coiling cobra somewhere around you (Hitchcock, 1954). Because we did not know who the
invader was and what weapon they could of had, we did not know if the bust would protect him.
This tension was executed slightly different in the movie. In the movie, we see the man walk up
the stairs, we are not aware of a weapon but once thorwald breaks in and starts to yell at jeff we
see that there is not gun. Jeff in this situation chooses to protect himself by using his camera flash

Purpose : To persuade my audience to change their perception on climate change.
Thesis : Climate change is a controversial topic that some believe to be fake. Studies show that
climate change is a real danger going on around us. These studies uncover what the future holds for
humanity. As humans it is our moral duty to do what is right by earth, that has been our home for
millions of years.
