The Iphone Of The Smartphone Market
Throughout this essay I will explain why I believe that over time the smartphone market will
become much more focused on the platform of which the devices are built around and less focused
on the actual hardware of the phones. I will be explaining these points based on my understanding
of economics thus far in my studies as well as researching to find points to support my arguments I
put forward throughout the essay. The smartphone market is currently being dominated by many
firms making this a monopolistic competitive market. The market became very popular in 2007
when Apple who, in August 2015, was recorded with a market share of 13.9% (IDC: Smartphone
vendor market share) brought out the iPhone. Apples biggest rival is Samsung and Samsung was
recorded with a market share of 21.4% at the same time who currently is the leader of the
worldwide market. Google created the Androidoperating system (OS) in which Samsung currently
uses. However, Samsung is not the only firm that uses Android OS as the platform for their
smartphones, Google provides the operating system to other firms such as LG, HTC and
Motorola. The reason I believe that the smartphone market is beginning to focus more on
software than hardware is because Apples (iOS) and Google s (Androis OS) software s today both
have a great deal of product differentiation, there are several features and applications accessible on
iPhones iOS that are not accessible on Androids software. This has meant that over the years,

Black Belt Interview Essay
Julie: Hello, and welcome to Black Belt Interviews which will be in Black Belt Magazine. I am
Julie Smith and today we have special guest Ed Parker. Mr. Parker has created a style called
Kenpo Karate which belongs to the American system. Mr. Parker is fondly called as Father of
American Kenpo . It is very obvious that many people look up to Mr. Parker as a great martial
artist. Today, we are here to ask him about his inspiration and reasons for creating this style of
martial arts.
Mr. Parker: Thank you Julie. I decided to create this style of martial arts because I have lately been
noticing that the martial arts that were created many years ago, are not being adapted to the present
world. I have lately been seeing many problems with this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

However, American Kenpo is now known internationally. How did Mr. Parker: You are correct
in saying that when I first created American Kenpo, I was never seeking for it to become so
popular. I did want to spread the word about Kenpo however, and I was able to do this by
teaching many famous people such as Elvis Presley and Bruce Lee. Elvis and I are actually very
close friends and he has always assisted me in making American Kenpo popular. With Elvis being
such a famous musician, he often performed in front of an audience. Whenever he was performing,
he played a guitar that had the Kenpo Karate patch on it. By doing so, many audience members
consulted him about the patch and in doing so he led them to me. I was also the one who was
able to get Bruce Lee into the acting world. Bruce and I met through one of my friends. From the
second that Bruce showed me a couple of moves, it was obvious that he had the potential to be a
great martial artist. Bruce also shared his desire to be an actor and asked for my assistance. I
asked him to perform at the very first International Karate Championships and I videotaped him
while he was performing. With his permission, I shared the video with a few directors who were
searching for an action star. After Bruce s first onscreen performance, he became a big hit. Bruce
and I are still very close friends and have several discussions about martial artists. Bruce

The Effects of Bad Parenting in As I Lay Dying by William...
How does a child feel when their parents conceive destructive values and manipulative
connotations? To any child a parent is the person that they look up to and in most cases look for
encouragement. However, some parents tend to value destruction and their own self gain more
than the life of their child. Both William Faulkner s As I Lay Dying and Toni Morrisons The Bluest
Eyedemonstrating a principle that when parents are bound to their twisted, manipulative, and even
immoral values that their children will ultimately be the ones to pay the price as they either
embrace the similar hollow values themselves or set out to fulfill their own desires through often
times self destructive means. In As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner... Show more content on

. . Not a mouthful. I ll kill him first. Don t you never think it. Don t you never (745). Anse also
says, For fifteen years I aint had a tooth in my head (767). Thus saying that Jewel does not care
about Anse s needs. Jewel only cares about his needs and wants. Whereas, Anse only cares about
what he is going to get, not what Jewel wants. The same can be said for The Bluest Eye where it
is explained that, The lived there because they were poor and black, and they stayed there
because they believed they were ugly (36). Where the Breedloves live is considered ugly , thus
creating a destructive and negative value, which the children soon pick up on. Pecola for
example, knows that they live in a place that is considered to be ugly by her parents, so she feels
she is ugly and worthless. Parents sometimes manipulate their children to their whim, and in
doing so damage their family. Anse Bundren treated his children like farm equipment. For
example, he ignored Cash s broken leg, left Dewey Dell to deal with her pregnancy by herself,
robbed Jewel of his only treasure, and ultimately put Darl in a mental institution. His primary
goal is to get to town to find a new wife for example Kate says, Or if it aint her, he ll get another
one before contton picking (709). To me this is more damaging because Addie is not dead yet, and
they are already discussing the fact that Anse will find another one before too long. In The Bluest

New Patriots Research Paper
The New England Patriots once again had a busy NFL Draft, which included multiple draft pick
trades, and preemptive moves that moved their draft picks around. At the end of the day, the
team picked four players in the draft, while also acquiring tight end James O Shaughnessy from
the Kansas City Chiefs. Over the years, head coach Bill Belichick has done very well, when it
comes to drafting in the later rounds. This year was no different as he was able to address both
the offensive and defensive lines. Let s take a look at what each pick will bring to the team. 3rd
round (83rd overall) Derek Rivers, DE, Youngstown State: Rivers is a 6 4 defensive end
/linebacker hybrid who excelled in the FCS under head coach Bo Pelini. A late bloomer, Rivers
made a huge jump his junior year, before dominating the FCS this past season as a senior
opposite Avery Moss, a fifth round draft pick of the New York Giants. In his senior season,
Rivers finished with 58 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks. Perhaps his greatest
strength is his versatility in rushing the passer. Rivers fills the prototypical Patriots hybrid pass
rusher that players like Rob Ninkovich and Trey Flowers have dominated in. Rivers will compete
with Geneo Grissom, Lawrence Guy and fellow draft pick Deatrich Wise for playing time in a
backup role.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are a lot of things to like when it comes to Garcia, including his quick feet and tremendous
athleticism. However, he is a work in progress, and needs to cut down on penalties in order to
have a big role with the Patriots. Garcia could conceivably beat out players like LaAdrian Waddle
and Cameron Fleming for playing time, although his left tackle potential would slot him behind
Nate Solder. If the little things are corrected, he could be a third round

The Ungoing Algerian War Fought between France and the...
Algerian War The Algerian War is an ongoing war being fought between the state of France and
Algerian independence movements. Background In 1830 the French invaded and captured Algiers,
the invasion resulting in considerable bloodshed. Between 1830 and 1872 the indigenous Algerian
population declined by a third due to a combination of violence and disease epidemics. French
policy was predicated on civilizing the country and Algeria s social fabric suffered during the
occupation. Since 1848 the French have administered Algeria as an integral part and dГ©partement
of the nation. Being one of France s longest held overseas territories, thousands of European
immigrants arrived in Algeria and came to be known as the Pied Noirs. These European settlers
benefited from the French government s confiscation of communal land from indigenous Algerians
and the application of modern farming techniques exponentially increased the agricultural output.
With the Algerian nationalist movement gaining momentum, in March 1943, Algerian leader
Mahmoud Abbas presented the French with the Manifesto of the Algerian People , demanding an
Algerian constitution guaranteeing immediate political participation and legal equality for
Muslims. In 1944 the French formulated a reforms based on the Viollette Plan of 1936 which
granted French citizenship to certain categories of meritorious Algerian Muslims. On May 8, 1945,
while France celebrated Victory in Europe Day, Muslim protesters in SГ©tif organized

Paper Towns Sparknotes
In the book Paper Towns Quentin, Ben, Radar, and Lacy decide to go on a road trip to New
York because they know that Margo is in Agloe, New York. Quinten remembered that the last
clue he had about Margo was that she was in New York in a place like Paper town. When Radar
searched up New York s map on Omnictionary they were surprised to see that they are was a
fictitious village created by the Esso company in the early 1930s and inserted into tourist maps as a
copyright trap, or papertown. Radar was most surprised because he created Omnictionary and did
not know about. However, the population of Aloe was one and it will stayone until May 29th. They

Quinten releases that this day is very important for him he takes the bus back to Orlando. After
arriving he rushes gets dressed and heads over to prom.
In conclusion we can say that the book is always better than the movie. Paper towns had a many ups
and downs in the book and movie. But my favourite was the book because it had many parts
which had a lot of suspense to it but the movie was not so suspenseful it was more
straightforward. In the bookit gave us many chances to guess all the mystery that were in the book
but in the movie they would already give you the picturewaysuspence to it. In the book it had more

Psychological Contract in the 21st Century
What is the psychological contract? Examine to what extent it is applicable in the 21st century.

Psychological Contract is an abstract contract that affects both employers and employees, a subtle
contract without speaking or writing, contains assumptions and expectations from each party
towards the other (Rousseau 1989). Compared to the past centuries, people tend to change jobs
frequently and pay more attention to employees rights. It is a critical element in human resource

Joe, M.C.et al. (2011) demonstrated that employees would engage more organizational undesirable
behaviors when they noticed the mutual exchange relationship has changed or disrupted. In
addition, a series of problems would come while there is a psychological contract breach in the
company.
Psychological contracts affect companies on both positive and negative sides. It is true that
companies focus on building good psychological contracts between employers and employees by
developing their strategic training practices to fulfill their goals successfully. On the contrary, Sim
(1994) stated in his research that,
A balanced psychological contract is necessary for a continuing, harmonious relationship between
the employee and the organization. However, the violation of the psychological contract can signal
to the participants that the parties no longer share пј€
or have never sharedпј‰a common set of
values or goals.
From what he suggested, the negative effect is a tough problem when the contract breaks.
However, as Conway, N.et al. (2011:267) notes The greater effects of breach on employment
outcomes would be an effectively help if that could be in advance noticed and paid attention to. It
might lead to an outstanding fulfillment. Therefore, psychological contract should be continue to
improve and develop in the 21st century.
This paper has defined the psychological contract as an abstract agreement without spoken or
written between employers

Descartes The Cartesian Method Of Doubt
The Cartesian method of doubt is a process in which one systematically considers all things
purported to be true and attempts to find a scenario in which they may be untrue. In Descartes own
words, the purpose of this method is to demolish everything completely and start again right from
the foundations . Indeed, by annihilating all which may be considered untrue, Descartes wishes to
reconstruct reality based only principles which are unconditionally true. I believe that Descartes is
correct in his methodology and successful in his attempts to demolish everything dubitable and start
again from the foundations. In support to Descartes method of doubt, I will consider the dreaming
argument. In opposition to Descartes method of doubt,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As previously stated, the purpose of the Cartesian method of doubt is to systematically doubt
everything which cannot be understood to be true with absolute certainty. Before we begin, we
must be clear on the definition of doubt from a Cartesian perspective, specifically, the distinction
between belief defeating doubts and justification defeating doubts . The Stanford Encyclopedia of
Philosophy explains the difference as follows [there are] two kinds of doubt, in terms of two kinds
of ways that doubt can defeat knowledge. Some doubts purport to undermine one s conviction or
belief call these belief defeating doubts . Other doubts purport to undermine one s justification
(whether or not they undermine belief) call these justification defeating doubts . Descartes method
of doubt requires justification defeating doubts, which means the justification for the belief in
question is dubitable, not necessarily the belief itself. This distinction is important when examining
the method of doubt, but even with this justification defeating requirement of dubitability in mind, it
does feel as if the method is asking a bit much. Descartes is essentially asking the reader to doubt

the book. Montag begins as a mindless follower and evolves into a fearless leader. As he grows

Everything that had happened that day boiled up inside him and he began to contemplate his
whole life. I m numb he thought. When did the numbness really began in my face? In my body?
The night I kicked the pill bottle in the dark, like kicking a buried mine, (Bradbury 73). In this
scene Montag realizes that he has no emotions. He had been avoiding feeling anything for so
long that he forgot what it felt like to feel. While Montag pushed himself into his work, as a
fireman, Millie got absorbed into a virtual world. Millie became obsessed with her family in the
walls because by focusing on their problems she could forget about her own. In our world today
new technology comes out everyday. With all this technology at our hands kids are spending
more time on their phones or playing video games then talking to friends or family. We now
have virtual reality goggles in which you can create your perfect life. This googles are just as
bad as the parlor walls, that Millie watches. We may not be burning books as the fireman did in
Fahrenheit 451 but we have forgotten about them which is just as bad. But we can change just if
we take time to look around and notice how bad our world has gotten because it s never too late.
Just as every great story and society must have a beginning everything must come to an end at
sometime. Will we end in a fiery death from global warming or take control of our lives as Montag
did and hang around as long

Essay on To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time by Robert...
The meaning of the first stanza is do the things you need to get done because tomorrow the
opportunity may not exist. It states this by saying gather rosebuds while you can because that
beautiful flower tomorrow will be dying (Herrick 385). The next stanza talks about the Sun s life
from dawn to dusk. By describing it s race against timeit is telling a person that there is not much
sunlight so make the most of it To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time

The second stanza tells about a glorious lamp of heaven , the sun, running a race from sunup to

have all the time to accomplish their goals but times still succeed the former , which simply means
time
Huffer 2 always wins and people are old before they know it (Herrick 385). The meaning and
theme of carpe diem is clearly described in the four stanzas of the poem. before it s gone. The
third stanza means simply that the times are best when people are young to realize their dreams
and do something about it instead of wasting time. Have as much fun as you can while you are a
kid and do as much as you can when you are a teenager and most importantly live everyday to
your highest expectations. The way I comprehended Herrick s ways of portraying the poem with
images and what it means tells how it makes me feel.
I really like this poem because it makes me want to get out of bed in the morning or turn off the
television and do something productive like read a book, or go to the gym. It perfectly reveals
the true meaning of carpe diem. The very first sentence alone tells me to get things done while I
can. Now when I think of To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time , it will remind me of carpe
diem, which will make me want to make every minute of my day account for something good

Difference Between Service Quality And Customer Satisfaction
Introduction:
Service quality represents a fundamental aspect of delivery, which strongly influences consumer
satisfaction and, as a result, loyalty. In today s global market a customer s service expectation has
to be met and exceeded eventually in order to retain customers as well as achieve success.
Perceived quality of a product or a service is becoming one of the major competitive factors in the
business world and has led to the innovation of the Quality Era (Peeler, 1996). In simple words, the
comparison of customer expectations with service performance is service quality. On the other
hand, customer satisfaction is defined as a pleasurable fulfilment response toward a good, service,
benefit, or reward (Oliver, 1997). Both of these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sureshchandra, Rajendran and Anantharaman (2002) identified five critical aspects of service
quality from the customers point of view namely core service/service product, human element of

responsibility in order to conceptualise service quality. Table 1 will further provide an explanation
to the five critical aspects of service quality as outlined by Sureshchandra et al (2002).

1.Core service or Service productBasically means the content of a service.
2.Human element of service deliveryRefers to all aspects that fall under the domain of human

The lesson I learned from the assignment was to make sure to be prepared before going up to

to make sure you are prepared in meetings and conference calls in order to conduct business. If I

thing to do. What I learned from our reading in chapter two this week is that good listeners are
liked by others because they satisfy the basic human needs of being heard. The listening factor for
this assignment was listening for information in search of facts about the questions that I was

Effects Of Mongol Rule On China
In breaking down the causations and effects of the Mongols regarding their rule on China during
1200 1500, one can see these include the implementation of governing philosophies of elected
officials that shaped Chinese culture, the influence of tax farming systems on China s economy,
and the influence of trade on social hierarchies. An example of an impact by the Mongols on
Chinese rule is the negative influences of tax farming on Chinese economy. Another example of a
causation of Mongol rule on Chinais the of tax farming systems in order to improve revenue in the
area.
China during Mongol domination, incorporated philosophy and organization into the government,
which helped it shape their cultural and political outlook. An example of an impact of Mongol rule
on China s government is their use of provinces to organize China s cities, specifically with Yunnan.
The Mongols used provinces to systemize the government and appointed governors to each district,
where that governor would take care of the taxes. The reason for this method of organization is that
the Mongols trusted foreigners more than the Chinese, so they appointed their tasks to foreigners
such as the governor of Yunnan. The governor of Yunnan didn t have any major positions, but he
helped develop the trade in his region and promoted Confucian belief which along with the
provincial organization shaped China. An example of a causation for the incorporation of
Confucian belief in government was due to the Mongols

Female roles in fifth business Essay

Robertson Davies: Fifth Business
Dorothy L. Sayers states Wherever you find a great man, you will find a great mother or a great
wife standing behind him. Man is a societal construct that is structured and molded by maternal
influences and female insight. Typically one is a product of its environment, however Robertson
Davies in Fifth Business, deliberately uses female roles to display the impact that women have on
the psychological growth of a man. Davies chronologically traces the psyche of Dunstan Ramsay as
he matures with the guidance of significant female characters in his life. In Fifth Business,
Robertson Davies uses the characterization of Mrs. Ramsay, Diana ... Show more content on

Secondly, Diana Marfleet plays a significant role in the novel as Dunny s first meaningful and
realistic love, and a second maternal female in Dunny s life. Diana nursed Dunny back to life,
after he was nearly left to die in the war. Diana is characterized as Dunny s second mother, as she
brings him back to life, re teaches him the essentials of life, and renames him, Dunstan. Diana
catalyzes Dunstan s maturing process, as she initiated him into the world of manhood, sexually, and
mentally as he began to form his own decisions. Moreover, to complete his transformation she
decides that he should change his name to Dunstan, which mentally gives him the psychological
ambition to complete and realize his transformation into a new person in stating I liked the idea of
a new name; it suggested new freedom and new personality (Davies 90). Distinctly, being with
Diana has made him think about himself for once in life and made him realize that he loves her
unconditionally, however, Dunstan states she was too much of a mother to me. (Davies 81). This
motherly attraction to Diana drives Dunstan away from her, as he knows that their relationship
could not have lasted.
Finally, throughout the novel, Mary Dempster has an impactful role in the growth of Dunstan
Ramsay. Mary teaches Dunny to disregard the moral rules of society, and to behave in a manner
that is unselfish and for the betterment of others. Dunny admires Mary

Informative Essay About Ice Hockey
Ice hockey is more than just a game. To be in ice hockey you need to be a family not just a team.
You need to work and train harder than everyone thinks. Especially if you re an olympic player.
You also need to focus on the team not just yourself since it is a team sport. Hockey is judged
and doubted, everyone assumes it is a lot easier than it looks. You have to be skating as fast as
you can on slippery ice on thin blades, while you are wearing extra gear to protect you and
holding a stick focusing on getting a small puck into a net. You have to worry about other people
trying to get the puck and getting around the goalie. This is the story of ice hockey. Ice hockey is a
fast moving and exciting team sport. It is also the oldest ball game... Show more content on

The things that throws many people of about them is that they are twins! You also have to think
about how not many sisters play on olympic teams together let alone these twins, but it is easy
enough seen when these twin sisters are headed off to other countries to do what they love to
do. These sisters will be at Pyeongchang for the 2018 olympic games. Jocelyne states that, When
we get the opportunity to be on the ice together, there s a chemistry that just never goes away,
also said by Jocelyne, It s always there. So whenever we have an opportunity to have a couple
shifts together or if we re ever put on a unit or line together, it s always there. And we ve pushed
each other every day whether it s workouts, during on ice training, it s just that accountability that
we ve always had growing up. Another thing that is changing is rules and how things are done from
NHL to olympic teams and games.(http://www.nbcolympics.com)
In olympic hockey games, if you tie, you go into a ten minute playoff game. If you are still tied
after those ten minutes, you go into a sudden death shootout. If it is still tied after three shootouts,
the team then can pick their shooters. Olympic hockey games allow 20 skaters and two goalies
on each team. Also if a penalty is called the coach gets to pick the player that shoots the shot. If
you start a fight in olympic ice hockey you will not just be

If a pulse was measured and recorded as student 1 s results, the same person is to be used again as
student 1, or therefore results would be inaccurate. If it were to be two different people being
measured for student 1 s results column, results would be inaccurate because two people may have
different pulses, breathing rates and carbon dioxide productions. One person may be more calm, or
more energetic than the other, and those factors would give uneven results. There was not enough
time to complete the full investigation, therefore results for table 3, the carbon dioxide production,
was taken from another group. This has affected data, making it inaccurate, because these results
were measured on other group members. Another factor that could have affected this investigation
is the exercise type. The same exercise is to be completed by all members of the group throughout
the whole investigation. If one member was to do 1 minute of simple star jumps, while another
chose to do sprints, that would affect the the results, because more intensity would of been put into
sprinting than star jumps, and that person would have a more increased function, making the

I believe that all people are meant to do something special and that everyone has a talent or a
knack for something where they can be extraordinary. The key is to find it and embrace it. Its a
sad thing to see so many people muddle through their lives just living to work, putting in their
time and doing just enough to get by and making just enough to survive. So many people go
through life and never find that one thing that moves them, that inspires them and gives meaning
to their career. Other times I see people that do have a passion for something but are just to afraid
to go after it. They are afraid to fail or that they won t be able to support themselves if they
follow their dreams. That fear hangs over them for a long time before they finally let their dream
be extinguished and then just live a life of regret. Most people never regret the risks they take in

Study Group Conformity
Conformity is the way that most people do in accordance to their behavior in their society
(Conformity 1). Group Conformity is the way that human beings are affected by the behavior of
others around them. The first experiment that studied group conformity was performed by Jenness
in 1932 (Conformity 4). Following this experiment many more were performed such as The
Stanford County Prison Experiment, Solomon Asch Experiment, Candid Camera Elevator
Experiment, The Milgram Experiment, and the Bystander effect (Reyes). Just like there are many
different types of experiments, there are also many different types of conformity compliance,
internalisation, identification and ingratiational (Conformity). This paper will go over some of the
many experiments... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This experiment was first designed to investigate how people would conform to the roles of
guard and prisoner in a role playing exercise that simulated prison life (Mcleod 1). Zimbardo was
interested in learning about whether the brutality in the prisons was because of the behavior of
the guards towards the prisoners or if it was because of the prison environment. He beginned his
experiment by placing an ad in the newspaper calling out for males that were willing to be part
of the experiment, 70 individuals answered the ad. Every individual had to go through a
background check to check for mental issues or past drug or alcohol use. In the end only 24
students were chosen (McLeod). The prisoners were treated just like they would be treated at a
your average prison. Half of the 24 students that were selected were prisoners and the other half
were the guards. The guards had no specific direction as to how to treat the prisoners, Guards
were instructed to do whatever they thought was necessary to maintain law and order in the
prison and to command the respect of the prisoners. No physical violence was permitted Mcleod
11). As the days went on the prison began to seem and become more like a real life one was. The
guards began to become more aggressive in order to maintain control over the inmates. Some of
the prisoners began to show early signs of depression by the third day. Although the experiment
was supposed to go on for a longer period of time, it had to be cancelled on the sixth day. This
concluded that People will readily conform to the social roles they are expected to play, especially
if the roles are as strongly stereotyped as those of the prison guards (Mcleod

Opposing Viewpoints on The LordВґs Supper of Luther and...
The ceremony of the Lord s Supper at Marburg in 1529 triggered numerous heartless debates
amongst two protagonists Luther and Zwingli. Throughout the Reformation era, debates played an
important role, as they were a main mechanism in familiarizing the Reformation into countless
towns. Debates were a means of resolving differences amongst like minded Protestant groups.
Landgrave Philip of Hesse had summoned the Hessian Chancellor Feige to send for both Luther
and Zwingli for the express and urgent purpose of settling their dispute over the Lord s Supper.
Therefore, the purpose of this debate was to solve the dispute over how Luther and Zwingli saw
the sacrament of the Lord s Supper.

433). The opinions of Luther and Zwingli were neither new nor sacrilegious, but were based on
belief and the Scripture.
After Oecolampadius spoke, Zwingli said the Lord s Supper must be symbolic. It is ever
apparent and even required by the article of faith: taken up into heaven, seated at the right hand
of the Father (p. 433). It is ridiculous to search for him in the Lord s Supper the identical time in
which Christ is telling individuals that he is located in heaven. One and the identical body cannot
be in dissimilar locations. Zwingli stated they call upon Luther to provide glory to God as well as
to stop begging the query. Zwingli questioned the proof of Luther s position as Zwingli willingly
contemplates the words Luther says extremely carefully. He knew Luther was trying to outwit him.
At this point Zwingli stands by the sixth chapter of John, verse 63, and says that he will not be
shaken from it.
Due to the excerpt from the vivacious and often brutal debate between Zwingli and Luther, I believe
that the Reformation debates led to further hostility rather than compromise and unity between
religious and sectarian opponents. I mainly believe that due to this debate being frequently brutal.
There was only one major implication that this caused for the future of the Protestant Reformation.
That one major implication was that debates continued to be brutal and

What Are The Benefits Of Raising The Driving Age To Drive...
Too Young to Drive
The other night I received a call in the middle of the night from my best friend. Her older
brother, Vijay had been in a terrible car accident, and even though the doctors said he would live,
it was going to be a long and painful recovery. Vijay is 16 years old, and like most kids his age
had eagerly awaited being old enough to get his driver s license. At the time of the accident, two
of Vijay s friends were passengers in his car. The friends admitted that they had been changing the
radio station and goofing around while Vijay was driving, and that he may have been distracted
when he veered into oncoming traffic. This car accident is proof that driving and minors do not
mix. Raising the legal driving age to 18 will save lives.
Statistics show the potential for danger every time a teenager gets behind the wheel. According
to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), car crashes are the leading cause of
death for teens in the United States. In fact, drivers between the ages of 16 and 19 are three times
more likely to be in a deadly car crash than older drivers. In 2010, seven teenagers between the

THE SENSES
Hilgard morgan and Sartain explain that there are more than eight senses that we use to explore and
learn about the world. Each of these senses has a specific sense organ within which are receptor
cells or receiving mechanisms that are sensitive to certain stimuli in the environment.
The Eye Is the organ of vision, is sometimes compared to a camera lens because it works roughly
the same way as the latter which focuses images of objects at various distances o the film as it
moves toward or away from the place of the film.
The lens of the eye focuses light images on a sensitive surface. This surface in the eye is the
retina, which is composed of rods and cones.

Hilgard says that the insects and some higher animals secrete chemicals known as pheromones that
float through the air to attract members of the species. These chemicals serve a communicative
function.
The skin There are four skin or cutaneous senses:pressure, pain, warmth, and cold. The sense organs
for the cutaneous senses are very small free nerve endings in the skin. When they are
stimulated, nerve impulses are tripped off and they travel to the spinal cord and brain. These
receptor organs are not equally distributed in the skin. From a numbe of studies,it is noted that pain
spots are generally most numerous.Next most numerous are the pressure spots.A much smaller
number of spots for cold have been found, while the least numerous are the warmth spots. Another
finding is that sensitive spots do not seem to be stable. There is difficulty encountered in stimulating
exactly the same small spot that was touched before the second time.it could be included that
different areas of the skin have different sensitivities to the four basic qualities of
pain,pressure,cold,and warmth.
Our cutaneous senses are said to be our reality senses such that when we feel something with our
skin,we are convinced that something is really

Fahrenheit 451 Quote Analysis
In Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury shows us that this book is described as a totalitarian dystopian
story. In the beginning of the book he explains the hatred that is held by the people against
books and he carries out this theme throughout the whole story. By stating So now you see why
books are hated and feared? They show the pores in the face of life. The comfortable people want
only wax moon faces, poreless, hairless, expressionless (Bradbury 83). This quote is stating that
the government is taking control over people by taking the little things, such as books, that
provide mankind with information on a day to day basis, making it easy for the people s minds to
grow and become more educated. Within the quote that is used, Bradbury uses imagry when he

The Cultural Diversity Self Assessment
Nursing continues to strive towards excellence in delivering culturally competent healthcare.
Through this journey of excellence, improvements can be made by continued education and
awareness. Awareness of areas I need growth in builds on my existing knowledge and skills. In
this paper, I will identify areas of weaknesses and strengths in my cultural competency skills as
well as strategies that will improve my transcultural nursing care. I have identified these areas
using the Cultural Diversity Self Assessment. Achieving a total score of 104, this tool has allowed
me to target my weaknesses and create a plan to increase my competence in those areas. I have also
been able to identify my strengths in cultural competence.
The self assessment tool specially evaluated my personal culturally competent abilities. Two areas
of weaknesses I targeted are as follows:
1.The appreciation of other cultures and honoring their holidays and events.
2.I believe there are policies and practices in place that negatively impact people outside the
majority culture.
I regard my own culture as the correct and moral way of life. These pervasive beliefs led to the

Summary Of Dandelion Wine
An excerpt from the book, Dandelion Wine , was written by Ray Bradbury and published in
1957. The story takes place in the small town of Green Town where a serial killer, The Lonely
One, remains at large. The main character, Lavinia Nebbs and her friends try to cope with the
discovery of Elizabeth Ramsell s body on their way to see a Charlie Chaplin film. Lavinia
appears to be the only one not shaken up by the horrible news, and after finding out that a
conspicuous man is inquisitive about Lavinia, the ladies appear to be on edge. Lavinia struggles to
control her fear at the very end of the story when she suspects that she is being followed by a
figure, and the story ends when she arrives home only to find that there is a man in her house. In
stressful situations, fear naturally changes the entire perspective of the situation, and is ultimately
inevitable. Dandelion Wineis best analyzed from the psychological approach because of how fear
altered the character s perspective which enhanced the setting of the story.
The ravine that runs through Green Town is an important geographical factor of the story since it
is the place where the Lonely One hid Elizabeth Ramsell s body. Ray Bradbury also uses the ravine
to echo Lavinia s perception of it before and after her fear of the Lonely One was revealed. On
page two is states, Lavinia looked and the ravine was a dynamo that never stopped running, night or
day; there was a great moving hum, a bumbling and murmuring of

Middle Childhood Observation Essay
For my middle childhood observation I chose a 10 year old female by the name of Mycah

A s. She is a very smart young girl. We will start off by comparing Mycah s physical development
to that of Berger s in the text. As documented in the text Unlike infants or adolescents, school age
children s growth is slow and steady. Self care is easy from brushing their new adult teeth to
dressing themselves, from making their own lunch to walking to school. In these middle years,
children depend less on their families and do not yet need to cope with the body changes and
impulses of adolescence. Muscles become steadily stronger. From my observation I... Show more

Children apply their new reasoning skills to concrete situations that is, situations with visible,
tangible, real things. Children become more systemic, objective, scientific and educable. One
logical concept is classification, the organization of things into groups according to some
characteristics that they share. An experiment that Piaget conducted to reveal a children s
understanding of classification is, and examiner shows a child a bunch of nine flowers seven yellow
daises and two white roses. The examiner makes sure the child knows the words flowers, daises,
and roses. Then comes the crucial: Are there more daises or more flowers? I conducted the same
experiment with Mycah and she answered there are more flowers. So it is to my findings that
Mycah has a clear understanding of classification. Lastly I will be comparing Mycah s psychosocial
development to that of Berger s accounts. As explained in the text, steady growth, brain maturation,
and intellectual advances make middle childhood a time when children gain independence and
autonomy. They acquire an increasing ability to regulate themselves, to take responsibility, and to
exercise self control all strengths that make this a period of positive growth. As I stated earlier in
my observation report I observed Mycah as being very independent, and capable of taking
responsibility for things. There is also a portion of the text where Berger discusses friendship and
social acceptance. I sat

Jumping Rope Advantages And Disadvantages
Though it is an effective cardiovascular exercise in itself, jumping rope also provides additional
fitness and athletic benefits, including improving your vertical jump. Along with improved
coordination and power, jumping rope engages the same muscles that are activated during a vertical
leap. If you are trying to add inches to your vertical movement, include jumpingrope in your
training.
Jumping rope helps your body acclimate to vertical movements. Most exercises propel you
forward, with occasional backwards and side to side movements. Besides climbing stairs, jumping
is the main movement that calls for you to work against gravity and travel vertically. Jumping rope,
along with other exercises that include a jumping element, such as squat jumps and box jumps,
helps to functionally strengthen your legs, core and upper body.

osteoporosis and other debilitating bone diseases.
If you are new to jumping rope, start to incorporate it as your warm up before you workout by
jumping at an easy pace for five to 10 minutes. As you build stamina, start to increase the duration
of your jump rope workout, building up to 20 to 30 minutes. During your workout, you can
practice intervals, where you jump at an easy pace for one minute followed by a sprint pace for
one minute. Play with your feet for more variation. Try jumping on one foot, alternating feet,
crisscrossing or jumping on your heels. The more challenge you create, the more benefits you will

Descriptive Essay About South Boston
10. South Boston
Known as one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, South Boston is placed on a peninsula that
extends into the Boston Harbor. It is linked to the rest of the city through a narrow strip of land.
Over the years, this strip of land has been gradually widened through landfill.
For over a century, South Boston has been one of the most populated neighborhoods in the city. In
the mid 1800s, it was the third most populous section of Boston. Over the year, new residential
subdivisions have developed in the neighborhood. Each new subdivision has a unique character and
architectural style. Telegraph Hill and Dorchester Heights were both created in the middle of the
19th century to house the city s growing population base.
Originally annexed by Boston in 1804, this neighborhood really started to thrive in the mid 19th
century when the Old Colony Railroad made reaching downtown Boston easy. Before long, it was a
center of industry with shipyards, iron foundries and machine shops popping up everywhere. Today,
industrial buildings can still be found on the northern side of the peninsula.
Modern South Boston has many long time residents as well as young professionals. With its easy
access to downtown, this area is popular among commuters. It boasts of a thriving nightlife scene
and open spaces. Miles of waterfront parks and beaches can be found at areas like L Street Beach,
Carson Beach, the Strandway and Pleasure Bay.

Satire In The Importance Of Being Earnest
The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde is a satirical play about the trivial values the
upper class held during the Victorian era. In this play, two men, Jack Worthing and Algernon
Moncrieff, choose to bend the rules and live a double life in order to break away from the
monotony of wealthy living. Algernon calls this Bunburying, and is an expert on what it means to
be a Bunburyist. Algernon freely lives his life by his own code of values.
One value Algernon holds is play time rather than family time. When it comes to socializing with
his family, he believes that to dine with one s relations once a week is sufficient enough (Wilde
1942). He says that his family is a dull bunch who haven t got the remotest knowledge of how to
live, nor the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To begin with, he finds absolutely no romance in proposing, as he claims it is very romantic to be
in love , but once the engagement is defined, then the excitement is over (Wilde 1939). Algernon
also claims that if he ever were to marry, he would hope to forget that he did (1939). By saying, A
man who marries without knowing Bunbury has a very tedious time of it, and in married life,
three is company and two is none (1942), he is implying that every marriage needs some sort of
escape, like an affair, in order to survive. This can be the result of the shallow expectations men and
women held for each other in the Victorian era, which locked them into incompatible, loveless
marriages (Schmidt).
Algernon Moncrieff s values are different than the other characters. The females of the play are
materialistic and eager to marry for superficial reasons like money and class. Algernon realizes
this and chooses to value himself by eating, drinking, and Bunbury[ing] all over Shropshire (Wilde
1941). In a way, Algernon is protecting himself from becoming trapped in a set up marriage, until
he naturally falls in love with Cecily Cardew in the

Money With Affiliate Marketing Online Essay
How to make money with affiliate marketing online is a topic that a lot of people come to Stuart
Ross with. Stuart is millionaire digital entrepreneur and co founder of the Six Figure Mentors
(SFM) and Digital Experts Academy (DEA), a Premier Business and Entrepreneur Online Education
Service and one of the fastest growing exclusive private communities on the internet today.
People tend to approach Stuart with a question like this, Stuart, I m thinking of getting started
online. I want to live the internet lifestyle. I want to create my digital empire, but I just don t
know what sort of products to create? What they re saying is that they ve been looking in the
market place and can see there s a variety of programs out there to make money with affiliate
marketing online.
The question is usually, Can you recommend any of the programs out there? or What types of
products shall I be selling? The mistake people often make when they first get started online is that
they look for affiliate programs that have the highest commission payouts or are quite low cost.
The reason for this is that they think that these are going to be the easiest products to sell because
of their low cost.
They then go and sign up to any old affiliate program and go out and start trying to make affiliate
commissions. The problem with this is that so often people are not that passionate or bothered
about the products they are selling. I will tell you this straight no course, training

The Pros And Cons Of Ida B. Wells
The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting Sun Tzu. Many of the famous
Civil Rights leaders would agree with this quote, but while there also leaders that wanted
violence. Many famous people of this time period had differing opinions on how to make the lives
of African Americans safer. The primary sources from Wells, Washington, Turner, Du Bois, and
Harper showed their separate opinions on how to better the lives of African Americans, and each
person had positives and negatives, but the alternative offered by Ida B. Wells would have caused
larger problems between the black and white communities. Two of the alternatives proposed were
considered radical and almost dangerous to the African Americancommunity. The first radical idea
was proposed by Ida B. Wells. She believed that the African American population needs to stand up
against the government to show that the lynching and unjust treatment in America is unfair. Wells
was famous for her boycotting of the railroads, and she wanted every household to have a gun just
in case of emergencies involving the white people. These ideas were very radical for the time
period because she wanted people to hurt others first, she famously states, The strong arm of the law
must be brought to bear upon lynchers in severe punishment, but this cannot and will not be done
unless a healthy public sentiment demands and sustains such action . Ida B. Wells had passionate
beliefs, but this would not be the best

  • 2. The Iphone Of The Smartphone Market Throughout this essay I will explain why I believe that over time the smartphone market will become much more focused on the platform of which the devices are built around and less focused on the actual hardware of the phones. I will be explaining these points based on my understanding of economics thus far in my studies as well as researching to find points to support my arguments I put forward throughout the essay. The smartphone market is currently being dominated by many firms making this a monopolistic competitive market. The market became very popular in 2007 when Apple who, in August 2015, was recorded with a market share of 13.9% (IDC: Smartphone vendor market share) brought out the iPhone. Apples biggest rival is Samsung and Samsung was recorded with a market share of 21.4% at the same time who currently is the leader of the worldwide market. Google created the Androidoperating system (OS) in which Samsung currently uses. However, Samsung is not the only firm that uses Android OS as the platform for their smartphones, Google provides the operating system to other firms such as LG, HTC and Motorola. The reason I believe that the smartphone market is beginning to focus more on software than hardware is because Apples (iOS) and Google s (Androis OS) software s today both have a great deal of product differentiation, there are several features and applications accessible on iPhones iOS that are not accessible on Androids software. Mr. Parker has created a style called Kenpo Karate which belongs to the American system. Mr. Parker is fondly called as Father of American Kenpo . It is very obvious that many people look up to Mr. Parker as a great martial artist. Today, we are here to ask him about his inspiration and reasons for creating this style of martial arts. How did Mr. Parker: You are correct in saying that when I first created American Kenpo, I was never seeking for it to become so popular. I did want to spread the word about Kenpo however, and I was able to do this by teaching many famous people such as Elvis Presley and Bruce Lee. Elvis and I are actually very close friends and he has always assisted me in making American Kenpo popular. With Elvis being such a famous musician, he often performed in front of an audience. Whenever he was performing, he played a guitar that had the Kenpo Karate patch on it. By doing so, many audience members consulted him about the patch and in doing so he led them to me. I was also the one who was able to get Bruce Lee into the acting world. Bruce and I met through one of my friends. From the second that Bruce showed me a couple of moves, it was obvious that he had the potential to be a great martial artist. Bruce also shared his desire to be an actor and asked for my assistance. I asked him to perform at the very first International Karate Championships and I videotaped him while he was performing. With his permission, I shared the video with a few directors who were searching for an action star. After Bruce s first onscreen performance, he became a big hit. To any child a parent is the person that they look up to and in most cases look for encouragement. However, some parents tend to value destruction and their own self gain more than the life of their child. Both William Faulkner s As I Lay Dying and Toni Morrisons The Bluest Eyedemonstrating a principle that when parents are bound to their twisted, manipulative, and even immoral values that their children will ultimately be the ones to pay the price as they either embrace the similar hollow values themselves or set out to fulfill their own desires through often times self destructive means. At the end of the day, the team picked four players in the draft, while also acquiring tight end James O Shaughnessy from the Kansas City Chiefs. Over the years, head coach Bill Belichick has done very well, when it comes to drafting in the later rounds. This year was no different as he was able to address both the offensive and defensive lines. Let s take a look at what each pick will bring to the team. 3rd round (83rd overall) Derek Rivers, DE, Youngstown State: Rivers is a 6 4 defensive end /linebacker hybrid who excelled in the FCS under head coach Bo Pelini. A late bloomer, Rivers made a huge jump his junior year, before dominating the FCS this past season as a senior opposite Avery Moss, a fifth round draft pick of the New York Giants. In his senior season, Rivers finished with 58 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks. Perhaps his greatest strength is his versatility in rushing the passer. Background In 1830 the French invaded and captured Algiers, the invasion resulting in considerable bloodshed. Between 1830 and 1872 the indigenous Algerian population declined by a third due to a combination of violence and disease epidemics. French policy was predicated on civilizing the country and Algeria s social fabric suffered during the occupation. Since 1848 the French have administered Algeria as an integral part and dГ©partement of the nation. Being one of France s longest held overseas territories, thousands of European immigrants arrived in Algeria and came to be known as the Pied Noirs. These European settlers benefited from the French government s confiscation of communal land from indigenous Algerians and the application of modern farming techniques exponentially increased the agricultural output. With the Algerian nationalist movement gaining momentum, in March 1943, Algerian leader Mahmoud Abbas presented the French with the Manifesto of the Algerian People , demanding an Algerian constitution guaranteeing immediate political participation and legal equality for Muslims. It is true that companies focus on building good psychological contracts between employers and employees by developing their strategic training practices to fulfill their goals successfully. On the contrary, Sim (1994) stated in his research that, A balanced psychological contract is necessary for a continuing, harmonious relationship between the employee and the organization. In Descartes own words, the purpose of this method is to demolish everything completely and start again right from the foundations . Indeed, by annihilating all which may be considered untrue, Descartes wishes to reconstruct reality based only principles which are unconditionally true. As previously stated, the purpose of the Cartesian method of doubt is to systematically doubt everything which cannot be understood to be true with absolute certainty. Before we begin, we must be clear on the definition of doubt from a Cartesian perspective, specifically, the distinction between belief defeating doubts and justification defeating doubts . The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy explains the difference as follows [there are] two kinds of doubt, in terms of two kinds of ways that doubt can defeat knowledge. Some doubts purport to undermine one s conviction or belief call these belief defeating doubts . Other doubts purport to undermine one s justification (whether or not they undermine belief) call these justification defeating doubts . Descartes method of doubt requires justification defeating doubts, which means the justification for the belief in question is dubitable, not necessarily the belief itself. This distinction is important when examining the method of doubt, but even with this justification defeating requirement of dubitability in mind, it does feel as if the method is asking a bit much. If it were to be two different people being measured for student 1 s results column, results would be inaccurate because two people may have different pulses, breathing rates and carbon dioxide productions. One person may be more calm, or more energetic than the other, and those factors would give uneven results. There was not enough time to complete the full investigation, therefore results for table 3, the carbon dioxide production, was taken from another group. This has affected data, making it inaccurate, because these results were measured on other group members. Another factor that could have affected this investigation is the exercise type. The same exercise is to be completed by all members of the group throughout the whole investigation. If one member was to do 1 minute of simple star jumps, while another chose to do sprints, that would affect the the results, because more intensity would of been put into sprinting than star jumps, and that person would have a more increased function, making the results somewhat

Following this experiment many more were performed such as The Stanford County Prison Experiment, Solomon Asch Experiment, Candid Camera Elevator Experiment, The Milgram Experiment, and the Bystander effect (Reyes). Zimbardo was interested in learning about whether the brutality in the prisons was because of the behavior of the guards towards the prisoners or if it was because of the prison environment. He beginned his experiment by placing an ad in the newspaper calling out for males that were willing to be part of the experiment, 70 individuals answered the ad. Every individual had to go through a background check to check for mental issues or past drug or alcohol use. In the end only 24 students were chosen (McLeod). The prisoners were treated just like they would be treated at a your average prison. Half of the 24 students that were selected were prisoners and the other half were the guards. The guards had no specific direction as to how to treat the prisoners, Guards were instructed to do whatever they thought was necessary to maintain law and order in the prison and to command the respect of the prisoners. No physical violence was permitted Mcleod 11). As the days went on the prison began to seem and become more like a real life one was. The guards began to become more aggressive in order to maintain control over the inmates. Some of the prisoners began to show early signs of depression by the third day. Although the experiment was supposed to go on for a longer period of time, it had to be cancelled on the sixth day. This concluded that People will readily conform to the social roles they are expected to play, especially if the roles are as strongly stereotyped as those of the prison guards (Mcleod ... The ceremony of the Lord s Supper at Marburg in 1529 triggered numerous heartless debates amongst two protagonists Luther and Zwingli. Throughout the Reformation era, debates played an important role, as they were a main mechanism in familiarizing the Reformation into countless towns. Debates were a means of resolving differences amongst like minded Protestant groups. Landgrave Philip of Hesse had summoned the Hessian Chancellor Feige to send for both Luther and Zwingli for the express and urgent purpose of settling their dispute over the Lord s Supper. After Oecolampadius spoke, Zwingli said the Lord s Supper must be symbolic. It is ever apparent and even required by the article of faith: taken up into heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father (p. 433). It is ridiculous to search for him in the Lord s Supper the identical time in which Christ is telling individuals that he is located in heaven. One and the identical body cannot be in dissimilar locations. Zwingli stated they call upon Luther to provide glory to God as well as to stop begging the query. Zwingli questioned the proof of Luther s position as Zwingli willingly contemplates the words Luther says extremely carefully. He knew Luther was trying to outwit him. At this point Zwingli stands by the sixth chapter of John, verse 63, and says that he will not be shaken from it. Due to the excerpt from the vivacious and often brutal debate between Zwingli and Luther, I believe that the Reformation debates led to further hostility rather than compromise and unity between religious and sectarian opponents. • 42. Summary Of Dandelion Wine An excerpt from the book, Dandelion Wine , was written by Ray Bradbury and published in 1957. The story takes place in the small town of Green Town where a serial killer, The Lonely One, remains at large. The main character, Lavinia Nebbs and her friends try to cope with the discovery of Elizabeth Ramsell s body on their way to see a Charlie Chaplin film. Lavinia appears to be the only one not shaken up by the horrible news, and after finding out that a conspicuous man is inquisitive about Lavinia, the ladies appear to be on edge. Lavinia struggles to control her fear at the very end of the story when she suspects that she is being followed by a figure, and the story ends when she arrives home only to find that there is a man in her house. In stressful situations, fear naturally changes the entire perspective of the situation, and is ultimately inevitable. Dandelion Wineis best analyzed from the psychological approach because of how fear altered the character s perspective which enhanced the setting of the story. The ravine that runs through Green Town is an important geographical factor of the story since it is the place where the Lonely One hid Elizabeth Ramsell s body. Ray Bradbury also uses the ravine to echo Lavinia s perception of it before and after her fear of the Lonely One was revealed. The examiner makes sure the child knows the words flowers, daises, and roses. Then comes the crucial: Are there more daises or more flowers? • 48. Satire In The Importance Of Being Earnest The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde is a satirical play about the trivial values the upper class held during the Victorian era. In this play, two men, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, choose to bend the rules and live a double life in order to break away from the monotony of wealthy living. Algernon calls this Bunburying, and is an expert on what it means to be a Bunburyist. Algernon freely lives his life by his own code of values. One value Algernon holds is play time rather than family time. When it comes to socializing with his family, he believes that to dine with one s relations once a week is sufficient enough (Wilde 1942). He says that his family is a dull bunch who haven t got the remotest knowledge of how to live, nor the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To begin with, he finds absolutely no romance in proposing, as he claims it is very romantic to be in love , but once the engagement is defined, then the excitement is over (Wilde 1939). Algernon also claims that if he ever were to marry, he would hope to forget that he did (1939). By saying, A man who marries without knowing Bunbury has a very tedious time of it, and in married life, three is company and two is none (1942), he is implying that every marriage needs some sort of escape, like an affair, in order to survive. This can be the result of the shallow expectations men and women held for each other in the Victorian era, which locked them into incompatible, loveless marriages (Schmidt). Algernon Moncrieff s values are different than the other characters. The females of the play are materialistic and eager to marry for superficial reasons like money and class. Algernon realizes this and chooses to value himself by eating, drinking, and Bunbury[ing] all over Shropshire (Wilde 1941). In a way, Algernon is protecting himself from becoming trapped in a set up marriage, until he naturally falls in love with Cecily Cardew in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
