic systems. (Hargave, 2001). It makes our life easier by allowing us to be in touch with those we need to communicate, whether for workwise or personal purposes. The significant development of telecommunication is not only benefiting people who live in the major cities but also to those who live in the developing areas. The people in rural areas can obtain profit from the communications. A London School of Economics professor, examined mobile phone developmental effects and concluded that mobile telephone has a positive and significant impact on economic growth, additionally he emphasized that the impact for the developing countries may be twice as large as in the developed countries (Waverman, Meschi Fuss, 2005, p.21 cited by Overa, 2006). However, the effort involved must be concerted for the delivery model to succeed. The benefit of a concerted approach to population healthcare is that all care providers (clinical and nonclinical) take the whole health of the patient into account because all care providers now have a vested interest in the quality of care for which they are being collectively paid to provide. • 22. The United States Should Be Indicted For Crimes Against... Introduction In February 2014, a report was released by the Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in the Democratic People s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The report detailed a number of human rights abuses that the country has allegedly committed. Because of the report a United Nations committee has called for the Security Council to refer North Korea to the International Court (ICC) for committing crimes against humanity. Using the report that the Commission issued as a guideline, I will examine whether or not it is plausible to state that the United States of America should be indicted for crimes against humanity as compared to the DPRK. Representatives of North Korea have stated that the United States needs to accept the accusations of the broad international community. It seems that North Korea thinks that the United States has committed crimes against humanity. Whether or not there is validity in that statement, it is worth investigating and comparing. Crimes against humanity as defined by the ICC any of the following acts that are committed in widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack: murder; extermination; enslavement; deportation or forcible transport; imprisonment; torture, rape/sexual slavery, enforced prostitution, forced pregnancy, enforced sterilization, or any other form of sexual violence of comparable gravity; persecution against an identifiable group on political, racial, national, ethnic, ... • 23. Displacement Reactions And The Single Displacement Reaction Introduction There are two types of displacement reactions : One type is called the single displacement reaction, the other is called the double displacement reaction. During a single displacement reaction, an element substitutes another element in a compound, creating a new element and a new compound as products. In most single displacement reactions, either a metal replaces another metal, or a non metal replaces another non metal. The more reactive element takes the place of the less reactive element in the compound, otherwise the reaction will not occur. The general chemical equations of single displacement can be: A (metal) + BC → AC + B, A (non metal) + BC → BA + C. Double displacement reaction is a chemical reaction, where the positive ions of two different chemical compounds exchange and produce two new compounds. The products may contain a precipitate. The general chemical equation of double displacement is: AB+ CD → AD + CB The purpose of the lab is to observe the reactants and the products of three chemical reactions and determine which type of reaction occurs in each chemical reaction. The solubility tables can be used to help better determine the reaction types. The solubility tables refer to the solubility of ionic compounds in water. By using the solubility tables, we can know whether a compound is soluble or insoluble. After analyzing the energy drink market, I came to the conclusion that Red Bull should try to decrease its price in order to maintain the rising star position in the Boston Consulting Matrix in which it currently is placed. New Product Development (NPD) is also crucial in order to compete in the growing energy drink market in the United States.

Sometimes I meant to apologize, but most likely I wanted to avoid conflicts, even if I did nothing wrong. I never thought about refusing to say the three words, until going to Wisconsin as an exchange student for a month. How can you still have a Chinese book in your backpack since you are in America, and why don t you feel sorry for stealing educational resources from our local kids?
