The Causes Of Facism In The 1930 s
In the 1930 s , Spain was a really divided country, it was politically divided between the right wing
also called Nationalists and the left wing or Republican parties. Both parties were made up of
different organisations, in the the nationalist party you could find monarchists , land owners ,
employers the Catholic Church and the army. The left wing was prinicipally made of workers and
socialits. The economics of the country was really bad cause of the Great Depression after the Wall

Bring You Down Research Paper
There will always be someone who wants to bring you down. Some individuals want to find
every imperfection that you have to make you feel bad about yourself. In an instant, people can
destroy your confidence and make sure that you feel as if you can t succeed at anything. Why do
people have to tear people down and view them with no worth? I believe the main reason that
people tear others down is because they are unhappy with themselves.
Why do people have to afflict others? I think they do these harsh actions in order to feel better
about themselves. Individuals will find faults in other people and exploit them because they want to
feel better about themselves. They desire a sense of power, even though it is only for a short time.

what does normal mean? People are worried about what others think, yet our differences make us

Illegal Immigrants Should Receive Health Care Essay
America needs comprehensive health care reform, and immigrants should be a part of the
movement. But many American citizens might ask that pertinent question: why should they cover
the expense for illegal immigrants to access health care? The answer is plain and simple: until
congress passes immigration laws that work, people are going to migrant here illegally. And to
deny migrants access to affordable health care, Americans are not only denying them their human
right, they are also putting individual and national health at risk. I believe that this country which
has the medical advancements and the facilities to ensure the health of its citizens should reach out
to its non citizens, legal and illegal, until it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The study s results prove that if the federal law requiring employers to supply valid social
security numbers for their employees is passed thus ensuring the loss of Oregon s undocumented
workers the state could lose as much as $656 million in tax revenues resulting in 173,500 jobs
losses (Navas). While the numbers vary from state to state, this study suggests that immigrants
might be contributing more than people think. Illegal immigrants usually hold jobs that have bad
conditions and worse pay. Oftentimes, these jobs are found in sectors such as agriculture,
construction, food handling and manufacturing (Dwyer). Unfortunately for the illegal individuals
who acquire these jobs, they have no access to comprehensive health care, though their line of
work tends to demand it. Although illegal immigrants are consequently strapped for cash, many
of them will not visit primary care physicians for fear of being deported. This sets up a vicious
cycle: individuals get sick yet ignore the signs. When illnesses get remarkably worse and are too
severe to treat at doctors offices, the individuals then go to emergency rooms, where the cost is
considerably greater. More often than not, the immigrants cannot afford to pay their hospital bills.
The cost is then covered by the medical institutions and tax payer dollars (Wolf). While some argue
that illegal migrants do not

Bumper Jacksons Concert Review On Mondavi Center
Bumper Jacksons Concert Review
Walking towards Mondavi center, I was amazed by how shiny and resplendent she was at night.
Having got my free ticket from the ticket office, I was led by well dressed and kind staff to the
Vanderhoef Studio where the concert will start soon. Upon entering the studio, I noticed that rather
than rows of seats, there were round tables, on which little candles were dimming. Purple and blue
lights were shed from the ceiling. I thought this set created a vibe that was so Jazz. Suddenly I felt,
somehow, this was going to be a wonderful show that differed from all the concerts that I used to
have.
When I took my seat at the table, I had a chance to talk to my tablemates. They were an old
couple who were local of Davis but I forgot to ask their names, which was a pity. I asked how they
got to know this band. They said actually, they did not know the band before. They bought the
membership of the Mondavi center and chose to come to this show because the band played a bit
country music, which they loved. Looking around, the local middle aged people and the elderly
made up the majority of the audience, plus some family guests so I thought maybe it reflected that
while hip hop, rock, electrical dance music were more popular among the young generation,
traditional American music like jazz, blues or country were more welcome by the older generation.
Then the show started. The band showed up as a group of five, one female and four males. Also,

A Hero Is A Hero
What if you were trapped in a burning building with nobody to come and save you? People need
heroes. Whether you are being robbed or your house is on fire, you need a hero. There is a
reason that heroes are so liked, needed, and wanted in our modern world. It s because heroes
instill order where there is chaos by having the kindness to do something that s right, like stand up
to a bully, but also by having the kindness to do something like rescue a cat from a tree.
The first thing that anybody needs when trying to be a hero is courage to do something right. A
hero has to have the courage to do something that is right no matter how hard or how big the task
really is. The man in the water is a good example of this because Lenny Skutnik didn t hesitate
for a split second about jumping into the water to save that lady and the man that was in the
water didn t hesitate about passing on the life preserver. It s something I never thought I would
do referring to his jumping into the water to drag an injured woman to shore... somebody had to
go in the water (pg 12 Man in the Water). He jumped in the water to save someone because he
knew that it was the right thing to do and he had the courage to do it. Every time they lowered a
lifeline and floating ring to him he passed it on to another of the passengers. (pg 12 Man in the
Water). The man in the water also had the courage to do what was right because even though he
knew he would probably die, he wanted the others to live which takes a tremendous amount of
courage. Whale Tale is also a good example for this because Michael Fishbach risked everything,
life and boat, to help a humpback whale. He swam into the water with the humpback whale that
was tangled up in the net knowing all to well that he could die from one frantic movement and
that is the courage that makes him a hero, he also was cutting the net off of the whale and had to
let it tow him around knowing that it could tip over the boat in an instant and that is why he is
recognized as a hero and that is because he had the courage to do something right while knowing
that he and his crew could have died. In order to believe in yourself as a hero and in order to be
recognized as a hero you have to

Importance Of Independence Day In Kenya
Africa is an immense country, with one of the most diverse cultures. Kenya is a part of that
diversity. Being there are hundreds of tribes and languages in Kenya, one would say they each have
their own culture. Kenya gained its own independence, and celebrates with festivals and traditions.
Kenyan culture is vast: their language, foods, crafts, and religion is increasing throughout the
country. With Kenyabeing very underdeveloped, its education system is outstanding.
Gaining independence is a difficult task, but to gain it in a place like Africa, it is even harder.
When they finally achieved their independence, they created a holiday to celebrate this day in
history. Independence Day is associated with Dedan Kimathi, a Kenyan rebel leader who fought
the British in the 1950s ( Kenya Celebrates ). On December 12, 1963, Africa became independent
from Britain. A year later, in 1964, Kenya became its own republic. Which they refer to as Jamhuri
which means Republic in Swahili. This occasion is celebrated notably with speeches, cultural
performances, and at night, remarkable fireworks. This day of celebration unites Kenya ( Kenya
Holidays ). Eid Al Fitr is an Islamic celebration that usually takes place in September when the
sighting of the moon marks the end of the Muslim holy month of fasting during Ramadan. Eid
celebrations usually involve personal cleansing, communal prayers, charity donations, three full
days of feasting, and spending time with friends and family

Collapse, By Jared Diamond
COLLAPSE by Jared Diamond attempts to answer the question, What caused some of the great
civilizations of the past to collapse into ruin, and what can we learn from their fates?
This book is divided into four main sections, and I ll be talking about the most important sections
and the most important chapters in it.
The first section starts off with Diamond going in to the present in the United States. He starts off
with the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. While it seems untouched, with endless splendor, looks are
deceiving. Diamond shows Montana as the model of our times: healthy on the surface, but at the
moment terminally ill below. As he writes on page 32:

Covering up to 500,000 square miles, these were extremely fertile lands, watered by the Tigris and
Euphrates rivers. Long, long ago, the area was so populated and so prosperous that it has been
nicknamed the Cradle of Civilization. But it collapsed. Due to thousands of years of irrigation,
subsequent salination, and displacement of forest with agriculture; the area now is the cradle of
misery and hostility. It is now part of the deserts and arid lands of Israel, Lebanon, Jordon, Syria,
Iraq, and southeastern Turkey.
Twilight at Easter is similar to the Fertile Crescent. One reason Diamond selected this island is
because, it proves to be the closest approximation that we have to an ecological disaster unfolding
in complete isolation. This, is an important aspect for researchers because it means that outside
factors, which so often make the difference, were not influential in the demise. The reasons for
collapse could only come from within the isolated system of Easter Island.
I found this chapter absolutely fascinating. For me the real insights were the role of the political
system in the building of the giant stone statues that became Easter Island s biggest mystery when it
was discovered in 1722. There were hundreds of erect statues with no one there. Who built them?
As Diamond explains, it was the dozen clans that controlled the island who built them. The clans
competed peacefully by seeking to outdo each other in building

Literary Analysis Of Emily Dickinson s Water Is Taught By...
Emily Dickinson is a well respected poet from the New England area. Although she was not
recognized during her lifetime, the close to 1,800 poems are well known to people who study
American Literature. One of her poems, Water, is Taught by Thirst , conveys the message of
appreciating what you have instead of waiting for it to disappear by taking a closer look at the
poem and evaluating the lines, people can connect to the message by looking at a few things they
appreciate in life.
By evaluating Water, is Taught by Thirst the reader can have a broader understanding of the
theme, appreciate what you have before they vanish before you realize it. Such as the second
line, Dickinson mentions land, by the oceans passed which I interpreted as the absence of land.
This also means she sees the land as a home, shelter, a place to rest and re energize. To her this is
very dear, she loved to stay isolated and frankly it is necessary to have somewhere to call home
and relax the mind to let the thoughts flow. Also in line 4, the writer talks about appreciating
peace. Line 4 of the poem says Peace by its battles told , I interpret this such as we miss and
understand peace in the middle of battle, war, conflict, and beef. Only during times of need does
someone ever truly appreciate something.
In reflecting on my life and on the concept of appreciation, I can relate because of my appreciation
for the things I have in my life. One of the many things I appreciate is my little chihuahua, he is
brown with a hint of gold. His attitude is not always the best, like sometimes he will ignore me,
but for the most part he is obedient. He is practically family or even more than that. It s hard but it
s as if he is an extension or piece of me. Another thing I appreciate but can sometimes lose sight of
is my parents, they love me a lot and there are times I forget that they are human beings and they
have their own problems. I forget what they have been through, I remember the struggle they had
to overcome just for me to ask every day to borrow their car because mine was messed up. The
amount of self sacrifice they achieved is unfathomable.my parents will never let me go to work
without money, even though I got paid and burned my

Examples Of Constructive Dividends
Constructive dividends are a common occurrence in most small companies since they often conduct
their business in an informal way. They can attract penalties from IRS for both the company and the
shareholders involved. Situations that result in constructive dividends are described in the essay.
Examples of constructive dividends and how to minimize them in a corporationare also highlighted.
Concept of Constructive Dividends
The term constructive dividend is used to describe a disbursement made by companies that benefit
a shareholder though the instalment is not carried out specifically to that shareholder and
regardless of the possibility that no official dividend has been announced (Ault Arnold, 2010).
These types of dividends take place in organisations that are closely held and transactions between
shareholders, and the company is often informal. There are situations when a shareholder is
considered to have been given constructive dividends. The first one is when the shareholder gets a
pay, a financial gain or a benefit. Such a dividend is taxed to the shareholder depending on the
degree of the existing as well as accumulated earnings or the company s profits and benefits. The
second one is when the organization uses reserves that do not bring about a corporate finding the
organization uses ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Constructive dividends result from different scenarios and can cause adverse tax outcome thus the
need to reduce them. A corporate or a shareholder can show the IRS that the organization did not
have sufficient amounts of profits or earnings to give shareholders any dividend. Besides, they can
proof such payments were not utilized for personal use but the normal company expenditures. If the
shareholders or the organization uses the above defences, payment of dividends may not be
classified as constructive dividends by the IRS (Ault Arnold,

Finally, I will draw the main conclusions from this project.
Simpson s rule
A way that we can see the trapezoidal (or midpoint) rule is that we approximate a function using a
first degree polynomial. Following this line of thinking we can say that by using Simpson s rule
we approximate a function using a second degree polynomial. In the graph here above f(x)
represents the function that we are trying to approximate
P(x) is the second degree polynomial that we use to approximate the function
The Simpson s rule can be derived in various ways described in the two following subsections.
First proof of Simpson s rule
(based on the proof in the book Calculus, Larson Hostetler Edwards s fifth edition)
∫_a^bв
–’в–€(f(x)dx=@ ) ∫_a^bв
–’гЂ–(AгЂ— x^2+Bx+C)dx
Integral is taken
∫_a^bв
–’в–€(f(x)dx=@ ) [(Ax^3)/3+(Bx^2)/2+C] x = b a
∫_a^bв
–’в–€(f(x)dx=[(A(b^3 a^3))/3+(Bг
Ђ–(bгЂ—^2 a^2))/2+C(b a)]@ )
By inverse distribution
∫_a^bв
–’f(x)dx=((b a)/6)[2A(a^2+ab+b^2 )+3B(b+a)+6C]
∫_a^bв
–’f(x)dx=((b a)/6)[(Aa^2+Ba+C)+4[A((b+a)/2)^2+B((b+a)/2)+C]+ (Ab^2+Bb+C)]
∫_a^bв
–’f(x)dx=((b a)/6)[f(a)+4f((b+a)/2)+f(b)]
To use Simpson s rule you divide the interval into n equal subintervals each of width ∆x=(b a)
/n. N is required to be even because for Simpson s rule we use coordinates to draw a polynomial
of the least degree to pass through. For a polynomial to be determined we need three coordinates,
we reuse the last coordinate of the previous polynomial to create our next one.

Stereotypes Of Arranged Marriages
Arranged marriages are traditional in Africa, South east Asia, The Middle East and Latin America.
Due to migration the practice has been extended today to western world countries. Many families
choose their daughters husbands according to wealth, so converting the woman into a tradable good.
Arranged marriage is a marital union where a third party matches the bride and the groom; arranged
marriages were common globally until the 18th century. In modern times, arranged marriages are
common in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. In more developed countries,
arranged marriages are still common in royal families, various parts of Japan, and in minority ethnic
groups.

For twice that a penny on a dollar we can transform the country from a sullen, dispirited nation,

Winter are the key characters. Frost is like a ghost, the first of many things that are dying. This
line gives the reader the image of a haunted landscape. It likens the frost and dusk of the day to
the spectre of a ghost and this gives the poem foreboding aspect as if the frost is evil and
malevolent. Winter is like a human character and it is a metaphor for deaththat made desolate and

Kenya s Agriculture And Economics Of Kenya
Most people correlate Kenya to long distance runners, of the beginning of man, its plethora of
wildlife, and maybe Barack Obama. However, what they may have not contemplated was Kenya s
agriculture and how it has affected the culture and economics of Kenya. Tea, coffee, sisal,
pyrethrum, corn, and wheat are grown in the fertile highlands, one of the most successful
agricultural production regions in Africa. Production is mainly on small African owned farms
formed from the division of formerly European owned estates. Coffee in Kenyais big business, but
it is grown mainly on small farms by farmer s co ops working together. Looking into Kenya s
past will help to clarify how coffee became an agricultural commodity, and give insight into its
beginnings. Before outsiders came into Africa, the country now known as Kenya, was a nomadic
area inhabited by Cushite people. It was not until the first century B.C. when Arabic people came
to the area as traders. They soon began to colonize areas along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Also
in the first century the Bantu began to settle areas inland from the coast. It took Europeans over

The Historical Landmarks Of Jerusalem
While the present day Jerusalem flourishes with the pilgrims attracted by the city s religious
significance and the tourists intrigued by its historical landmarks, it was merely a minor city state
in the ancient times. However, rather than a miracle that had occurred overnight, the social and
economic status of Jerusalemwas obtained through a process of evolution, the early parts of which
were recorded in the Hebrew Bible, which is a collection of narratives based on genuine historical
events while centering its stories on divine power. In the case of Jerusalem, the Bible provides
intricate accounts of religiously significant events that were in sync with the stages of Jerusalem s
development, starting with King Davids choice to designate the city as the capital of the United
Monarchy, and culminating around the time of Solomon s construction of the First Temple, as
well as the fall of the city to the Babylonians. Through these references to the Bible, which
centralize early events of the Israelite religious history in the city of Jerusalem, it is unequivocal
that not only has Jerusalem affected the religious society of the Israelites, but the evolution of the
city into a political and spiritual capital is also related to the religious events that took place in the
city. To examine the connection between religion and space, Thomas Tweed introduces a model in
his short essay Space , which defines the characteristics of religious spaces like Jerusalem
interrelated,

The Importance Of Finding Useful And Strong Evidence
Finding useful and strong evidence is always one of the most difficult, yet one of the most
important aspectpart of writing an essay. Evidence is the foundationbase of an essay and all the
essay s content relies on the evidence to support it and make a powerful statement. Most college
students are familiar with the concept of finding and using evidence to support their arguments in
their essays. It has been something that we have learned in grade school that we have all executed
on all of our essays. Evidence is used in order to make all statements and arguments deemed
correct. It is always difficult to refute someone when they have strong evidence. With good
evidence, the author is able to convince the reader to believe what the author is... Show more

In many parts of the article, I will either include a lot of my own analysis or a lot of quotes from
other articles. I need to find a perfect balance between the two so i have the perfect amount of my
own work and analysis and the evidence I need to include in order to justify my analysis. Another
weakness I think is the way I cite my sources. I m not completely sure the best way to cite my
source. I know that I need to have a works cited part but I struggle with incorporating my citation
into the actual text. Some strengths that I have are my organization. I was able to split my article
into separate sections and each section describes a different factor that students should take
account of when finding sources and evidence for their writings. I also think a strength of mine
was relating to the audience because I know that my audience is college students, so incorporated
different scenarios and situations that they would relate to more. For example, I know that college
students are typically very experienced in social media, so I incorporated a section about social
media because I know that many college students may not know that using social media as a new
source is not resourceful.

Abstract
Individuals connected with the environment around them, and their behavior is a reflection to the
environment variables. In these papers I ll illustrate how the person s behavior impacted under
critical circumstances. I ll concentrate on Hurricane Katrina, and what is the side effect on
workforce, and organizational behavior. The social behavior, and labor market showed stress and
emotional issues as side effects prior and after the Hurricane. By discussing these issues I ll
demonstrate how these factors affect the organization productivity, and suggesting a potential

How Does Labor Market Affected By Hurricane Katrina?
According to Greene, J., Polivka, A., (2008), and the data that used to find the
impact of Hurricane Katrina on the labor market. The estimation based on a difference in

Katrina. Katrina had great effects on the labor market outcomes of evacuees over the 13 month
period immediately following Katrina. The estimation suggests that the effects of Katrina
diminished substantially over time as evacuees recovered from the hurricane and adjusted to new
economic and social conditions.
Labor Market Recovery
There are many factors that lead the labor market to recovering such as self employment,

played an effective role in the labor market and economic recovery after the Hurricane. The

Loan Options For Real Estate Investing
Loan Options for Real Estate Investing
While investing in things like securities can cost as little as $20.00, investing in real estate
involves far more significant amounts of money. Most real estate investors don t have enough cash
on hand to cover the full cost of the property they are investing in. Instead, most are purchased
using some form of leverage. There are a number of loan options available to those who intend to
purchase real estate as an investment.
Residential Real Estate Financing

Government Grants
The Federal Government offers a number of grants aimed at helping real estate investors to fund
distressed property investments. Of course, these grants do come with a set of rules in place. The
investor must not only meet specific financial criteria but must also agree to improve the property
before he attempts to sell it. If you don t have enough cash reserves in place to meet this
requirement, this might not be the best option.
Non traditional Private Lender Financing
Just because your credit score and lack of assets stops you from securing favorable terms with a
traditional lender, doesn t mean you should give up on your investment. There are a number of non
traditional loan sources worth considering, including seller financing, peer to peer lending
networks, loan assumption, interest only loans, self directed IRA purchases, even friends, and
family. Interests rates for many of these forms of financing may be higher due to the appearance of
you being a higher risk borrower.
Commercial Real Estate Financing Options
Unlike residential real estate financing with its various government grants, commercial real estate
investors have only two financing options. The choices they have are through a bank or private
lenders.
Financing Through the Bank
The bank is likely to look at the investor s current income statements along with recent tax returns,

Theme Of Heroism In Casablanca
Casablanca Casablanca was directed by Michale Curtiz in 1942. There were three main actors.
Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergam and Paul Henreid played Rick, Ilsa and Laszlo in Casablanca.
This movie talked about an American named Rick who needed to choose between his love for a
woman named Ilsa and help her husband who wanted to continue fighting against the Nazis
escape the city of Casablanca. In this movie, we could see three themes, heroism, honor and
love. First, heroism is a concept that a person will consider the overall situation and make great
decisions and actions. Secondly, honor is a moral concept which is respected. Third, love is an
emotion that people will fall in with each other and understand and take care of each other
forever. However, I will talk about heroism in my essay. Here are three main ideas to introduce
my statements. First of all, Roger Ebert says, I identify with Rick, and what moves me is not his
love for Ilsa but his ability to put a higher good above that love. The author said Rick s action
was higher above that love. In some ways, it was heroism. Rick loves Ilsa, he could do anything
only for Ilsa. But he considered Ilsa s situation, he couldn t do selfish behavior. In other words,
Rick could refuse to give Laszlo and Ilsa transit and keep Ilsa company with him. On the
contrary, Rick gave them transit to America for free and let his love leave with another man
who fighted with their enemies. Ilsa said in the movie, I can t fight it anymore. I ran away from
you once. I can t do it again. I don t know what s right any longer. You ll have to think for both of
us, for all of us. Ilsa didn t know what is the right choice between justice and love. Actually, Ilsa
also liked Rick. Rick and Ilsa had old unforgettable thing that Ilsa ran away from Rick to return
her husband. Although Rick were angry when he remembered some scenes with Ilsa, he still
helped Ilsa and made right for her. In a sense, Rick was like a hero who were generous. Next,
Richard Corliss says, The galaxy of supporting characters in Casablanca constitute a dazzling,
baroque hall of mirrors that reflect facets and distoetions of the leading characters lives and life
styles...One of these variations which almost

Roman Army Discipline
Discipline is the practice of forcing people to follow societal norms. This has been necessary for
all groups of humans that work together. Even early Paleolithic humans worked in groups where
some form of discipline would be necessary. Different methods and goals of discipline have been
observed over time. The differences are due to varying military and political needs.
The Roman army used discipline for advanced strategy in warfare as well as state expansion. Rome
was a vast empire and sought to conquer many of the surrounding territories to acquire wealth and
resources. They were constantly adopting and developing military tactics that would help them gain
a military edge. One of these innovations was the organization of their troops into a checkerboard
formation. This formation was very flexible and offered real time tactical advantage. A unit could...

One aspect of guerrilla warfare is to cut resources off from the enemy. This could be done by
destroying telephone poles, sewers, railroads, or water mains. Guerrilla fighters needed to be
coordinated to execute these plans without the enemy catching them. The risk of such an
operation was high because the fighters would lose if the conventional army directly confronted
them. Discipline enabled the fighters to be able to focus on a mission and execute it swiftly and
covertly. Also, the eventual goal in this conflict was to develop a conventional army. Guerrilla
warfare was a defensive battle. It was nigh impossible to capture strategic points from the enemy.
Developing a conventional army would let resistive forces capture new territory and forcibly push
out the enemy. After years of discipline in the guerrilla army, the people would become well
trained soldiers that could be organized into a more conventional army. This aspect of discipline
shares a similarity with the Romans. Discipline was used to increase the tactical strength of their

The film focuses on the development of Eugenia Skeeter Phelan, a young, aspiring Anglo
American author trying to find her way in the world of writing. After becoming closer acquainted
with Aibileen, an African American maid employed by her peer Elizabeth Leefolt, Skeeter
becomes more aware of the racist attitudes that white Americans in her community have towards
black Americans. After successfully interviewing Minny, Aibileen s best friend and fellow maid,
Skeeter interviews the maids of multiple households and collects their stories and experiences of

The Mammy is a stereotypical black motherly figure that has cast African American actors as
either slaves or domestic help in the film industry since its inception. For example in the classic
1939 film Gone with the Wind adapted from Margaret Mitchell s 1936 novel set during the
American Civil war in 1861, the character named Mammy is played by African American actress
Hattie McDaniel. In this role Mammy is portrayed as an overweight, elderly, black servant. She
is beyond the years of childbearing but who is devoted to the white O Hara family she is
assigned to nurture. In the book she is described as, a huge old woman with the small, shrewd
eyes of an elephant. She was shining black, pure African, devoted to her last drop of blood to the
O Haras... (Mitchell, 1936) . Since this depiction a Mammy has become an archetypal figure that
began with slavery but continued to be depicted by white Americans as classic domesticated help.
Like McDaniel s character these women are most often characterised as portly with large breasts
(Gray, 2004) devoid of any sexual identity. In The Help the appearance of the African American
maids, particularly the main character, Aibileen, is reminiscent of the Mammy figure. Aibileen is
not portrayed as overweight as Hattie McDaniel s character, but she is noticeably larger than all of
the white characters in the film. Aibileen also has very dark skin which separates her from her
white counterparts. In the novel Aibileen compares

He explains eight developmental stages in which physical, cognitive, instinctual, and sexual
changes combine to trigger an internal crisis whose resolution results in either psychosocial
regression or growth and the development of specific virtues (Erikson, 2012). Since studies
show that the develop of schizophrenia around the ages of 16 through 30 and John was in
graduate school at the time of development it is safe to say that he was in his 20 s. In Erikson
eight stages of development John is in stage six of the eight stages of development which is
intimacy versus isolation. Erikson stated that a person who, as a result of sever disturbances in
the earliest dyadic relationships, fails to develop a basic sense of trust or the virtue of hope may
be predisposed as an adult to the profound withdrawal and regression characteristic of
schizophrenia (Erikson, 2012). Due to earlier difficulties in development intimacy versus isolation
may be impacted by schizophrenia in adulthood. Since this stage is contributed to love it is
obvious that John is having problems in this stage (Reitan, 2013). Due to the development of
schizophrenia at an early stage in the lifespan development it is easy to say the people with
schizophrenia will need support during the later stages of development to ensure that they will be
able to continue with developmental skills and wellness (Reitan,

Book Report On The Book The Night
Today is September 1st, 1939 in Holland. Right now I m going to be writing a book, it is going to

the middle of writing my book I was interrupted by a loud, BANG! Then there were even more
loud noises and I started to think that they were gunshots, so I looked at my window and i saw a
Jew laying on the ground dead and next to him was a Nazi with a rifle. I quickly ran over to the
Frank s House to see if they heard the shots and they did. Every single one of us started
wondering why they would kill Jews. We knew it was because of Adolf Hitler, he is in control of
the Nazis. Everyday now for the past week there has been at least one killing of a Jew. I started
to think that we were going to be in a war with the Germans. The next day seven Jews were shot
and killed and lots of people were being taken to a place called Concentration Camps. It is a
horrible place, they hardly feed you, it is just a complete disaster. The Franks are going into this
hideout called the Secret Annex, the Secret Annex is hidden in Otto Franks business place. The

Advantages Of Heat Transfer
In heat transfer, there are three modes for the transfer of heat named as Conduction, Convection and
Radiation. Every mode has its unique importance in a specific area. Convection heat transfer
reflects an advantage as it utilizes the heat transfer by means of a fluid either static or in motion.
Convection by means of a stagnant fluid implies Natural convectionwhereas by means of a fluid in a
motion reflects a Forced convection .
In a Natural convection flow, buoyancy and density effects are significant for the heat transfer
phenomenon. If a hot object is placed in a still air, the layer of air that is in contact with the
object is heated and as a result its density decreases. The air surrounding the heated layer of a
fluid is cold and of high density. As a result, the less dense air rises upward while the air of high
density moves towards a hot object under the buoyancy and density effects. This results in a
phenomenon of Convection currents that gives rise to a Natural convection phenomenon as shown
in the figure 1. The figure 2 demonstrates the case for the cold object placed in a still air results in
an opposite phenomenon.
Grashof number (GrL) is a dimensionless number which can be defined as the ratio of buoyancy
force to the viscous force that acts on a fluid. It is used for natural convection flow regimes.
The simple empirical correlation for the Nusselt number is given by;
The value of the constants C and n depends upon the surface geometry as well

Recently, the Anglican Communion and the Episcopal Church have been in a lengthy and complex

Analysis Of The Book Supporters Of The Documentary...
Supporters of the Documentary Hypothesis draw on quite a few sources as evidence. Firstly, they
argue that the use of divine names. The Elohist document refers to God as Elohim , while Jahwist
refers to God as Jehovah . It is argued that this inconsistency signals that Genesis 1 and 2 were
written at two different times by two different groups of people. The next argument is the proposed
continuous narration in the J document and E document. The fact that these documents can stand
alone as their own pieces of literature has the potential to negate the idea that the books were
written during the same period, let alone by the same person. The parallel passages also offer a
higher critical argument for the Documentary Hypothesis. The doublet account of Creation traces
Genesis 1 to the Priestly source during or after the Exile and Genesis 2 to the Jahwist source of the
9th century. While the passages seem to be describing the same story, the inconstancies create a
problem for single authorship. The lack of continuity in literary style of the Pentateuch also offers
evidence for the division into documents. Each document seems to carry its own traits and
characteristics that define it from another document. For example, the J document features a much
more active God in the Creation story. The E document, alternatively, has a more transcendent
quality in how it depicts God s role in the Creation. The differences in style offer no support that a
single author was responsible for

compatibility with Article 23(2) of the Brussels I Regulation. Exclusively, the question of whether

III.Procedural History
As to the matter of jurisdiction, El Majdoub alleged that the Landgricht Krefeld is the competent
court to proceed with the case because, Cotw as the defendant in the main proceedings is the party
to the sale contract which has been concluded between them also it is based in Germany (not in
Belgium).
On the contrary, Cotw argued that the courts in Germany are not competent authority to proceed
with the case based on two reasons. Firstly, on the website there is an agreement within Article 7 of
the general terms and conditions of online sales contracts that grants the jurisdiction to a court in
Leuven, Belgium. Furthermore, the defendant in the main proceedings contended that the real
party to the contract is the mother company which is established in Belgium while the plaintiff in
the main proceedings is well aware of that because the invoice which was sent to him contained the
contract details of the mother company and the money was paid to a Belgian bank account.
In spite of this, El Majdoub argued that the choice of court agreement acknowledged in Article 7
is not in writing, so it does not comply with Article 23(1) (a) of the Brussels I Regulation. In
addition, the general terms and conditions of the sale contract were incorporated in a webpage

the possibility of a successful Spanish voyage and the loss of Portuguese naval secrets, he sends
the Portuguese ambassador Alvaro de Costa to find Magellan. Although de Costa says the king

Seville is one of the greatest contemporary cities: both a commercial center, as showcased by its
thriving trade, and a religious center, home to the third largest church in the world. As a
Portuguese captain sailing for Spain, Magellan is not well received by the people of Seville. His
coat of arms is mistaken for that of the Portuguese king, and an angry mob attacks Magellan and
his crew. Although Magellan escapes harm, this shows that Magellan is powerless against the
people, foreshadowing a future mutiny. However, Magellan cannot dwell on the incident, as his
work is far from done. He needs to purchase supplies for the journey, including food, sailing gear,
weapons, etc. The food for only the first leg of the journey costs nearly as much as the entire
fleet, so this job requires great attention to detail. He is also faced with the task of assembling a
crew, which proves to be more difficult than usual due to his Portuguese heritage. He tries to
enlist as many Spaniards as possible, but most Spaniards do not want to sail under a Portuguese

By 1860, the United States seemed to be divided into two very different cultures Northern and
Southern. Write a three paragraph essay that explains the differences between the social structure,
economy, and political goals of the North and South.
By 1860 the cultures of the North and South were very different within the United States. For
example, the social structure in the North was focused on progress. It was easy for a hard working
person to rise to the top, which made the social structure less rigid. Men in the North believed that
getting a good education and working hard were the keys to success and the most important male
characteristics. Men were also expected to be the head of the household. Also, social diversity was
greater in the North because many immigrants moved to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Because of crowded population, people had access to more activities separate from work and
more experience with various cultures. On the other hand, the South had a very different social
structure. In the South, the man of the house owned his family servants and slaves. The man was
the head of the plantation, the leader in everything and part of an aristocracy. The most important
male social characteristics in the South were based on tradition, strength, honor and protection.
Southern women in the middle and upper classes were expected to focus on a good home,
manners and dress well. They could influence men but were expected not to say too much. The
social diversity of the South was minimal because there were fewer immigrants and a greater
separation between white and black people. Also, because people spent most of their time on their
farms and were more separated by

My Favourite Friend
It was a pleasant day,I can plainly recall that ,not long ago,we were in class 8th then. The sun was
at the highest point, shining gay,and we three,Arpita Varshneya,Pragati and I,were there in the
sun devising a plan to take revenge on our so called teaser friend, Rishika, the award winning
prankster and our friend from the next door, class 8 B. Friendship with this girl was a kind of
compromise for we three, for she lived in our colony and had known us since
childhood.Although, she seemed nice by her talks,as any new person might be mistaken for her
being a nice girl, her other side was known only to her friends. As I mentioned earlier, she was
literally an award winning prankster, the dupes, the unfortunates who had been fair games of
this trickster, must surely have cussed her of her goofy antics. We have been friends since first
grade, but her this side was exposed to me first only when one day she tried on her favourite
magician s,Julius Dein s,trick on me and under the trick s name, ate my whole pizza. Since
then, arpita, pragati and I have always been the victims of her tricks. It was just a day before that
when she, at pragati s birthday party,threw the whole big cake on her face in over excitement;
wretched, we had to survive without the cake on birthday!Back before that, when we were
leaving for home after our coaching class, she perforated the tyre of my bicycle and I had to drag
my bicycle all the way home. And not to forget about the April fools day, such a fearful day

Pharmacy Technicians Essay example
Pharmacy Technicians
Despite popular belief, pharmacy technicians are more than laborers; they are specially trained
individuals. Imagine a family member is admitted to the University of South Alabama Hospital with
an acute case of pneumonia, which will require oral and intravenous medications.
These medications must be precisely prepared and properly delivered. The common perception is
that pharmacists prepare medications and technicians simply deliver them. This view of their job is
both accurate and inaccurate.
Pharmacy technicians are most often seen as the pharmacy s delivery boy .
Technicians are responsible for timely delivery of medications. However, delivery of medications

The aseptic technique requires the sterile manipulation of syringes, vials, and medication in the
confines of a vertical and horizontal laminar flow hood. Both of these skills can be taught. Most
pharmacy technicians receive on the job training. The on the job training usually last for no more
than six weeks, which is approximately two percent of the time a pharmacist must dedicate to their
training. Ethical consciousness cannot be taught; only those who consider the implications of their
daily tasks acquire it. Technicians lacking professional ethics will endanger patient s lives.
Many ethical technicians make the choice to seek certification. Technicians are not required to
become certified by the National Pharmacy TechnicianCertification Board, but thousands of
technicians become certified each year. Certification, however, does not test the abilities of the
technician. It simply tests the knowledge required to complete various tasks. A technician being
certified brings up additional implications involving questions of liability between the pharmacist
and technician..
A pharmacist must check any medication that is administered to a patient. This is the focus of their
job. Nevertheless, if an error occurs they are not the only responsible party. Most laws involving
medical liability state that liability lies with the company and the competent medical professionals
involved with error. Once a technician

year spanning 5.87849981 x 10^12 miles . In comparison, the earth is only 7,917.5 miles in
diameter(Coffey). Within and on the earth itself, there are still great mysteries, and so it comes as
no surprise that a giant area such as space holds so much mystery. One of the most recent

Now that we can observe earth from outer space, we can find impact crater s on the earth s
surface. The three largest craters are found in Ontario, Canada , Vredefort, South Africa and the
Chicxlub crater (Carter). All three of these craters are massive and the Chicxlub crater has been
hypothesized to have destroyed the dinosaurs. According to Charles S. Quoi, in order to make an
impact the size of the Chicxlub crater, an asteroid would have had to have been at least six miles
in diameter and hit earth at a speed of 12.4 miles per second. In comparison, the largest fragment

then, yes, meteorite s have collided with earth, but will they again

Site Agent Syndrome
As we learned the Secret Service , and other agencies, assigns an experienced agent to oversee
the advance for every site the president visits during a trip. That site agent is often a senior
member of the detail, or at least trusted by his or her colleagues to supervise the complex process
of managing even a short visit from the most powerful man in the world. Site agents handle
everything. They are responsible for everything. Details matter. If the Secret Service suffers from
complacency, or if agents are not properly trained, the sites will fall apart. Errors, large and small,
will cascade. Yet here are some news making moments and blunders from the past five years: In
November 2009 reality TV stars Tareq and Michaele Salahi became known as the White House
party crashers when they attended a White House state dinner without an invitation. The Secret
Service let the couple into the White House, where their arrival was broadcast just like every other
visiting dignitary. The appearance raised concerns that guests weren t being properly vetted.
Another memorable moment happened... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Associated Press. As President Obama spoke at Nelson Mandela s memorial service, he was
accompanied by a purported sign language translator. Except the interpreter wasn t actually an
interpreter in fact he knew nothing of sign language, had been diagnosed with mental illness and
had faced charges of rape and murder in the past. This caused understandable alarm that a
potentially dangerous person was allowed to be in such close proximity to the president for so
long. The Secret Service responded that agents were in close proximity to the president and while
the agents don t know sign language, they know human language and would have taken action if
Mr. Jantjie had attempted to harm the president.

Waterfall Short Story
Waterfall The story of how I jumped off a waterfall starts one brisk morning in Costa Rica. My
brother, my dad, and I woke up pretty early given the fact that we were on vacation. I wasn t too
thrilled about losing out on a few hours of sleep, but my brother didn t seem to mind. As I
stepped out into the cool Costa Rican air I wasn t sure I was going to enjoy the hike we would
be going on. My dad said There is a waterfall at the end of the trail, and I think we can swim in
the water beneath it. None of that really excited me. I had seen quite a few waterfalls on other
trips that I had been on and didn t think they were anything super special. On top of that, I could
walk down to the beach and swim if I really wanted to. I would much rather go to the beach and
boogie board than go see a waterfall. After a short discussion, I reluctantly got in the car. It was a
long ride to the start of the trail, so I was able to get a little more sleep. For most of the ride I
looked out the window at the infinite amount of trees. I don t think I had ever seen more trees in
my life. They were everywhere. On both sides of the road there were tall trees with long vines
hanging from them. The thing that I found more amazing was how dense the forest was. I could
barely see five feet into the trees because it was so dark. The trees blocked out just about every
inch of sunlight. I remember my brother asking What happens if you get lost in there? . I answered
Well you would probably never

The Corrupting Views Of Hamilton And Jefferson
Power can corrupt people, especially the people that hold it. Hamilton and Jefferson, two founding
fathers of the country with very different ideas. The two were friends, but politics got in the way.
Hamilton wanted an industrial and urbanized society while Jefferson wanted a rural and
agricultural one. So the question is, whose views were better?
Some time after the war when America got its independence, everyone decided that Washington
should be president. When Washington took the oath he asked four people to be his Cabinet
members. They were: Alexander Hamilton (Secretary of Treasury), Thomas Jefferson(Secretary of
State), Henry Knox (Secretary of War), and Edmund Randolph (Attorney General).
Washington knew that Hamilton and Jefferson weren t so close, but ... Show more content on

Jefferson obviously didn t like the plan. He left the job because he saw that the Treasury
Department (Hamilton) had more power in forming the government. He also saw that Washington
was taking more of Hamilton s side.
The rivalry continued into personal life. Jefferson started accusing Hamilton of being a traitor and
said that he wanted monarchy back. Washington then said back that Hamilton s plan would work.
Jefferson replied saying Washington was weakened by age. Jefferson soon found out about
Hamilton s affair with Maria Reynolds, a married woman wanting money. When he decided to tell
everyone about the affair, Hamilton accused him of hypocrisy, most likely referring to the well
known and proven rumors of Jefferson s affair with his slave.
Speaking of slavery, Jefferson owned around 175 slaves with one whom he had an affair with. He
sold his slaves to punish them and he bought wine and other luxurious goods with the money.
Destroying families didn t bother Jefferson, says Paul Finkelman, a professor at Albany Law
School, because he believed blacks lacked basic human emotions. In short, he didn t care cause he
thought they didn t

In an instant, people can destroy your confidence and make sure that you feel as if you can t succeed at anything. Why do people have to tear people down and view them with no worth? I believe the main reason that people tear others down is because they are unhappy with themselves. Why do people have to afflict others? But many American citizens might ask that pertinent question: why should they cover the expense for illegal immigrants to access health care? The answer is plain and simple: until congress passes immigration laws that work, people are going to migrant here illegally. And to deny migrants access to affordable health care, Americans are not only denying them their human right, they are also putting individual and national health at risk. I believe that this country which has the medical advancements and the facilities to ensure the health of its citizens should reach out to its non citizens, legal and illegal, until it... The study s results prove that if the federal law requiring employers to supply valid social security numbers for their employees is passed thus ensuring the loss of Oregon s undocumented workers the state could lose as much as $656 million in tax revenues resulting in 173,500 jobs losses (Navas). While the numbers vary from state to state, this study suggests that immigrants might be contributing more than people think. Illegal immigrants usually hold jobs that have bad conditions and worse pay. Oftentimes, these jobs are found in sectors such as agriculture, construction, food handling and manufacturing (Dwyer). Unfortunately for the illegal individuals who acquire these jobs, they have no access to comprehensive health care, though their line of work tends to demand it. Although illegal immigrants are consequently strapped for cash, many of them will not visit primary care physicians for fear of being deported. This sets up a vicious cycle: individuals get sick yet ignore the signs. When illnesses get remarkably worse and are too severe to treat at doctors offices, the individuals then go to emergency rooms, where the cost is considerably greater. More often than not, the immigrants cannot afford to pay their hospital bills. The cost is then covered by the medical institutions and tax payer dollars (Wolf). • 7. Bumper Jacksons Concert Review On Mondavi Center Bumper Jacksons Concert Review Walking towards Mondavi center, I was amazed by how shiny and resplendent she was at night. Having got my free ticket from the ticket office, I was led by well dressed and kind staff to the Vanderhoef Studio where the concert will start soon. Upon entering the studio, I noticed that rather than rows of seats, there were round tables, on which little candles were dimming. Purple and blue lights were shed from the ceiling. I thought this set created a vibe that was so Jazz. Suddenly I felt, somehow, this was going to be a wonderful show that differed from all the concerts that I used to have. When I took my seat at the table, I had a chance to talk to my tablemates. They were an old couple who were local of Davis but I forgot to ask their names, which was a pity. I asked how they got to know this band. They said actually, they did not know the band before. They bought the membership of the Mondavi center and chose to come to this show because the band played a bit country music, which they loved. Looking around, the local middle aged people and the elderly made up the majority of the audience, plus some family guests so I thought maybe it reflected that while hip hop, rock, electrical dance music were more popular among the young generation, traditional American music like jazz, blues or country were more welcome by the older generation. Then the show started. The band showed up as a group of five, one female and four males. Also, they are all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. A Hero Is A Hero What if you were trapped in a burning building with nobody to come and save you? People need heroes. Whether you are being robbed or your house is on fire, you need a hero. There is a reason that heroes are so liked, needed, and wanted in our modern world. It s because heroes instill order where there is chaos by having the kindness to do something that s right, like stand up to a bully, but also by having the kindness to do something like rescue a cat from a tree. The first thing that anybody needs when trying to be a hero is courage to do something right. A hero has to have the courage to do something that is right no matter how hard or how big the task really is. The man in the water is a good example of this because Lenny Skutnik didn t hesitate for a split second about jumping into the water to save that lady and the man that was in the water didn t hesitate about passing on the life preserver. It s something I never thought I would do referring to his jumping into the water to drag an injured woman to shore... somebody had to go in the water (pg 12 Man in the Water). He jumped in the water to save someone because he knew that it was the right thing to do and he had the courage to do it. Every time they lowered a lifeline and floating ring to him he passed it on to another of the passengers. (pg 12 Man in the Water). The man in the water also had the courage to do what was right because even though he knew he would probably die, he wanted the others to live which takes a tremendous amount of courage. Whale Tale is also a good example for this because Michael Fishbach risked everything, life and boat, to help a humpback whale. He swam into the water with the humpback whale that was tangled up in the net knowing all to well that he could die from one frantic movement and that is the courage that makes him a hero, he also was cutting the net off of the whale and had to let it tow him around knowing that it could tip over the boat in an instant and that is why he is recognized as a hero and that is because he had the courage to do something right while knowing that he and his crew could have died. In order to believe in yourself as a hero and in order to be recognized as a hero you have to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Importance Of Independence Day In Kenya Africa is an immense country, with one of the most diverse cultures. Kenya is a part of that diversity. Being there are hundreds of tribes and languages in Kenya, one would say they each have their own culture. Kenya gained its own independence, and celebrates with festivals and traditions. Kenyan culture is vast: their language, foods, crafts, and religion is increasing throughout the country. With Kenyabeing very underdeveloped, its education system is outstanding. Gaining independence is a difficult task, but to gain it in a place like Africa, it is even harder. When they finally achieved their independence, they created a holiday to celebrate this day in history. Independence Day is associated with Dedan Kimathi, a Kenyan rebel leader who fought the British in the 1950s ( Kenya Celebrates ). On December 12, 1963, Africa became independent from Britain. A year later, in 1964, Kenya became its own republic. Which they refer to as Jamhuri which means Republic in Swahili. This occasion is celebrated notably with speeches, cultural performances, and at night, remarkable fireworks. This day of celebration unites Kenya ( Kenya Holidays ). Eid Al Fitr is an Islamic celebration that usually takes place in September when the sighting of the moon marks the end of the Muslim holy month of fasting during Ramadan. Eid celebrations usually involve personal cleansing, communal prayers, charity donations, three full days of feasting, and spending time with friends and family ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Collapse, By Jared Diamond COLLAPSE by Jared Diamond attempts to answer the question, What caused some of the great civilizations of the past to collapse into ruin, and what can we learn from their fates? This book is divided into four main sections, and I ll be talking about the most important sections and the most important chapters in it. The first section starts off with Diamond going in to the present in the United States. He starts off with the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. While it seems untouched, with endless splendor, looks are deceiving. Diamond shows Montana as the model of our times: healthy on the surface, but at the moment terminally ill below. As he writes on page 32: The Bitterroot Valley presents a microcosm of the environmental problems... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Covering up to 500,000 square miles, these were extremely fertile lands, watered by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Long, long ago, the area was so populated and so prosperous that it has been nicknamed the Cradle of Civilization. But it collapsed. Due to thousands of years of irrigation, subsequent salination, and displacement of forest with agriculture; the area now is the cradle of misery and hostility. It is now part of the deserts and arid lands of Israel, Lebanon, Jordon, Syria, Iraq, and southeastern Turkey. Twilight at Easter is similar to the Fertile Crescent. One reason Diamond selected this island is because, it proves to be the closest approximation that we have to an ecological disaster unfolding in complete isolation. This, is an important aspect for researchers because it means that outside factors, which so often make the difference, were not influential in the demise. The reasons for collapse could only come from within the isolated system of Easter Island. I found this chapter absolutely fascinating. For me the real insights were the role of the political system in the building of the giant stone statues that became Easter Island s biggest mystery when it was discovered in 1722. There were hundreds of erect statues with no one there. Who built them? As Diamond explains, it was the dozen clans that controlled the island who built them. The clans competed peacefully by seeking to outdo each other in building ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Literary Analysis Of Emily Dickinson s Water Is Taught By... Emily Dickinson is a well respected poet from the New England area. Although she was not recognized during her lifetime, the close to 1,800 poems are well known to people who study American Literature. One of her poems, Water, is Taught by Thirst , conveys the message of appreciating what you have instead of waiting for it to disappear by taking a closer look at the poem and evaluating the lines, people can connect to the message by looking at a few things they appreciate in life. By evaluating Water, is Taught by Thirst the reader can have a broader understanding of the theme, appreciate what you have before they vanish before you realize it. Such as the second line, Dickinson mentions land, by the oceans passed which I interpreted as the absence of land. This also means she sees the land as a home, shelter, a place to rest and re energize. To her this is very dear, she loved to stay isolated and frankly it is necessary to have somewhere to call home and relax the mind to let the thoughts flow. Also in line 4, the writer talks about appreciating peace. Line 4 of the poem says Peace by its battles told , I interpret this such as we miss and understand peace in the middle of battle, war, conflict, and beef. Only during times of need does someone ever truly appreciate something. In reflecting on my life and on the concept of appreciation, I can relate because of my appreciation for the things I have in my life. One of the many things I appreciate is my little chihuahua, he is brown with a hint of gold. His attitude is not always the best, like sometimes he will ignore me, but for the most part he is obedient. He is practically family or even more than that. It s hard but it s as if he is an extension or piece of me. Another thing I appreciate but can sometimes lose sight of is my parents, they love me a lot and there are times I forget that they are human beings and they have their own problems. I forget what they have been through, I remember the struggle they had to overcome just for me to ask every day to borrow their car because mine was messed up. The amount of self sacrifice they achieved is unfathomable.my parents will never let me go to work without money, even though I got paid and burned my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Examples Of Constructive Dividends Constructive dividends are a common occurrence in most small companies since they often conduct their business in an informal way. They can attract penalties from IRS for both the company and the shareholders involved. Situations that result in constructive dividends are described in the essay. Examples of constructive dividends and how to minimize them in a corporationare also highlighted. Concept of Constructive Dividends The term constructive dividend is used to describe a disbursement made by companies that benefit a shareholder though the instalment is not carried out specifically to that shareholder and regardless of the possibility that no official dividend has been announced (Ault Arnold, 2010). These types of dividends take place in organisations that are closely held and transactions between shareholders, and the company is often informal. There are situations when a shareholder is considered to have been given constructive dividends. The first one is when the shareholder gets a pay, a financial gain or a benefit. Such a dividend is taxed to the shareholder depending on the degree of the existing as well as accumulated earnings or the company s profits and benefits. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finally, I will draw the main conclusions from this project. Simpson s rule A way that we can see the trapezoidal (or midpoint) rule is that we approximate a function using a first degree polynomial. Following this line of thinking we can say that by using Simpson s rule we approximate a function using a second degree polynomial. In the graph here above f(x) represents the function that we are trying to approximate P(x) is the second degree polynomial that we use to approximate the function The Simpson s rule can be derived in various ways described in the two following subsections. First proof of Simpson s rule (based on the proof in the book Calculus, Larson Hostetler Edwards s fifth edition) ∫_a^bв –’в–€(f(x)dx=@ ) ∫_a^bв –’гЂ–(AгЂ— x^2+Bx+C)dx Integral is taken ∫_a^bв –’в–€(f(x)dx=@ ) [(Ax^3)/3+(Bx^2)/2+C] x = b a ∫_a^bв –’в–€(f(x)dx=[(A(b^3 a^3))/3+(Bг Ђ–(bгЂ—^2 a^2))/2+C(b a)]@ ) By inverse distribution ∫_a^bв –’f(x)dx=((b a)/6)[2A(a^2+ab+b^2 )+3B(b+a)+6C] ∫_a^bв –’f(x)dx=((b a)/6)[(Aa^2+Ba+C)+4[A((b+a)/2)^2+B((b+a)/2)+C]+ (Ab^2+Bb+C)] ∫_a^bв –’f(x)dx=((b a)/6)[f(a)+4f((b+a)/2)+f(b)] To use Simpson s rule you divide the interval into n equal subintervals each of width ∆x=(b a) /n. However, what they may have not contemplated was Kenya s agriculture and how it has affected the culture and economics of Kenya. Tea, coffee, sisal, pyrethrum, corn, and wheat are grown in the fertile highlands, one of the most successful agricultural production regions in Africa. Production is mainly on small African owned farms formed from the division of formerly European owned estates. Coffee in Kenyais big business, but it is grown mainly on small farms by farmer s co ops working together. Looking into Kenya s past will help to clarify how coffee became an agricultural commodity, and give insight into its beginnings. Before outsiders came into Africa, the country now known as Kenya, was a nomadic area inhabited by Cushite people. It was not until the first century B.C. when Arabic people came to the area as traders. They soon began to colonize areas along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Also in the first century the Bantu began to settle areas inland from the coast. It took Europeans over fourteen hundred more years to make their way to Kenya. Kenya was now under the rule of the Portuguese. From the sixteenth until the nineteenth century Kenya was an Islamic state, then it became a British colony. • 22. The Historical Landmarks Of Jerusalem While the present day Jerusalem flourishes with the pilgrims attracted by the city s religious significance and the tourists intrigued by its historical landmarks, it was merely a minor city state in the ancient times. However, rather than a miracle that had occurred overnight, the social and economic status of Jerusalemwas obtained through a process of evolution, the early parts of which were recorded in the Hebrew Bible, which is a collection of narratives based on genuine historical events while centering its stories on divine power. In the case of Jerusalem, the Bible provides intricate accounts of religiously significant events that were in sync with the stages of Jerusalem s development, starting with King Davids choice to designate the city as the capital of the United Monarchy, and culminating around the time of Solomon s construction of the First Temple, as well as the fall of the city to the Babylonians. Through these references to the Bible, which centralize early events of the Israelite religious history in the city of Jerusalem, it is unequivocal that not only has Jerusalem affected the religious society of the Israelites, but the evolution of the city into a political and spiritual capital is also related to the religious events that took place in the city. To examine the connection between religion and space, Thomas Tweed introduces a model in his short essay Space , which defines the characteristics of religious spaces like Jerusalem interrelated, ... Another weakness I think is the way I cite my sources. I m not completely sure the best way to cite my source. I know that I need to have a works cited part but I struggle with incorporating my citation into the actual text. Some strengths that I have are my organization. I was able to split my article into separate sections and each section describes a different factor that students should take account of when finding sources and evidence for their writings. This movie talked about an American named Rick who needed to choose between his love for a woman named Ilsa and help her husband who wanted to continue fighting against the Nazis escape the city of Casablanca. In this movie, we could see three themes, heroism, honor and love. First, heroism is a concept that a person will consider the overall situation and make great decisions and actions. Secondly, honor is a moral concept which is respected. Third, love is an emotion that people will fall in with each other and understand and take care of each other forever. However, I will talk about heroism in my essay. Here are three main ideas to introduce my statements. First of all, Roger Ebert says, I identify with Rick, and what moves me is not his love for Ilsa but his ability to put a higher good above that love. The author said Rick s action was higher above that love. In some ways, it was heroism. Rick loves Ilsa, he could do anything only for Ilsa. But he considered Ilsa s situation, he couldn t do selfish behavior. In other words, Rick could refuse to give Laszlo and Ilsa transit and keep Ilsa company with him. On the contrary, Rick gave them transit to America for free and let his love leave with another man who fighted with their enemies. Ilsa said in the movie, I can t fight it anymore. I ran away from you once. I can t do it again. I don t know what s right any longer. You ll have to think for both of us, for all of us. Ilsa didn t know what is the right choice between justice and love. Actually, Ilsa also liked Rick. Rick and Ilsa had old unforgettable thing that Ilsa ran away from Rick to return her husband. Although Rick were angry when he remembered some scenes with Ilsa, he still helped Ilsa and made right for her. In a sense, Rick was like a hero who were generous. Discipline enabled the fighters to be able to focus on a mission and execute it swiftly and covertly. Also, the eventual goal in this conflict was to develop a conventional army. Guerrilla warfare was a defensive battle. It was nigh impossible to capture strategic points from the enemy. • 33. Advantages Of Heat Transfer In heat transfer, there are three modes for the transfer of heat named as Conduction, Convection and Radiation. Every mode has its unique importance in a specific area. Convection heat transfer reflects an advantage as it utilizes the heat transfer by means of a fluid either static or in motion. Convection by means of a stagnant fluid implies Natural convectionwhereas by means of a fluid in a motion reflects a Forced convection . In a Natural convection flow, buoyancy and density effects are significant for the heat transfer phenomenon. If a hot object is placed in a still air, the layer of air that is in contact with the object is heated and as a result its density decreases. The air surrounding the heated layer of a fluid is cold and of high density. As a result, the less dense air rises upward while the air of high density moves towards a hot object under the buoyancy and density effects. This results in a phenomenon of Convection currents that gives rise to a Natural convection phenomenon as shown in the figure 1. The figure 2 demonstrates the case for the cold object placed in a still air results in an opposite phenomenon. Grashof number (GrL) is a dimensionless number which can be defined as the ratio of buoyancy force to the viscous force that acts on a fluid. It is used for natural convection flow regimes. • 37. Analysis Of The Book Supporters Of The Documentary... Supporters of the Documentary Hypothesis draw on quite a few sources as evidence. Firstly, they argue that the use of divine names. The Elohist document refers to God as Elohim , while Jahwist refers to God as Jehovah . It is argued that this inconsistency signals that Genesis 1 and 2 were written at two different times by two different groups of people. The next argument is the proposed continuous narration in the J document and E document. The fact that these documents can stand alone as their own pieces of literature has the potential to negate the idea that the books were written during the same period, let alone by the same person. The parallel passages also offer a higher critical argument for the Documentary Hypothesis. The doublet account of Creation traces Genesis 1 to the Priestly source during or after the Exile and Genesis 2 to the Jahwist source of the 9th century. While the passages seem to be describing the same story, the inconstancies create a problem for single authorship. The lack of continuity in literary style of the Pentateuch also offers evidence for the division into documents. Each document seems to carry its own traits and characteristics that define it from another document. For example, the J document features a much more active God in the Creation story. The E document, alternatively, has a more transcendent quality in how it depicts God s role in the Creation. The differences in style offer no support that a single author was responsible for ... Firstly, on the website there is an agreement within Article 7 of the general terms and conditions of online sales contracts that grants the jurisdiction to a court in Leuven, Belgium. Furthermore, the defendant in the main proceedings contended that the real party to the contract is the mother company which is established in Belgium while the plaintiff in the main proceedings is well aware of that because the invoice which was sent to him contained the contract details of the mother company and the money was paid to a Belgian bank account. In spite of this, El Majdoub argued that the choice of court agreement acknowledged in Article 7 is not in writing, so it does not comply with Article 23(1) (a) of the Brussels I Regulation. In addition, the general terms and conditions of the sale contract were incorporated in a webpage which opens through clicking on a click box indicating to click here to open the ... • 40. Troy Chapter 2 Summary Chapter Two Summary When news of Magellan s planned voyage reaches King Manuel, he becomes alarmed. Fearing the possibility of a successful Spanish voyage and the loss of Portuguese naval secrets, he sends the Portuguese ambassador Alvaro de Costa to find Magellan. Although de Costa says the king will reconsider the request for an expedition, this promise has a dark undertone. If Magellan and Faleiro refuse to come back to Portugal, de Costa warns that they will lose all their honor, that their family and friends will suffer, and that they will risk upsetting the delicate truce between Portugal and Spain. Magellan knows that that if he accepts the offer, he will most likely be convicted of treason and then executed, so he tactfully declines. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Seville is one of the greatest contemporary cities: both a commercial center, as showcased by its thriving trade, and a religious center, home to the third largest church in the world. As a Portuguese captain sailing for Spain, Magellan is not well received by the people of Seville. His coat of arms is mistaken for that of the Portuguese king, and an angry mob attacks Magellan and his crew. Although Magellan escapes harm, this shows that Magellan is powerless against the people, foreshadowing a future mutiny. However, Magellan cannot dwell on the incident, as his work is far from done. He needs to purchase supplies for the journey, including food, sailing gear, weapons, etc. The food for only the first leg of the journey costs nearly as much as the entire fleet, so this job requires great attention to detail. He is also faced with the task of assembling a crew, which proves to be more difficult than usual due to his Portuguese heritage. He tries to enlist as many Spaniards as possible, but most Spaniards do not want to sail under a Portuguese captain. Therefore, he is forced to include many foreigners in his crew. This leads to scrutiny amid accusations of Magellan packing his crew with Portuguese, but after some concessions from both sides the Armada is ready to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My Favourite Friend It was a pleasant day,I can plainly recall that ,not long ago,we were in class 8th then. The sun was at the highest point, shining gay,and we three,Arpita Varshneya,Pragati and I,were there in the sun devising a plan to take revenge on our so called teaser friend, Rishika, the award winning prankster and our friend from the next door, class 8 B. Friendship with this girl was a kind of compromise for we three, for she lived in our colony and had known us since childhood.Although, she seemed nice by her talks,as any new person might be mistaken for her being a nice girl, her other side was known only to her friends. As I mentioned earlier, she was literally an award winning prankster, the dupes, the unfortunates who had been fair games of this trickster, must surely have cussed her of her goofy antics. We have been friends since first grade, but her this side was exposed to me first only when one day she tried on her favourite magician s,Julius Dein s,trick on me and under the trick s name, ate my whole pizza. Since then, arpita, pragati and I have always been the victims of her tricks. It was just a day before that when she, at pragati s birthday party, threw the whole big cake on her face in over excitement; wretched, we had to survive without the cake on birthday!Back before that, when we were leaving for home after our coaching class, she perforated the tyre of my bicycle and I had to drag my bicycle all the way home. And not to forget about the April fools day, such a fearful day ... The aseptic technique requires the sterile manipulation of syringes, vials, and medication in the confines of a vertical and horizontal laminar flow hood. Both of these skills can be taught. Most pharmacy technicians receive on the job training. The on the job training usually last for no more than six weeks, which is approximately two percent of the time a pharmacist must dedicate to their training. Ethical consciousness cannot be taught; only those who consider the implications of their daily tasks acquire it. Technicians lacking professional ethics will endanger patient s lives. Many ethical technicians make the choice to seek certification. Technicians are not required to become certified by the National Pharmacy TechnicianCertification Board, but thousands of technicians become certified each year. Certification, however, does not test the abilities of the technician. It simply tests the knowledge required to complete various tasks. A technician being certified brings up additional implications involving questions of liability between the pharmacist and technician.. That site agent is often a senior member of the detail, or at least trusted by his or her colleagues to supervise the complex process of managing even a short visit from the most powerful man in the world. Site agents handle everything. They are responsible for everything. Details matter. If the Secret Service suffers from complacency, or if agents are not properly trained, the sites will fall apart. Errors, large and small, will cascade. Yet here are some news making moments and blunders from the past five years: In November 2009 reality TV stars Tareq and Michaele Salahi became known as the White House party crashers when they attended a White House state dinner without an invitation. • 47. Waterfall Short Story Waterfall The story of how I jumped off a waterfall starts one brisk morning in Costa Rica. My brother, my dad, and I woke up pretty early given the fact that we were on vacation. I wasn t too thrilled about losing out on a few hours of sleep, but my brother didn t seem to mind. As I stepped out into the cool Costa Rican air I wasn t sure I was going to enjoy the hike we would be going on. My dad said There is a waterfall at the end of the trail, and I think we can swim in the water beneath it. None of that really excited me. I had seen quite a few waterfalls on other trips that I had been on and didn t think they were anything super special. On top of that, I could walk down to the beach and swim if I really wanted to. I would much rather go to the beach and boogie board than go see a waterfall. After a short discussion, I reluctantly got in the car. It was a long ride to the start of the trail, so I was able to get a little more sleep. For most of the ride I looked out the window at the infinite amount of trees. I don t think I had ever seen more trees in my life. They were everywhere. On both sides of the road there were tall trees with long vines hanging from them. The thing that I found more amazing was how dense the forest was. I could barely see five feet into the trees because it was so dark. The trees blocked out just about every inch of sunlight. I remember my brother asking What happens if you get lost in there? . I answered Well you would probably never ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hamilton and Jefferson, two founding fathers of the country with very different ideas. The two were friends, but politics got in the way. Hamilton wanted an industrial and urbanized society while Jefferson wanted a rural and agricultural one. So the question is, whose views were better? Some time after the war when America got its independence, everyone decided that Washington should be president. When Washington took the oath he asked four people to be his Cabinet members. Jefferson replied saying Washington was weakened by age. Jefferson soon found out about Hamilton s affair with Maria Reynolds, a married woman wanting money. When he decided to tell everyone about the affair, Hamilton accused him of hypocrisy, most likely referring to the well known and proven rumors of Jefferson s affair with his slave. Speaking of slavery, Jefferson owned around 175 slaves with one whom he had an affair with. He sold his slaves to punish them and he bought wine and other luxurious goods with the money.
