Persuasive Essay 7Th Grade
Writing a persuasive essay for a 7th-grade level can present a unique set of challenges. At this
stage, students are expected to demonstrate a deeper understanding of their chosen topic while
effectively persuading their audience. Crafting a compelling argument requires not only a solid
grasp of the subject matter but also the ability to organize thoughts coherently.
For a 7th-grade persuasive essay, students need to develop a clear thesis statement and support it
with well-researched evidence. This requires honing research skills and critical thinking abilities.
Furthermore, the language used should be appropriate for the target audience, striking a balance
between sophistication and simplicity.
Structuring the essay is another aspect that poses difficulties. Students need to learn how to
introduce their topic, provide background information, present their argument, and conclude
with a powerful statement. Transition words and phrases become crucial in maintaining the flow
and ensuring a seamless progression of ideas.
Additionally, students may face challenges in addressing counterarguments effectively.
Acknowledging opposing views and providing compelling rebuttals demonstrates a depth of
understanding and strengthens the overall persuasive appeal.
Overall, the difficulty of writing a persuasive essay for 7th grade lies in the need for a
comprehensive understanding of the topic, refined research and critical thinking skills, and the
ability to articulate a persuasive argument using appropriate language for the grade level.

L. A. Confidential Theme
Focus On L.A. Confidential
L.A. Confidential is a gorgeous, but tough throwback that did right things to
Hollywood. Despite the film breaking most of today s filmmaking rules, it is
considered as one film that will keep the audience glued on the screen. The film
cited its origin from James Elroy s nearly impossible to film cult novel. The film
raises stars with three main characters. The film embroils the three characters in a
vigorously surprising tale, which puts them in a clichГ© free true mystery. The
movie brings out the true mystery rather that the thriller revealing all the endless
complications.
L.A. Confidential comes out with a full expanse of 1950s Los Angeles, a film noir
paradise of knee weakening glamor and smoldering evilly blended together with little
dirty secret. The main theme the film focuses on is the form of corruption that has
deep roots in the town. Wish fulfilling whores, drugs, mobsters and brutally racist
cops resemble the movie stars. The actors all have the ambition of dragging the movie
to the gutter; the films reach its best in terms of achievement.
In relation to the often brutal, morally complicated, ugly and often violent reality,
L.A. Confidential is similar in setting to Unforgiven. The themes of the two films

Confidential and Unforgiven , the two films brings out the image of the movie
industry as an open ground where views and opinions are usually given out. The
movie business is brought out as a common ground where folks with the same interest
are brought together to show the entire community how dirty business and evil deals
are usually carried out. Specifically, L.A. Confidential shows how the police are
racists and the drug deals that surround the entire department. Whores are shown and
how they do their businesses too. On the other hand, Unforgiven brings out the
murder and disrespect for women. The entire themes blend to bring out the picture of

The San Francisco Earthquakes Analysis
The San Francisco Earthquakes
The effects of the writer s impression vary depending on who s reading it. They
leave a tone that takes charge of their emotions, and puts it into a perspective which
the readers can understand. Having a different set of imagery for their stories, the
writers continue discussing about the same topic. Twain and London s words become
vivid to the readers, and leave a very distinguished imagery of the setting.
Jack London, a citizen of San Francisco who s lived there between 20 30 years; he

Twain mainly focused on the people, mostly because he found them to be much more
interesting than the buildings. He viewed the people, and realized how everyone has
the same reaction when it comes to an earthquake. So seeing it from a first person
perspective, anyone is to learn what to do in a dangerous situation such as the one
that occurred. Being new and not understanding anything, he became fully aware no
matter what religion, gender, color, or age, if a building begins to shake while the
person is inside, get out.
Twain and London both different in tone; while seemed to be excited, the other one
seems to be serious. One cares about the effects of the people, while the other matters
on the buildings. Although both topics are the same, they change due to the fact that
one is a visitor and the other has lived there since the moment they were born. No
matter what opposite opinions they had on the situation, both stories were created

The X Ray Vision Of Superman
It s a bird! It s a plane! It s Superman! In 1938, Action Comics #1, released the first
Superman comic to the public. Superman, also known as Kal El, has shown many
different powers since his first debut in 1938. This paper will discuss various topics
about four of his major powers and explain why they are all impossible for anyone to
achieve in real life. Supermans four major powers that will be discussed in this paper
are X ray vision, being able to fly, super strength, and invulnerability.
The X ray was first discovered in 1895 by a German physicist named W.C. Roentgen
( The Discovery ). W.C. Roentgen was working in a lab one day in 1895 and
decided to send a high electrical current through a cathode ray filled with special
gas. He realized that a dim green colored light was being produced, and decided to
hold the cathode ray just above his wife s hand. When he did this he observed that
the light was able to penetrate human skin, but would leave all the bones visible.
There is a picture below of the X ray of W.C. Roentgen s wife s hand ( The Discovery
). He named it the X ray because he did not know the identity of what kind of ray it
was. He just named it X, because of its use in solving unknowns in algebraic
equations ( The Discovery ).
However, there are some limitations on this Superman power in both the laws of
physics and in the laws of the human body. The first restriction is that in an X ray,
tiny rays will pass through any atoms that don t have enough mass

For the same time frame, Tyson has produced and sold over 17.4 Million pounds

types of products will always receive sizing complaints based on the volume and
the design of the product. For this product, the piece count range is slightly larger
than other tenderloin specs. The piece count range must fall within 40 to 60 pieces
per case with a target of 50. The total piece count will have an effect on the average
size per piece. Let s say production is running closer to 40 pieces on average. This

How Americanism Is The American Of American
Imperialism...
Americanism is what Americans believe in, their values. Due to the nature of
America s foundation defining a clear cut characteristic of an American and the
motivations behind his actions is difficult. Yet the uniqueness of identifying only
some factors of the incentive behind American expansionism and success is definition
of an American. In the 1800s Americans wished for westward expansion an idea of a
frontier. Expansion had not been a new idea, but continuing the pattern of American
history beginning when the first settlers arrived on shore. The drive for westward
expansion was influenced by Puritan utopianism, revolutionary republicanism, and

It was at first a means of survival, but then a way of life as good land was easily
obtained. The farmer thus became a Jack of all trades due to the fact that he could
live completely off his land and depend only on himself. He attained skills needed
and learned to fix problems and was an inventor when new challenges arose. Soon
though, religious indifference took hold of the colonies and the people became more
concerned with making money once they understood that crops could grow and the
colonists could become successful. The first Americans were all similar in rank no
nobility lived in colonial America. The early colonist could not relate to European
customs after some time; in Europe the colonist had nothing. However, in America he
had opportunities that would never arise in Britain. Through hard work, a man could
rise in the ranks of America and become successful. As Puritans arrived and
encountered Native Americans, the idea of a perfect society founded on Puritan
beliefs compelled many to attempt converting the natives. Puritans developed an
imaginary ideathat natives voluntarily invited them to North America. Native people
were reluctant to give up their language, culture, and family for a new religion
imposed upon them by foreigners. Tribes would fight against the expanding Atlantic
colonies hoping to encourage the colonists to leave the land.
Magna Carta Advantages
The rights of English citizens were strengthened from Magna Carta in 1215, by the
Parliament in 1265, and in 1689 with the English Bill of Rights. In 1215, Magna
Carta Came along where The English people had won the right to participate in their
government only after a long struggle, the key victory to this struggle being the
signing of Magna Carta, or Great Charter, by King John in 1215 which established
the idea that the power of the monarch, or ruler, was limited. Not even the king was
above the law. (Ch. 4, Section 3). This evidence from the text states how the English
people won their right to participate in the government. In the text, it says The next
major victory was the founding of Parliament in 1265. The Parliament was

penguins, and various types of birds. To tell you some things about these animals,
despite his name, Mrs. Chippy was a striped tabby tomcat. After one month of having

Gun Laws And The United States Of America
Gun Laws Introduction: On December 14th 2012, a young teenager named Adam
Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School, shot and killed 20 first grade
children and 6 teachers before taking his own life. Adam Lanza s mother was found
to be dead with 4 gunshot wounds in the head on the same day. The tragic and
devastating incident had once again raised the debate about gun control in the United
States of America. Although many American citizens have been demanding stricter
gun laws ever since (not just the recent Sandy Hook incident but many mass
shootings before), the gun enthusiasts and the National Rifle Association (NRA) as
well as the humongous gun companies are still putting pressure on the government,
making it harder for the president to establish new gun control. President Obama
has even stated himself that America was the only countries without adequate gun
safety law. He also emphasized that it was upsetting for him for not being able to
resolve the issue and that he would not stop until he set up better gun laws. This
essay will argue why it is important to establish better gun laws in USA. It is clear
that more guns leads to more deaths. A research conducted by Harvard Injury
Control Research Center shows that where there are more guns, there is a high risk
of homicide across states in USA (assault, robbery, quarrel...). Moreover, the mortality
rate related to firearm accident in 4 states with the most guns are 4 times higher than
4 states with the fewest guns
Homeopathy In The Gilded Age Essay
Everybody hates going to the doctors. I can agree with this statement I also agree
that most people do indeed hate going to the doctors. But without them there would
be outbreaks and illness all over the place causing many fatalities. I am focused on
the Gilded age, one man I am particularly interested and focused on is Samuel
Hahnemann. Samuel was the creator of homeopathy. He believed that if you gave a
healthy person small doses of an illness their body would fight it off and build an
immunization and adapt to the real illness. This is where his theory Like cures like
comes from. Homeopathy was birthed of the idea Like cure like and went on to have
effects on all sorts of medicines and cures throughout the Gilded age. A treatment of...

It all started when Hahnemann first exposed the belief to himself with Peruvian
bark. This caused symptoms of Malaria and it caused his body to adapt to the
chills, fever and other symptoms that malaria would cause. He got excited for a
while he only tested on himself but then moved on to do trials on his family. Also
along the way he started to gain fans, a group of followers that were willing to let
him test with them. The second treatment he wanted to find a cure for was small
pox. He had no clue of how to do so, but he gave one thing a try. He injected small
portions of cow pox to his wife. She began to get symptoms yes they were less
severe but this gave him a chance to create a section of homeopathy for small pox, a
huge breakthrough for medicine in this time. The bigger name medical schools and
physicians did not support Hahnemann. They believe that his methods were not
reliable and did not like that he could only put out one cure at a time and when he
gave out the medicine he only did so in small portions to where they could not get the
customers to pay high amounts limiting their

Every once in a while we come across facts that change our perspective of the world.
One such fact is the existence of countries which when put together can probably

cultures and picturesque locales.

the Pacific Ocean. The total land area of the islands of Tuvalu is 26 square

but became independent in 1978. Tourism is not very significant due to the location
of the island. In 2010, less than 2,000 visitors came to Tuvalu, with 65% of them
coming for business. The official languages are Tuvaluan and English.
5.San Marino.
The Republic of San Marino, also known as the Most Serene Republic of San

world with one of the highest living standards. Iceland is a member of the United
Nations, NATO and the European Economic Area, as well as many other international
organizations. Is the banking industry responsible for the economic disaster of
Iceland?
Until the 80 s, Iceland was a more regulated economy with many interventions by the
state. Since then, the Icelandic economy has been unbundled and increasingly
liberalized. Since 1991, many state enterprises were successfully privatized. With the

Iceland s economic crisis shares a common bond with those that have infected other
developed economies recently: all have banking systems heavily engaged in the
practice of maturity mismatching. In other words, Icelandic banks issued short term
liabilities in order to invest in long term assets, a practice which created funding gaps
(i.e., liabilities less assets) of a given maturity for the three largest Icelandic banks
Kaupthing, Glitnir, and Landsbanki.
Thus, the banking system had to continuously roll over (renew) their short term
liabilities until their long term assets fully matured. If an event arose whereby
Icelandic banks failed to find new borrowers to continue rolling over their liabilities,
they could face a liquidity crisis and, more importantly, spark the collapse of the
Icelandic financial system; recent events have borne out this exact scenario.
The Icelandic banking collapse resulted from two major causes: inadequate regulation
of its central bank, and the inadequate size of their cash value of their banks.
Regarding the first, the great error of the bank controller was to focus control efforts
on the fight against inflation. This created an atmosphere conducive to speculators
who had their money in Iceland, and who were attracted by the extremely high
interest rates and a

The Foundling Museum
To what extent has the Foundling Museum uncovered the hidden histories of
Georgian London s poverty stricken families?
Word Count: 1432
Since 2004 the Foundling Museum has stood as a site to memorialise the Georgian
Foundling Hospital; this institution cared for London s abandoned children,
foundlings. In a recent podcast, Laura Gowing described the stories of these children
and their mothers as hidden histories . She claims that the Foundling Museum offers a
narrative for figures who are otherwise overlooked by historians. This essay will
assess Gowing s statement by first discussing the way in which the museum presents
the hospital s abandoned children. Here, a particular focus on temporary exhibitions
will show how the narrative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Historians have previously disregarded the lives of these women out of belief that
they were objects of male sexual aggression with no sexual desire or expression of
their own . The museum s permanent display of these unfortunate women is limited
to their petitions, which were written in hope that the staff would allow their child to
be admitted into the hospital. Although the temporary exhibition, The Fallen Woman
has attempted to correct this through a sound installation, intended to give these
women a voice, its source remains founded upon petitions. This means that the ability
of the museum to uncover the history of unfortunate women is already limited by the
availability of sources. Yet instead of using these petitions to gain as much
information about these women as possible, the museum chooses to refer to them
only in relation to foundling children. This ignores the context in which these
mothers signed their petitions. Thus we must rely on alternate sources of information
to understand the lives of these mothers. Evans article on London s mass of
unfortunate women uses the Foundling Hospital petitions for such a purpose. She
cites petitions in which women express their great distress in handing over their
children. They claim that factors such as illegitimacy and poor state of health is what
forced them to make this decision. If Evans has shown that such details of these
The Factors And Causes Of Jews During The Black Death
Jews flocked in even larger numbers to Poland during the Black Death, which was a
widespread viral epidemic that killed approximately 200 millions Jews in Eurasia
and Western Europe. It was reported that locals believed Toledo Rabbinical Judeans
had concocted a plot to murder others and had sent his henchman to neighboring
countries to deliver the virus.
By the 16th century, around 80% of the world s Jewish population had resided in
Polish territory. The Jewish people had an unprecedented amount of freedom. With
their own operating legislative councils, they had also been given the freedom to
openly worship, create Jewish learning centers, and wear traditional garb, that was
otherwise banned in other regions of the world. Though in 1648, steadfast Jewish life
came to a halt. Rioters and protesters with blood libel began sweeping through towns
due to pent up resentment of new Ukrainian leader, Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
Approximately 20,000 Jews were murdered in their own streets and mass murdered
again 10 years later, under another Cossack revolt.
In the later half of the 18th century, Poland s governmental system began to collapse.
Due to an appointed constitutional monarchy and rules allowing only unanimous
decisions in order for legislative approval, the county began to crumble. Neighboring
rulers of Catherine II of Russia, Frederick II of Prussia and Joseph II of Austria,
began to take a keen interest in assuming control over the land. After being out battled

after speaking with a white woman. He was from Chicago, the North of America
where mixing of the races was normal. In 1955, he went to Mississippi to visit his
Great Uncle Mose Wright, who lived near the town of Money, Mississippi. As we
know there is strict segregation of blacks and whites in the state. Since Emmett
was from the North, he was unaware of the law and was not impressed by it. After
his Cousin Jones had seen Till s class photograph, Till had stated that the white
children were his friends, he had also claimed that the picture of a white girl,

Chief Mckinley And Field Training Officers
I asked Chief McKinley what positions he felt were the most influential in the
department. Chief McKinley believes that Sergeants and Field Training Officers
(FTO) are the two most important roles in the department. Both positions are
leadership positions and set the culture for the department. Sergeants work closing
with patrol and have an influence over them, whether they want to admit it or not.
Sergeants must be aware that officers look to them for guidance and mimic their
attitude. This is why it is imperative for Sergeants to display a professional attitude
at all time. The same can be said for Field Training Officers. FTO s are responsible
for laying the ground work as the example of how to act with the public, suspects,
victims, and fellow employees. Both positions must be professional at all times.
Chief McKinley stated that patrol officers also face a high degree of liability.
Some of the highest forms of liability come in operating a patrol vehicle, use of
force, and search and seizure. Chief McKinley also made mention that some officers
have the misconception that if they get sued, the city will back them. Chief
McKinley stressed that it was important for officers to understand that if they act out
of the scope of the department s general orders, they may not be backed by the city
in criminal or civil courts. Policepursuits are a common liability for departments and
the operating officer. These particular suits generally allege negligence on behalf of

1.56. Discuss the agency problem in detail.
An agent is hired by the principal to perform some duty that benefits the needs of the
principal. The agency problem is an issue that occurs when the agents use their
authority to make decisions in their own interest at the expense of the principals. For
example, company managers (agents) were put in place to make decisions that
maximize the wealth of the shareholders (principals) but may instead engage in
empire building or may make inefficient company decisions for job security. In order
to mitigate these potential agency problems, several mechanisms have evolved.
These include directly tying the compensation of managers to the success of the
firm; oversight and influence by the board of directors as well as outsiders such as
security analysts, creditors, or large institutional investors; the threat of a proxy
contest by unhappy shareholders to replace the current management team; or the
threat of takeover by another firm. However, most of these mechanisms have a low
chance of success or can create other problems. The best mechanism that prevents
agency problems is the threat of takeover by another firm. If the
Reflection Of The Movie Remember The Titans
The movie I selected was Remember The Titans (2000). The movie was about
leadership, teamwork, and overcoming obstacles. Remember The Titans took place
in Alexandria, Virginia Where one high school became integrated with blacks and
whites forming T.C. Williams High school. The football team at the school for the
first time had blacks and whites doing the same sport together. The school board
fired Coach Yoast from being head coach and hired a new head coach named
Coach Boone who was African American. This led to problems with white families
since they did not want a black coaching their kids and it caused problems for
Coach Boone. However, after an incident with the white football players Coach
Boone compromised with Coach Yoast allowing him to be the defensive
coordinator in hopes of creating some peace in the tense time. As the summer
came to an end football camp began. At football camp the audiences experiences
the problems the black football players had with chemistry because of racism and
hatred from their white teammates. However in the end of camp the team became
brothers and does not see a person by their skin but what s on the inside. The boys
were ready for football yet when they started school the Titans had to face the
hardships of school and realize not everyone at school was as optimistic as they
were which lead to more turmoil inside the team due to racism. Thankfully as time
went on their bond grew and the team went on to become undefeated as well as win
the state championship. The main characters in Remember The Titans were Coach
Boone, Coach Yoast, Gerry Bertier, and Julius Campbell. Coach Boone was the head
coach for the Titans, Coach Yoast was the ex head coach and was the defensive
coordinator for the Titans, Gerry Bertier was the All American on the team and was
the main white football player throughout the movie, and Julius Campbell was the
main black football player on the Titans. All of these characters showed leadership
throughout the movie. Coach Boone showed his leadership by forcing others to do
what he wants no matter the cost. Multiple times throughout the movie the audience
watches Coach Boone ordering players to run, redo a play, burpees and other
commands. Coach
Finding The Absorbance Value And T % Of Cobalt
OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of the experiment was to find the absorbance value and T% of cobalt (II)
nitrate solutions at various wavelengths. Using Beer s law to determine the
concentration of an unknown cobalt (II) nitrate solution with the %T and A values of
the known Cobalt (II) nitrate concentrations.
THEORY:
The purpose of this experiment is to find out if we can identify an unknown Cobalt
(II) nitrate concentration by using Calorimetry. Calorimetry involves the use of light
to determine a specific solute in solution (Sullivan 238).A given molecule absorbs
particular frequencies of light and passes others. If we are able to determine the
degree in which various frequencies are absorbed, the population or concentration of
a given molecule in solution can be determined. In this experiment we are trying to
find out the visible spectrum of the known Cobalt (II) nitrate solution by using
absorption versus the wavelengths to determine the analytical wavelength. Once the
analytical wavelength is found we can use that to identify the unknown Cobalt (II)
nitrate solution, by using the Beer s law.
Beer s Law is a direct liner relationship between the absorbance of light are a
selected wavelength and the concentration the absorbing species in the solution.
(Sullivan 241). Beer s Law shows a relationship between several concentrations. To
determine if the determine our data consistent with Beer s law, we will plot a graph
of absorbance versus concentration with a linear regression
Paris Was Becoming The World s Hub For Art Innovators
Beginning towards the end of the nineteenth century, Paris was becoming the world
s hub for art innovators; a place that is widely regarded as the birthplace of modern
art. Artists of all disciplines, from sculptors to musicians, made their way to this city
to pursue their passions in a community of like minded and passionate individuals.
These artists came from all over the world, in a time before the world was made flat
with commercial aviation. Once they arrived, they often found themselves in
suboptimal living conditions, sometimes even lacking running water. Despite these
obstacles, Montmartre, a hillside neighborhood on the north bank of Paris, managed
to draw an impressive artistic crowd, and would eventually foster the birth of... Show

This type of artistic suppression was happening all over the world in varying
degrees. It drove many artists out of their homelands to places that were more
accepting of their artistic expression. Although Kandinsky didn t find himself in the
company of the cubists of Montmartre, his story demonstrates the artistic
atmosphere of the world at the time. Many artists were eager to find a haven where
they could freely express themselves in the company of like minded individuals, and
to many of them, that place was Montmartre. Although there were certainly critics of
modern artists within Paris itself, their general response to the artistic pioneers was
more akin to arrogant dismissal as opposed to the outright suppression of places such
as Russia. Another factor to consider is the somewhat overlooked economic theory
of knowledge spillover. As described by Jane Jacobs in the 1960 s, it explains the
obscure rise of particular industries in certain cities. This concept seeks to prescribe a
name to the process of like minded individuals who live together in a community
sharing ideas with each other in casual conversations and various other exchanges.
Some examples include the steel industry of Pittsburgh, the technology industry of
San Francisco, and more pertinently, the art industry in Paris at the turn of the
twentieth century. The theory claims that innovations arise most quickly in areas
How Does George Orwell Use Literary Techniques In 1984
1984 Essay
In his novel 1984, how does George Orwell use literary techniques in order to
position readers to consider Government Control?
1984 is a novel that was published by George Orwell in 1949. Orwell uses different
literary techniques throughout the novel to show the reader how he saw the future in
thirty five years time. To show manipulation, power, rebellionand loyalty, Orwell
uses different literary techniques to show the reader the key ideas of the novel.
The reader can tell from the start of the novel that the novel has a boring and bleak
society because the first few words of the novel read It was a bright cold day
(Orwell, 1949) which shows that it is not a happy society. The novel was set in
Oceania, 1984 which would have been the future at the time the novel was written,
since 1984 was written in 1948.
Manipulation is a big part of 1984. Orwell uses many different techniques to show
every way the government is controlling the people both psychologically and
physically as shown in detail through Winston. There is proof of this when Orwell
uses repetition when Winston starts shouting Do it to Julia! Do it to Julia! Not Me!
Julia! I don t care what you do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is nothing anyone can do if the party decide to do something that the public
do not like. Orwell uses imagery to prove that when Nothing was gone from the
room except his mother and sister ,(Orwell, 1949) this really shows the power that
the party had over the people. The real power of the party was shown at the end of
the novel when someone as strong minded as Winston gave up, he gave up and
accepted that he loved Big Brother (Orwell, 1949). Orwell uses self reflection to
recap all of Winston s struggles throughout the novel. The power of government
control has been reached after Orwell proved that someone as rebellious as Winston
has accepted

In the early 1940s, the world was drawn into another world war that pitted the allied
forces against both Nazi Germany in the European theater and the Japanese in the
Pacific theater. The attack on Pearl Harbor was the final straw that convinced the
United States to enter against both the Germans and the Japanese. With the two
opposing forces having most of their conquered territory right on the ocean,
especially the island campaigns of the Japanese, it became imperative for the
amphibious landings of the Marines to be perfected and two Marine officers were
tasked.

High Class And Middle Class
We all have to start somewhere when we move to a new town, new state or even a
new country. We all start from the bottom and start to work our way up as we learn
to improve ourselves to move classes in the American system. In America we either
belong to the lower class, middle class or upper class. We are classified either by
our: jobs, education, aspirations, budgets and values. But most of us fit into the
middle class, because many have started from the lower class and worked their way
up to middle class, thanks to the mobility between social classes. There is mobility in
the U.S. because like my father who came from Mexico to look for a better future
for my mom and two children found mobility to move from lower class to middle
class. My father started from the lower class and worked his way up to middle class
and got his construction license and finally was a contractor assistant for a
construction company in Arizona. In the United States there is three social classes.
There is a lower class nation, middle class, and the upper classnation. The lower
class is the working class the blue collar , the middle class is the white collar jobs
and the upper class is the independently wealthy class. In the united states there is
more people that fit into the middle class than into any of the other two social
classes. In the article Middle Class In America by the U.S. Department of Commerce
states that, Middle class families are defined by their aspirations more than their
Background Scheme Of Your Home

has its rewards too. No, we are not talking of the sweet satisfaction that comes at
the end of the process, but during it. Planning for various elements of dГ©cor is a

Home colours Isn t it wonderful to see the bare walls coming to life just by the

bright face of their home steeped in the colours of joy. Choosing perfect home
colours involve a few more steps then just choosing the right shade. These are
important for the refreshing look of the façade and interior of your house. Let s
find out what are these aspects that you need to focus on. Choose colours that do
not drastically fade with an exposure to the harsh sunlight. It should be able to
protect your exterior walls from rain and must be easy to maintain. Oil and acrylic
latex based paints are favoured for their water resistant nature and durability. A
glossy paint is best avoided for the exterior. In a moderate proportion these rules
also apply in the interiors as well. Here however, you have greater liberty of
choosing for various finishes and a reasonable amount of sheen on the particular
walls or ceilings is not discouraged. Exterior and interior colour palette White is a

Changes And Continuities In Afro-Eurasia
The Afro Eurasia long distance trade brought many new changes to the world, and
strengthened some old life styles. Changes such as the spread of Empires and
Religions, the innovation of technologies, and new trade routes brought new and
challenging adventures to the Afro Eurasia world. Some continuities were, the use
of the multiple trade routes, and mass produce. The use of the Indian Ocean, and
the Mediterranean Sea let merchants travel to expand trade. With use of the silk
road, and the sand roads, merchants brought mass produce and luxury items like
silk, cotton, porcelain, and spices to trade for and with. Inter regional trade involved
the Arabs, Africans, and Indians into trade and purchase more goods, which
expanded trade even more. Another discovery that played a major role in trade was
the understanding and use of ocean currents and seasonal monsoons. Nature played a
role in allowing the people to plan their travel dates more accurately and safely. Africa
and Egypt became wealthy and powerful with their use of trade and being able to tax

Sheltering Sky versus Blood Meridian Essay
Extreme circumstances bring about substantial changes in people. At least that is
what Paul Bowles and Cormac McCarthy seem to be saying in the writing of their
respective books, The Sheltering Sky and Blood Meridian. Both authors place their
characters in difficult locations, dealing with difficult people and expect them to
emerge changed, for better or for worse. In The Sheltering Sky, Bowles takes his
American trio and places them in the desert landsof the African continent where the
wide, dry impossibly desolate terrain takes its toll on their minds and bodies.
Likewise, McCarthy takes his ragged bunchof marauders, most prominently the Kid,
and has them wandering the massive expanse of the untamed west. This convention

Both parties chance upon characters, both eccentric and dangerous, and all involved
seem to get themselves into the most impossible situations imaginable. Apparently
the point Bowles and McCarthy are trying to convey to the reader is that great change
and substantial inner growth can only come about through intense emotional stress
and physical challenge.
Kit, in The Sheltering Sky, learns some very interesting things about herself
through the course of our travels with her. She starts out as Port s wife, a secondary
character of sorts, afraid to voice her opinions on virtually everything. We have the
inside track on her thought s and feelings though, and are privy to the fact that she
is unhappy not only with her situation and current location, but also with her
marriage and identity. We get our first glimpse of her realization of these problems
on her train ride with Tunner, as Port is traveling with the Lyles. Her spontaneous
affair with Tunner is a symptom of her unhappiness and is the beginning of a
downward spiral that takes her to the brink of insanity and far beyond. We see the
beginning of her growth in her encounter in the Fourth Class cabin of the train when
see comes in close contact with the miserable peasant folk and she realizes that aside
from their cultural differences she is no better than these simple folk and in some
ways she is far worse. As her story progresses we, the reader, get to see the progress
of her downfall due to the
Original Affluent Society
To be honest, I am not sure there is a better definition , as both terms have at least a
part to play in the term of Hunter Gatherer . For example, in Sahlins article,
Original Affluent Society it is mentioned that the hunter gatherer is seemingly
always on the brink of starvation, yet expends very little energy in their way of life
(Sahlins 2006: 79). So, there is a huge positive, as well as a huge negative. In the
Woodburn article, it is said that in some forms of hunter gatherer (where the return
is immediate, rather than delayed) societies there is a greater distribution of wealth,
of power, and of prestige. These are what he referred to as egalitarian societies
(Woodburn, 1982). That would indicate a huge positive. But in my mind s... Show

egalitarian societies of the hunter gatherer aspect of human culture make up the
better of the two definitions. While Sahlins speaks of the highlights of nomadic
life, the focus (from my perspective) seems to be on the fact that they use very little
energy in relation to civilized man . This focus I feel fails to capture the simplistic
elegance of the nomadic people. That they all share in the life, all get an equal

succeed. DirecTV commercials are known to target a male audience. In this particular

introducing Peyton Manningand Really High Voice Manning. Peyton Manning owns
DirecTV, has a deep voice, and wears a dark sharp suit. Whereas Really High Voice
Manning does not own DirecTV, has a high voice, and wears wrinkled khakis with a
white and yellow striped polo. The commercial further shows each of their lifestyles
with and without DirecTV. Peyton Manning is seen watching the footballgames
through his mobile phone. He watches in a locker room before a game and on his
team bus. On the contrary Really High Voice Manning is part of a singing
barbershop quartet and watches the football games from the gym locker. The
commercial ends with Peyton Manning saying not to be like Really High Voice

using Peyton Manning s sense of credibility, manliness, and lifestyle to attract their
male audience. One of the appeals towards ethos is Peyton Manning s sense of
credibility. Peyton Manning is part of the NFL, National Football League. He holds a
celebrity status among the sports world. Using a famous football player such as

The Relationship Between Energy And Energy Security Risk
The Relationship between energy independence, in the form of Energy Security Risk
points, and Shale Gas Production in the United States.
By Md Akram Hossain
Abstract
Fracking is a type of drilling technique that has been used commercially for almost
65 years. Hydraulic fracking is also being used to stimulate new production from
older wells. The combination of advanced hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling,
utilizing state of the art technology, is mostly responsible for todays booming US oil
and natural gas production. This paper investigates the relationship between energy
independence in the form of Energy Security Risk (ESR) points and Shale gas
production in the US. The regression showed that there was a positive relationship
between shale gas production and ESR, contrary to theory suggested in the paper.
Introduction:
This research paper aims to find out the relationship between energy independence,
The research question is based upon the widely discussed topic of shale fracking
through hydraulic methods. Shale fracking is a complicated process, where
hydraulic pipes are inserted deep under the ground and then chemicals are released
to crack the rocks in order to obtain natural gas. In this process, harmful chemicals
are released, and the ecosystem gets negatively affected from surface spill off of
toxic wastes. Although this process is a bit controversial, there are a number of
people who actually support this methodology. A major reason for supporting

Zinc Is More Corrosion-Resistant
Galvanising is the coating of iron objects with a thin layer of more active metal such
as zinc , similar to sacrificial anode (Bbc.co.uk, 2015). Zinc is more corrosion
resistant than iron because its oxide, ZnO, adheres to the surface of the metal rather
than exposing the zinc to the atmosphere (Tinaroth, 2013). This prevents oxygenand
water from reaching the ironunderneath but the zincalso acts as a sacrificial metal
(Tinaroth, 2013). The zinc will lose electrons (undergoes oxidation) in preference to
iron and hence, sacrificing itself to prevent the rusting of iron (Tinaroth, 2013). Iron
that is coated with zinc (or any other more reactive metal on the activity series) is
protected, even if the surface is scratched, unlike sacrificial

political, religious, and cultural upheaval. It also placed the structures and beliefs that
would definitely continue out in the modern era. Reformers like John Calvin and
Martin Luther also contributed a main part in the reformation. They also altered the
Catholic Churchs ability to define Christian practice. They mainly aligned for
religious and political redistribution of power into the hands of the Bible and
pamphlet. The redistribution triggered wars that were called counter reformation.
The Catholic Church s delayed, but forceful response to the protestants. The

landscape is the main physical symbol from his childhood. The only thing very
noticeable about Nebraska was that it was still, all day long, Nebraska. As stated in

teaching, research, leadership, professionalism, and culture. These
accomplishments, over the course of my undergraduate career, will be proven
using previous completed clinical logs that span sophomore, junior, and senior year
in the nursing program. Critical Thinking Sophomore Year During sophomore year,
this was the beginning of my critical thinking in the clinical setting. This first year,
pre clinical was a time spent gathering patient information and assessment data to
create a basic care plan specific to the designated patient. After the care plan was
made, I listed nursing interventions, expected outcomes and goals in relation to each
patient. These basic care plans were then changed, after having patient interaction,
and made more detailed to the patient and the data I gathered during the actual
clinical. To help me prioritize my patient s care, I used Maslow s Hierarchy of
needs, and nursing theorists were then use to help guide the care I gave. An example
of this is from my fundamentals clinical, where I had a 58 year old male patient with
an infection

  • 1. Persuasive Essay 7Th Grade Writing a persuasive essay for a 7th-grade level can present a unique set of challenges. At this stage, students are expected to demonstrate a deeper understanding of their chosen topic while effectively persuading their audience. Crafting a compelling argument requires not only a solid grasp of the subject matter but also the ability to organize thoughts coherently. For a 7th-grade persuasive essay, students need to develop a clear thesis statement and support it with well-researched evidence. This requires honing research skills and critical thinking abilities. Furthermore, the language used should be appropriate for the target audience, striking a balance between sophistication and simplicity. Structuring the essay is another aspect that poses difficulties. Students need to learn how to introduce their topic, provide background information, present their argument, and conclude with a powerful statement. Transition words and phrases become crucial in maintaining the flow and ensuring a seamless progression of ideas. Additionally, students may face challenges in addressing counterarguments effectively. Acknowledging opposing views and providing compelling rebuttals demonstrates a depth of understanding and strengthens the overall persuasive appeal. Overall, the difficulty of writing a persuasive essay for 7th grade lies in the need for a comprehensive understanding of the topic, refined research and critical thinking skills, and the ability to articulate a persuasive argument using appropriate language for the grade level. • 2. L. A. Confidential Theme Focus On L.A. Confidential L.A. Confidential is a gorgeous, but tough throwback that did right things to Hollywood. Despite the film breaking most of today s filmmaking rules, it is considered as one film that will keep the audience glued on the screen. The film cited its origin from James Elroy s nearly impossible to film cult novel. The film raises stars with three main characters. The film embroils the three characters in a vigorously surprising tale, which puts them in a clichГ© free true mystery. The movie brings out the true mystery rather that the thriller revealing all the endless complications. L.A. Confidential comes out with a full expanse of 1950s Los Angeles, a film noir paradise of knee weakening glamor and smoldering evilly blended together with little dirty secret. The main theme the film focuses on is the form of corruption that has deep roots in the town. Wish fulfilling whores, drugs, mobsters and brutally racist cops resemble the movie stars. The actors all have the ambition of dragging the movie to the gutter; the films reach its best in terms of achievement. Having a different set of imagery for their stories, the writers continue discussing about the same topic. Twain and London s words become vivid to the readers, and leave a very distinguished imagery of the setting. Jack London, a citizen of San Francisco who s lived there between 20 30 years; he very well knows San Francisco buildings and areas such as the industrial section, the dwelling houses on its outskirts, and the palaces of the nabobs. Twain mainly focused on the people, mostly because he found them to be much more interesting than the buildings. He viewed the people, and realized how everyone has the same reaction when it comes to an earthquake. So seeing it from a first person perspective, anyone is to learn what to do in a dangerous situation such as the one that occurred. Being new and not understanding anything, he became fully aware no matter what religion, gender, color, or age, if a building begins to shake while the person is inside, get out. Twain and London both different in tone; while seemed to be excited, the other one seems to be serious. One cares about the effects of the people, while the other matters on the buildings. Although both topics are the same, they change due to the fact that one is a visitor and the other has lived there since the moment they were born. No matter what opposite opinions they had on the situation, both stories were created from their own
  • 4. The X Ray Vision Of Superman It s a bird! It s a plane! It s Superman! In 1938, Action Comics #1, released the first Superman comic to the public. Superman, also known as Kal El, has shown many different powers since his first debut in 1938. This paper will discuss various topics about four of his major powers and explain why they are all impossible for anyone to achieve in real life. Supermans four major powers that will be discussed in this paper are X ray vision, being able to fly, super strength, and invulnerability. The X ray was first discovered in 1895 by a German physicist named W.C. Roentgen ( The Discovery ). W.C. Roentgen was working in a lab one day in 1895 and decided to send a high electrical current through a cathode ray filled with special gas. He realized that a dim green colored light was being produced, and decided to hold the cathode ray just above his wife s hand. When he did this he observed that the light was able to penetrate human skin, but would leave all the bones visible. There is a picture below of the X ray of W.C. Roentgen s wife s hand ( The Discovery ). He named it the X ray because he did not know the identity of what kind of ray it was. He just named it X, because of its use in solving unknowns in algebraic equations ( The Discovery ). However, there are some limitations on this Superman power in both the laws of physics and in the laws of the human body. The first restriction is that in an X ray, tiny rays will pass through any atoms that don t have enough mass

Gun Laws And The United States Of America Gun Laws Introduction: On December 14th 2012, a young teenager named Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School, shot and killed 20 first grade children and 6 teachers before taking his own life. Adam Lanza s mother was found to be dead with 4 gunshot wounds in the head on the same day. The tragic and devastating incident had once again raised the debate about gun control in the United States of America. Although many American citizens have been demanding stricter gun laws ever since (not just the recent Sandy Hook incident but many mass shootings before), the gun enthusiasts and the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as the humongous gun companies are still putting pressure on the government, making it harder for the president to establish new gun control. President Obama has even stated himself that America was the only countries without adequate gun safety law. He also emphasized that it was upsetting for him for not being able to resolve the issue and that he would not stop until he set up better gun laws. This essay will argue why it is important to establish better gun laws in USA. It is clear that more guns leads to more deaths. A research conducted by Harvard Injury Control Research Center shows that where there are more guns, there is a high risk of homicide across states in USA (assault, robbery, quarrel...). Moreover, the mortality rate related to firearm accident in 4 states with the most guns are 4 times higher than 4 states with the fewest guns

Also along the way he started to gain fans, a group of followers that were willing to let him test with them. The second treatment he wanted to find a cure for was small pox. Iceland s economic crisis shares a common bond with those that have infected other developed economies recently: all have banking systems heavily engaged in the practice of maturity mismatching. In other words, Icelandic banks issued short term liabilities in order to invest in long term assets, a practice which created funding gaps (i.e., liabilities less assets) of a given maturity for the three largest Icelandic banks Kaupthing, Glitnir, and Landsbanki. Thus, the banking system had to continuously roll over (renew) their short term liabilities until their long term assets fully matured. If an event arose whereby Icelandic banks failed to find new borrowers to continue rolling over their liabilities, they could face a liquidity crisis and, more importantly, spark the collapse of the Icelandic financial system; recent events have borne out this exact scenario. The Icelandic banking collapse resulted from two major causes: inadequate regulation of its central bank, and the inadequate size of their cash value of their banks. Regarding the first, the great error of the bank controller was to focus control efforts on the fight against inflation. This created an atmosphere conducive to speculators who had their money in Iceland, and who were attracted by the extremely high interest rates and a

Historians have previously disregarded the lives of these women out of belief that they were objects of male sexual aggression with no sexual desire or expression of their own . The museum s permanent display of these unfortunate women is limited to their petitions, which were written in hope that the staff would allow their child to be admitted into the hospital. Although the temporary exhibition, The Fallen Woman has attempted to correct this through a sound installation, intended to give these women a voice, its source remains founded upon petitions. This means that the ability of the museum to uncover the history of unfortunate women is already limited by the availability of sources. Yet instead of using these petitions to gain as much information about these women as possible, the museum chooses to refer to them only in relation to foundling children. This ignores the context in which these mothers signed their petitions. Thus we must rely on alternate sources of information to understand the lives of these mothers. Evans article on London s mass of unfortunate women uses the Foundling Hospital petitions for such a purpose. She cites petitions in which women express their great distress in handing over their children. They claim that factors such as illegitimacy and poor state of health is what forced them to make this decision. If Evans has shown that such details of these

Sergeants must be aware that officers look to them for guidance and mimic their attitude. This is why it is imperative for Sergeants to display a professional attitude at all time. The same can be said for Field Training Officers. FTO s are responsible for laying the ground work as the example of how to act with the public, suspects, victims, and fellow employees. Both positions must be professional at all times. Chief McKinley stated that patrol officers also face a high degree of liability. Some of the highest forms of liability come in operating a patrol vehicle, use of force, and search and seizure. Chief McKinley also made mention that some officers have the misconception that if they get sued, the city will back them. Chief McKinley stressed that it was important for officers to understand that if they act out of the scope of the department s general orders, they may not be backed by the city in criminal or civil courts. An agent is hired by the principal to perform some duty that benefits the needs of the principal. The agency problem is an issue that occurs when the agents use their authority to make decisions in their own interest at the expense of the principals. For example, company managers (agents) were put in place to make decisions that maximize the wealth of the shareholders (principals) but may instead engage in empire building or may make inefficient company decisions for job security. In order to mitigate these potential agency problems, several mechanisms have evolved. These include directly tying the compensation of managers to the success of the firm; oversight and influence by the board of directors as well as outsiders such as security analysts, creditors, or large institutional investors; the threat of a proxy contest by unhappy shareholders to replace the current management team; or the threat of takeover by another firm. However, most of these mechanisms have a low chance of success or can create other problems. The best mechanism that prevents agency problems is the threat of takeover by another firm. If the

Remember The Titans took place in Alexandria, Virginia Where one high school became integrated with blacks and whites forming T.C. Williams High school. The football team at the school for the first time had blacks and whites doing the same sport together. The school board fired Coach Yoast from being head coach and hired a new head coach named Coach Boone who was African American. This led to problems with white families since they did not want a black coaching their kids and it caused problems for Coach Boone. However, after an incident with the white football players Coach Boone compromised with Coach Yoast allowing him to be the defensive coordinator in hopes of creating some peace in the tense time. As the summer came to an end football camp began. At football camp the audiences experiences the problems the black football players had with chemistry because of racism and hatred from their white teammates. However in the end of camp the team became brothers and does not see a person by their skin but what s on the inside. The boys were ready for football yet when they started school the Titans had to face the hardships of school and realize not everyone at school was as optimistic as they were which lead to more turmoil inside the team due to racism. Thankfully as time went on their bond grew and the team went on to become undefeated as well as win the state championship. The main characters in Remember The Titans were Coach Boone, Coach Yoast, Gerry Bertier, and Julius Campbell. Coach Boone was the head coach for the Titans, Coach Yoast was the ex head coach and was the defensive coordinator for the Titans, Gerry Bertier was the All American on the team and was the main white football player throughout the movie, and Julius Campbell was the main black football player on the Titans. Using Beer s law to determine the concentration of an unknown cobalt (II) nitrate solution with the %T and A values of the known Cobalt (II) nitrate concentrations. THEORY: The purpose of this experiment is to find out if we can identify an unknown Cobalt (II) nitrate concentration by using Calorimetry. Calorimetry involves the use of light to determine a specific solute in solution (Sullivan 238).A given molecule absorbs particular frequencies of light and passes others. If we are able to determine the degree in which various frequencies are absorbed, the population or concentration of a given molecule in solution can be determined. In this experiment we are trying to find out the visible spectrum of the known Cobalt (II) nitrate solution by using absorption versus the wavelengths to determine the analytical wavelength. Once the analytical wavelength is found we can use that to identify the unknown Cobalt (II) nitrate solution, by using the Beer s law. Beer s Law is a direct liner relationship between the absorbance of light are a selected wavelength and the concentration the absorbing species in the solution. (Sullivan 241). Beer s Law shows a relationship between several concentrations. To determine if the determine our data consistent with Beer s law, we will plot a graph of absorbance versus concentration with a linear regression

These artists came from all over the world, in a time before the world was made flat with commercial aviation. It drove many artists out of their homelands to places that were more accepting of their artistic expression. Although Kandinsky didn t find himself in the company of the cubists of Montmartre, his story demonstrates the artistic atmosphere of the world at the time. Many artists were eager to find a haven where they could freely express themselves in the company of like minded individuals, and to many of them, that place was Montmartre. Although there were certainly critics of modern artists within Paris itself, their general response to the artistic pioneers was more akin to arrogant dismissal as opposed to the outright suppression of places such as Russia. Another factor to consider is the somewhat overlooked economic theory of knowledge spillover. As described by Jane Jacobs in the 1960 s, it explains the obscure rise of particular industries in certain cities. This concept seeks to prescribe a name to the process of like minded individuals who live together in a community sharing ideas with each other in casual conversations and various other exchanges. Some examples include the steel industry of Pittsburgh, the technology industry of San Francisco, and more pertinently, the art industry in Paris at the turn of the twentieth century. • 33. Sheltering Sky versus Blood Meridian Essay Extreme circumstances bring about substantial changes in people. At least that is what Paul Bowles and Cormac McCarthy seem to be saying in the writing of their respective books, The Sheltering Sky and Blood Meridian. Both authors place their characters in difficult locations, dealing with difficult people and expect them to emerge changed, for better or for worse. In The Sheltering Sky, Bowles takes his American trio and places them in the desert landsof the African continent where the wide, dry impossibly desolate terrain takes its toll on their minds and bodies. Likewise, McCarthy takes his ragged bunchof marauders, most prominently the Kid, and has them wandering the massive expanse of the untamed west. This convention of forced... Apparently the point Bowles and McCarthy are trying to convey to the reader is that great change and substantial inner growth can only come about through intense emotional stress and physical challenge. Kit, in The Sheltering Sky, learns some very interesting things about herself through the course of our travels with her. She starts out as Port s wife, a secondary character of sorts, afraid to voice her opinions on virtually everything. We have the inside track on her thought s and feelings though, and are privy to the fact that she is unhappy not only with her situation and current location, but also with her marriage and identity. We get our first glimpse of her realization of these problems on her train ride with Tunner, as Port is traveling with the Lyles. Her spontaneous affair with Tunner is a symptom of her unhappiness and is the beginning of a downward spiral that takes her to the brink of insanity and far beyond. We see the beginning of her growth in her encounter in the Fourth Class cabin of the train when see comes in close contact with the miserable peasant folk and she realizes that aside from their cultural differences she is no better than these simple folk and in some ways she is far worse. As her story progresses we, the reader, get to see the progress of her downfall due to the
  • 34. Original Affluent Society To be honest, I am not sure there is a better definition , as both terms have at least a part to play in the term of Hunter Gatherer . For example, in Sahlins article, Original Affluent Society it is mentioned that the hunter gatherer is seemingly always on the brink of starvation, yet expends very little energy in their way of life (Sahlins 2006: 79). So, there is a huge positive, as well as a huge negative. In the Woodburn article, it is said that in some forms of hunter gatherer (where the return is immediate, rather than delayed) societies there is a greater distribution of wealth, of power, and of prestige. These are what he referred to as egalitarian societies (Woodburn, 1982). That would indicate a huge positive. But in my mind s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is that last quote that helps sum up my stance. That egalitarian societies of the hunter gatherer aspect of human culture make up the better of the two definitions. While Sahlins speaks of the highlights of nomadic life, the focus (from my perspective) seems to be on the fact that they use very little energy in relation to civilized man . This focus I feel fails to capture the simplistic elegance of the nomadic people. That they all share in the life, all get an equal reward, and all seem to enjoy the

  • 39. Zinc Is More Corrosion-Resistant Galvanising is the coating of iron objects with a thin layer of more active metal such as zinc , similar to sacrificial anode (Bbc.co.uk, 2015). Zinc is more corrosion resistant than iron because its oxide, ZnO, adheres to the surface of the metal rather than exposing the zinc to the atmosphere (Tinaroth, 2013). This prevents oxygenand water from reaching the ironunderneath but the zincalso acts as a sacrificial metal (Tinaroth, 2013). The zinc will lose electrons (undergoes oxidation) in preference to iron and hence, sacrificing itself to prevent the rusting of iron (Tinaroth, 2013). • 43. Application Of Self Reflection And Self Evaluation Professional Progress The purpose of this assignment is to go through a process of self reflection and self evaluation to discover the scope of personal and professional development, while enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program. This paper looks at my accomplishment of meeting all eight behaviors that are specific outcomes of the nursing program including: critical thinking, nursing practice, communication, teaching, research, leadership, professionalism, and culture. These accomplishments, over the course of my undergraduate career, will be proven using previous completed clinical logs that span sophomore, junior, and senior year in the nursing program. Critical Thinking Sophomore Year During sophomore year, this was the beginning of my critical thinking in the clinical setting. This first year, pre clinical was a time spent gathering patient information and assessment data to create a basic care plan specific to the designated patient. After the care plan was made, I listed nursing interventions, expected outcomes and goals in relation to each patient. These basic care plans were then changed, after having patient interaction, and made more detailed to the patient and the data I gathered during the actual clinical. To help me prioritize my patient s care, I used Maslow s Hierarchy of needs, and nursing theorists were then use to help guide the care I gave. An example of this is from my fundamentals clinical, where I had a 58 year old male patient with an infection
