things have been replaced in relation to technology development. In an article by
Cynthia Wagner titled Top 10 disappearing futures many things are discussed and
examples have been given about how technology will soon replace several things that
we see daily and that have already been replaced in the past. Although these are only
examples of what may come out of the ever changing technology trends some present
a very real feeling and some may even hit close to home.

and separation of powers. Both have to do with the Government. But separation of
powers is a model of government in which different parts of the government are in
charge of different tasks; in the United States, these parts are known as the
Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. Checks and balances is a means of trying to
ensure that these three parts of government stay equal, and that one does not try to
take over another.

and balances gives each entity of government a different advantage over the other.
Some examples are:
1.The president can veto laws, but congress can overrule the veto with 2/3rd vote.

3.Congress can pass laws, but the president has the option to veto them.

1.In defining leadership and in my opinion, I would have to say that it is a method
that people use to encourage others to achieve a common goal by always
performing tasking the proper way. What I mean by my definition is that every day

The OIC told me that he would have rather the unit fail the inspection than to see me

structural information, speed traps, and mainly survey and topographic data. LiDAR
has been around since the early 1950 s. Once the development of accurate
positioning systems took place LiDAR became a viable option for mapping
technology. This system measures distance by targeting an area with a laserand
analyzing the reflected light. This is precision mounted on the underside of an
aircraft, the sensor emits rapid pulses of ultraviolet or infrared light which in turn

which is that they set up a plot and follow it. Movies such as the godfather and 12
angry men keep the plot interesting and constantly turning but never lose the

For my Out of Comfort Zone project I went around for a full day in a wheelchair. I
acquired the wheelchair from my mother, she had it in the garage from when my
sister could not walk for a summer. The wheelchair was a little small, however it
did its job for the day. I was in the wheelchair all day, going around campus, and the
surrounding neighborhood, where I live. I chose to be in a wheelchairbecause I
wanted to know what it felt like. I thoughtof doing other activities, however none put
me out of my comfort zone quite like being in a wheelchair for the day. Going into
the project I knew I would get the feel of being in a wheelchair, I was surprised at

The Reasons I Chose Music
I chose to use the medium music to explore how the music I listen to, sing, and play
help me deal with stress. The reasons I chose music as my chosen medium are
because I feel like it represents me the best. I find it very easy to relate to music, there
is something about the lyrics, music, the instrument used to play the songs, and the
emotions you can put into and hear in musicthat draws me in. Music makes me feel
free, it allows me to escape from my troubles, my mind, and the world. Everything
disappears and I become lost in the sounds and emotions it produces.

On days I have class this time is usually when I am on the bus travelling to and
from the college, so I get lots of time for my music on those days. Simply put I love
music, and it has become an essential part of me, that invokes not only happy and
some sad memories of my childhood but thoughts of how I have my whole life
ahead of me to create new memories as well.
The 11 songs I chose are the ones that have helped me deal with past stress the best
and they are: parts of Fur Elise , I Won t Back Down , Go Way From My Window ,

Clementine , Pan s Labyrinth Lullaby , Headphones , parts of Circles by Hollywood
Undead. Each song has a special meaning that I associate with it, although some of
the meanings overlap.
Fur Elise is special because it is a song that is so much fun to play on piano and to
listen to. I grew up listening Stuart and Jocelyn, my older sibling, playing it all the
time. Stuart would play it as fast as he possibly could, watching his fingers fly
across the keys was exhilarating as a child. Then Jocelyn would come and play next,
all tame and smooth compared to Stuart s wildness. Both variations were beautiful,
especially when they put expression in, hearing the music flow from loud to quiet
from soft to powerful was amazing. The best part though was when they would play
Fur Elise together, it was magical,

caused about $1,000 worth of damage to their rooms at the Olympic athlete s village
about 10 hours after they were eliminated from the Olympic tournament. Chairs were
broken, and two apartments were damaged by activated fire extinguishers.

disgrace to the United States at the Olympics.
Not that many teams dominate like the mens basketball team and not all other
teams destroy hotel rooms after losing, but there are other reasons professional
athletes should not be used, such as what it is they are playing for. They don t
really care if they win or not, because they play for money, not pride. Amatuers aren
t worried about money, they play for their pride of the sport and for the chance to
play for their country.
Professional athletes who make millions of dollars a year tend not to get as much out
of the Olympic experience. They fly in just before their event, stay in the most
expensive hotel, and fly back home after their event is over. They miss the Olympic
village, the interaction with other athletes, and sometimes even the ceremonies.
This can be the opportunity of a lifetime for a lot of amatuer athletes, where as
profressionals are allready on big time teams and don t care about playing in the
olympics
