Essay On Mother Teresa For Kids
Crafting an essay on Mother Teresa for kids might initially seem like a straightforward task,
given the widespread admiration and recognition of her humanitarian work. However, upon
closer inspection, one realizes the challenges involved in tailoring the content to suit a younger
audience.
Firstly, the language used needs to strike a delicate balance between simplicity and conveying
the essence of Mother Teresa's life and accomplishments. Children may not have the same level
of vocabulary or historical context, necessitating the need for careful selection of words and
phrases to ensure clarity and comprehension.
Secondly, it is essential to capture the inspirational aspects of Mother Teresa's life in a way that
resonates with children. This involves translating complex concepts such as compassion,
selflessness, and empathy into relatable anecdotes and examples that young minds can grasp and
appreciate.
Additionally, maintaining the engagement of a younger audience requires creativity in presenting
the information. Incorporating visuals, anecdotes, and perhaps even interactive elements can
enhance the overall appeal of the essay. Striking a balance between educational content and
captivating storytelling is crucial to keep the attention of young readers.
Furthermore, addressing potentially sensitive topics, such as poverty and suffering, requires a
nuanced approach. The essay should aim to inspire children to empathize with others without
overwhelming them with the harsh realities of the world.
In conclusion, writing an essay on Mother Teresa for kids is a challenging endeavor that demands
careful consideration of language, content, and presentation. However, with the right approach, it
can be a rewarding experience, providing young readers with an accessible and inspiring
introduction to the life of this remarkable humanitarian.

Compare And Contrast Zoroastrianism And Judaism
One key element Zoroastrianism and Judaism share is a monotheistic view on
God. Both share in the belief that there was creator for everything, and this creator
has numerous names in both religions. While they may share this view,
Zoroastrianism also believes in a dualistic view for good and evil (pg. 229).
Zoroaster taught that two spirits stemmed from the creator Ahura Mazda. Whether
one chose to follow Spenta Mainyu the Beneficent Spirit, or Angra Mainyu the Evil
Spirit, determined their fate regarding heaven and hell. The afterlife is another key
element they share. While Judaism does not believe in a heaven or a hell, they do
believe in Sheol which is the place of the dead. Sheol is a place of darkness where

Similarities Between Ancient Greek And American Society
American Society and Ancient Greece
Ancient Greece believed that art is a depiction of the one s culture and individualism.
Ancient Greece helped shaped the world of today. We have many similarities with
ancient Greece today. Ancient Greece had three different column styles the Doric,
Ionic and Corinthian as a substitute wood for building temples. These three different
styles are still been used today in various mode like the Greeks.
Thanks to the Doric style a plain, simple column with a circle on the top of the
column, we can enjoy the benefits of sitting on our porches with roofs attached
protecting us from the elements. The porch on the Governor s mansion in Atlanta,
GA is another example of the Doric style. Ancient Greecebuilt temples ... Show more

The Corinthian style is used for contemporary furniture designs like my mother s
cherry wood high four posts bed with flowers etch in the posters. Many planners use
the Corinthian style columns for elaborate decorations particular in weddings today.
Another similarity, we share with ancient Greece is the love of sports rivalry
especially the Olympic Games. In 776 B.C., the first Olympic Games begin as an
achievement in art, ethical conduct and interaction of the mind in ancient Greece.
Today athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games. In spite of
the many new events such as bicycling, skating, gymnastics, swimming, soccer and
basketball, many of the earlier (ancient Greece) events such as footraces, jumping,
discus and javelin throwing, boxing, and wrestling are still a part of the today games.
As we mourned the recent loss of Muhammad Ali, boxing champion of the world to
many, continued the ancient Greece s tradition of carrying the torch to light the
cauldron during the 1996 Summer Olympics games in Atlanta, GA. The torch
remains lit until the conclusion of competition today as it did in ancient
Juvenile Delinquency Is Committing Criminal Acts Or...
Juvenile delinquency is committing criminal acts or offenses by a young person,
generally involving people under the age of eighteen. John Singletons, Boyz n the
Hood follows the lives of Tre Styles and Doughboy, two are African American
teenagers growing up in Los Angeles where these children are constantly exposed to
violence. At the beginning of the film, Tre is seen with a group of his friends talking
about the shooting that occurred in the neighborhood that previous night and they
even went as far as crossing the police like to get closer to the crimescreen. For their
age at the time, they were very educated about violence. When they go to school,
Tre is seen talking to his teacher by using inappropriate language that is very
disrespectful to her. While in class, Tre makes a statement about Africa and one
students disagrees with him so Tre begins to get violent both physically and verbally
attacking the student. At this point Tre is living with his mother, but due to the
flight in the classroom, and breaking a contract that he had with his mother to
behave, Tre is off to live with his father. Tre s father is Furious Styles, also referred
to as Laurence Fishburne, whose job is to teach Tre values and responsibility.
This film tells a story of three friends Tre, Ricky and Doughboy. Ricky and
Doughboy live with their mother in the same neighborhood with the absence of their
father, which is visible throughout the movie. Doughboy is a delinquent child and

Department of Agriculture P.O. Box 19281, State Fairgrounds Springfield, IL
62794 9281 Dear Mr. Flider, The colony collapse disorder has been threatening the
United States for many years. Reports show excessive numbers of honeybees
dying off. According to the Bee Informed Partnership and USDA s annual survey,
during the winter of 2013 2014, the mortality of managed honeybee colonies was
23.2. The previous winter s report showed a loss of 30.5 percent of the colonies and
thus, the winter 2013 2014 results might show some improvement. However,
beekeepers persist that the still declining honeybee colonies are becoming too low
for colony collapse disorder to be considered a solved issue. Approximately two
thirds of the beekeepers reported losses greater than the acceptable 18.9 percent
mortality rate, thus deeming the losses greater than what is economically sustainable.

Research areas studying the potential causes for the colony collapse disorder
include: effects of pathogens and parasites such as the fungi Nosema and the
varroa mite, pesticides such as neonicotinoids, environmental limitations and
resource availability. I would like to propose fundraising campaigns here in Illinois
for these studies. Most importantly, I believe we can make a difference by simply
making the public aware of the issues. I would like to propose a educational
campaign that, with your assistance, informs the public and beekeepers about the
issue of colony collapse disorder. This campaign will also urge the public to use
pesticides wisely and at times other than in the middle of the day when honeybees
tend to be foraging and pollinating and to grow pollinator friendly plants. Thank you
for you time. I hope that with your help we can get the larger public to become active

Hallucinogen Research Paper
Hallucinogen is a title commonly given to drugs that are mind altering. This
category of drug includes those which cause a variety of side effects, most
commonly temporary distortions to one s view of reality. Hallucinogens are
commonly used for recreation, along with in some cultures as religious practices (
What Is A Hallucinogen? ). The most common hallucinogens are LSD, Psilocybin,
Peyote, and DMT. All five of these are plant based substances ( Hallucinogens ).
They also each fall under the classification of an alkaloid. Alkaloids are commonly
found in plants, and have not been proven to serve any specific purpose among
plants. Alkaloids can vary in structure, but always have a nitrogen atom as part of a
structure similar to that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I personally believe that use of hallucinogens has already become fairly socially
acceptable. I feel that my generation is very open minded and is less likely to
condemn others for controversial choices than older generations. I feel that it
should be socially acceptable, because everyone makes their own choices. If
someone is choosing to use hallucinogens on their own time for recreation, and they
are not hurting anyone else in the process, there is no reason they should be
shamed for that choice. They understand the consequences of their own actions, and
can therefore be mature about it and deal with said consequences. At the same time,
those who use hallucinogens as a religious rite, such as some southwestern native
american tribes do, should not be frowned upon. Christians consume wine in
church as part of the eucharist. Nobody tells them that because alcohol is harmful
to the human body, they should not do it. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone
else to condemn religious groups for using hallucinogens. Everyone has the
capability to make their own choices, whether for recreation or for religious
reasons. If no one is forcing a sheet of blotter paper onto one s tongue or putting
peyote in someone else s tea, I see no problem with use of hallucinogens from a social

Background Majority of animal s posses an organ that function as a center for
coordination for multiple activities that include, but are not limited too, intellect,
sensation, and neural activity. The brain is composed of billions of neurons that,
which is a type of cells that has a main function to transmit information from one cell
to another. The information that is transferred helps perform different actions,

different information is initiated by electrical activity and is present during the

the image being viewed has the most going on in it because it will require more
work from the brain to realize what eyes are looking at. Lastly, for the electrical
stimuli portion the brain activity will be highest for the trial that has the electrical
stimuli being applied to the most sensitive spot, of the spots being tested, because
more pain receptors will be activated meaning more neurons in the brain will respond.

Nature Is Power In Frankenstein
In the novel, nature and natural things are in conflict with science and Victor
Frankenstein s visions of reincarnation. In his early years, nature is Frankenstein s
happy place and in his later years, to be outside is how he keeps his sanity.
Frankenstein sees nature as a safe space because of his parents and how he was
raised. His only truly good memories are at the lake and in the mountains. After the
Monster has killed everyone close to him, the only thing that sustains Frankensteinis
nature. Even though Frankenstein feels like all the deaths are his fault; he feels
safe and has a sense of hope when in nature. His feeling of sadness and guilt is
restored when he visits Lake Como and is put back in a peaceful state. The author

As a kid Frankenstein wanted to learn every piece of detailed information about

Frankenstein left his family after the terrible death of his mother, Elizabeth
Frankenstein, to go forth to Ingolstadt and strengthen his love for school. This was a
major turning point in the novel and showed Frankenstein s true passion. It was here
that Frankenstein rejected nature and natural ways in favor of science. Early on in
his career he fell in love with the idea of reincarnating a human being. He then began
to close off the world and all communications with his family. He stopped to realize
the beauty in the nature and truly wanted to go against the flow of nature. Once
Frankenstein achieves his dream of reincarnating a human being, nature punishes
Frankenstein with this Monster he has created. The Monster is rejected in his early
stages of his reincarnated life and that causes the Monster to become aggressive and
have a hate for mankind. The Monster harms everyone Frankenstein cares about.
Frankenstein turns to nature but is rejected because of the creature he made and how
he disrespected nature. By the end of the novel Frankenstein rejects both nature and
Bulb Berry Company Case Study
In our opinion, the first alternative to this issue, since the medical advice said that
there are no prediction how and when Mr. Raja will recover from the illness that
struck him, is to get Mr. Raja to work on a retainer basis. Firstly, what is a retainer?
According to Contractor Calculator, a contracting website, a retainer is typically a
regular payment by the employee to an individual to be on standby (Contractor
Calculator, 2012). Therefore, if he were to work on a retainer, his service and he
will be put on standby, pending any instructions. This means that he does not have
to be in office in the regular working hours, instead, he can be at home, and on
standby pending any instructions. With a retainer, the employee can access the
skills and experience of the employee on demand, or a certain period of time,
whichever Mr. Raja and Bulb Berry Company agreed upon. By doing this, the pay is
steady. If there are sets of conditions are met between Bulb Berry Company and Mr.
Raja is agreed upon, the income will be flowing steadily (Ewer, 2013). Which is also

Violence And Sexual Assault And Violence Against Women
Intro
Throughout history especially within recent years there has been a major rise of
sexual assault and violence against women. This is prevalent within college
campuses, within work, the military, within family households and nearly all parts
of society there is no getting away from it. It is truly a shame and a wretched part
of society. However, this needs to be brought to light. This can no longer be avoided
and society needs to come together as a whole, in order to stop this. Throughout this
essay we are going to go over the statistical background of violence and sexual
assault towards women, sexual assault on college campuses, the emotional abuse of
those affected, and why Victims don t come forward. Then a step by step
breakdown of how we can rid society from these unacceptable acts of violence and
sexual assault towards woman. Before exploring the deeper aspects of violence and
sexual assault towards woman, it s important to have a historical foundation and
statistics.
Background statistics
Within the United states the National Sexual violation and resource center has
conducted in depth statistics pertaining to sexual violence. These Statistics indicate
that one in five woman will be raped within their life time(NSVRC). If this isn t
evident enough that that our society is having a major problem, then compare it to
one in 71 men are raped at some point in their life(NSVRC). Although many of us
believe that within our own sanctuaries at home and at work that they
The Devil And Tom Walker Satire
The Devil and Tom Walker Theme Analysis
Often, society is corrupt, and as a result, there are some people who try to change it
through the use of satire. A satire is a literary device in which traditions, institutions
and people are ridiculed with the purpose of improving society. Within the satire,
The Devil and Tom Walker, Irving discusses and illustrates the themes of greed,
religion and manipulation in order to improve society and teach the reader a moral
life lesson.
The first major concept being displayed within this satire is greed. Within the town
of Charles Bay lived a miserly, meager fellow named Tom Walker. He has a wifeas
miserly as himself that they even conspired to cheat each other (Irving 18 19). Even
though they were married, and should have shared their wealth with each other, Tom
and his wife were so full of greed that they would constantly plot to steal each other s
possessions. Then, when Tom shared his secret of meeting with the devil... Show

When Tom becomes old, he decides to become a devout, zealous Christian in order
to cheat the devil of the bargain. However, he still continues his unethical business
practices. Because he was afraid that the devil would take him anyways, he carried
a small bible in his coat pocket. In a way, he believes he can still be saved by
hiding behind religion but keeping his wealth at the same time. Tom is proven
wrong when a land speculator accused Tom of making money out of him, and Tom
replies, The devil take me if I have made a farthing (Irving 315 316). Tom gave no
sympathy whatsoever to the speculator, despite being a devout, violent churchgoer,
so the devil came to take Tom when Tom least expected it. Overall, Tom s attempt of
hiding behind religion does him no good, and this serves as an example of what
happens to hypocrites who act pious and are too busy pointing out the sins of others
that they do not notice their own
Criticism Of Piecemeal Social Engineering
the state from the ground up. It is radical. Piecemeal social engineering, however,
does not have the same idealized society as the end point, or at least, sees it as
something in the far distance. Piecemeal is far less risky, for several reasons that
Popper points out in his critique. Firstly, because piecemeal social engineering
looks at solving the most urgent evils of society, and not just trying to get rid of all
of them, with the goal of creating a heaven on earth, it is a method that can be
applied to at any moment (Popper 148). Small changes that improve happiness is
much easier to do than trying to fully eliminate suffering. An example of this type of
improvement would be call centers for parents with sick children. This would allow
the parents to call and get support from a registered nurse or doctor, without having
to wait in long lines at the hospital, or adding to those long lines. Piecemeal is about
solving issues that are occurring right now, and by doing that, is bettering society.
This also makes this method faster that utopian, which takes generations for the
blueprint to be seen though, instead of smaller aspects being fixed right away. There
are many other issues that are connected to the long timeframe of utopian social
engineering takes. Popper points out that making a heaven on earth is not something
that can be done in one or more generations. The leader who starts the plan, will not
be the same one there when the state finally reaches the final
The Creature In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein

Creature in Mary Shelley s Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus needs a

The Creature in Marry Shelley s Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus is not a
human because it came to the world in unnatural and some sort of disgust way.
Also the Creature did not have a normal human way of developing. No father had
watched my infant days; no mother had blessed me with smiles and caresses. What
was I? (Mary Shelley, Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus , page 88) This
example demonstrates that the Creature did not have a normal human life, because
the Creature is not a human, the Creature is a monster. He is a monster not only
because he looks like one, but also he acts like one. He is monster because people
treat him like one and the most important that the Creature considers himself as a
monster. Victor Frankenstein should not create a bride for the Creature because it
would be repeating the same mistake. Giving a life to the Creature was a mistake.
...Hateful day when I received life... (Mary Shelley, Frankenstein or the Modern
Prometheus , page 88) The Creature many times has said that his creation was a
mistake. His unnatural birth has brought nothing positive, only lots of
disappointments. His creator admitted that should have not created a life in this
irresponsible way. The Creature just exists, he does not live and the Creature is not
happy about it. Other people feel nothing to the
Jack And Ralph Debate
Above all else, I would like to admit that both Jacks and Ralphs did quite well in their
debate and it is hard for me to decide who is going to be the winner. Even though I
would like to have two groups champion debaters, it is impossible for us to do that
because of odd amount of votes we got.
The debate started from Jack accuse Ralph of ineffectual leadership. Things went on
worse as Ralph accuse Jack of being negligent. Opening statement was hold at first.
Tiger and Alice claimed that Jack has the authority of being a leader which does not

he said who cares in response to Ralph s speaking rule. It definitely shows the
dispersant personalities Jack owns. I think Ralph answers better on this question even
though they have some unsuitable statement. As for the fourth question, both group

thought himself treat Piggy better than Jack because he only ignores Piggy

Brutus As A Hero In Julius Caesar
Is killing a man to achieve glory the right thing? In William Shakespeare s play
Julius Caesar, Caesar is murdered by a group of conspirators. Brutus is tricked by
the group and is persuaded to murder Caesar with a dagger. The conspirators wrote
notes anonymously and threw them into Brutus s room while he was sleeping to
try to persuade him. Brutus thought the city wanted him to be leader. But does that
still give Brutus a reason to Kill his best friend to gain royalty? Many people view
Brutus as a villain and many others view him as a hero. The group in the middle
viewed him as a mistaken man. Here s why.
Many who have read or seen Julius Caesar view Brutus as a hero. Brutus did claim to
save Rome and get the people out of their situation but was killing another man to
accomplish that the right answer? Brutus says Let s all cry, Peace, Freedom, and
Liberty ! (Shakespeare scene 1. 3. 110) This is cried out directly after Caesar is
murdered. With that being said the people of Rome that were relieved of their
struggles would have been grateful and wouldn t see the wrong in his deeds.
Brutus was very passionate about Rome and wanted the best for his city. He says
Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more .(Shakespeare 2. 3. 8) This
would be an honorable quote that could prove brutus is a noble man if he didn t
murder caesar who he claimed to love almost as much as Rome. I do believe Brutus
had the right intentions and did truly respect Rome and want the
Government Spying On You Without Permission
Do you ever want the government spying on you without permission? This is what
the Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S) is doing to you because of an act
that passed 45 days after the 9/11 attack. The Congress had to rush the act since they
fear more attacks will happen, and was quickly passed without votes. In fact,
homeland security is against our civil liberties (personal freedom). My partner and I
believe that homeland security in the United Statesshould be controlled by the
government because it is against a lot of amendments in the Constitution, and popular
sovereignty (citizen s power).
On the other hand, my opponents might say homeland security sacrifices privacy
for better protection and safety, but in my opinion it is cheating to go through
records without any permission by a guardian or the court. In the United Kingdom,
the government has a law called Do not spy on us which is using the parliament to
stop power on spying citizen s records, this is a great example to the U.S . It also
recommend to have a secure internet for the U.K and to have transparent laws not
secret laws. Also, my opponent might say homeland security is preventing acts of
terrorism and improving their protection since the 9/11 attacks, but in my opinion, the

The Emergency Management Profession
The emergency management profession has developed the concept of the disaster
cycle as a basis for disaster management. The disaster cycle has four distinct yet
interrelated phases: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. The concept
of the cycle implies an ongoing process in which communities, businesses, and
individuals plan for and reduce potential disasterlosses. Historically, emergency
managementprograms have focused heavily on the preparedness and response
phases, leaving limited resources to address the recovery and mitigation phases. This
research paper will discuss the basic goals of post disaster hazardmitigation and
identify areas of concentration when developing strategies and making
recommendations towards reducing and eliminating the impact of future disaster
events through a post disaster redevelopment plan.
Although not all communities encounter disasters, it s important to note that all
communities are vulnerable to disasters and should prepare accordingly. North
Carolina had 43 major disaster declarations between 1965 and 2012 (FEMA, 2014).
Of those 43 disaster declarations, 16 followed hurricanes and three were due to
tropical storms. The remaining declarations were categorized as severe storms,
flooding, tornados, or a combination thereof. In addition, seven winter weather events,
one abnormally high tide event, and four wildfires also resulted in major disaster
declarations.
Coastal storms are by far the most common disaster in North
Taking a Look at Imaginary Companions
The article, Imaginary Companions, Creativity, and Self Image in Middle Childhood
by Eva Hoff investigates four questions: First, whether there is a relationship between
imaginary companions and creative potential; second, whether children with negative
self images are more likely to have imaginary companions; third, whether there are
gender differences among those children who have imaginary companions; and,
finally, what aspects of imaginary companions and what characteristics of those who
invent them are related to creativity(Hoff 2005).
The measurements used were a questionnaire about imaginary companions, 3
estimates of creative potential, and a self image inventory. The participants were 69
fourth graders (35 girls and 34 boys) in six classes at three Swedish schools, with
somewhat different demographic profiles, but with the majority from middle class
homes. A subgroup of 26 children (16 girls and 10 boys), comprising all children
with imaginary companions from four classes, were given a more thorough
questionnaire and interviewed about their companions. In the second wave of data
collection, when an imaginary companion questionnaire was given to the children,
two classes from the original sample dropped out because their teachers could not
spare that extra time.
In this study the variables are creativity, self image, gender, style of defense,
identification patterns, waiting ability, and creativity. Half of the fourth graders in
this study reported having

Furthermore, in 2014 British Social Attitudes Survey asked people about what is the

The recent policy regarding the Right to Buy propose to increase the discount
under the Right to Buy scheme. This allows social tenants purchase their home at
discounts of up to 50% of the value of their home, making home ownership more

contribution to increase home ownership. There is an increase in the list number

has been one of the key drivers in recent changes in the UK housing system. The
aim is making the housing system more affordable, for people on low income to be
able to afford to buy their social housing and become home owners (Pattison, 2010).
The increase demand of council housing of people with low income has brought

Superman
The History of a Legend: Superman
Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall
buildings in a single bound! It s a bird! It s a plane! It s Superman! (Bridwell 11)
These celebrated words have echoed for over six decades in American cultural and
social society. Created by Jerry Siegel and Joseph Shuster, Supermanwas intended to
fight greed, crime, injustice and abuse. The impact created by Superman, or better
known to the average man as Clark Kent, extends far beyond the comic book itself.
Although many have grown to love him for the courage he represents, the

Wright, the introduction of Superman into American cultural was brought about by
the need of young Americans to feel a connection with the common man . But
instead, the connotation created by Superman strays far away from the notion of an
ordinary man. By allocating the name Superman, he is connected to something that is
god like and un human. Dennis Dooley and Gary Eagle present the argument that
Superman achieves truly mythic stature, interweaving a pattern of beliefs, literary
conventions and cultural traditions of the American people more powerfully and
more accessibly than any other cultural symbol of the 20th century. But this mythic
stature created a culture that allowed its followers to question nature and its power
and allowed for the establishment of beliefs that were detrimental to the natural order
of the world. Even Steve Skelton, the author of The Gospel According to the World s
Greatest Superhero presents the fact there is a parallel between Superman and God.
Have Siegel and Shuster gone too far? The cultural and social superhero of Superman
was one that was intended to attract those who felt disconnected from the American
world in which they lived. But, as time would tell, this action figure would translate
into an omnipotent entity. Although most Americans look up to the Clark Kent
disguised as his super self, there are several blurry implications that remain at the
surface of these comic books. By assuming the name Superman,
John Wesley Beliefs
As John Wesley continued to struggle with is belief and what he thought to be the
true theology he gained insight from a variety of people. It was on the ship to
America that John first encounter the German Moravians. It was during this trip that
John began to question his beliefs because he realized he was scared to meet his
creator. Yet, he noticed during the times on the ship when people were afraid for
their lives that the German Moravians seemed to be calm as they huddled together
singing psalms. When John returned to London, he had achieved a bit of a high
profile. This was associated with him being an Anglican priest and the fact that he
had traveled to America. John, however, felt his trip to minister to the Indians and

This band later became known as the Fetter Lane Society. Later, Wesley referred to
this band as the third rise of Methodism. When Bohler left London, Wesley became
a potential leader of the society. Membership grew quickly within a few days.
Among others, who were experiencing the assurance of faith, John did not. When
Charles felt a strange palpitation of heart This put John into a state of continued
sorrow Eventually John also received his assurance of faith. Prior to John s
assurance of faith, Bohler spoke harsh to Wesley telling him his last of faith was
truly no faith. Bohler encouraged Wesley to do a great deal of critical thinking.
Wesley took careful notes on the Moravian organization, However, over time he
began to question some of their practices. John knotted that he found errors in several
of their practices. These faults included, the neglect of fasting, the magnification of
their church and their leader, a tendency toward levity, a spirit of secrecy, the use of
cunning, guile, or dissimulation thus, resulting in John feeing they were falling short
of the apostolic Christianity he had been exposed to. This lead to Wesley to once
again think critically about this theology and belief

Introduction to Software Maintenance and Change Control Process
Software maintenance process is a topic that probably comes up in most
organizations and is an important one to address. Once software is created there are
usually changes or bugs that are found causes there to be a need for maintenance. It
is important to have a process in place that helps to define how these items are
handled and the path they take to completion. Using different tools to log these
changes, requests, or bugs will is important to keep things organized and allows for
proper tracking of these items.
As part of Software maintenance there is another aspect called change ... Show more

Utilizing programmers on an as needed or project basis allows the company greater
flexibility of their programming resources, once again allowing them to conserve
precious talent for only the most critical issues.
The third tier of the software maintenance plan is management. Management works
in tandem with both of the previous layers. For instance there may be a technical
support supervisor who makes the final decision about escalation to the
programming team. This person serves as the liaison between the two teams to
insure that the issue is communicated, fixed, and ultimately resolved for the user.
On the programming team a project manager or lead programmer may be in charge.
This person s job is to prioritize pending escalated issues from the technical support
team as well as company requested modifications to the program. This person is
often times the head of the programming team and may report directly to the systems
manager or IT manager. Above the lead programmer you have the IT department
manager. This person s job is to monitor the IT department s day to day operations to
insure that it is effectively and efficiently supporting the company s customers.
Training Companies spend millions of dollars a year supporting customer or user
bases that are not educated in the proper way to operate their programs. By
developing a training program for the customer/user the company can greatly

Frankenstein As An Experimental Error
Frankenstein was the type of mad scientist who would isolate himself in a
laboratory, secretly creating another human life, only to discover he created a
monster (Haynes, 2006). The Frankenstein story was a product of the subconscious
rather than the conscious mind of its own author (Haynes, 2006). The monster
replied to the beauties of nature, to the joys of domesticity and ideas of excellent
novels (Haynes, 2006). The monster had both an alter ego and even denied that he
had a child while married to Elizabeth (Haynes, 2006). According to the novel
Frankenstein is known as the innocent victim of a mistake and his careless
supporter has brought him the brain of a murderer instead of a dignified person, for
inserting into his creature (Haynes, 2006). The evil character of the Monster is now
considered an experimental error, rather than the predictable result of Frankenstein s
hubris, and the allegation is that the creation of the Monster (Haynes, 2006). The
film ended with the Monster being burnt to death and the celebration of
Frankenstein s wedding to Elizabeth (Haynes, 2006). The film focused on the fact
that the creation of the Monster was possible only because Frankenstein would let
his normal, healthy mind become filled with evil and perverted thoughts (Haynes,
2006). When the monster eventually fades away, it leaves only his reflection in the
mirror (Haynes, 2006). The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is about a

Essay on The Truth of Love Revealed in Adam’s Curse
The Truth of Love Revealed in Adam s Curse
Adam s Curse is a poem by William Butler Yeats that was written at a time when his
first true love, Maud Gonne, had married Major John MacBride. This may have
caused Yeats much pain and Yeats may have felt as cursed as Adam felt when God
had punished man from the Garden of Eden. This poem, in fact, symbolizes his pain
and loss of love that he once had and is a recollection of his memories during happier
times with Maud. In the beginning of the poem We sat together at one summer s end

He is definitely using a parallel to describe his poetry and his short time with
Maud. He believes that falling in love with Maud is so similar to the hard work he
puts into the poems he writes. If one were not too look into the poem they would in
fact miss this entirely. Yeats then begins the next part of the poem quite literally. He
recalls a conversation he has with Kathleen, Maud s sister. She is speaking of
beautiful women, and how beauty is not achieved easily. Beauty is not as natural as
many people think.
This beauty blinds a man, just as Yeats was by Maud. Yeats thought Maud was
beautiful and did not see the flaws until now. It is sad, because Yeats now realizes,
there is no fine thing , just as God has cursed men, he has done the same to women.
He is sure that there is neither a perfect romance nor a perfect woman. He states
that it must be labored as the rest of life. Yeats speaks of the traditions that he
followed to court Maud. Men have laid out the laws on how to fall in love, and he
followed these lessons. These traditions now seem frivolous to him, since he doesn
t care anymore. They did not work for him and he lost his love. He is kind of angry
that he was foolish enough to believe they would work. He realizes that love is not
an organized process and it, once again, requires
Wound Care Education
Wound Care Education
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify a patient health issue that would benefit from
patient education. During the clinical rotation at Jackson South the group identified
a need in wound care especially for patients with other underlying health issues such
as diabetes. A large percentage of patients had wounds that would require patients to
properly care for them once discharged. The group identified a lack of patient
knowledge on how to care for these wounds and decided to develop a patient
education pamphlet to teach patients how to care for wounds while not in a hospital
setting. The group identified one particular patient that had insufficient knowledge in
self care.

healing as well as managing his blood sugar since he s diabetic. Since he is
diabetic and is susceptible to loss of sensation and circulation, it is important that
he wears loose shoes and shoes that protect the toes from friction and hitting
objects. Mobility is also a significant factor (Heller, 2014). If J.G. cannot get out of
bed and walk a round, it is important for his daughter to turn him ever 2 hours to
avoid pressure ulcers from forming. J.G. has a history of wound infection. If there is
any presence of pus or bleeding, excessive pain, or odor, the wound may be infected.
It is essential that J.G. and his daughter know what signs may indicate infection and
that they call their health care provider if infection is suspected. If infection develops
it can have a great impact on the wound healing process and can lead to
hospitalization (Grothie amp; Ousey, 2014). This can lead to chronic wounds.
Chronic wounds are slow to heal and take over 6 weeks. Chronic wounds might
need a referral to a wound clinic. A wound clinic will help the patient develop a
healing plan and monitor the size and progress of the wound. In part of patient
education it is important to refer to additional resources outside of the hospital setting

Female And Female Gender Roles
Literature throughout history has displayed to us the evolution of the male and
female gender roles in society. Women have been described as the angel in the
house, whilst men are typified as dominant and prevailing in comparison to women.
The gothic genre in literature is used to personify and exaggerate these stereotypes,
by using gothic motifs such as dream sequences and themes such as horror and
terror. Not only does the gothic exaggerate the stereotypes, but it also allows them to
be contravened, due to the transgressive nature of the genre. The psychoanalytical
aspect of this genre, allows for repressed desires to be made eminent and therefore
characters can transgress and in the process, cross their contemporary gender
boundaries. Keats uses the gothic device of Negative capability in order to conceal
the transgression of the females in his poetry, Carter revised gothic fairytales in
order to display them from a feminist approach and Stoker uses gothic themes, set
against the backdrop of the fluidity of Fin de siГЁcle period, to allow characters to
stray from their gender stereotypes.
Victorian women were supposed to be both selflessly devoted, to their children and
submissive, to their husbands, according to Coventry Patmore. However due to the
trepidation of sexual mayhem that arose during the nineteenth century, society
retaliated by recoiling from the idea of a woman having any sexual emancipation.
This response was typical of the Fin de SiГЁcle period and
Monarchy In Canada
opposed point of view If Canada were to end all ties with the British Monarchy we

democracy allows all eligible citizens to be involved equally with the creation of

equality in religion, culture, social groups, justice, liberty and racial areas. Paul
Heinbecker says in an article that has grown to be quite popular that, It would

Jefferson, is caught in the middle of a liquor shootout, and as the only survivor is
convicted of murder and sentenced to death. During Jefferson s trial, his attorney

planned a crime like this. Having heard this, Jefferson s godmother, Miss Emma,
calls on the local schoolteacher, Grant Wiggins, to visit Jefferson in prison and help

Despite this, Grant unwillingly agrees to help and begins visiting Jefferson in
prison. After several visits and no progress, one night Grant talks with Vivian and
expresses to her that he is wasting his time and that they should escape this town
together. However, nearing the end of the book, upon buying Jefferson a radio,
Grant realizes that he has been too focused on what he wants, and decides that
contrary to what he believes he can help Jefferson, and the town he lives in (Gaines
180). Because Grant has two equally compelling desires, although not compelling in
the same way, to choose between, the choice he does make is magnified because of
the conflict within himself. This conflict not only helps reflect on Grant s
development as a character, but even more stresses the books theme of assuming
responsibility. Through Grant s actions it is easy to see he is not comfortable with
his life. He lives in a small, racially discriminated and prejudiced town, and is a
college educated man treated like a man who hasn t finished elementary school.
Adding Jefferson s situation on top of all that, it is easy to see how Grant desires to
simply give up and run away with the love of his life, Vivian. But Grant realizes that
the issues at hand are bigger than just him; the way Jefferson dies will have a lasting
impact, much like Christ s crucifixion, on the local community. He understands that

Jonathan Swift s True Purpose

MYP English 2 20 November 2014
Jonathan Swift s True Purpose Happy adventure tale, wonderful children s book,
filth, and absurd were just a few words that people during the 17th century used to
describe Gulliver s Travels. During the 17th century there was a period of new
ideas and creativity; that period was called the Reformation. The Reformation
period was a time of change for how people interpreted the world around them. The
opinions of Gulliver s Travels were based off of interpretations of the book, the
interpretations were not always correct; therefore, the opinions were not correctly
informed. Swift was specifically committed to the Protestant idea, that man is sinful
by nature. ( Novels for Students 83). Jonathan Swift s Gulliver s Travels uses satire to
critique the human condition. Swift uses his satire to create a world where he
displays all of the ways humans can and have acted towards others. Swift examines
the human condition through the Lilliputians, Laputans, Brobdingnag, Houyhnhnms,
and the Yahoos. Some people misread the book and that is why there are uninformed
negative opinions towards the book. The people that misunderstood were offended,
after discovering it is not a simple adventure tale, but a tale about the unfavorable
side of a person. These people called the book horrible, shameful, and
Social Equality And Political Freedom
A) It is unsurprising that social equality and political freedom are positively
correlated with environmental protection and sustainability. This is observed as as
environmental problems bear down disproportionately upon the poor, who do not
share the same equalities and freedoms as others (Agyeman et al., p. 1). This
relationship exists due to increased political power enjoyed by the wealthy and
required corporate profit maximization for shareholders. Political power and
voracious desire for profits is a dangerous combination. Put together, these two
components form a positive feedback loop because the wealthier someone becomes,
the most political power he/she gains. This relationship results in facilitated cost

(Agyeman et al., p. 6). This report serves as further evidence of the environmental
injustices faced by minorities who do not have the power to face the corporations
who own the hazardous waste facilities. It is laughable to think of what would occur
if such a facility was proposed in Beverly Hills or Montecito because the citizens
would be up in arms with many lawyers and politicians. Because predominantly
ethnic and poor communities do not have such resources, they are unfairly subject to
pollution which results from profit maximization. In conclusion, corporations
extracting additional revenues damages the health of poor neighborhoods who do not
have the capacity to resist the pollution in their homes. Of the various definitions for
sustainability and sustainable development put forth by Agyeman, Bullard, and
Evans, the most compelling and useful defines one sustainability as the need to
ensure a better quality of life for all, now, and into the future, in a just and equitable
manner, while living within the limits of supporting ecosystems (Agyeman et al., p.
2). This definition is particularly suitable to sustainability because it captures its
social justice component rather than portraying it as a solely environmental issue.
Another key part is the mentioning of intra generational equity which is crucial
because many people fighting for sustainability will not be able to see the fruits of
their labor but must still
Analysis Of The Book Carver Essay
Every story you read has an author behind it now how you interpret that s up to you,
but some authors have a completely different interpretation of their writing. Some
authors hide deep meaning behind their writings that can be difficult to catch.
Authors will use symbolism to tell a different story. A period of their life could
affect the way they write and you can see that as a reader if you pick apart the story.
Raymond Carveris a great example on how a period in his life affected his writing.
Carver was going down a dark path which readers can see the affects of this period
in his life in his writing style. It took Carver some time to find his sense of hope
again, and when he did so did his writing. Carver was known to be a great writer
even according to Stephen King, Carver was considered to be one of the most
influential writing in the 20th century (King). Also, know for being one of the
most important contributors to literature. In his short stories Carver chronicled the
everyday lives and problems of the working poor in the Pacific Northwest. His
blue collar characters are crushed by broken marriages, financial problems, and
failed careers. This short stories mirrored Carver s own life. Carver s stripped down,
minimalist prose style is remarkable for its honesty and power. He is credited with

Blue Moon Financial (BMF) is a large financial services firm that has recently started
to understand the value of protecting the organizations network resources, largely in
response to a recent rash of network intrusions that have victimized other firms within
the industry. BMF has allocated additional funds for the acquisition of technical
resources and additional training for technicians in order to help mitigate any
breaches that may significantly impact the sustainability of the company and services
provided to its clients. As the Senior Security Analyst at BMF I am awaken one night

Volunteering In High Schools
J.J. Watt, an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans, once said, My
mom taught me from a young age to give back and volunteer any chance you get.
(Brainyquote). Despite gaining all the fame and money from the NFL (National
Football League), the defensive end believes in the power and the potential of
volunteeringby altruistically helping out Hurricane Harvey victims with necessary
supplies such as water, food, and other basic needs (USA Today). There certainly
has to be a sort of flare that ignites the heart of a volunteer in order to selflessly aid
others, as exemplified by Watt. Yet, that aspect of community service is presently
vague among many high schools. Currently, many high schools require students to
volunteer for a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately one major question arises from this obligation. Does mandatory
volunteering truly invoke the spirit of volunteering? Selective colleges, in general,
are more stringent than they were in the past by the recruiting process. In fact, the
admission committees of these respective colleges accurately discern inadequate
applications from powerful ones, especially in relationship to the commitment level
of community service. Passion for community service is a vital indicator for
recruiting. They desire students who strongly dedicate themselves to volunteer with
something that coincides with their interests or major. However, mandatory
volunteering generates a belief that community service is a hindrance and a deliberate
waste of time towards obtaining a diploma. The embodiment of community service
diminishes as these educational institutions continue to exercise their power to
regulate civic engagement. Thus, selective colleges are likely to identify and reject
those who only fulfill the negative aspects of mandatory
Berger And Berreby Analysis
According to David Berreby, humanities are simply unlike anything else found in
nature (par. 24). Human behavior is so complex that sometimes everyday interactions
by humans seem unreal when studied more in depth. John Berger and David Berreby
both discuss how humans view other humans. Berger claims that humans, especially
women, are seen solely as objects or sights. However, although Berreby claims that
humans have subconscious impressions of one another, he would likely disagree that
humans are seen as objects, instead seeing deeper, meaningful human connection
within one another.
Throughout Ways of Seeing, John Berger uses European oil paintings and art to
describe the relationship between women and men and the way that men view
women. The entire chapter focuses primarily on a women s body, how her body is
surveyed by men, and how this causes the women to also survey herself. When first
introducing the relationship between men and women, Berger clarifies women are an
object of vision, stating,
One might simplify this by saying: men act and women appear. Men look at women.

Berger s use of European paintings of naked women demonstrate the way women are
being seen as material items instead of something deeper with more substance.
Berreby s use of research studies demonstrate how it has become a part of human
nature to find somewhere to belong and something relatable to identify with. This has
lead to the elimination of judgments and the increase of more connection and
understanding between humans. Most importantly, Berger and Berreby both express
the importance of seeing other humans and the realization that the behavior of the
human mind simply seems unreal sometimes. As humans, we are called to view
others, but we are called to move past initial impressions and focus on finding
common ground and
Analysis Of Toni Cade Bambara s `` The `` Run ``
In Toni Cade Bambara s, Raymond s Run, the most intriguing part is the conflict.
Based around young girls, they argue using many different tactics. Body language,
flaws and snarking comments are obviously used because With a swift recollection
of the attitude your body is radiating and a quick earful of gossip, girls can easily
find even a single, lone detail about you that they will twist ever so slightly till it
breaks down you outer layer of confidence. The moment they see the slightest
change in your behaviour, their brain gives them a clap on the back for the ability
to break off the tiniest piece of your confidence so they can add it to their collection.
girls are known users of mentally destroying tools. While most readers would... Show

They have manifested a particular way to smile without actually smiling. A tight
lipped stretch from ear to ear, a cracked paper mache version of the real thing. This
hatred ridden mask of pure despise that can tear through your flesh right to your
delicate emotions, if you are willing to let your soul be monitored by the beholder.
Gretchen easily hides behind this persona, using her seemingly innocent trick
/smile to swarm your brain with cowardly thoughts as if she, herself, is the
mastermind behind mind control. Hazel wonders if a smile from girls these days
is even possible. If they have hoarded so much disgust for their own selves that
even the simple task of a true, genuine smile will somehow make their bodies turn
to stone and crumble, exposing all of their self hatred. Continuing with similarities,
both parties bring up flaws in another person s life that at the moment are
unchangeable. When Gretchen s posse realizes that Hazel is more prepared than
they imagined, they jump onto the fact that Hazel s family is different. Raymond,
Hazel s disabled brother, basically has a bullseye on him at all time. Anyone can
easily snipe him with physical and emotional abuse. By either taking his allowance or
calling him names, no one backs down from targeting Raymond. That s exactly what
happens with Mary Louise and Rosie. With absolutely no surprise,
Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl Essays
The concentration camps that were run by the Nazis during World War II can
easily be labeled as one of the most grotesque examples of cruelty in the entire
world. The people that were sent to these concentration camps were treated as less
than human by the power hungry leaders of the camp. As we have all learned in
history classes throughout our lives, the conditions of these camps were blatantly
abhorrent, and it is a surprise that people made it out of these camps alive. In his
book, Man s Search for Meaning, Viktor E. Frankl uses his experiences in a
concentration camp as an example to his readers that life holds a potential meaning
no matter what condition a person is in. In the two parts of his book he analyzes his
experiences and the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The way Frankl described it made it seem as if it was one of those situations where a
person responds in a way that is not socially acceptable, but they cannot help it. In
this case, the inmates found humor in the sense that they were in disbelief that these
things were happening to them and did not know how to react. The other emotion
that was immediately felt by the inmates entering the camp was curiosity because
they did not know whether they were going to live or die. Living in the camps for the
first few days filled the inmates with questions about whether or not they would
survive and how they would go about doing so. Also, almost every inmate justifiably
entertained thoughts of suicide, but according to Frankl there was little point in
committing suicide, since, for the average inmate, life expectation, [...] was very poor
(18). Additionally, the first days and weeks in a concentration camp filled the inmates
with fear and disgust, since they were not accustomed to seeing humans being treated
in such disturbing manners. Frankl explains that all the campers slowly became
acclimated to their situations once they realized that a man can get used to anything,
[without knowing] how (18). This observation by Frankl is imperative to his own
survival in the concentration camps, and it emphasizes that idea that in order to
survive the abhorrent conditions of the camp one must forget their former life and
realize that they needed to survive the present
Rhetorical Analysis Of Fredrick Douglas s Speech
Fredrick Douglas, a freed slave, delivered a speech on July fourth 1852. This
speech highlighted the hypocrisy of the United States and revealed how citizens,
slaves in particular, perceived Independence Day. Douglas s speech exposed the
nation, with a well constructed argument that effectively solidified the main and
most important point. Douglas used several rhetorical strategies throughout his
speech to argue his side. Fredrick Douglas used the rhetorical devices, ethos to
gain credibility, allusions to show comparisons, and pathos to spark an emotional
response in his speech to defend his claim about the hypocrisy of Independence
Day. Douglas was the first African American citizen to hold a high U.S.
government rank. Douglas gained recognition by being an abolitionist, journalist,
and powerful speaker, he was also born a slave. These two highly contradictory
characteristics gave him an edge when delivering his Fourth of July speech.
Douglas began his speech by asking, ...why am I called upon to speak here today?
What have I or those I represent to do with your national independence? By asking
two rhetorical questions, Douglas allowed his audience to contemplate. This
contemplation leads to the realization, for most, that Douglas has more than
enough credibility to be presenting and speaking. Douglas establishes his
importance and credibility in the first two lines of his speech. Another way he
established credibility is by making himself cohesive with the audience. In the
second paragraph Douglas says, Would to God, both for your sakes and ours, than
an affirmative answer could be truthfully returned to these questions. In the mid
1800 s religion was an overwhelmingly large piece of people s lives. By referring to
religion Douglas can establish that he is a godly man and can be trusted. He also
established a connection to a large part of his audience by just mentioning God.
Throughout the introduction to Douglas s speech, he built up his credibility and
allows himself to appeal to more of the audience by using ethos. This credibility not
only created a concrete connection with the white audience, but also with the African
American audience. By doing this, Douglas allowed himself to appeal to a

Therapeutic Recreational Types Of Therapeutic Recreation
What does therapeutic recreation mean to me? Therapeutic recreation is a process
that utilizes recreation and education as a way to enable a being with any type of
disorder, mentally, physically or emotionally. My personal belief is that recreation
can be used to help anyone become happier or more comfortable than they already
are. To put it simply, I believe that therapeutic recreation is a very organized way to
help people, no matter the circumstance, without prejudices, or discrimination, and
judgments. It doesn t matter whether the person was born with a disability, physically
or mentally, or even if they were born with no disability and are considered to be
clinically healthy , I believe as a TR representative it is our job to improve the
lives of others in any way we possibly can because if someone isn t as happy as they
can be we theoretically can at least try to help. Although I have yet to work in a
therapeutic recreational type environment, I feel that I have learned many helpful
skills that translate from other fields that I can apply to the field of TR. This past
summer I worked two jobs in two completely different fields from each other and
therapeutic recreation. Working at a bar taught me that you need to be patient and
accommodating to peoples needs and wants. I also learned how big of an impact
you could make on someone s day just by doing the simplest tasks. This is especially
important in TR because our goal fully revolves around improving health and
Features Selection Algorithm For Selecting Relevant
Features
Abstract Process of selecting relevant features from available dataset is known as
features selection. Feature selection is use to remove or reduce redundant and
irrelevant features. Various feature selection algorithms such as CFS (correlation
feature selection), FCBF (Fast Correlation Based Filter) and CMIM (Conditional
Mutual Information Maximization) are used to remove redundant and irrelevant
features. To determine efficiency and effectiveness is the aim of feature selection
algorithm. Time factor is denoted by efficiency and quality factor is denoted by
effectiveness of subset of features. Problem of feature selection algorithm is accuracy
is not guaranteed, computational complexity is large, ineffective at removing
redundant features. To overcome these problems Fast Clustering based feature
selection algorithm (FAST) is used. Removal of irrelevant features, construction of
MST (Minimum Spanning Tree) from relative one and partition of MST and selecting
representative features using kruskal s method are the three steps used by FAST
algorithm.
Index Terms Feature subset selection, graph theoretic clustering, FAST
I.INTRODUCTION
Feature subset selection can be viewed as the method of identifying and removing a
lot of unrelated and unnecessary features as probable because (i) unrelated features
do not give the predictive correctness (ii) unnecessary features do not redound to
receiving a superior predictor for that they give main data which is previously
Popular Sports In The Elizabethan Era
Many sports were practiced during the Elizabethan Era, but not all were popular.
During this period, some sports were also in the Highland games. Wrestling has a
very popular sport in this era and was practiced around the world and since ancient
times. Of all sports, wrestling was favored most, plus the champion back then of
wrestling was a cornish man named John Goit. Hurling was also associated with
wresting, in the highland games, and men were often killed during hurling.
One popular sport trending at the time was jousting. Many of the high class society
folk were very interested and involved in jousting. Jousting was a horse involved
sports that only the upper class men participated in. The goal of the game was to
charge at each other
The Failure of California s Proposition 19
Cannabis, also known as Marijuana, has been used by humans throughout history
for medical, recreational, as well as spiritual purposes. Its fiber, oil, and seed are
also refined into products such as hemp oil, wax, rope, cloth, and paper (Agriculture
and Agri Food Canada, 2013, para. 1). With 56% voters overwhelming supported for
medical cannabis, California became the first state in the United Statesto pass Prop
215 in 1996 ensuring the patients and their primary caregivers to have the right to
obtain and use marijuana for medical purpose (California Department of Public
Health, 2013, Text of Law section, para. 1). Right after the U.S. Department of
Justice announced in March 2009 that it would no longer prosecute marijuana
patients and providers whose actions are consistent with state medical marijuana
laws (Meyer Glover, 2009, para. 1), political windows suddenly opened for
California marijuana reform advocates to push for legalizing the recreational use of
marijuana. As a result, California Proposition 19, the Regulate, Control Tax
Cannabis Act, became a ballot initiative on November 2, 2010 statewide ballot.
Supporters argued that legalizing creational use of marijuana would help California
to regulate the use and sale of marijuana, reduce correctional costs, redirect its court
and law enforcement resources to other more serious crimes, and collect additional
exercise taxes and sales taxes that would help with California s budget shortfall. In
spite of being a
The Act Of Playing And Learning
Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning, but for
children, play is serious learning. (Mr. Rogers) Children love to play with toys
because it is an important form of communication. It is through this act that children
can create a life in a world of fantasy and imagination. They can have an enjoyable
relationship between playing and learning. The act of playing enables the process of
the childs learning since it facilitates the construction of physical, cognitive, and
socio emotional development. Nowadays, there is a wide variety of toys available
in stores. We can find different types, prices, and benefits. Almost every child has at
least one favorite toyat home that can become a very important part of the
childhood time. It is very important for parents to be aware that companies have
manufactured specific toys for each type of age. For example, Vtech sells a very
interesting toy, Go! Go! Smart Wheels. This toy is suitable for ages 1 5 years old,
and it helps children to develop motor skills. Physical activity is important for the
overall development of children. Go! Go! Smart Wheels has many manipulative
features such as pushing the vehicle. The infant will bend down, move around, sit
down, and stand up. These activities will strengthen the fine motor skills of the
child. The best way for a kid to develop their motor skills is by playing and having
fun. Another great feature of Go! Go! Smart Wheels is its cognitive developmental. It
Test Different Ways Of Increasing A Person s Happiness
Fordyce performed an experiment to test different ways of increasing a person s
happiness. A few of those ways were: keeping a positive attitude, spending less time
worrying, making more time for important relationships, doing the things they
enjoyed, and being more outgoing. The subjects of the experiment had mostly
increased in happinessafter following this list. Therefore, I could increase my
personal happiness if I follow this list. Something I personally struggle with is
having a negative attitude. I always find the negative in a situation because, in my
experience, it is more likely to be the outcome. If I changed the way I view things,
from negative to positive, I would likely have an increase in happiness. Something
as small as changing a few thoughts could really impact my view on many other
things. A friend of mine has recently adopted this concept of writing down all the
positive things in your life on little slips of paper and putting them into a jar. When
she felt herself thinking negatively, she would read the slips of paper to remind
herself of the positive things she had going for her. I have often wanted to
implement this in my own life as I think it is a great, consistent way to remind
oneself of the positives as I could frequently revert back to and build upon it. If I did
try this method, it would hopefully help reinforce more positive thinking and less
negative thinking. In relation to positive thinking, I could also spend less time
worrying. I am
Dehumanization Of Bullying In Schools
What is the definition of bullying? It is getting pleasure from someone else s pain
and not feeling any type of remorse or regret for your actions. Bullying is
unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children and adults that involves
a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential
to be repeated, over time. Both kids and adults who are bullied and who bully others
may have serious, lasting problems. In the same aspect bullyingis unquestioned
obedience to authority, rootinazation of cruelty and dehumanization of another
human being (Services, 2015) (Somante, 2014).
The most important step in research that I felt I needed to use for this paper is
working with existing information. I felt it was necessary for this decision simply
because the information was presented by a lady by the name of Barbara Coloroso.
She has actually researched the topic of bullying in school yards and bullying in the
general sense. Being a parent herself, she actually discussed some key points that can
very easily become agents of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Children reflect on what the parents present. Children who bully believe that their
parents would not forgive them if they did something wrong. Arguably, they learn
from their parents to be unforgiving towards others, and feel justified in acting
aggressively (Rigby, 2013). For example, at a young age I had my first experience
with racism which lead to me personally being a bully. I learned term like chink ,
cracker , honkey , spic and etc. I took these labels to school with me. Certain people
they were different than I suffered the consequences of being different. I tormented
them, called them names pushed them around, and took their lunch monies. Another
example, I had and older brother that tortured me every chance he got. He beat me
up, locked me in closets, took my money and pushed me around. So naturally I
learned things from home and took them to

  • 2. Compare And Contrast Zoroastrianism And Judaism One key element Zoroastrianism and Judaism share is a monotheistic view on God. Both share in the belief that there was creator for everything, and this creator has numerous names in both religions. While they may share this view, Zoroastrianism also believes in a dualistic view for good and evil (pg. 229). Zoroaster taught that two spirits stemmed from the creator Ahura Mazda. Whether one chose to follow Spenta Mainyu the Beneficent Spirit, or Angra Mainyu the Evil Spirit, determined their fate regarding heaven and hell. The afterlife is another key element they share. While Judaism does not believe in a heaven or a hell, they do believe in Sheol which is the place of the dead. Sheol is a place of darkness where both the righteous and

Ancient Greece helped shaped the world of today. We have many similarities with ancient Greece today. Ancient Greece had three different column styles the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian as a substitute wood for building temples. These three different styles are still been used today in various mode like the Greeks. Thanks to the Doric style a plain, simple column with a circle on the top of the column, we can enjoy the benefits of sitting on our porches with roofs attached protecting us from the elements. In 776 B.C., the first Olympic Games begin as an achievement in art, ethical conduct and interaction of the mind in ancient Greece. Today athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games. In spite of the many new events such as bicycling, skating, gymnastics, swimming, soccer and basketball, many of the earlier (ancient Greece) events such as footraces, jumping, discus and javelin throwing, boxing, and wrestling are still a part of the today games. As we mourned the recent loss of Muhammad Ali, boxing champion of the world to many, continued the ancient Greece s tradition of carrying the torch to light the cauldron during the 1996 Summer Olympics games in Atlanta, GA. The torch remains lit until the conclusion of competition today as it did in ancient

John Singletons, Boyz n the Hood follows the lives of Tre Styles and Doughboy, two are African American teenagers growing up in Los Angeles where these children are constantly exposed to violence. At the beginning of the film, Tre is seen with a group of his friends talking about the shooting that occurred in the neighborhood that previous night and they even went as far as crossing the police like to get closer to the crimescreen. For their age at the time, they were very educated about violence. When they go to school, Tre is seen talking to his teacher by using inappropriate language that is very disrespectful to her. While in class, Tre makes a statement about Africa and one students disagrees with him so Tre begins to get violent both physically and verbally attacking the student. At this point Tre is living with his mother, but due to the flight in the classroom, and breaking a contract that he had with his mother to behave, Tre is off to live with his father. Tre s father is Furious Styles, also referred to as Laurence Fishburne, whose job is to teach Tre values and responsibility. This film tells a story of three friends Tre, Ricky and Doughboy. Ricky and Doughboy live with their mother in the same neighborhood with the absence of their father, which is visible throughout the movie. Doughboy is a delinquent child and even spends

Box 19281, State Fairgrounds Springfield, IL 62794 9281 Dear Mr. Flider, The colony collapse disorder has been threatening the United States for many years. Reports show excessive numbers of honeybees dying off. According to the Bee Informed Partnership and USDA s annual survey, during the winter of 2013 2014, the mortality of managed honeybee colonies was 23.2. The previous winter s report showed a loss of 30.5 percent of the colonies and thus, the winter 2013 2014 results might show some improvement. However, beekeepers persist that the still declining honeybee colonies are becoming too low for colony collapse disorder to be considered a solved issue. Approximately two thirds of the beekeepers reported losses greater than the acceptable 18.9 percent mortality rate, thus deeming the losses greater than what is economically sustainable. The issue... I would like to propose a educational campaign that, with your assistance, informs the public and beekeepers about the issue of colony collapse disorder. This campaign will also urge the public to use pesticides wisely and at times other than in the middle of the day when honeybees tend to be foraging and pollinating and to grow pollinator friendly plants. • 6. Hallucinogen Research Paper Hallucinogen is a title commonly given to drugs that are mind altering. This category of drug includes those which cause a variety of side effects, most commonly temporary distortions to one s view of reality. Hallucinogens are commonly used for recreation, along with in some cultures as religious practices ( What Is A Hallucinogen? ). The most common hallucinogens are LSD, Psilocybin, Peyote, and DMT. All five of these are plant based substances ( Hallucinogens ). They also each fall under the classification of an alkaloid. Alkaloids are commonly found in plants, and have not been proven to serve any specific purpose among plants. I personally believe that use of hallucinogens has already become fairly socially acceptable. I feel that my generation is very open minded and is less likely to condemn others for controversial choices than older generations. I feel that it should be socially acceptable, because everyone makes their own choices. If someone is choosing to use hallucinogens on their own time for recreation, and they are not hurting anyone else in the process, there is no reason they should be shamed for that choice. They understand the consequences of their own actions, and can therefore be mature about it and deal with said consequences. At the same time, those who use hallucinogens as a religious rite, such as some southwestern native american tribes do, should not be frowned upon. Christians consume wine in church as part of the eucharist. Nobody tells them that because alcohol is harmful to the human body, they should not do it. Therefore, there is no reason for anyone else to condemn religious groups for using hallucinogens. Everyone has the capability to make their own choices, whether for recreation or for religious reasons. If no one is forcing a sheet of blotter paper onto one s tongue or putting peyote in someone else s tea, I see no problem with use of hallucinogens from a social

He stopped to realize the beauty in the nature and truly wanted to go against the flow of nature. Therefore, if he were to work on a retainer, his service and he will be put on standby, pending any instructions. This means that he does not have to be in office in the regular working hours, instead, he can be at home, and on standby pending any instructions. With a retainer, the employee can access the skills and experience of the employee on demand, or a certain period of time, whichever Mr. Raja and Bulb Berry Company agreed upon. This is prevalent within college campuses, within work, the military, within family households and nearly all parts of society there is no getting away from it. It is truly a shame and a wretched part of society. However, this needs to be brought to light. This can no longer be avoided and society needs to come together as a whole, in order to stop this. Throughout this essay we are going to go over the statistical background of violence and sexual assault towards women, sexual assault on college campuses, the emotional abuse of those affected, and why Victims don t come forward. • 12. The Devil And Tom Walker Satire The Devil and Tom Walker Theme Analysis Often, society is corrupt, and as a result, there are some people who try to change it through the use of satire. A satire is a literary device in which traditions, institutions and people are ridiculed with the purpose of improving society. Within the satire, The Devil and Tom Walker, Irving discusses and illustrates the themes of greed, religion and manipulation in order to improve society and teach the reader a moral life lesson. The first major concept being displayed within this satire is greed. Within the town of Charles Bay lived a miserly, meager fellow named Tom Walker. He has a wifeas miserly as himself that they even conspired to cheat each other (Irving 18 19). Even though they were married, and should have shared their wealth with each other, Tom and his wife were so full of greed that they would constantly plot to steal each other s possessions. When Tom becomes old, he decides to become a devout, zealous Christian in order to cheat the devil of the bargain. However, he still continues his unethical business practices. Because he was afraid that the devil would take him anyways, he carried a small bible in his coat pocket. In a way, he believes he can still be saved by hiding behind religion but keeping his wealth at the same time. Tom is proven wrong when a land speculator accused Tom of making money out of him, and Tom replies, The devil take me if I have made a farthing (Irving 315 316). Tom gave no sympathy whatsoever to the speculator, despite being a devout, violent churchgoer, so the devil came to take Tom when Tom least expected it. Overall, Tom s attempt of hiding behind religion does him no good, and this serves as an example of what happens to hypocrites who act pious and are too busy pointing out the sins of others that they do not notice their own
  • 13. Criticism Of Piecemeal Social Engineering the state from the ground up. It is radical. Piecemeal social engineering, however, does not have the same idealized society as the end point, or at least, sees it as something in the far distance. Piecemeal is far less risky, for several reasons that Popper points out in his critique. Firstly, because piecemeal social engineering looks at solving the most urgent evils of society, and not just trying to get rid of all of them, with the goal of creating a heaven on earth, it is a method that can be applied to at any moment (Popper 148). Small changes that improve happiness is much easier to do than trying to fully eliminate suffering. An example of this type of improvement would be call centers for parents with sick children. This would allow the parents to call and get support from a registered nurse or doctor, without having to wait in long lines at the hospital, or adding to those long lines. Piecemeal is about solving issues that are occurring right now, and by doing that, is bettering society. This also makes this method faster that utopian, which takes generations for the blueprint to be seen though, instead of smaller aspects being fixed right away. There are many other issues that are connected to the long timeframe of utopian social engineering takes. Popper points out that making a heaven on earth is not something that can be done in one or more generations. The leader who starts the plan, will not be the same one there when the state finally reaches the final

The disaster cycle has four distinct yet interrelated phases: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. The concept of the cycle implies an ongoing process in which communities, businesses, and individuals plan for and reduce potential disasterlosses. Historically, emergency managementprograms have focused heavily on the preparedness and response phases, leaving limited resources to address the recovery and mitigation phases. This research paper will discuss the basic goals of post disaster hazardmitigation and identify areas of concentration when developing strategies and making recommendations towards reducing and eliminating the impact of future disaster events through a post disaster redevelopment plan. The measurements used were a questionnaire about imaginary companions, 3 estimates of creative potential, and a self image inventory. But instead, the connotation created by Superman strays far away from the notion of an ordinary man. By allocating the name Superman, he is connected to something that is god like and un human. Dennis Dooley and Gary Eagle present the argument that Superman achieves truly mythic stature, interweaving a pattern of beliefs, literary conventions and cultural traditions of the American people more powerfully and more accessibly than any other cultural symbol of the 20th century. But this mythic stature created a culture that allowed its followers to question nature and its power and allowed for the establishment of beliefs that were detrimental to the natural order of the world. Even Steve Skelton, the author of The Gospel According to the World s Greatest Superhero presents the fact there is a parallel between Superman and God. Have Siegel and Shuster gone too far? The cultural and social superhero of Superman was one that was intended to attract those who felt disconnected from the American world in which they lived. But, as time would tell, this action figure would translate into an omnipotent entity. Although most Americans look up to the Clark Kent disguised as his super self, there are several blurry implications that remain at the surface of these comic books. By assuming the name Superman,

Beauty is not as natural as many people think. This beauty blinds a man, just as Yeats was by Maud. Yeats thought Maud was beautiful and did not see the flaws until now. It is sad, because Yeats now realizes, there is no fine thing , just as God has cursed men, he has done the same to women. He is sure that there is neither a perfect romance nor a perfect woman. He states that it must be labored as the rest of life. Yeats speaks of the traditions that he followed to court Maud. Men have laid out the laws on how to fall in love, and he followed these lessons. These traditions now seem frivolous to him, since he doesn t care anymore. They did not work for him and he lost his love. He is kind of angry that he was foolish enough to believe they would work. Women have been described as the angel in the house, whilst men are typified as dominant and prevailing in comparison to women. The gothic genre in literature is used to personify and exaggerate these stereotypes, by using gothic motifs such as dream sequences and themes such as horror and terror. Not only does the gothic exaggerate the stereotypes, but it also allows them to be contravened, due to the transgressive nature of the genre. The psychoanalytical aspect of this genre, allows for repressed desires to be made eminent and therefore characters can transgress and in the process, cross their contemporary gender boundaries. Keats uses the gothic device of Negative capability in order to conceal the transgression of the females in his poetry, Carter revised gothic fairytales in order to display them from a feminist approach and Stoker uses gothic themes, set against the backdrop of the fluidity of Fin de siГЁcle period, to allow characters to stray from their gender stereotypes. During the 17th century there was a period of new ideas and creativity; that period was called the Reformation. The Reformation period was a time of change for how people interpreted the world around them. The opinions of Gulliver s Travels were based off of interpretations of the book, the interpretations were not always correct; therefore, the opinions were not correctly informed. Swift was specifically committed to the Protestant idea, that man is sinful by nature. ( Novels for Students 83). Jonathan Swift s Gulliver s Travels uses satire to critique the human condition. This relationship exists due to increased political power enjoyed by the wealthy and required corporate profit maximization for shareholders. It is laughable to think of what would occur if such a facility was proposed in Beverly Hills or Montecito because the citizens would be up in arms with many lawyers and politicians. Because predominantly ethnic and poor communities do not have such resources, they are unfairly subject to pollution which results from profit maximization. In conclusion, corporations extracting additional revenues damages the health of poor neighborhoods who do not have the capacity to resist the pollution in their homes. Of the various definitions for sustainability and sustainable development put forth by Agyeman, Bullard, and Evans, the most compelling and useful defines one sustainability as the need to ensure a better quality of life for all, now, and into the future, in a just and equitable manner, while living within the limits of supporting ecosystems (Agyeman et al., p. 2). This definition is particularly suitable to sustainability because it captures its social justice component rather than portraying it as a solely environmental issue. Another key part is the mentioning of intra generational equity which is crucial because many people fighting for sustainability will not be able to see the fruits of their labor but must still

  • 41. Volunteering In High Schools J.J. Watt, an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans, once said, My mom taught me from a young age to give back and volunteer any chance you get. (Brainyquote). Despite gaining all the fame and money from the NFL (National Football League), the defensive end believes in the power and the potential of volunteeringby altruistically helping out Hurricane Harvey victims with necessary supplies such as water, food, and other basic needs (USA Today). There certainly has to be a sort of flare that ignites the heart of a volunteer in order to selflessly aid others, as exemplified by Watt. Yet, that aspect of community service is presently vague among many high schools. Currently, many high schools require students to volunteer for a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately one major question arises from this obligation. Does mandatory volunteering truly invoke the spirit of volunteering? Selective colleges, in general, are more stringent than they were in the past by the recruiting process. In fact, the admission committees of these respective colleges accurately discern inadequate applications from powerful ones, especially in relationship to the commitment level of community service. Passion for community service is a vital indicator for recruiting. They desire students who strongly dedicate themselves to volunteer with something that coincides with their interests or major. However, mandatory volunteering generates a belief that community service is a hindrance and a deliberate waste of time towards obtaining a diploma. The embodiment of community service diminishes as these educational institutions continue to exercise their power to regulate civic engagement. Thus, selective colleges are likely to identify and reject those who only fulfill the negative aspects of mandatory
  • 42. Berger And Berreby Analysis According to David Berreby, humanities are simply unlike anything else found in nature (par. 24). Human behavior is so complex that sometimes everyday interactions by humans seem unreal when studied more in depth. John Berger and David Berreby both discuss how humans view other humans. Berger claims that humans, especially women, are seen solely as objects or sights. However, although Berreby claims that humans have subconscious impressions of one another, he would likely disagree that humans are seen as objects, instead seeing deeper, meaningful human connection within one another. Throughout Ways of Seeing, John Berger uses European oil paintings and art to describe the relationship between women and men and the way that men view women. The entire chapter focuses primarily on a women s body, how her body is surveyed by men, and how this causes the women to also survey herself. When first introducing the relationship between men and women, Berger clarifies women are an object of vision, stating, One might simplify this by saying: men act and women appear. Men look at women. Women ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Berger s use of European paintings of naked women demonstrate the way women are being seen as material items instead of something deeper with more substance. Berreby s use of research studies demonstrate how it has become a part of human nature to find somewhere to belong and something relatable to identify with. This has lead to the elimination of judgments and the increase of more connection and understanding between humans. Most importantly, Berger and Berreby both express the importance of seeing other humans and the realization that the behavior of the human mind simply seems unreal sometimes. As humans, we are called to view others, but we are called to move past initial impressions and focus on finding common ground and

Based around young girls, they argue using many different tactics. Body language, flaws and snarking comments are obviously used because With a swift recollection of the attitude your body is radiating and a quick earful of gossip, girls can easily find even a single, lone detail about you that they will twist ever so slightly till it breaks down you outer layer of confidence. Gretchen easily hides behind this persona, using her seemingly innocent trick /smile to swarm your brain with cowardly thoughts as if she, herself, is the mastermind behind mind control. Hazel wonders if a smile from girls these days is even possible. If they have hoarded so much disgust for their own selves that even the simple task of a true, genuine smile will somehow make their bodies turn to stone and crumble, exposing all of their self hatred. Continuing with similarities, both parties bring up flaws in another person s life that at the moment are unchangeable. When Gretchen s posse realizes that Hazel is more prepared than they imagined, they jump onto the fact that Hazel s family is different. Raymond, Hazel s disabled brother, basically has a bullseye on him at all time. Anyone can easily snipe him with physical and emotional abuse. By either taking his allowance or calling him names, no one backs down from targeting Raymond. That s exactly what happens with Mary Louise and Rosie. With absolutely no surprise,
  • 44. Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl Essays The concentration camps that were run by the Nazis during World War II can easily be labeled as one of the most grotesque examples of cruelty in the entire world. The people that were sent to these concentration camps were treated as less than human by the power hungry leaders of the camp. As we have all learned in history classes throughout our lives, the conditions of these camps were blatantly abhorrent, and it is a surprise that people made it out of these camps alive. In his book, Man s Search for Meaning, Viktor E. Frankl uses his experiences in a concentration camp as an example to his readers that life holds a potential meaning no matter what condition a person is in. In the two parts of his book he analyzes his experiences and the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The way Frankl described it made it seem as if it was one of those situations where a person responds in a way that is not socially acceptable, but they cannot help it. In this case, the inmates found humor in the sense that they were in disbelief that these things were happening to them and did not know how to react. The other emotion that was immediately felt by the inmates entering the camp was curiosity because they did not know whether they were going to live or die. Living in the camps for the first few days filled the inmates with questions about whether or not they would survive and how they would go about doing so. Also, almost every inmate justifiably entertained thoughts of suicide, but according to Frankl there was little point in committing suicide, since, for the average inmate, life expectation, [...] was very poor (18). Additionally, the first days and weeks in a concentration camp filled the inmates with fear and disgust, since they were not accustomed to seeing humans being treated in such disturbing manners. Frankl explains that all the campers slowly became acclimated to their situations once they realized that a man can get used to anything, [without knowing] how (18). This observation by Frankl is imperative to his own survival in the concentration camps, and it emphasizes that idea that in order to survive the abhorrent conditions of the camp one must forget their former life and realize that they needed to survive the present
  • 45. Rhetorical Analysis Of Fredrick Douglas s Speech Fredrick Douglas, a freed slave, delivered a speech on July fourth 1852. This speech highlighted the hypocrisy of the United States and revealed how citizens, slaves in particular, perceived Independence Day. Douglas s speech exposed the nation, with a well constructed argument that effectively solidified the main and most important point. Douglas used several rhetorical strategies throughout his speech to argue his side. Fredrick Douglas used the rhetorical devices, ethos to gain credibility, allusions to show comparisons, and pathos to spark an emotional response in his speech to defend his claim about the hypocrisy of Independence Day. Douglas was the first African American citizen to hold a high U.S. government rank. Douglas gained recognition by being an abolitionist, journalist, and powerful speaker, he was also born a slave. These two highly contradictory characteristics gave him an edge when delivering his Fourth of July speech. Douglas began his speech by asking, ...why am I called upon to speak here today? What have I or those I represent to do with your national independence? By asking two rhetorical questions, Douglas allowed his audience to contemplate. This contemplation leads to the realization, for most, that Douglas has more than enough credibility to be presenting and speaking. Douglas establishes his importance and credibility in the first two lines of his speech. Another way he established credibility is by making himself cohesive with the audience. In the second paragraph Douglas says, Would to God, both for your sakes and ours, than an affirmative answer could be truthfully returned to these questions. In the mid 1800 s religion was an overwhelmingly large piece of people s lives. By referring to religion Douglas can establish that he is a godly man and can be trusted. He also established a connection to a large part of his audience by just mentioning God. Throughout the introduction to Douglas s speech, he built up his credibility and allows himself to appeal to more of the audience by using ethos. This credibility not only created a concrete connection with the white audience, but also with the African American audience. By doing this, Douglas allowed himself to appeal to a

  • 47. Therapeutic Recreational Types Of Therapeutic Recreation What does therapeutic recreation mean to me? Therapeutic recreation is a process that utilizes recreation and education as a way to enable a being with any type of disorder, mentally, physically or emotionally. My personal belief is that recreation can be used to help anyone become happier or more comfortable than they already are. To put it simply, I believe that therapeutic recreation is a very organized way to help people, no matter the circumstance, without prejudices, or discrimination, and judgments. It doesn t matter whether the person was born with a disability, physically or mentally, or even if they were born with no disability and are considered to be clinically healthy , I believe as a TR representative it is our job to improve the lives of others in any way we possibly can because if someone isn t as happy as they can be we theoretically can at least try to help. Although I have yet to work in a therapeutic recreational type environment, I feel that I have learned many helpful skills that translate from other fields that I can apply to the field of TR. This past summer I worked two jobs in two completely different fields from each other and therapeutic recreation. Working at a bar taught me that you need to be patient and accommodating to peoples needs and wants. I also learned how big of an impact you could make on someone s day just by doing the simplest tasks. This is especially important in TR because our goal fully revolves around improving health and
  • 48. Features Selection Algorithm For Selecting Relevant Features Abstract Process of selecting relevant features from available dataset is known as features selection. Feature selection is use to remove or reduce redundant and irrelevant features. Various feature selection algorithms such as CFS (correlation feature selection), FCBF (Fast Correlation Based Filter) and CMIM (Conditional Mutual Information Maximization) are used to remove redundant and irrelevant features. To determine efficiency and effectiveness is the aim of feature selection algorithm. Time factor is denoted by efficiency and quality factor is denoted by effectiveness of subset of features. Problem of feature selection algorithm is accuracy is not guaranteed, computational complexity is large, ineffective at removing redundant features. To overcome these problems Fast Clustering based feature selection algorithm (FAST) is used. Removal of irrelevant features, construction of MST (Minimum Spanning Tree) from relative one and partition of MST and selecting representative features using kruskal s method are the three steps used by FAST algorithm. Index Terms Feature subset selection, graph theoretic clustering, FAST I.INTRODUCTION Feature subset selection can be viewed as the method of identifying and removing a lot of unrelated and unnecessary features as probable because (i) unrelated features do not give the predictive correctness (ii) unnecessary features do not redound to receiving a superior predictor for that they give main data which is previously

Its fiber, oil, and seed are also refined into products such as hemp oil, wax, rope, cloth, and paper (Agriculture and Agri Food Canada, 2013, para. 1). With 56% voters overwhelming supported for medical cannabis, California became the first state in the United Statesto pass Prop 215 in 1996 ensuring the patients and their primary caregivers to have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purpose (California Department of Public Health, 2013, Text of Law section, para. 1). Right after the U.S. Department of Justice announced in March 2009 that it would no longer prosecute marijuana patients and providers whose actions are consistent with state medical marijuana laws (Meyer Glover, 2009, para. 1), political windows suddenly opened for California marijuana reform advocates to push for legalizing the recreational use of marijuana. As a result, California Proposition 19, the Regulate, Control Tax Cannabis Act, became a ballot initiative on November 2, 2010 statewide ballot. Supporters argued that legalizing creational use of marijuana would help California to regulate the use and sale of marijuana, reduce correctional costs, redirect its court and law enforcement resources to other more serious crimes, and collect additional exercise taxes and sales taxes that would help with California s budget shortfall. In spite of being a

(Mr. Rogers) Children love to play with toys because it is an important form of communication. It is through this act that children can create a life in a world of fantasy and imagination. They can have an enjoyable relationship between playing and learning. The act of playing enables the process of the childs learning since it facilitates the construction of physical, cognitive, and socio emotional development. Nowadays, there is a wide variety of toys available in stores. We can find different types, prices, and benefits. Almost every child has at least one favorite toyat home that can become a very important part of the childhood time. It is very important for parents to be aware that companies have manufactured specific toys for each type of age. For example, Vtech sells a very interesting toy, Go! Go! Smart Wheels. This toy is suitable for ages 1 5 years old, and it helps children to develop motor skills. Physical activity is important for the overall development of children. Go! Go! Smart Wheels has many manipulative features such as pushing the vehicle. The infant will bend down, move around, sit down, and stand up. These activities will strengthen the fine motor skills of the child. The best way for a kid to develop their motor skills is by playing and having fun. Another great feature of Go! Go! A few of those ways were: keeping a positive attitude, spending less time worrying, making more time for important relationships, doing the things they enjoyed, and being more outgoing. The subjects of the experiment had mostly increased in happinessafter following this list. Therefore, I could increase my personal happiness if I follow this list. Something I personally struggle with is having a negative attitude. I always find the negative in a situation because, in my experience, it is more likely to be the outcome. If I changed the way I view things, from negative to positive, I would likely have an increase in happiness. Something as small as changing a few thoughts could really impact my view on many other things. A friend of mine has recently adopted this concept of writing down all the positive things in your life on little slips of paper and putting them into a jar. When she felt herself thinking negatively, she would read the slips of paper to remind herself of the positive things she had going for her. I have often wanted to implement this in my own life as I think it is a great, consistent way to remind oneself of the positives as I could frequently revert back to and build upon it. If I did try this method, it would hopefully help reinforce more positive thinking and less negative thinking. In relation to positive thinking, I could also spend less time worrying. I am

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children and adults that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids and adults who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems. In the same aspect bullyingis unquestioned obedience to authority, rootinazation of cruelty and dehumanization of another human being (Services, 2015) (Somante, 2014). I felt it was necessary for this decision simply because the information was presented by a lady by the name of Barbara Coloroso. Children who bully believe that their parents would not forgive them if they did something wrong. Arguably, they learn from their parents to be unforgiving towards others, and feel justified in acting aggressively (Rigby, 2013). For example, at a young age I had my first experience with racism which lead to me personally being a bully. I learned term like chink , cracker , honkey , spic and etc. I took these labels to school with me. Certain people they were different than I suffered the consequences of being different. I tormented them, called them names pushed them around, and took their lunch monies. Another example, I had and older brother that tortured me every chance he got.
