1. 10 Page Essay Outline
Writing a 10-page essay outline can be quite challenging, especially when you're tasked with
outlining it for yourself. The difficulty lies not only in the sheer volume of content you need to
organize but also in ensuring that your outline effectively encapsulates the depth and breadth of
your intended essay.
Firstly, condensing your ideas into an outline format requires careful consideration of the main
points you want to cover and the logical flow of your argument or discussion. This demands a
comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand, as well as the ability to prioritize key
concepts and supporting evidence.
Moreover, crafting a coherent outline necessitates foresight into how each section of your essay
will unfold and how they will interconnect to form a cohesive whole. You must anticipate
potential counterarguments or alternative perspectives and incorporate them into your outline to
ensure a balanced and nuanced treatment of the subject matter.
Additionally, maintaining consistency and clarity throughout the outline poses its own set of
challenges. Ensuring that each point is adequately developed and properly aligned with your
thesis while avoiding repetition or unnecessary tangents requires both precision and conciseness.
Furthermore, the process of outlining can be iterative, often involving multiple revisions as you
refine your ideas and structure. This iterative nature adds another layer of complexity, as it
requires constant evaluation and adjustment to ensure that your outline accurately reflects the
evolving direction of your essay.
In conclusion, while writing a 10-page essay outline may seem straightforward at first glance, it
entails a myriad of challenges that demand critical thinking, organization, and revision.
Successfully navigating these challenges is essential for laying a solid foundation upon which to
build your final essay.

2. Social and Political Propaganda Essay
There are two types of propaganda: sociological propaganda; the spreading of an
ideology through the mass media, and political propaganda; efforts that are
sponsored by governments and political groups that alter a persons interests. All
propaganda has a direction, and the overall quality determines whether it will have a
positive or negative effect over the masses. Our entire nation is a vast propaganda
operational system that is greatly linked to education, consumerism and politics. A
great deal of what makes up propaganda and how it is placed among the masses lies
in understanding the overall emotional and physical states of these groups of people
and in finding a way to draw a persons attention to capture their hearts, breaking down

An example of this would be during times of war, more specifically World War II.
The idea of pinpointing was presented during this time, as it gave the people of the
U.S. reason to put a great deal of blame on another group or person, and it
presented the public to the concept of what was defined as wrong and what was
essentially right at that time. As Alia Hoyt had stated in an article for
HowStuffWorks.com, she believed that, Many other propaganda methods exist,
but they subsist on the same basic principles as the ones listed above: Manipulate
the message to portray an issue or person in the most favorable light possible, and
when necessary, make the opposing side look shabby in comparison (Hoyt 1).
Propaganda, in any case, can drastically change how a person thinks about a certain
thing whether politically, as seen by Nazi Germany in World War II, or
commercially, such as different forms of advertisements seen in the mainstream
media throughout the United States and all over the world. The use of propaganda
is a main factor in today s society, yet unfortunately, it is seen in a more fraudulent
manner than reliable. This shift of propaganda can lead to many misconceptions in
life as it may have faulty descriptions about things in society, yet more people are
allowing to consume their lives rather than fight against it and demand it to be shut
out from our everyday lives, if all it

To Believe and To Change Individuality arises when an individual encounters and
endures a life, taking their first step with their family which is the first society an
individual faces. Through their lives, individuals promote their own exclusive
originalities, while Ayn Rand s novella Anthem characterizes a totalitarian society
suppressing individualism. In the society depicted in Anthem, individualism is
oppressed by the society imposing children live away from their families which is
one form of totalitarian dictators authority. The intention of totalitarian dictators
enforcing the arrangement of children living apart from their families is to impede
individualistic society avert dissimilarities transpiring in the process of family
influences in education, forfend the enlightenment of emotions, and the establishment
of collectivism. We strive to be like all our brother men, for all men must be alike
(Rand 21). Although being divergent is a sin, transgression in Anthem society,
Prometheus, the protagonist, defies against collectivism by standing out and
becoming an outcast of himself in his society with self assurance and eagerness. No
one in Anthem society has individualidentity by inspecting the inexistence of the
word I, while Prometheus detects the Unspeakable Word, ego, exposing the readers to
envisage the propitious prospect of the establishment of individualism.
Women never see their children and children never know their parents (Rand 41).

5. The Relationship Between Native Canadians And White
Middle...
Since the beginning of mankind, nature has played an important role in the growth
and development of the given species. More so, it played an even bigger role when
talking about the relation between the two Canadian groups, natives and white men.
Their cultural interaction shifts across the spatial context where people lived, worked
and played. Since the late 19th century, the interaction between native Canadians and
white middle class population evolved around social and physical environments
surrounding natural spaces, more specifically, parks. In other words, their interaction
took place in natural, open spaces. Despite the different historical settings, the
communication between the two groups was an active component of the identities
and experiences of the Canadian citizen. In the 19th 20th century, interaction among
these two groups was based on cultural identity, where white Canadians wanted to
know more about the Indians who occupied the land and compare it to their own.
The secondary readings by Raibmon, Parnaby, and Wall, will let us analyze the
different historical settings of Home, Work, and Play respectively while analyzing
how nature played a key role. In the first historical space, home, the interaction
between these two groups initiated because of the growing curiosity of middle class
Canadians towards Aboriginal s homes and way of living. This curiosity was driven
by the public s interest in authentic Indian lives which were developed in nature.
6. How Did Irish Immigrants Become Successful
Success as an immigrant means that they have achieved economic stability.
Whether that is by having a stable job that pays well or being able to support your
family and pay your bills every month. Most struggle at first but end up achieving
this success, unlike the Irish immigrants. Irish immigrants failed at achieving
success in America because they lacked the important skills needed to become
successful, companies became anti Irish and many worked low class jobs. The Irish
Immigrants lacked many skills that were needed for different jobs throughout
America. Many had few or no urban or rural skills, except growing potatoes. Many
had only a grade school education and very few had a high school education. This
lack of education brought... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of the most important factors were that they had almost no skills for
working in agriculture or urban society. This was because many only knew how to
grow potatoes and Ireland was not industrialized by that time. Another factor was
the fact that many people and companies became anti Irish. The Irish did not know
how to behave in the workplace and many joined unions so they were not reliable.
Lastly, they worked in low class jobs. They had to take the dangerous jobs no one
else wanted because they were at the bottom of the social class and getting
discriminated against by companies. Today some people are discriminated against
because of how they look, speak or even sexual orientation. There are laws against
it but it still happens. Some will not get chances to even show themselves because
of those factors. Many people today are still racist and homophobic and will not
give them the chances they deserve. For all they could know they could be great
people. This relates to the Irish immigrants because they were sometimes not even
given a chance and had to work very dangerous jobs because of their ethnicity. This
caused them to be unsuccessful in American
7. Marriott Case Study
History of Marriott
Marriott was founded in 1927 by the married couple of J. Willard and Alice Marriott.
Their company started off as A W root beer stand in Washington D.C. While in the
restaurant franchise business, they introduced two major ideas with the Eastern Coast
s first drive in capable restaurant and airline catering for passengers to consume
boxed lunches mid flight. Later in 1953, Hot Shoppes, Incorporated transitions to
public by selling out in two hours of trading at $10.25 per share. Five years later,
Marriot makes a quintessential move into the hotel business by opening the earliest
motor hotel in Arlington, Virginia. Over the next quarter century, the brand opens its
first international hotel, becomes the first hotel company to enter the cruise business,
and announces the first Courtyard hotel for high level business travelers to lodge
with. Marriot offers multiple brands in the late 1900s that span over Europe and
Africa, along with other countries and continents. Finally, Marriott becomes the #1
hospitality company in the world with more than 5,700 properties across the world.
Evaluation of Marriott
Marriott is undoubtedly a thriving business in the top tier of the hospitality
industry. Any person does not have to look any further than their stock price of
over 100 dollars per share or their market cap worth around 39.79 billion dollars. In
class, we discussed customer service as an important part to every company s
success, and I can attest to this fact
8. My First Car Crash
Everybody remembers getting their very first car and discovering the limits they
could push with their car. Well, my first car was not anything special, just a bright
red 2008 Chevy Aveo5 Hatchback, which had a little less than eighty thousand
miles on it and was a manual transmission. This type of vehicle was far from being
considered fast, but at least it was enjoyable to drive due to it being a stick shift.
One of the worst habits an experienced driver can acquire is speeding, which I used
to experiment to see the maximum speedI could reach with my small red car.
Consequently, this mindset would all change after I endured the very first car crash
of my life in April, 2016.
It was a late Friday night, and I had just received a text from ... Show more content on

The car suddenly went off the road and into a large ditch, catching some air as its
forward momentum continued. The car and I abruptly stopped after we went head
first into a tree. At the same time, hearing and seeing the airbag go off, but also the
sound of screeching tortured metal crumpling as it hit the tree is what stains my
mind. The airbag obscured my vision and the plume of smoke that followed right
after. The smell of used gunpowder is what penetrated the air as I begin to get out
of the shock of what just happened. At first, I thought the car was going to set on
fire, so I quickly kicked open the crumpled door to get out. Once I was out, I was
struggling to get out of the thorn bushes that surrounded the perimeter of the
vehicle, which completely shredded both of my legs in the process. I was more
injured by the thorn bushes, than the actual crashed, which I found humorous. After
looking at the mangled metal that used to be my first car, I started to realize how
lucky I was. I was personally more angered about my stupidity than anything else,
yelling obscenities as a few people started to come closer to see if I was okay and
inspect the
9. Christian Teachings on Poverty and Wealth Essay
Christian Teachings on Poverty and Wealth
Ever since the beginning of the Christian faith, poverty and wealth have been a big
issue. Before Jesus was born, the rich would use religion to keep the poor away
from them. The wealthy thought their riches were a blessing from God and that their
faith and dedication was a reason for God bestowing them with wealth. They
believed that the poor were not true followers of God and therefore suffered with
poverty. They thought that the poor were not as important in the eyes of God.
However, Jesus himself was born in a poor family and he was born in a stable
where the animals were kept. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that

This was what Jesus was particularly against and believed that this was what would
prevent a select few from reaching heaven. Blessed are you who are poor, for yours
is the kingdom of God. But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received
your comfort. Luke 6: 20 and Luke 6:24. He believed that, You cannot serve both
God and money. Luke 16:13. All men and women were equal in God s eyes
regardless of status and wealth: There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male
nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26.
In the Bible, Saint James said that the most important people in heaven were the
outcasts of society making them one of the most loved people of God: Has not
God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to
inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? James 2:5. In 1Timothy
6:10, Saint Paul said that For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Through this quote, Saint Paul emphasizes that monetary problems lead to most
wrong doings such as stealing, corruption and gambling. Saint Paul did not
condemn money or wealth and neither did Jesus but said that the love of money
was wrong and this is what kept a rich man from entering heaven. He also said that,
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will
also reap generously.
10. Elder Abuse Research
One of the most used data collector used to measure abuse comes from the conflict
tactics scale also known as CTS (Sev er, 2014, p.283). Telephone interviews are
often used in Canada but also face to face interviews (McDonald, 2011). Face to
face interviews are one of the most reliable sources of data out there. Some of the
other data collected on elder abuse comes from social workers, reports, police
reports and reports from caregivers or health care providers (Barnett et al, 2011,
p.596). During 2001 about 33, 026 of elders got some sort of treatment in the
emergency department (Barnett et al., 2011, p.594). This is a reliable data source
because it is coming from an actual hospital that has seen victims of elder abuse.
According to statistics Canada (2011) more than 2400 elderly victims over the age
of 65 years encountered abuse in 2010 (Sev er, 2014,p.287).It is important to
remember that many cases of elder abuse do not get reported.... Show more content on

Also many elders do not report abuse because of disbelief, shame or fear of further
abuse (Sev er, 2014, p.287). As well a lot of victims are unaware they are being
abused (Barnett et al., 2011, p.590). Elder abuse as data has shown does not just
exist in family setting but in old age institutions (Sev er, 2010, p.287). However,
there is a lack of research and data on old age institutions committing elder abuse.
The largest form of abuse that the elderly experience is neglect which is also the
hardest to detect (Sev er, 2010, p.288). While Mandell Duffy (2005) argue that
financial abuse is the most common form of abuse against the elderly (p.305). It s
important to look at what elderly feel and think of elder abuse in society. In the data
collected by Ploeg et al (2013) shows emotional abuse as most committed by

11. Jim Jones Cult Theory
Sociologists view cult behavior as a deviance from society s norm. There are many
theories as to why a cult leader forms a cult and how they garner such complete
blind devotion from their members. While researching Jim Jones and The Peoples
Temple I discovered that this particular cult adhered to several of the proven
theories. Jones had few societal bonds and used fear and intimidation to control his
members. He was an extreme socialist turned communist; when his original goals
were met with resistance, he chose the path of rebellion, which was to reject society
s goals and seek to provide his own goals and means to accomplish them (Henslin,
2015). Jim Joneswas born in a small town in Indiana. His father was a disabled WWI
veteran who... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Land was purchased in Guyana and The Peoples Templerelocated with the intention
of forming a utopian commune, more than 1,000 members followed Jones to Guyana
(Rosenburg, 2016). Unfortunately, there was nothing utopian about Jonestown. The
commune was run like a prison camp and Jones was in complete control of all
members; no one could leave, phone calls to the States were scripted, letters in and
out were censored, and armed guards stood at the perimeters (pbs.org). Since
communications were severely restricted, Jones began preaching fear to maintain
his control; the Ku Klux clan was taking over American cities, nuclear war was on
the horizon, and concentration camps were being built to house blacks and political
activists (pbs.org). He would preach constantly over the loudspeaker, sometimes all
night long, and initiated suicide drills, which he termed revolutionary suicide. These
so called, white nights , where he would give the members a cup of red liquid that
they were told held poison, which they were then ordered to drink. Later, they were
told it was not poisoned and they had passed the loyalty test (Biography.com, 2014).
Jones told his members that, their deaths would be honored by the world as a
symbolic protest against the evils of mankind. He would further tell them that the
faithful would then be transformed and go to live with him on another planet (Harary,
12. Why I Read 2001 A Space Odyssey
Throughout my entire life, I have never truly analyzed the deeper meanings of the
books I read. It seems as if I was never able to see the big picture of some books, so
to speak. Instead, I treated books as simple entertainment, no more, no less. However,
this all changed when I read 2001 A Space Odyssey. Your book is filled to the brim
with interesting concepts, fascinating themes, and important messages. After I
finished reading this novel, my mind finally opened up. When I first read your
book, I was in the middle of Fifth Grade. Despite my reading comprehension skills
being top notch, I couldn t see past the basic storyline of most books. Important

Now that I was reading in between the lines, I started to notice your other message,
which regards technology. To me, your message was very clear: one day,
technology will reach a point in which humans could become replaceable. Now,
how did I come to this conclusion? The character known as Hal 9000 made me
realize this. The artificially intelligent robot you created within the story added a
whole new layer of depth to the book. It was awfully clear that Hal was able to
replicate human emotions perfectly. He didn t just malfunction because of a
computer glitch. Instead, it was because he, as a person, was conflicted. This is
both an extremely scary concept and a powerful message. Because Hal 9000 can
replicate human emotions, it devalues the entire purpose of living a human life. In
other words, there is no need for actual people anymore because computers can do
the exact same thing as humans. Once again, if this was pre Fifth Grade me, I would
just view Hal 9000 as a computer capable of intelligence who malfunctioned, no
more, no

From Novel to Film: The Strong Urge to Survive in Life of Pi
The will to live is a strong urge of survival that occurs when one s life is threatened.
The novel and film Life of Pi is about a boy named Piscine Molitor Patel who is lost
in the middle of the Pacific Ocean due to a shipwreck with a 450 pound Bengal
Tiger. The theme that fits the novel and film the best is the will to live. The novel
and film effectively prove the theme by using symbols to portray how badly Pi
wants to live. Characterization also plays an important role in proving the theme as
the novel and book show how Pi and his tiger have to change themselves to live.
Cinematic techniques such as different types of camera angles are used as well to
prove that the will to live is the essential theme in the film. In the novel, Yann Martel
shows how the camera angles prove what they prove. The film and novel Life of Pi
effectively capture the theme of the will to live by the effective use of symbolism,
characterization, and cinematic techniques.
To start off, the novel Life of Pi displays hope and survival through symbolism
using the colour orange. While Pi is in the ocean, there is orange all around him.
Shortly after Pi falls into the ocean and is swimming, he says that the ocean is
black and cold and in rage (Martel 117). As one can imagine, it s almost impossible
to survive in an ocean that is in rage but he gets onto the life boat and survives. After

History
Bob Carlton worked for his uncle, Mel, in a muffler shop in their hometown of
Chickasaw, Alabama when he was young. He tried his first time driving and found
out that he was not talented at it. Instead, he was good at making the engines. Thus,
his uncle gave him a corner of the shop to develop his interest: auto parts. He then
outgrew and had his own racing team clientele. With the phenomenal boom in the
National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), he never lacked a
business. He even had a long waiting list of customers. Then, he founded OptiMotors,
a midsize auto parts manufacturer.
Development
Roland, the accountant of OptiMotors, suggested Bob take the vacant space across
the town to increase their capacity so as to maximize the profits. Roland introduced
some angels investors to Bob and they persuaded Bob that the company had to invest
in high powered sales leadership. Bob agreed that the key to success was the magic
words of mouth. Therefore, the angels put him in touch with Galen McDowell, who
was excellent at socializing and training salespeople to become high performing.
Once Galen got into the job as the sales manager, he immediately hired a few
salespeople and taught them easier and faster ways to achieve targets. Within a few
months, OptiMotors got a call from a big client, Kinan Motors. The company was in
full production mode in improving its product quality because they wanted to close
the deals with Kinan.
15. The Economic Benefits of Legalizing Marijuana
The Economic Benefits of Legalizing Marijuana In 2007, the American economy
took a downturn known as the recession. People began looking for a quick fix to
our nation s economic problems and one fix may be right in front of us, with the
legalization of marijuana. The debate about legalizing marijuana has been going on
for the last decade with no end in sight. Politicians, economists, and everyday people
cannot come to an agreement over this growing issue. Today economists still
converse over how marijuana can benefit our nations failing economy as it has in the
past. The problem of our struggling economy is not one that can be easily fixed but
legalizing marijuana can be a huge step towards fixing it. The main reason marijuana

Legalizing marijuana wouldn t only make money it would also save money. If
legalized, the government would be able to cut federal programs that try to stop
the use and sale of marijuana. The federal government alone spends fourteen
billion dollars a year in efforts to stop drug trafficking (Barbour 34). This is a
ridiculous amount of money to spend during a time when thousands are out of
work and struggling to make ends meet. Federal and local governments spend an
additional forty four billion dollars a year fighting the war on drugs (Barbour 55).
All this money could be going to better programs such as our failing school
systems or the creation of jobs. If we legalized marijuana we could potentially save
about 40 billion dollars. The federal government isn t the only one spending
ridiculous amounts of money; organizations like the ONDCP spend billions of
dollars discouraging the use of pot (Mikos N.P). It also costs ten to fifteen billion
dollars to enforce marijuana laws (Nadelmann N.P). Marijuana prohibition costs
taxpayers at least 7.5 billion dollars annually (Gieringer N.P). Taxpayer s money
should be going to better causes such as social security instead of going to arresting
marijuana users. Legalizing marijuana would be a great idea even though it has its
risks. Marijuana has been a big deal in the past and is still a big deal today.

We retired early that evening, and slept well. With the pressure we had been under
now somewhat abated, we awoke the next morning rested and refreshed, ready for
whatever the day might bring. Stapleya and Wisceya were eager to see the
wonders of Las Vegas. Estelle and Jill had told them enough to pique their
curiosity, although the fur girls insisted it was impossible and we must be kidding
them. Compared to their home world, I am sure our entire planet seemed like an
impossibility, so why they would balk at one more impossible thing, I could not
say. We pulled out of the motel parking lot before dawn and drove straight down
Interstate 15 without stopping except to buy fuel or to answer nature s call.
Although we had eschewed Interstate highways in prior day s travels, we really had
no choice now. Besides, we had no reason to suspect Alex would be looking for us
here. Passing through the St. George area, Estelle remarked on the nuclear
contamination in the area from the atomic bomb testing, and the many diverse cases
of cancer in the people living here then. Our extraterrestrial visitors became curious
as to those events which led us into a long discussion of warfare on Earth and the
horrors it had brought, and the worries and politics of Nuclear power. This occupied
our conversation for many miles as we lamented the missed potential, the waste and
the suffering brought forth by the Nuclear genie. We reached the Las Vegas
metropolitan area without incident. Before leaving

18. Physician Assisted Dying Case Summary
The Supreme Court of Canada s ruling concerning physician assisted dying in the
case of Carter vs. Canada answers the following two questions: 1) Does the current
law against physician assisted dying infringe an individual s right to life, liberty
and security and 2) If the law is a violation of this right, is this violation justified
under the Charter of Right s general limitation clause. The Supreme Court of Canada
s decision on the first question was in the affirmative. The Supreme Court rules that
the prohibition of physician assisted dying is void because it deprives a competent
adult of assistance when (1) the person affected clearly consents to the termination of
life; and (2) the person has a grievous and irremediable medical condition... Show

At the stage of the analysis deemed minimal impairment there is an inquiry to see
if whether there are less harmful means of achieving the legislative goal. It is the
government s responsibility to show that there are less drastic means available
than simply prohibiting all physician assisted dying. The trial judge must
determine if there is a solution less restrictive of life, liberty and security of the
person that also addresses the concerns associated with physician assisted dying.
The trial judge heard evidence from a wide array of experts and concluded that
despite there being risks a permissive regime with properly designed and
administered safeguards was capable of protecting vulnerable people from abuse and
error. The Court upheld this decision so it was ruled that the absolute prohibition of
physician assisted dying wasn t minimally impairing. Because it was deemed not
minimally impairing the law it can t be considered proportionate, therefore the
infringement on section 7 of the Charter, against the rights to life, liberty and security

understandings in this series of work. According to those studies on object and
shapes, my central idea can be concluded into just one word which is container . I
view the Conical Hat series are containers. Then, what is the container? Container is a
Middle English word. It comes from contain with er. It is a noun which means
anything that contains or can contain according to The Macquarie Dictionary. In The
Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, container appears as a word under the explanation

Beyond to describe different kinds of containers, the act to be a container can
mean something else and worth to think about it. Being a container can be seen as
taking the role of protection, storage or transportation. Different container can
have different roles. It gives container a character that can be classified. Besides,
from the other side of this idea, after a container been found, the act afterwards also
be assigned. It is like when you found a jar, what you put in it will give the jar its
value. Or like, you give different values to the same jar than other people did to it.
According to the analysis of container, there are two levels of how my Conical Hat
series links to the concept of the container. First, conical hat is a kind of container.
Second, conical hat is a container of emotion. Conical hat is the container is the
direct connection. From geometric sense, conical hat is a hollow cone shape, which
enables it could contain something in it. The object, which has ability to hold things,
can be called container, which is not related to it should or should not. It is a very

20. Hermia In A Midsummer s Night Dream
Although some may argue that Puck is the most important character of Shakespeare
s A Midsummer s Night Dream, it is evident based on the events of the play that
Hermia should be given that title. First, although she was oppressed by her father
and treated as if she were his property, she rose above the persecution and took
matters into her own hands. In addition, her actions represent and support the theme
of fighting for what you want, even if the course of true lovenever did run smooth
(I.i.134). Finally, like many protagonists from literature, she has bold and complex
personality, but is still a relatable characterfor many readers. The first reason that
Hermiashould be considered the main character of A Midsummer s Night Dream is
because... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once Hermia and Lysander set up their plans to elope, everything seemed to be
going smoothly for the couple. However, when Puck mistakenly put the potion on
Lysander s eyelids, things took a turn for the worst. Although she could have given
up and decided it wasn t worth trying to force him to love her again instead of
Helena, she knew that he was the one for her and was willing to fight for him. For
instance, when Helena seemed to have stolen both men from Helena, even though
they have been friends for years, she is willing to do whatever it takes to get him
back. She states, How low am I? I am not yet so low/But that my nails can reach
unto thine eyes (III.ii.305 306). This shows that she would be even go as far as
hurting her best friend to get her lover back, which relates back to the quote of the
course of true love never did run smooth (I.i.134). In a somewhat predictable
conclusion, Puck removes the potion from Lysander and everything goes back to
normal. Because she showed her true passion for Lysander earlier, even though they
only see it as a dream, their love only grows stronger and they get married publicly in

A lot of Bruner s work was powered by earlier theoretical research of Vygotsky and

constructivism is a psychological and philosophical perspective contending that
individuals form or construct much of what they learn and understand.

23. Example Of A Worldview Essay
A worldview is a set of basic beliefs about the nature of reality. It affects the way a
person behaves and responds to different circumstances. When young, our
worldview is influenced by parents, who tell us what is right and wrong. However,
as we grew up, our life experiences come to shape worldviews that we hold as
adults. As scientists, our worldviews matter a great deal. Whether theist or atheist, it
is critical to know what we consider to be our responsibility towards everyone and
everything around us. In this paper, I talk about views of a number of scientists about
Godand creation and the impact of these beliefs on their approach to science. In
addition, we will look at different natural phenomena and what they tell us about the
Intelligence design behind them. I will also discuss the effects of human actions on
the environment and what can be done to keep it clean.
Isaac Newton is one of the most prominent scientists in recent times. He is known
for his contribution on understanding gravity, and he contributed a lot in calculus.
Many thinkers and scientists of his time tried to explain everything using science
excluding the role of God in their explanation. Unlike them, Newton was a strong

When it comes to investing, millennials have a different approach than their parents.
Young investors, who have been through two market crashes, have developed
skepticism and mistrust towards banks and traditional advisory services. Many
millennials prefer to save and forgo investing all together. For those willing to test the
market, technology and social trends play a significant impact on their decision
making. With millennials now outnumbering baby boomers in the U.S., many
traditional financial servicesstrive to connect with the younger generation. This
comes on the heels of a noticeable upward trend in financial technology and online
wealth management. Through the use of technology, robo advisors have built a
successful foundation for attracting young investors.
Technology
Given their love of technology, it comes as no surprise that millennials are
gravitating towards financial technology. Young investors are accustomed to using
technology for every aspect of their lives and investing is no different. Their
relationship with technology makes digital asset management more appealing. Young
adults are more inclined to make choices via a smartphone over in person
interactions. Not only do millennials prefer accessible apps and web based platforms,
but automation has played a major factor in the success of robo advisors. Millennials
are accustomed to subscribing to all their services electronically. To them, investing is
another service that should be automated. Compared

The Role and Significance of the Monastic Life in Medieval Christianity
What is monasticism?
The central and original role of the monastic life can be drawn from the meanings
of the words monk and hermit . the word monk comes from the Greek word
monaches which means solitary and hermit from heremites a desert dweller. The
early monks and nuns were just that: men and women who fled the worldliness of
urban life and the ethos of a church that was at the time of Anthony and St. Paul and
established institution of the Roman Empire. They fled to the desert to repent and
seek God by prayer, fasting and hard manual labour. In the desert they practiced an
aesthetical lifestyle of great poverty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore to begin with in order to set the monastic life in context I am briefly going
to look at society in the medieval Christianity civilisation.
For many centuries in the medieval west the rule for monks composed by Saint
Benedict provided the standard pattern of monastic observance.
What was the Benedictine rule?
Richly endowed, and sometimes exploited by lay rulers, the great Benedictine
abbeys came to hold a prominent place in the social landscape of Europe as
landowning corporations, ecclesiastical patrons and centres of learning.
we must wrote Benedict in his preface create a scola for the Lord s Service. in the
language of the sixth century the word scola had a military as well as academic
sense; it meant a special regiment of corps d elite.
(Lawrence: :28)
The Benedictine monastery was not a place of quiet retreat or leisure, neither was it a
school in the academic sense; it was a kind of unit in which the recruit was trained
and equipped for his spiritual warfare under an experienced commander the abbot.
The central objective of the Benedictine monasteries was the conquest of spirituality
and self will that made a man receptive to God. In order to achieve this the rule
prescribed careful ordered routine of prayer, works and study which filled the day,
varying only according to the liturgical year and
26. The Difference Between The Women Situation Of Ireland
From...
Introduction
The aim of this report is to compare the difference between the women situation in
Ireland from the independence till the present day, how it changed during those years.
One of the biggest impacts to Irish society in the past 50 years has been the changing
the role of women, with more females participating in the workforce and more in
professional positions and this has caused relationship and family dynamics to shift.
Until the last few years of the twentieth century Ireland was the most sexually
repressed country in Europe, where women were classed as the second type citizens
and the Catholic Church ruled virtually unchallenged. Church and state maintained
that women should hold a certain morality, particularly relating to areas of sexuality
and reproduction. As a result, until relatively recently, Irish women s issues remained
largely ignored and therefore unremarked upon.
(Irish Constitution 1922)
One of the questions facing the Cosgrave government in 1922 with the establishment
of the Irish Free State was the role of women in the new State. The 1916
Proclamation of the Republic had claimed the allegiance of every Irishman and
Irishwoman and guaranteed equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens .
All had their hopes dashed. Both governments led by Cosgrave in the 1920s and
Fianna Fail governments led by de Valera in the 1930s enacted legislation depriving
women of a number of rights.
In 1924, the government proposed to exempt all
27. Categorical Imperative Examples
Summarize as best you can the basic moral outlook embodied in the rule, which
Kant believes applies to all rational agents: always act so as to treat humanity,
whether in yourself of in another, as an end and never merely as a means (126).
What does it mean to say this is a categorical imperative ? Do you agree with Kant
that we can think of this as a command or moral law that is derived from our own
rational nature? Further, provide an example of an action that could be recommended
on utilitarian grounds, but which this moral principle would rule out. Which do you
agree with more about this example utilitarianism or Kantianism? Briefly explain.
The categorical imperative states Act only on those maxims that you can will as a
universal law (CITATION). This sounds abstract, so here is a dissection. A maxim
is a law that you give yourself, that you always follow. An example of a maxim is: I
will only keep my promises when convenient to me. A universal law is a maxim
that applies to all rational creatures. So, the categorical imperative is: Only follow
the personal rules that could be followed by everyone. What would cause a rule to
not work as a universal rule? Contradiction. Let s take our earlier example of a
maxim and see what would happen if everyone followed that maxim. If everyone
only kept promises when it was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kant s categorical imperative gives a different response. Since killing a person in
order to save others treats the human as a means, and has no respect for their right
to life, killing the person would break the above maxim, violating the categorical
imperative. In this example, I agree more with Utilitarianism s reasoning. If a person
is going to die either way, their rights will be violated the same amount regardless of
who kills them, making that aspect not really

Fourth, e cigarettes emit secondary exposure of nicotine within their range. In the
study by Dr. Cheryl, e cigarettes can cause secondhand smokers around the areas of e

were detected higher. While other two metals, potassium, and zinc were at a lower

of substances in the mist of vapor from e cigarettes as a measurement to conduct this
study. While being supported by the German Cancer Research Center, a group of
experts performed the sample study to measure the secondary exposure by the e
cigarettes (GCRC 1 2).
Although the result of nicotine exposure from e cigarettes is only 13.56% of the
conventional cigarette, there were other substances having a higher level. The result
showed that metals were at a higher level than the conventional cigarettes. Therefore,
e cigarettes can emit secondary exposure of nicotine to the surroundings; users need
to be cautious when using the e cigarettes in
30. The Equal Pay Act And The Civil Rights Laws
On June 10, 1963, Congress passed the Equal Pay Act this law made it illegal to
pay women lower wage rates for the same job strictly based on their sex. Before
that, separate job listings for men and women advertised in newspapers with
different pay scales for the same jobs with the highest level jobs advertising for men
only. Subsequently, two important court cases, Schultz vs. Wheaton Glass (1970)
which ruled jobs only need to be substantially equal and not identical to be protected
under the Equal Pay Act and Corning Glass Works vs. Brennan (1974) that
determined women could not be paid less simply because they would work at a
lower pay rate than men helped to strengthen and further define the Equal Pay Act
(Rowen). Although the Equal Pay Act and the civil rights laws that followed helped
change the workplace and began to combat wageinequality these laws have not
closed the persistent gap between women s and men s wages.
While such rulings must not be discounted, the decrease in the wage gap is in
comparison small, when compared to the fact that between 1950 1960 women
working full time earned on average 59 64 cents for every dollar men earned in the
same job (Rowen). In addition, according to a recent report by the National
Partnership for Women and Families, America s Women and the Wage Gap (2016),
on average women in the United States are paid 80 cents for every dollar paid to men
amounting to an annual gender wage gap of $10,470. These wage gaps amount to loss

Our nation as a whole would improve dramatically for many reasons. The largest
benefit of having a strong and educated workforce is the potential to pull the

Furthermore, the advantages of free third level education are endless. Lastly,
everyone deserves to explore their full potential and build the future they want and
not the one that is handed to them because of lack of resources. Bernie s plan for

The movie A Bug s Life greatly portrays the way humans have interacted within
various economic systems. It resembles the old traditional economies like
imperialism, modern market capitalism and historical revolutions. The ant colony,
which is the movie s source of struggle and triumph, represents a typical old
traditional economy. The ants relied on the fruits of their own labor. In other words,
they are farmers like the other third world countries in our today s world. However,
the time came when they no longer farm for themselves anymore. Since the

It s always like that. Flick found the warriors and convinced them to aid him in his

but circus clowns. Knowing that they will fight grasshoppers, the hired bugs
intend to leave the colony and Flick was very terrified. Flick followed the bugs and
argued with them how he was deceived by them. An economic concept enters when
Flick said that it was a false advertisement. After the bugs save the former queen s
daughter, the circus clown bugs was forced to stay in the colony. One night, Flick
came up with an idea of building a bird to scare the grasshoppers. Flick told his
plan to the queen and the queen relayed Flick s idea to the rest of the colony. The
colony then builds this project bird. In here, you will see how a colony can achieve
anything if they work together. Back in grasshopper s territory, the leader explains
how Flick s stand against the grasshoppers, when they last visited, would affect the
ants. That they have the capability to revolt. If one ant stands against them, it s
bearable, but if the whole colony stands to fight against them, the grasshopper can
be defeated. This was proven when Flick s bird plan failed. The ants have learned to
make their stand because of Flick. The way the ants brace their arms to fight against

33. Puritan Flower Metaphors
When asked about what they know of the Puritans, many people immediately mention
their strict lifestyles. Puritans are mostly pictured wearing rigid black clothing and
thumping their Bibles. However, Puritans were fascinatingly smart and creative
people. Their writings, though mostly dedicated to God and his glory, contain
beautiful scenes from nature and interesting metaphors. One common comparison
that these writers make is that of comparing themselves to flowers. By looking closer
at why and how this metaphor is commonly used, one could learn many things about
the Puritans and their theology. In several Puritan poems, the authors refer to
themselves, their children, or their grandchildren as flowers or trees. In Anne
Bradstreet s poem In... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If one were to think of humans as flowers in a garden, then that must make God the
gardener. In both Anne Bradstreet s and Edward Taylor s poetry, they describe their
little flowers being plucked or cropped by God s hand. In Taylor s poem Upon
Wedlock, and Death of Children, he writes Lord take t. I thank Thee. Thou take st
ought of mine: ( Wedlock 28). This may seem harsh to the modern reader, that God
would forcefully take their children and grandchildren, and that they would then
thank him for it. However, to the Puritans, this was common sense. This idea that
God has a hand in and moves all things, it present in almost all of their writings. In
Mary Rowlandson s captivity narrative, she thanks God for every good thing that
happens to her, and every bad thing. She, like the other Puritans, believe that every
event in their lives was enacted by God and served some purpose. In her instance,
she believes that God was punishing her for not respecting the Sabbath day like she
ought to have. Similarly, Anne Bradstreet believes that the death of her grandchild
was directly enacted by God. She ends the poem with the lines And buds new
blown to have so short a date,/ Is by His hand alone that guides nature and fate (
Memory I 13 14). If God decrees everything that happens, then that must mean that
free will does not exist, that the human race is merely doing what God has made
them do. Thus, the extended metaphor of humans as flowers makes even more
sense. Flowers do not have a choice where they are planted or when they will be
picked. It is entirely up to the

In the century since the Arts and Crafts movement first flourished, the Providence Art
Club and the Fleur de Lys Studio have undergone inevitable change, melding different
and newer ideas about art and craftsmanship. Still, there are many examples of the
movement s objects to observe within both buildings. While Artsand Crafts reformers
generally tried to create lasting works, their love of natural materials sometimes
meant that it was not as easy for the pieces to stand the test of time. As objects
decayed, styles changed, and firecodes were updated, so have the Providence Art

If one were to sit on the bench, they would find that their positioning also ensures
visual access to the main portion of the rest of the room, instead of being limited to

natural light, as well as to remind visitors of the beauty of nature outside the building.
The lack of a built in bench opposite to match this one allows for greater
rearrangement of the room depending on the desires of the inhabitants. As Irene
Sargent advocated with Gustav Stickley in The Craftsman writings, simple, easily
maintained, moveable furniture in the home was ideal. This concept would likely
have been useful for the studio as well. The Fleur de Lys Studio was not built to as a
home, but the activity surrounding the people who built it and the movement during
which it was created would have meant that many people visited the studio. The
structure of the inglenook promotes the importance of community without making it
impossible to use the space in other ways as well. Today, the room is organized
according to the needs of only one artist, but the structure and arrangement of the
inglenook remain, ready to resume their function should the need

Brutus: The True Tragic Hero of Julius Caesar
In Julius Caesar, it would make sense to assume Julius Caesar is the tragic hero
being that the title of the play is Julius Caesar; however Brutus is arguably the real
tragic hero due to several reasons: he remains for the entirety of the story unlike
Caesar, he possesses a character flaw that brings about his downfall and also learns
something about himself. Before any argument is made, it is important to define
tragic hero: A man or woman who was a respected royal or noble person who
possessed some character flaw that would eventually bring about his/her downfall;
the flaw was often pride, anger, or just rash behavior which causes him to suffer
and learn something important about himself. This definition is important as it will
determine why Brutus is or isn t the tragic hero of the play. Although Caesar dies

Slave Codes in the Pre Civil War United States
Prior to the emancipation of the slaves in the United States , there were several laws
governing the identities and the relationships of people with slaves . These laws were
prevalent in the states that allowed slavery , especially in the South . These codes
stipulated the rights of masters toward their slaves and defined the status of slaves in

(Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention). A stroke is a point where the brain
has an interruption of a blood supply (usually are blood clots). Strokes can block the
blood that flows to the heart and can result in heart attacks, cardiac arrest, dizziness,
slurred speech, etc (Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention). All of these
conditions are the main aspects of cardiovascular disease (WebMd.com). Most of the
conditions in cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by methods like identifying
the symptoms and maintaining a healthy lifestyle (Centers for Diseases Control and

Results The hypotheses tested for this study were college student females are more
likely to support gun control than college student males and college student
Democrats are more likely to support gun control than college student Republicans. In
order to test both hypotheses, both of the independent variables will be tested with
two survey questions. The independent variable gender will be tested with the survey
statement, There should be more gun ownership regulations. Measuring the level of
which the participant agrees or disagrees will give insight whether females or males
favor more gun ownership regulations. Second, the independent variable political,

The two variables used in the crosstab were the independent variable, political party,
and the dependent measure, level of agreeableness towards the statement, More gun
control related laws will result in less gun violence. For example, all of the
Republican college students answered either strongly disagree (25%) or disagree
(75%) to the statement. Further, a majority of Democrat college students agreed with
the statement (75%) with the other 25% disagreeing. An interesting note however
that 100% of the non affiliated college students disagreed with the statement aligning
them more with the Republican college students. These results support my
hypothesis because the results show there are more Democrats agreeing with the
statement to have more gun control because it will cause less violence. Also, the
Pearson s R measurement (+0.312) showed there is a weak positive trend between
the two variables. In other words, if one is a democrat, one is more likely to agree
with the statement. I have confidence in these results, but would probably have
greater confidence if the sample size was much
39. Automatic Temperature Fan Speed Control
INTRODUCTION: This is a standard circuit which can be used to adjust the
brightness of mains lights and the speed of AC motors. It uses a triac, diac and has
a radio frequency interference (RFI) noise suppression circuit built into it as well.
The circuit controls the average power to a load through the triac by phase control.
The AC supply is applied to the load for only a controlled fraction of each cycle.
The triac is held in an OFF condition for a portion of its cycle then is triggered ON
at a time determined by the circuit. Each time the triac is turned on, the load current
changes very quickly a few micro seconds from zero to a value determined by the
lamp resistance and the value of the mains voltageat that instant in time.... Show more

At this instant in time no current is flowing in either direction. This is the point at
which a dimmer is electronically synchronized to turn the power ON or OFF. By
chopping the waveform at the zero crossing point, smooth dimming can be achieved
without the lamp flickering. This turning on and off of the power device occurs
every time the mains crossing point is reached (half phase), 100 or 120 times per
second. Typically light dimmers are manufactured using a Triac or Thyristoras the
power control device. These electronic parts are semiconductors not dissimilar to
transistors. A Thyristor is a Uni. directional device and hence, because AC power
flows in both directions, two are needed. A triac is a bidirectional device and
therefore only one is needed. An electronic circuit determines the point in time at
which they turn ON (conduct). The ON state continues until the next zero crossing
point, at which point the device turns itself OFF. The electronic circuit then provides
a delay, which equates to the dimness of the lamp, before turning the control device
back on. The slight capacitance of the load, filters the chopped waveform resulting in
a smooth light output. Some controllers use a microprocessor control with the above
timing function being handled by an analogue circuit. More sophisticated systems,
called digital dimmers, operate the switching direct from microprocessor. This has the
advantage of greater reliability, quieter operation, lower cost and smaller

One of the most well known Supreme Cases involving student rights was the
Tinker v. Des Moines Independent School District decision of 1969. The verdict
quickly became a precedent for many other decisions involving school issues and
is very relevant today. In December of 1965, students attending Des Moines Public
Schools held a meeting at Christopher Eckhardt s house to conduct a plan to show
their support for a truce in the ongoing Vietnam War. They resolved to wear black
armbands during the holiday season and also to fast on December 16 and on New
Years. The principals at the school received word of the plan, and on December 14,
they established a policy that banned armbands in school. Anyone who refused to
remove the armband at a teacher s request would be suspended. However, this did
not deter Mary Beth Tinker and Christopher Eckhardt, who, on December 16, wore
their armbands and were sent home. John Tinker did the same thing the next day and
was immediately sent home. None of them returned to school until after New Years.
Their fathers then sued the schools for violating their children s right to freedom of
expression. However, the District Court dismissed the case, and the US Court of
Appeals affirmed the decision, because of this, the families appealed to the Supreme
Court. The children s right to free speech was being violated. They argued that their
protesting of the war was within the confines of the First Amendment. Since their
wearing of the bands did not

In the last decades of the Victorian period, East London was predominantly inhabited
by the working classes. The working classes mainly consisted of the native English
population, Irish immigrants, and immigrants belonging to Central and Eastern
Europe and German Jews, many of whom were living in extreme poverty and great
numbers of these immigrants were residing in Whitechapel. It can be suggested
through research, that the Whitechapel murders helped historians to develop their
understanding about the viewpoint that many people had in regards to immigrants,
specifically those who belonged to the working class. This can be demonstrated
through the fact that although there was no evidence to prove that the killer was a
person who belonged to the Jewish community, a number of newspapers continued to
broadcast and support the view that the murders were foreign in character. Historian,
Blair, writes, the exacerbated pre existing anti Semitism and put Jews in an
unfortunate position of being a very convenient scapegoat on which to vent
frustrations and fears of the working class (Blair, 1996:490). This point can help in
many ways, such as being able to identify and understand the issues within the

44. Theories Of Virtue Ethics And Utilitarianism
A variety of ethics theories can be applied to this particular situation, however only
two will be discussed in detail. Virtue ethics and utilitarianism are relevant in the
scenario regarding the conjoined twins. Virtue ethics is described as being an action
is right if and only if it is what a virtuous agent would do in similar circumstances
(Shockley). Utilitarianism is a part of consequential ethicsand it basically states that
whatever benefits the needs of the majority is superior to those of a minority. The
agent in the definition of virtue ethicsis a person who abides by a morally right life.
They live a life of excellency and strive to be the very best they can be. Some people
criticize this branch of ethics, because there are vast differences on what constitutes
as a virtue(Shockley). There is also the point that it particularly focuses on a single
individual, and their overall... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With that plan of action, they are basically choosing to let Mary die to allow Jodie
the chance of living. The question to consider here is this: is it better to let both
girls die or at least let one of them have the opportunity to be able to live her life? It
is a very difficult question to fathom, but the general idea behind the concept of
utilitarianism is how good or bad the consequence will be. Letting Mary die is sad
to think about, but it will be redeemed by the end result: Jodie living. Realistically
speaking, Jodie has a much stronger body than Mary, and if Mary is kept intact, she
would only continue draining Jodie s strength and ultimately her life. It is how good
the aftermath is, that determines if an action is right or wrong. So in conclusion, it
would be morally right to separate the two girls and let Jodie live, at the unfortunate
expense of her sister Mary. One life saved is better than none at

Part 1: The Bibliography of Heady Lamarr
Hedy Lamarr was born Hedwig Maria Eva Kiesler in Vienna, Austria on November
9, 1914 to Emil and Gertrud Kiesler. According to several sources Hedy was
extremely spoiled by her father as he doted on her constantly and encouraged her
love of scientific exploration, conversely her mother Gertrud was reportedly much
sterner with Hedy. According to Hedy and her family, Hedy s goal was always to
be an actress so it was no surprise to her contemporaries when she dropped out of
school to join the theater. It s important to note that the theater was a well respected

This is how Hedy gained the knowledge necessary to work with George Antheil in
the development of the Secret Communication System . The biggest issue for
Hedy while she was married to Friz was that she was not allowed to work, she
described her marriage to him as Being kept in the Gilded Cage and she eventually
had to escape the marriage and flee to Paris. This is where she eventually met up
Louis B Mayer, a talent scout in Europe, who helped her move to America, change
her name to Hedy Lamarr, and begin her Hollywood career.
Furthermore interesting is that after Hedy patented her invention, the Navy
denied to use it; stating that it just took up too much space onboard their already
over packed ships. But Hedy had a will to help with the war efforts, so she went on
a campaign to sell war bonds through the influence of her celebrity status. After
which she continued her film career for a total of 33 movies [3], raised three
children one of which she adopted, and married and divorced five more times. Hedy
eventually died on January 19, 2000 in her home in Casselberry, FL, ironically
enough she spent most of her last few years in seclusion only communicating with
her family via a cellphone, the very technology her invention helped create.

Abstract: Enzymes take care of catalysis in living organisms. They are used mainly
for commercial uses for example, to produce sugars. Throughout the experiment,
bacterial amylase, Bacillus lichenifomis, and fungal amylase, Aspergillus Oryzae,
were being tested in order to determine the optimal point of the temperature for the
respective amylase. The optimal temperature is the temperature at which the enzyme
works best. In order to determine the break down of starch, the mixing of amylase
with starch would occur. With the help of iodine as an indicator, it could be noted
which temperature was the optimum. The outcome showed that for the bacterial
amylase, hydrolysis worked best at 55 degrees Celsuis. As for the fungal amylase,
hydrolysis worked best at 25 degrees Celsius. As the temperature passed its optimal
point, the enzyme would denature or change shape,3 due to the change in the
environment. This can be seen with the color changes. Where hydrolysis worked
best, it had a bright yellow color as seen in Figure 1. When the enzyme would
denature, the color would change to black as seen in Figure 2. All in all, the
experiment proved to be successful although there may have been possible sources of
47. How Does Shakespeare Present Women In Much Ado About
Nothing
To David Underdown, the late sixteenth and early seventeenth century should be
described as a period that involved a crisis in gender relations (Underdown 85,
quoted in Eales 106). With that said, Shakespeare had been writing and/or staging
the bulk of his works during this period of crisis. In both Love s Labour s Lost and
Much Ado About Nothinghe explores, and by doing so challenges, the century s
notions of proper masculine and feminine behaviour. One, and if not the most,
notable dispute that Shakespeare makes with his characters in these two plays is
involving wit and intelligence; Women, who were generally regarded as the less
intellectual genderare shown in these plays to have great wit and are able to
manipulate language to their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, the men in Love s Labour s Lost attempt (attempt emphasized) to focus
on academics instead of trifling with women. Similarly, the women of Love s Labour
s lost seem disinterested in the prospect of marriage to the point that they are willing
to put their marriages on hold (which is an example of exercising power on the
women s part). Similarly, Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing
seem to detest the idea of marriage and being married at the beginning of the play
(she would rather hear a dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves her).
Benedick questions Claudio But I/ hope you have no intent to turn husband, have

these characters serve to point out that neither the males or females are correctly
following the gendered roles of the time. Men and women were set to be married to
gain status or, simply, to procreate. Shakespeare gives his character s deeper
emotions and feelings as opposed to following the social norm and the expected

Tory Burch LLC designs dresses and skirts, tunics, tops, sweaters, jackets and
outerwear, pants and shorts, denims, and swimwear; and shoes, such as boots and
booties, heels, wedges, flats, slippers and loafers, sneakers, espadrilles, sandals, and
flip flops are just a few of the products that the brand markets. Recently, Tory Burch
LLC has been expanding at a fast pace, expanding its line to sell handbags, which

cosmetic cases, jewelry, tech accessories, sunglasses and eyewear, and belts, as well
as hats, scarves, and gloves.
Behind this operation is a woman known as Tory Burch. After noticing a void in the
market for affordable sophisticated American style, Burch decided to take a leap of
faith and create a fashion label that would reflect that lifestyle of preppy boho luxury
at an attainable price.
Tory used funding from her husband at the time, Chris Burch, to start up her

History of law offers us an understanding how the law evolves and change with time
and place. When we try to interpret the various roots of Canadian law, different
questions arise Why the laws illegal in the past are legal now? Can we understand
the past and the current law based on the traditional roots of law, such as a statute,
case law, custom, and books of authority? Alternatively, there is something else one
has to look into to interpret the roots of Canadian law adequately. What can we
imagine about the future laws in Canada? Will it be the same as we face it today or
will switch with time? Does a careful examination of the social, political, economic
sources of Canadian law help us understand the current and the past, most specifically,

Challenge of Ageing Population
Synopsis: The ageing of the population has become on of the major talking points of
modern economics and its implications for world growth in the future. This essay
examines the causes of the demographic shift by focusing on the changes in mortality
and fertility experienced by the developed and developing world. It then attempts to
answer some of the questions about the economic implications of ageing populations,
including implications for future economic growth, the government s fiscal position
and the level of national savings. It concludes by presenting policy options that the
government may adopt to offset the negative effects associated with population
ageing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This suggests that the fall in fertility is actually as a result of a fall in the desired
fertility of woman. So the real question to answer is why desired fertility falls. Weil
(2005) identifies four channels that may explain what it is about development that
leads to lower fertility:
i)The effect of the mortality reduction: With a significantly reduced mortality
families need to have less children to produce the same number of surviving adults
ii) Income and Substitution effects: higher incomes raises women s relative wages
and thus the opportunity cost of children go up relative to household incomes. iii)
Resource Flows Between Parents and Children: In poorer countries children are
often a form of insurance against old age, and are able to pay their own way at a
much younger age than in developing countries. iv) Quality Quantity Trade Offs: A
lot of spending on children is voluntary and may indicate that parents are choosing to
invest more in a smaller number of children.
Despite the exact reasons for the mortality and fertility transitions, they are realities
that are occurring and thus it is important to understand the implications for countries.
As already mentioned the mortality transition tends to occur before the fertility
transitions. As a result there is a period in which the country will experience a period
of heightened population growth before fertility begins to decline. This raises the
question what are the effects of heightened

The other in the civil rights movement as represented in literature in harper lee s To
Kill a Mockingbird The world is created out of oppositions, divisions and separations
between the one and the Other. When people collide or meet, in that sense, in the
meeting between different cultural backgrounds they tend to define the others by

In addressing this matter, writers often lean toward using binary oppositions to better

52. Proper Grooming A Dog
Proper dog grooming requires the proper knowledge, preparation, and equipment. It
is extremely important to groom your dog as frequently as is recommended. Proper
grooming is important for dogs for most of the same reasons that it is important for
people. When your dog is clean and trimmed it feels happy, satisfied, and self
confident. Besides that, proper grooming will keep your doghealthy. Dirty dogs will
tend to become infested with harmful, parasitic insects like fleas and ticks. Your dog
will be less healthy and happy if you fail grooming at the proper frequency.
Proper knowledge of dog grooming entails your understanding of your particular
breed of dog and the grooming protocol required. There are different procedures that
must be followed if the dog has short hair as opposed to long hair. There are different
requirements depending on the age of your animal. And of course each breed ... Show

Of course there is a big difference between dogs that spend their time outdoors and
dogs that spend their time indoors. Most dogs who are outdoor dogs will need to be
bathed every five days or so. Inside dogs generally require less bathing. Also you will
find that you need to groom your dog with greater frequency as he ages. Older dogs
tend to shed hair faster and smell bad more often. If you are new to dog ownership
and therefore dog grooming as well, don t worry.
It is fairly simple to recognize the frequency with which your dog should be bathed
simply by observing its behavior. If your dog is scratching or appears to be dirty
then it is time to groom your dog. In fact, if your dog is scratching from insect
bites, then you have actually waited too long to groom your dog, but the sooner the
better. If you notice that your dog is scratching every 10 days then you probably
need to groom your dog every

It s going to be difficult because history is one of my least favorite subjects. I have
trouble wanting to learn about the past. Wars are the most difficult. I m going to
have to work to make sure I understand everything. History is challenging because
there is a lot of stuff to remember. It is hard to keep track of all the years that events
took place in. What I hope to gain most from this class, is some understanding
behind the fights of the Indians and the settlers. I would like to learn more about
what went on, and who the bad people really were. Learning about the fights, and
the history behind them, helps us understand that the Indians weren t bad people.
