The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the mid Ming Dynasty to
the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now houses
the Palace Museum. It was built from 1406 to 1420 by the third Ming emperor
Yongle, who upon usurping the throne, determined to move his capital north from
Nanjing to Beijing. In 1911 the Qing dynasty fell to the republican revolutionaries.
The last emperor, PuyiжєҐе„Ђ, continued to live in the palace after his abdication

Abstract
The lab group conducted three separate experiments to test the effect of ultraviolet
radiation on the survival of yeast cells. These experiments are significant because
ultraviolet radiation can damage the DNA of human skin cells and eventually lead
to skin cancer. The yeast cells were prepared and then exposed to UV for various
increments of time. The first experiment was a comparison of a wild type strain
versus an unknown type. The hypothesis was that if the unknown yeast has better
adapted to ultraviolet radiation, more unknown cells would survive. The wild type
strain survived substantially more than the unknown. The second experiment
introduced protections. The group covered the yeast samples with a thick black film
or a sample of distilled water. More cells under the black film outlasted the cells
under the distilled water. The third experiment covered the samples with a thinner,
red film or a general sunscreen with SPF 70. More cells covered by the sunscreen
lived than those under the red film.

affect the patient s ability to manage and maintain their health. Keeping the lines of
communication open with our patients involves assuring that they are kept abreast of

measures to maintain their health. As nurses we are accountable to our patients and
need to stay current with our own education and commit to lifelong learning (Fights,
2012) to be sure we are passing on up to date and relevant information. Acquiring

Bram Stoker in Dracula imagines a proper women by demonizing Lucy ascribing to

Like many action movie fans growing up in the last decade or so, I m a fan of the
Bourne franchise. I don t love it as much as some people, though The Bourne
Ultimatum is great, but I was still excited by the prospect of Paul Greengrass and
Matt Damon reteaming for another entry in the series. (Especially after the
underwhelming The Bourne Legacy. ) While I did like the director and actor combo
s return to the series, it was easily my least favorite entry besides that 2012
disappointment.
This time around, Jason Bourne (Damon) has been off the grid for years. He s
making ends meet by doing some street fighting that s taking its toll on him. He gets

The issue here is twofold. First, the writing never convinces audiences that Bourne s
motivations are legitimate. I, nor the friends I saw it with, never bought that Bourne
would return to this world for the reason he did. He already knows what happened to
him, and though his reason is plausible, it s something that pales in comparison to
what he already knows and the benefits of staying in hiding. Thus, the whole
narrative is built on a faulty foundation.
The second problem is the movie is too generic, especially for a franchise that, in its
original trilogy, eschewed convention. The film follows a lot of the same beats, with
the diabolical government higher up and Bourne s inevitable confrontation with him
feeling stale. Even the action scenes feel recycled in a way, as its more of Bourne
moving through crowds effectively. Even the best set piece in the film, the Athens
scene, suffers from this, as Bourne driving around on the stairs feels too much like a
similar moment from The Bourne Identity.
Despite all these flaws, I still had a good time with Jason Bourne. Damon owns the
role, the supporting cast gets the job done and the score is good (I can t overstate
how awesome that music at the end is). Due to the terrible directing and troubled
script, Jason Bourne isn t as polished on entertaining as its Damon led predecessors,
but it s still an enjoyable action

Although some may presume the novel Dune as confusing archaic misfit for a
science fiction novel, these romantic critics are often too dogmatic in their provincial
ideologies. Several warnings are presented throughout the course of the novel on
ancient dangers such as the greed of mercantile corporations, the intertwined
complications of religion and politics, conflicts of feudalism, and most prominently
ecological fragility.
