Downtown Atlanta Georgia
Downtown Atlanta is a beautiful city that attracts visitors from in and out of the state. Atlanta
Downtown is a place where many businesses and jobs are located. This is the most frequent place
people visit in Atlanta. The biggest problem with downtown is not the lack of parking spaces but
there are too many people driving there at once.
Most parking available in downtown cost money and time. Even the parking spaces available are
very limited and not everyone could afford it. The parking decks in downtown belong to some
companies. Most of those companies even make their own employee pay for it. As for the city,
they have some free parking spaces which are limited to the public. Many of those parking spaces
in Downtown Atlanta are usually not free. Atlanta is not the only state in America who does not
provide free parking for their customers, workers, or tourists alike. For instance New York
downtown charges for their parking. They are many parking meters on the sides of the roads
where you can park your car for a limited period of time. Atlanta Downtown has meters on every
available space on the streets and at every corner possible. The meters are step up only on a time
limit. People say that the meters need to be fed before it works. And that is true, if anyone fails to
pay the meter than your vehicle can be towed. That is more money out of your pocket. The street
in downtown are usually small because every building such as stores, are so condensed and that

Communication And Conflict Resolution Within Communications

Communication Conflict Resolution
While introducing the study of conflict resolution within communications it is extremely vital for
us as human beings to be able to seek out the defiance and or uncivil disobedience so that then he or
she may begin to eliminate the arising communicative conflict. The way conflict resolution works is
by identifying the problem then next is to evaluate why such circumstances are so, and finally he
or she should seek to terminate the opposition that is causing the conflict. Interactive and or social
conflicts can be thought of in its simplest form, as an incompatibility trait that other humans may or
may not share. Such personality traits may offend and or produce disharmony and or self
contradictions of one s own self beliefs, goals, and or values by which only then make the
conversation that much harder to bare.
When we as humans thoroughly think about what conflict actually is we can sometimes forget
that conflict operates just like a two way street. While one direction of traffic is traveling
towards the state of pre opposition, the other flows towards actual conflict behaviors. The
prognostics of communication conflicts are fairly easy to identify. When I think of an individual
s commitment to erupt because of an opposition I first record a step by step analysis as to why he
or she is behaving in such an ill mannered way. I first would reference his or hers physical behavior
while then

Negotiations With The Dispute Between The Disputants
Problem Solving First of all, in order to solve any problem there need to be negotiation techniques
established to deal with the dispute between both of the disputants. First, a proper negotiation
technique must include the creation of a mutual frame. This frame consist of setting a good tone
during the negotiators opening statement. This tone can have two different effects, either there is
cooperation or competition (McCorkle Reese, 2015, p 159). There is nothing worse than having set
everything up and because of the tone that the mediator has everything fall apart. Second, there
needs to be an establishment of criteria in order to have both the disputants establish cooperation.
When criteria is established, neither of the disputants can establish their own competiveness,
however, when a disputant does establish competitiveness, it is the job of the mitigation to move
out of competitiveness and move the discussion to determine the facts (McCorkle Reese, 2015,
p159). Some ways to assist the mediator from successfully steering away from competiveness is by
asking questions that remind both disputants that the reason they are there is to solve the problem
and not cause more tension. Additionally, while some negotiators might employ brainstorminginto
the techniques, this is considered optional. However, I do feel that having both disputants
brainstorm can assist then with considering both side of the issue when ideas are expressed freely.
According to McCorkle and

Critique Of David Leonhardt s Maybe Money Does Buy...
Critique: Maybe Money Does Buy Happiness Introduction In David Leonhardt s Maybe Money
Does Buy Happiness , Leonhardt discusses whether a larger economy increases a person s
content by displaying the different point of views and their evidence. Born in 1973, Leonhardt
has won an adequate number of awards for his in depth insights and publications on economics.
These awards include the Peter Lisagor (Club, 1999), Gerald Loeb ( 2010 Gerald Loeb Award
Finalists , n.d.), Society of American Business Editors and Writers ( Winners in Its 14th Annual
Best in Business Contest , 2009) awards. He also won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary ( The
2011 Pulitzer Prize Winner in Commentary , n.d.). With his economical knowledge, Leonhardt
wrote The Get Happy Workbook, an instructional ebook on how to achieve elation ( The Get
Happy Workbook , n.d.). Credibility David Leonhardt graduated from Yale s University with
Bachelors in Applied Mathematics. Some may consider his degree irrelevant to the topic of his
essay and thus, a drawback to his credibility. However, Leonhardt s comprehensive studies were
advantageous to his career as a journalist... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leonhardt begins his article by providing readers with a historical background on the Japanese
economy. He then uses this background to display a contrast between wealth and satisfaction; this
contrast lead to the Easterlin Paradox. Consequently, this research became communal in social
science as it challenges the previous association with money to happiness. Afterwards, Leonhardt
proposes his argument as he introduces a new research. In this research, two economists argue
against the Easterlin Paradox. They believe that money does aid in bringing happiness even if not
guaranteed. In addition, both researchers and Leonhardt discuss that absolute income is more
important than relative income. This research was conducted at a national

LGBT Politicians in the US
In Greenwich Village on a warm July morning in 1969, a group of gay men and women are
brawling with police officers. This is Stonewall. These riots mark the start of the Gay Liberation
movement a social cause hampered by public stigma such as the AIDS Epidemic, religious
intolerance, negligence of an almost criminal level by the United States government, and outright
scorn from all directions. Stonewall marked the first critically important instance of the gay
community fighting back against all of this injustice. The following decades would result in an
unprecedented shift in public opinion. They would not, however, result in an unprecedented shift in
congressional representation. The lack of representation is dangerous to the LGBT... Show more

Johnston was the Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman, and a longtime friend of
Congressman Studds. The claim that Studds inspired a generation of LGBT persons is hard to
verify. Every memoriam article concerning Studds makes this claim, but none seem to have
found anyone to be inspired aside from close personal friends. On Studds death in 2006, many
claimed that his example had made it possible for other LGBT citizens to serve public office. I
would argue that Studds had no intention of ever admitting his sexuality, let alone serving as
some beacon of pride. Only after an affair with a nearly underage boy did the Congressman admit
his sexuality. This conduct did nothing but help to solidify the stigma attached to LGBT persons.
Studds s actions gave his electoral opposition plenty of firepower to use. Studds, as a publicly
elected representative, wasn t just representing himself when he committed his actions, but was
rather representing a very young social cause. When first discovered, his actions harmed that
cause. Studds s case is particularly important because he was first: his actions established negative
precedent an example of behavior to be followed for all of those potential LGBT candidates that
would follow. Studds was re elected the next year with little trouble, despite the

The Affordable Care Act Of 2010
Abstract Signed into law in 1997, Children s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides health
coverage to approximately eight million children. This law encompasses families whose
incomes are too high to qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford the expense of private health
insurance. CHIP is like Medicaid, it s managed by the states, but different because it s jointly
funded by the federal government and by the states. The Affordable Care Act of 2010 retains the
CHIP eligibility standards and extended CHIP funding until October 1, 2015. The Affordable
Care Act also provides an additional $40 million in federal funding to continue efforts to
encourage enrollment in Medicaid and CHIP. Working to keep children healthy is something that
all governmental opponents can agree on. Medicaid and CHIP together provides health care
coverage for low income families. Both of these programs are jointly financed by the states and
the federal government, but are largely administered by the states within extensive federal rules.
Funding for this program is set to expire at the end of September of 2015. Although these
programs differ in many ways, including financing, benefits and cost sharing, it s very beneficial to
many children whose parents make too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough for
private health insurance. CHIP is also known as the State Children s Health Insurance Program
(SCHIP) and was created by the 1997 Balanced Budget Act, enacted

Capital Market Imperfections in Emerging Economies
Capital market imperfection generally refers the capital available at below market rates for a
certain time period and this result in creating disequilibrium in the capital market. Market
imperfections in emerging economies such as China may be transformed into ownership
advantages (Buckley, 2004) and this may be emerged from a number of interrelated imperfections
listed below: 1)State owned enterprises (SOEs) may have capital possibly in forms of soft budget
constraints which made available to them at below the market rates (Warner et al., 2004)
2)Banking systems are inefficient which it allows to make soft loans to potential outward investors
(Warner et al., 2004; Antkiewicz and Whalley, 2006). 3)Many Chinese conglomerate firms may
operate an inefficient internal capital market and effectively subsidize FDI (Liu, 2005). 4)Family
owned firms tend to have easier access to cheap capitals through family members (Child and
Pleister, 2003; Erdener and Shapiro, 2005) These imperfections in the capital market may all exist
in China. According to Tong (2002), soft budget constraint is regarded as a common phenomenon
in socialist economy. It is generally resulted from inefficient operations. Inefficient Chinese firms
survive in general and they contribute the soft budget constraints promoted by local government
and party officials (Lardy, 1998). Chinese enterprises make acquisitions to enter and penetrate a host
economy by using state sponsored soft budget constraints (Warner

Difference Between Code Switching And Code Switching

its implication towards language learning.
Introduction
Since before the country independence, English was made compulsory in all schools in Malaysia
except vernacular schools such as Malay, Chinese and Tamil medium school (Foo, 2004). But with
the implementation of the Language Act 1967, the status of the English language was replaced by
Bahasa Melayu. Nonetheless, English is still widely used by the government and other private

Visualization on How Self-Handicapping Can Lead to...
Visualization on how Self Handicapping Can Lead to Procrastination and Low Self Esteem
Self esteem is the central component of every individual s daily life experiences. Self esteem
can be defined as a person s evaluation of the self, e.g. I am not satisfied with me or I like me. We
perform self evaluations on ourselves everyday; it is a non conscious process where as only the
individual knows the end result. Important domains affect us, and unimportant domains do not
(things tailored specifically to the individual). When an individual experiences an emotional gut
feeling , the individual feels either good or bad about themselves. As human beings, we have a
fundamental need for motives of self inclusion (Franzoi 59). Self esteem ... Show more content on

Procrastination is a form of self handicapping that can be applied to almost any aspect in one s
life. The most common thread of procrastination is fear; fear of failure, fear of unpleasant or
painful experiences, and the fear of missing out. When you fear failure you are prone to avoid
involve yourself to begin with. Out of the fear of failing and looking bad, they would often
spend vast amounts of time on a project without making any real progress because at a
subconscious level they don t want to finish a finished project will make them vulnerable for
criticism and consequently failure (Klassen et al. 918) If an procrastinator believes that a task is
going to be an undesirable experience then they will feel constrained not to do it. All these fears
can lead a person to self handicap. A lot of times, a person who might both self handicap and
procrastinate, will use drugs and/alcohol to utilize their actions; an example is drinking the night
before an exam. This individual, who chooses to go out before the exam, is giving themselves an
excuse to why they will not do well on this exam. This is an easy way for this person to maintain
their self esteem level. Baumeister allows me to introduce this concept (409)
Procrastination predicts higher levels of consumption of alcohol among those people who drink.
Procrastinators drink more than they intend to a manifestation of generalized

The Bybee Torture Memo Essay
The Bybee Torture Memo
On August 1, 2002, Justice Jay Bybee submitted the Bybee Memo or the Torture Memo , which
describes the behavior that U.S. officials must exercise when interrogating outside of the
continental U.S. as governed by the UN Convention Against Torture. Although this memo was

These weaknesses, however, are minimal compared to the strengths of his argument.
Hatfield contends that torture is so fundamentally wrong that it requires no written prohibition. At
the core of morality, it is simply not acceptable. However, there are many international doctrines of
peace keeping which outright prohibit torture such as the Universal Declaration of Rights, the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Geneva Convention and so on (pg. 132).
He feels that as a lawyer, he is demoralized when other lawyers seek to revisit the legality of
torture. However, the United States has submitted a document, the Bybee Memo, which enacted a
law contrary to these accepted credos of behavior and these proponents of human dignity. ...what is
clearly torture by any moral standard is not torture under American legal standards (pg. 132). So
how is it that one of the world s largest democracies, can proclaim that coercive interrogation is not
torture ?
The Bybee Torture Memo was crafted by a team of lawyers with purposeful intent in response to a
CIA query. Ultimately, someone (the President) wanted assurance, that contrary to world views,
torture was in some form permissible. The memo

Summary Of Sully And The Imitation Game
Intro
Even though Sully and The Imitation Game are set more than 50 years apart, they both examine
the phenomenon of surviving against all odds, and the fascination the public has with any such
hero. Both Eastwood and Tyldum develop this theme in presenting their characters as national
heroes. Eastwood s story of protagonist Chesley Sully Sullenberger depicts how ex army now
commercial pilot Sully ditches a plane in the Hudson river as an emergency landing, saving the
entire crew and passengers. The essence of this story is that not only is Sully cast as an instant
national hero, but ironically is revealed behind the scenes as somewhat of a rogue and accused of
endangering lives. The fascination of a hero, is not always shared by others. ... Show more content

Yet, Eastwood and Tyldum differ in their interpretation of what makes a national hero. Eastwood
initially represents Sully as a symbol of the average American male, through a range of
establishing camera angles, which perpetuates Sully as a calm mannered and methodical pilot.
Tyldum s use of shadows and lighting accentuates a half lit face of Alan Turing in a police
interrogation room, making him appear helpless and troubled. Furthermore, this half lit lighting of
his face symbolises that there is another side to Alan, where he is a prisoner inside himself, and
now his sexuality, later revealed to the police. Sully is constructed as a reserved man who believes
that I am not a hero , his actions later dubbed the miracle of the Hudson . Unlike Eastwood, Tyldum
s narrator is identifiable only through thought and action. While the text is primarily first person
showing the accomplishments and setbacks of Alan Turing faces and his team, it frameshifted
forward after the war and backwards to his childhood. The narrator Alan Turing occasionally shifted
to 2nd person talking directly to the audience affording an insight into his motivations and concerns.
The narrator shares his dissatisfaction in his monotonous existence shown by are you paying

Robert Mondavi Corporation
Robert Mondavi began making wine in Napa Valley in 1943. He started working in the wine
industry with his family. He later started his own winery in Oakville, California. Mondavi, along
with his two sons, Michael and Timothy, would guide the Robert Mondavi Winery to the strong
position the company enjoys today. Mondavi introduced many new techniques to the California
wine industry that included cold fermentation, stainless steel tanks, and the use of small French oak
barrels to age fine wine. To stimulate the consumption of fine wine, Mondavi hosted many tours and

charge of production, sales, marketing, finance to three distinct business units. RMW (including

executives and the brand image of the product.
Competition
There were three different types of competitors that challenged Mondavi from different angles. The
first type was those firms that focused on making high quality premium wines. The next type was
the large volume producers that were aggressively moving into the wine industry. Finally, the third
type was the global alcohol companies that were acquiring wineries to further diversify their
alcoholic beverage distribution.
High Quality
The three main rivals in the area that focused on high quality wine include Kendall Jackson,
Trinchero Estates, and Southcorp. Kendall Jackson was started in 1982 in northern California.
Kendall Jackson became a direct competitor to Mondavi because there leading bottle of wine
was in the same price range. By 2001, Kendall Jackson was making over $400 million a year. Bids
were made to buy out the company in 2000, and the asking price was rumored to be between $1.5
billion and $2 billion. Michael Mondavi was quoted on the differences between the two firms:

Examples Of Narcissistic Defence
Narcissistic defence
Narcissistic defences are often seen in psychotic individuals, people who are out of touch with
reality, they are the most prominent defences. Here I have selected projection and denial as the two
narcissistic defence mechanisms in relation to Moses Sithole.
Projection
When referring to projection we define it as, perceiving and reacting to unacceptable inner
impulses and their derivate as though they were outside the self (Kaplan Sadock s, 2015, p.161).
We can speculate that Moses, put his feelings of being falsely accused of raping Buyiswa Doris

America through Bauhaus, which was a European movement that came around World War 2. The
movement in America took shape in the 1980s with the influence of a new cultural era that was

Description and Reflection of Dallas Museum The Dallas Museum is a renowned art museum
established in 1903 and is located in Dallas, Texas (Neumann et al. 19). The Dallas Museum of art
is one of the largest art museums in the United States of America containing more than 24,000

numerous things inside the museum, such as the pieces of art, museum visitors, and the architecture,
that relate to the understanding of the world outside the museum in terms of the day to day life and
the human society. My goal in this essay is to think outside the box and describe the observations
I made inside the museum and explain how they relate to my everyday life, the wider world, or
the human society. The painting work done by C. Bertram Hartman was the first piece of art I
observed inside the Dallas Museum. This painting, completed in 1930, consists of a campanile
type tower, most likely a representation of a historic skyscraper (Walker 73). The painting applies
a fractured perspective blended on an urban look with muted color palettes accompanied by harsh

The Transient Sublime and Mortality in “Ode to a Nightingale”

English Literature
The Transient Sublime and Mortality in Ode to a Nightingale
Composed during the most creative period in Keats s brief poetic career, Ode to a Nightingale has
long been regarded as one of the most refined works of his poetry. Previous criticism has
comprehensively explored its themes of nature, beauty and mortality, as well as its demonstration
of Keats s notion of Negative Capability. But based on my research, few critical reviews have

But his pain stems not from grief, which we learn by surprise, but from an excess of happiness
occasioned by the bird s song which is too happy to be endured. This ambivalent mixture of pain
and pleasure is the characteristic mark of the sublime, which is further heightened by the sharp
contrast between the poet s painful numbness and the bird s god like rapture and freedom.
The poet then calls for wine, a beaker full of the warm South which may carry him into a state of
the sublime where identification with the nightingale and union with nature are accessible, in order
to escape the weariness, the fever, and the fret of human lives, where youth dies early and even
love does not last long. But then he changes his mind: he will fly to the nightingale not through the
artificial device of alcoholic intoxication ( Bacchus and his pards ), but through the agency of
poetic imagination ( the viewless wings of Poesy ).
For a moment the poet succeeds, exclaiming that he is already with thee . Imagination leads him
into a trance, where he loses consciousness while arriving at the climax of the sublime. In his most
exalted poetic vision, he beholds the holy lustre of the Queen Moon and her starry Fays in the
tender night sky. But soon common sense abruptly obtrudes, pulling the poet from up amid the stars

Allusions In The Crucible
You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them! You were supposed to bring balance to the
force, not leave it in darkness! This is what Obi Wan screamed at Anakin before leaving him to
burn almost to death on Mustafar. While this accusation makes sense from a Jedi point of view,
from the Buddhist point of view, it is entirely unfounded. The Jedi, through their millennia of non
virtuous actions, earned the non virtuous actions that happened to them. In fact, Anakin was just
used as the instrument of karma in Revenge of the Sith. The Jedi are held up on a pedestal
throughout the entire saga, but they are not perfect heroes. Just during the course of the movie, the
Jedi lied and committed divisive speech, both of which are principle verbal non virtues. There are
many times that they lie, not only amongst themselves, but also to the Chancellor and the Senate.
Their biggest lies were in their omissions of information about their inability to access the force as
easily, and when they told Anakin to lie to the Chancellor and spy on him. While the Chancellor is
the antagonist of the film, that doesn t change the fact that when the Jedi forced Anakin to spy on
his beloved friend, they were committing a non virtuous act. They were willing to commit these
non virtues because they had grown... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The bad things that happened to the Jedi order were the results of their millennia of non virtuous
acts. The Jedi, throughout their many years of power, committed almost every single non virtue,
and did many of them with the wrong views and with a harmful intent due to their arrogance. So
Anakin was just an instrument of karma that actually cleansed the bad karma that the Jedi had built
up. In that way, he fulfilled the prophecy, bringing balance to the force by balancing the karma of
the Jedi. Therefore, the true blame for the destruction of the Jedi lies with the Jedi, not

Dominant Music Elements
What is the dominant element of the music you generally listen to?
For me, I would have to say that the lyrics are the most dominant element of music. Even though
every aspect of music brings a piece together, it is the lyrics that bring about the emotional appeal.
The song Difficult by Eminem is an example of this. Even though the beat itself with the piano
makes this a strong song, it is the lyrics that brings it together. One could argue that the rhythm or
melody is the dominant element of music, but personally I don t like listening to music without
vocals. If you listen to the song Difficult, hopefully you will understand what I mean by brings it
together. Not only is he pouring his heart out, but you can hear it in his voice,

Multitasking Benefits
In some cultures, multitasking is for intelligent people; similarly, in Saudi Arabia, women practice
multitasking to show how they are smart and hardworking. It is one of the stereotyping that seems
fascinating for most of Saudi people. Although multitasking has positive effects, it has negative
consequences. To be more specific, multitaskingconsists of productive and powerless situations that

is the enjoyment. People who seek different activities to express relaxation find multitasking is the

Disadvantages Of Conflict
Conflicts and arguments are part of our daily lives and we deal with them in our own ways.
Usually conflicts arise between two or more individuals, organizations or even nations and the
scope of every conflict is to find a solution to the disagreement that was created between the parties.
Each disagreement may have a different nature, even if it is personal, financial or political there
must be a solution.
The most common way to deal with conflict is to avoid it, some individuals leave the discussion,
and some get angry and upset, actually it may amaze you what people would do in order to avoid

Alexander The Coliseum
The birth of a coliseum legend
Sweat trickled down his face, he was strong and lean, his long black hair was drenched in sweat.
He was tired and exhausted. He walked around his opponent, circling ready to attack. He tried his
best to ignore the stench of blood, but that was one feat he could not perform. He was almost out
of tricks, his opponent was a better swordsman. All around him the crowd cheered, he was
Alexander.
It all started out a few years ago before the king s men raided small villages, they were taken as

Essay On The Francine Odyssey
Quirky, upbeat music plays as Sam and Suzy continue their adventure by preparing dinner,
watching deer, and hiking through the rain. The map shows their journey on a dotted line to
illustrate the length of it and their arrival. At their newly formed campsite, they catch fish for
dinner and decide to take inventory. While Sam brought everything they seem to need for
outdoor survival, Suzy brought (her brother s) record player, kitten food, records, books, lefty
scissors, rubber bands, batteries, toothbrush, and binoculars. Of course Sam s concern is other
whether she stole the books from the library. They discuss why she would do that coming down
to the fact that her parents have a book called Coping with a Very Troubled Child. At this Sam
laughs despite himself, which upsets Suzy causing her to storm off to the tent and zip it up.
Sam, after processing for a few dumbfounded seconds, goes after her to tent. He apologizes and
tells her that he is on her side which she accepts. During the interaction, each child s face is
shown close up as though the viewer was the one sitting in front of them, adding another sense of
depth into this fictional world. Suzy ends up reading her favorite book to Sam called The
Francine Odyssey, a reference to Homer s Odyssey, a story about a man s long journey back home.

It could be said that marble quarrying and processing industries belong to the oldest industries of
the world. The Ancient Egyptians, 5000 years ago, knew 40 different types of ornamental stones
and worked chiefly with granite and some types of marble such as Alabaster. Some historians
assert that the Greek and the Romans acquired the skills of quarrying and processing marble
from the Ancient Egyptians. For over a thousand years now, the economic activity of a city like
Carara in Italy has been relying on and revolving mainly around marble. Today, marble is a
differentiated product that is internationally traded. The price and value of marble depends on one
hand on its natural characteristics (like quality, type and color) and on the other hand on
technological processing (giving it a special shape, polish, size and thickness). Hence, the
production of marble can be considered as highly differentiated, and strongly dependent on level of
technology use.( Azza I. Kandil and Tarek H. Selim)(reaearch

ways of life, while some only make him believe that his old ways are supperiour. Although Mr.
Chips is stuck in his ways and doesn t much like change, he understands that life will not always be

there should be change. Chips even says that at first he thought this new type of women would
repel him, but as you can see, he soon fell in love with her and married her. A passage from the
book explains how Chips and Kathies relationship went: And Kathie widened and broadened his
views and opinions, giving him an outlook far beyond the roofs of Brooksfield... She had a
cleverer brain than his, and he could not confuse her ideas even if and when he disagreed with
them; he remained, for instance, a conserative in politics, despite all her radical socialistic talk.
But even where he did not except, he absorbed. His passage shows who Chips really is, he is a
man who likes his old ways, but is open minded to other ideas and is not to stubborn to change his
mind if he is wrong about something. However, when he knows he s right, he still listens to the
other.

Cultural Sensitivity In Healthcare
Cultural sensitivity is being aware of different cultures and customs and beliefs of other people and
having the skills to interact with others on a daily basis without hindering their cultural beliefs and

One was Humalog, which is a human insulin analog and the other was porcine derived insulin.
Some populations like the Muslim culture have a taboo against porcine products and hence they
would refuse to get treated if the doctor prescribed a porcine derived insulin. The physicians thus
needs to be aware and be able to meet the patient s preferences or be able to provide alternative
drugs so that they can improve the health of their patient. Such minor details like preference for
bovine derived insulin or a human insulin analog can only be known if the health care professional

Another example of a situation where cultural sensitivity applies is during patient counseling. It is
not okay to assume that a patient s health literacy is high just because they have a college degree

outside the United States and migrated here, they may have expert knowledge about their field of

The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, is a fictional story about a shepherd boy named Santiago and
his journey to find his personal legend. Throughout the story, he goes through many obstacles

The story ended with Santiago back at the church, finding the treasure and saying that he was

The ending is well respected, but it could ve left some sort of closure for the reader. There is a
lot of questions that run through a reader s mind when they read the ending. Some people are left
in wonder in regards to Santiago. Readers wonder if Santiago even goes back to Fatima or what
happens to the merchant s daughter. She was important to Santiago and then she was dropped from
the story after that. Other questions are: Does Santiago see the Alchemist or the Englishman ever

Analysis Of The Lesson The Ring Of Recollection Essay
Critical intervention
Isao Umeda
Purity and will to live
In Critical Intervention No.2, to response the lesson The Ring of Recollection: and ancient indian
aesthetic theory through Sanskrit drama that taught by Ms Ranjana Thapayal, and her paper
Sringara rasa( 1 ). I found the interest in the concept of Vak in the paper. According to the paper,
Vak is considered one of the female entity of Saraswati. Vak is disembodied , She is speech, or the
essence of sound the fundamental creative impulse ( 2 ). Her entity is purely abstract.
I was inspired by abstract art when I was undergraduate student and it triggered to make abstract
style art. Since then, I have focused and kept thinking about what is abstraction, or purity in fine art
more than 10 years. During this time, couple of arts have touched my chord; Western classical music
and Japanese tea ceremony. Several years later, I gradually hypothesise this two arts have something
similar concepts that can be essential concepts in my.artistic philosophy. The taught session in
MRes have developed this idea dramatically and now, I am planning research this hypothesis in
academically.
The ancient myth, no matter west or east and south or north, often depicts very important principal
concept for the art, culture, thought, identity, philosophy and so on. Therefore, through the concept
of Vak, to reconsider main argument will be beneficial for my final research. To explain my thought
for the argument, I will show my old

Cubism In Pablo Picasso s Les Demoiselles DAvignon
Pablo Picasso s painting, Les Demoiselles D avignon uses the elements of color, line, and shape
to make the statement: Of young women in avignon. Picasso spent nine months painting Les
Demoiselles D avignon, this paintings one of his most famous examples of cubism. Picasso
proved to exist as one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century. He also
joined an artist production that he spiritually believed would keep him alive. Picasso spent 80
out of his 91 years of living devoted to this group. While devoted to this group, he painted Les
demoiselles d avignon . The painting consists of five prostitutes that stood on the street corner
named Avignon, the red light district of Barcelona, a street that Picasso would frequently visit. The
females in this painting fill the entire space, and they almost look as if they could be trapped. I
believe that picasso made these women fill the space completely, attempting to symbolize the fact
that the women were trapped in a lifestyle that they did not want to exist in.
Picasso, much like the women of avignon, did not enjoy life during the time of this painting.
Every painting Picasso did encouraged him to make it better than the previous, which I believe he
truly captured all of that inside this painting. Picasso used colors to express the emotions he
experienced during this period of time. He mainly used red, blue, white, and black. Picasso tried to
keep the paint color as accurate to skin tone as he could

Do Consequences Depend on Motives in Julius Caesar by...
An American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr once said, All human sin seems so much worse in its
consequences than in its intentions. In this statement, Niebuhr exclaims that the consequences of a
situation are undeniably much worse than the motivation of one s instigation of their actions. This
applies to the intentions and, more importantly, the consequences of the characters in both the play
Julius Caesarby William Shakespeare and film Wall Street: Money Never Sleepsdirected by Oliver
Stone. Even though some people have honorable intentions and mean no harm, the consequences
can still be disastrous. In much the same way, those with fraudulent intentions also suffer in the
end. Situations like these can be accurately viewed through both the play and the film. The
characters Brutus and Jacob Moore have no other reason but to act in a worthy way. While Cassius
and Gordon Gekko have deceptive intentions, consequences incur similar to Brutus and Jacob
Moore. The intentions may seem like the most important consideration in a decision, but, in reality,
the penalties can be the same no matter what the motives are.
A motive to kill one s best friend requires deep thinking and a reasonable intention. Brutus, Caesar
s best friend, has taken into consideration why he thinks killing Caesar is necessary. Although
Brutus is Caesar s best friend, he has to come to conclusion that murdering him is his final decision
when he asserts, Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome

Antimicrobial And Antioxidant Activities Of Leaves
The present study was carried out to evaluate the antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of leaves
of Elephantopus scaber by using different solvent (ethyl alcohol ,acetone and aqueous). The leaves
extract from Elephantopus scaber using different solvents to extract were evaluated for antioxidant
activity by using DPPH method using a different concentrations (1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, 100)
Ојg/ml. The results of this method was compared with ascorbic acidas standard. The IC50 value of
standard (ascorbic acid) was found to be 20 mg/ml. This study showed the strongest DPPH radical
scavenging activity of (52.54В±0.81)% inhibition at concentrationof 40 mg/ml, and IC50 value
was 30 mg/ml was found the scavenging activity of (44.92В±0.26)% for ethyl alcohol extract.
Acetone extract of leaves was found at of concentration 60 mg/ml scavenging activity of
53.26В±0.34%. The IC50 value of aqueous extract of leaves was (60)Ојg/ml with percentage
inhibition of (54.28В±0.28)% followed by (44.57В±0.53)% at concentration 40 mg/ml. Introduction

Comparing Olympia And Urbino
In the painting, Olympia receives flowers from a helper who is staring at her, which was very
controversial at the time due to the fact she was completely naked and it was seen as immodest.
The flowers are presumed to be from a client, which gives more evidence to support her being a
prostitute. A black cat is shown standing at Olympia s feet provide a stark contrast to the dog at
Venus of Urbinos. While the dog is laying docilely at her feet, representing loyalty and love, the
cat stands and almost seems to shake in shock and fear, representing secrecy and selfishness. The
only accessories on Olympia are a choker, shoes, flower in her hair, and a bracelet, while Titian s
Urbino only wear a bracelet and earrings presenting a more modest look.... Show more content on

However, this can be seen as the speaker acknowledging the overwhelmingly true fact of her being
dead while her husband lives. The speaker asks her husband not to waste his time honoring her
memory or trying to make gestures of love for her when they cannot be received. She also allows
herself the freedom to focus on herself and her afterlife. The speaker is revolutionary in her
autonomy and her acceptance of the ever constant change that pervades human existence. Through
this poem, Rossetti highlights the emerging feminist movement of the time and provides a stark
contrast to the usual male driven

The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle
As I first started reading The Glass Castle by Jane Walls the novel immediately caught my attention.
There were many things that I found to interesting throughout the novel. Through my reading I also
found certain characters or events to be annoying.
The first thing I found to be interesting is staring the novel with her mother. Wall s mother is
rummaging through the dumpster and she goes out of her way to avoid her mother. I was
overcome with panic that she s see me and call out my name, and that someone on the way to the
party would spot us together and mom would introduce herself and my secret would be out (12). It
seems she is embarrassed that her mother is homeless and ashamed because it is a secret. I find it

At a young age of three she was boiling water and making hot dogs. What you can infer is that she
is mature for her age. While she was in the hospital one of the nurses tried to comfort her. One of
them squeezed my hand and told I was going to be okay I know. I said, But if I m not, that s okay
too (17). I found this of her to say that even if she weren t okay she would be okay to be very
mature of her at a young age.
I believe her parents are very interesting as well and at times can be irresponsible. For example
when her brother Brian fell off of the back of the couch and they did not take him to the hospital.
There was blood everywhere, Mom said but one kid in the hospital at a time is enough. Besides
dad said, Brian s head is hard, I think the floor took more damage than he did (20). This is just one
example of them being irresponsible. I think they should have taken him to the hospital no matter
what they thought he could handle.
Overall I think the events in the novel are very interesting. I believe it is an interesting novel
because of her family and their actions. Through my reading I have not found the book to be boring

Black And The Black Panther Harlem 1969 Essay
I couldn t stop staring at his picture. My hands tightly gripping onto the photo for dear life. In it,
was a man wearing all black and had an afro the size of a big o l bush. His facial expression was
tight and firm as if no one could break his concentration. His hand clenched into a fist and raised to
the sky. Surrounding him was a group of other young African Americanmen and women, all
wearing black attire with afros ranging in all different sizes looking straight ahead. I turned to the
back of the photo it read, Black Panther Harlem 1969. I placed the picture beside me and picked
up the remote control, passing through a series of channels, I stopped on channel thirteen, PBS.
Black powerwas a movement that had evolved from previous generations, which displayed
struggles to acquire change and equality for black peoplein America. It was a very moving time for
America where white people witnessed African Americans coming together and organizing
movements against the government. Individuals such as Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,
Robert F. Williams, Rosa Parks and many other influential individuals, who paved the way for a
new generation to bring forth change to the black community. This was a period where laws and
regulations such as Jim Crow, segregation, and voting discrimination became illegal and therefore
overturned. This was the opportunity for African Americans to fight back and speak out to bring
forth social changes to their communities as

  • 3. Downtown Atlanta Georgia Downtown Atlanta is a beautiful city that attracts visitors from in and out of the state. Atlanta Downtown is a place where many businesses and jobs are located. This is the most frequent place people visit in Atlanta. The biggest problem with downtown is not the lack of parking spaces but there are too many people driving there at once. Most parking available in downtown cost money and time. Even the parking spaces available are very limited and not everyone could afford it. The parking decks in downtown belong to some companies. Most of those companies even make their own employee pay for it. As for the city, they have some free parking spaces which are limited to the public. Many of those parking spaces in Downtown Atlanta are usually not free. Atlanta is not the only state in America who does not provide free parking for their customers, workers, or tourists alike. For instance New York downtown charges for their parking. They are many parking meters on the sides of the roads where you can park your car for a limited period of time. Atlanta Downtown has meters on every available space on the streets and at every corner possible. The meters are step up only on a time limit. People say that the meters need to be fed before it works. And that is true, if anyone fails to pay the meter than your vehicle can be towed. That is more money out of your pocket. The street in downtown are usually small because every building such as stores, are so condensed and that leaves a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Communication And Conflict Resolution Within Communications Sanders Lavell Capstone Research paper 8/8/2016 Communication Conflict Resolution While introducing the study of conflict resolution within communications it is extremely vital for us as human beings to be able to seek out the defiance and or uncivil disobedience so that then he or she may begin to eliminate the arising communicative conflict. The way conflict resolution works is by identifying the problem then next is to evaluate why such circumstances are so, and finally he or she should seek to terminate the opposition that is causing the conflict. Interactive and or social conflicts can be thought of in its simplest form, as an incompatibility trait that other humans may or may not share. Such personality traits may offend and or produce disharmony and or self contradictions of one s own self beliefs, goals, and or values by which only then make the conversation that much harder to bare. When we as humans thoroughly think about what conflict actually is we can sometimes forget that conflict operates just like a two way street. While one direction of traffic is traveling towards the state of pre opposition, the other flows towards actual conflict behaviors. The prognostics of communication conflicts are fairly easy to identify. When I think of an individual s commitment to erupt because of an opposition I first record a step by step analysis as to why he or she is behaving in such an ill mannered way. I first would reference his or hers physical behavior while then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Negotiations With The Dispute Between The Disputants Problem Solving First of all, in order to solve any problem there need to be negotiation techniques established to deal with the dispute between both of the disputants. First, a proper negotiation technique must include the creation of a mutual frame. This frame consist of setting a good tone during the negotiators opening statement. This tone can have two different effects, either there is cooperation or competition (McCorkle Reese, 2015, p 159). There is nothing worse than having set everything up and because of the tone that the mediator has everything fall apart. Second, there needs to be an establishment of criteria in order to have both the disputants establish cooperation. When criteria is established, neither of the disputants can establish their own competiveness, however, when a disputant does establish competitiveness, it is the job of the mitigation to move out of competitiveness and move the discussion to determine the facts (McCorkle Reese, 2015, p159). Some ways to assist the mediator from successfully steering away from competiveness is by asking questions that remind both disputants that the reason they are there is to solve the problem and not cause more tension. Additionally, while some negotiators might employ brainstorminginto the techniques, this is considered optional. However, I do feel that having both disputants brainstorm can assist then with considering both side of the issue when ideas are expressed freely. According to McCorkle and ... Critique: Maybe Money Does Buy Happiness Introduction In David Leonhardt s Maybe Money Does Buy Happiness , Leonhardt discusses whether a larger economy increases a person s content by displaying the different point of views and their evidence. Born in 1973, Leonhardt has won an adequate number of awards for his in depth insights and publications on economics. These awards include the Peter Lisagor (Club, 1999), Gerald Loeb ( 2010 Gerald Loeb Award Finalists , n.d.), Society of American Business Editors and Writers ( Winners in Its 14th Annual Best in Business Contest , 2009) awards. He also won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary ( The 2011 Pulitzer Prize Winner in Commentary , n.d.). With his economical knowledge, Leonhardt wrote The Get Happy Workbook, an instructional ebook on how to achieve elation ( The Get Happy Workbook , n.d.). Credibility David Leonhardt graduated from Yale s University with Bachelors in Applied Mathematics. Some may consider his degree irrelevant to the topic of his essay and thus, a drawback to his credibility. However, Leonhardt s comprehensive studies were advantageous to his career as a journalist... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Leonhardt begins his article by providing readers with a historical background on the Japanese economy. He then uses this background to display a contrast between wealth and satisfaction; this contrast lead to the Easterlin Paradox. Consequently, this research became communal in social science as it challenges the previous association with money to happiness. Afterwards, Leonhardt proposes his argument as he introduces a new research. In this research, two economists argue against the Easterlin Paradox. They believe that money does aid in bringing happiness even if not guaranteed. In addition, both researchers and Leonhardt discuss that absolute income is more important than relative income. This research was conducted at a national ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These riots mark the start of the Gay Liberation movement a social cause hampered by public stigma such as the AIDS Epidemic, religious intolerance, negligence of an almost criminal level by the United States government, and outright scorn from all directions. Stonewall marked the first critically important instance of the gay community fighting back against all of this injustice. The following decades would result in an unprecedented shift in public opinion. They would not, however, result in an unprecedented shift in congressional representation. The lack of representation is dangerous to the LGBT... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Johnston was the Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman, and a longtime friend of Congressman Studds. The claim that Studds inspired a generation of LGBT persons is hard to verify. Every memoriam article concerning Studds makes this claim, but none seem to have found anyone to be inspired aside from close personal friends. On Studds death in 2006, many claimed that his example had made it possible for other LGBT citizens to serve public office. I would argue that Studds had no intention of ever admitting his sexuality, let alone serving as some beacon of pride. Only after an affair with a nearly underage boy did the Congressman admit his sexuality. This conduct did nothing but help to solidify the stigma attached to LGBT persons. Studds s actions gave his electoral opposition plenty of firepower to use. Studds, as a publicly elected representative, wasn t just representing himself when he committed his actions, but was rather representing a very young social cause. When first discovered, his actions harmed that cause. Studds s case is particularly important because he was first: his actions established negative precedent an example of behavior to be followed for all of those potential LGBT candidates that would follow. • 8. The Affordable Care Act Of 2010 Abstract Signed into law in 1997, Children s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides health coverage to approximately eight million children. This law encompasses families whose incomes are too high to qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford the expense of private health insurance. CHIP is like Medicaid, it s managed by the states, but different because it s jointly funded by the federal government and by the states. The Affordable Care Act of 2010 retains the CHIP eligibility standards and extended CHIP funding until October 1, 2015. The Affordable Care Act also provides an additional $40 million in federal funding to continue efforts to encourage enrollment in Medicaid and CHIP. Working to keep children healthy is something that all governmental opponents can agree on. Medicaid and CHIP together provides health care coverage for low income families. Both of these programs are jointly financed by the states and the federal government, but are largely administered by the states within extensive federal rules. Funding for this program is set to expire at the end of September of 2015. Although these programs differ in many ways, including financing, benefits and cost sharing, it s very beneficial to many children whose parents make too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough for private health insurance. CHIP is also known as the State Children s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and was created by the 1997 Balanced Budget Act, enacted ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Capital Market Imperfections in Emerging Economies Capital market imperfection generally refers the capital available at below market rates for a certain time period and this result in creating disequilibrium in the capital market. Market imperfections in emerging economies such as China may be transformed into ownership advantages (Buckley, 2004) and this may be emerged from a number of interrelated imperfections listed below: 1)State owned enterprises (SOEs) may have capital possibly in forms of soft budget constraints which made available to them at below the market rates (Warner et al., 2004) 2)Banking systems are inefficient which it allows to make soft loans to potential outward investors (Warner et al., 2004; Antkiewicz and Whalley, 2006). 3)Many Chinese conglomerate firms may operate an inefficient internal capital market and effectively subsidize FDI (Liu, 2005). 4)Family owned firms tend to have easier access to cheap capitals through family members (Child and Pleister, 2003; Erdener and Shapiro, 2005) These imperfections in the capital market may all exist in China. According to Tong (2002), soft budget constraint is regarded as a common phenomenon in socialist economy. It is generally resulted from inefficient operations. Inefficient Chinese firms survive in general and they contribute the soft budget constraints promoted by local government and party officials (Lardy, 1998). Chinese enterprises make acquisitions to enter and penetrate a host economy by using state sponsored soft budget constraints (Warner ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Visualization on how Self Handicapping Can Lead to Procrastination and Low Self Esteem Self esteem is the central component of every individual s daily life experiences. Self esteem can be defined as a person s evaluation of the self, e.g. I am not satisfied with me or I like me. We perform self evaluations on ourselves everyday; it is a non conscious process where as only the individual knows the end result. Important domains affect us, and unimportant domains do not (things tailored specifically to the individual). When an individual experiences an emotional gut feeling , the individual feels either good or bad about themselves. As human beings, we have a fundamental need for motives of self inclusion (Franzoi 59). Self esteem ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Procrastination is a form of self handicapping that can be applied to almost any aspect in one s life. The most common thread of procrastination is fear; fear of failure, fear of unpleasant or painful experiences, and the fear of missing out. When you fear failure you are prone to avoid involve yourself to begin with. Out of the fear of failing and looking bad, they would often spend vast amounts of time on a project without making any real progress because at a subconscious level they don t want to finish a finished project will make them vulnerable for criticism and consequently failure (Klassen et al. 918) If an procrastinator believes that a task is going to be an undesirable experience then they will feel constrained not to do it. All these fears can lead a person to self handicap. A lot of times, a person who might both self handicap and procrastinate, will use drugs and/alcohol to utilize their actions; an example is drinking the night before an exam. This individual, who chooses to go out before the exam, is giving themselves an excuse to why they will not do well on this exam. This is an easy way for this person to maintain their self esteem level. • 13. Summary Of Sully And The Imitation Game Intro Even though Sully and The Imitation Game are set more than 50 years apart, they both examine the phenomenon of surviving against all odds, and the fascination the public has with any such hero. Both Eastwood and Tyldum develop this theme in presenting their characters as national heroes. Eastwood s story of protagonist Chesley Sully Sullenberger depicts how ex army now commercial pilot Sully ditches a plane in the Hudson river as an emergency landing, saving the entire crew and passengers. The essence of this story is that not only is Sully cast as an instant national hero, but ironically is revealed behind the scenes as somewhat of a rogue and accused of endangering lives. The fascination of a hero, is not always shared by others. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet, Eastwood and Tyldum differ in their interpretation of what makes a national hero. Eastwood initially represents Sully as a symbol of the average American male, through a range of establishing camera angles, which perpetuates Sully as a calm mannered and methodical pilot. Tyldum s use of shadows and lighting accentuates a half lit face of Alan Turing in a police interrogation room, making him appear helpless and troubled. Furthermore, this half lit lighting of his face symbolises that there is another side to Alan, where he is a prisoner inside himself, and now his sexuality, later revealed to the police. Sully is constructed as a reserved man who believes that I am not a hero , his actions later dubbed the miracle of the Hudson . Unlike Eastwood, Tyldum s narrator is identifiable only through thought and action. While the text is primarily first person showing the accomplishments and setbacks of Alan Turing faces and his team, it frameshifted forward after the war and backwards to his childhood. The narrator Alan Turing occasionally shifted to 2nd person talking directly to the audience affording an insight into his motivations and concerns. Sanford ENG 1301 !8th November, 2017 Description and Reflection of Dallas Museum The Dallas Museum is a renowned art museum established in 1903 and is located in Dallas, Texas (Neumann et al. 19). The Dallas Museum of art is one of the largest art museums in the United States of America containing more than 24,000 collections of art ranging from the ancient to the modern ones (MacDonald Brettell 112). There are numerous things inside the museum, such as the pieces of art, museum visitors, and the architecture, that relate to the understanding of the world outside the museum in terms of the day to day life and the human society. My goal in this essay is to think outside the box and describe the observations I made inside the museum and explain how they relate to my everyday life, the wider world, or the human society. The painting work done by C. Bertram Hartman was the first piece of art I observed inside the Dallas Museum. This painting, completed in 1930, consists of a campanile type tower, most likely a representation of a historic skyscraper (Walker 73). The painting applies a fractured perspective blended on an urban look with muted color palettes accompanied by harsh shadows (MacDonald Brettell 117). The painting is a reflection of the dynamism and energetic expansion of the current New York City. The geometrical arrangement of the buildings in the painting resemble the current scenes witnessed in New York, championing a fast pace and a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Transient Sublime and Mortality in “Ode to a Nightingale” 何梓涵 12010007 To Professor Hou Yiling English Literature The Transient Sublime and Mortality in Ode to a Nightingale Composed during the most creative period in Keats s brief poetic career, Ode to a Nightingale has long been regarded as one of the most refined works of his poetry. Previous criticism has comprehensively explored its themes of nature, beauty and mortality, as well as its demonstration of Keats s notion of Negative Capability. But based on my research, few critical reviews have touched upon the point which I find clearly suggest itself in this poem: that the poet s experience here depicted is not merely an escape into the realm of ideal beauty, but also an intoxication with the Romantic sublime. But his pain stems not from grief, which we learn by surprise, but from an excess of happiness occasioned by the bird s song which is too happy to be endured. This ambivalent mixture of pain and pleasure is the characteristic mark of the sublime, which is further heightened by the sharp contrast between the poet s painful numbness and the bird s god like rapture and freedom. The poet then calls for wine, a beaker full of the warm South which may carry him into a state of the sublime where identification with the nightingale and union with nature are accessible, in order to escape the weariness, the fever, and the fret of human lives, where youth dies early and even love does not last long. But then he changes his mind: he will fly to the nightingale not through the artificial device of alcoholic intoxication ( Bacchus and his pards ), but through the agency of poetic imagination ( the viewless wings of Poesy ). For a moment the poet succeeds, exclaiming that he is already with thee . Imagination leads him into a trance, where he loses consciousness while arriving at the climax of the sublime. In his most exalted poetic vision, he beholds the holy lustre of the Queen Moon and her starry Fays in the tender night sky. But soon common sense abruptly obtrudes, pulling the poet from up amid the stars down to the earthly gloom where there is no light . As if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is what Obi Wan screamed at Anakin before leaving him to burn almost to death on Mustafar. While this accusation makes sense from a Jedi point of view, from the Buddhist point of view, it is entirely unfounded. The Jedi, through their millennia of non virtuous actions, earned the non virtuous actions that happened to them. In fact, Anakin was just used as the instrument of karma in Revenge of the Sith. The Jedi are held up on a pedestal throughout the entire saga, but they are not perfect heroes. Just during the course of the movie, the Jedi lied and committed divisive speech, both of which are principle verbal non virtues. There are many times that they lie, not only amongst themselves, but also to the Chancellor and the Senate. Their biggest lies were in their omissions of information about their inability to access the force as easily, and when they told Anakin to lie to the Chancellor and spy on him. While the Chancellor is the antagonist of the film, that doesn t change the fact that when the Jedi forced Anakin to spy on his beloved friend, they were committing a non virtuous act. While Sam brought everything they seem to need for outdoor survival, Suzy brought (her brother s) record player, kitten food, records, books, lefty scissors, rubber bands, batteries, toothbrush, and binoculars. According to Sugai and Simonsen (2012), in the 1980 s it was decided that there was a need for a system that would better implement and document behavioral interventions for students who have a variety of behavioral disorders (BD). In the 1990 s it was added to the reauthorized Individuals with Disabilities Act. Over time it was decided that this system could also be beneficial for a school wide plan, instead of just students with behavioral disorders. They will feel that it is easier to gain your attention if your floating around the room, rather then standing in the same spot the whole time. The fifth practice talks about the importance of consistent and fair consequences. Teachers need to first know when to react. Ignoring minor behaviors that are attention seeking is important. Also, make sure that you are using constructive redirection, so the student will know where they went wrong. The final practice is to keep the student engaged. I found the interest in the concept of Vak in the paper. According to the paper, Vak is considered one of the female entity of Saraswati. Vak is disembodied , She is speech, or the essence of sound the fundamental creative impulse ( 2 ). Her entity is purely abstract. Picasso spent nine months painting Les Demoiselles D avignon, this paintings one of his most famous examples of cubism. Picasso proved to exist as one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century. He also joined an artist production that he spiritually believed would keep him alive. Picasso spent 80 out of his 91 years of living devoted to this group. While devoted to this group, he painted Les demoiselles d avignon . The painting consists of five prostitutes that stood on the street corner named Avignon, the red light district of Barcelona, a street that Picasso would frequently visit. The females in this painting fill the entire space, and they almost look as if they could be trapped. I believe that picasso made these women fill the space completely, attempting to symbolize the fact that the women were trapped in a lifestyle that they did not want to exist in. Picasso, much like the women of avignon, did not enjoy life during the time of this painting. Every painting Picasso did encouraged him to make it better than the previous, which I believe he truly captured all of that inside this painting. Picasso used colors to express the emotions he experienced during this period of time. He mainly used red, blue, white, and black. Picasso tried to keep the paint color as accurate to skin tone as he could ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Do Consequences Depend on Motives in Julius Caesar by... An American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr once said, All human sin seems so much worse in its consequences than in its intentions. In this statement, Niebuhr exclaims that the consequences of a situation are undeniably much worse than the motivation of one s instigation of their actions. This applies to the intentions and, more importantly, the consequences of the characters in both the play Julius Caesarby William Shakespeare and film Wall Street: Money Never Sleepsdirected by Oliver Stone. Even though some people have honorable intentions and mean no harm, the consequences can still be disastrous. In much the same way, those with fraudulent intentions also suffer in the end. Situations like these can be accurately viewed through both the play and the film. The characters Brutus and Jacob Moore have no other reason but to act in a worthy way. While Cassius and Gordon Gekko have deceptive intentions, consequences incur similar to Brutus and Jacob Moore. The intentions may seem like the most important consideration in a decision, but, in reality, the penalties can be the same no matter what the motives are. A motive to kill one s best friend requires deep thinking and a reasonable intention. Brutus, Caesar s best friend, has taken into consideration why he thinks killing Caesar is necessary. Although Brutus is Caesar s best friend, he has to come to conclusion that murdering him is his final decision when he asserts, Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome ... Comparing Olympia And Urbino In the painting, Olympia receives flowers from a helper who is staring at her, which was very controversial at the time due to the fact she was completely naked and it was seen as immodest. The flowers are presumed to be from a client, which gives more evidence to support her being a prostitute. A black cat is shown standing at Olympia s feet provide a stark contrast to the dog at Venus of Urbinos. While the dog is laying docilely at her feet, representing loyalty and love, the cat stands and almost seems to shake in shock and fear, representing secrecy and selfishness. The only accessories on Olympia are a choker, shoes, flower in her hair, and a bracelet, while Titian s Urbino only wear a bracelet and earrings presenting a more modest look.... I was overcome with panic that she s see me and call out my name, and that someone on the way to the party would spot us together and mom would introduce herself and my secret would be out (12).
