To develop meaningful instructional programs for technology education, goals need to be in place
to direct the outcomes of curriculum development and teaching. They go beyond everyday teaching
objectives; they are directed at long term learning and programmatic outcomes.
Performance standards measure how much of the content the student is proficient. Opportunity to
learn standards ensure the learning is student focused, everyone has a right to education and that
education should be learner centered. For an educational technology standard to be most effective it
needs to recognize these three standards. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)
has accomplished this with its National Educational Technology Standards (NETS). The standards
provided by NETS provide a comprehensive set of goals to encourage a technology integrated
education.
Introducing educational technology into the developing world is multidimensional and requires
many basic issues to be recognized and addressed. It is becoming recognized that telecentres and
the use of ICT in developing countries to assist in meeting the Millennium Development Goals is
becoming increasingly viable.

specific reforms that they each pushed for individually through their writings. While these three
authors had different reasons for pushing for reformation, they all seem to blend into one overall

Government censorship is a huge issue, particularly when it comes to media messages. There is a

tool many filmmakers use to fool their audience into thinking that what they are about to watch is

the depictions of race, culture, and events presented in the movie. ARGO, for instance, portrays
Iranians as anti American, angry and violent. Do anti American, angry, and violent Iranians exist?

to the care of patients, it is critical for nurses to be aware of the treatments that have been proven
to be evidence based. Systematic research reviews (SRR) are considered to have the highest
ranking or level of evidence falling under level 1 evidence for reliability, validity, and least amount
of error (Melnyk Fineout Overholt, 2015, p.607). The aim of this paper is to critique the chosen
SRR related to core temperature obtainment in children, relevance of the research problem to
nursing practice, rigor of the research found in the SRR to include levels of evidence and designs
of included studies, the clarity of findings, summarized findings in the SRR, and the implications
for practice.
Relevance of the Research Problem The proper yet least invasive route to perform the measurement
of a core temperature in children has been an ongoing debate. Common methods or routes include
axillary or in the armpit area, oral, rectal, tympanic, and temporal. Proper temperature measurement
with an accurate result is important for diagnosis and treatment, especially in febrile children. False
