Essay On Social Problem
Writing an essay on the topic of a social problem is undeniably challenging. This task requires not
only a deep understanding of the chosen issue but also the ability to critically analyze its various
dimensions. Social problems are often multifaceted and deeply rooted in the fabric of society,
making it intricate to dissect and address them comprehensively in a limited space.
Moreover, crafting an essay on a social problem demands extensive research to gather relevant
data, statistics, and expert opinions. It necessitates delving into the historical context, examining
current trends, and forecasting potential future implications. The complexity of societal issues
often means grappling with conflicting viewpoints, ethical considerations, and the constant
evolution of the problem itself.
Additionally, one must navigate the delicate balance of presenting a persuasive argument while
maintaining objectivity. Addressing the emotional and human aspects of a social problem
requires a nuanced approach, as it involves discussing real-life struggles, injustices, and the
impact on individuals and communities. Striking this balance is crucial to ensure the essay is not
only informative but also empathetic and respectful.
Furthermore, the writer must be adept at organizing thoughts coherently and expressing them
eloquently. Developing a clear thesis statement and crafting well-structured paragraphs to
support it is essential. The essay should flow logically, guiding the reader through the
complexities of the social problem and presenting a compelling case for understanding and
action.
In conclusion, writing an essay on a social problem is no small feat. It demands a combination of
research skills, critical thinking, empathy, and effective communication. Aspiring essayists may
find themselves grappling with the inherent challenges of navigating intricate social issues while
striving to convey a thoughtful and impactful message.

Pre Civil War Economic Changes
To say the United States has changed since the conclusion of the Civil War is a
major understatement. One could spend hours just discussing and analyzing the
economic changes that have taken place and then some more connecting those to
the social and political modifications. If one could invent a time machine and bring
back a person from the Pre Civil War Era, he or she would not be able to begin to
comprehend the changes that have taken place. In other words, the United States has
changed to the point of being unrecognizable but only in certain areas and slightly
changed in others. Yet, these national historical episodes are different for every
individual and social group. For some, the changes have been largely beneficial from
the very beginning... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As mentioned before, the judicial system was taken by force within this movement
by making discrimination in certain areas unconstitutional. Yet, those court cases
only took up one of three political branches and so many began to protest
Washington and more explicitly the president, in order to involve the Legislative
and Executive branches of government. The famous March on Washington comes
to mind with the giving of one of the most recognized speeches titled I have a
Dream spoken on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
With millions of people joining the ranks of the Civil Rights Movement from all
walks of life and ethnic groups, Congress began to take notice. With the signing of
the Civil Rights Act in 1964, a domino effect took place with more and more laws
being made and changed. These legal act reinforced the fourteenth and fifteenth
amendments which guaranteed human and voting rights to all people regardless of
skin color (it was later extended with the passage of the nineteenth amendment in
1917 which gave woman of all races the right to vote). In spite of the initial weak
execution of the aforementioned law, the momentum began to pick up alongside the
already started Civil Rights Movement. Coupled with the assassinations of political
and religious leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Robert Kennedy,
the movement and law gained even more of a backbone. Though the influences
would take decades to see, they were still there. The Civil Rights Movement led to
the formation of political groups like the Black Panther Party who fought against
racial injustice while promoting Black Excellence. Looking for a personal
perspective, the political changes allowed me to have the opportunity to vote without
persecution while maintaining my dignity as a woman and an African

the few products bees create and work their whole lives doing. Bees are dying off,

polished metallic bodies and legs that glisten in colors of green, blue, and copper.
Some are larger than the world s smallest hummingbird. While the tiniest are smaller
than fruit flies, tiny specs with four wings, most do not make honey and wax or live

Nulook Bounce-N-Party Narrative Report
November 9, 2015 through November 23, 2015, I continued interning at the
Nulook Bounce n Party located in Winterville, NC. The previous two weeks
consisted of me working and completing basic employee duties and procedures. I
have completed plenty of hours, and I have also completed my multimedia projects.
When I begin working in the field of Multimedia Arts, I should be ready. Viewing
my designs gives me happiness and fulfillment because it reminds me that I will be
creating and designing additional projects in the future. During the week of
November 9, 2015 through November 13, I spent time at home and at the Nulook
Bounce n Party facility. The building is still undergoing renovations. But the flat
screen televisions installed in the building has been a hit for the children since they
can now watch their favorite cartoon shows or play in the bounce houses, giving the
kids double the entertainment. Whenever customers enter the building, you can just
see the amazement on their faces. During the two weeks, I continued to work
independently at the facility. It is still slow during the week, so only one employee is
on shift. While working individually, I have become more confident in assisting

How Disney Has Changed Their Perception Of Their
Business...
When people think of Disney, the think of living in a fairytale and a day they will
never forget, however there are many factors that Disney has to consider for this to
be true. Disney has to do analysis including numerous factors before make their
enormous financial decisions. Over their course in business, Disney has made
several costly mistakes that changed their perception of their business ideas. When
Disney decides to build a new location they must take every factor into
consideration. Even when they believe they have covered all the bases, in reality
there is no way to be completely sure in how things will turn out in the future. One
example is EuroDisney and their poor performance. Disney initially believed they
built a true masterpiece. They believed the new location would be just like the
Tokyo park; which was a rare example. Furthermore, Disney was over optimistic in
how successful their locations could be compared to Tokyo. However, they were
sadly mistakenin reality. Their creation of EuroDisney was a huge flop, contrary to
the extensive research they left out key factors that destroyed their success. They
disregarded key factors such as competition, cultural differences and environment;
these factors were key to their failure. If Disney would have came in with a different
mindset, these factors would have been taken into consideration. As a result, there
would have been gigantic changes in their marketing strategy. Furthermore there were
similar mistakes

Gandalf the White His hair was white as snow in the sunshine; and gleaming white

eastern traditional cities and being built on two continents has arguably one of the
richest histories of architecture in the world. Rich periods in time can be exemplified

The city was rebuilt and featured incredible structures such as the Hagia Sophia
which symbolize the heights the Byzantine culture reached. Specific attributes that
made living in such a city so desirable were its trade locations and transportation
between three different continents. However, what made the city desirable also made
it a target for those who wanted to take advantage of its attributes. Over the next
several hundred years, the city was subject to attacks from Persians, Arabs and
nomadic people trying to take over the city. Members of the fourth crusade, who also
governed the city for a short time, also attacked Constantinople. All these attacked
lead to an attack in 1453 by the Ottoman Turks led by Sultan Mehmet II. Due to the
constant attacks led by others, the city s defenses were severely weakened, allowing
the Ottoman Turks to conquer the city. The city was then renamed to Istanbul, which
became the third and last capital of the Ottoman Empire. The city was the center for
military campaigns aimed at enlarging the Ottoman empire in a dramatic manor.
By the mid 1500 s, the city of Istanbul had a population of nearly 500,000. With a
population this large, the city was a major cultural, political and commercial nerve
center. The Ottoman rule remained until its forces were defeated in World War I
and Istanbul was occupied by the allies. Today, this area is now known as the

Biography of David Jenkins
David Jenkins, a Christian Science writer, believes that God created planet Earth
with a climate plan in mind. He references from the Bible to support his claims.
Jenkins has a thought that just because God made something does not mean it was
meant to be used up by man, but maybe to remain where it was originally placed.
He explains that the high use of coal by people seems to be what is causing the
increase in global temperatures and we need to reduce our need for fossil fuels by
finding better alternatives to energy. Jenkins acknowledges that other parts of life
are also being affected by such high temperatures like food shortages and water
droughts. He believes that religion and nature go hand in hand to make the world
work. Mr. Jenkins believes we need to respect God s design for our planet and take
into consideration how it was intended to be treated.
The article God s Climate Plan addresses several different reasons for David Jenkins
way of thinking. The first reason is by taking oil and coal from the earth in large
quantities and excessively burning these resources people are disturbing the natural
balance of the planet.
According to Sisters of the Holy Cross Congregation Justice Committee Our overuse
of fossil fuels and rampant deforestation are overwhelming the earth s ability to
absorb carbon dioxide thickening the greenhouse of gases shielding the planet and
disturbing heat flows between earth and space. These findings leave scientist to
believe that
The Characteristics And Comparison Of The Trajan s

Introduction: This essay will focus on one of Rome s most well preserved
monuments. A monument which stood the test of time, ever since reflecting an
important part of Rome s military history in a well preserved state, the Trajan s
Column. In this essay I will discuss who Trajan, the man who gave the Trajan s
Column its name, was and why he decided to build such a complex monument for
himself. What he was trying to tell the people and visitors of Rome with this
monument and look into the initial construction history. It will also be debated if
the Trajan s Column was a work of propaganda, or if there is after all more to it. A

Animal Slaughtering Is The Killing Of Animals
Animal slaughtering is the killing of animals; most of them domestic, and mainly for
the purpose of human consumption. Many different types of animal slaughtering
methods have been created such as; carbon dioxide, inert gas hypoxia, captive bolt
pistol, gunshot, exsanguination, and many other that are not regulated. Such varying
methods have evolved since the beginning of times, but with the increasing rates of
the human population a faster way of slaughtering needed to be created in order to
keep up. The question here is, have we, in our attempt to provide for the many,
forgotten about ethical ways to kill those that are gifting us with their life?
The problem we need to understand here is that many of these regulated methods are
not ethical and cause suffering to the dying animal. Whether it causes them pain and
distress even at low concentrations due to the carbon dioxide, broken bones due to
shackling, massive damage to the skull and a shockwave which stuns the brain due to
captive bolt pistol, or a slow and painful death if their sticking wound is inaccurately
placed this methods need to be either reevaluated or vanished. It is not fair for
animals to suffer and undergo horrible deaths just to satiate our hunger. When did
we start forgetting how to take care of that that give us life? When did we start
killing without mercy for the sake of our people? When did we forget to care for the
minority in order to benefit the majority?

Macbeth and His Downfall
Discuss Macbeth s Ruin...
People and decisions can greatly affect the outcome of a person s life determining
whether the outcome will be successful or disastrous. In Shakespeare s Macbeth,
there are two factors that contributed to Macbeth s ruin. One of them being more to
blame: The influential character of Lady Macbeth displaying temptation towards
Macbeth, or Macbeth s own ambitious and insecure nature. There are questions
whether Macbeth s downfall might have displayed more for his own blame. In closer
examination, it will be come apparent that Macbeth is more to blame for his
downfall. By first examining the influential acts of Lady Macbeth that made Macbeth
commit the murder to kill Duncan, and contrasting these with the ambitious ... Show

Her influence is completely self motivated and originated in her own mind. She takes
advantage of Macbeth s original motivation, his ambition, and uses that to decide
what he must do.
Although Lady Macbeth s influential character contributed to Macbeth s ruin, it
was Macbeths ambitious and insecure nature that was more to blame for his
downfall. After he was named King, Macbeth s misery and eventual downfall is
caused by his own insecurities and misguided determination to take control of his
future. The first of the two acts which lead to his downfall was the murder of
Banquo. The prophecy of the witches reveal that Banquo s children will become
kings. This leads to Macbeth s arrangement of Banquo s death, He hath a wisdom
that doth guide his valour/ To act in safety. There is none but he/ Whose being I do
fear; and under him/ My genius is rebuked, as it is said/ Mark Anthony s was by
Caesar. 4 The witches prophecy concerns Banquo s descendants and Macbeth s
feeling of inferiority, arranges the murder of Banquo and his son. In one of
Macbeth s soliloquy he contemplates on Banquo, stating that he is the only person
who he fears. Upon my head they placed a fruitless crown/And put a barren sceptre
in my gripe/ Thence to be wrenched with and unlineal hand/ No son of mine
succeeding. 5 Macbeth reveals his paranoia and fear that Banquo may be a threat.
Having Banquo around him lays a constant reminder of the evil deed he has

Gilles De La Tourette Syndrome
Abstract: Tourette syndrome is a neuropsychiatric condition characterized by both
motor and phonic tics over a period of at least one year with the onset in childhood
or adolescence. Apart from the tics, most of the patients with Tourette syndrome
have associated neuropsychiatric comorbidities consisting of attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, rage attacks, sleep issues,
depression, and migraine. Patients may also have physical complications directly
from violent motor tics which can rarely include cervical myelopathy, arterial
dissection and stroke. The purpose of this article is to review the associated
neuropsychiatric comorbidities of Tourette syndrome with emphasis on recent
research. Key Words: Tourette syndrome (TS); Neuropsychiatric comorbidities;
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD); Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
(OCD); Neurologic complication; Migraine. Introduction: Gilles de la Tourette
Syndrome (TS) is a neuropsychiatric condition characterized by both motor and
phonic tics with the onset in childhood or adolescence. First described by French
physician Georges Gilles de la Tourette in 1885, it is considered to be as one of the
most common childhood movement disorders. As per the Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fifth Edition s (DSM V), TS is diagnosed
clinically by the presence of multiple motor and one or more phonic tics, lasting at
least one year with the onset prior to age 18 (1). TS is
Minimum Wage Should Be Raised For A Better Standard Of

Minimum Wage Almost 3.3 out of 76 million workers in the US receive minimum
wage (Source: BLS reports). Activists for raising the minimum wage claim that the
federal minimum wage of $7.25 is the reason they are living in poverty, and that the
wage must be raised for a better standard of living. Many people who take on
minimum wage jobs are young and work in companies that don t carry much prestige;
however, they still take pride in their work and demand higher pay (BLS reports). On
the other side of the issue, there are claims that raising the minimum wage will
actually have more drawbacks than benefits such as hurting the economy (Opposing
Viewpoints). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These effects can be seen as a boost to the economy because those 28 million
workers would make use of their extra money, and put it back into the ever flowing
economy. This action by the workers would lead to an overall estimated 35 billion
dollar increase (Cap Action). Raising the minimum wage would also help lessen
the disparity of income that often occurs. I think many people can agree that some
jobs pay way too much, as opposed to other jobs. By raising the minimum wage
just a little, the workers can feel more needed and potentially increase productivity
(Cap Action). People also believe that by ensuring a fair wage distribution, affluent
people would have less trouble relating to poorer folk, and vice versa. Raising the
minimum wage would reduce unemployment, which is a problem some 4% of
Americans today suffer from (Pew Research). This statement is backed up by the
fact that previous states that raised minimum wage have generally seen an
increase in offered jobs (Cap Action). Raising the minimum wage would also
minimally affect other prices of things, which would not lead to problems in the
overall scheme of things (Cap Action). It is stated that the price of a CD would be
raised by just one cent to compensate for a minimum wage increase. An increase
would also let 3.5 million workers who use food stamps to be able to purchase their
own food, which would not only help them, but also help the
My Spiritual Autobiography Of My Life
Spiritual Autobiography
I often hear people say I knew I was called to preach the gospel or ministry is in my
blood. For many years, even into adulthood, I thought ministry was only about
preaching. I did not understand the depth of ministry until I became intimate with
God. I realize that those who said they were called to preach are only seeking out a
job because true ministry is a lifestyle. My spiritual journey began in early
childhood. However, unlike many others who grew up as pastor kids, the long
boring years I spent in church services deterred me from wanting to go into
ministry. Even into adulthood, I went to church but that is all I wanted to do. I
wanted to go to service, listen to the pastor, give my offering, say amen then go
home and proceed with the rest of my life. In fact, this cycle and my view about
doing ministry continued until my late 20s. As a seminarian looking back on my
childhood, I discovered my family s church habits were the norm for people at that
time. My grandmother did not believe women should to wear pants because they
were things that pertain to a man (Deuteronomy 22:5) and the skirt should always be
a modest length. I could not see it at that time, but, unknowingly, while I was
grumbling and complaining about my clothes and the time we spent in church, the
other believers were instilling biblical values in me that would manifest later in life.
My relationship with God between ages 18 and 26 is similar to the people in the last
The Conflict Between Ussr And Usa During The Cold War
The decolonization is a process in which colonies becomes independent of the
colonizing country. This process can be as violent as peaceful and most of the
revolutions emerging from decolonization were lead by a strong nationalism (Collins
English Dictionary, 2007). After World War II, most of the European countries did
not have enough economic and political stability to sustain to the different revolts
taking place in their colonies and to help them to improve social and economic
developments. But, it was inconceivable, for economic reasons, for these European
countries to let their colonies being independent. Only, USA and the Soviet Union
took positions against colonialism. On both sides, decolonization was unavoidable
because of their political convictions. Thus, these two superpowers influence the
decolonization process to achieve to their common goal: each state should be
independent from any other form of power (Beyond empire and nation:
Decolonizing societies in Africa and Asia 1930s 1970S, Amsterdam 2012). However,
the conflict between USSR and USA during the Cold waraffected the decolonization
process of many different countries. How did the Cold war between USA and the
Soviet Union had an impact on the decolonization process? To answer to this question
understanding the role of the two superpowers, during this period in the world, is
important. Than, in a second hand, the example of Indo China s decolonization will

The Tragical History Of Romeo And Juliet
In Shakespeare s rendition of the poem, The Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet
by Arthur Brooke, there lies an epic story filled with tragedy and romance. This
play introduces two characters who fall in love at first sight and even decide to be
married the next day. By today s standards, this may be seen as completely absurd and
impractical. The couple even commits suicide in an attempt to reunite with each
other. Even with the sacrifice made, there is no guarantee that their affection would
last if they had not been victims of circumstance. The supposed lovethat Romeo and
Juliet share is not real because they had a very brief amount of time to get to know
each other well, they are young and do not have enough experience in life, and their...

As it turns out, Romeo and Juliet also fall into that category. In the words of Lord
Capulet, But saying o er what I have said before. My child is yet a stranger in the
world. She hath not seen the change of fourteen years. (1.2.7 9) The reader can
deduct from this that Juliet is just thirteen years old. As it stands, Romeo s age is
not directly stated in the play, and it is arguable that he could be a variety of ages.
Nonetheless, he is young as well, relatively close in age to Juliet. Being that these
two are so young, they have not had as much experience as an adult has. Extreme
hardships, working to earn their keep, and sustaining their own household are things
that these two have not seen the likes of. Certainly, these experiences have a great
potential to change them and their actions. Their judgements and views on life may
be altered as a result of these. Lord Capulet even states that Juliet is a stranger in the
world , implying that she does not know much about how things work. In conclusion,
Romeo and Juliet are so young that their experiences are not significant enough for
them to decide that they should be married just

Language and Literacy
EDKL102 Assessment Task 1
Essay What is Language? What is Literacy? How are they different?
Teachers must have a sound knowledge and appreciation for language and literacy to
be able to make the two concepts a valuable part of a student s curriculum.
This essay will explore the importance of language and literature in a students
learning and how they assist in enhancing their development. Most importantly the
similarities and differences will be distinguished so that the relationship between the
two can be understood. Defining both language and literacy as different entities, but
also closely linked concepts, allows readers to bridge together their affiliation when

Vygotsky believed that by the time a child enters school, they use language not only
for communicative purposes, but also for thinking and planning (Daniels at el, 2007
pg.138).
Literacy is control of secondary use of language. It can be seen as being able to
apply language to use , function and control . We all use language everyday;
however literacy is the act of applying our knowledge of language. We use
language to produce a range of modes for different purposes and audiences.
Literacy is used to develop language and use it, for practical and purposeful
situations and work. There is little use for possessing the knowledge of language if
we cannot use and apply it in our everyday lives to gain knowledge and
understanding (Kervin 2010).
As educators, we must be aware that our knowledge of literacy and how we convey
it to our children is an essential and ongoing process that is constantly adapting.
The importance of applying the student s knowledge of language to literacy is
crucial as it plays a crucial part in a child s education, development and life skills. If a
child cannot apply their language skills to literacy they will find it

Porter s Value Chain is a chain of activities for a firm operating in a specific industry.
According to Lynch (2003) it can defined as the links between key value adding
activities and their interface with the support activities. The five primary activities
namely inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, marketing and sales and
service are more important in value adding process than support activities: firm
infrastructure, human resources, technology development and procurement, so focus
will be given to primary activities as they are crucial for distinguishing the strengths

Tesco is one of the largest food and grocery retailer in the world operating around
4,400 stores (Tesco, 2010). The business environment in which company operates is a
highly turbulent competitive segment, which according to political, social events,
performance of global economy and technology developments is constantly changing.
Pestel, SWOT, Porter s Five Forces are frameworks that can be used to discuss and
evaluate recent changes in Tesco external environment.
The waves of globalisation and privatisation have a great impact upon retailing
sector, which changed radically over last two decades. In the past Tesco could be
content to sell to a local or regional market and make a decent income. In today s
world all successful businesses are going global in order to maximise profits and take
advantage of untapped markets. The changes, except of globalisation aspects involve
advancements in technology, rise in competitive rivalry, political, legal issues and
marketing.
Technology is playing a vital role in the expansion of global retail. Consumers can
find most of the products they buy online, through various retailers, compare prices,
thus choose the best offer. Companies like Tesco must have a large online presence
if they want to be successful over a long period of time. Tesco must compete with
other retailers on price and/or try to provide benefits in other ways. This lead to

Cultural Values Of The Ojibwa Culture
The Ojibwa or known as the Chippewa in European are people of northeastern North
America. The term Ojibwa is said to mean the puckered moccasin people or they say
the French said the word meant pictograph. The Chippewa Indians mainly lived in
the Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and Michigan. There was 35,000 Ojibwaon
the continent in the mid seventeenth century. They used the word Anishinabeg to
describes themselves which means original people. The Ojibwa has its own
cultural values like honesty, generosity, endurance, wisdom, and strength of
character. All these values have been instilled through education and religious
practice. The tribe has had ties with the French and even helped the French fight
against the British in the French and Indian war. The French traders would even
wed Chippewa women. The family was of great importance to the Ojibwa tribes.
Each person in the Ojibwa family has its own role to ensure that things are done
correctly. In the Ojibwa community, the roles between males and females were seen
as complementary. The males would do the hunting and go to war if needed. The
men would also be the ones that do trading and negotiation with the Europeans after
the first contact. They usually hold leadership positions. Even though the society
was usually not as organized, there was still need for leaders. People would gain
rank as great warriors, religious leaders, and civil leaders. The most respected in the

Opinions and How to Deal with Stereotypes and
Disagreements
Obviously, people have a right to state their opinions. Opinions that may be
hateful; opinions that many would consider morally wrong; opinions that are the
fuel for stereotyping, discrimination, and the condemnation of things that shouldn t
be condemned. But it s a free country, right? So don t these people have the right to
say these terrible things, without repercussions? I have opinions on opinions, and
this paper is a great way to learn about them. To be brutally honest, most people s
opinions on most things do not matter, in some cases there is actually a right
opinion, and having the freedom to say what you want doesn t free you from the
consequences of what you say. First and foremost, your opinion is irrelevant. Here
s why. All my life I have heard people get into serious, heated debates over the
stupidest things. I know that doesn t always have to happen because any sensible
person would realize that it is much easier to quietly disagree, and I ve also seen
people do that. It s fine to share your thoughts on music or actors or novels or
whatever you please, as long as you understand that other people are not exact
replicas of you, and they will not like the same things. They might love something
you hate, deal with it. So if your cousin loves One Direction, and you can t stand
them, please don t disown her for it. It is literally hurting no one, it s not like she s
a cannibal or something. If she is, then I guess it s okay to disown her. Unlike a

Organizational Change Activities
Organizational Change Activities Change activities are healthy for an organization.
They keep it up to date and relevant within the market place. There are a number of
reasons as to why organizations need to change; essentially the organization is in
need of a change of because of external factors or a need for a change within the
organizational culture. External evolutions of technological and cultural factors can
all impact the success of an intended organizational change. Still, such change is
often needed to keep an organization healthy. Organizations engage in change
activities for a wide number of reasons. Overall, the main reason is to increase the
overall success of the organization, whether it is the operational flow or the
organizational culture itself. Essentially, organizations engage in change activities to
improve the ability of the organization to adapt to changes in the environment and to
change employee behavior (Robbins Judge, 2008, p 412). External factors can cause
an organization to need to revamp its internal strategies. Thus, external factors hold a
powerful role in why an organization would need to change. Additionally,
organizational culture can have a place in causing a need for change within an
organization. When how employees act and function fail to meet organization
strategies and objectives, a change is needed in order to intervene and generate a
greater sense of balance between the two. There are a number of factors that impact an
Dental Cost Essay
Topic: The Canadian government should cover dental costs
Thesis Statement: Dental care costs should be covered under the umbrella of
Canada s publicly funded health care system because oral health is linked to our
overall health, the current insurance scheme widens the gap between the rich and
poor, and the dire need for universal dental coverage is rather a major social and
health care issue that has to be acted upon by the Canadian government for the

Dental insurance coverage is a key determinant on whether to seek care or not. The
exclusion of our mouths from the rest of our body parts and not receiving the care
it requires is quite impossible to rationalize (McClymont, 2015). Dental care is
essential in the maintenance of good oral health and in the identification of
symptoms of systemic conditions that most likely are manifested through the
mouth. As striking and conspicuous as it may sound, Canada has indeed a type of
health care system wherein mouth is excepted as a part of the body. As a matter of
fact, our lips, tongues, and throats are securely covered while our teeth and gums
are left out from the privilege. The most common infectious disease in the world
are dental diseases, and the fact that many health issues can be first diagnosed
through the oral cavity validates its importance and co relevance to the rest of our
body. Studies have linked poor oral health such as severity of gum infection to
AIDS, first stages of osteoporosis, reveal nutritional deficiencies, immune disorders,
cancer, and so on and so forth. Xerostomia or dry mouth for an instance is often a
symptom of undetected diabetes. Diabetic patients have higher risks of gum
infection caused by increased blood sugar, thickening of blood vessels resulting to
hindered healing process that is why they are obligated to undergo pre medication as

She put her personal life at risk and got a divorce, but on the other hand lighted the
ways of hopeless students who had no chance but to sink in the negative waves of
racism and endless fights. The movie Freedom Writers presents a sensitive case of
students coming from low socioeconomic status, and different backgrounds having
to face being together in the same classroom in a time where the Latinos hate the
black and the black hates the white who hates both the Latinos and the black and
so on. In a time where everyone had to stand for their own , a white teacher chose
to be part of change, and to enhance her student s lives overcoming all racial and
identity problems, and the risk of getting shot every day. As a teacher, the mission
wasn t as smooth as it was supposed to be. If it weren t for her intelligence and
patience, she couldn t have done the work, and successfully reached her goal. In
this world, where facing diverse learners had become a normal thing, it is the

society, both students and the teacher will be exposed to an extra load of pressure,

Functionalist View on Crime
Sociologists who study Crime and Deviance examine cultural norms, how they
will or might change over time and how they are enforced. Deviance and social
norms vary greatly among different societies, communities and times. Crime is
considered an activity which breaks the immediate laws of the society an
individual is a part of. The nature that determines whether and act is one of crime
or deviance is clearly outlined by a set of formal laws which individuals are
expected to follow. Deviance on the other hand is behavior that is recognized as
violating expected societal rules and norms. It something more than non
conformity, however it s still regarded as behavior that significantly differs from
social expectation. Deviance is looked at in terms of group processes m definition
and judgments. An act of deviance might not always be seen as illegal however
are controlled through means of informal control such as social media, media,
schools, social groups. However in some cases acts that are seen as Deviant by one
group, are seen as acceptable and even desirable by others. Many sociologists have
attempted to find the reasons why this is the case and thus this has led to the
development of the; Functionalist, Marxist and, Strain and the Labeling theory. The
architect of the original functionalist view on crime was a sociologist by the name
of Emile Durkheim (1897). He reasoned that Crime was endemic to all societies in
the same way that suicide was ( it should be noted that
Rhetorical Analysis Of Let Them Eat Dog By John Foer
In the article, Let Them Eat Dog, Jonathan Foer sheds light on a controversial
topic, the consumption and breeding of dogs for food. Throughout Foer s article
he uses many different argumentative tactics in order to capture the reader s
attention on whether or not eating dogs should be considered morally. He uses
three emotional tactics to establish his credibility and prove he knows the topic.
The three tactics are ethos, pathos and logos Foer uses these three argumentative
tools to convey his message across not only to prove eating dogs is wrong, but to
take a stance on a bigger issue, the slaughtering of animals. One of the first
argumentative tools about Foer s article is his use of ethos, ethos is an ethical appeal

He first uses pathos when he talked about how many animals are euthanized each
year and how those animals are used for food (Foer). By using pathos it either
brings out the audience s sympathy or anger trying to convince them to make a
difference. In his article he is trying to appeal to the audience emotional side to
convince them eating animals is wrong. The second time he uses pathos is when
he talks about how the Hawaiians hold the dog s nose shut ¬¬in order to
conserve the blood (Foer). When he talks about other cultures traditions, he is
trying to show his readers how disgusting and horrifying other traditions are no
matter which animal is being killed. The third time he uses pathos in his article is
when he talks about a Filipino recipe. First, kill a medium sized dog, then burn the
fur over a hot fire (Foer). While reading this sentence most animal lovers would
feel horrified at the mental image running through their mind. His whole point of
using the Filipino recipe was to show people how other cultures use different
animals, but he mostly wanted people to see if the recipe called for chicken, cow,
or even horse most people would be okay with the recipe. Pathos is a good tool to
use in ones article because emotion is a good way to capture the audience to try and
make them take a stand on the issue at

Research
Topic: Anxiety and depression are often linked, experts say, as dealing with long term
anxiety can lead to depression, or one may feel anxious about their battle with
depression.
In order to talk about the link between Anxiety and Depression, there is a word that
must be discussed: comorbidity. According one paper, Comorbidity may imply
either the co occurrence of two or more disorders in an individual at a given time,
or the manifestation of multiple disorders during the lifetime of the individual.
(Seligman and Ollendick, pg. 125) Two disorders may be comorbid when there is
symptom overlap; when one underlying construct is split into two separate
disorders ; when disorders share risks, or when one disorder causes or increases the
risk of developing the second disorder. (S and o, pg. 125) People with comorbid
disorders are, typically more severely impaired than children with either disorder
alone. (1) However, there has only been a limited amount of research done on
individuals with comorbid disorders, as comorbidity often serves to exclude people
from entry. This paper with specifically discuss and expand upon the comorbidity
between anxiety and depression.
Anxiety and depression are highly comorbid disorders. In a study done about the
relationship between anxiety and depression, researchers found a group of 106
children who struggled with DSM III diagnosed anxiety disorder. Of those 106
children, 28% were found to have a comorbid depressive disorder.
African Slave Trade
1.A: Source B states that White indentured servants flourished concurrently despite of
the rise of African slave trade. Source B goes on to state that most American colonies
became dependent on Africans only after relying on white indentured servants and
Native American labour first. Some American colonies, the source writes, even never
used African labour. These are three facts the source lists to prove that Africanization
of slaveryin the Americas was not inevitable.
B: Source D is portraying the effect of Atlantic slave trade on Africa, Europe and
only North America. The cartoon depicts a pile of gold stacked on the continent of
Europe and North America, and African is shown to be dug up completely. The
message this cartoon portrays is that Atlantic slave trade helped North America and
Europe to become rich, and caused complete exhaustion of all the resources in Africa.
2: The origin of Source A is from History Today Magazine 1997, which was written
by John Geipel. Hence, this is a secondary source. John Geipel is an historian and
the author of several articles and books. The purpose of this source is to express
the author s view on the role and effect Africans had on Brazil economy. The source
outlines the role African had in Brazil, such as their role in sugar industry, mining
and in skilled professions in urban centers. The value of the Source A is that it is a
secondary source from an authority figure in this area of history. Another value is that

How Did Beatrix Helen Potter Impact Society
Beatrix Helen Potter wrote and illustrated over 28 books and 23 children s tales.
Her tales have been translated into more than 35 languages and more than 100
million copies have been sold. The biography of Beatrix Helen Potter is a
debatable topic that has numerous assumptions as to what her life was truly about.
With research and reviewing I can provide valid information for Beatrix s life story
for example Potter s childhood, her education, work experience, and honors and
awards. Helen Potter s restricted and isolated childhood led her to writing and
illustrating. Helen Beatrix Potter was born on July 28, 1866, in Bolton Gardens,

Rashomon Essay
Honoring and Rebelling Cultural Traditions in Rashomon Honoring and rebelling
cultural traditions is a common theme in many Asian stories. Rashomon by
Ryunosuke Akutagawa is one of these stories. In Rashomon , two characters, a
man and an old woman, both rebel against their cultural traditions and expectations.
The story takes place at the RashoГёmon, the largest gate in Kyoto. The author
purposely uses Kyoto to create a distinct and important mood for the story. The
declining RashoГёmon became a place for unnamed corpses and a hide out for
thieves. At the RashoГёmon, a man, recently fired from his job, goes to find a
place to stay while he thinks about becoming a thief. He then discovers an old
woman pulling out the hair of dead corpses. The man questions the old woman and
completes his first job at his new occupation. He robs the old woman and runs off,
never to be seen again. The man and the old woman both decide to live rebelliously,
showing the author s views on living a rebellious life. The author incorporates Kyoto
in Rashomon to prove his perspective on living rebelliously. One of the two
characters, an unnamed man, helps define Ryunosuke Akutagawa s perspective on
honoring and rebelling cultural traditions. In his past, the man seemed to be an...

Also, he most likely believed that it was okay to steal and sin in order to provide

Decision Systems And Human Computer Interaction Essay
On a warm evening after a busy day at the office, I fired up my Laptop to search Big
Bang Theory , to learn further about the famous theory. However, all my search
results were related to the sitcom. This was astonishing, nevertheless, I checked the
next page, the page after that, and so on. Surprisingly, not even a single result
pertaining to the intended scientific theory existed in the search result. Only after
appending the term science I arrived at the expected result. This made me ponder
about underlying intelligent systems at play, including the possible reasons for
search engine s failure to present the expected results. This incident was phenomenal
in transforming my way of thinking about recommendation systems and Human
ComputerInteraction.
During my senior year (B.E), my focus was mainly towards studying software
development and Intelligence in electrical systems (Smart systems). My
accomplished projects involved Integrated Smart Meters alongside Schneider Electric
and High Voltage Breakdown Automation sponsored by National Instruments which
seamlessly implemented Internet of Things. Both projects demanded learning new
programming suites as languages such as JAVA and LabVIEW. The more I worked
on smart systems, the more curious I was about Intelligence systems and their
interaction with humans.
With the help of an online course from Stanford on Artificial Intelligence systems, I
executed my first code on AI. When IBM conducted a national level programming
In This Essay, We Will Consider And Analyse The Effect
In this essay, we will consider and analyse the effect of Brexit upon the rights of
individuals as well as the effect it will have upon the competence of the devolved
Scottish government and its relationship with the UK.
Treaties, regulations and directives make up the European Union (EU) law. They
have a direct effect which means that they are directly implemented in United
Kingdom(UK) law. However, a Directive is binding to the result to be achieved,
upon each member state to which it is addressed, but shall leave to the national
authorities the choice of form and methods . The national law is legislated in a way
that gives effect to the directive. As a result of Brexit treaties and regulations will no

The charter was still carrying out its main role of reaffirming rights, but the UK did
not allow it to go beyond this power.
Leaving the EU would mean that the charter would no longer apply in the UK, as a
result a lot of our rights such as environmental protection, data protection etc would
be lost. Also, EU regulations and any future or unimplemented legislation cannot be
relied upon in UK courts. Therefore, any future improvements of fundamental rights
protection will cease to apply in the UK
As the UK has now left the EU the most important question is what will happen to
our rights. There is great uncertainty about this as it depends upon what path the
UK takes and what sort of contact it maintains with the EU. For example, if it joins
the European Economic Area (EEA) then the EU fundamental rights law will still
apply, this is because the European Free Trade Association has held that the
provisions of the EEA agreement are to be interpreted in the light of EU law.
Additionally, the remedies available under the EU law are wider than those under
the HRA 1998 because of the supremacy principle. The UK will have civil and
political rights, but it will lose a wide range of rights and there will be less remedial
options for violations. The Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex

Watership Down Quotes
In the downs of a small farm, two rabbits are preparing to flee their warren in order
to escape men come to kill them. Richard Adam s Watership Down follows these
two rabbits Hazel and Fiver as they gather a following and make their way across
the farmland to safety. The band of misfits looks to Hazel for guidance, and he
leads them to their haven: a warren atop the hills where the rabbits are safe and
sound. However, the need to keep the warren going pushes the rabbits to continue
exploring and find does in other warrens. While looking, they meet the Efrafa
warren. This warren is lead by General Woundwort, and immediately the two
parties are at odds with one another. The most noticeable difference is between the
leaders of the two warrens: Hazel and General Woundwort. Both Hazel and
General Woundwort are cunning; however, the leaders use their wits in different
ways. Hazel uses his wit for the betterment of his people, while General Woundwort
uses his to control and oppress his people. Some leaders are born into their
position, others rise to the occasion, and a small few seize the position themselves
the latter of the three describe both Hazel and General Woundwort. Their
motivation is what separates them. Hazel takes charge of his warren to protect
them, while General Woundwort climbs up the ladder of power using any means
available. In the beginning, Hazel s warren did not have a leader. It was merely a
band of misfit rabbits trying to leave their warren. Hazel proves himself a leader
when the Owsla, or rabbitpolice, come to arrest the rabbits that try to leave. After a
fight breaks out, Hazel steps forward to protect his brothers, Go, said Hazel, firmly
and quietly, Or we ll kill you (21). Hazel believes that if there is no way to get his
people out safely, then they will have to go out fighting. The instinct to protect and
fight for his people is how Hazel becomes the leader of his warren. His brave actions
make him becomes the Chief Rabbit of his warren. Hazel did not seek leadership, he
simply led. In contrast to this natural leadership, General Woundwort is more power
hungry and ruthless. He is the tyrant of his warren Efrafa. The narrator tells the story
of General Woundwort and how his

all those obstacles made me become strong both mentally and physically,

I lived in a small trailer home with my mom, dad, older brother and younger

Even though I loved that place, there were times when I noticed that my parents
would struggle financially and they wanted us to have more than a little home, they
wanted the best for us. There were also personal difficult obstacles we had to

they could, but I knew she was working lots of hours and going to class just to be
able to give us the life she thought we deserved. The same applies for my dad, I

Notes On Tax Taxation And Taxation
3.Source source double taxation. This is when both countries consider the source of
the income to be within their country. Tax treaties will provide rules for determining
the source of income. The source rules not only clarify in which country the income
originated and may be tax but also states that the country that does not impose taxes
must provide a relief from double taxation.
Economic double taxation is where the same income is taxed in more than one
country in the hands of different taxpayers. This can occur when associated
businesses are treated in different countries as having accrued the same profits. By
using an arm s length standard tax treaties can eliminate double taxation and tax

A resident business that is foreign owned can t have a larger tax liability than a
locally owned business. Tax treaty are used to discourage tax discrimination. They
prohibit a country from imposing a higher tax rate of a non resident with the same
circumstance as a resident. Both residents and non residents must receive the same
tax treatment. The non discrimination rules include all taxes and not just those which
are covered under the tax treaty. This rule eliminates the fear of being subjected to tax
discrimination.
Developing countries attempt to attract foreign investment by providing clear and
certain tax rules through tax treaty. Tax treaties will clearly state what the tax
obligations will be to the taxpayer/business, which will simplify tax issues for those
involved in cross border activates. Under the domestic laws tax treatment can
change frequently where tax treaties are generally valid for at least 15 years
therefore they provide more stability and comfort to taxpayers about the tax treatment

are also used to get tax administration to agree on how to interpret and apply
provision as well as resolve disputes. It is important that tax treaties are interpreted

We learned this when the author showed how in the beginning of the story, Tally
wanted to be just like everyone else; pretty. Westerfeld showed this on page 89, I
don t want to be ugly all my life. I want those perfect eyes and lips, and for
everyone to look at me gasp. And for everyone who sees me to think Who s that.
This shows that she would give anything to blend in with society. However, Tally
changed and became a better person by the end on page 267. She clutched the
pendant, squeezing in the unyielding metal until her muscles ached, as if forcing into
her own mind the almost unthinkable fact that she might really remain an ugly for
life. But somehow not ugly at all. She opened her hand and threw the necklace into
the center of the fire. This shows how much Tally changed because she didn t want to
be pretty anymore. She understood that it is okay to be different and she made the
decision that staying ugly is the right thing to do. She wanted to be
Computer Languages And Programming Frameworks
INRODUCTION Early accounting software was bespoke, painstakingly
handcrafted literally byte by byte over the course of months. While it represented
an obvious step forward from employing hordes of people chugging away on
adding machines and carrying stacks of paper all over the place, there was still a
great deal of room for improvement. As time passed, computer capacity grew to
enable the use of higher level development tools. These allowed people to define
and encode business rules without needing to understand everything down to the
basic wiring of the machine. True computer languages and programming
frameworks followed. Probably the first report generation language was developed
in 1959 for the IBM 7090 and known as 9PAC . At the time, storing and accessing
structured data on computers was still in its infancy, and some concepts from 9PAC
formed key parts of the development of early relational databases. Throughout the
1960s, companies invested in producing proprietary accounting systems tailored to
their particular requirements. Jobs would be run in batch mode, often overnight,
with only a select few permitted to see or access the computer directly (frequently,
this did not even include the programmers!) However, computers continued to grow
in capability, and the idea of building one generalized application with flexible
features which could be customized to each client s needs became reality in 1973
with the introduction of SAP RF. Over time SAP s product

  • 2. Pre Civil War Economic Changes To say the United States has changed since the conclusion of the Civil War is a major understatement. One could spend hours just discussing and analyzing the economic changes that have taken place and then some more connecting those to the social and political modifications. If one could invent a time machine and bring back a person from the Pre Civil War Era, he or she would not be able to begin to comprehend the changes that have taken place. In other words, the United States has changed to the point of being unrecognizable but only in certain areas and slightly changed in others. Yet, these national historical episodes are different for every individual and social group. For some, the changes have been largely beneficial from the very beginning... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As mentioned before, the judicial system was taken by force within this movement by making discrimination in certain areas unconstitutional. Yet, those court cases only took up one of three political branches and so many began to protest Washington and more explicitly the president, in order to involve the Legislative and Executive branches of government. The famous March on Washington comes to mind with the giving of one of the most recognized speeches titled I have a Dream spoken on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. With millions of people joining the ranks of the Civil Rights Movement from all walks of life and ethnic groups, Congress began to take notice. With the signing of the Civil Rights Act in 1964, a domino effect took place with more and more laws being made and changed. These legal act reinforced the fourteenth and fifteenth amendments which guaranteed human and voting rights to all people regardless of skin color (it was later extended with the passage of the nineteenth amendment in 1917 which gave woman of all races the right to vote). In spite of the initial weak execution of the aforementioned law, the momentum began to pick up alongside the already started Civil Rights Movement. Coupled with the assassinations of political and religious leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Robert Kennedy, the movement and law gained even more of a backbone. Though the influences would take decades to see, they were still there. The Civil Rights Movement led to the formation of political groups like the Black Panther Party who fought against racial injustice while promoting Black Excellence. Looking for a personal perspective, the political changes allowed me to have the opportunity to vote without persecution while maintaining my dignity as a woman and an African

  • 8. Biography of David Jenkins David Jenkins, a Christian Science writer, believes that God created planet Earth with a climate plan in mind. He references from the Bible to support his claims. Jenkins has a thought that just because God made something does not mean it was meant to be used up by man, but maybe to remain where it was originally placed. He explains that the high use of coal by people seems to be what is causing the increase in global temperatures and we need to reduce our need for fossil fuels by finding better alternatives to energy. Jenkins acknowledges that other parts of life are also being affected by such high temperatures like food shortages and water droughts. He believes that religion and nature go hand in hand to make the world work. Mr. Jenkins believes we need to respect God s design for our planet and take into consideration how it was intended to be treated. The article God s Climate Plan addresses several different reasons for David Jenkins way of thinking. The first reason is by taking oil and coal from the earth in large quantities and excessively burning these resources people are disturbing the natural balance of the planet. According to Sisters of the Holy Cross Congregation Justice Committee Our overuse of fossil fuels and rampant deforestation are overwhelming the earth s ability to absorb carbon dioxide thickening the greenhouse of gases shielding the planet and disturbing heat flows between earth and space. • 11. Animal Slaughtering Is The Killing Of Animals Animal slaughtering is the killing of animals; most of them domestic, and mainly for the purpose of human consumption. Many different types of animal slaughtering methods have been created such as; carbon dioxide, inert gas hypoxia, captive bolt pistol, gunshot, exsanguination, and many other that are not regulated. Such varying methods have evolved since the beginning of times, but with the increasing rates of the human population a faster way of slaughtering needed to be created in order to keep up. The question here is, have we, in our attempt to provide for the many, forgotten about ethical ways to kill those that are gifting us with their life? The problem we need to understand here is that many of these regulated methods are not ethical and cause suffering to the dying animal. Whether it causes them pain and distress even at low concentrations due to the carbon dioxide, broken bones due to shackling, massive damage to the skull and a shockwave which stuns the brain due to captive bolt pistol, or a slow and painful death if their sticking wound is inaccurately placed this methods need to be either reevaluated or vanished. It is not fair for animals to suffer and undergo horrible deaths just to satiate our hunger. When did we start forgetting how to take care of that that give us life? When did we start killing without mercy for the sake of our people? When did we forget to care for the minority in order to benefit the majority? According to historian

There are questions whether Macbeth s downfall might have displayed more for his own blame. In closer examination, it will be come apparent that Macbeth is more to blame for his downfall. After he was named King, Macbeth s misery and eventual downfall is caused by his own insecurities and misguided determination to take control of his future. The first of the two acts which lead to his downfall was the murder of Banquo. The prophecy of the witches reveal that Banquo s children will become kings. This leads to Macbeth s arrangement of Banquo s death, He hath a wisdom that doth guide his valour/ To act in safety. Minimum Wage Should Be Raised For A Better Standard Of Living Vamsi Sanagala Hannah Manshel Dec 15 2014 English 1 Minimum Wage Almost 3.3 out of 76 million workers in the US receive minimum wage (Source: BLS reports). Activists for raising the minimum wage claim that the federal minimum wage of $7.25 is the reason they are living in poverty, and that the wage must be raised for a better standard of living. Many people who take on minimum wage jobs are young and work in companies that don t carry much prestige; however, they still take pride in their work and demand higher pay (BLS reports). On the other side of the issue, there are claims that raising the minimum wage will actually have more drawbacks than benefits such as hurting the economy (Opposing Viewpoints). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These effects can be seen as a boost to the economy because those 28 million workers would make use of their extra money, and put it back into the ever flowing economy. This action by the workers would lead to an overall estimated 35 billion dollar increase (Cap Action). Raising the minimum wage would also help lessen the disparity of income that often occurs. I think many people can agree that some jobs pay way too much, as opposed to other jobs. By raising the minimum wage just a little, the workers can feel more needed and potentially increase productivity (Cap Action). People also believe that by ensuring a fair wage distribution, affluent people would have less trouble relating to poorer folk, and vice versa. Raising the minimum wage would reduce unemployment, which is a problem some 4% of Americans today suffer from (Pew Research). This statement is backed up by the fact that previous states that raised minimum wage have generally seen an increase in offered jobs (Cap Action). Raising the minimum wage would also minimally affect other prices of things, which would not lead to problems in the overall scheme of things (Cap Action). It is stated that the price of a CD would be raised by just one cent to compensate for a minimum wage increase. An increase would also let 3.5 million workers who use food stamps to be able to purchase their own food, which would not only help them, but also help the
  • 16. My Spiritual Autobiography Of My Life Spiritual Autobiography I often hear people say I knew I was called to preach the gospel or ministry is in my blood. For many years, even into adulthood, I thought ministry was only about preaching. I did not understand the depth of ministry until I became intimate with God. I realize that those who said they were called to preach are only seeking out a job because true ministry is a lifestyle. My spiritual journey began in early childhood. However, unlike many others who grew up as pastor kids, the long boring years I spent in church services deterred me from wanting to go into ministry. Even into adulthood, I went to church but that is all I wanted to do. I wanted to go to service, listen to the pastor, give my offering, say amen then go home and proceed with the rest of my life. In fact, this cycle and my view about doing ministry continued until my late 20s. As a seminarian looking back on my childhood, I discovered my family s church habits were the norm for people at that time. My grandmother did not believe women should to wear pants because they were things that pertain to a man (Deuteronomy 22:5) and the skirt should always be a modest length. I could not see it at that time, but, unknowingly, while I was grumbling and complaining about my clothes and the time we spent in church, the other believers were instilling biblical values in me that would manifest later in life. My relationship with God between ages 18 and 26 is similar to the people in the last

Thus, these two superpowers influence the decolonization process to achieve to their common goal: each state should be independent from any other form of power (Beyond empire and nation: Decolonizing societies in Africa and Asia 1930s 1970S, Amsterdam 2012). The couple even commits suicide in an attempt to reunite with each other. Even with the sacrifice made, there is no guarantee that their affection would last if they had not been victims of circumstance. As it stands, Romeo s age is not directly stated in the play, and it is arguable that he could be a variety of ages. Nonetheless, he is young as well, relatively close in age to Juliet. Being that these two are so young, they have not had as much experience as an adult has. Extreme hardships, working to earn their keep, and sustaining their own household are things that these two have not seen the likes of. Certainly, these experiences have a great potential to change them and their actions. Their judgements and views on life may be altered as a result of these. Lord Capulet even states that Juliet is a stranger in the world , implying that she does not know much about how things work. In conclusion, Romeo and Juliet are so young that their experiences are not significant enough for them to decide that they should be married just

The exclusion of our mouths from the rest of our body parts and not receiving the care it requires is quite impossible to rationalize (McClymont, 2015). Dental care is essential in the maintenance of good oral health and in the identification of symptoms of systemic conditions that most likely are manifested through the mouth. As striking and conspicuous as it may sound, Canada has indeed a type of health care system wherein mouth is excepted as a part of the body. As a matter of fact, our lips, tongues, and throats are securely covered while our teeth and gums are left out from the privilege. Deviance and social norms vary greatly among different societies, communities and times. Crime is considered an activity which breaks the immediate laws of the society an individual is a part of. The nature that determines whether and act is one of crime or deviance is clearly outlined by a set of formal laws which individuals are expected to follow. Deviance on the other hand is behavior that is recognized as violating expected societal rules and norms. It something more than non conformity, however it s still regarded as behavior that significantly differs from social expectation. Deviance is looked at in terms of group processes m definition and judgments. An act of deviance might not always be seen as illegal however are controlled through means of informal control such as social media, media, schools, social groups. However in some cases acts that are seen as Deviant by one group, are seen as acceptable and even desirable by others. Many sociologists have attempted to find the reasons why this is the case and thus this has led to the development of the; Functionalist, Marxist and, Strain and the Labeling theory. The architect of the original functionalist view on crime was a sociologist by the name of Emile Durkheim (1897). He reasoned that Crime was endemic to all societies in the same way that suicide was ( it should be noted that

By using pathos it either brings out the audience s sympathy or anger trying to convince them to make a difference. In his article he is trying to appeal to the audience emotional side to convince them eating animals is wrong. The second time he uses pathos is when he talks about how the Hawaiians hold the dog s nose shut ¬¬in order to conserve the blood (Foer). When he talks about other cultures traditions, he is trying to show his readers how disgusting and horrifying other traditions are no matter which animal is being killed. The third time he uses pathos in his article is when he talks about a Filipino recipe. First, kill a medium sized dog, then burn the fur over a hot fire (Foer). While reading this sentence most animal lovers would feel horrified at the mental image running through their mind. His whole point of using the Filipino recipe was to show people how other cultures use different animals, but he mostly wanted people to see if the recipe called for chicken, cow, or even horse most people would be okay with the recipe. Pathos is a good tool to use in ones article because emotion is a good way to capture the audience to try and make them take a stand on the issue at

According one paper, Comorbidity may imply either the co occurrence of two or more disorders in an individual at a given time, or the manifestation of multiple disorders during the lifetime of the individual. (Seligman and Ollendick, pg. 125) Two disorders may be comorbid when there is symptom overlap; when one underlying construct is split into two separate disorders ; when disorders share risks, or when one disorder causes or increases the risk of developing the second disorder. (S and o, pg. 125) People with comorbid disorders are, typically more severely impaired than children with either disorder alone. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The charter was still carrying out its main role of reaffirming rights, but the UK did not allow it to go beyond this power. Leaving the EU would mean that the charter would no longer apply in the UK, as a result a lot of our rights such as environmental protection, data protection etc would be lost. Also, EU regulations and any future or unimplemented legislation cannot be relied upon in UK courts. Therefore, any future improvements of fundamental rights protection will cease to apply in the UK As the UK has now left the EU the most important question is what will happen to our rights. There is great uncertainty about this as it depends upon what path the UK takes and what sort of contact it maintains with the EU. For example, if it joins the European Economic Area (EEA) then the EU fundamental rights law will still apply, this is because the European Free Trade Association has held that the provisions of the EEA agreement are to be interpreted in the light of EU law. Additionally, the remedies available under the EU law are wider than those under the HRA 1998 because of the supremacy principle. The UK will have civil and political rights, but it will lose a wide range of rights and there will be less remedial options for violations. The Human Rights Centre at the University of Essex

I want those perfect eyes and lips, and for everyone to look at me gasp. And for everyone who sees me to think Who s that. This shows that she would give anything to blend in with society. However, Tally changed and became a better person by the end on page 267. She clutched the pendant, squeezing in the unyielding metal until her muscles ached, as if forcing into her own mind the almost unthinkable fact that she might really remain an ugly for life. But somehow not ugly at all. She opened her hand and threw the necklace into the center of the fire. This shows how much Tally changed because she didn t want to be pretty anymore. She understood that it is okay to be different and she made the decision that staying ugly is the right thing to do. She wanted to be
  • 54. Computer Languages And Programming Frameworks INRODUCTION Early accounting software was bespoke, painstakingly handcrafted literally byte by byte over the course of months. While it represented an obvious step forward from employing hordes of people chugging away on adding machines and carrying stacks of paper all over the place, there was still a great deal of room for improvement. As time passed, computer capacity grew to enable the use of higher level development tools. These allowed people to define and encode business rules without needing to understand everything down to the basic wiring of the machine. True computer languages and programming frameworks followed. Probably the first report generation language was developed in 1959 for the IBM 7090 and known as 9PAC . At the time, storing and accessing structured data on computers was still in its infancy, and some concepts from 9PAC formed key parts of the development of early relational databases. Throughout the 1960s, companies invested in producing proprietary accounting systems tailored to their particular requirements. Jobs would be run in batch mode, often overnight, with only a select few permitted to see or access the computer directly (frequently, this did not even include the programmers!) However, computers continued to grow in capability, and the idea of building one generalized application with flexible features which could be customized to each client s needs became reality in 1973 with the introduction of SAP RF. Over time SAP s product

Other Services: Package holiday may include any of the following: transfers, services of a rep, car hire, equipment hire and excursions. Tailor made and Dynamic Holidays These holidays are also known as unpackaged holidays . Because of the aid of the internet, holidaymakers have the freedom to book their own accommodation, flight, transfer and car hire that would suit their specific needs. Because of tailor made holidays sales of tradition package holiday is greatly affected and travel agents are responding to this by selling more tailor made experience holidays rather than selling them as package holidays. A good thing about this holiday is that, they are flexible and more customised as they are chosen by the customers themselves. On the other hand, these holidays are usually more expensive than package holidays which could be a disadvantage. Ancillary Services These are the add ons that would make the holiday of clients more enjoyable and convenient. These could come as any of the following: travel insurance, travellers cheques, foreign currency, pre booked airline sears, airport car parking, passport and visa services and car hire.
