Describe How The Sporophyte Stages Of A Plant Life Cycle...
Chapter29
1.Describe how the sporophyte and gametophyte stages of a plant life cycle differ.
The life cycles of all land plants alternate between two generations of distinct multicellular
organisms which are gametophytes and sporophytes. Each generation give rise to the other
otherwise known as alternation of generations which is when the life cycle includes both
multicellular haploid organisms and multicellular diploid organisms. Gametophyte is a gamete
producing, multicellular haploid (1n). It is named for its production by mitosis of haploid gametes
such as egg and sperm, that fuse during fertilization, forming diploid zygotes. This mitotic division
of the zygote produces a multicellular diploid sporophyte, which is a spore producing plant. Nature
sporophyte produces haploid spores, which are reproductive cells that can develope into a new
haploid organism without fusing with another cell. Mitotic division of the spore cell produces a
new multicellular gametophyte, and the cycle begins again.
2.Explain why most bryophytes grow close to the ground.
Bryophytes are nonvascular plants that are seedless, and do not form a monophyletic group (a
clade). There favorable habitat is in moist soil and or tree bark which allows them to germinate and
grow into gametophytes. They generally form into ground hugging carpet, because of the
bryophytes lack of vascular tissue which is needed to transport water and nutrients in long
distances. The thin structure allows bryophyte organs to

National And State Assembly Elections In Nepal
We have seen nothing like this in Nepal in the past. I am talking about the upcoming national and
state assembly elections. These elections might make or break democracy.
The make part is easy to figure out. The elections will officially end the long political transition,
convert the country de facto from a unitary state to federal, and mark the endorsement of the
Constitution 2015 by the Madheshi parties.
The Madheshi parties had refused to endorse the new constitution until their demands were met.
They had asked for one state, and not more than two states, covering all 22 districts in the plains,
but the major did not agree. So only 8 districts have been included in the Madheshi only State 2
(the states are yet to be named). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At stake are 275 seats in the federal parliament, 165 to be elected by the first past the post method
and the rest from proportional representation. The number of State Assembly members will be
twice as many in the same ratio. Which alliance enjoys the better prospects?
In the 2013 general elections and recent local elections, the left parties were able to win nearly 60
percent seats up for the contest. If that ratio holds, the left alliance will likely be a clear winner in
the upcoming national and state elections. However, the rebel candidates against the alliance
candidates on both sides might not let the outcome to so straightforward.
Whatever the outcome, the emergence of the left and the non left alliance is a good step in the
right direction. If these alliances outlast the elections, it could be the beginning of a two party state,
like in the United States and the United Kingdom, which will contribute to political stability and
offer a clear choice for voters.
But if the two alliances fail to become competitive, the break part will likely ensue, harming
democracy and the country. Democratic elections make government representative and check it if it
does not deliver or misbehaves. But they also create autocratic leaders on both left and right.
For example, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were members of socialist

The History Of The World Wide Web
The history of the World Wide Web was created on August 6th, 1991 by Tim Berners Lee.
(Bryant, 2012). Due to the creation of the World Wide Web, many things have changed. Websites
have made everything either easier or more complicated. But, we will talk about the easier this
world has gotten. Some websites that have made life easier are Facebook, Strayer University,
Amazon, EBay, Google, Gmail, Yahoo, PayPal, Walmart, Schwan s, Myspace
, Pogo, Trip Advisor,
and Home Chef. These are just to name a few of the websites that have made our lives easier.
I could not agree more, that technology is like the Devil to many households making parents
divorce due to lack of person to person communication, and it makes partners want to have
infidelities in their relationships. But, nonetheless, websites like the ones I listed above are to make
our lives easier.
We will start with Social Networking sites. Social Networking sites, like Facebook, and
Myspace, are to bring people closer to each other from distances away. I have known of many
relatives finding each other after many years of not knowing each other, due to adoption and
other circumstances. They always help connect business to the users. You will always see ads
on the sides of Facebook while playing a game, if it is not full screen, of business that you might
like. Social Networking can be the cause of distraction with family as well. There was a report of a
lady playing Farmville, a very popular game on Facebook and it used to

Excellence poured roughly 25% of the store s budget into IT, including a wireless network to
link every item to an Oracle inventory database in real time using radio frequency identification
(RFID) tags on the clothes. The staff would roam the floor armed with PDAs to check whether
items were in stock, and customers could do the same through touch screens in the dressing
rooms. Each store manager was an experienced retailer and was given responsibility for their
overall exicenter implementation, including the building and IT systems. The store managers were
supported by the architects and builders and by their in house IT staff, for whom the exicenter
project was a new and exciting opportunity. Although it proved difficult to integrate the different
components of the project and the IT testing schedule was minimised to meet a revised schedule,
the project was eventually finalised. But most of the flashy technology today sits idle, abandoned
by employees who never quite embraced computing chic and who are now too overwhelmed by
large crowds to assist shoppers with handhelds. On top of that, many gadgets, such as automated
dressing room doors and touch screens, are either malfunctioning or ignored. Packed with
experimental technology, the clear glass dressing room doors were designed to open and close
automatically at the tap of a foot pedal, then turn opaque when a second pedal sent an electric

Since the use of a dictionary has been associated with...
Since the use of a dictionary has been associated with negative views among teachers and educators,
there is relatively little body of researches in regard to its impact on L2 acquisition. Many teachers
argue that the use of the dictionary while reading may divert students attention to an individual
word instead of understanding the text as a whole; thus, hinder the comprehension process (knight,
1994).
The top communicative approach that advocates implicit vocabulary learning was dominant in the
1970s and 1980s which led many educators to discourage the frequent use of dictionary and pay
more attention to guessing word meaning from context (Sökmen, 1997). However, there are many
limitations to employ merely the guessing strategy. As... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important to have a look at the information provided by a typical dictionary in order to
recognize the potential effectiveness of dictionaries in enhancing vocabulary acquisition. In most
dictionaries, a typical word entry includes: meaning, grammar, usage, history, status, synonym,
discrimination, application of derivative affixes, details of the parts of speech, indications of style
and register, pronunciation, the origin of the word, labels to indicate the field in which the word is
commonly used, gender of words, verb conjugations, common expressions, idioms and
abbreviations. Marckwardt (1973) believes that the information supplied by dictionaries about the
language can not be found elsewhere. Taking into consideration the valuable information supplied
by dictionaries, the significant role of the dictionary in developing the process of learning
vocabulary can not be denied. In recent years, dictionary use has relatively become a topic of
research interest. For example, Summers (1988) reported the results of three experiments done on
the effectiveness of the use of the dictionary in reading comprehension and vocabulary learning.
The first two experiments focused on reading comprehension and found that comprehension was

The Rhodes Must Fall Movement
This essay will attempt to give a response of the Rhodes Must Fall writings. It is clear that the
rising of movements like Rhodes Must Fall, has been a result of a wave of philosophies of Fanon
and Biko who share a highly similar pedigree in their interests in the philosophical psychology of
consciousness and desire for a decolonising of the mind (). Their ideologies have the interest of
young South Africans. The essay will be done by looking into how the movement wants the
university to be decolonised, the statue of Rhodes, alienation the students are experiencing,
curriculum change, the university s lack of cultural space and representation of blacks, racism in
the university and social/systematic exclusion of black students. In order to understand what the
movement wants to achieve, it is relevant to provide a background of its insurgence. The Rhodes
Must Fall Movement is a collective movement of students and staff members mobilizing for direct
action against the reality of institutional racism at the University of Cape Town (The Johannesburg
Salon, 2015:6) .The movement aims to advance black students interests by ending the oppression
they experience in the university and achieving equality. It is a shame that the University of Cape
Town, just like other parts of the South African society still retain a colonial character. The Rhodes

Artemis Morley Essay
Last April (2016) when I made my inaugural trip to the Artemis Film Festival, I came in contact
with the works of a filmmaker that greatly intrigued me Jill Morley. Although I didn t meet her
nor screen her work at the festival, I have discovered that if Artemis promotes a filmmaker, it is
worth my while to investigate the person. And that is exactly what I did. A few months back, Jill
and I had the opportunity to chat, and in spite of her busy schedule, we briefly discussed her work
within the indie filmcommunity, her various films and projects, and her in progress works and
future aspirations.

actually girly, though a lot of people don t think that she s like that when they think of her. I
reached out to her and did this small piece on her with Vice. I was very proud of our work.
So between your two films Confessions of a Go Go Girl and Fight Like a Girl, which one seemed
to have the best reception do you think?
It s hard to say. It s been so long between the films. The first film got into more festivals, and we

like Fight Like a Girl has reached its full potential. When we do play at festivals or even at women s

Challenges Of Indian Students Face On Campus
Indians students in US facing cultural disconnect on campus
Indians love to boast about the cultural diversity of their land, but it is not until they arrive at a US
university that they encounter the real thing. All said and done, some things are the same wherever
you go in India, and there are not that many surprises. But new Indian students who arrive in the US
are never quite prepared for the cultural tidal wave that await them on campus.
However, most of them overcome the culture shock eventually and come to love their campus lives,
so much so that they suffer a reverse culture shock when they visit home. The initial months of
adjustment are the most difficult for Indian students. Here we discuss some problem areas and how
students find solutions.
Communication
The main difficulty that Indian students face on campus is how to interact with other international
and American students and teachers. A large majority of Indian students, even some of those who
have graduated in the English medium from reputed schools in big cities in India, not to speak of
small towns, struggle to converse with other students, particularly Americans. They are unable to
understand popular American expressions, including idioms ( I ll take a rain check, you re on the
ball, I m still finding my feet, etc.), words/phrases ( downtown, okra, check, etc.), and spellings (
caliber, program, traveling, etc.).
American pronunciation also confuses Indians ( semai for semi, skedule

albumin, and 5.15 g of milk casein. Activity assay for invertase was performed using Benedict s
test and the enzymes inverting action on sucrose was confirmed. Warburg Christian Method and
Bradford Assay were also employed to determine the protein concentration in the albumin and the
casein samples. The concentrations for the albumin and casein samples were found to be 0.519

As a result, the interactions between protein molecules exceed protein water interactions, and the
solubility decreases. Moreover, the differences in the amino acid sequence makes proteins differ
in their salting in and salting out behavior. This is the basis for the fractional precipitation of
proteins by means of salt. Most commonly used salt is ammonium sulfate because it is available
in highly purified form and because of its high solubility. (Boyer, 2000) Proteins can also be
fractionally precipitated by adjusting the pH, temperature and dielectric constant. Variations in pH
also change the state of ionization of the functional groups, and hence, the net charge of the
protein. Usually, the protein s solubility is at its least at the isoelectric point pI and increases on
either side of the pI. At the pI, the net charge of the protein is zero and the protein molecules do
not repel each other. As a result, protein protein interactions are increased and the solubility is at its
lowest. (Boyer, 2000) Meanwhile, if temperature is increased denatures the proteins. Proteins then
unfold and the non polar groups which were previously in the interior of the molecule become
exposed. This leads to a decrease in the solubility of the protein in aqueous environment. Addition of
ethanol, methanol, acetone and the like decreases the dielectric constant and thus decreases protein
s solubility. (Boyer, 2000) The

The Odd One Out
On the most famous street in Boston, Newbury, there lays two architectural opposites just across
from one another. The Church of the Covenants a great historical church built in a gothic
architectural style where you would see historians, tour guides or school field trips and a Victoria
Secret store that covers an entire block and is build on the bases of modern architecture where
friends and family would go shopping or for a day out. Why would there be such ancient
architecture at a modern vibrant shopping district such a Newbury? The Church of the Covenants
was built in 1867 and the decision to surround such a historic artifact with a shopping district was
done purposefully. The Church when seen seems very out of place in a street such as Newbury,
however, the two polar opposite architectural masterpieces reflect the diversity of Newbury Street,
and as to why it is referred to the time square of Boston. The different architecture invites different
types of people to such a vibrant street making it not only a tourist attraction but also a street where
people from all different demographics come.
The presence of the Convent Church cannot be ignored by anyone when they walk on Newbury
Street. I found it to be very interesting how nothing near the church was taller than it. The
architecture of the street made it so that the all the surrounding shops will be lower and if you

The Scientific Theory Of Science And Technology
Science and technology is important to society and is often used in our everyday lives. We often
have no idea how science and technology really affect us. We work and live in a world driven by
technology and science. Science is crucial because it has helped form the world that we live in
today. Charles Robert Darwin was an English geologist and naturalist, best known for his significant
addition to the science of evolution. He had a theory that all species have inherited traits over time
from common ancestors, and in a partnership with Alfred Russel Wallace introduced his scientific
theory that this pattern of evolution resulted from an action that he called natural selection, in which
the struggle for existence has a similar effect to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of the trip was to take a five year survey trip around the world Commanded by
Captain Robert FitzRoy. The voyage would prove the opportunity of a lifetime for the Charles
Robert Darwin.
The HMS Beagle set out on its voyage far and wide with Darwin on board on December 27, 1813.
Over the course of the excursion, Darwin recovered an assortment of characteristic examples,
including fossils, birds, and plants. Through extreme research, he had an exceptional opportunity to
watch the standards of topography, zoology, and natural science nearly. South America, The
Galapagos Archipelago, and The Pacific Island were of sure enthusiasm to Darwin. Charles Darwin
started to review his discoveries in the Diary of Examines, distributed as a component of Chief
FitzRoy s bigger report and later altered into the Zoology of the Voyage of the Beagle, once
Darwin came back to Britain in 1836. The voyage enormously affected Darwin s perspective of
common history. He started to grow a significant hypothesis about the start of living creatures that
was inverse to the famous perspective of different naturalists at once.
Darwin s involvement with examples across the world brought up vital issues. Different
researchers trusted that all species either appeared toward the beginning of the world, or were made
after some time in natural history. In either case, the species were accepted to stay much the same
all through time. Darwin, saw similitudes among species

Also they can have a wide array of choices since they do not have to keep large quantities of all

some idea into the catering service that they may have, or have seen some other place. This will
show that they are interested in the needs of the customer as well as offering them goods and
services for profit. This ultimately could be a way of marketing research that helps the company

sure that their prices stay competitive to other catering services in the area. They can offer
services that may result in a higher fee; for example it will cost more to have the meal prepared
by a celebrity chef. They should be flexible with the costs offering different meals at different
costs to the customer. It cannot be stressed enough that Kudler needs to focus on staying
competitive since this is a new service that will be added and they do not have the reputation of
some other catering companies in the area. Kudler also needs to decide if they will start off as a
small caterer only doing small parties or will they do banquets and weddings. The difference in the
location is the staffing that they will have to offer at the events as well as the staffing it

Exploring the Schema Theory of Learning Essay
Theories of Learning
Schema Theory
Overview: Schema Theory is part of the cognitive theories of learning module and deals with how
the brain processes new knowledge (Chalmers, 2003). Schemata are packets of prior knowledge
that have been stored in a learner s memory. Each learner has developed schemata that are based on
prior experience and knowledge. Learners seek to connect new information with prior knowledge
and use generalizations to assist in organization of information. Schema Theory is focused on
conceptual learning and states that knowledge seeks organization in order to develop meaning
(Anderson, 1984).
Contributors: Major contributors to Schema Theory include Frederic Bartlett, Jean Piaget, Richard
C. Anderson, Marvin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This meaning is interrelated to prior knowledge and/or experience. Without a schema to which an
event can be assimilated, learning is slow and uncertain (Anderson, 1984, pg. 5). Knowledge that
does is not easily connected with previous schemata may undergo a form of schema evolution or
be discarded (Rumelhart Norman, 1980). Thus, development of new schemata or expanding of
existing schemata relies heavily on a learner s prior knowledge.
Application: Schema Theory s application in the learning environment can be seen in a variety of
ways in the learning environment. Schema Theory relies heavily on building connections to prior
learning. Therefore, it is crucial to employ teaching to expand learner s general knowledge and
concepts in order to provide a base for schematic connections. Teachers can be seen reminding
students of what they already know in order to build on previous knowledge and help make
connections to new ideas. However, teachers must understand that not all learner s schemata are the
same. A method of instruction that has its roots in Schema Theory and is often used in learning
environments is concept mapping. Concept mapping allows students to build on their previous
knowledge by connecting a cluster of concepts to a memory that is already encoded. Another way
teachers often tap into schemata theory is by focusing on skill based learning rather than rote
memorization. By

Randolph Hearst Case Study
Part B: i) Describe the rise to prominence of William Randolph Hearst
William Randolph Hearst was an influential figure in the late 19th and early 20th century through
his domination of the American media for almost half a century. Through his use of sensationalistic
and yellow journalism, Hearst successfully built his news corporation, Hearst Communications,
which at its height of prevalence owned over 30 American newspapers, 18 magazines and several

William Randolph Hearst s privileged upper class upbringing was a significant influence and

that it would reform his delinquent behaviours. The social problems of the Gilded Age (1870s
1900) created a social dynamic in the American public which Hearst was able to successfully
build his newspaper the San Francisco Examiner into the most widely read newspaper in San
Francisco. He adopted a sensational brand of reporting, which later was referred to as yellow

circumstances. A moment of gratification cannot be seen as something desirable if the same task
is to be repeated. However, Camus believes otherwise. the purpose is achieved... and Sisyphus
watches the stone rush down in a few moments toward lower world whence he will have to push it
up again toward the summit. He goes back down to the plain. (4) The significance of Sisyphus
going down the mountain to repeat his task is explained by Camus. Through accepting the
meaningless task, Sisyphus also accepts his unfair fate. He is calm and at peace with himself
despite the absurdity of his punishment. It could be understood that although the task may be
meaningless, Sisyphus is able accept his fate and continue to move... Show more content on

A virtue is a state of character that sits on the mean between excess and deficiency. He believes
happiness is about having balance in life. The extremes of states of characters are called vices.
Vices are states of character that a person would usually not be proud of, like greed or envy.
However, having vices is not improbable. Aristotle said, For moral excellence is concerned with
pleasures and pains; it is on account of the pleasure that we do bad things and on account of the
pain that we abstain from noble ones (3). People will often fray into their vices to obtain monetary
happiness. Although Aristotle believes being virtuous is what is needed to be sustainably happy,

How Did The Enlightenment Influence Today
The Age of Reason came after the baroque age, when the people started the believe knowledge lead
to power. The new idea that knowledge was the key to success, along with other new ideas started a
movement called the Enlightenment. All of the new ways of thinking that started the
Enlightenment are the base for the ideas we have today. The Enlightenment took place during the
time America was part of the British colonies and the French were having a Revolution. New
religions were also produced from the Age of Reason and influence the United States of America

The King had trouble keeping power, even with his horrible threats the people wanted power and
the Enlightenment made it possible for them to have power. The young King was one of the
many problems in France. The Kings immaturity influenced his reign, he let his lovers decide
what was best for the country instead of making the decision himself. Salons were made to have
dinner at while conversing with respected individuals. Women who opinion usually did not matter
was more respected in the salons as they were run by women. France had a crippling government
and other countries wanted to take advantage of them, forcing them into The Seven Years War.
The colonies in North America were taken by the British, so when the colonies fought for
freedom in the American Revolutionary War, France aided the colonies. France had a Revolution
after the country became finically unstable from it efforts in the American Revolution. The
Revolution was led by the middle, and lower working class. The working class had them most
success when they murdered the King and restored Christianity. The French Revolution was
different than the American because they gave the right to vote the all males of all races. Great
Britain was the ideal place for Philosophers to thrive because it was more stable than France. Great
Britain also had a young and inexperienced King and one allowed parliament the power to rule the

Why Nations Fail By Daron Acemoglu And James A. Robinson
Why Nations Fail by Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson explains the different and unique
origins of power, prosperity, and poverty for certain nations. The preface of Why Nations Fail
foreshadows what is next to come by explaining that key historical events in life can make or break
a country s success and future. Next, each chapter dives into these key historical events, known as
case studies, and analyses that chapter s nation(s) and why the nation is either poverty stricken or
prosperous. This is known as the book s methodology. The authors give examples such as with
inclusive and extractive institutions to argue against theories that suggest why nations are poor that
are not correct such as the geography hypothesis, culture hypothesis, and ignorance hypothesis. This
book argues that nations have and will continue to fail politically and economically if they
implement extractive institutions instead of inclusive institutions. The gap in literature between the
authors of Why Nations Fail and other authors of works of non fiction that describe why nations fail
is the nature of specific institutions. These institutions are inclusive economic institutions, inclusive
political institutions, extractive economic institutions, and extractive political institutions. These
different institutions are the main focus of the book. The authors go on in detail as to why these
institutions are so key to understanding how a nation became to poverty stricken or rich. The
authors of Why Nations Fail particularly dislike and articulate why hypothesis such as the
geography, ignorance and culture hypothesis are not sufficient evidence for why a nation was and
still continue to be poor to this day. These hypotheses can be known as the fallacious hypotheses.
The first fallacious hypothesis is the geography hypothesis. The geography hypothesis states that
the differences between countries and their economic success is due their geography and where
they are located. For example, the French philosopher Montesquieu believed that tropical climates
were less prosperous than temperate climates because the soil is not the most productive and the
tropical climatemade the inhabitants lazy, and therefore making them work less and

The Realization Of Lily In The Wild, By Edith Wharton
Lily was raised to believe that marriage was her reason for existence, she was simply business
transaction. The men sit back and wait for a girl to marry, whereas I have to calculate and
contrive, and retreat and advance, as if I were going through and intricate dance, where one
misstep would throw me hopelessly out of time (Wharton 38). Yet Wharton establishes that Lily
would not merely marry a man just for his money, She leaned forward, holding the tip of her

realised it, but it was too late, I have kept her with me all this time, but now we are going to part,
and I have brought her back to you I am going to leave her here. When I go out presently she will
not go with me. I shall like to think that she has stayed with you and she ll be no trouble. she ll

her to truly take pleasure from Selden. She leaves the real Lily Bart in Selden s care, so she

Essay on Uptian Sinclair And Socialism
Upton Sinclair and Socialism
Socialism has always been hard for me to understand. I never really grasped the concept of it
until I read the book The Jungle and began to research for this paper. Before I begin I would like
to go through a condensed version of the history of Socialism. It was founded in 1901 in
Indianapolis, Indiana. Two groups came together to form the Socialists, the Social Democratic
Party and the Kangaroo wing of the older Socialist Labor Party. These parties contained mostly
immigrant workers from big cities (Jurgis from The Jungle was one such fictional worker). The
new party expanded and included every type of extremist. They stood on the motto of reform vs.
revolution and focused ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1960 the book The Other America was published by
Michael Harrington. This book took great favor within the Socialist
Party. The left wing Socialists were beginning to die out and in 1968 the right wing Socialists held
the majority of the members. Over the next years many splits, divisions and merging occurred
under the control of the right wing Socialists and in 1982 the party was renamed the Democratic
Socialists of America. The only state to have a
Socialist ballot is the Socialist Party of Oregon, which formed in 1994.
This is how it remains today.
In the beginning I read Upton Sinclair s novel The Jungle in order to gain entrance into the
Advanced Placement English class. The things I learned about Socialism, the meat packing industry
and
Sinclair s own views lead me to discover a new era of writers I didn t know existed. These
writers brought to the attention of the nation problems that were carefully shielded from the
public s eyes. Many of these authors such as Upton Sinclair, Jack London, Ida Tarbell and many
others took a particularly Socialistic view and this was expressed in their writing. A few of the
books that Sinclair wrote had an especially socialistic tone, such as The Jungle which was
published in 1906. Conflictive to most people s beliefs The Jungle was not written to reform the
meat packing industry and incite pure food acts.
He stated, I aimed at the public s heart, and by accident I hit it in the

Texas Christian University is a private institution located in one of the nation s largest metroplexes.
Like many other privately funded universities, it has succumbed to one of the most concerning
issues for millennials and their parents today: increasing tuition annually leading to the overall
problem of student debtsweeping the country. Since 2010, tuition has increased by $12,580 for
TCU students, creating an increasingly large burden for students who value a small knit community

Tuition rose by 4.8 percent, increasing it from $40,680 to $42,580 per year without room and
board (Watson). This tuition increase may seem like a small amount in the grand scheme of
things; however, for many students that is monstrous jump in price. For many students, that rise in
tuition may be the deciding factor between returning to TCU or transferring to a university with a
smaller impact on their wallets. While the tuition increase is a turnoff for current students at TCU,
it has not proven to affect retention rate, which is 91 percent. (TCU Financial Aid). Although
TCU has a good retention rate, it is coming from a specific group of people, with 77 percent of
our student body being white and from the upper middle class who are able to afford the tuition of
a private university. This has a negative effect on the diversity at TCU, culturally and racially,
which could be considered a turnoff to some potential students. We also have a large amount of
students choosing to transfer in as juniors to and pay for two years instead of four. What TCU
should be most worried about is the effect a varying tuition may have on a prospective student,
rather than the current students. Chancellor Boschini and the people working at the Financial Aid
office have the power to fix the issue regarding tuition and to make TCU students and their families
happier with their choice. If they listen and start the ball rolling, then other departments, such a
Fraternity Life or Student Government can reevaluate the financial burden they put on students as

the other tests. Lending Test In assessing a bank s lending activities, the Regulatory Agencies
review the following information: Lending activity: The number and dollar amount of home
mortgage, small business, and small farm loans in the bank s assessment area(s). The general
standard is that 80% in number and dollar amount of a bank s loans should be in its assessment

the number is less than that, the bank has probably been too restrictive in defining its assessment

Breast Cancer And Cancer Prevention
INTRODUCTION
Statistics indicate that breast cancer related complications are among the top causes of death
among women for over 23% of all women s deaths in the world (Donepudi et al., 2014). The great
cases of breast cancer are attributed to lack of information on and hard data on the disease,
especially on early diagnosis and treatment options. In America, breast cancer is among the top
causes of cancer related deaths, and the mortality rate is relatively high as compared to the
neighboring countries in the Americas (Lucian, 2013). Several organizations have been formed to
help in the efforts of reducing the high levels of breast cancer in the United States and fighting the
cancer epidemic. Among the top organizations in the forefront against the disease is the Breast
Cancer Action. The Breast Cancer Action is an organization whose primary goal is to provide the
public especially women with information regarding Breast cancer. The organization has embraced
several strategies that include educational and political strategies to fight the breast cancer
pandemic. The organization was founded 1990 by Elenore Pred, who was the founding president
and two of her friends Susan Claymon, and Linda Reyes. It is headquartered in San Francisco. The
Breast Cancer Action has earned a reputation for its approach to tackling breast cancer crisis, which
is based fighting cancer as a public health emergency, and not an individual crisis. Among the

Does the Current Electoral Process Result in the best Candidate for President?
History informs us about the first method the parties developed in order to pick their presidential
candidates. This method was the congressional caucus. The framer s method in 1787 was that
each elector would cast two electoral votes, each for a different person for president. The person
who received the majority of the electoral votes would win the presidential election and the person
who received the second most amount of electoral votes won the vice presidential election.
However, the rise of political parties and the election of 1800 made a great change to the system.

All together, there are 538 Electoral votes. In December after the election, the electors cast their

office and are inaugurated two weeks later, on January 20th. Returning to the main question, I don
t believe the electoral process results in the best candidates for President. I believe the choice
should not be left for the electoral college but for each person s vote to count. One alternative is
the popular vote where everyone s vote would count for one vote. I don t think it is fair to try to
convince people that they have a voice and encourage them to vote, when the Electoral College
has the final say. The Electoral College leads to things like there being massive amounts of
campaigning being down in battleground states like Ohio and Florida while people in solidly red
or solidly blue states have their issues basically ignored because it s almost certain which way the
state is going to go.

Fashion in the 1920 s Essay
Fashion in the 1920 s
The Roaring Twenties brought many fads and fashion rages. During the 1920 s, Americans were
given the honor of being called the best dressed . Several things contributed to this honor:
Affordable pricing, mass production clothing, the birth of the flapper girl , and rise of fashionable
movie stars that Americans wanted to imitate.
The style and cut of women s clothing during the 1920 s changed drastically. Waistlines dropped
dramatically while hemlines rose scandalously. Turned down hose were no longer black, but beige.
Rouged knees, bobbed hair, and figureless figures characterized the radical flappers . These women
violated many of the rules dictating appropriate clothing and behavior for women. The ... Show

The flapper girl trend peaked in 1926, leaving materials such as silk, chiffons, georgettes, crepes,
and voiles in high demand. Beads, sequins, and feathers also adorned the fashionable dresses.
Coco Chanel, a role model for the flapper, provided many styles, including the popular single
strand of pearls. Corsets were no longer popular, but instead the sexless figure was favored. Scarfs
were often draped over the shoulders if one could not afford a dead fox neck piece. However, the
one thing that distinguished the flapper from anyone else was the bobbed haircut. Although, efforts
were made to revive long hair, the bob remained stylish.
The fashionable flapper remained throughout the 20s, until the craze faded away with the
oncoming 30s. The fads and rages of the flappers left an impression on Americans for years to
come. These radical women, who were considered immoral and distasteful, remain symbolic of the
famous Roaring 20s.
The flapper fashion was borrowed by many of the women who lived in the 1920 s. But as it is
with every fashion craze, there are many different examples. The pictures that follow show some
of the other clothing items that were characteristic of the 1920 s. This beautiful velvet dress and
jacket would have been worn for an evening on the town, as would this satin hat. The purple velvet
dress below also is representative of the period. These photos are courtesy of the museum

Reasons For The Articles Of Confederation
What were some of the reasons that the Articles of Confederation needed some revision? The
Articles of Confederation needed revisions for several reasons. The first reason being that the
articles created a weak government. Secondly, there were many weaknesses that were evident and
required immediate attention. The weaknesses that were the most important were that the
government could not establish a mandatory taxation, did not have control over commerce and the
nation lacked overall unity. These weaknesses lead states to reject the original articles because these
problems could simply not be overlooked. The need for a stronger government, as well as solutions

Trauma is when an individual experiences an extremely stressful event that leaves a helpless and

to one other attribute that helped mold him into a good leader and a good man, and that was

Chios Research Paper
Seventeen dreadful hours in a plane is what it takes to go from Cleveland, Ohio to Chios,
Greece. The 747 commercial plane to the mainland is heaven compared to the sinister, much
smaller, propeller plane to Chios. The tiny coffin holds maybe 30 people tops and feels a lot like
being inside a tin rattle.Landing after two hours of unsettling turbulence awakens thankful
thoughts in a person.Compared to the dark dungeon of the plane, everything outside is bright and
full of life. The island Chios is one of the closest of the Greek islands to Turkey. In the past there
has been a lot of turmoil between the two countries. If someone were to google Chios the first thing
to pop up would be the brutal massacre that occurred there. Being as close as it... Show more

The houses do not include just the typically depicted white stone people traditionally think of but
all sort of different colors and styles. The closer to the mountains the darker the stones are. The
reason for this is that the type of stone that was found in the area is what was usually used in
making the house. The country part of the island is mountainous with goats scaling anything
they can get their hooves on. For example one might find one ascending a neighbor s stone fence
or perhaps a car. There are tons of goats on the island but they are never seen as pests. Goats are a
useful farm animal as they can supply both milk, which is used to make Feta cheese, and meat.
Finding a hamburger on the island is difficult because mostly goats and sheep are raised.
However there is always plenty of gyro and souvlaki. Fish is also really big in Chios. Just a peek
at the coast and someone will find small boats bringing in the day s catch. This means the fish is
always fresh and if the restaurant ever runs out of something they can just call out to a local
fisherman to pick up some more. Walking along the coast it is unsurprising to see the local
restaurants hanging up fresh octopus to dry out in the sun. They even allow customers to pick out

EDU 622: Applying Learning Theories
Identifying The Components of Cognitivist Theories used in, Kermit and The Keyboard.
Abstract
Cognitivism emphasizes on the explanation of cognitive structures and process, and the
intervention of these structures and processes between instruction and learning (Glaserfeld, 1989).
The study of cognitivism has allowed for educators, theorist and psychologist to understand the
concepts of knowing, thinking and formulating feedback. In reviewing the sample texture, Kermit
and the Keyboard, has allowed for philosophers and psychologist to review the interactional theories
of learning process. Within this paper, will identify,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Philosophers and psychologist was able to determine three different cognitivist theories in relation
to sample text to help capture the meaning of information processing using cognitivism. The three
theories of cognitivist that was evaluated relates to the sample text Cognitive Information
Processing (CIP), Piaget s Theory and Perspective of Interactional Theories of Cognitive
Development. The theories of cognitivist used within the text provided the essence of
understanding and explaining Kermit s learning in the story.
The approach of using cognitive and knowledge development creates the mental process of
attention, memory, producing and understanding the process of learning (Smith, 2002). The three
different cognitivist theories, Cognitive Information Processing (CIP), Piaget s Theory and
Perspective of Interactional Theories of Cognitive Development helps capture the significants of
cognitive and knowledge development in capturing the true meaning critical thinking. Cognitive
Information Processing (CIP) develops the approach of problem solving and decision making. The
concepts of cognitive information processing provides the content of effective decision making
including being knowledgeable about the content of personal human values, interest, skills and

Yeats s Interest in Rhythm
The purpose of rhythm, it has always seemed to me, is to prolong the moment of contemplation,
the moment when we are both awake and asleep, which is the one moment of creation, by
hushing us with an alluring monotony, while it holds us waking by variety, to keep us in that
state of perhaps real trance, in which the mind liberated from the pressure of the will is unfolded
in symbols. (W.B. Yeats) What light does this comment of Yeats shed on his poetry? Feel free in
your answer to concentrate on poetic devices other than rhythm if you prefer. Yeats interest in
rhythm was deeply tied to the notion of the sound of the earth and nature, and our relationship
with the elements. He also had a profound interest and belief in faery, and the ways in which one
could transcend material reality in order to reach that world which ran alongside the natural
world. Yet Yeats, who was born in 1865 and died in 1939, lived through an era of immense
scientific discovery and change. He lived in a world where, by and large, to believe in faery was
to be irrational, and the industrial hum of engines prevailed over the quieter sounds of nature. In
his earlier poetry, he conveys a certain reverence towards the ancient rhythms of language and
nature, flying in the face of the frenetically busy London life he experienced as a young man. The
bewitching beauty of the landscape of Sligo, steeped in folklore, were the true rhythms which
brought on the state of perhaps real trance , allowing him to

Why I Don t Have A Home
In life, our goal is to find a place we belong. Some people find their belongingness in their craft.
Some find it in success. One may find it at their home. But for me? I don t have a home. The
year is 750 AD and I live in the capital of The Tang Dynasty(618 907), Chang an; the cultural
center where you can thrive as a person; making me part of Ancient China s Golden Age( Ancient
China For Kids 6). However, I don t feel my sense of belonging here. I m in a place I didn t ask to
be in: being a young orphan girl, trying to make a living on my own. I have no relation with the
top class imperial family, nor am I involved with any sort of aristocracy. Although, maybe if I were
a man, I would be able to study and work my way up to bureaucracy at least. However, that is not
the case; I am not a eunuch nor can I be a religious official! Therefore, I am a very low class; a
peasant orphan( Tang DynastySocial Structure 3). I wonder who could throw me out of this
helpless position. Shall I sell myself to slavery and be the lowest of the low? But then I
remember it is illegal to sell a free person into slavery( History of Slavery in China 3). What
could this mean for me then? If I am forced to be free, what good could it be? One may have
heard that women are more free in the Tang Dynasty just because we have a woman in power,
Empress Wu! Although this may be true, only women in relations with high class or aristocracy
are far more able to move up and get involved in

My Most Memorable Experience In My Life
My heart was pounding out of my chest as I walked through the frigid, pitch black forest alone. I
could hear was the sound of the night wind blowing against the trees, crickets chirping in the tall
grass all around me, the stream flowing peacefully on my right, and my unsteady breath, which
seemed like the loudest. I walked, step by step, along a path I could barely make out. Am I going
off the trail? I questioned myself, and kept walkingthrough the silent forest. I was on my first, and
only solo night hike in Yellowstone, Wyoming. This was a night that I will remember forever.
Over the summer, I took a trip to Yellowstone, Wyoming with thirty eight other eighth graders and
high schoolers. The trip lasted almost two weeks and was one of the most memorable experiences
in my life, but there was one night that impacts me every single day since. On the third night that
we were staying at our campsite, my friends and I were getting ready for bed and hanging out
around the bonfire when the camp counselors made an announcement.
Everyone meet at the bonfire at 10:30 and bring nothing with you. No backpacks, phones,
flashlights, absolutely nothing. Dress warm because it s going to be cold tonight! announced Miss
Flower, one of the counselors.
My friends and I looked at each other, confused. What were we going to do? Where are we
going? What is going on? There were so many questions overfilling our minds, that none of the
counselors would answer. Time seemed to pass so slowly as we waited for an hour until we
were supposed to meet. No one had any idea what was going on, or what the night was going to
hold. When it was finally time, we hurried over to the bonfire to figure out what was happening.
We were shocked when Miss Flower just told us to just follow her and the other counselors down
the dirt road by our tents. She didn t answer any questions, where we going, what we were doing,
absolutely nothing.
We followed the counselors down the path, which led us to a one lane highway. Everyone crossed
quickly, even though there were no cars to be seen. There were no lights anywhere, except the soft
illumination from the stars above us. After crossing the highway, we walked in tall grassfor a few
minutes which

African American Women Have A Long History Of Being...
African American women have a long history of being political activists. African American
foremothers, such as: Frances E.W. Harper, Maria Stewart, Sarah Mapps Douglass, Sarah Parker
Remond, Harriet Jacobs, Mary Ann Shadd Cary, and Ida B. Wells were fighting for racial, social,
and gender equality since slavery and the Emancipation Proclamation. Whether it is in print culture
or in public culture African American women have continuously protested the treatment of African
Americans and women in America. Yet, the presence of women (especially African American
women) was not welcomed in America s public domain. In fact, it deviated from acceptable gender
roles. Women on the public stage receiving spotlight for their resistance against... Show more

Laurel Thatcher Ulrich is generally accredited for the quote: Well behaved women seldom make
history . Laurel Thatcher Ulrich quote perfectly captures the struggle of equality and the entrapment
of femininity that all women face. In order for most women to protest the oppression traditional
gender role place on women, they (women) would have to deviate against societal gender norms.
The narrow framework of Victorian s true womanhood did not allow women to challenge their
treatment in a patriarchal society. It would have been impossible for a woman to assert her
independence and rally for her civil rights and civil liberties in American society; while, still
upholding the status of a true woman . Thatcher Ulrich quote embodies the public s perception of
women who differed from social gender norms. Their actions were not viewed as heroic or
innovative; instead women were publicly ridiculed as deviants and inappropriate women. They
were in the outgroup of American society.
The negative labeling giving to women who rally for women s rights served as a public
ramification to any woman who felt oppressed in America s male normative society. Placing
criterions on womanhood allowed for women to be socially bondage to social perceptions of their
behavior. The negative labeling of women s worth also encouraged social backlash against activist
women. Three of the most popular negative labels placed on women were

Maslow s Humanistic Approach Theory
Maslow s Humanistic Approach theory was based solely on what motivates people to reach our
highest potential. He believed that individuals have set motivation systems and individuals
achieve a set of needs by passing these motivation systems. Maslow believed these stages were
set in a hierarchal order and that the lowest system must be accomplished before moving up. He
believed there to be eight stages in his hierarchy. He believed that every person is capable to
move up the hierarchy as long as there basic needs are encountered and they have the desire to
reach the highest potential. According to Maslow, only a small percentage of the population
reaches the level of self actualisation (NetMBA, 2002). The first stage of Maslow s hierarchy...

Until she meets a man that can provide this basic need in life, she will continue feeling lonely
and will continue being desperate for this need. Sex can help boost your spirits through mood
elevating endorphins. Without the benefit of these natural pick me ups, you might be prone to
feeling low (Streicher, 2017). Even though she has dated men in the past, they have not met her
needs in a man and therefore she has not been motivated to move up the hierarchy. Even when
she thought she found a man that met her standards, she would still end up hurt and would fall
down the hierarchy back to stage one. It is proven in the scenario that Ruth also likes her men
intelligent, as she believes that if this individual is intelligent, they will understand her as an
individual better and they will pursue and motivate her to reach the self actualisation that she
needs. When Ruth believed she found the one and continued to chat online with him for hours
upon hours, her basic need for sex was skipped until she met him in person as she believed that
all of her other basic needs were already met. The next stage that Ruth had to undergo in this
relationship were her safety needs. As she continued to talk to him online and did not have any
sense of suspiciousness towards him not being whom he said he was, her safety needs towards
him were encountered. They safety needs were also met when Ruth gave out her address for her
new online chatter to send her gifts, as she believed that she was

You probably know how important fluoride is to your teeth, which is why we can offer fluoride
treatments and varnishes at your checkup. These allow fluoride to penetrate deep into the enamel,
helping to prevent tooth decay and strengthening your teeth.
Sealants
Food particles can get stuck in the grooves of your teeth, especially your molars. This attracts
harmful bacteria, which can lead to tooth decay. To avoid cavities and fillings, we can use a clear
sealant. This covers and fills in the grooves, smoothing the area out so it s not just harder for
bacteria to take hold it s easier for you to clean the teeth at home.

drinks like soda are bad for your teeth. But carbohydrates found in foods like bread and rice can

Fa Mu Lan No Name Woman
The No Name Woman is a failure in Chinese society, but starkly contrasted by the success and
fulfillment of traditional expectations demonstrated in the woman warrior, Fa Mu Lan. In the
second section of Kingston s account, White Tiger, the author controversially develops her own
retelling of this famous myth with herself as the legendary Chinese figure. Kingston initiates
this section stating, when we Chinese girls listened to the adults talk story, we learned that we
failed if we grew up to be but wives or slaves (Kingston 19). The words of her elders engrained in
Kingston and her female peers their place of women, enslaved to their husbands and bound to
housework. Yet Kingston does not accept this reality and instead plunges into a powerful tale of a
female who not only overcomes gender roles but is the champion of the entire Chinese nation. Fa
Mu Lan is a swordswoman, who utilizes her physical and magical training to cause social justice.
Despite her occupations with valor and justice, however, Kingston s character also finds time to
nurture a child and attend the domestic duties traditionally assigned to women, a challenge to
ancient stereotypes and an affirmation of modern ideas of women balancing families with their
careers. Similarly, the weapons Kingston yields are her words and the truth of her experience she
artfully relates.

The Gospel Of John And Mark
Position Paper 2: Jesus in the Gospel of John and Mark
All of the Gospels describe the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, but each author illustrates the
stories differently. Scholars believe Mark is the first Gospel written and is symbolized by a lion
to denote Christ as powerful and fast paced. The Book of John, understood to be the last gospel
composed, is perceived as an eagle because the story differs greatly and is often more developed
than the other Gospels. Comparing John 2 to the Gospel of Mark will depict unique themes and
characteristics of Jesus. Jesus performs many miracles throughout the Gospels. Comparing how
he presents these wonders among different books can help display the author s themes and goals
in these Gospels. Jesus first miracle, turning water into wine, is only mentioned in the book of
John. This story is called The Wedding at Cana (John 2:1 12). Jesus and his disciples attend a
wedding and Jesus mother is concerned that there is no wine left. He asks the servants to fill
their jars with water, but when the steward tasted the water it had become wine. Another
interesting miracle story is Jesus walking on water (Mark 6:45 52). In this story, Jesus disciples
leave on a boat, while he stays back to pray. He then walks on water towards their boat, and the
disciples were afraid when they saw him. Each of these stories involve water and display Jesus
great power, but their differences are even more significant. John s story

NECK: The examiner is very organized in her technique. Like the book she begins with inspection
noting that the neck should be symmetrical and the head held erect. She has the patient perform
ROM correctly and tests the spinal accessory nerve (cranial nerve number 11). The examiner
inspects the jugular veins in the patients neck which is an assessment that I was unable to find in
the book. She did palpate the carotid arteries making sure to note that they should not be palpated
at the same time and that if to much pressure is applied over the carotid sinus area it can cause
vagal stimulation which in turn will slow the patient heart rate. She correctly palpated the lymph

the nasal cavity with an otoscope included inspection with the head tilted back however she did not

deviation but did not say why. The book states that a deviated septum is not uncommon but should
be documented in case the patient ever needs nasal suctioning or a nasogastric tube. She noted the
inspection of the turbinates. The examiner did not palpate the sinus in this video but she did in a
previous one. When she palpated the sinus in the previous video she noted that if there was
tenderness or swelling of the sinuses that trans illumination needed to be performed, the book
however says that there is no evidence to support the practice of trans illumination. She starts the
examination of the mouth by checking the jaw alignment which is not in the book. She inspects the
lips but does not check the inner surface. She asked the patient to remove any dentures and notes
the normal amount of teeth that is expected in an adults mouth. She inspects the tongue however
when grasping it with gauze she did not inspect both sides but went directly to palpating beneath

The Influence Of Architecture And Design On Society
Throughout this essay, I am going to explore how architecture and design can be a mechanism
which is able to influence the public and have a control over society. On a daily basis, society is
continuously being subconsciously impacted and some may say controlled by factors of
architecture and design such as propaganda buildings, public spaces, objects, graphics, films and
advertisement. I am going to investigate into how each of these aspects may have subliminal
messages within them and what effect this may have on individuals and the general public. It is
also important to recognise why certain people react to certain manners of architecture and design
and how this may have changed over the years. Human behaviour in society is undoubtedly
influenced by the creation and construction of the environments they live, work and socialise in.
People, subconsciously, tend to live their lives precisely linked to the way the environments they
are living within are designed. Factors, like objects and graphics such as billboard advertisements,
in these environments also have an effect on society and how people behave. Architecture and
design have the power to encourage people to communicate with one another, they have the power
inspire people to explore different aspects of their cities and/or countries. They can encourage
someone to become more active, through clever thought and form. Architecture and design have the
ability to influence the behaviour of people in prisons, hospitals,

Essay Comparing Frankenstein And Modern Prometheus
With hundreds of thousands of songs, books, movies, and art dedicated to this one emotion,
there is plenty of evidence that when it comes to human interaction love is an extremely
powerful emotion that can have a transforming effect. In contrast, a lack of love can also have
effects, especially dire or negative ones for those who are in need. Behind Mary Shelley s
Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus is a main character who cherishes himself, his own
pride, and has grand plans in mind for his legacy, all of which could possibly have positive results,
but do not feature a plan or a personality ripe with love. In contrast, Goethe s Faust also features a
character who is strong willed and very smart, but without a strong sense of love for others in his
life, he also faces negative results. Both works could... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite the very poignant quote of A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart (Goethe
Part 1), Faust still yearns for more than the heart, more than what love can offer to one s life. He
seems pained by the lack of knowledge in his life: Oh, God! Art is long / And life is short (558
559), but when speaking of what he can feel, the lament is not nearly as strong:
You can t, if you can t feel it, if it never / Rises from the soul, and sways / The heart of every single
hearer, / With deepest power, in simple ways. / You ll sit forever, gluing things together, / Cooking
up a stew from other s scraps, / Blowing on a miserable fire, / Made from your heap of dying ash.
/ Let apes and children praise your art, / If their admiration s to your taste, / But you ll never speak
from heart to heart, / Unless it rises up from your heart s space. (535 545)
Faust has perhaps already resigned himself to a loveless life, or perhaps his strong feelings for
acclaim and knowledge cloud the possibilities of what love can bring to one s life, if one only lets
it rise

  • 2. Describe How The Sporophyte Stages Of A Plant Life Cycle... Chapter29 1.Describe how the sporophyte and gametophyte stages of a plant life cycle differ. The life cycles of all land plants alternate between two generations of distinct multicellular organisms which are gametophytes and sporophytes. Each generation give rise to the other otherwise known as alternation of generations which is when the life cycle includes both multicellular haploid organisms and multicellular diploid organisms. Gametophyte is a gamete producing, multicellular haploid (1n). It is named for its production by mitosis of haploid gametes such as egg and sperm, that fuse during fertilization, forming diploid zygotes. This mitotic division of the zygote produces a multicellular diploid sporophyte, which is a spore producing plant. Nature sporophyte produces haploid spores, which are reproductive cells that can develope into a new haploid organism without fusing with another cell. Mitotic division of the spore cell produces a new multicellular gametophyte, and the cycle begins again. 2.Explain why most bryophytes grow close to the ground. Bryophytes are nonvascular plants that are seedless, and do not form a monophyletic group (a clade). There favorable habitat is in moist soil and or tree bark which allows them to germinate and grow into gametophytes. They generally form into ground hugging carpet, because of the bryophytes lack of vascular tissue which is needed to transport water and nutrients in long distances. The thin structure allows bryophyte organs to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. National And State Assembly Elections In Nepal We have seen nothing like this in Nepal in the past. I am talking about the upcoming national and state assembly elections. These elections might make or break democracy. The make part is easy to figure out. The elections will officially end the long political transition, convert the country de facto from a unitary state to federal, and mark the endorsement of the Constitution 2015 by the Madheshi parties. The Madheshi parties had refused to endorse the new constitution until their demands were met. They had asked for one state, and not more than two states, covering all 22 districts in the plains, but the major did not agree. So only 8 districts have been included in the Madheshi only State 2 (the states are yet to be named). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At stake are 275 seats in the federal parliament, 165 to be elected by the first past the post method and the rest from proportional representation. The number of State Assembly members will be twice as many in the same ratio. Which alliance enjoys the better prospects? In the 2013 general elections and recent local elections, the left parties were able to win nearly 60 percent seats up for the contest. If that ratio holds, the left alliance will likely be a clear winner in the upcoming national and state elections. However, the rebel candidates against the alliance candidates on both sides might not let the outcome to so straightforward. Whatever the outcome, the emergence of the left and the non left alliance is a good step in the right direction. If these alliances outlast the elections, it could be the beginning of a two party state, like in the United States and the United Kingdom, which will contribute to political stability and offer a clear choice for voters. But if the two alliances fail to become competitive, the break part will likely ensue, harming democracy and the country. Democratic elections make government representative and check it if it does not deliver or misbehaves. But they also create autocratic leaders on both left and right. For example, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini were members of socialist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The History Of The World Wide Web The history of the World Wide Web was created on August 6th, 1991 by Tim Berners Lee. (Bryant, 2012). Due to the creation of the World Wide Web, many things have changed. Websites have made everything either easier or more complicated. But, we will talk about the easier this world has gotten. Some websites that have made life easier are Facebook, Strayer University, Amazon, EBay, Google, Gmail, Yahoo, PayPal, Walmart, Schwan s, Myspace , Pogo, Trip Advisor, and Home Chef. These are just to name a few of the websites that have made our lives easier. I could not agree more, that technology is like the Devil to many households making parents divorce due to lack of person to person communication, and it makes partners want to have infidelities in their relationships. But, nonetheless, websites like the ones I listed above are to make our lives easier. We will start with Social Networking sites. Social Networking sites, like Facebook, and Myspace, are to bring people closer to each other from distances away. I have known of many relatives finding each other after many years of not knowing each other, due to adoption and other circumstances. They always help connect business to the users. You will always see ads on the sides of Facebook while playing a game, if it is not full screen, of business that you might like. Social Networking can be the cause of distraction with family as well. There was a report of a lady playing Farmville, a very popular game on Facebook and it used to ... • 5. Strategic Information Management Essay Business Report 2000 words Answer the question below in an academically rigorous manner, using business report style, with claims supported by referring to relevant literature. The assignment will need to be a mix of your own intellectual property (interpretation and analysis) and evidence drawn from published material to support your arguments, or the case you are building. You may make appropriate assumptions about the case as required, but please note them in your report. The Case The luxury clothing retailer Excellence, recently spent millions on IT for its futuristic exicenter store in New York, but the flashy technology has turned into a high priced disaster. The company needed to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Excellence poured roughly 25% of the store s budget into IT, including a wireless network to link every item to an Oracle inventory database in real time using radio frequency identification (RFID) tags on the clothes. The staff would roam the floor armed with PDAs to check whether items were in stock, and customers could do the same through touch screens in the dressing rooms. Each store manager was an experienced retailer and was given responsibility for their overall exicenter implementation, including the building and IT systems. The store managers were supported by the architects and builders and by their in house IT staff, for whom the exicenter project was a new and exciting opportunity. Although it proved difficult to integrate the different components of the project and the IT testing schedule was minimised to meet a revised schedule, the project was eventually finalised. But most of the flashy technology today sits idle, abandoned by employees who never quite embraced computing chic and who are now too overwhelmed by large crowds to assist shoppers with handhelds. On top of that, many gadgets, such as automated dressing room doors and touch screens, are either malfunctioning or ignored. Packed with experimental technology, the clear glass dressing room doors were designed to open and close automatically at the tap of a foot pedal, then turn opaque when a second pedal sent an electric ... • 6. Since the use of a dictionary has been associated with... Since the use of a dictionary has been associated with negative views among teachers and educators, there is relatively little body of researches in regard to its impact on L2 acquisition. Many teachers argue that the use of the dictionary while reading may divert students attention to an individual word instead of understanding the text as a whole; thus, hinder the comprehension process (knight, 1994). The top communicative approach that advocates implicit vocabulary learning was dominant in the 1970s and 1980s which led many educators to discourage the frequent use of dictionary and pay more attention to guessing word meaning from context (SГ¶kmen, 1997). However, there are many limitations to employ merely the guessing strategy. As... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is important to have a look at the information provided by a typical dictionary in order to recognize the potential effectiveness of dictionaries in enhancing vocabulary acquisition. In most dictionaries, a typical word entry includes: meaning, grammar, usage, history, status, synonym, discrimination, application of derivative affixes, details of the parts of speech, indications of style and register, pronunciation, the origin of the word, labels to indicate the field in which the word is commonly used, gender of words, verb conjugations, common expressions, idioms and abbreviations. Marckwardt (1973) believes that the information supplied by dictionaries about the language can not be found elsewhere. Taking into consideration the valuable information supplied by dictionaries, the significant role of the dictionary in developing the process of learning vocabulary can not be denied. In recent years, dictionary use has relatively become a topic of research interest. For example, Summers (1988) reported the results of three experiments done on the effectiveness of the use of the dictionary in reading comprehension and vocabulary learning. The first two experiments focused on reading comprehension and found that comprehension was significantly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Rhodes Must Fall Movement This essay will attempt to give a response of the Rhodes Must Fall writings. It is clear that the rising of movements like Rhodes Must Fall, has been a result of a wave of philosophies of Fanon and Biko who share a highly similar pedigree in their interests in the philosophical psychology of consciousness and desire for a decolonising of the mind (). Their ideologies have the interest of young South Africans. The essay will be done by looking into how the movement wants the university to be decolonised, the statue of Rhodes, alienation the students are experiencing, curriculum change, the university s lack of cultural space and representation of blacks, racism in the university and social/systematic exclusion of black students. In order to understand what the movement wants to achieve, it is relevant to provide a background of its insurgence. The Rhodes Must Fall Movement is a collective movement of students and staff members mobilizing for direct action against the reality of institutional racism at the University of Cape Town (The Johannesburg Salon, 2015:6) .The movement aims to advance black students interests by ending the oppression they experience in the university and achieving equality. It is a shame that the University of Cape Town, just like other parts of the South African society still retain a colonial character. The Rhodes Must... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 8. Artemis Morley Essay Last April (2016) when I made my inaugural trip to the Artemis Film Festival, I came in contact with the works of a filmmaker that greatly intrigued me Jill Morley. Although I didn t meet her nor screen her work at the festival, I have discovered that if Artemis promotes a filmmaker, it is worth my while to investigate the person. And that is exactly what I did. A few months back, Jill and I had the opportunity to chat, and in spite of her busy schedule, we briefly discussed her work within the indie filmcommunity, her various films and projects, and her in progress works and future aspirations. RH: What caused you to go the route of making films? JM: Well, I started off as an actor. I wasn t getting cast as much as I wanted to, so... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most recent one listed was Cris Cyborg, is that correct? Yes, that s a piece that I did for Vice magazine. I was a host, and I helped produce it. I had been fascinated with her for a long time. I knew a friend of hers said she was very sweet and nice and actually girly, though a lot of people don t think that she s like that when they think of her. I reached out to her and did this small piece on her with Vice. I was very proud of our work. So between your two films Confessions of a Go Go Girl and Fight Like a Girl, which one seemed to have the best reception do you think? It s hard to say. It s been so long between the films. The first film got into more festivals, and we got a broadcast distribution. But now so many more people are making films. I still don t feel like Fight Like a Girl has reached its full potential. • 9. Challenges Of Indian Students Face On Campus Indians students in US facing cultural disconnect on campus Indians love to boast about the cultural diversity of their land, but it is not until they arrive at a US university that they encounter the real thing. All said and done, some things are the same wherever you go in India, and there are not that many surprises. But new Indian students who arrive in the US are never quite prepared for the cultural tidal wave that await them on campus. However, most of them overcome the culture shock eventually and come to love their campus lives, so much so that they suffer a reverse culture shock when they visit home. The initial months of adjustment are the most difficult for Indian students. Here we discuss some problem areas and how students find solutions. Communication The main difficulty that Indian students face on campus is how to interact with other international and American students and teachers. A large majority of Indian students, even some of those who have graduated in the English medium from reputed schools in big cities in India, not to speak of small towns, struggle to converse with other students, particularly Americans. They are unable to understand popular American expressions, including idioms ( I ll take a rain check, you re on the ball, I m still finding my feet, etc.), words/phrases ( downtown, okra, check, etc.), and spellings ( caliber, program, traveling, etc.). American pronunciation also confuses Indians ( semai for semi, skedule ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Extraction and Characterization of Proteins EXTRACTION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF PROTEINS Abstract Different techniques and principles for protein extraction and characterization were demonstrated in this experiment. Various proteins were extracted from different sources: 1.67 g yeast invertase, 1.03 g egg white albumin, and 5.15 g of milk casein. Activity assay for invertase was performed using Benedict s test and the enzymes inverting action on sucrose was confirmed. Warburg Christian Method and Bradford Assay were also employed to determine the protein concentration in the albumin and the casein samples. The concentrations for the albumin and casein samples were found to be 0.519 and 0.327 mg/mL, respectively based on Warburg Christian Assay; and 6.5x10 3В¬ and 1.9x10 2 mg/mL... Moreover, the differences in the amino acid sequence makes proteins differ in their salting in and salting out behavior. This is the basis for the fractional precipitation of proteins by means of salt. Most commonly used salt is ammonium sulfate because it is available in highly purified form and because of its high solubility. (Boyer, 2000) Proteins can also be fractionally precipitated by adjusting the pH, temperature and dielectric constant. Variations in pH also change the state of ionization of the functional groups, and hence, the net charge of the protein. Usually, the protein s solubility is at its least at the isoelectric point pI and increases on either side of the pI. At the pI, the net charge of the protein is zero and the protein molecules do not repel each other. As a result, protein protein interactions are increased and the solubility is at its lowest. (Boyer, 2000) Meanwhile, if temperature is increased denatures the proteins. Proteins then unfold and the non polar groups which were previously in the interior of the molecule become exposed. This leads to a decrease in the solubility of the protein in aqueous environment. Addition of ethanol, methanol, acetone and the like decreases the dielectric constant and thus decreases protein s solubility. (Boyer, 2000) The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Summary Of The Odd One Out Sarthak Chawla Nathanial Hodes Composition 16th September The Odd One Out On the most famous street in Boston, Newbury, there lays two architectural opposites just across from one another. The Church of the Covenants a great historical church built in a gothic architectural style where you would see historians, tour guides or school field trips and a Victoria Secret store that covers an entire block and is build on the bases of modern architecture where friends and family would go shopping or for a day out. Why would there be such ancient architecture at a modern vibrant shopping district such a Newbury? The Church of the Covenants was built in 1867 and the decision to surround such a historic artifact with a shopping district was done purposefully. The Church when seen seems very out of place in a street such as Newbury, however, the two polar opposite architectural masterpieces reflect the diversity of Newbury Street, and as to why it is referred to the time square of Boston. The different architecture invites different types of people to such a vibrant street making it not only a tourist attraction but also a street where people from all different demographics come. The presence of the Convent Church cannot be ignored by anyone when they walk on Newbury Street. I found it to be very interesting how nothing near the church was taller than it. Charles Robert Darwin was an English geologist and naturalist, best known for his significant addition to the science of evolution. Exploring the Schema Theory of Learning Essay Theories of Learning Schema Theory Overview: Schema Theory is part of the cognitive theories of learning module and deals with how the brain processes new knowledge (Chalmers, 2003). Schemata are packets of prior knowledge that have been stored in a learner s memory. Each learner has developed schemata that are based on prior experience and knowledge. Learners seek to connect new information with prior knowledge and use generalizations to assist in organization of information. Schema Theory is focused on conceptual learning and states that knowledge seeks organization in order to develop meaning (Anderson, 1984). This meaning is interrelated to prior knowledge and/or experience. Without a schema to which an event can be assimilated, learning is slow and uncertain (Anderson, 1984, pg. 5). Knowledge that does is not easily connected with previous schemata may undergo a form of schema evolution or be discarded (Rumelhart Norman, 1980). Thus, development of new schemata or expanding of existing schemata relies heavily on a learner s prior knowledge. Application: Schema Theory s application in the learning environment can be seen in a variety of ways in the learning environment. Schema Theory relies heavily on building connections to prior learning. Therefore, it is crucial to employ teaching to expand learner s general knowledge and concepts in order to provide a base for schematic connections. Teachers can be seen reminding students of what they already know in order to build on previous knowledge and help make connections to new ideas. However, teachers must understand that not all learner s schemata are the same. A method of instruction that has its roots in Schema Theory and is often used in learning environments is concept mapping. Concept mapping allows students to build on their previous knowledge by connecting a cluster of concepts to a memory that is already encoded. Another way teachers often tap into schemata theory is by focusing on skill based learning rather than rote memorization. By ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Robinson explains the different and unique origins of power, prosperity, and poverty for certain nations. The preface of Why Nations Fail foreshadows what is next to come by explaining that key historical events in life can make or break a country s success and future. Next, each chapter dives into these key historical events, known as case studies, and analyses that chapter s nation(s) and why the nation is either poverty stricken or prosperous. This is known as the book s methodology. The authors give examples such as with inclusive and extractive institutions to argue against theories that suggest why nations are poor that are not correct such as the geography hypothesis, culture hypothesis, and ignorance hypothesis. This book argues that nations have and will continue to fail politically and economically if they implement extractive institutions instead of inclusive institutions. The gap in literature between the authors of Why Nations Fail and other authors of works of non fiction that describe why nations fail is the nature of specific institutions. These institutions are inclusive economic institutions, inclusive political institutions, extractive economic institutions, and extractive political institutions. These different institutions are the main focus of the book. The authors go on in detail as to why these institutions are so key to understanding how a nation became to poverty stricken or rich. The authors of Why Nations Fail particularly dislike and articulate why hypothesis such as the geography, ignorance and culture hypothesis are not sufficient evidence for why a nation was and still continue to be poor to this day. These hypotheses can be known as the fallacious hypotheses. The first fallacious hypothesis is the geography hypothesis. The geography hypothesis states that the differences between countries and their economic success is due their geography and where they are located. Among the top organizations in the forefront against the disease is the Breast Cancer Action. The Breast Cancer Action is an organization whose primary goal is to provide the public especially women with information regarding Breast cancer. History informs us about the first method the parties developed in order to pick their presidential candidates. This method was the congressional caucus. The person who received the majority of the electoral votes would win the presidential election and the person who received the second most amount of electoral votes won the vice presidential election. When the votes are counted on January 6th, the Presidential candidate that gets more than half, 270, wins the election. The President elect and Vice President elect then take the oath of office and are inaugurated two weeks later, on January 20th. Returning to the main question, I don t believe the electoral process results in the best candidates for President. I believe the choice should not be left for the electoral college but for each person s vote to count. One alternative is the popular vote where everyone s vote would count for one vote. I don t think it is fair to try to convince people that they have a voice and encourage them to vote, when the Electoral College has the final say. The Electoral College leads to things like there being massive amounts of campaigning being down in battleground states like Ohio and Florida while people in solidly red or solidly blue states have their issues basically ignored because it s almost certain which way the state is going to go. During the 1920 s, Americans were given the honor of being called the best dressed . Several things contributed to this honor: Affordable pricing, mass production clothing, the birth of the flapper girl , and rise of fashionable movie stars that Americans wanted to imitate. The style and cut of women s clothing during the 1920 s changed drastically. Waistlines dropped dramatically while hemlines rose scandalously. Turned down hose were no longer black, but beige. Rouged knees, bobbed hair, and figureless figures characterized the radical flappers . These women violated many of the rules dictating appropriate clothing and behavior for women. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The flapper girl trend peaked in 1926, leaving materials such as silk, chiffons, georgettes, crepes, and voiles in high demand. Beads, sequins, and feathers also adorned the fashionable dresses. Coco Chanel, a role model for the flapper, provided many styles, including the popular single strand of pearls. Corsets were no longer popular, but instead the sexless figure was favored. Scarfs were often draped over the shoulders if one could not afford a dead fox neck piece. However, the one thing that distinguished the flapper from anyone else was the bobbed haircut. Although, efforts were made to revive long hair, the bob remained stylish. The fashionable flapper remained throughout the 20s, until the craze faded away with the oncoming 30s. The fads and rages of the flappers left an impression on Americans for years to come. These radical women, who were considered immoral and distasteful, remain symbolic of the famous Roaring 20s. The flapper fashion was borrowed by many of the women who lived in the 1920 s. But as it is with every fashion craze, there are many different examples. The pictures that follow show some of the other clothing items that were characteristic of the 1920 s. The Articles of Confederation needed revisions for several reasons. The first reason being that the articles created a weak government. The weaknesses that were the most important were that the government could not establish a mandatory taxation, did not have control over commerce and the nation lacked overall unity. These weaknesses lead states to reject the original articles because these problems could simply not be overlooked. Yeats s Interest in Rhythm The purpose of rhythm, it has always seemed to me, is to prolong the moment of contemplation, the moment when we are both awake and asleep, which is the one moment of creation, by hushing us with an alluring monotony, while it holds us waking by variety, to keep us in that state of perhaps real trance, in which the mind liberated from the pressure of the will is unfolded in symbols. (W.B. Yeats) What light does this comment of Yeats shed on his poetry? Feel free in your answer to concentrate on poetic devices other than rhythm if you prefer. Yeats interest in rhythm was deeply tied to the notion of the sound of the earth and nature, and our relationship with the elements. He also had a profound interest and belief in faery, and the ways in which one could transcend material reality in order to reach that world which ran alongside the natural world. Yet Yeats, who was born in 1865 and died in 1939, lived through an era of immense scientific discovery and change. He lived in a world where, by and large, to believe in faery was to be irrational, and the industrial hum of engines prevailed over the quieter sounds of nature. In his earlier poetry, he conveys a certain reverence towards the ancient rhythms of language and nature, flying in the face of the frenetically busy London life he experienced as a young man. • 48. Fa Mu Lan No Name Woman The No Name Woman is a failure in Chinese society, but starkly contrasted by the success and fulfillment of traditional expectations demonstrated in the woman warrior, Fa Mu Lan. In the second section of Kingston s account, White Tiger, the author controversially develops her own retelling of this famous myth with herself as the legendary Chinese figure. Kingston initiates this section stating, when we Chinese girls listened to the adults talk story, we learned that we failed if we grew up to be but wives or slaves (Kingston 19). The words of her elders engrained in Kingston and her female peers their place of women, enslaved to their husbands and bound to housework. Yet Kingston does not accept this reality and instead plunges into a powerful tale of a female who not only overcomes gender roles but is the champion of the entire Chinese nation. Fa Mu Lan is a swordswoman, who utilizes her physical and magical training to cause social justice. Despite her occupations with valor and justice, however, Kingston s character also finds time to nurture a child and attend the domestic duties traditionally assigned to women, a challenge to ancient stereotypes and an affirmation of modern ideas of women balancing families with their careers. Similarly, the weapons Kingston yields are her words and the truth of her experience she artfully relates. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. The Gospel Of John And Mark Position Paper 2: Jesus in the Gospel of John and Mark All of the Gospels describe the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, but each author illustrates the stories differently. Scholars believe Mark is the first Gospel written and is symbolized by a lion to denote Christ as powerful and fast paced. The Book of John, understood to be the last gospel composed, is perceived as an eagle because the story differs greatly and is often more developed than the other Gospels. Comparing John 2 to the Gospel of Mark will depict unique themes and characteristics of Jesus. Jesus performs many miracles throughout the Gospels. Comparing how he presents these wonders among different books can help display the author s themes and goals in these Gospels. Jesus first miracle, turning water into wine, is only mentioned in the book of John. This story is called The Wedding at Cana (John 2:1 12). Jesus and his disciples attend a wedding and Jesus mother is concerned that there is no wine left. He asks the servants to fill their jars with water, but when the steward tasted the water it had become wine. Another interesting miracle story is Jesus walking on water (Mark 6:45 52). In this story, Jesus disciples leave on a boat, while he stays back to pray. He then walks on water towards their boat, and the disciples were afraid when they saw him. Each of these stories involve water and display Jesus great power, but their differences are even more significant. John s story ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 50. Carotid Sinus Book Report NECK: The examiner is very organized in her technique. Like the book she begins with inspection noting that the neck should be symmetrical and the head held erect. She has the patient perform ROM correctly and tests the spinal accessory nerve (cranial nerve number 11). The examiner inspects the jugular veins in the patients neck which is an assessment that I was unable to find in the book. She did palpate the carotid arteries making sure to note that they should not be palpated at the same time and that if to much pressure is applied over the carotid sinus area it can cause vagal stimulation which in turn will slow the patient heart rate. She correctly palpated the lymph nodes and the trachea. However, when it came to palpating the thyroid... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She follow along with the book by checking the patency of the patients nares. Visual inspection of the nasal cavity with an otoscope included inspection with the head tilted back however she did not view the nasal cavity with the head erect. While inspecting the nasal septum she said to check for deviation but did not say why. The book states that a deviated septum is not uncommon but should be documented in case the patient ever needs nasal suctioning or a nasogastric tube. She noted the inspection of the turbinates. The examiner did not palpate the sinus in this video but she did in a previous one. When she palpated the sinus in the previous video she noted that if there was tenderness or swelling of the sinuses that trans illumination needed to be performed, the book however says that there is no evidence to support the practice of trans illumination. She starts the examination of the mouth by checking the jaw alignment which is not in the book. She inspects the lips but does not check the inner surface. She asked the patient to remove any dentures and notes the normal amount of teeth that is expected in an adults mouth. She inspects the tongue however when grasping it with gauze she did not inspect both sides but went directly to palpating beneath the tongue. The examiner notes that the mucosa should be pink smooth and moist but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 51. The Influence Of Architecture And Design On Society Throughout this essay, I am going to explore how architecture and design can be a mechanism which is able to influence the public and have a control over society. On a daily basis, society is continuously being subconsciously impacted and some may say controlled by factors of architecture and design such as propaganda buildings, public spaces, objects, graphics, films and advertisement. I am going to investigate into how each of these aspects may have subliminal messages within them and what effect this may have on individuals and the general public. It is also important to recognise why certain people react to certain manners of architecture and design and how this may have changed over the years. Human behaviour in society is undoubtedly influenced by the creation and construction of the environments they live, work and socialise in. People, subconsciously, tend to live their lives precisely linked to the way the environments they are living within are designed. Factors, like objects and graphics such as billboard advertisements, in these environments also have an effect on society and how people behave. Architecture and design have the power to encourage people to communicate with one another, they have the power inspire people to explore different aspects of their cities and/or countries. They can encourage someone to become more active, through clever thought and form. Architecture and design have the ability to influence the behaviour of people in prisons, hospitals, ... • 52. Essay Comparing Frankenstein And Modern Prometheus With hundreds of thousands of songs, books, movies, and art dedicated to this one emotion, there is plenty of evidence that when it comes to human interaction love is an extremely powerful emotion that can have a transforming effect. In contrast, a lack of love can also have effects, especially dire or negative ones for those who are in need. Behind Mary Shelley s Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus is a main character who cherishes himself, his own pride, and has grand plans in mind for his legacy, all of which could possibly have positive results, but do not feature a plan or a personality ripe with love. In contrast, Goethe s Faust also features a character who is strong willed and very smart, but without a strong sense of love for others in his life, he also faces negative results. Both works could... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite the very poignant quote of A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart (Goethe Part 1), Faust still yearns for more than the heart, more than what love can offer to one s life. He seems pained by the lack of knowledge in his life: Oh, God! Art is long / And life is short (558 559), but when speaking of what he can feel, the lament is not nearly as strong: You can t, if you can t feel it, if it never / Rises from the soul, and sways / The heart of every single hearer, / With deepest power, in simple ways. / You ll sit forever, gluing things together, / Cooking up a stew from other s scraps, / Blowing on a miserable fire, / Made from your heap of dying ash. / Let apes and children praise your art, / If their admiration s to your taste, / But you ll never speak from heart to heart, / Unless it rises up from your heart s space. (535 545) Faust has perhaps already resigned himself to a loveless life, or perhaps his strong feelings for acclaim and knowledge cloud the possibilities of what love can bring to one s life, if one only lets it rise ...
