Essay Of Beauty
Crafting an essay on the elusive and subjective concept of beauty can be an intellectually
challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not just in the need for eloquence and coherence but in
navigating the intricacies of a topic that has puzzled philosophers, artists, and thinkers
throughout the ages.
The concept of beauty is inherently subjective, making it a slippery slope for a writer attempting
to encapsulate its essence within the confines of an essay. One is compelled to grapple with the
diverse perspectives on beauty that span cultural, historical, and personal contexts. The elusive
nature of beauty demands a delicate balance between expressing one's own viewpoint and
acknowledging the multitude of interpretations that exist.
Attempting to define beauty requires a nuanced exploration of aesthetics, cultural influences,
and the evolution of societal standards. The writer must traverse through the realms of art,
nature, and human perception, delving into the complexities that arise when one tries to
encapsulate the essence of beauty in mere words.
Moreover, the challenge extends to maintaining a sense of originality in discussing a topic that
has been pondered upon for centuries. It necessitates a departure from clichГ©s and a deep dive
into personal reflections, making the essay a unique exploration of the author's thoughts on a
topic that has captivated minds throughout history.
In the process, the essayist may find themselves grappling with the limitations of language,
attempting to capture the ineffable and transcendent aspects of beauty. The struggle lies not just
in conveying ideas effectively but in evoking a visceral response, a shared understanding that
beauty, in its many forms, is a tapestry woven from the threads of perception, culture, and
personal experience.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic of beauty is a formidable task that requires
intellectual agility, linguistic finesse, and a willingness to navigate the complexities of a concept
that resists easy definition. It is an exploration that demands both humility and audacity, as the
writer attempts to unravel the enigma of beauty through the written word.

Industrial Engineer Essay
Where would you be without industrial engineers? You probably do not even know
what an Industrial engineer does. When the word engineer comes to mind, people
just assume some guy sitting in an office doing a bunch of complicated equations
day in and day out. Although that is not wrong, it is not true for industrial engineers.
Industrial engineers are solving a new problem everyday in new and innovative
ways. Industrial engineers are not a widely known career, but are a cornerstone to our
workplaces. Industrial engineeringboth weighs into my strengths and minimizes my
weaknesses making it the ideal career for me to pursue. Industrial engineers have
been around far longer then there have been colleges for them to learn the trade. It was

What exactly is an industrial engineer? According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor
Statistics they state that Industrial engineers eliminate wastefulness in production
processes. They devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines,
information, and energy to make a product or provide a service. That description can
vary from engineer to engineer but the general overview fits almost every single
industrial engineer. Their main purpose in almost every case is to eliminate waste in
production. This is done through their development of systems that is why they are
sometimes referred to as industrial and systems engineers. Industrial engineers,
eliminate the overall waste in their company s production processes through always
changing methods. When an industrial engineer is trying to locate the issue with
some production scheme he might first look over a workplaces production schedule
or maybe just the overall flow of a process. Sometimes the engineers develop their
employers savings through simple changes in an assembly line by simply adjusting
the layout of the machines in their assembly line to eliminate wasted energy.
Engineers can also develop saving through much more complex and modern methods
by developing a new computer system in which the machines synchronize their
output times so that they all are feeding into each other with no time wasted. That is
the beauty of an industrial engineers work they are
Colonial City
Colonial city and industrial life was very important to the American Colonies in
the 17th and 18th century. Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Charleston, as key
trading centers, were very busy before, during and after the war. These were a
major part of the colonies. Boston was one of the largest port cities. Boston had
two busy coffee houses in addition to northern and southern mail posts. At the
bottom of its piers, docks were 1800 to 2000 feet long which allowed them to bring
in bigger ships. Boston was also one of the most fortified port cities in North
America.(NHC) Another very large and important city was New York. New York

To get the iron to the furnaces, it was shipped 50 miles, by boat, from the mines.
The cost to work the furnaces was about 120 slaves a furnace (Colonial Livings). In
the beginning, iron was produced in Bloomery forges, a hearth in which iron ore
was combined with charcoal and heated. To fuel these monstrous furnaces to make
iron required many trees for fuel. One acre of trees produced about 30 40 cords of
wood and about 4.5 cords were needed to make one ton of iron. One acre produced
about 6.5 8.5 tons of iron. Steel was also needed in the colonies. To produce small
quantities of steel, used for blades and cutting implements such as saws, wrought iron
was reheated, to a molten state in clay pots with measured amounts of charcoal.(Penn

the year 1957, when the Bhutto became the youngest member of Pakistan s

brought him to national prominence and popularity.
His rise in politics and higher echelons of power was due to his mysteriously sharp
mind coupled with cunning desire to be on the top of the national politics. His astute
political manoeuvrings can be gauged from the fact that on the eve of India China
war in 1962, the rulers of China invited Pakistan to jointly dismember India by
attacking on North East and Laddakh and Pakistan from Jammu side in Jammu and
Kashmir to grab the maximum territory. Pakistan could fulfil their wish by taking
Kashmir and China would grab entire North East to come closure to Indian Ocean.
Bhutto disclosed the plan to General Ayub Khan the President of Pakistan but got
rebuked for such a loathsome and outrageous suggestion, rather was suggested that
Pakistan should have Joint Defence Agreement with India. Bhutto was aghast and
made a sorry exit, calling Ayub Khan a political bankrupt.

The Influence Of Playing Pokemon Go
Participating in the survey were 193 high school and middle school aged students
from a mid sized southeastern school. Forty four percent of the respondents were
male, and 56% were female. Seventy eight percent of the respondents were
between the ages of twelve and fifteen, while 22% of the respondents were
between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. Only about 1 of 10 students (9.8%) said
that when Pokemon Go was popular they played every day. However, roughly 3 in
10 students (31.6%) answered that when it was popular their friends played every
day. The hypothesis stated: Males playvideo games significantly more than females.
As the results demonstrate, there was a significant difference between males and
females with respect to playing Pokemon Go while it was popular ( t= 4.507, p
.05). More specifically, males played Pokemon Go at a much higher rate (M= 2.00)
than females (M=1.38). Although the results were not as strong, there was also a
large difference between males and females with respect to perception of their
friends playing (t=2.627, p=.009). The results of this question show that males
believe their peers play much more (M= 2.77) than females (M= 2.31).

North Korea And Nuclear Bombs
North Korea and Nuclear Bombs
Many people are at risk due to North Korea s nuclear threats. The allies of the United
States and the security of the country are as well. North Korea threatens the United
States with nuclear weapons, therefore we must reach out to the allies of the US to
help pressure North Korea and use the existing laws to the full extent against North
Korea s forbidden activities.
In order to put a stop to North Korea s nuclear weapons problem, we must travel
back in time to World War II to where this bitter rivalry started. World War II has
Korea broken into two at the 38th parallel. North Korea became a Communist and
South Korea became American occupied. It s just so happens that one day the North

During Kim Jong IL S reign, the government in North Korea was very unorganized
and poor. In 1994, the year Kim inherited North Korea s reins from his late father,
the country was in the midst of a severe agricultural decline. The newly minted
despot transformed it into a famine that would claim as many as three million
lives. Food shortages have plagued the country ever since (Weissmann). Since the
death of Kim Jong IL, Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, agreed to stop the
nuclear tests and freeze the nuclear program in return would be food aid from the
United States on February 29, 2012. This agreement included uranium enrichment
and long range missile tests ( North Korea | Countries | NTI ). In April 2012, North
Korea and the United States got into an argument over the launch of a rocket.
North Korea then decided that their past agreement of freezing the nuclear
program was now ineffective and conducted a nuclear test anyway in February
2013. On February 6 Pyongyang announced that all of its nuclear facilities would
be restarted at Yongbyon. The United States knows this is not just North Korea
bluffing. Satellite imagery has confirmed that the 5MW graphite moderated reactor

precursors and agents are produced and stored. As well as 6 major storage depots

North Korea never officially stopped the nuclear program (Mark Toner). Since then,

Inner Cities And Its Impact On Society Essay
America has had an extensive relationship with her inner cities. Inner cities were and
are the backbone to America and her achievements. The cities assisted in the mass
production of the automobile industry, the destruction of the tyranny known as the
Nazi Empire, and are the center piece for businesses today. The inner cities had a
reduction in employment during the 2008 financial crisis, leaving the cities and their
inhabitants in shambles. This not only affected jobs and parents, but the children as
well. This was unfortunate because the cities that built America were now spilt into
two parts. One part became an area of bustling traffic and lively people, the other
underprivileged individuals with no source of income due to financial collapse of
their places of employment. Inner citychildren face an abundant number of obstacles
in their lives being raised in these low income areas. These areas have become poverty
stricken and are being ignored by the government. Without assistance, whether from
the state or the federal level of government, certain factors of their lives are being
neglected. Some of the factors that are detrimental to the children are the inadequate
educational programs, lack of attendance at school, and parent involvement, lack of
availability of nutritional produce and a higher rate of exposure to crime.
The children in inner cities are demonstrating issues with attendance this is
detrimental to success because missing days directly impacts
The Importance of Religion in Aztec and Incas Cultures
Essay
INTRODUCTION
Religion played a very important role in the Aztec and Inca culture. Religious rituals
consisted of human sacrifice and polytheism. Their deities were inspired by nature
and the earth s physical makeup. Both appear to be similar but peel back the onion
and notable differences reveal themselves. It is difficult for modern day society to
understand how human sacrifice can exist in such advanced civilizations.
THE INCAS (CHILDREN OF THE SUN)
The Incas Empire began around 1200 and lasted until the Spanish arrival in 1532.
They were the largest civilization in pre Columbia with a territory of 380,000 square

the following way: The provinces of Collasuyo, Chinchaysuyo, Antisuyo, and
Cuntisuyo would bring to this city, from each town and lineage of people, one or
two small boys or girls, of ten years old. They would also bring clothes and
livestock, as well as sheep [made] of gold, silver, and mullu. These were kept in
Cuzco for the reasons that will be told. After all this was assembled, the Inca would

and other sacrifices walked around the statues of the Creator, Sun, Thunder, and
Moon that were already in the plaza for this purpose. They made two turns around
them, and after finishing, the Inca summoned the provincial priests and had the
offerings divided into four parts for the four suyos: Collasuyo, Chinchaysuyo,
Antisuyo, and Cuntisuyo, which are the four regions into which this land is divided.
And he would tell them, Each of you take your share of these offerings and
sacrifices, take it to your principal huaca, and sacrifice them there.
The huaca was the sacred shrine or god and they were all about the Inca Empire.

It is a well known fact that the government makes laws that benefit it, and
sometimes to the detriment of the average citizen. Take, for example, the tax laws.
You would be hard pressed to find a taxpayer who believes that paying taxes is fair.
In fact most people would complain that they pay taxes all year by having an
amount held out from their check, only to owe additional monies every April 15.
This form of governmental taking is probably the most popular, but there are other
actions that result in a private citizen losing their property to a governmental agency.
However not every instance of a taking leaves the average citizen without a remedy,

The Relationship Between Riverdale And Gilgamesh
Death and grief are common themes in literature and entertainment as a result of
their presence throughout history. These themes create a tie between the most
ancient texts and modern pop culture. An example of this is Gilgamesh and
Riverdale. In the ancient Sumerian narrative, Gilgamesh by Herbert Mason,
Gilgamesh, a ruthless king deals with the death of his newfound friend, Enkidu.
Before, Gilgamesh did not care for his people. He forced brides to sleep with him,
and did not take care of the great walls his subjects took so long to make. On the
other hand, Enkidu grew up in the forest with the animals, and learned to protect and
respect all beings. Both maintained their strength and friendship until Enkidu reached
his disastrous fate. In the modern TV show, Riverdale by Rob Seidenglanz, Cheryl
Blossomgrieves for her twin brother, Jason. The two were inseparable from birth,
and their entire town was aware. Similarly to Gilgamesh, Cheryl was unsympathetic
and disliked by her peers. Jason, like Enkidu, was more responsible and
compassionate. In both Gilgamesh and Riverdale, characters learn to cope with the
loss of a meaningful person in their life and ultimately experience change as a result.
The friendship between Gilgamesh and Enkidu, as well as the attachment between
Cheryl Blossom and her brother, Jason, is what makes their deaths so important.
Gilgamesh and Enkidu s bond first influences their actions on their journey together,
Enkidu was afraid of the forest of

Pablo was a very violent man during his drug run but even with his violence, he still
did many important things to his very poor town that helped the surrounding
community and brought together his hometown of Medellin. Pablo Escobar is a
native of Colombia, he was born in Rionegro, Colombia and his family then moved
to Medellin shortly after his death. While still a kid he grew up very poor, just like
the rest of the area he was born in. From his birth he was just a normal kid living in
a normal family that didn t have the funds to adequately support him. Although he
was very poor his family wanted him to get an education, and so they sent him to
many schools. Although his parents wanted to get him an education he was sent
home from two schools for not having enough money to buy the right shoes and
pay for the funds. Pablo, even while attending grade school people started the
future man that he was soon about to become. Pablo started off with small crimes
with his younger brother Roberto. They started off with small crimes such as
stealing, and doing drugs. A little while later he started stealing gravestones from
local graveyards, grinding them down and then selling them. Although it did not
stop at the gravestones, he started selling fake cigarettes as well as fake lottery
tickets. Soon after his involvement with his brother stealing and selling fake
contraband he soon became acquainted with the local smuggler, Alvaro Prieto.
While making a quick million in his early twenties smuggling drugs he got into an
argument with a local drug lord, bigger than Alvaro and killed him. This led to his
take over of the Medellin gang, his reign of violence , and his smuggling of fifteen
tons of cocaine a day. Pablo Escobar s violence stemmed from his involvement in
the cocaine industry. He had a private so called Army of over 1,000 men that were
hired and trained specifically to protect him and his lucrative drug
Myosin Skeletal Muscle Contraction
Myosin is a conventional term used to reference a group of molecular motors that
translocate actin filaments or translocate vesicles on fixed actin filaments in living
organisms[1]. The human genome also contains 24 unconventional Myosins divided
into 11 distinct classes including some nonmuscle Myosins[2]. This poster will cover
in particular MyosinII which is responsible for skeletal musclecontraction[1]
Myosin II has a molecular weight of 520 kDa contains two heavy chains, each
roughly 2000 amino acids in length[3]. Each of these heavy chains are comprised of
an N terminal head domain and C terminal tails that together take on a coiled coil
morphology holding the two heavy chains together[4]. Apart from the 2 heads and
heavy chains Myosin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Myosin can hydrolyze a single ATP in 30 seconds which is slow when compared to
the 5 10 ATP hydrolyzed every second when combined with Actin
[7]. One Myosin
head binds to one Actin filament to hydrolyze ATP, this occurs due to the polarity
of the Actin molecule[7][Img2]. After completion of the hydrolyzation process and
release of the products the usually weak bond between Myosin and Actin is
strengthened due to the release of Phosphate[6]. This change is referred to as the
Power Stroke as it pulls the Actin filament down the line, ADP is released and the
Myosin head detaches once a new ATP is secured so the process can repeat[1][Img2].
Rigor Mortis is a stiffening of the body caused in part by the lack of aerobic
respiration[8]. In death the body releases Calcium ions which interact with Actin and
Myosin to contract muscles throughout the body[8]. Due to the cessation of
respiration the body is unable to efficiently produce ATP[9]. This causes a shortage
that denies Myosin and Actin the ability to disconnect, Calcium ions are unable to be
pumped back out of the muscle cell so the muscles remain tense and the body

Antonio Tempesta Shroud
I believe that the shroud is not the real burial cloth of Jesus. One reason for this is
because research that a man named Charles Freeman did shows that the cloth looks
very different today than it did in the 17th century. An engraving done in 1613 by
Antonio Tempesta shows that originally, the images found on the shroud were much
more pronounced. Some of the features visible in this engraving, such as the Crown
of Thorns and the loincloth, are no longer visible when one looks at the shroud
today. Another reason for this opinion is that there has been no discovery of
significant evidence that the shroud existed before 1355, which is when it appeared
in a chapel being advertised as Christ s burial shroud. The granddaughter of the

The purpose of this paper is to define research questions (below) relating to
Accounting for the Intel Pentium Chip Flaw (Hawkins, Miller Narayanan, 2009). The
questions are as follows; (A3.1) If you were an accountant for Intel, what specifically
would be the relevant accounting research question with respect to the Intel Pentium

They ignored to claim the default to avoid the financial effect The accounting
constraint of materiality would indicate that this item could be recorded as an
expense (more expedient) since it is not material enough to influence the decision of a
reasonably prudent creditor or investor(Weygand, 2009). Intel is always constrained
by agreements/ contracts with their lenders to pay from retained earnings. Dividend
is usually distributed to the owners in term profits. Intel may be constrained by the
requirements of other obligations of generally accepted accounting principles
(GAAP).
Estimations and Assumptions to the Research Question
Accountants need to estimate the magnitude of the problem. Intel should use the
management function such as planning, controlling and directing the solution toward
the problem. It is a quantities analysis that needs measurement, facts, and common
sense. The accountant always suggests mathematical models based on statistics such
as confident level, mean, variance, and correlation ration R square (Weygandt, 2009).
Intel might consider contingent theory to estimate a certain event of error. It is
probability of occurrence.
The FAS 5; accounting for contingencies is defined as an existing event/situation or
group/set of events involving some kind of uncertainty which may result in a gain or
loss. This will be resolved when future circumstances/event fail to take place/occur.
Resolution may result in loss of an asset (Financial

Hollywood flair, it removes the impact that film had on Spartacus according to

Robert Rosenstone, a professor of California Institute of Technology, has written
many different genres from history, fiction, poetry, etc., has said, historical film has
been making its impact upon us for many years now, and its time that we began to
take it seriously. By this I mean we must begin to look at film, ... (p. 1). According to

Social Media and Music: The Effect of Social Media and the Digital Age on New and
Independent Artists
Traditionally, artists have had to beat down the doors of big name record companies
to get their records heard in the hopes of getting a recording contract. Social media
pervades all aspects of youth culture functioning as a one stop shop for popular
culture. At any time the trending topics on Twitter range from the latest news or a
character from a popular television show.
With the growing popularity of social media, artists are well equipped for success in
a digital age using non traditional methods. Sites like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook,
Spotify and iTunes, make music accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.

The way that artists communicate on social networks like Twitter can reinforce
their brand and the image that artist wants to project. Social media also gives new
and upcoming artists a greater chance of being discovered. YouTube, Twitter,
Bandcamp and Soundcloud are really effective tools for new artists to share their
music and to build a fan base. Justin Bieber s career is a great example of the
influence of social media. Beiber started with a few videos on YouTube and was
noticed by producer Scooter Braun. At the peak of YouTube s popularity, Bieber
posted several videos and before long, had over 10 million views and was signed by
Usher and Island Def Jam. Currently, Justin Bieber is the top trending topic on
Twitter. Bieber still uses Twitter to interact with his fans, announcing appearances
and tour dates.
Artists will get the most out of social networks by taking advantage of the services
they offer and still pursue some routes artists traditionally take. The present state of
the industry promotes competition within the industry because there is so much
music out there and so much of it is available for free. However, the influence of
social media presents a great opportunity for artists to pursue a career in the music
industry, generating their own revenue through tours and digital sales. In this age,
there is a greater incentive for artists to start independent careers because they can
make money by
The Exxon Valdez Oil Spill
Governments should be held responsible for dealing with environmental hazards
resulting from previous resource use and environmental standards that are no longer
acceptable today. Through the instances of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, the Kuwait
Oil Fires, the Hurricane Katrina devastation and the Sydney Tar Ponds, this paper will
develop an argument supporting the idea that governments should be given the
responsibility to handle environmental hazards that result from the prior use of
resources as well as environmental regulations that are no longer up to standard.
Arguments/Examples
I. The Exxon Valdez Oil Spill
To begin, the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill was a man made environmental disaster that
occurred in 1989. On March 24, the Exxon Valdez oil tanker struck Bligh Reef and
spilled 260,000 barrels of crude oil into the waters of Prince William Sound in
Alaska (Piatt, Lensick, Butler, Kendziorek Nysewander, 1990). Eventually, this oil
spread across 30,000 kmВІ of water, damaging ecosystems and marine life along the
way (Piatt, 1990). Evidently, this oil spill is considered to be one of the most
destructive man made environmental disasters in history (Dimdam, 2013).
Initial government response to the disaster proved challenging due to the remote
location of Prince William Sound. As a result, this led to a slow and inadequate
clean up of oil in the Alaskan waters. The oil clean up took approximately four years,
until the clean up efforts were eventually called off by the
The Nature Of The Buddhist s Claim Of Suffering
As a result of asceticism and hedonism being deemed irrational, Buddhism was born,
the middle way between the two. Siddhartha Gautama (later known as the Buddha)
is the rishi (founder) of Buddhism which is built on the doctrine that humans are
forever burdened with suffering or dukkha. The teachings of Buddha serve as a tool
to overcome desire, which is the root of all suffering. In this paper, the nature of the
Buddhist s claim of suffering will be dissected and further examined along with the
idea of the noble eightfold path, otherwise known as the solution to all suffering.
Siddhartha Gautama was born a prince, sheltered from the outside world until he
decided to take matters into his own hands and ventured out into the real world....

To understand the noble eightfold path, one must recognize what the Buddhist claim
of human suffering is all about. In Buddhism there are three marks of existence:
anatman, no self; anicca; impermanence; and lastly dukkha; suffering. With these
marks of existence in mind, it is believed that the misunderstanding of anatman and
anicca lead to dukkha. When an individual does not understand there is no self, it is
essentially detrimental to their life. Impermanence serves a big role in Buddhism;
however, it s a foreign concept to most individuals, hence their suffering. One has to
understand that nothing lasts forever and be at peace with it. When impermanence
is not fully understood desire arises from this plight. In the end, the goal becomes to
terminate desire and to end desire is to end suffering. Moving on to the noble
eightfold path, now that dukkha has been defined, the path is the solution to end all
suffering. This path is not supposed to be an easy task as it takes a lot of effort (the
sixth of the eightfold path). In another aspect of Buddhism, the four noble truths, the
first truth states To live is to suffer. In other words it could be said that the eightfold
path defies what is understood by living. Perfect view, the first on the path, is
accepting the four noble truths and the three marks of existence.
Blizzards In America
Who back East or down South could have conceived of a land where the
temperature could fall eighteen degrees in just three minutes? the author stated.
(Laskin, 39) This actually occurred in the nation s history. It is somewhat expected
to have some days where one has to bring a light jacket for later in the day because
it is predicted to get cooler. Who would have guessed that farmers and school
children could start their days in shirtsleeves, without heavy overcoats, only to
experience wind chills that night that were forty degrees below zero? the author
wrote. (Laskin, 39) The people who had to endure the freakish drop of temperature
and monster of a blizzarddefinitely did not predict any of this could ever happen.

The predictions of forecast back around in that time, at times, could have been
helpful, other times would not. Though the people had forecast predictions, they were
often inaccurate. The forecasters, or indication officers, claimed that their predictions
were accurate 83.7 percent of the time for the following day. The indication officers
were not allowed to say certain things about the predicted forecast, which often
affected the communities negatively not only for this certain occasion but for others,
as well. For example, an officer could not even say the word tornado in any of their
forecast predictions. The coastal cities of the nation thought that they were immune to
the disaster of a hurricane, so forecasters would never mention a such a tragic storm
in the predictions of the forecast. On top of the believed immunity and forbidden
words to be mentioned in forecasts, the method of predictions was not at the best,
either. Instead of relying on the physics of a storm and deeply studying it, indication
officers turned more to geometry and cartography, the science of drawing maps, to
predict where the storm will go. This did not leave the communities vulnerable for
just this blizzard, but for pretty much every storm that swept across the nation, as
Essay on How To Write Using the APA Writing Style
The APA writing style is most commonly used to cite sources for psychology,

The body of an APA paper Come back to. A literature review is a type of APA paper
that summarizes a scientific text about ones topic or question. A literature review
focuses on a specific topic of interest and includes a critical analysis where one
would compare different literature that relates to the subject of one s own work. It
normally includes a title page, introduction section, and a list of references. Many
confuse a literature review with an annotated bibliography, but the difference
between a literature review and an annotated bibliography is that an annotated
bibliography only summarizes briefly about an article that one viewed while an
annotated bibliography focuses specifically on a topic. An experimental report, also
know as lab reports is put shortly, a story of ones research where someone would
guide a reader through their experiment. Though this story, one would have to argue
that their research is both valid and reliable, the meaning of their research, and how it
relates to work that was previously written. An experimental report normally follows
the scientific method and should include these following sections: Title page,
abstract, introduction, method, results, discussion, references, appendixes (if
necessary), and table or figures (if necessary).
Because an APA paper should be as formal and scientific as possible, gender terms
should not be used when they are not necessary. For example, the APA

Analysis Of Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines is a global airline, one of the largest worldwide. According to
SkyTeam (2009), a worldwide alliance management team of ten members, the
founding member Delta serves about 928 destinations in about 174 countries; with
approximately 455 million customers annually and offers 15,955 plus daily

In this paper, we will venture into the globalization of Delta Air Lines and understand
if they are just a global corporation or if they carry a worldly mind set as a strategic
management strategy. Gosling Mintzberg (2003) paraphrase T.S. Eliot s famous
words should we not explore ceasingly in order to return home and know the place

CHAPTER1. INTRODUCTION
Introduction
Time is one of the major factors in learning .In order for learners to achieve success
in any field, they need time to learn ,practice and apply what they have learned to
fulfill goals (Farbman ,A N). Educational institutes in the US nowadays are trying to
improve the quality of the education offered to students, therefor, there is a growing
concern on how to use educational resources effectively such as time in learning.
Previous researches indicated that there is a direct relation between the amount of
time given to instruction and learning. This paper contributes to this growing
literature on the effect of the long time spending in the educational institutes on
students performance and achievement. In order to examine the impact of long
instructional hours on student success and performance an action research project
has been conducted at the ELS center in Murfreesboro. Aim of the Research
The main of this research is to investigate the students perspectives concerning the
long instructional hours in the ELS Center.
The Research Objectives The objectives of the project is to identify the advantages
and the disadvantages of the long working hours in the ELS center as well as offering
suggestions for alternative scheduling to improve the quality of education offered by
the center and might also increase students productivity and performance in the future.

like there was someone watching us. Someone following our every move. I just left
that idea alone. My friends and I went to all the Valentine Stations at school. The
first station was a crafting station, where we made red and pink hearts out of rough
paper. We then had to put a name of our valentine or a special one. But of course, we

The Impact Of Television On The World Of The 20th
Century...
One of the most successful inventions of the 20th Century is the Television. Many
describe Television as a way to connect with the wider world, with some even going
as far as to use the device to escape from everyday life for an hour or two. Now,
thanks to increasing technological developments, this escape can be made
considerably easier with the introduction of mobile TV the use of Smartphones,
tablets, and arguably most prominently, computers and laptops, bringing with it the
expansion of online Televisionservices such as Netflix.
The reason for exceptional developments in Television can be based off of the large
growth in technology, and thus has led to an increased demand from its viewers.
Despite the immense popularity with computer gaming and the Internet, Television
still remains the most popular medium in New Zealand. However, before the likes
of Netflix, there were no online providers. TV consumers outnumbered online
users for years after the initial developments, as content was better on a Television
rather than online due to the lack of variety and services available digitally over
the Internet. Consumers watched Television for the escape from reality for an hour
or two, and this was unavailable on a computer as there were no websites or
Networks offering the content users wanted. A Nielsen study in 2012 on the media
devices owned by people showed that 290 Million Americans (or around 92%)
owned at least one Television, compared to 192 Million Americans that
Upper Class And Lower Class
American Class Perspectives Essay Option 1 The American class system, which is
comprised of: the lower class, middle class, and upper class is divided up by power
and the ability to control situations around us. With slavery abolished and racism
on the decline, there still remains a link between the predominate race in the upper
class and lower class of America. The upper class is comprised of mostly
privileged white Americans and the lower class is comprised of predominantly
minority s. The hierarchy of this wealth distribution must break down in order to
reassemble in a fashion that benefits all members of all classes in this country. One
key factor that is often attributed to success is education; therefore, educating all
members of society to a similar baseline could right the offset that the lower class
and upper privileged class currently have. Marginalized Society Part of the issue
that modern society has with power distribution is the desire to marginalize those
who strive to take it away. Confining the boundaries of power distribution fractures
the possibility upward mobility and creates large walls rather than lines that can be
crossed from one class to another (Fiske Rusciano, 2013). Herein lies the prejudice
and discrimination; consequently, if a small Mom and Pop shop has a successful
business, any children of the couple would likely have a greater opportunity to take
over as a family member rather than a more qualified outsider. The discrimination
may seem
How Does Don Giovanni Contribute To The Enlightenment
Don Giovanni is a one of a kind character, yet so predictable living a certain lifestyle,
almost to the point of being mysterious. It is the enlightenment era however, where a
lot of impossibilities were being explored, and presented to the public in different
forms, including this opera, Don Giovanni. Although Don Giovanniseems like a total
embodiment of immorality, he nevertheless carries some admirable principles,
sparkling the enlightenment idea through the story of Don Giovanni.
As we all know, the Enlightenment is known as the era of reasoning. Many had
started to realize the power of rational and logical thinking. Don Giovanni is a
great example for this type of thinking. Although more probably accuse him rather
than praise him of seducing so many women, Giovanni has his own reasoning to it.
(How can it be fair if I just marry one woman) ? This is in fact capable of bearing
careful thoughts. It would not be fair for Giovanni to stay with one single woman, for
thus not only would it be unfair to all the other women, but Giovanni would ... Show

Resource Oriented Architecture
Resource Oriented Architecture (ROA) is the structural design supporting the
internetworking of resources. A resource in this context is any entity that can be
identified and assigned a uniform resource identifier ( URI) (whatis.techtarget.com).
Per Dr. Roy Fielding, Resource oriented software is known as an architectural style
that exploits the existing technology and protocols of the web, including HTTP and
XML. There are four concepts that are most essential for ROA s which are:
Resources
Names (URIs)
What they represent
Links between each
And there are also four properties;
Addressability
Uniform Interface
Statelessness
Connectedness (whatis.techtarget.com).
With ROA s it is very important to first determine what should be considered as a
Resource, this is what really distinguishes the difference between the SOA s and
the ROA s, once this has been done the next thing would be to determine the
resource types and how to invoke methods and also how to correspond to the
responses. The resources will be accessed through the HTTP interface. Because the
Resource Oriented Architectures are still in its beginning stages, in my opinion, I
don t believe it would be the best choice between itself and a Service Oriented

making him one of the most frequently written about poets of the English language.
William Blake has become, in a sense, an institution.

In his essay Blake: Sex, Society, and Ideology, David Aers follows Fox s thread
that Blake s attitude toward the Female shifts, but explains that the case is far more
complicated than a matter of authorial incoherence or change of mind (33). Aers
offers a psychologically based exploration of Blake s treatment of the Female and
the conventional views of women in the society of which he was a part and
concludes that Blake could not escape the popular male supremacist tradition. In
opposition to this approach, Mary Lynn Johnson, in her essay
Feminist Approaches to Teaching argues that in a century when no one . . . fully
escaped the fourfold grip of father, priest, king, and God, Blake stands out as one of
the few writers who understood the pervasiveness of this patriarchal power alignment
and resisted its influence (58). Another critic who discusses the shift in Blake s
treatment of the Female is Brenda Webster, whose article Blake, Women, and
Sexuality considers Blake s shift in his treatment of the Female a result of his
increasingly negative attitude toward sexuality
(209). Webster explores Blake s fear of the Female Will, and how it affects his images
of women.
Dealing with the subject of the shift in the treatment of the Female, yet from a
different angle, in his article William Blake s
The Naked Citadel Summary
Altering Women The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be
denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex (US
Constitution 19th Amendment). These were the few words that thousands of women
fought for. From the beginning of mankind women have been treated unequally from
men. Women have had to fight to win the same rights as the men who were born
with them. As women progressed gaining equal rights as men, society also became
more advanced changing its guidelines of how women should act. Leslie Bell in her
story, Selections from Hard to Get: Twenty Something Women and the Paradox of
Sexual Freedom, discusses how women nowadays have to adhere and alter their
personalities to meet society s new norms. Often women who try to change
themselves experience splitting . Bell gives examples of women, her patients, who
have dealt with splitting and talks about how they changed themselves to fit into
society. Some ideas from Bell s story can be related to Susan Faludis story, The
Naked Citadel. The Citadel is an all boys military school, but this all changes when
Shannon Faulkner, a girl, is allowed to attend it. Since no other girl has attended The
Citadel, Shannon does not know how to adjust and act in the new atmosphere.
Women, like Bell s patients and Shannon, have tried to changed themselves to fit into
the new society. These women did not want to be outcasts, so they had to adjust to
the new world. Men have had it easier

Stereotypes In Remember The Titans
Remember the Titans is a movie based on a true story that tells a tale about the
challenges a high school football team faces when the school board is forced to
integrate a black school with a white one. As football is very significant and well
respected sport in Virginia, the Titans have to overcome their differences in order to
win the state championship. There are many societal issues present in the movie but
the most prominent one is racism. When the team members are forced to get to know
each other during the football camp the first thing Gerry Bertier assumes about Julius
is that black boys do not know their fathers and have multiple siblings, this
assumption was in fact not true. Such stereotypes deepened the gap between the two
races... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tension occurs because of the integration of the black culture into the white
community and adaption has to take place in order to defuse some of this tension.
This is evident when the boys are at the football camp and Coach Boone forces the
boys to live and interact with each. As a result of the orders, the boys try to talk to
one another and learn about each others lives to relive some of the awkwardness.
Soon, they adapted to each others cultures and become not only a strong team but a
family. In hindsight, it can be said that the whole movie is a representation of this
theory as at first the white community discriminated heavily against the blacks, but
towards the end realized that they are all the same and gave the black players the
respect they deserved. The friends and families of the white players started to value
their friendship of the black boys and actually want to get to know

State Farm Risk Register
State Farm has chosen to further to its already existing operations in Canada, with the
result of capturing millions of new customers. These customers will require both
brick and mortar and telephonic support. Brick and mortar locations number in the
thousands and continue to grow. With the acquisition of a greater number of
customers, these locations will be able to absorb and support a respectable number of
these new customers. Yet internal analyses indicate that the younger customer base,
that is, customers in their 20s and 30s, prefer virtual or telephonic interactions and
will actively shun brick and mortar locations. It is these ... Show more content on

If this event were to occur, State Farm would suffer extreme exposure, as every
customer would be somehow affected by such an event and would demand
recompense, understandably so. Government collapse would also affect call center
and brick and mortar operations in the country, leaving customers without recourse to
file their claims.
This risk is an obvious threat and, certainly, poses a very high risk. Fortunately, the
likelihood of such an event happening is very low, since Canada s society has no
history of collapse and is governmentally well managed.
Still, in the event of such an event s occurrence, State Farm must have a mitigation
strategy in place. The primary focus of this strategy is to remain connected to the
Canadian government, possibly through lobbying efforts. Doing so could provide the
company notice of impending government issues. State Farm can also bolster its
American division through premium increases and the institution of greater policy
limitations to bolster coffers to support meeting this Canadian risk.
Due to the likelihood of this event, annual monitoring would only be required.
Clearance for Call Center Construction
State Farm must receive the appropriate clearance from Canadian authorities to
complete the construction of the call center. Building codes are mandated by the
local and national authorities to verify undue pejorative influence on
Quantitative And Qualitative Research Methodology
Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methodology Comparison
Research, as defined by Merriam Webster, is the activity of getting information about
a subject (Research, n.d.). When looking at the research process there are two main
approaches for gathering information; qualitative and quantitative approaches. The
qualitative approach focuses on describing information in a deep thought provoking
manner. Adversely, the quantitative approach focuses on information from a larger
number of people and applies statistical techniques to recognize patterns in the data (
Organizing, n.d.). In the educational setting, principals are the leaders of the school.
Principals need to develop teachers, create a safe and productive work environment,
and try to impact student achievement. Great principals search for new and inventive
ways to make their school thrive. Research provides principals opportunities to better
understand problems and changes in the school setting. Using research based data,
principals can help promote student and teacher success in the educational setting.
Qualitative and Quantitative Research methods The article Involving Young People in
Changing Their School Environment to Make It Safer draws upon qualitative research
to explore the process of involving teachers and students in student action groups. The
article draws on the qualitative process by using semi structured interviews with a
small sample of students and staff members (Fletcher, Fitzgerald Yau,

Digital Signal Processing
With the advent of digitization in every field from communication to media, the
need for methods to process digital signals is more important than ever. Now that I
am on the threshold of embarking on a career that will encompass a major part of
my adult life, I think it is natural that I veer towards Signal processing. As I look back,
I feel that my natural inclination and excellence in mathematics from childhood has
led me along this path. Digital Signal processingincorporates the use of mathematics
to manipulate an information signal to modify or improve it in some way, fitting
naturally into my area of strength and interest.
I graduated from high school with 97% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths as a result
of which I was admitted in SSN, ranked amongst the top engineering colleges in
India. During my undergraduate study in Electronics and Communications
Engineering I developed a liking for subjects like Digital Communication, Digital
Image Processing, Digital Signal Processing.etc which provided me with a
fundamental knowledge about digital signals and a thirst to explore more.
My actual venture into DSP, started during fifth semester holidays when I attend a
course on DSP Applications conducted by IIT Madras and Analog Devices. This
gave me a great opportunity to work with several professors in IIT on projects like
Noise Cancellation, Image Restoration using Kalman filter.etc. Intrigued by this
experience, I devoted more time towards studying various fields in
Emily Dickinson Influences
In the mid nineteenth century, many new poets were writing and publishing their
works. Poets were influenced when Romanticism was the trend of the day in
America. Emily Dickinson differed, her poetry was heavily influenced by the
Metaphysical poets of the seventeenth century England. Dickinson suffered from
depression. Her poems not only reflected her feelings, but everyday subjects such as
her dreams. Dickinson draws large amount of inspiration from aspects of her life such
as the people she met.
Dickinson was born on December 10, 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts. The people
that were part of her life were an enormous impact on her poetry. Her parents were
Edward Dickinson and Emily Norcross. Her mother suffered a long term illness and
needed constant care from her daughters. Dickinson s father attended Yale College
until Junior year, which he went to Amherst College. Edward became Amherst s
chief citizen and a successful lawyer, this gave his children the opportunity to meet
many prominent visitors. Dickinson s older brother was William Austin and she
also had a younger amicable sister named Lavinia Norcross, she was her longtime
companion and advocate of her work after her death, ( Dickinson, Emily ). Leonard
Humphrey, her principal at Amherst Academy, was a mentor and a friend to
Dickinson. Humphrey influenced her poetry. When Humphrey died, Dickinson was
twenty years old. Humphrey s death furthered Dickinson s depression; ...the hour of

Essay On Failure Of The 1956 Constitution
Failure of Parliamentary System under 1956 Constitution
The Constitution of 1956 proved to be very short lived as on October 7, 1958,
Marital Law was imposed on the country and the constitution was abrogated.
Lack of Leadership played a huge role in the failure of the constitution of 1956 and
because of this, Pakistan never found its way to development of its parliamentary
system.
There was lack of political training in the country as well. Many political parties
were made without any specific political goal. Every political party was fighting
against one another and tried to gain power. No one was interested in elections. So,
under such circumstances, elections were delayed.
Unicameral legislature was intoduced in the 1956 Constitution. Through this many
problems for Pakistan were caused and as a result martial law was imposed in country.

Benefits Of Genetically Modified Organisms
When we hear the phrase genetically modified organisms, we may automatically
picture scientists in white lab coats, with gloves, and testing equipment. All of them
working diligently in a brightly lit room with a cold, hospital like feel. What if I told
you that humans have been modifying organisms since developed agriculturecame
into existence? An example of this is corn. It grows naturally in North America.
However, if you take a trip to any western European countryside and you will find
fields upon fields of corn. Humans have modified corn to be able to grow in Europe.
They modified it without scientist and without high tech equipment. Not only have
humans been cultivating genetically modified organisms for years, they are also not
as dangerous as society makes them out to be. In fact, there are many benefits to
GMOs including vaccines that do not require refrigeration, mosquitos that do not
carry malaria, and various economic benefits.
Before you can judge something you have to understand it for everything it is. This
fact applies to GMOs as well. GMOs in the sense that the media knows it by is as
Jeffrey Smith states a product of a laboratory process where genes from the DNA of
one species are extracted and artificially forced into the genes of an unrelated plant or
animal. The foreign genes may come from bacteria, viruses, insects, animals or even
human. The simple more general definition is organisms whose genetic

Analyzing Political Corruption and its Effects on the Mexican Economy

Macroeconomics
Warren Smith
4th of April 2014 Abstract For macroeconomics, we were given an assignment to
examine and analyze the causes of the business cycle in foreign economies. We were
divided into groups of 6 and were given the instructions to randomly select a
continent. Our continent was North America. We had to choose between Canada and
Mexico. The reason why we decided to choose Mexico is because of its economy
trade with the US, their migration flow, the interesting influence on oil prices
worldwide and the impact that the drug cartels have on Mexican politicians. Mexico
is known for being one of the world s most corrupt nations but somehow they still
manage to have one of the best industrializing economies in Latin America. The
causes for a country s business cycle can be either endogenous or exogenous.
Throughout this paper, the internal problem of political corruption will be analyzed
and discussed in order to determine Mexico s economic stage.
Introduction Between 175 countries, Mexico is ranked as the 103rd most corrupt
nation worldwide. Corruption has become the cancer of Mexico. Organized crimes
and corruption are linked with each other and cannot operate without one another.
There are witnesses who have seen state police pick up cocaine shipments and
delivering them personally to the cartels. This linkage between cartels and the
Scout Reflection
On Saturday, the 28th of October, I presented Earth Rocks to Cub Scouts who
were earning their Merit Badge. As I now reflect on the two sessions I taught that
day, I wonder if I could have ever been truly prepared for them. I believed I had
everything lined out and timed to take us right up to the time their session was
over. However, that was not the case because the scouts knew a considerable
amount more about the subject than I realized. I feel honored to have been able to
work with such intelligent groups of scouts. During the first session, I quickly
realized that these Cub Scouts knew an impressive amount about the information I
was presenting, so I forced myself to change how I was presenting the material. I
engaged the scouts into the material by asking each one tons of questions about
what they already knew. Then I made sure they stayed busy with hands on activities
that really engrossed them into the material. I believe that when I had to change my
lesson plans on the spot, I did decently well. I was able to bettergrab the scouts
attention and help them learn more information than before they walked into the
session. One of the most challenging ideas I tried to teach to the scouts would have
to be about geographical surroundings and the geographical materials that make up
the buildings. I feel as if I did not know enough about the subject matter, or how to
present it correctly in a way that was truly benefiting the scouts. However, the scout
leaders were
Essay on Aboriginal People in the Canadian Military
Throughout history, Aboriginals have been misunderstood and mistreated, despite
their contributions to the country. There were many native men who gave their lives
during the first World War and numerous native communities that did anything they
could to help the war effort in Canada. Aboriginals contributed in many ways to serve
their country during World War I.
At the beginning of World War I, the Canadian government was hesitant about
Aboriginals in the military. When the war broke in 1914, recruitment of Status
Indians was prohibited, as they were often connected to torture and scalping. Some
natives enlisted in face of the law, thanks to a commitment to their land. It wasn t

Impressively, 100% of adult Aboriginal men from the Mi kmaq reserve in Sydney,
Nova Scotia volunteered. The province of Ontario saw some of the highest native
enlistment numbers. Areas around Brantford (Six Nations) and Tyendinaga
(Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) became the highest sources of Indian enlistment in
Canada (Lackenbauer, Moses, Scheffield and Gohier 123). Even with large quantities
of Aboriginal soldiers, there were no exclusively Aboriginal battalions. Several
battalions, nonetheless, consisted of great numbers of natives, including the 114th
Battalion, also known as Brock s Rangers and the 107th Battalion, also known as the
Timber Wolf Battalion. During the First World War, the voluntary service from
Aboriginal men was significantly larger than expected.
Aboriginals made very good snipers and scouts thanks to their hunting skills.
Stereotypically, native men have good eyes, patience and a sharp shot. When
combined with military level training, Aboriginals make exceptional snipers.
Francis Pegahmegabow, one of the most acclaimed snipers in the Great War, is
credited with 378 kills. He was also awarded the Military Medal and two bars for
his service. Another distinguished sniper was MГ©tis Henry Norwest. He was
credited with 115 kills and the Military Medal. Furthermore, at least 37 Aboriginal
men were honoured for bravery in the first world war.

Trichotillomania Essay
Trichotillomania is a psychological disorder, resulting in an individual having an
overwhelming urge to pull their hair out. The individual may either intentional pull
the hair out or it may be the result of unconscious behavior. Hair is pulled from the
scalp, eyebrows, arms, legs, pubic area and/or any other area on the body where there
is hair.
The method for pulling hair out, is typically done with the fingers, however, some
individuals will use items such as tweezers, for removing the hair. The crown area of
the scalp, is the primary area where individuals with trichotillomania begin pulling
hair from. Over an extended period of time they will develop large bald spots on
their head. In attempt to avoid additional bald spots, they ... Show more content on

The individual with trichotillomania will often display an increase in tension or
stress, immediately prior to pulling hair. They will also have a display of
gratification or pleasure as well as relief during and after pulling out the hair.
Psychological Effects
There is often a tremendous amount of shame and/or guilt associated with the
symptoms, as well as the after effects (the baldness), of this diagnosis that it is often
unreported. The low percentage of reports also result in lack of treatment. These
individuals tend to perform their hair pulling behaviors in private. The majority of
these individuals feel as though they are the only ones with this problem. They will
often wear hats, scarves and wigs, or style their hair in a fashion that will not bring
attention to the loss of hair.
A decrease in social interactions often occurs, due to the embarrassment the
individual feels from the noticeable hair loss. It is not uncommon for individuals
with this diagnosis to become depressed, anxious and/or develop low self esteem.
Though the individual may not have previously been diagnosed with a mental illness,
the effects of the trichotillomania will often lead to them seeking help for the
depression and/or anxiety.

Essay Of Beauty.pdf

  • 1. Essay Of Beauty Crafting an essay on the elusive and subjective concept of beauty can be an intellectually challenging endeavor. The difficulty lies not just in the need for eloquence and coherence but in navigating the intricacies of a topic that has puzzled philosophers, artists, and thinkers throughout the ages. The concept of beauty is inherently subjective, making it a slippery slope for a writer attempting to encapsulate its essence within the confines of an essay. One is compelled to grapple with the diverse perspectives on beauty that span cultural, historical, and personal contexts. The elusive nature of beauty demands a delicate balance between expressing one's own viewpoint and acknowledging the multitude of interpretations that exist. Attempting to define beauty requires a nuanced exploration of aesthetics, cultural influences, and the evolution of societal standards. The writer must traverse through the realms of art, nature, and human perception, delving into the complexities that arise when one tries to encapsulate the essence of beauty in mere words. Moreover, the challenge extends to maintaining a sense of originality in discussing a topic that has been pondered upon for centuries. It necessitates a departure from clichГ©s and a deep dive into personal reflections, making the essay a unique exploration of the author's thoughts on a topic that has captivated minds throughout history. In the process, the essayist may find themselves grappling with the limitations of language, attempting to capture the ineffable and transcendent aspects of beauty. The struggle lies not just in conveying ideas effectively but in evoking a visceral response, a shared understanding that beauty, in its many forms, is a tapestry woven from the threads of perception, culture, and personal experience. In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic of beauty is a formidable task that requires intellectual agility, linguistic finesse, and a willingness to navigate the complexities of a concept that resists easy definition. It is an exploration that demands both humility and audacity, as the writer attempts to unravel the enigma of beauty through the written word. For those seeking assistance with such intricate explorations, it's worth noting that similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net. Essay Of Beauty Essay Of Beauty

Industrial engineers are not a widely known career, but are a cornerstone to our workplaces. That description can vary from engineer to engineer but the general overview fits almost every single industrial engineer. Their main purpose in almost every case is to eliminate waste in production. This is done through their development of systems that is why they are sometimes referred to as industrial and systems engineers. Industrial engineers, eliminate the overall waste in their company s production processes through always changing methods. When an industrial engineer is trying to locate the issue with some production scheme he might first look over a workplaces production schedule or maybe just the overall flow of a process. Sometimes the engineers develop their employers savings through simple changes in an assembly line by simply adjusting the layout of the machines in their assembly line to eliminate wasted energy. Engineers can also develop saving through much more complex and modern methods by developing a new computer system in which the machines synchronize their output times so that they all are feeding into each other with no time wasted. That is the beauty of an industrial engineers work they are

Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Charleston, as key trading centers, were very busy before, during and after the war. These were a major part of the colonies. Boston was one of the largest port cities. Boston had two busy coffee houses in addition to northern and southern mail posts. At the bottom of its piers, docks were 1800 to 2000 feet long which allowed them to bring in bigger ships. Boston was also one of the most fortified port cities in North America.(NHC) Another very large and important city was New York. To get the iron to the furnaces, it was shipped 50 miles, by boat, from the mines. The cost to work the furnaces was about 120 slaves a furnace (Colonial Livings). In the beginning, iron was produced in Bloomery forges, a hearth in which iron ore was combined with charcoal and heated. To fuel these monstrous furnaces to make iron required many trees for fuel. One acre of trees produced about 30 40 cords of wood and about 4.5 cords were needed to make one ton of iron. One acre produced about 6.5 8.5 tons of iron. Steel was also needed in the colonies. • 4. South East And Laddakh And Pakistan In 1943, he got married with Shareen Amin Begum, who was left by Bhutto to remarry again. Bhutto married again an Iranian Kurdish woman named Begum Nusrat Ispahani in Karachi on 8th Sept., 1951. His political career mainly started in the year 1957, when the Bhutto became the youngest member of Pakistan s delegation to UN. In the year 1958, he became the youngest PakistanCabinet Minister under President Ayub Khan. He was famous for his demagogic styles of speech, which brought him to national prominence and popularity. His rise in politics and higher echelons of power was due to his mysteriously sharp mind coupled with cunning desire to be on the top of the national politics. His astute political manoeuvrings can be gauged from the fact that on the eve of India China war in 1962, the rulers of China invited Pakistan to jointly dismember India by attacking on North East and Laddakh and Pakistan from Jammu side in Jammu and Kashmir to grab the maximum territory. Pakistan could fulfil their wish by taking Kashmir and China would grab entire North East to come closure to Indian Ocean. Bhutto disclosed the plan to General Ayub Khan the President of Pakistan but got rebuked for such a loathsome and outrageous suggestion, rather was suggested that Pakistan should have Joint Defence Agreement with India. Bhutto was aghast and made a sorry exit, calling Ayub Khan a political bankrupt. Again Bhutto in 1965 after India Pakistan war when learned about India enriching Uranium for

Forty four percent of the respondents were male, and 56% were female. Seventy eight percent of the respondents were between the ages of twelve and fifteen, while 22% of the respondents were between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. Only about 1 of 10 students (9.8%) said that when Pokemon Go was popular they played every day. However, roughly 3 in 10 students (31.6%) answered that when it was popular their friends played every day. The hypothesis stated: Males playvideo games significantly more than females. The allies of the United States and the security of the country are as well. North Korea threatens the United States with nuclear weapons, therefore we must reach out to the allies of the US to help pressure North Korea and use the existing laws to the full extent against North Korea s forbidden activities. In order to put a stop to North Korea s nuclear weapons problem, we must travel back in time to World War II to where this bitter rivalry started. World War II has Korea broken into two at the 38th parallel. North Korea became a Communist and South Korea became American occupied. During Kim Jong IL S reign, the government in North Korea was very unorganized and poor. In 1994, the year Kim inherited North Korea s reins from his late father, the country was in the midst of a severe agricultural decline. The newly minted despot transformed it into a famine that would claim as many as three million lives. Food shortages have plagued the country ever since (Weissmann). Since the death of Kim Jong IL, Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, agreed to stop the nuclear tests and freeze the nuclear program in return would be food aid from the United States on February 29, 2012. This agreement included uranium enrichment and long range missile tests ( North Korea | Countries | NTI ). In April 2012, North Korea and the United States got into an argument over the launch of a rocket. North Korea then decided that their past agreement of freezing the nuclear program was now ineffective and conducted a nuclear test anyway in February 2013. On February 6 Pyongyang announced that all of its nuclear facilities would be restarted at Yongbyon. The United States knows this is not just North Korea bluffing. Satellite imagery has confirmed that the 5MW graphite moderated reactor and the uranium enrichment plant has been put into work ( North Korea | Countries | NTI ). Not just the United States, but Japan, China, and everyone around North Korea must be on high alert. Reports indicate that the Democratic People s Republic of North Korea has about 12 facilities where raw chemicals, precursors and agents are produced and stored. As well as 6 major storage depots for chemical weapons ( North Korea | Countries | NTI ). It has come to light that North Korea never officially stopped the nuclear program (Mark Toner). Since then, North Korea has been performing multiple nuclear
  • 7. Inner Cities And Its Impact On Society Essay America has had an extensive relationship with her inner cities. Inner cities were and are the backbone to America and her achievements. The cities assisted in the mass production of the automobile industry, the destruction of the tyranny known as the Nazi Empire, and are the center piece for businesses today. The inner cities had a reduction in employment during the 2008 financial crisis, leaving the cities and their inhabitants in shambles. This not only affected jobs and parents, but the children as well. This was unfortunate because the cities that built America were now spilt into two parts. One part became an area of bustling traffic and lively people, the other underprivileged individuals with no source of income due to financial collapse of their places of employment. Inner citychildren face an abundant number of obstacles in their lives being raised in these low income areas. These areas have become poverty stricken and are being ignored by the government. Without assistance, whether from the state or the federal level of government, certain factors of their lives are being neglected. Some of the factors that are detrimental to the children are the inadequate educational programs, lack of attendance at school, and parent involvement, lack of availability of nutritional produce and a higher rate of exposure to crime. The children in inner cities are demonstrating issues with attendance this is detrimental to success because missing days directly impacts
  • 8. The Importance of Religion in Aztec and Incas Cultures Essay INTRODUCTION Religion played a very important role in the Aztec and Inca culture. Religious rituals consisted of human sacrifice and polytheism. Their deities were inspired by nature and the earth s physical makeup. Both appear to be similar but peel back the onion and notable differences reveal themselves. It is difficult for modern day society to understand how human sacrifice can exist in such advanced civilizations. THE INCAS (CHILDREN OF THE SUN) The Incas Empire began around 1200 and lasted until the Spanish arrival in 1532. They were the largest civilization in pre Columbia with a territory of 380,000 square miles and a population of about 7 million. They would also bring clothes and livestock, as well as sheep [made] of gold, silver, and mullu. These were kept in Cuzco for the reasons that will be told. After all this was assembled, the Inca would sit in the plaza of Haucaypata, which is the large plaza of Cuzco. There the children and other sacrifices walked around the statues of the Creator, Sun, Thunder, and Moon that were already in the plaza for this purpose. They made two turns around them, and after finishing, the Inca summoned the provincial priests and had the offerings divided into four parts for the four suyos: Collasuyo, Chinchaysuyo, Antisuyo, and Cuntisuyo, which are the four regions into which this land is divided. And he would tell them, Each of you take your share of these offerings and sacrifices, take it to your principal huaca, and sacrifice them there. The huaca was the sacred shrine or god and they were all about the Inca Empire. The children were chosen by the emperor about one year prior to the Capacocha

You would be hard pressed to find a taxpayer who believes that paying taxes is fair. In fact most people would complain that they pay taxes all year by having an amount held out from their check, only to owe additional monies every April 15. This form of governmental taking is probably the most popular, but there are other actions that result in a private citizen losing their property to a governmental agency. These themes create a tie between the most ancient texts and modern pop culture. An example of this is Gilgamesh and Riverdale. In the ancient Sumerian narrative, Gilgamesh by Herbert Mason, Gilgamesh, a ruthless king deals with the death of his newfound friend, Enkidu. Before, Gilgamesh did not care for his people. He forced brides to sleep with him, and did not take care of the great walls his subjects took so long to make. On the other hand, Enkidu grew up in the forest with the animals, and learned to protect and respect all beings. Both maintained their strength and friendship until Enkidu reached his disastrous fate. In the modern TV show, Riverdale by Rob Seidenglanz, Cheryl Blossomgrieves for her twin brother, Jason. The two were inseparable from birth, and their entire town was aware. Similarly to Gilgamesh, Cheryl was unsympathetic and disliked by her peers. Jason, like Enkidu, was more responsible and compassionate. In both Gilgamesh and Riverdale, characters learn to cope with the loss of a meaningful person in their life and ultimately experience change as a result. The friendship between Gilgamesh and Enkidu, as well as the attachment between Cheryl Blossom and her brother, Jason, is what makes their deaths so important. Myosin Skeletal Muscle Contraction Myosin is a conventional term used to reference a group of molecular motors that translocate actin filaments or translocate vesicles on fixed actin filaments in living organisms[1]. The human genome also contains 24 unconventional Myosins divided into 11 distinct classes including some nonmuscle Myosins[2]. This poster will cover in particular MyosinII which is responsible for skeletal musclecontraction[1] Myosin II has a molecular weight of 520 kDa contains two heavy chains, each roughly 2000 amino acids in length[3]. Each of these heavy chains are comprised of an N terminal head domain and C terminal tails that together take on a coiled coil morphology holding the two heavy chains together[4]. Myosin can hydrolyze a single ATP in 30 seconds which is slow when compared to the 5 10 ATP hydrolyzed every second when combined with Actin [7]. One Myosin head binds to one Actin filament to hydrolyze ATP, this occurs due to the polarity of the Actin molecule[7][Img2]. After completion of the hydrolyzation process and release of the products the usually weak bond between Myosin and Actin is strengthened due to the release of Phosphate[6]. This change is referred to as the Power Stroke as it pulls the Actin filament down the line, ADP is released and the Myosin head detaches once a new ATP is secured so the process can repeat[1][Img2]. Rigor Mortis is a stiffening of the body caused in part by the lack of aerobic respiration[8]. In death the body releases Calcium ions which interact with Actin and Myosin to contract muscles throughout the body[8]. Due to the cessation of respiration the body is unable to efficiently produce ATP[9]. This causes a shortage that denies Myosin and Actin the ability to disconnect, Calcium ions are unable to be pumped back out of the muscle cell so the muscles remain tense and the body

Some of the features visible in this engraving, such as the Crown of Thorns and the loincloth, are no longer visible when one looks at the shroud today. Arguments/Examples I. The Exxon Valdez Oil Spill To begin, the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill was a man made environmental disaster that occurred in 1989. On March 24, the Exxon Valdez oil tanker struck Bligh Reef and spilled 260,000 barrels of crude oil into the waters of Prince William Sound in Alaska (Piatt, Lensick, Butler, Kendziorek Nysewander, 1990). Eventually, this oil spread across 30,000 kmВІ of water, damaging ecosystems and marine life along the way (Piatt, 1990). Evidently, this oil spill is considered to be one of the most destructive man made environmental disasters in history (Dimdam, 2013). Initial government response to the disaster proved challenging due to the remote location of Prince William Sound. As a result, this led to a slow and inadequate clean up of oil in the Alaskan waters. The oil clean up took approximately four years, until the clean up efforts were eventually called off by the

Siddhartha Gautama (later known as the Buddha) is the rishi (founder) of Buddhism which is built on the doctrine that humans are forever burdened with suffering or dukkha. The teachings of Buddha serve as a tool to overcome desire, which is the root of all suffering. In this paper, the nature of the Buddhist s claim of suffering will be dissected and further examined along with the idea of the noble eightfold path, otherwise known as the solution to all suffering. Siddhartha Gautama was born a prince, sheltered from the outside world until he decided to take matters into his own hands and ventured out into the real world.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To understand the noble eightfold path, one must recognize what the Buddhist claim of human suffering is all about. In Buddhism there are three marks of existence: anatman, no self; anicca; impermanence; and lastly dukkha; suffering. With these marks of existence in mind, it is believed that the misunderstanding of anatman and anicca lead to dukkha. When an individual does not understand there is no self, it is essentially detrimental to their life. Impermanence serves a big role in Buddhism; however, it s a foreign concept to most individuals, hence their suffering. One has to understand that nothing lasts forever and be at peace with it. When impermanence is not fully understood desire arises from this plight. In the end, the goal becomes to terminate desire and to end desire is to end suffering. Moving on to the noble eightfold path, now that dukkha has been defined, the path is the solution to end all suffering. This path is not supposed to be an easy task as it takes a lot of effort (the sixth of the eightfold path). In another aspect of Buddhism, the four noble truths, the first truth states To live is to suffer. In other words it could be said that the eightfold path defies what is understood by living. Perfect view, the first on the path, is accepting the four noble truths and the three marks of existence.

INTRODUCTION Introduction Time is one of the major factors in learning .In order for learners to achieve success in any field, they need time to learn ,practice and apply what they have learned to fulfill goals (Farbman ,A N). Educational institutes in the US nowadays are trying to improve the quality of the education offered to students, therefor, there is a growing concern on how to use educational resources effectively such as time in learning. Previous researches indicated that there is a direct relation between the amount of time given to instruction and learning. This paper contributes to this growing literature on the effect of the long time spending in the educational institutes on students performance and achievement. In order to examine the impact of long instructional hours on student success and performance an action research project has been conducted at the ELS center in Murfreesboro. Aim of the Research The main of this research is to investigate the students perspectives concerning the long instructional hours in the ELS Center. The Research Objectives The objectives of the project is to identify the advantages and the disadvantages of the long working hours in the ELS center as well as offering suggestions for alternative scheduling to improve the quality of education offered by the center and might also increase students productivity and performance in the future. • 35. The Impact Of Television On The World Of The 20th Century... One of the most successful inventions of the 20th Century is the Television. Many describe Television as a way to connect with the wider world, with some even going as far as to use the device to escape from everyday life for an hour or two. Now, thanks to increasing technological developments, this escape can be made considerably easier with the introduction of mobile TV the use of Smartphones, tablets, and arguably most prominently, computers and laptops, bringing with it the expansion of online Televisionservices such as Netflix. The reason for exceptional developments in Television can be based off of the large growth in technology, and thus has led to an increased demand from its viewers. Despite the immense popularity with computer gaming and the Internet, Television still remains the most popular medium in New Zealand. However, before the likes of Netflix, there were no online providers. TV consumers outnumbered online users for years after the initial developments, as content was better on a Television rather than online due to the lack of variety and services available digitally over the Internet. Consumers watched Television for the escape from reality for an hour or two, and this was unavailable on a computer as there were no websites or Networks offering the content users wanted. A Nielsen study in 2012 on the media devices owned by people showed that 290 Million Americans (or around 92%) owned at least one Television, compared to 192 Million Americans that
  • 36. Upper Class And Lower Class American Class Perspectives Essay Option 1 The American class system, which is comprised of: the lower class, middle class, and upper class is divided up by power and the ability to control situations around us. With slavery abolished and racism on the decline, there still remains a link between the predominate race in the upper class and lower class of America. The upper class is comprised of mostly privileged white Americans and the lower class is comprised of predominantly minority s. The hierarchy of this wealth distribution must break down in order to reassemble in a fashion that benefits all members of all classes in this country. One key factor that is often attributed to success is education; therefore, educating all members of society to a similar baseline could right the offset that the lower class and upper privileged class currently have. Marginalized Society Part of the issue that modern society has with power distribution is the desire to marginalize those who strive to take it away. Confining the boundaries of power distribution fractures the possibility upward mobility and creates large walls rather than lines that can be crossed from one class to another (Fiske Rusciano, 2013). Herein lies the prejudice and discrimination; consequently, if a small Mom and Pop shop has a successful business, any children of the couple would likely have a greater opportunity to take over as a family member rather than a more qualified outsider. The discrimination may seem

Aers offers a psychologically based exploration of Blake s treatment of the Female and the conventional views of women in the society of which he was a part and concludes that Blake could not escape the popular male supremacist tradition. In opposition to this approach, Mary Lynn Johnson, in her essay Feminist Approaches to Teaching argues that in a century when no one . . . fully escaped the fourfold grip of father, priest, king, and God, Blake stands out as one of the few writers who understood the pervasiveness of this patriarchal power alignment and resisted its influence (58). Another critic who discusses the shift in Blake s treatment of the Female is Brenda Webster, whose article Blake, Women, and Sexuality considers Blake s shift in his treatment of the Female a result of his increasingly negative attitude toward sexuality (209). Webster explores Blake s fear of the Female Will, and how it affects his images of women. Dealing with the subject of the shift in the treatment of the Female, yet from a different angle, in his article William Blake s

Women have had to fight to win the same rights as the men who were born with them. As women progressed gaining equal rights as men, society also became more advanced changing its guidelines of how women should act. Often women who try to change themselves experience splitting . Bell gives examples of women, her patients, who have dealt with splitting and talks about how they changed themselves to fit into society. The Citadel is an all boys military school, but this all changes when Shannon Faulkner, a girl, is allowed to attend it. Since no other girl has attended The Citadel, Shannon does not know how to adjust and act in the new atmosphere. Quantitative And Qualitative Research Methodology Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methodology Comparison Research, as defined by Merriam Webster, is the activity of getting information about a subject (Research, n.d.). When looking at the research process there are two main approaches for gathering information; qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative approach focuses on describing information in a deep thought provoking manner. Adversely, the quantitative approach focuses on information from a larger number of people and applies statistical techniques to recognize patterns in the data ( Organizing, n.d.). In the educational setting, principals are the leaders of the school. Principals need to develop teachers, create a safe and productive work environment, and try to impact student achievement. Great principals search for new and inventive ways to make their school thrive. Research provides principals opportunities to better understand problems and changes in the school setting. Using research based data, principals can help promote student and teacher success in the educational setting. Qualitative and Quantitative Research methods The article Involving Young People in Changing Their School Environment to Make It Safer draws upon qualitative research to explore the process of involving teachers and students in student action groups. The article draws on the qualitative process by using semi structured interviews with a small sample of students and staff members (Fletcher, Fitzgerald Yau,

Analyzing Political Corruption and its Effects on the Mexican Economy Gyadisha Sulvaran Palm Beach State College Macroeconomics Warren Smith 4th of April 2014 Abstract For macroeconomics, we were given an assignment to examine and analyze the causes of the business cycle in foreign economies. We were divided into groups of 6 and were given the instructions to randomly select a continent. Our continent was North America. We had to choose between Canada and Mexico. The reason why we decided to choose Mexico is because of its economy trade with the US, their migration flow, the interesting influence on oil prices worldwide and the impact that the drug cartels have on Mexican politicians. Mexico is known for being one of the world s most corrupt nations but somehow they still manage to have one of the best industrializing economies in Latin America. • 54. Scout Reflection On Saturday, the 28th of October, I presented Earth Rocks to Cub Scouts who were earning their Merit Badge. As I now reflect on the two sessions I taught that day, I wonder if I could have ever been truly prepared for them. I believed I had everything lined out and timed to take us right up to the time their session was over. However, that was not the case because the scouts knew a considerable amount more about the subject than I realized. I feel honored to have been able to work with such intelligent groups of scouts. During the first session, I quickly realized that these Cub Scouts knew an impressive amount about the information I was presenting, so I forced myself to change how I was presenting the material. I engaged the scouts into the material by asking each one tons of questions about what they already knew. Then I made sure they stayed busy with hands on activities that really engrossed them into the material. I believe that when I had to change my lesson plans on the spot, I did decently well. I was able to bettergrab the scouts attention and help them learn more information than before they walked into the session. One of the most challenging ideas I tried to teach to the scouts would have to be about geographical surroundings and the geographical materials that make up the buildings. I feel as if I did not know enough about the subject matter, or how to present it correctly in a way that was truly benefiting the scouts. However, the scout leaders were
  • 55. Essay on Aboriginal People in the Canadian Military Throughout history, Aboriginals have been misunderstood and mistreated, despite their contributions to the country. There were many native men who gave their lives during the first World War and numerous native communities that did anything they could to help the war effort in Canada. Aboriginals contributed in many ways to serve their country during World War I. At the beginning of World War I, the Canadian government was hesitant about Aboriginals in the military. When the war broke in 1914, recruitment of Status Indians was prohibited, as they were often connected to torture and scalping. Some natives enlisted in face of the law, thanks to a commitment to their land. It wasn t until 1916 that the government allowed active ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Impressively, 100% of adult Aboriginal men from the Mi kmaq reserve in Sydney, Nova Scotia volunteered. The province of Ontario saw some of the highest native enlistment numbers. Areas around Brantford (Six Nations) and Tyendinaga (Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) became the highest sources of Indian enlistment in Canada (Lackenbauer, Moses, Scheffield and Gohier 123). Even with large quantities of Aboriginal soldiers, there were no exclusively Aboriginal battalions. Several battalions, nonetheless, consisted of great numbers of natives, including the 114th Battalion, also known as Brock s Rangers and the 107th Battalion, also known as the Timber Wolf Battalion. During the First World War, the voluntary service from Aboriginal men was significantly larger than expected. Aboriginals made very good snipers and scouts thanks to their hunting skills. Stereotypically, native men have good eyes, patience and a sharp shot. When combined with military level training, Aboriginals make exceptional snipers. Francis Pegahmegabow, one of the most acclaimed snipers in the Great War, is credited with 378 kills. He was also awarded the Military Medal and two bars for his service. Another distinguished sniper was MГ©tis Henry Norwest. He was credited with 115 kills and the Military Medal. Furthermore, at least 37 Aboriginal men were honoured for bravery in the first world war. After the First World War, Aboriginals

The majority of these individuals feel as though they are the only ones with this problem. They will often wear hats, scarves and wigs, or style their hair in a fashion that will not bring attention to the loss of hair. A decrease in social interactions often occurs, due to the embarrassment the individual feels from the noticeable hair loss. It is not uncommon for individuals with this diagnosis to become depressed, anxious and/or develop low self esteem. Though the individual may not have previously been diagnosed with a mental illness, the effects of the trichotillomania will often lead to them seeking help for the depression and/or anxiety.
