Technology Is Too Invasive, Lacks Transparency, And Must...
As with any advancement, the rise of technology has its drawbacks. The internet has allowed the
creation of an industry based solely in gathering and selling mass amounts of user data. This data
collection is meant to improve and personalize a user s experience. But the amount of data collected
far exceeds the amount needed to accomplish this. And despite the size and pervasive nature of the
industry, the general public knows very little about what they do. Data collection online is too
invasive, lacks transparency, and must be restricted. For starters, the sheer amount of data collected is
absurd. Some of it is expected, such as names, email addresses, crash reports, and other basic pieces of
information. But many companies also drew from unexpected sources. Google collects data from
search queries, time and date of phone calls, length of phone calls, and even data on a user s precise
location (Google). And while a user may expect that Facebook collects data from everything they post,
they may be surprised to learn that Facebook also collects data on a user from posts by other people.
Facebook will even collect information on web activity outside of Facebook via third party partners
(Facebook). And they re hardly the only companies to do this. In fact, there are companies that exist
solely for this purpose. They are known as data brokers , and they gather much of their information
online. When the Federal Trade Commission did a report on nine major data brokers, they

How Did Bill Russell Contribute To Basketball
One player from NBA history changed the game of basketball forever. That one player was Bill
Russell. Bill Russell was at the time considered the best player to play in the NBA. He was a
phenomenal player and left his impact on the NBA. But he didn t get there just because he was tall. He
really shaped himself during his childhood that led to his career of basketball and his legacy on the
National Basketball Association. But it all started when Bill was born. Bill Russell was born February
12, 1934 in Monroe, Louisiana. His early childhood was shaped of poor health and battled different
illnesses(Biography.com Editors). When Russell was 10 his father was frustrated with trying to

he led the U.S. men s team to a gold medal in Melbourne Olympics. After winning the gold medal he
joined the 1956 NBA draft. The St. Louis Hawks drafted him but the Boston Celtics traded for him.
During that season the Celtics ended the season with the best regular season record. In his rookie
season he played 48 games and averaged 19.6 rebounds a game and 14.7 points per game. For the next
3 seasons he averaged close to 23 rebounds per game. Also in the 1959 postseason he averaged 27.7
rebounds a game(NBA.com Editors). Over thirteen years Russell went to twelve NBA finals to win
eleven of them. In 1966 Russell led the Celtics to their eighth consecutive title. The following season
their coach Red Auerbach resigned and Russell took over as a player coach. As a player coach he
steered his team to win two more titles in 1968 1969. His legacy still lives on to this day in NBA

Assesment of Level of English Proficiency
CHAPTER 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND Introduction Because English is so widely
spoken, it has often been referred to as a world language , the lingua franca of the modern era, and
while it is not an official language in most countries, it is currently the language most often taught as a
foreign language. English is widely spoken in the Philippines. It is used as the business language as
well as the medium of instruction in schools and universities. It is the language used by the people all
over the world in order to communicate to anyone. The Philippine educational setting is bilingual in
nature, thus the level of performance of public high school students towards English proficiency in
learning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, youth is now affected by this low proficiency. Sadly, some methods scare if not bore students or
fail to spark their enthusiasm that they end up sitting in the classroom simply staring at teachers who
do all the talking. The quality of education according to Dela Rosa (2000) has to start going up or we
can call the whole deal off. Government owes us the services of good teachers, especially language
mentors. The researcher, in her seven years of teaching the English language , is saddened by the
students lack of confidence in communicating in English. Many students prefer to keep quiet in class
for fear that when they speak, they might commit errors in grammar pronunciation, and that their
classmates might laugh at them. This is alarming most especially when a student is in an Oral
Communication class and the whole quarter slips away without a word from a very shy student. With
these, the researcher was motivated to assess the level of English proficiency of the grade 7 students at
Payapa National High School which she believes would be a great basis on designing an action plan in
order to further enhance the English proficiency among students. Conceptual Framework In an
attempt to validate the viewpoint that English

why? He stole my life, my childhood, my innocence. He dressed up as something he wasn t and

Cyrus I see her everywhere. I see her eyes in the back of my mind. I recall observing that pale, blue

May I please just pass...? I am detective Aurelia Price, and I am here to ask Mr. Brown some
questions.
She said.
I was rolling my eyes. She thinks she is going to get me to talk. Ha! The blue coats have been trying

Born To Run Analysis
In hopes of getting more likes, our society craves to post on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram about
how our life is on the road to success and happiness. Yes, that could be one of you. Acceptance and
love have been hard to come by nowadays. Bluntly put, our advanced society is a complete paradox to
what it aims to do keeping our mind, body, and spirit healthy. It seems that our advancement in the
systems of technology, health, justice, and everything in between has been causing more harm than
good. According to the non fiction text, Born to Run, McDougall describes how the Tarahumaras seem
to grasp the essence of our advanced societal problems with such simplicity. We believe our
knowledge is what perpetuates us forward, yet that knowledge ... Show more content on

This is best seen in McDougall s injury, such as being administered a cortisone shot to fix a patient s
foot with plantar fasciitis, and the high caliber doctors telling him to stop running to prevent knee
degeneration because he s just not cut out for it. Unfortunately, our knowledge based system has it
wrong. A lot of what our advanced society is teaching us is a contorted reality contrived on the basis
of our pride in science, our pride in medicine, and our pride in everything we do. We follow the
goddess of knowledge and believe those of credibility to be the only solution to our health problems.
When you step back and look at the big picture, we are nowhere near the achievements of the
Tarahumara. Although primal, the Tarahumara do not face the wrath that of an advanced society
incurs. Tarahumaras do not experience vast array of problems we do, such as obesity, plantar fasciitis,
knee pains, crime, theft, greed, drug addiction, child abuse, diabetes, depression, corruption, domestic
violence, and war (McDougall 14). We do! We certainly do because we build our society on
knowledge. Advancement in society is mostly manufactured on this tree of knowledge we call life,
and it drives us crazy. Knowledge deceives us from attaining true freedom in mind, body, and spirit.
Now the Tarahumaras, wow, do these guys have it

My Girl Book Vs Movie
Recently in class we watched a film my girl(1991) after we had read the book a small free kiss in the
dark. Both books had examples of hardship and courage which is the unit we have been working on in
class. Although the book had things that were the same in the movie, there were events that were
slightly different, but both characters went through hardship or displayed courage in the same way.
Courage being strength in the face of pain or grief.
Hardship being severe suffering or privation. So let s get to it then, these are three examples of
courage and hardship that is both in the movie and in the book.
For starters both had had a huge loss in their lives. The loss they had endured was the deaths of their
mothers. This loss affected the way I they thought, for example Vada in the movie continually thought
she was sick or was going to die. She also believed she had killed her mother. Skip from the book just
wondered what his mother was like, what did she looked like? He wished he had a photo ... Show

Although Skip endures a real war Vada has a war with herself. Vada also has verbal wars with girls
that bully her about her friend who is a boy. Vadas war with herself includes the fact she believe she is
constantly going to die or that she has a disease this is partly because she lives in a funeral parlor and
also the fact her mother died. Vada is picked on by girls because she has a friend who is a boy. Skips
war however is far more conflicted due to the fact he is part of a real war. The war strengthens Skip,
who becomes a leader who a teen parent Tia looks up to. Skip matures whilst being a big brother to a
lost boy, Max. The wars which both Skip and Vada went through strengthened theme of become
stronger and braver people than before. Vada also becomes closer with her father after the wars she
faces. Skip becomes closer with the old tramp Billy who acts like a father toward

Analysis Of The Book The Fugitive Essay
The Fugitive
One summer night Sara, Chad, Austin, Tristan, Autumn, Myles, Shelby, and I got together to find a
game to play. We met in Lincoln at South Pointe at Cold stone creamery. We headed to the mini golf
course but when we arrived the place was packed. So we stood in the parking lot trying to figure out
ideas. We were getting nowhere when Tristan says well we can play fugitive.
None of us had ever played it or even heard of such a game. He explained it was a game where we
have two people in a car trying to find the fugitives the fugitives start at one end of the town and the
cops would start at the other. There would be a designated place where if you made it without being
captured you won the game. So we decided Lincoln was too big to play it so we headed to our
hometown of Seward. We arrived at the ballfields and broke into four couples. Sara and Austin were
the cops and the rest of us were fugitives. They got in the burgandy van and drove to the other side of
town. Right when they were out of sight Chad and I sprinted as fast as we could to get a head start
over competition. I only made it about half a mile before I was keeled over out of breath but Chad,
who is in cross country, kept running and left me behind. Soon I was alone walking the streetlight lit
sidewalk trying to find my way to town square. As a girl walking alone always freaks me out
especially at night so I am extra aware of my surroundings. There are crickets chirping, wind is

Efficient Delivery Of Cancer
The efficient delivery of drugs and energy to tumors faces several difficulties and obstacles that need
to be overcome for effective cancer treatment. Nanoparticles administrated through intravenous
injections accumulate at a tumor site due to the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, but
only a small quantity of the injected particles can actually reach the tumor (Su et al, 2016). The
majority of the nanoparticles interact with cancer cells at the periphery of a tumor which presents a
physiological barrier that prevents most of the injected particles from reaching the tumor (Su et al,
2016). In addition to this barrier, there is also another significant obstacle, cancer associated
fibroblasts , which can also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This conglomerate composed of protein lipid, sponge like carbon, and reduced graphene oxide (rGO)
was administrated by the researchers to mice in order to study the material s ability to transport the
hydrophobic drug docetaxel (DTX) and perfluorohexane (PFH) for deep tumor penetration and
therapy (Su et al, 2016). The Lf lipo GNS composite is capable of carrying large amounts of drugs in
its pores which can be released through the absorption of light by the GNS. By applying near infrared
(NIR) irradiation, the gasification of PFH occurs due to an increase in local temperature in the
graphene nanosponge which as a result damages and ruptures tumor spheroids (Su et al, 2016).
Consequently, the combined effects of gasification and chemo and thermotherapy can substantially
reduce tumors and even completely eliminate them without future reappearance. The researchers
conducted a study on in vitro photolytic therapy on RG2 tumor spheroids incubated with the control
group (PBS only), Lf lipo US GNS/DTX, Lf lipo US GNS/DTX+NIR, and Lflipo US GNS/DTX
PFH+NIR (Su et al, 2016). Due to its tumor penetration ability, the researchers used 10 μg/mL of 40
nm Lf lipo US GNS to conduct the study. After the composite was administrated to the tumors, they
were allowed to incubate for 4 h followed by NIR irradiation with a power density of 2 W cm 2 for 10

Jim Hawkins Quotes In Treasure Island
Jim Hawkins is the main character in Treasure Island. Jim playes many roles including a spy, a cabin
boy, a son, and many others. He is very honest and loyal. For example, when he was held hstage at the
stockade, Dr. Livesey told him to run for the woods and escape, but he wouldn t do it because it wasn t
a honest thing to do. In the beggining of the book, Jim was just a shy boy who helped with the family
inn. Once his father dies, and him and his mother have to escape from pirates, he starts to gain his
bravery and courage. The story continues and he is faced with many challenges. As he works through
thease challenges, he becomes stronger, braver, and more confident. He becomes a great ali, and hero
to Captain Smollett and his men. Long John Silver is a strange character because at first he seems
good, and freindly, when actually he is planning a secret mutiny. Then once his plan is reaveled, he
actes cruel, and unforgiving. When in the end, he turns out to be loyal to captain Smollett. This makes
Silver interesting and unexpected. Silver is a natral leader. He is bold, outgoing, and always shares his
opinion. Even though he is tough and cruel on the outside, I think he does have a heart. He shows this
by caring for Jim, and wanting the best for him even if he doesn t like showing it. ... Show more

The Right To Freedom Of Freedom
The freedom of assembly and demonstration is pivotal to a democratic society due to the fact that
peaceful protest allows citizens to participate in democracy by being active in governmental affairs
through voicing their grievances and opinions in a peaceful manner. The right to freedom of assembly
guarantees the possibility of peaceful protest without government interference and allows those
protesting safety and security and also allows those protesting to make use of their right to freedom of
expression. The act of peaceful protest allows citizens to make their voices heard when they usually
would not be, for citizens to raise and draw attention to issues that concern them and to circumvent
traditional legal processes whilst putting pressure on the government so as to not allow them to
infringe upon their rights. This right allows those who are vulnerable and powerless to express their
concerns in the only way available to them in a way that was disallowed during the Apartheid era and
is therefore pivotal in the exercise of all other rights afforded to the citizens of South Africa in the
Constitution. The right to freedom of assembly only applies when this assembly is peaceful, without
weapons, destruction of property and violence and therefore internally regulates itself by limiting its
own scope. The act states that no participants of a gathering may have any dangerous weapon in their
possession; a dangerous weapon is defined as any object that is not a firearm but

Evelyn Nesbit s Ragtime
While there are many important messages in the play Ragtime, I believe the most important one is the
message about how women were treated unequally when compared to men and how this is still a
relevant theme in the world today. While there are major differences to how the female culture was in
the 1900s when compared to now, there are still unjust similarities. Throughout the story there are
female characters who represent the growth that women at that time were making however, this
growth is slow and I believe it is not yet finished even today.
Even though it may seem as though Evelyn Nesbit played an insignificant role in this play, she
represented much of the unequal treatment women. She represented a type of woman that was in
existence simply to entertain men, known everywhere as The girl on the velvet swing (Athrens 0). By
the end of the play, Evelyn was motivated by money and material which, in the end, was her downfall.
Her character represents the end of the era of women being considered objects, just as the feminist
movement was beginning. However, we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Furthermore, when people alter their behaviors, it sometimes becomes impossible to know when a
person is truly being themselves. This type of playing the part leads into the sociological theory
known as Dramaturgy. Dramaturgy was first theorized by Erving Goffman. Goffman believed that
people conduct themselves differently in different situations to appear in some way that is
advantageous, kind of like actors playing different characters in films. For instance, there was a group
of teenagers who were taking lots of pictures with each other. However, one boy was just off to the
side calmly looking at his friends. After a few minutes of this, his attitude completely changed, and he
jumped into one of the pictures with his friends and began taking more pictures. After they all took
pictures, they all left to another part of the mall, and this boy returned back to his calm self. This was a
perfect example of someone who was playing the part of appearing more social even though he may
not have actually felt that way. In addition, usually at in door stores and restaurants, dogs, or other

Effects Of Drm On Competition And Access
WRITING SAMPLE #1 THE EFFECTS OF DRM ON COMPETITION AND ACCESS TO
KNOWLEDGE IN THE E BOOK MARKET
It is no overstatement that the boom in digital reading has revolutionized the book industry. Although
ideas about electronic libraries date back to the 1970 s, the market took off in 2007 with the launch of
the Sony Reader and the Kindle. In 2013, e books already accounted for a quarter of adult trade sales,
bringing in $1.3 billion in revenue. This rapid growth can be attributed to how portable and
convenient e books are, as well as the utility of features like built in dictionaries. Moreover, e books
offer benefits in the form of greater accessibility and lower prices. They usually cost 30% less than
physical books, and public domain books can be found for free on platforms such as Project
Gutenberg. At the same time, e books also eliminate geographical barriers with Internet access, the
same book can be acquired by someone in London or in Bogota and downloaded in a matter of
seconds. Ultimately, these benefits are more than mere conveniences they serve as important tools for
disseminating information and spreading education.
Still, one factor undermines e books potential to promote access to knowledge: the use of digital rights
management (DRM). DRM is a technological lock that permits copyright owners to enforce their
rights by controlling what users can do with digital files. For example, DRM can be used to limit
when, where, for how many times, and for how long a

In The Distant Sacramento Land Of Gold Analysis
In the distant Sacramento, land of gold and fame, lived a young governor of about the age of 27. This
man lived in a mansion with his wife, two sons, and daughter. They stuck closely to tradition, living in
the capital of their state of California where their government functioned, and taking a love of riches,
sparked long ago by the settlers that had come long ago in search of a rush of gold. Felix Barocco, the
one who governed this rich state, was especially greedy and always in search of an ever growing
possession of this expensive metal. Every day as the sun rose and set, and every night as the moon did
the same, gold loving Felix snatched up all he could find, and when the precious metal was scarce,
dreamed of possessing golden utensils, of sitting and sleeping upon golden furniture, and even bathing
in pure liquid gold. It seemed as though his dreaming began to overtake even his state and family. One

Why Do Low Blood Glucose Levels
Scenario: Low blood glucose levels
A person is doing the 40 hour famine. This is when the person cannot eat for 48 hours to raise money
for World Vision. When a person does not eat for 48 hours they are not ingesting any glucose from
food so there will be a deficiency of blood glucose levels. Blood glucose levels are monitored by the
islets of Langerhans. Low blood glucose levels are sensed by the alpha cells in the islets so during the
40 hour famine when blood sugars fall below 5mM, alpha cells sense this and release the polypeptide
hormone glucagon. Glucagon raises blood glucose levels in a way that is antagonistic to insulin. Its
effect is to increase blood glucose levels and its effect is most powerful when insulin levels in the

Type 1 or early onset diabetes is an auto immune disease in which the immune system attacks and
destroys the body s own beta cells.
In type 1 diabetes the immune system attacks and destroys the insulin producing beta cells in the islets
of Langerhans. The body is believed to do this because of some unfortunate genetic coding.
All people have particular HLA (human leukocyte antigen) complexes, but scientists have found that
diabetes is likely to develop in people who have a specific HLA complex. The purpose of this
complex is to trigger an immune response in the body. When the body gets an infection the immune
system produces antibodies to fight it. In charge of making these antibodies are T cells. If the infection
has similar antigens (something recognized by the immune system as a threat) as beta cells, the T cells
can turn against the beta cells and begin destroying them. This destruction happens over several years,
though disease symptoms appear quite quickly.
Without beta cells obviously the body cannot produce insulin in response to high blood glucose,
causing type 1 diabetics to have abnormally high blood sugar

Carnival Cruise Line Case 9
Introduction
Carnival Cruise Line was found in the United States by Ted Arison in 1972, it is based in Miami,
Florida. Now it is one of the nine cruise ships that own 21.1 % of the worldwide market share. The
main control of the Carnival Cruise line is located in Doral, Florida.
This cruise line is relatively inexpensive and popular for a Las Vegas style decoration and
entertainment. Carnival Company became one of the largest ships in the world in 1996. In 2001,
Robert Dickinson participated in a BBC documentary. In 2004 Carnival Corporation began a
development programs for new ships. In 2009 Company placed one of the largest boats named
Carnival Dream. Following that the company placed Carnival Magic that was the same as Carnival
Dream in 2011. In 2012 the Carnival Cruise Company ordered another ship from Fincantieri. It was
the largest ships that it was build by them.
Reasons why Carnival paid hardly any United States taxes
Many companies are trying to avoid taxes and have a higher profits that is exactly what Carnival
Cruise Line does, and it pays about 1% tax rate of their total income.

also said he does not consider himself bad or unethical for doing that. I agree with him on this matter I
think we take all the deduction we can. In this situation, the interesting thing is that Carnival

Analysis Of This Land Is Your Land, By Woody Guthrie
This land is your land is one of the most famous song ever made. It was written and performed by
Woody Guthrie in 1940. It has become a very iconic American song that is learned in school and
performed by many famous artists. What is not known is, the true meaning of the song and what
Woody Guthrie message he was trying to portray in his song. To most Americans they think of the
song as a patriotic song , or the song that almost became our national anthem, but there is a deeper
meaning to the patriotic lyrics we all know. Guthrie wrote the song as a protest song to protest the
working class should have same rights as the rich, and america s lack of empathy for those in poverty,
and there should be more done for those struggling in the working class and poverty. He believes
America would thrive under a communist regime, where everyone is equal and make the same amount
of money no matter how hard they work or how much they produce. All business and lands would be
owned by the government and not the people as well. In other words, it s about how America should
follow a communist regime cause to Guthrie, things were not going well under a democracy. The song
is not about communism, rather tell about all the struggles for those in poverty and the working class
and a communist way can solve it. It can be viewed from a non communists point of view but Guthrie
intentions for the song was to support communism so everyone is equal. Woody Guthrie was born in
Oklahoma in 1912.

Analysis of Architecture in Photography Essay
Analysis of Architecture in Photography
I have decided to look at architecture for my next genre in photography. I have chosen architecture as
it is very different to fashion photography and looks at totally different materials and includes different
characteristics. In the early years of photography, few if any photographers were specialists in any
area other than commercial portraiture, which was the main area in which a living could be made from
the new medium. Early photographers did fairly often photograph buildings, often working from the
window of a convenient room rather than at street level.
Many of the images from this era can truly be described as monumental, giving the subjects ... Show

Even thought the photo only consists of blue, it is made up of lots of different shades of blue.
The lights on the building and around it stand out because they are a bright colour. I think the way the
sea blue colour merges into the deep blue/black colour of the background works really well.
The photograph doesn t really have a story to it, as there isn t much going on, it doesn t have energy or
any movement to it at all. However it could easily be a scene used in a film, such as an establishing
shot. The photo has a certain peaceful feel to it. It is soothing to look at; this is because it is a calm,
quiet setting you can almost feel your presence there, staring into the beautiful view. I think the reason
that the photo has such a positive, relaxing feel to it is down to the fact that the composition of the
photo reminds you of a deep blue sea or a clear black sky. The photo has strong verticals and
horizontal, which emphasise a static feel and the negative space.
The picture has a large depth of field with the two buildings the centre point of it. Only natural
lighting is used for this photo, therefore getting the exact time of day right would have been essential.
The photo also has some negative points to it. The angle at which the photograph is taken from makes
the picture looks really flat and plain, For instance if

Analysis Of The Poem If I Were Paul
Intercession: an interposing or pleading on behalf of another person. In Mark Jarman s poem, If I
Were Paul, the speaker displays many changes in tone and diction to illustrate the crux of his ideology.
The first three stanzas are completely exalting in their nature. The speaker uses three distinct
categories to do this: creation of a being, virtue of an idea, and discovery of an object, and each of the
first stanzas are devoted to one of these topics. Each of these subsets are purposefully selected to
create a tone of artistry and fascination in the beginning stanzas of the poem. Eventually, the speaker
changes tone to display the hypocrisy in the modern church. To a superficial reader, the speaker is
rebuking a congregation, but further analysis reveals the speaker is attempting to write as a
contemporary Paul of Tarsus, pointing out inconsistencies in the modern Christian faith. The first
stanza deals strictly with how you were made. The speaker uses eloquent, articulate verbiage to
express the imp1ressiveness of how you were made. The speaker begins by asking the reader to
consider the loving geometry and passionate symmetry with which he or she was created. This causes
the reader to consider who or what created him or her, and being that the title refers to a biblical
character, most would undoubtedly assume the creator to be God. The mention of God oftentimes is
connoted with concepts pure, holy, and righteous. Moreover, this would lead a person of

Approaches to Health
INTRODUCTION
This report will be investigating the various sociological perspectives on health as well as the models
and definitions of health and ill health. These topics will assist in the understanding of how different
people and different cultures react to ill health.
1.1 CONTRASTING SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES ON HEALTH
In modern society there is a general consensus that good health is something that everyone wants to
experience and that each individual knows what this involves. Because there are so many different
definitions of health and ill health it can become a very complicated concept. Walsh (2011) states that
In sociological terms health and illness are contested concepts. This means that the general meaning of
these words should not be taken for granted.
Negative Definition of Health
The negative model is based on the idea that health is the opposite of disease. The definition believes
that disease is a biological state where the individual is afflicted by a physical condition or illness
(Walsh, 2011: 325). It views the body as a machine that may malfunction at times, because for some
reason or another, its parts have stopped working. The damage to these machine parts is the disease. It
a health care professional s role to identify these fault and repair them. This is based on medical
intervention via drugs or surgery. This can be a very negative outlook on health because some
conditions could be caused by social factors, so a physical approach to

The Country Of China Is Landlocked Essay
As the world population continues to grow, the world that humans live in will continue to get harder
because eventually almost everything in the world will run out. Many of the most important things
that humans need in life are the things that are going to run out. If humans continue their ways, life
will go from being hard to being almost impossible. There are places around the world that have
already took that next step into changing the way they live to help the future. A great example of this
is in China where the country of China is overpopulated. Chinas step into helping the future is by
limiting family s to only have one child to keep population down and in turn keep future population.
This whole population idea leads into natural resources because the more humans that live on earth,
the more natural resources are need to be used. Someone may ask what is a natural resource? The
answer to this question is, a natural resource is industrial materials and capacities (as mineral deposits
and waterpower) supplied by nature. In other words, natural resources are resources that are not
human made and that occur naturally such as fresh water, trees, oil and rocks. Natural resources are
very important for humans because anyone most humans can use them and you do not need to pay to
create them. The catch about natural resources is that they are not unlimited and Earth will run out of
them eventually if humans continue to abuse them. The Earth has gotten to a point that in the

This report analyses the whole process which is followed in order to make a personal decision related
with the buy a hatchback for city driving: from the identification and structuring of the problem to the
appraisal of the alternative solution (French et all, 2009,pp 81).
As it happens in any imminent decision regarding a purchase, an assiduous market research is
required. The brochures of the major automobile companies and the car web sites constitute the main
information source which will be used for the designation of the criteria and the elicitation of their
values. Due to the fact that the criteria which are taken into consideration are more than two, Multiple
Criteria Decision Analysis(MCDA) will be applied. The MCDA is supported by the use of the IDS
software. The data and its calculation as well as any output of IDS tool, are presented explicitly in the
respective appendices.
2. Methodology
As it is referred above, the objective of this problem is to take a decision concerning the purchase of a
new city car. For this reason, the article Best city cars from the website carbuyer.co.uk (2014) is very
helpful as it provides the best ten city cars among which the final decision will be made. All these city
cars (alternatives) are available in different versions. Due to the limited budget (9000pounds) the
decision making is focused on the economical model, widely well known as S trim level. In this
selection problem the car

Theme Of Dualism In Big Hero 6
The movie Big Hero 6 tells the story of a hero and a villain not dislike one another. Hiro Hamada, the
hero of this story, has many qualities like Robert Callaghan, the villain, thus relating Big Hero 6 to
East Asian mythology and the idea of dualism. Through the use of parallels between the hero and the
villain, Big Hero 6 shows the dualism of man, and how people have both good and bad inside them.
Hiro Hamada s journey to find the truth of his brother s death leads to his discovery of himself. Hiro is
a fourteen year old boy living in the fictional town of San Fransokyo. He and his brother, Tadashi, live
with their aunt Cass after their parents died prior to the start of the movie. Tadashi goes to the San
Fransokyo Institute of Technology, and his actions, along with the head of the robotics program,
Professor Robert Callaghan, inspire Hiro to apply to the institute as well. Hiro s journey begins at the
institute s science fair where he presents his invention, microbots, which are small robots that can link
together to create any structure, and he uses a neurocranial transmitter to control them. After receiving
a spot at the institute, Hiro and his friends and family leave, but a fire breaks out at the institution, and
all of the science fair exhibits and Professor Callaghan, are inside. Tadashi goes to save the apparently
trapped Callaghan, but dies in an explosion. Tadashi s death leads to Hiro falling into a depression for
many months until he finds Baymax, Tadashi s project at school, a personal health companion robot.
At this point, Baymax finds the last of the microbots in Hiro s room attempting to get out of the jar
and go towards the Pacific Ocean. Hiro and Baymax go to investigate and find that the villain, called
Yokai, has the neurocranial transmitter and can control the microbots to attack Hiro and other
characters. Hiro organizes a team of heroes comprised of Tadashi s friends and classmates, GoGo
Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Fred, and Baymax and Hiro, all of whom create super suits and
become the Big Hero 6 team. After finally confronting Yokai, the team realizes it is Professor
Callaghan, and Hiro finds out that Tadashi died for nothing. Callaghan mocks this and Hiro, taking

The Prevalence Of Hiv Among Women
C.2. Study Population/Design {this paragraph need to be reduced by 3 lines} This study is a
prospective, special exposure cohort study. The study population will include HIV seropositive
pregnant women, postpartum women within 6 weeks after delivery (due to the fact that most HIV
infected pregnant women do not usually come back for postpartum visits after delivery), and infants of
seropositive pregnant women till 6 months old in Gambia. The study will be conducted in three years.
The prevalence of HIV among women in Gambia is higher (7.6 per 1000) than other West African
countries (3.1 per 1000). Our eligibility criteria include reproductive ages of women from 15 45 years
old, HIV seropositive pregnant women, and participants from the three regions of Brikama,
Janjanbureh, and Basse In Gambia (unicef, 2013). We intend recruiting 224~250 participants, based
on the sample size calculation below (to accommodate potential losses to follow ups), nationwide in
urban hospital clinics from the largest antenatal centers in Gambia (Please send me the correct link
[2]). An informed consent will be obtained and signed by participants. Afterwards, a detailed
questionnaire about their demographic variables, physical examination findings, HIV staging, and
mode of delivery, breastfeeding and laboratory tests will be performed (Lambert et al., 1997). The
specimen will be collected and stored, and the women will be seen on subsequent antenatal or
postnatal visits for follow up. The selection

The On Being Born And Dying
There are two things that you can count on in life: being born and dying. Everyone will experience
death, which makes it inevitable part of human life. According to the Centers of Disease Control and
Prevention, there are approximately 2,596,993 deaths. The death rates are approximately 821.5 deaths
per 100,000 population, and the life expectancy is 78.8. Nurses tend to avoid the subject of death and
dying, but fail to realize that death is a part of the holistic care that is promised to clients. In saying
this, nurses must deal with their own death in order to help someone else cope with dying or death of a
family member. The nurses must be compassionate and show empathy to help the client and the
family cope.
Spirituality is another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a nurse, you must understand the different types of death as well as the stages of grief in order to
help the client as well as the family. According to Taylors, the different types of death include natural,
sudden, and suicide. Natural death is when a person dies naturally like in their sleep from old age.
This is expected. Sudden death is unexpected like when someone dies in a car crash. Suicide is when a
person kills themselves. When understanding the stages of grief, the nurse should know that the stages
don t necessarily go in order. First is the denial stage. Denial is a coping technique that people use to
protect themselves. An example of denial would be like a client saying I m not sick or I am not dying.
The doctor does not know what he is talking about. I will get a second opinion. Anger is the next
stage, which is often directed at the family or healthcare members. Anger is when the client, family, or
both are being rude. As the nurse, since you know that the client and the family are going through the
grieving process, do not take the rudeness personal. Bargaining is making a deal with God to prolong
life (Taylor). A patient might say, Lord, if you save my life, I promise to go to church every
Wednesday and Sunday. Depression results from the loss experienced because of health care status
and hospitalization. During the depression phase, the nurse might see a persistent feeling of sadness or
loss of interest that

Narrative Essay On Co-Ops
On a cold, Thursday evening, Joey, Monica, Rachel, Ross, and Phoebe are each indulging in a hot cup

his eyes and waves Rachel over so she can refill his coffee cup and take a break from her tough
waitressing job. You guys actually may want to go ahead and head home, Rachel warns. What? Why s
that? We don t have anything better to do than nothing, might as well do it here. And we get free

Wait, I don t know if I m sold on these co ops yet, Monica intervenes. It sounds great and all, but how

see, if the co op ever starts to switch around on you, then you have the power to do something about it.
Once you join, you become a member. Co ops are kinda like the United States. You know how we get
to choose what goes on because we re citizens? Members of co ops get that, too. For example, if you
didn t like, I don t know, the glow of your light bulbs, you could tell your co op about it! Ross frowns.
Joey, I don t think complaining about light bulbs would work out, Ross tells him, but from what I
understand, co ops always hear their members out if they have a meaningful comment. I think that s
what Joey means with his United States analogy. Sounds like a good deal to me, Phoebe concludes
and shrugs her shoulders. How do I join, though? I don t have any qualifications, and I m unemployed.
See, that s the beauty of a co op! Joey exclaims. Anyone can join! Even losers like us? Chandler asks
hopefully. Yes, even us! Joey restates. Wasn t JFK awesome for deciding to get the first co op

2.0 SECONDARY DATA
According to (Wilson, 2012), Secondary data is information that has been previously collected for a
purpose other than the current research project. Secondary data are best remembered as second hand ,
because such data are old primary data. Good researchers start with secondary data before designing
primary research studies (Bradley, 2014, p.70). The three main types of secondary data are
Documentary, Survey based and Multi source secondary data. An example of Documentary secondary
data would be a written report such as an email. Survey based secondary data is usually information
that is collected through a questionnaire and Multi source secondary data is information gathered from

Opinions leaders can have first hand experience of the attraction and therefore will have the potential
to positively influence future consumers of the attraction. A positive of utilizing a report is that it
contains applied research, unlike an academic paper that would contain theories. As a result, this is
more cost effective as it provides data that has already been researched at a low cost. Secondary data
may solve the problem without the need for any primary research: time and money is thereby saved
(CIM, 2017) Although secondary data is usually cheap to access, it would be beneficial for the
business to ensure that it is economical enough to use. This risk can be overcome by York Dungeons
by carrying out a cost benefit analysis which is a technique that would allow the technique to be
assessed on if it would be beneficial and economical for their business.
A possible weakness of a report would be that it could include no real concepts and models as they
focus more on the actual findings. It may be that the report is not relevant in relation to the marketing
of a certain business. The golden rule when using secondary data is only use meaningful data. External
information should be consulted in order of ease and speed of access (Hague, 2004). This supports
that a business such as York Dungeons would need to be cautious when using secondary data, that it is
adequate enough to use

The Lottery, By Shirley Jackson And The Rocking Horse Winner
The Lottery by Shirley Jackson and The Rocking Horse Winner by D.H. Lawrence portray how
people can act in atrocious ways when impacted by society. In both of these short stories there is an
untimely death of one of the characters. The difference between the deaths is the emotional relation
with the characters. The purpose of this paper is to compare and contrast these two pieces of literature
through the similarities and differences in the settings, characters, theme, and plot. The Lottery written
by Shirley Jackson was written in 1948. Jackson declared her purpose for writing the story was to
shock the story s readers with a graphic demonstration of the pointless violence and general
inhumanity in their own lives (pg. 250). The main characters in this story are Mr. Summers who draws
the names out of the black box; Mr. Graves the post master that assist Mr. Summers; Bill Hutchinson,
Tessie Hutchinson who were chosen in the lottery; and the townspeople. Jackson uses the bright and
friendly atmosphere set the tone of the story. The story starts off on a clear and sunny morning on June
27th. It was a beautiful day with the flowers blooming and the grass green in a small little town of 300
people. In this town the townspeople felt strongly about upholding traditions. Tradition is important to
small towns, a way to link families and generations. Following traditions blindly is what can turn into
something terrible. The lottery was held each year where one person was

  • 2. Technology Is Too Invasive, Lacks Transparency, And Must... As with any advancement, the rise of technology has its drawbacks. The internet has allowed the creation of an industry based solely in gathering and selling mass amounts of user data. This data collection is meant to improve and personalize a user s experience. But the amount of data collected far exceeds the amount needed to accomplish this. And despite the size and pervasive nature of the industry, the general public knows very little about what they do. Data collection online is too invasive, lacks transparency, and must be restricted. For starters, the sheer amount of data collected is absurd. Some of it is expected, such as names, email addresses, crash reports, and other basic pieces of information. But many companies also drew from unexpected sources. Google collects data from search queries, time and date of phone calls, length of phone calls, and even data on a user s precise location (Google). And while a user may expect that Facebook collects data from everything they post, they may be surprised to learn that Facebook also collects data on a user from posts by other people. Facebook will even collect information on web activity outside of Facebook via third party partners (Facebook). And they re hardly the only companies to do this. In fact, there are companies that exist solely for this purpose. They are known as data brokers , and they gather much of their information online. When the Federal Trade Commission did a report on nine major data brokers, they ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How Did Bill Russell Contribute To Basketball One player from NBA history changed the game of basketball forever. That one player was Bill Russell. Bill Russell was at the time considered the best player to play in the NBA. He was a phenomenal player and left his impact on the NBA. But he didn t get there just because he was tall. He really shaped himself during his childhood that led to his career of basketball and his legacy on the National Basketball Association. But it all started when Bill was born. Bill Russell was born February 12, 1934 in Monroe, Louisiana. His early childhood was shaped of poor health and battled different illnesses(Biography.com Editors). After winning the gold medal he joined the 1956 NBA draft. The St. Louis Hawks drafted him but the Boston Celtics traded for him. During that season the Celtics ended the season with the best regular season record. In his rookie season he played 48 games and averaged 19.6 rebounds a game and 14.7 points per game. Over thirteen years Russell went to twelve NBA finals to win eleven of them. In 1966 Russell led the Celtics to their eighth consecutive title. • 4. Assesment of Level of English Proficiency CHAPTER 1 THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND Introduction Because English is so widely spoken, it has often been referred to as a world language , the lingua franca of the modern era, and while it is not an official language in most countries, it is currently the language most often taught as a foreign language. English is widely spoken in the Philippines. It is used as the business language as well as the medium of instruction in schools and universities. It is the language used by the people all over the world in order to communicate to anyone. The Philippine educational setting is bilingual in nature, thus the level of performance of public high school students towards English proficiency in learning ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, youth is now affected by this low proficiency. Sadly, some methods scare if not bore students or fail to spark their enthusiasm that they end up sitting in the classroom simply staring at teachers who do all the talking. The quality of education according to Dela Rosa (2000) has to start going up or we can call the whole deal off. Government owes us the services of good teachers, especially language mentors. The researcher, in her seven years of teaching the English language , is saddened by the students lack of confidence in communicating in English. Many students prefer to keep quiet in class for fear that when they speak, they might commit errors in grammar pronunciation, and that their classmates might laugh at them. This is alarming most especially when a student is in an Oral Communication class and the whole quarter slips away without a word from a very shy student. With these, the researcher was motivated to assess the level of English proficiency of the grade 7 students at Payapa National High School which she believes would be a great basis on designing an action plan in order to further enhance the English proficiency among students. I just want one little specification on why? He stole my life, my childhood, my innocence. He dressed up as something he wasn t and played the part. Cyrus I see her everywhere. I see her eyes in the back of my mind. I recall observing that pale, blue eyed face. Living her nightmares, seeing her sister play her part. Her sister was as determined as she is. Observing her trying to pass those blue coats. Wanting to know what I did and why I did it. May I please just pass...? I am detective Aurelia Price, and I am here to ask Mr. Brown some questions. She said. I was rolling my eyes. She thinks she is going to get me to talk. Ha! The blue coats have been trying for over a decade. They still haven t and won t. Aurelia These people think they have all the authority in the world. Uhhhh! Ma am, you have to wait till visitor hours. He said. As it was 7:40 am, so I asked just to make conversation. What exactly are the visitor hours? I stated They are from 8 am till 7pm, but you are welcome to wait till we open. I saw his stare creep on me, watching me as if he knew my secrets. • 6. Born To Run Analysis In hopes of getting more likes, our society craves to post on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram about how our life is on the road to success and happiness. Yes, that could be one of you. Acceptance and love have been hard to come by nowadays. Bluntly put, our advanced society is a complete paradox to what it aims to do keeping our mind, body, and spirit healthy. It seems that our advancement in the systems of technology, health, justice, and everything in between has been causing more harm than good. According to the non fiction text, Born to Run, McDougall describes how the Tarahumaras seem to grasp the essence of our advanced societal problems with such simplicity. We believe our knowledge is what perpetuates us forward, yet that knowledge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is best seen in McDougall s injury, such as being administered a cortisone shot to fix a patient s foot with plantar fasciitis, and the high caliber doctors telling him to stop running to prevent knee degeneration because he s just not cut out for it. Unfortunately, our knowledge based system has it wrong. A lot of what our advanced society is teaching us is a contorted reality contrived on the basis of our pride in science, our pride in medicine, and our pride in everything we do. We follow the goddess of knowledge and believe those of credibility to be the only solution to our health problems. When you step back and look at the big picture, we are nowhere near the achievements of the Tarahumara. Although primal, the Tarahumara do not face the wrath that of an advanced society incurs. Tarahumaras do not experience vast array of problems we do, such as obesity, plantar fasciitis, knee pains, crime, theft, greed, drug addiction, child abuse, diabetes, depression, corruption, domestic violence, and war (McDougall 14). We do! We certainly do because we build our society on knowledge. Advancement in society is mostly manufactured on this tree of knowledge we call life, and it drives us crazy. Knowledge deceives us from attaining true freedom in mind, body, and spirit. Now the Tarahumaras, wow, do these guys have it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. My Girl Book Vs Movie Recently in class we watched a film my girl(1991) after we had read the book a small free kiss in the dark. Both books had examples of hardship and courage which is the unit we have been working on in class. Although the book had things that were the same in the movie, there were events that were slightly different, but both characters went through hardship or displayed courage in the same way. Courage being strength in the face of pain or grief. Hardship being severe suffering or privation. So let s get to it then, these are three examples of courage and hardship that is both in the movie and in the book. For starters both had had a huge loss in their lives. The loss they had endured was the deaths of their mothers. This loss affected the way I they thought, for example Vada in the movie continually thought she was sick or was going to die. She also believed she had killed her mother. Skip from the book just wondered what his mother was like, what did she looked like? He wished he had a photo ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although Skip endures a real war Vada has a war with herself. Vada also has verbal wars with girls that bully her about her friend who is a boy. Vadas war with herself includes the fact she believe she is constantly going to die or that she has a disease this is partly because she lives in a funeral parlor and also the fact her mother died. Vada is picked on by girls because she has a friend who is a boy. Skips war however is far more conflicted due to the fact he is part of a real war. The war strengthens Skip, who becomes a leader who a teen parent Tia looks up to. Skip matures whilst being a big brother to a lost boy, Max. • 8. Analysis Of The Book The Fugitive Essay The Fugitive One summer night Sara, Chad, Austin, Tristan, Autumn, Myles, Shelby, and I got together to find a game to play. We met in Lincoln at South Pointe at Cold stone creamery. We headed to the mini golf course but when we arrived the place was packed. So we stood in the parking lot trying to figure out ideas. We were getting nowhere when Tristan says well we can play fugitive. None of us had ever played it or even heard of such a game. He explained it was a game where we have two people in a car trying to find the fugitives the fugitives start at one end of the town and the cops would start at the other. There would be a designated place where if you made it without being captured you won the game. So we decided Lincoln was too big to play it so we headed to our hometown of Seward. We arrived at the ballfields and broke into four couples. Sara and Austin were the cops and the rest of us were fugitives. They got in the burgandy van and drove to the other side of town. Right when they were out of sight Chad and I sprinted as fast as we could to get a head start over competition. I only made it about half a mile before I was keeled over out of breath but Chad, who is in cross country, kept running and left me behind. Soon I was alone walking the streetlight lit sidewalk trying to find my way to town square. As a girl walking alone always freaks me out especially at night so I am extra aware of my surroundings. • 10. Efficient Delivery Of Cancer The efficient delivery of drugs and energy to tumors faces several difficulties and obstacles that need to be overcome for effective cancer treatment. Nanoparticles administrated through intravenous injections accumulate at a tumor site due to the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect, but only a small quantity of the injected particles can actually reach the tumor (Su et al, 2016). The majority of the nanoparticles interact with cancer cells at the periphery of a tumor which presents a physiological barrier that prevents most of the injected particles from reaching the tumor (Su et al, 2016). In addition to this barrier, there is also another significant obstacle, cancer associated fibroblasts , which can also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This conglomerate composed of protein lipid, sponge like carbon, and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was administrated by the researchers to mice in order to study the material s ability to transport the hydrophobic drug docetaxel (DTX) and perfluorohexane (PFH) for deep tumor penetration and therapy (Su et al, 2016). The Lf lipo GNS composite is capable of carrying large amounts of drugs in its pores which can be released through the absorption of light by the GNS. By applying near infrared (NIR) irradiation, the gasification of PFH occurs due to an increase in local temperature in the graphene nanosponge which as a result damages and ruptures tumor spheroids (Su et al, 2016). Consequently, the combined effects of gasification and chemo and thermotherapy can substantially reduce tumors and even completely eliminate them without future reappearance. The researchers conducted a study on in vitro photolytic therapy on RG2 tumor spheroids incubated with the control group (PBS only), Lf lipo US GNS/DTX, Lf lipo US GNS/DTX+NIR, and Lflipo US GNS/DTX PFH+NIR (Su et al, 2016). Due to its tumor penetration ability, the researchers used 10 μg/mL of 40 nm Lf lipo US GNS to conduct the study. • 13. The Right To Freedom Of Freedom The freedom of assembly and demonstration is pivotal to a democratic society due to the fact that peaceful protest allows citizens to participate in democracy by being active in governmental affairs through voicing their grievances and opinions in a peaceful manner. The right to freedom of assembly guarantees the possibility of peaceful protest without government interference and allows those protesting safety and security and also allows those protesting to make use of their right to freedom of expression. The act of peaceful protest allows citizens to make their voices heard when they usually would not be, for citizens to raise and draw attention to issues that concern them and to circumvent traditional legal processes whilst putting pressure on the government so as to not allow them to infringe upon their rights. This right allows those who are vulnerable and powerless to express their concerns in the only way available to them in a way that was disallowed during the Apartheid era and is therefore pivotal in the exercise of all other rights afforded to the citizens of South Africa in the Constitution. The right to freedom of assembly only applies when this assembly is peaceful, without weapons, destruction of property and violence and therefore internally regulates itself by limiting its own scope. Evelyn Nesbit s Ragtime While there are many important messages in the play Ragtime, I believe the most important one is the message about how women were treated unequally when compared to men and how this is still a relevant theme in the world today. While there are major differences to how the female culture was in the 1900s when compared to now, there are still unjust similarities. Throughout the story there are female characters who represent the growth that women at that time were making however, this growth is slow and I believe it is not yet finished even today. Even though it may seem as though Evelyn Nesbit played an insignificant role in this play, she represented much of the unequal treatment women. She represented a type of woman that was in existence simply to entertain men, known everywhere as The girl on the velvet swing (Athrens 0). By the end of the play, Evelyn was motivated by money and material which, in the end, was her downfall. Her character represents the end of the era of women being considered objects, just as the feminist movement was beginning. However, we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 16. Effects Of Drm On Competition And Access WRITING SAMPLE #1 THE EFFECTS OF DRM ON COMPETITION AND ACCESS TO KNOWLEDGE IN THE E BOOK MARKET It is no overstatement that the boom in digital reading has revolutionized the book industry. Although ideas about electronic libraries date back to the 1970 s, the market took off in 2007 with the launch of the Sony Reader and the Kindle. In 2013, e books already accounted for a quarter of adult trade sales, bringing in $1.3 billion in revenue. This rapid growth can be attributed to how portable and convenient e books are, as well as the utility of features like built in dictionaries. Moreover, e books offer benefits in the form of greater accessibility and lower prices. They usually cost 30% less than physical books, and public domain books can be found for free on platforms such as Project Gutenberg. At the same time, e books also eliminate geographical barriers with Internet access, the same book can be acquired by someone in London or in Bogota and downloaded in a matter of seconds. Ultimately, these benefits are more than mere conveniences they serve as important tools for disseminating information and spreading education. Still, one factor undermines e books potential to promote access to knowledge: the use of digital rights management (DRM). DRM is a technological lock that permits copyright owners to enforce their rights by controlling what users can do with digital files. For example, DRM can be used to limit when, where, for how many times, and for how long a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When a person does not eat for 48 hours they are not ingesting any glucose from food so there will be a deficiency of blood glucose levels. Blood glucose levels are monitored by the islets of Langerhans. Low blood glucose levels are sensed by the alpha cells in the islets so during the 40 hour famine when blood sugars fall below 5mM, alpha cells sense this and release the polypeptide hormone glucagon. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Type 1 or early onset diabetes is an auto immune disease in which the immune system attacks and destroys the body s own beta cells. In type 1 diabetes the immune system attacks and destroys the insulin producing beta cells in the islets of Langerhans. The body is believed to do this because of some unfortunate genetic coding. All people have particular HLA (human leukocyte antigen) complexes, but scientists have found that diabetes is likely to develop in people who have a specific HLA complex. The purpose of this complex is to trigger an immune response in the body. When the body gets an infection the immune system produces antibodies to fight it. In charge of making these antibodies are T cells. If the infection has similar antigens (something recognized by the immune system as a threat) as beta cells, the T cells can turn against the beta cells and begin destroying them. This destruction happens over several years, though disease symptoms appear quite quickly. Without beta cells obviously the body cannot produce insulin in response to high blood glucose, causing type 1 diabetics to have abnormally high blood sugar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It has become a very iconic American song that is learned in school and performed by many famous artists. What is not known is, the true meaning of the song and what Woody Guthrie message he was trying to portray in his song. To most Americans they think of the song as a patriotic song , or the song that almost became our national anthem, but there is a deeper meaning to the patriotic lyrics we all know. Guthrie wrote the song as a protest song to protest the working class should have same rights as the rich, and america s lack of empathy for those in poverty, and there should be more done for those struggling in the working class and poverty. He believes America would thrive under a communist regime, where everyone is equal and make the same amount of money no matter how hard they work or how much they produce. All business and lands would be owned by the government and not the people as well. In other words, it s about how America should follow a communist regime cause to Guthrie, things were not going well under a democracy. The song is not about communism, rather tell about all the struggles for those in poverty and the working class and a communist way can solve it. The photograph doesn t really have a story to it, as there isn t much going on, it doesn t have energy or any movement to it at all. It is soothing to look at; this is because it is a calm, quiet setting you can almost feel your presence there, staring into the beautiful view. • 22. Analysis Of The Poem If I Were Paul Intercession: an interposing or pleading on behalf of another person. In Mark Jarman s poem, If I Were Paul, the speaker displays many changes in tone and diction to illustrate the crux of his ideology. The first three stanzas are completely exalting in their nature. The speaker uses three distinct categories to do this: creation of a being, virtue of an idea, and discovery of an object, and each of the first stanzas are devoted to one of these topics. Each of these subsets are purposefully selected to create a tone of artistry and fascination in the beginning stanzas of the poem. Eventually, the speaker changes tone to display the hypocrisy in the modern church. To a superficial reader, the speaker is rebuking a congregation, but further analysis reveals the speaker is attempting to write as a contemporary Paul of Tarsus, pointing out inconsistencies in the modern Christian faith. The first stanza deals strictly with how you were made. The speaker uses eloquent, articulate verbiage to express the imp1ressiveness of how you were made. The speaker begins by asking the reader to consider the loving geometry and passionate symmetry with which he or she was created. This causes the reader to consider who or what created him or her, and being that the title refers to a biblical character, most would undoubtedly assume the creator to be God. Hiro Hamada, the hero of this story, has many qualities like Robert Callaghan, the villain, thus relating Big Hero 6 to East Asian mythology and the idea of dualism. Through the use of parallels between the hero and the villain, Big Hero 6 shows the dualism of man, and how people have both good and bad inside them. Hiro Hamada s journey to find the truth of his brother s death leads to his discovery of himself. Hiro is a fourteen year old boy living in the fictional town of San Fransokyo. He and his brother, Tadashi, live with their aunt Cass after their parents died prior to the start of the movie. Tadashi goes to the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, and his actions, along with the head of the robotics program, Professor Robert Callaghan, inspire Hiro to apply to the institute as well. Hiro s journey begins at the institute s science fair where he presents his invention, microbots, which are small robots that can link together to create any structure, and he uses a neurocranial transmitter to control them. After receiving a spot at the institute, Hiro and his friends and family leave, but a fire breaks out at the institution, and all of the science fair exhibits and Professor Callaghan, are inside. Tadashi goes to save the apparently trapped Callaghan, but dies in an explosion. The death rates are approximately 821.5 deaths per 100,000 population, and the life expectancy is 78.8. Nurses tend to avoid the subject of death and dying, but fail to realize that death is a part of the holistic care that is promised to clients. In saying this, nurses must deal with their own death in order to help someone else cope with dying or death of a family member. The nurses must be compassionate and show empathy to help the client and the family cope. Spirituality is another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a nurse, you must understand the different types of death as well as the stages of grief in order to help the client as well as the family. According to Taylors, the different types of death include natural, sudden, and suicide. Natural death is when a person dies naturally like in their sleep from old age. This is expected. Sudden death is unexpected like when someone dies in a car crash. Suicide is when a person kills themselves. When understanding the stages of grief, the nurse should know that the stages don t necessarily go in order. First is the denial stage. Denial is a coping technique that people use to protect themselves. An example of denial would be like a client saying I m not sick or I am not dying. The doctor does not know what he is talking about. I will get a second opinion. Anger is the next stage, which is often directed at the family or healthcare members. Anger is when the client, family, or both are being rude. As the nurse, since you know that the client and the family are going through the grieving process, do not take the rudeness personal. Bargaining is making a deal with God to prolong life (Taylor). A patient might say, Lord, if you save my life, I promise to go to church every Wednesday and Sunday. Depression results from the loss experienced because of health care status and hospitalization. During the depression phase, the nurse might see a persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Narrative Essay On Co-Ops On a cold, Thursday evening, Joey, Monica, Rachel, Ross, and Phoebe are each indulging in a hot cup of coffee at Central Perk, waiting for their buddy, Chandler, to arrive. He should be here soon, Joey states. It only takes 97 steps to get here from our apartment. He s had time for at least 85. Ross rolls his eyes and waves Rachel over so she can refill his coffee cup and take a break from her tough waitressing job. You guys actually may want to go ahead and head home, Rachel warns. What? Why s that? We don t have anything better to do than nothing, might as well do it here. And we get free coffee here, Monica explains, lifting her coffee cup for Rachel s attention. It sounds great and all, but how do I know it s not too good to be true? Well, everything I ve said is true, Joey assures her. And, you see, if the co op ever starts to switch around on you, then you have the power to do something about it. Once you join, you become a member. Co ops are kinda like the United States. You know how we get to choose what goes on because we re citizens? Members of co ops get that, too. For example, if you didn t like, I don t know, the glow of your light bulbs, you could tell your co op about it! Ross frowns. Joey, I don t think complaining about light bulbs would work out, Ross tells him, but from what I understand, co ops always hear their members out if they have a meaningful comment. I think that s what Joey means with his United States analogy. Sounds like a good deal to me, Phoebe concludes and shrugs her shoulders. How do I join, though? I don t have any qualifications, and I m unemployed. See, that s the beauty of a co op! Joey exclaims. Anyone can join! Even losers like us? Chandler asks hopefully. Yes, even us! Joey restates. Wasn t JFK awesome for deciding to get the first co op ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Opinions leaders can have first hand experience of the attraction and therefore will have the potential to positively influence future consumers of the attraction. A positive of utilizing a report is that it contains applied research, unlike an academic paper that would contain theories. As a result, this is more cost effective as it provides data that has already been researched at a low cost. Secondary data may solve the problem without the need for any primary research: time and money is thereby saved (CIM, 2017) Although secondary data is usually cheap to access, it would be beneficial for the business to ensure that it is economical enough to use. This risk can be overcome by York Dungeons by carrying out a cost benefit analysis which is a technique that would allow the technique to be assessed on if it would be beneficial and economical for their business. A possible weakness of a report would be that it could include no real concepts and models as they focus more on the actual findings. It may be that the report is not relevant in relation to the marketing of a certain business. The golden rule when using secondary data is only use meaningful data. External information should be consulted in order of ease and speed of access (Hague, 2004). This supports that a business such as York Dungeons would need to be cautious when using secondary data, that it is adequate enough to use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
