In our daily lives, we constantly try to store and retrieve information from our memory. Sometimes
the retrieval process is quite simple, while other times it seems to be almost impossible. An
experiment was done to investigate the effect of list position on free recall. The serial position
effect refers to the U shaped pattern presentation on a free recalltask. The accuracy of item recall

Results

It was hypothesized that participants will recall the last items most accurately, first items fairly
accurate and middle items the least accurate. However, the results of the curve could vary
depending on the memory strategies used and the order that the participant recalls the items. Most
often participants will recall the last few items presented first which would cause the latter end of
the U shaped curve to be higher. The result of the experiment was consistent with the hypothesis to
an extent. The results of the experiment demonstrate that the primacy effect is larger than that of

I thought to myself, hey, I like whales. I ve read stories about ships and pirates and stuff before.
This looks like something I might like. I can still smell the old paper and threaded binding
resonating in my mind as I opened the book and scrolled through the pages, soaking in the vibrant
illustrations of what would soon become my obsession for the next six months.
Happy with my selection and feeling fairly proud of myself, I take the book to the check out desk.

There was once time of prosperity and hope in this great nation. A time where it seemed that
nothing could go wrong and a time that America seemed to be on top of the world as a
powerhouse; however, by the late 1970 s, that time was no more. America went from an economic
powerhouse to a country struggling to survive. America went from the land of the free and the
home of the brave to citizens having no identity of patriotism following the Vietnam War. America

education secretary for Indian schools and reservations. But her true passion in life was studying

On the way, he picked up two books with settings based in japan. He gave me my first copy of
Memoirs of a Geisha. As I read the story, I was very confused with some of the words used and
