Thyroid gland (TG) secretes thyroxin and triiodothyronine (Garber et al., 2012). Its main
function is to make hormones and main job is to produce hormones T4 and T3 (Mortimer,
2011). To do this the human TG has to take a form of iodine from the bloodstream into the human
TG (Garber et al., 2012). This substance then undergoes a numerous of different chemical
reactions which resulted in the production of T3 and T4 (Mortimer, 2011). In order to make T4
and T3, TG needs iodine, a substance found in the food, both T4 and T3 contains four atoms of
iodine. T4 is then converted to T3 through the cells and tissues of the human body. More active

According to the rules described by Hobbes in Leviathan, I would not like to live in a
Commonwealth. The characteristics that discourage me from living in Hobbes Commonwealth are
1) the defense of a monarchy as the best constitution, 2) the exemption of the Sovereign from civil
laws and social contract, and his or her intact human nature resulting from these exemptions 3)
subjects restrictions to do things such as protest due to their covenant and 4) all who are not

violence issues, women s suffrage, and sexual harassment and gender based violence that is
inflicted upon women on a daily basis. This movement was full of women passionate for gender
based equality in the U.S, however this feminist movement was not as easy to join if you were a
black woman. A reason for this hardship was because of the racial conflict and tension that is
experienced by African Americanpeople living in the United States that is dated back to the
inhumane implantation of slavery. Racismin America is the result of the white social construction of
identity and the perpetrated norm of the otherness. The marginalization of disclosing black women
from the U.S. women s liberation movement demonstrates an explicit example of how the attempt
to protest for gender equality was overshadowed by a racialized closed door way of thinking.
