2. Divorce And Spousal Maintenance Essay
Divorce and spousal maintenance and parenting time and legal decision making and...so much
more. When the marriage ends, an entirely new set of rites, rituals, routines and definitions are
suddenly left on your doorstep. You can try to step over them and ignore them for as long as you
can, but the easiest way to deal with the mess is to figure it out so you can manage it gracefully.
We ve all heard of divorce and have a general idea what it means and entails. In Arizona, couples
file for a no fault divorce. In some ways, this makes obtaining a divorce easier. There is no
required separation period, etc. But there is still a process. For instance, if there are children
involved, you ll both be required to take a parenting class. Don t fight this. It s one of the new
and exciting experiences divorce brings with it that you can t avoid so you might as well
embrace it. You ll also need to learn to accept that your finances are an open book not only to your
soon to be ex, but your attorney, their attorney, the Judge and any other court employees involved
in the process. If you didn t learn about give and take during your marriage, you ll definitely be
forced to learn about it during your divorce. Be prepared. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In Arizona, spousal support or maintenance (previously known as alimony) can vary greatly. It can

3. Corporate Influence And Political Corruption
In today s society many Americans believe that there is corruption within politics. According to
Jeffrey Milyo author of Corporate Influence and Political Corruption, a nationally representative
opinion survey done in 2008 states that, a little more than 50 percent of respondents agreed that
corruption in the federal government is widespread and an extremely serious concern, while fewer
than five percent considered corruption in the federal government to be rare or not a concern
(Konisky, Milyo, and Richardson, 2008). This leads many Americans to believe that politics is an
inherently corrupt activity (Milyo, 2014). This of option of course can be looked at from many
different perspectives. With many major corporations contributing to political campaigns; it is
assumed that these politicians are being bought to further benefit the corporation s agenda.
Therefore, the perspective of Ethical Egoism; contributing to these campaigns is deemed justified
since it would further benefit the company. A politician who invokes an ethical egoism view would
believe that their actions of accepting contributions from a major cooperation would be justified
since it helps them achieve their goal of entering their chosen political position. Since the politician
is achieving what they wish then to them, their actions are justified.
If you follow the logic of utilitarianism, one would argue that contributing to campaigns to benefits
the company and its employees and that insures that

4. Essay on Africa
Africa s Resistance to the Portuguese
The African history has been affected tremendously due to the influence of some European
countries. Portugal, who probably had the greatest impact on the continent, was not shy in
invading what they thought to be profitable circumstances. One of these areas that they profited
from was the kingdom of Kongo. Kongo was a major Bantu speaking kingdom astride the Congo
River in west central Africa, probably founded in the 14th century. It was governed by a king, the
manikongo, whose economic power was based upon trade in ivory, hides, slaves, and a shell
currency of western Africa.
Within a few years after the Portuguese first encountered the kingdom in 1484, the sixth

By 1570 the power of the Kongo kingdom had begun to decline, and severe internal tensions had
developed. Alfonso I knowing what was going on wrote a series of papers to King Joao III of
Portugal. In these papers, Alfonso I pleaded with the king to take away all the corrupt Portuguese
from his kingdom. With false assurance from the king of Portugal, he asked to have sent those
people of religious and medical backgrounds to help modernize his kingdom. With the corruptness
still noticeable in the Kongo, Alfonso I was forced to pass a law stating that ...any white man
living in our Kingdoms and wanting to purchase goods in any way should first inform three of our
noblemen and officials of our court whom we rely upon in this matter... (57). These futile attempts
of writing letters to the king were not making any significance. The king of Portugal was money
hungry along with the majority of all his servants who worked for him down in Africa.
Some of the areas of Africa knew that letters to the king would not work alone. They were forced to
use action against the Portuguese. People known as Zimba did the military launches. Most of the
attacks were economically motivated. They were being used for the trade circuit. Zimba attacks
were successful against the Portuguese but they did not succeed in reestablishing the traditional
market for their ivory.

5. Piet Mondrian s Composition With Red, Blue, Yellow, And Gray
The second artwork that caught my attention was Piet Mondrian s piece titled, Composition with
Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, and Gray, 1921, a Cubist inspired painting, expressing balance and
tension of form and color. At this time, Mondrian created many similar paintings, same form, same
abstract and same palette, consisting the colors white, black, gray, and three primary colors, with
the composition constructed from thick, black horizontal and vertical lines that delineated the
outlines of the various rectangles of color. Reflecting a lot upon Mondrian s piece titled,

6. America and the Holocaust
America and the Holocaust With the liberation of the concentration camps at the end of WWII, the
issue at hand was what to do with the Jewish peoples with no place to go. In the month of March
1933, one of the first camps, Dachau, was opened. Dachau was a concentration camp, or a prison
camp maintained by the Third Reich, [the name for Germany when the government was controlled
by Adolf Hitler]. Aside these concentration camps was two other types of camps; labor camps, and
death camps. A main concentration camp was Theresienstadt. Theresienstadt was located in what is
now known as the Czech Republic. More than 150,000 were kept there for months until being sent

The doctors who examined the incoming prisoners and sorted them also worked in these
hospitals performing medical research on the ill. This medical research was mostly placing the
Jewish prisoners in ice water baths then monitoring them until they died. This research was
mostly used to prevent hypothermia if German Pilots ever ended up being stranded in the ocean.
Some of the experiments performed by doctors often had no research purpose at all, such as
experiments involving eye color changing using chemical droppers and the surgical sewing of
children together to create siamese twins. Auschwitz was the largest death camp with 20,000 Jews
being killed a day and 39 subcamps. The Nazi leadership aimed to deceive the German population,
the victims, and the outside world regarding their genocidal policy toward Jews. Positive stories
were fabricated as part of the planned deception. One book printed and distributed in 1941 reported
that in Poland, German authorities had put Jews to work, built clean hospitals, set up soup kitchens
for Jews, and provided them with newspapers and vocational training. By 1944 most of the
international community knew about the camps and were aware that the Germans and their axis
partners brutally mistreated prisoners although exact details about the living conditions were
unclear. The existence of the Nazi camps was known by most of the European governments long
before the beginning of World War II.

7. Stereotypes Of Generation Z
When hearing the term generation Z lots of different thoughts and stereotypes probably come to
mind. People born in the years of 1995 to 2010 just missed the age where technology took over
childhood, yet still made it to remember few historical events such as 9/11. Since the technology
boom, Gen Z humans have many more resources than ever before. With the whole world ahead of
them, they can go on to accomplish many things as long as they get passed the negative
stereotypes. Generation Zhas been labeled lazy, impatient, and entrepreneurial. Although most of the
stereotypes are negative, there is some positive in this generation.
One of the many stereotypes Generation Z is referred as is lazy . In an article posted by The
Huffington Post, it is stated that Gen Z is often portrayed as less engaged in politics; they have
short attention spans and don t care about the weighty issues that confront their generation and the
nation; and they re more interested in technology and celebrity than staying active in their
communities and schools. (Micoleta) Because this generation grew up with google at the touch of
their fingers and with smartphones and other hand held devices, they can search anything at any
given time without even moving. Although some might consider this lazy, others might argue that
it is resourceful. I agree with this lazy stereotype because I have seen first hand how it has affected
society. Online shopping has taken a huge hit; people can order anything from

What Happens to Starch Molecules in My Mouth
Priyanka Balla
Goal: I want to make sure that my evidence and my reasoning make sense and support my claim.
When starch molecules are in our mouth, enzymes in our saliva start a chemical reaction which
makes starch molecules break down and turn into glucose.
There was evidence of starch being broken down into glucose when we did lesson 4 in our book,
we tested to see if five different solutions contained glucose and starch. During the experiment, we
tested to see if 10 drops of cracker solution and 10 drops of cracker solution and amylase contain
glucose. During the experiment there was a color change in the solution that had the cracker
solution and the amylase.
My second piece of evidence was when we chewed the cracker for two minutes in class and in
reading 4.1. It said that the taste changed from bland to sweet.
My last piece of evidence was with the baby food, the baby food around the spoon which was
covered in enzymes was thinner than the rest of the baby food in the container. ... Show more

9. The Last Armed Conflict Of The Western Hemisphere
The last armed conflict in the western hemisphere is coming to an end bringing hope of a
peaceful and better world to all of us. This was the message President Santos of Colombia
delivered to the general assembly of the United Nations in 2014. The ongoing peace process sits
down the government and the FARC with the objective of ending hostilities and negotiating a
social reform. The FARC guerrilla was founded almost 50 years ago in a small town south of
Colombia where the villagers were tired of the government s inequality and bad treatments. After
50 years of conflict, the social purpose of the armed group has disappeared and now they are
terrorists and drug traffickers. After 2 years of ongoing negotiations, 3 out of 5 agenda points have
been agreed upon. In his speech for the international community President Santos effectively gets
their support for the process using an authoritarian tone, a positive diction, and an appeal to
sympathy from them showing the horrors of warand the benefits of peace. He also understands the
end of this conflict not only benefits Colombia but sets a precedent for the rest of the world and
convinces the other leaders of this. Nonetheless, he falls in some logical fallacies like hasty
generalizations and broad assumptions that would make his argumentfall apart with another
audience in another context.

Santos seeks to show the logic and

why I am here to save the earth, and that s why I want all of you to join with me today. With fossil

natural gas affects our environment, second how it is going to boost up the economy, and third how
it makes the United States becomes energy independent. First of all, in 2009, the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) conducted a thorough report on natural gas in Pennsylvania, Ohio,
Minnesota, and Montana. After the tedious examination, the EPA concluded that water
contamination could not accurately be tied with fracking. (Groundwater Investigation, EPA) This is

12. Limitations Of Cosmopolitanism
Cosmopolitanism does have its limits in achieving its aims. It is necessary that one tracks the
historical roots of cosmopolitanism to understand what visions it sets out to propose for IR. In
Hellenic era, cosmopolitanism finds its meaning when Alexandrian intermarriage took place
(Russel, 1945: 220), introducing the concept of mankind as a whole . Similar notion came into
being in Stoicism in which people, apart from their own local identity, are united under a world
citizenship (Nussbaum, 2010: 156). Kant, in the eighteenth century, furthered expounded on
cosmopolitanism by suggesting a rule of cosmopolitan law and universal liberties (Held, 2010:
3). Drawing on those historical developments, this essay takes cosmopolitanism as an ideal that
posits that people are citizens of the world and are subject to a common normative standard.
(Dunne, 2013: 348). By extension, it suggests that obligations and allegiances are to the
universal category of humankind (Dunne, 2013: 348). There are limits to such a cosmopolitan
ethical vision for IR. One can find limits in the vision s effectiveness and practicability of
realising its proposals. As for effectiveness, cosmopolitan values (1) are extremely difficult to
define and (2) fall short of being legally binding on international actors. These combine to
undermine its assertion on the global stage. As for practicability, (1) there is moral debate as to
who decides what cosmopolitanism ideals are; (2) it spells conflicts when it

13. Using Mobile Technology And Its Impact
Today s workforce has changed dramatically compared to the past. One aspect of this change is
in terms of work life balance, particularly in the realms technological development and
globalization, and their combined effect on the modern workforce. These aspects are
responsible for the transformation of the traditional work week, especially in fields where the
work is done through the use of computers and technologically advanced machinery, as well as
jobs that can be relocated in third world countries. The introduction of new technologies such as
mobile devices, portables, and the internet has accelerated the work pace to obsession over
efficiency and precision. Consequently, this adds pressure on managers and employees, forcing
them to take their work home and causing a deterioration in their quality of life. However, the
exact degree of this change from the past remains to be well studied and researched. To further
evaluate this claim, 11 subjects were interviewed about the use of mobile technology and its
impact. These interviews targeted managers of all levels and of different years of experience.
These findings are also supported by using the theory of the economist Frederick Herzberg, as well
as from Robert Tannenbaum and Warren Schimidt, and other articles and studies done in the
business world. Technology as an Important Tool The introduction of new technologies, like mobile
phones, tablets, laptops, portable devices and the new pervasiveness of the internet, has

Feminist Reading of Culture
October 19th, 2017
Ms. Marvel: No Normal
Reading No Normal was my first ever experience with the Ms. Marvel spinoff, and I absolutely
loved it. I think choosing a sixteen year old, Pakistani American, Muslim girl as the main hero
was a bold move for the American comic book giant Marvel, but I believe it truly paid off. In Ms.
Marvel: No Normal, Kamala is a wonderful representation of female empowerment through self
identity. The main plot point of the comic is that Kamala, (a Muslim high school girl struggling
with her faith and identity) is asked if she d like to attend a party where alcohol will be served,
which is a violation of her religion. As she contemplates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, this image also doesn t truly show Kamala as herself. Although I myself am a white
woman, I personally felt empowered when Kamala s father tells her, you don t have to be someone
else to impress anybody. You are perfect just the way you are. As she tries on her different
identities, she realizes that she doesn t fit into either image, both American and Muslim. Using her
own wit and motivation, she creates her own identity instead. I really enjoyed the representation of
female strength in this comic.
One portion of the plot that I thought was very interesting was Kamala s personal identity
intersecting with her sense of strength. When Kamala finally accepts her true self, she s forced
to shrink into a tiny version of herself. Although this was pivotal to the action packed plot, I
thought this specific metaphor was interesting. I connected her finally accepting herself, (for she
hadn t yet, not completely,) to have to being reborn, or a type of hero s journey where she has to
reemerge as her true self, fully realized, in order to succeed. It s only in the fifth and final volume
that Kamala is capable of mastering her powers, after being shrank. With Bruno s help, she
physically, (and mentally) grows into a giant, her truly realized, heroine form to save the day.
Ms. Marvel: No Normal is a great read that really connected with me. Kamala

16. Physics of Mining Essay
Mining is a necessary component of the world we live in and it has been practiced for thousands
of years. The mining industry produces billions of tons of raw product every year. The process of
mining is very complicated and involves plenty of physics! Two main components of the mine cycle
are: Drilling, and Blasting. Some important factors in miningare the pillars, rock elasticity, and the
slope stability of the ground being mined.
A basic method for destroying rock is mechanically induced stress, such as drills and erosion jets.
A turbine drill for example, uses a turbine to rotate a diamond faced cutter wheel. The power
output, p, can be calculated using the equation p=2 ПЂNT where N is the rotational speed of the
turbine and T is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is normal for these shearers to have up to 1 megawatt of power!
Blasting is used in mining to break up rock or create space. Explosives are placed in a blasting
hole and then detonated. The velocity of the detonation of the explosives are enormous. The
detonation of a common explosive such as ANFO (an agent consisting of ammonium nitrate
prills and fuel oil) can reach velocities of 5,000 m/s in a 375 mm blasting hole. Blasting is very
dangerous because it produces fragments of rock moving at high speeds called flyrock. There have
been cases of flyrock weighing up to 500 kg being projected almost a full kilometer!
It is often necessary for miners to take into account the resistance of rock bodies to compression
and distortion when placed under stress. The ability of a body to resist forces is determined by
elasticity.
The three moduli of elasticity are:
Young s Modulus: E= (Applied force/Area) / (Change in length/original length)
Shear Modulus: G= (Applied force/unit area) / (Angular deformation)
Bulk Modulus K= (Force/unit area) / (Change in volume/unit volume)
Young s Modulus measures the ability of a body to resist elongation or shortening.
Shear Modulus measures the ability of a body to resist a change in shape.
Bulk Modulus measures the ability of a body to resist a change in volume.
Slope stability is important when a judgment is needed

17. The World On The Terrorism
When looking at the terrorism that ISIS has endued it has become very evident that a solution
needs to be drawn into action. In my opinion the only way to take down this organization is to
begin to treat it like the state that it is. A state is defined as: a nation or territory considered as an
organized political community under one government. ISIS has not only gained territory in Syria,
Iraq and Istanbul but according to New York Times columnist, Tim Arango, ISIS is building a
capacity to govern. In 2014, ISIS formally informed the world on their establishment of a caliphate.
This caliphate is governed under Islamic beliefs and rulers. They have begun issuing
identification cards for residents, promulgating fishing guidelines to preserve stocks, and
requiring that cars carry tool kits for emergencies (Arango). Believe it or not, ISIS has been a
state for two years, regardless of their lack of legitimacy, their consistent threat of violence against
any of those who oppose their beliefs allows them not only to get things done, but get them done
efficiently. Whether we want to accept it, ISIS is a state, and we need to treat it as such.
On the 29th of June in 2014, ISIS announced that a caliphate has been establish and the caliph was
to be Caliph Ibrahim. The saying goes, In order to kill a snake, one must cut off its head. The

20. Shakespeare s The Taming Of The Farew And The Taming Of...
ENGLISH
The Taming of the Shrew , is one of William Shakespeare s most celebrated works in history and
is known to be one of his most comedic pieces of literature. With its lighthearted sense of a late
1500 s Elizabethan era work, the famous play showed many relevant ideologies of society
according to its particular era in history. Many of Shakespeare s works have been adapted into
successful films that were made to suit the society of a new and different age, for example, his
piece The Taming of the Shrew , has been formed into several films and short films. In my
opinion, it just shows that Shakespeare s writings are still relevant today and forever will be
timeless.
The most famous remakes of the of the 1500 s play, were Gil Junger s 1999 adaptation 10 Things I
Hate About You, and Franco Zeffirelli s 1967 version of The Taming of the Shrew . Both films
show elements of similar society ideologies, such as masculinity and femininity which are
portrayed through the main characters; Katherine, Kat, Petruchio and Patrick. Some characters
show signs of severe misogynistic characteristics, for example, as the dominant Petruchio tames
the dominant Katherine until she is submissive. To help corroborate with this is the quote For I

22. Assess The Importance Of Feedback In Student Education
Reporting to both students and parents/carers is an important skill and part of being a teacher.
Reporting to students in the form of feedback is a critical element of the learning cycle.
Incorporating a range of effective strategies for providing students with feedback can advance
students understanding and development. Lacing instruction with correctional feedback will result
in the production of new instruction (Hattie Timperley, 2007, p.82). The combination of instruction
and feedback gives students the next step they need to take to develop a deeper understanding. For
feedback to provide any meaning to students it must link to the task at hand and be provided in a
timely manner. Sadler, as cited in Hattie and Timperley (2007, p.82) point out that feedback should
provide students with a stepping stone from what they understand to what is to be understood. The
feedback given to students to bridge the gap between... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parents/carers are also invested in the development of student education. The aspects of their child s
education that parents/carers are interested in are the progress they are making, their strengths
and weaknesses, their development in comparison to other children and what they can do at
home to help (Cohen et al., as cited in Kivunja, 2015, p.385). It is the teachers responsibility to
keep parents/carers informed and attend to any concerns they may have. In addition to mid year
and end of year reports there are a number of strategies teachers can take to keep parents/carers
informed. Readman and Allen (2013, p.159) have identified a phone call or letter home, or an
entry into a student diary that is to be sighted and signed off by a parent/carer as some effective
strategies to report students progress. It is important for teachers to communicate through these
strategies to keep parents/carers aware of their child s progress and there are no surprises when

23. Segregation In Chicago Research Paper
The People United Will Never be Defeated
When driving through any state in America, it is hard not to notice the segregation that often
establishes itself throughout the neighborhoods; there exists a clear distinction what streets are
predominantly populated by White, Black, Hispanic, Arab, or other racial groups. According to
recent analysis of the U.S. Census Data, Chicago is the most diverse city, as well as the most
segregated (chicago.cbslocal.com). This raises the question of whether or not Chicago has also
joined the bandwagon of so many cities across the United States where it has become an accepted
social circumstance that every ethnic, racial, political, or religious group in a community must
stand alone to overcome their own struggles and fight their own battles . Chicago is a city that

Is it acceptable for one individual or a group of individuals to come together and fight for a
common cause? Or are they just seen as young people who are too high on drugs who do not
know what is actually going on in the world today? Throughout the 1960 s there was a new
generation emerging, a generation that demanded change and fought for this change when it did
not happen. Even though there was an influence of drugs on this young generation it did not mean
they were any less capable to stand up and fight for what they believed in. Many of these young
individuals had these revolutionary and spiritual thoughts while they were on mind altering drugs.
They believed that they one day could change the world they lived in. Many people associate the
1960 s with drug use and assume it was just a hedonistic search for personal happiness. Given the
larger context, with so many social movements and challenges to the status quo floating around,
could it have been more than that?
Within the 1960 s a new form of drug was created and was said to be an essential pharmaceutical
that should be in every doctor s bag. This drug was called lysergic acid diethylamide, but is more
commonly know as LSD. Albert Hofmann, as Swiss chemist, created this new drug in hopes that
he might have found a profitable analeptic that could cure migraines. However, this was not the
case. Hofmann decided to dose himself with the drug to see if it would help subdue headaches. He

26. The Effects Of Pornography And Relationships
Pornography and Relationships Nowadays, we see sexual images through advertisements, movies,
social media and books everyday to an extent that these images are considered normal. Many
people argue that watching porn can hurt and destroy relationships. According to many doctors and
researchers, pornography can be harmful for one s body and their relationships. Studies and
surveys show that women are the ones who are affected by male porn the most. Although this
debate is not a new subject, it is far from resolved. The majority of women are unhappy with the
fact that their partners view pornographybecause they believe that porn reduces the relationship
commitment. On the other hand, some argue that watching porn can actually help to improve
sexual needs in relationships. Looking at the studies and researches, it is clear that watching porn
is more harmful than beneficial for a relationship. Peg Streep, the author of What Porn Does to
Intimacy article, reasons why viewing pornography is bad for romantic relationships. She believes
that pornography should not have a role in serious relationships, and she supports her claim by
using different studies and researches. Streep writes that the number of men who think that
watching porn is okay when they are in a relationship, are much more than women who have the
same mindset. Streep points out three reasons why she believes that porn can hurt relationships.

The behavior of a criminal individual is a major center point for psychologists. Many experts have
researched and debated the outcome of criminal behavior. Is it genetic makeup that makes an

a positivist theorist would not examine the part of free will in the tragic event performed by
Holmes. This approach would acknowledge his criminal behavior based on a psychotic event. This
is where the positivist theory addresses different aspects that are most likely the sources of James
behavior, such as sociological factors, mental illness, and his environmental influences from when
he was a child to adulthood. In addition, a positivist will suggest that the cause of the mass murder

the most important movements in time. Until I viewed this movie I did not fully comprehend
the depths of the struggles of the woman s suffrage movement. This movie contains a powerful

31. What Was The Role Of Women In Nineteenth-Century England
Introduction
A conflict stirred among the sexes during the nineteenth century that reverberated through all
aspects of life from science to literature. The advent of the Industrial Revolution in the late 1700s
and the introduction of capitalism sparked the discussion on the nature and role of women as
society shifted from a land centered economy to an urban workforce. This argument gained such
notoriety it commonly became known as The WomanQuestion, and it covered aspects of the legal
and political rights of women, education, and economic opportunities. Such was the discussion that
scientists, philosophers, and biologists like Charles Darwin, Herbert Spencer, and Patrick Geddes

He called for perfect equality among the sexes (Mill 3). Then, in 1871, Charles Darwin published
The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex. In this book, he discusses topics ranging
from human evolution, as in his On the Origin of Species, to the differences between the sexes.
The latter topic being the most prominent in the discussion on The Woman Question and what
roles women were to occupy. British philosopher Herbert Spencer suggested everyone had basic
rights, including women, and that these rights were necessary for social progress and those basic
rights fell in with cooperation among the sexes rather than competition (Sweet). Similarly, Patrick
Geddes, a Scottish biologist and follower of Spencer, theorized that male and female
characteristics were complementary and must be kept in balance. His views supported, to some
degree, the separation of men and women into separate spheres not because the sexes were unequal
but because they were and needed ways in which to express their strengths. Interestingly enough,
these types of ideas and theories surfaced in the literature of the Victorian era, namely that of

Running is a great way to keep fit and can be a lot of fun, too. It is very important to make sure you

pair of running shoes. They can improve your running gait and prevent injuries. There are thousands
of different runningshoes to choose from and most of the big sports manufacturers invest money
into the science and technology of running shoes.
Running Shoe Components
A running shoe comprises an outsole, a midsole, an upper, a heel counter and a post or
footbridge. Apart from that, running shoes vary enormously in design and color. A running shoe
has to be flexible and durable, control motion and absorb shock. It is best to buy your shoes from
a specialist running shop, or at least a sports shop, so you can get good advice from the sales staff.

Foot type affects which sort of running shoes will be better for you. The normal foot tends to be

have high arches, avoid stability or motion control shoes, as these will limit foot mobility. If your

Many people were affected by the decision government Abbott has made, which leads rivalry

Economists agree that unemployment and inflation are two of the major macroeconomic problems
of the twentieth century. If a relationship between the two existed then this would be a major break

evidence and worked towards a theory. The causation for the Phillips theory was that the level of
unemployment caused the rate of change in money wages to be what it was.
What economic theory lies behind this?
As unemployment decreases the available pull of labour goes down. This means that resources
become increasingly scarce and workers can push for higher wage rates. Or as unemployment

They held that it was the government s duty to achieve the correct level of demand by manipulating
its own spending and tax receipts, or in other words, to have an active fiscal policy. This policy
required the government to spend more than it received if the economy had less than full
employment. As a consequence, aggregate demand would rise through a multiplier effect and
unemployment would fall. The inflation controversy Demand Pull or Cost Push?
Keynesian economists were divided into two camps. Some believed that inflation was caused by
too much demand for goods and services, or excess demand i.e. Demand Pull Inflation. Such
economists were very enthusiastic about the Phillips curve because it seemed to provide strong
evidence for their views. The second camp of Keynesian economists believed that inflation was
caused by cost pressures arising from high wage settlements gained by strong trade unions and from
increases in import prices i.e. Cost Push Inflation. They were doubtful about the usefulness of the

In the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee, the author, uses theme to reveal a truth about
life to Jem and the readers. At the end of the chapter, Atticus and Jem are talking about Mrs.
Dubose, their mean, old neighbor who had passed away. A month earlier, Jem destroyed all of
Mrs. Dubose s camellia flowers because she had made a rude comment about Atticus to Scout
and him. As a punishment, Jem was forced to go over to her house and read a book to her every
afternoon for a month. Shortly after his month was over, Mrs. Dubose died. She had left a white
camellia for Jem in her will, causing him to freak out over it. Atticus explained to Jem that
although Mrs. Dubose was a racist and terrible person, she was very courageous underneath all...

Mrs. Dubose was a morphine addict; she knew that she would die very soon because of it.
Because she knew what the consequences would be and still fought through her addiction, she
was a courageous person in the eyes of Atticus. He explained to Jem his view on the situation, I
wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a
gun in his hand. It s when you know you re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and
you see it through no matter what. (Lee 128). Atticus was trying to tell Jem that courage isn t a
man holding a gun, who is able to shoot any danger in his way. Courage is someone knowing that
the situation they re going to go through will have bad consequences, but they go up against it
anyways. They choose to deal with it head on, no matter what will happen to them in the future.
That s what Atticus believed was courage, which is why he thought that Mrs. Dubose fit that
attribute. She was well aware of the consequences of being a morphine addict; she knew for a fact
that she had a few months left to live because of it. Yet, she still stuck around and fought through it
as long as she

45. Ecclesiastes Rich Vs Poor
God is the creator of everything that we possess. As children of God, he as our father has blessed
us with many things. As humans, sometimes take blessing and objects for granted or praise them
too much. In the book of Ecclesiastes, it talks about the differences between the rich and poor, but
also talks about one major similarity between them two: faith. No matter how different people can
be or how much they have, in Ecclesiastes it states that everyone should remember is to praise God.
Out of all the verse from the book, Ecclesiastes, the verse that s stood out to me the most was
chapter five verses nineteen to twenty which states
Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to
accept his lot

46. The Care Practice At Reed City Family Practice
I was placed at Reed City Family Practice in Reed City, Michigan for My field work. Essentially,
this practice is a family practice which means this practice provides services for one s entire
family needs no matter of age, ranging from birth to geriatric. They provide services Such as
immunizations, common cold, flu, strep, Mono, ordering diagnostics, wellness checks, yearly
physicals, health maintenance, and referrals to specialists, just to name a few. while there I
learned, they had eight providers and, adding more with a wide range of services they provide.
As many of the providers on the site have much expertise. All the providers can treat all patients

It seems in this office there is always plenty of them to do. Also, there are overdue results that
patients need to get done, if the computer says it s been too long then the medical assistant must
call them patients see if they plan on having them tests done. This is an all day thing if you have
a break with patients you are on the phone. For the most part, medical assistants do not leave at 5
pm. It is very important to know your job duties as a medical assistant and, accurate with the
information you accumulate from your patients as you are their advocate. You communicate
with family, doctors, specialists, other health care workers concerning your patient s needs. The
providers are just as busy as their medical assistant. Most of the providers on the site have
services they do that another provider doesn t do such as, DR. Z does some common
adjustments of bones and, also monitors pain for patients that have pain issues with some
addiction tendencies. He will refer to the social worker on site to discuss and maintain any
further addiction issues. My experience working with Dr. Z is, the more you know or the more
he can show you the better. He will, as he is doing procedures will ask you if you want to see what

47. Identity Crisis in Arthur Miller s Death of a Salesman Essay
Arthur Miller s Death of a Salesman is the story of a man much like Miller s father, a salesman,
whose misguided notions of success result in disillusionment (Draper 2360). The suppression of the
main character, Willy Loman s, true nature is a result of his pursuit of a completely misguided
dream. The fraudulent and miserable existence this generates is accentuated by the father son
relationship he shares with his son Biff. Willy Loman has surrendered the life of himself and his
sons to a dream of success, while this dream is not particularly reprehensible, it is nevertheless
unsuitable for him and can only be kept alive at the expense of his selfhood. Because Willy does
not know himself, his ambitions ?are based on false... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
and live a simple life (Miller 72). In fact, his road accidents are attributed to these bouts of
dreaming spent gazing at scenery, specifically trees (Corrigon 97). Whenever Willy reminisces,
the pastoral melody of a flute, ?telling of grass and trees and the horizon,? is heard, affiliated
with his trailblazing flute maker father (Miller 11). Willy?s father ?was a pioneer type? who
traversed cross country in a wagon, ?earning money by ingenious inventions and the making of
flutes? (Corrigon 97). The pastoral dream, pursued through carpentry or farming, would have
been more fitting for Willy?s nature than the cruel world of sales in the ?constraints of the
modern city? (Corrigon 97). Willy feels best performing manual labor??planting a small garden,
building a swing, or putting a new addition on the house??but cannot grasp the happiness these
achievements bring (Nelson 119). Willy is somewhat aware that he is not cut out for commercial
success because the ?falsity of his existence? torments him (Nelson 131). Willy?s anguish is best
expressed in his fruitless attempts to plant a garden: ?the crumbling salesman?s last vain attempt to
accomplish something, the dying ember of the agrarian frontier dream? (Nelson 122). Willy has
?given his real nature a horrible wrench in an attempt to mould it? into the strained life of a
salesman in a big city (Sharma 370). In short, this repression has obliterated his true identity, quite
obvious in comparison to his son Biff. Miller

48. The Generation Of The New Generation
The unknown future may be frightening, but knowing the Millennials are the next generation of
leaders to change the world should be comforting. Millennials make up the population of society
that was born between 1980 and 2000 and in America there are more millennials right now than
baby boomers more than 80 million (Simmons Duffit). Just like every new generation, the
Millennials have been endlessly criticized by older generations. They have been called lazy,
entitled, self absorbed, social media crazed, technology addicts, privileged, and so much more.
This generation change has drawn more public attention than ever before, maybe because of the
access to widespread information nowadays or maybe because this time, it s a bigger deal.
Millennials aren t afraid to address this topic because they believe that they can change the world
for the better. They want the judgements in communities and the criticisms in the workplace to
stop. They want society to realize they are not so different from generations before, they are
already transforming life as we know it, and that they will soon be the next generation of leaders
and nothing can change that. Although Millennials can be perceived in multiple negative aspects,
older generations should be open to the unique potential that this massive generation has to offer as
an opportunity to close the gap of separation and learn to grow from each other. One of the most
common criticism of Millennials is their tendency to be lazy.

49. J. D. Salinger s The Catcher In The Rye
Catcher in the Rye is a very confusing book. Usually you can kind of guess what is going to
happen next. For an example when Holden, the main character, is arguing with his roommate
Stradlater you could tell that they were going to get physical with each other. Holden has a lot
of conflicts that an everyday person would not encounter. I have never seen any 16 year old have to
deal with the problems he has had. He is at the weird age where he is becoming an adult but yet he
is still a child. Being 16 is a very awkward stage, most of the time people are very indecisive just
like Holden. They react in their own way not like a child but not like an adult either. He has his
ways but usually it is the wrong way. He is very immature for 16 but yet... Show more content on

I come by this because he wears a red hunting hat in the middle of Manhattan and asking cab
drivers about ducks and ponds. It would seem that he likes the innocents of childhood and doesn
t want other kids to get older and have to see the world for what he thinks it is. Like he says here
all he wants is for kids to be kids not have to go into the adult world which would be like them
going off of the cliff like is says in the quote, he is in the limbo between childhood and adulthood.
Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all.
Thousands of little kids, and nobody s around nobody big, I mean except me. And I m standing
on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over
the cliff I mean if they re running and they don t look where they re going I have to come out
from somewhere and catch them. That s all I d do all day. I d just be the catcher in the rye and all.

50. The American Dream In Jon Krakauer s Chris Mccandless
Behind the ideology of every person proud to be an American lies the major tenets of the
quintessential American dream. The America seen today is not the same as it was 50 years prior,
so how can one expect the central dream to be the same? In fact, each person has developed an
opinion on what the American dream may mean for him/her. For one, the dream may still be the
white picket fence still life from so many years ago, but for another, it may be the accumulation of
riches and fame. In Jon Krakauers Into the Wild, he shows us that Chris McCandless cared not for
the quotidian rat race that he had grown so accustomed to, but more about the intricacies that the
natural world had to offer. I believe that although Chris McCandless may... Show more content on

[Chris] was so enthralled by [Jack London s] tales, however, that he seemed to forget they were
works of fiction, constructions of the imagination that had more to do with London s romantic
sensibilities than with the actualities of life in the subarctic wilderness (44). In Ralph Waldo
Emerson s Nature, another writer whom Chris revered, he states In the woods, we return to reason
and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life.... which nature cannot repair. From these
authors, Chris developed his American dream ‒ so disparate from that of his parents. His dream
was to see the world in all its pure magnificence and to relish in the incredible freedoms and
opportunities granted to all Americans.
Also, though, it is hard to say if Chris truly developed this dream of self discovery through nature
and opportunity to truly better himself, or if all of it was to spite his father and take his teenage
rebellion to a level that would eventually prove fatal. The lines become slightly blurred. Did
Chris indeed obtain his dream, or did he die in a vain attempt to get back at his parents for lying
to him? I believe there are a few instances that show that what Chris was after was fulfilling to
him. It is the experiences, the memories, the great triumphant joy of living to the fullest extent in
which real meaning is found (37). This journey to him was profoundly living. His restrictive life
would no longer confine him. He felt he was not free in

52. Dish Strategic Management
Introduction
If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail. Many people commonly use this phrase and in a business,
this phrase couldn t be truer. Having a plan is crucial, but just having a plan will not due. This is
where strategic management comes in. Many businesses use strategic management and in this
paper we will use the company Dish as our example. Strategic management involves both the
formulation and implementation of a plan. Implementation is an essential part of the strategic
planning process because having a plan without actually putting it into action is pointless. The
successful implementation of the strategic management plan in a large corporation like Dish is
highly reliant on measurement and evaluation efforts during and after the implementation phase.
In this essay, I will review strategies Dish used that were not successful as well as ones that were.
I will also discuss barriers that might have interfered with the success of some strategies and the
type of strategic evaluation efforts I think are necessary to keep an eye on progress. Finally, I will
talk about how measurement of implementation processes and the evaluation process helps assure
future success for Dish.
Good and Bad Strategy Examples

removed from Dish s calling list, but they were not, even though they had been told they had

this case to court. In this case, a federal judge in Illinios deemed Dish Network liable for
57,606,609 illegal telemarketing calls (Fair, 2015). A case like this leaves a company with a bad
mark and ruins their reputation. Dish is now known by some people, as a company who hounds and

Calls for more gun control came after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown,
Connecticut where 20 school students and 6 adults were killed by a man with an assault rifle
(Cary). Soon after the school massacre, President Obama proposed a ban assault rifles and high
capacity magazines and make background checks tougher (Cary). A protest movement called
Guns Across America was the pro gun response in January 2013 to the wave of calls for more gun
control (Weissert). I would take the poster to a Guns Across America event at the Texas State
capital. With my poster, I m protesting any action from the government which will control and

Any debate on crime needs to focus on crime prevention and not the guns of law abiding citizens.
Controlling guns is not a crime prevention strategy, it only prevents the those who are physically
weaker than their attackers like women, elderly, and disabled from defending themselves
against bigger, faster and stronger aggressors. Since crime and gun control are serious issues,I
used a white poster board for a simple background and red and black permanent markers to
convey that seriousness. Since the words crimes and criminals go to together and are central to
my argument, I made them both bold, in all caps, and in red so they are the most eye catching.
Red is also associated with blood, so by making criminals red instead of guns I m also indicating
what really causes people to bleed; other people. The the first and last phrases are where I set up
my argument and draw my conclusions, so they are important and therefore bold as well. The
first three checklist options are for comparison only and are not as central to my argument so
they are not in bold letters. I am trying to reach and convince people who don t agree with me,
are unsure about the issue, don t have strong feeling about it, and especially those who don t
understand the issue. By using a checklist, I m trying to explain the core of the issue and my
position on it as simply and as clearly as possible. Even if someone has never thought much about
the issue or has not considered my side of it,
