The Corruption Of Saddam Hussein
Throughout history corruption has been laid upon many countries changing it in numerous ways.
This corruption derives through certain people, creating a havoc for those having to follow
orders set by leaders they blindly follow. In Iraq, citizens have been tortured, forced to relocate
their families, arrested and murdered. All of this happened under the control of Saddam Hussein
and we have neither found, nor did he offer an explanation to these actions. He has been notorious
for attacking people who disagreed with his opinions, especially other politicians that would give
any sort of competition to access leadership for Iraq. He is responsible for persecuting and denying
his own citizens human rights. Not only physically but financially, spending all of the countries
money on monuments and palaces as he watches his people die from malnutrition and lack of
medical attention.
Saddam Hussein was born on April 28, 1937 in a village called Ouja, near Tikrit in Northern
Iraq, He grew up in a broken home, His family was poor, they were peasants who did not have a
home. He grew up without a father, it is unknown if his father died or disappeared when he was
younger. When he was still a child, he was sent to live with his uncle, Khairallah Tulfah, who
made a deep impact on what Hussein later did in his life. There is proof that Saddam was
connected to violence at an early age. There are several reports that link him to the murders of a
school teacher and/or a

How Are Small Form Factor PCs Used in a Medical Setting?
If you have been to see your doctor lately or been in the hospital for any reason, chances are
pretty good you have seen at least one, if not more, type of small form factor PC at work. The
typical small form factor PC resembles a tablet or all in one computer and offers a number of
advantages such as self sufficiency and Wi Fi connectivity that makes it the perfect candidate for
use in this type of environment.
In Use Throughout the Healthcare Industry
Today the healthcare industry makes use of small form factor PCs like those manufactured by
Cybernet in a wide variety of applications. These include the patient exam rooms where both the
doctor and the nursing staff use tablets to update ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the idea of trying to work with the standard desktop or even average laptop computer can
be less than appealing due to size, weight, and inconvenience. On the other hand, forward thinking
medical facilities are arming their staff with the latest in medical grade small form factor PCs.
The Modern Small Form Factor PC
The modern tablet PC can best be described as offering users the best features of notebook PCs,
PDAs, and paper records. These devices provide the user with complete access to top of the line
mobile computing, without the aggravations and trade offs these devices required. Today s tablets
and all in one PCs are designed to use the latest operating systems and medical software. Users can
input information via a stylus or digital pen as well as the built in virtual keyboard.
Another major consideration is choosing to employ small form factor PCs is the ability to update
information using more than one method. While all of the tablets and all in one units offered by
Cybernet are Wi Fi enabled, they can also be connected directly to a docking station for charging
and to use with a standard keyboard as

Does Neutralization Cause Crime
Criminals who commit crime neutralize the belief that their crime is bad by way of using
neutralization techniques which are denial of injury, denial of the victim, condemnation of
condemners, appeal to higher loyalties and self fulfillment. Neutralization does not cause crime
however it does give offenders reasons to commit crimebecause it causes them to feel that what
they are going to do is not that bad.
It is reported that hackers found it easier to crack software codes, access and download files or
commit digital piracy because they feel they are not stealing but copying files. Offenders feel as
though offenses done by computers are not the same as taking a physical item this in turns causes
the offender to feel they caused injury.

How Does Poe Create Tension In The Cask Of Amontillado
In The Cask of Amontillado, Poe uses the aspect of time as an element of tension and
foreshadowing to the story. The selection of time and place also plays an important role in the
story. The carnival gives Montresor a perfect opportunity to appear in disguise, to locate his
intoxicated companion and lure him into his vindictive trap. Carnivalis a time of happiness and
celebration for everyone, but in this tale, it is a time for revenge and death because by the end,
Fortunato is in precisely the opposite of a carnival atmosphere (Reynolds 105). Montresor states
that it is about dusk, one evening during the supreme madness of the carnival season (Poe 217)
when he first encounters Fortunato. Given that the readers are already aware of Montresor s

Printing Is A Process For Reproducing Text And Images
Abstract Printing is a process for reproducing text and images, typically with ink on paper using
a print press.3D printing is method of converting a virtual 3D model into a physical object from a
digital file. It is achieved using Additive Process, where an object is created by laying down
successive layers of material until the entire object is created.3D printingcould revolutionize and
reshape the world. Advances in 3D printing technology can significantly change and improve the
manufacturing world with effects on energy use, waste reduction ,customization, product
availability, medicine, art, construction and science. By using this technology it becomes easier to
transmit designs for new objects around the world.

Since the 1980 s, the large scale inkjet printer was widely used in a variety of flat printing tasks with
full colour, and established its unshakable status in the printing industry. With the improvement of
the printing technology and the development of the computer 3D simulation, more and more 3D
printing requirement become burst. However, the existing ink jet printing equipment could only

Coastline Systems Consulting
The following is a copy of the transcript of an interview conducted by Anna Kelly with IT

Jeff:For things such as RAM, I need to track a quantity, too.
Anna:OK. Given the changes you want, I think we ought to define the word component.
Jeff:Good question. You have to think about how we buy and upgrade. Sometimes we buy a
complete system with CPU, monitor, mouse, keyboard the works in one package.
Anna:If you buy it as one unit, do you get all the detailed component information and enter it to the
columns?
Jeff:No, because if we bought it as a unit we let the vendor service it as a unit under warranty. In
those cases a complete system would be a single component. But then later we upgrade a hard
drive, add RAM, replace something, etc. A replacement NIC can be a separate component.
Anna:I know we custom build some PCs. What about them?
Jeff:A PC that we build from individual parts is all components.
Anna:So, if everything is a component, is there any information that pertains to the PC in general?
Jeff:Yes. First of all, this PC Configuration Sheet doesn t show it, but we need to track whether we
are talking about a PC, a printer, a router, a hub or some other kind of technology equipment.
Anna:We service all those?

Spleen
A number of anomalies have been found in the cat through out the dissection sessions. The
anomalies were an enlarged spleen, enlarged thymus and enlarged lymph nodes.
3.1 The Spleen
The spleen is an organ of the immune system (lymphatic system). It function is filter the blood and
maintain it in a healthy way. The spleen produces two types of pulp to perform its function, the red
and the white pulp (Goodenough McGuire, 2014). The red pulp filters the damaged blood cells,
palates and foreign materials in the blood, so it recycles the blood. On other hand, the white pulp
is composed from lymphocytes, macrophages and plasma cells that help clean the blood. These
two pulps work interchangeably to make sure the blood is filtered completely from any foreign
materials and dead cells.
Splenomegaly, which is the enlargement of the spleen, could happen due to four main causes,
which were cancer, infection, liver or blood diseases (Kuntz, 2006). An enlarged spleen causes
hypersplenism; it is a process where the spleen increases the filtration process of the blood cells.
This causes the spleen to recycle more blood and consider it to be a foreign material.
Consequently, more RBCs, WBCs and palates in the blood plasma are... Show more content on

Summary: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is a biography on the former First Lady and widow of
President John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States. The author, Ellen Ladowsky
tells her life story beginning with her parent s engagement and marriage to her unfortunate death.
The book is divided into sections based on major life events, such as her childhood, the White
House years, the assassination of her husband, and remarriage. Jacqueline Lee Bouvier was born
July 28, 1929 to Janet Lee Bouvier and John Jack Bouvier III. She was born in the New York
Hamptons where her parents would spend their summers. She was named after her father and her

Managing Cash Flow Management ( Cfm )
Managing Cash Flow
Cash Flow is composed of revenue or expense streams that change cash accounts over a specified
period. The statement of cash flows showing the amount of cash generated and used by a company
during the period is calculated by adding noncash charges (such as depreciation) to net income after
taxes. Changes in cash are usually derived from one of three activities financing, operations or
investing.
Sales growth can conceal many problems. When managing a growing company, watch expenses
carefully. If you see expenses growing faster than sales, examine costs carefully to find places to
cut or control them.
The lag between the time you have to pay your suppliers and employees and the time you collect
from your customers can be a problem. The solution is cash flow management (CFM). CFM
means delaying disbursements of cash as long as possible while requiring anyone who owes you
money to pay it quickly.
Rules (FASB) that govern the creation of financial statements are not about tracking the actual flow
of cash through your business. They are focused on measuring profit or loss.
Income does not tell you what happened to your cash balance during the period. It merely defines
net income based on the accounting rules used to create the income statement.
Only one component of understanding and managing your cash flow.

How Sufism Is A Type Of Mystical Islamic Philosophy
Tracing back to the original prophet, Sufism is a type of mystical Islamic philosophy where
Muslims attempt to take a more direct route to finding God and his divineness. Consisting of
different practices and paths that are meant to trace their teachings from the prophet Muhammad
himself, and therefore they see themselves as being practitioners of a perfected type of worship,
or ihsan . While often grouped together as one entity, Sufi orders (called tariqas ) are found in a
wide variety of different Islamic groups and regions, all varying slightly in how they perceive their
version of Islamic mysticism. While they are relatively small in quantity compared to Muslims as a
whole, they have greatly contributed to the shaping of Islamic philosophy and tradition. In this
paper, I will be exploring the Sufi movements in Iran, Turkey, and Senegal and how they have
affected the political systems of their respective countries, while also highlighting key differences
and similarities between them. I have chosen these three countries due to the stark contrasts in how
Sufismis received in them. For example, while Iranian clerics have taken a strict hardline stance
against Sufism that involves prosecution, arrests and even demolition of their places of worship,
Senegal s Sufi leaders influence their government and vice versa. Turkey is in many ways a middle
ground; while first persecuted and forced to go into hiding, today the dominant Sufi movement, the

Hybrid strategy is a problem as IKEA is concentrating only on low cost and differentiating in design
without considering the cultural values and norms enriched in different countries. American
customers want more comfortable sofas, higher quality textiles, bigger glasses, more spacious
entertainment units. Japanese want high quality and great materials, not low price and particle
board. Large Hispanic families need dining tables and sofas that fit more than two people, which is
the Swedish norm. They prefer bold colors to the more subdued Scandinavian palete and display
tons of pictures in elaborate frames. 3.0. Analysis of the External and Internal Analysis 3.1.
External Environment The world is experiencing tremendous and influential change. Although the
company opened 14 new stores in fiscal 2003, sales growth was only 2.7%, largely as a result of
the depressed economic conditions across Europe, the company s core business region (Global
Market Information Database, 2004). Thus, it is clear that, in order to improve performance at a
significant level, simply opening new stores is not enough. Instead, IKEA must assess its external
and competitive environment, determine the key opportunities and threats which face it, and align
its strengths and weaknesses to best counter the weak consumer market, and thus generate the
strong growth it needs to remain a strong brand and presence in its chosen markets (Johnson,
Scholes and Whittington, 2005) 3.1.1 Macro

Are You Familiar With The First Ten Amendments To The...
Are you familiar with the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution? The Founders of
our American government created the Bill of Rights to protect our individual liberties. They
greatly believed in the significance of the overall creation of these particular rights, which happens
to be the basic freedoms of us Americans. However, our government has compromised on these
distinct liberties in the name of security and general welfare in various ways.
To begin, the very first amendment to the United States Constitution grants citizens with the
freedom of speech. The freedom of speech is generally the right to express your own opinion
without restrictions. This typically includes the right not to speak if you do not want to, the right
to advertise goods, products, and services, and even the right to use certain derogatory words and

granted within the right and what is not. For example, if you are in a public place with a good ...

The right to bear arms basically means that you have the right to any weapon that you desire and

restrictions and have some constraints on certain weapons. There are also limits on when you can
purchase these weapons and who has access to these specific firearms. In New York, special
courts will be established for gun possession cases in order to cut gun crime as of January 2016.
These limitations are generally put into action to secure the safety of the citizens. With that being

narrative, the appalling personal experience of each slave is depicted. He accomplishes his

In this, however, it depicts the complex journey of the African slaves that struggled to become
equal. In addition, Equiano s use of imagery clearly depicts the journey of the Africans slaves,
such as The closeness of the place, and the heat of the climate, added to the number in the ship,
which was so crowded that each had scarcely room to turn himself, almost suffocated us (45).
Through the portrayal of this vivid imagery, the reader can feel the distress of the slaves in
which they encountered the journey of the Middle Passage. He emphasizes his emotions, ideals,
and thoughts through the imagery. With the uses of this vivid imagery along with high diction
and intricate sentences, Equiano successfully attempts to inform the reader of the horrid journey
of slave transportation. However, it is not only his unique style alone that fulfils his rhetorical
purpose of depicting the appalling slave experience; in addition, his several rhetorical devices
aid to do so. Equiano s rhetorical devices which include ethos, pathos, and logos abet to define
and accomplish his rhetorical purpose. His ethos, or ethical assurance, is conveyed in his level of
education portrayed by his sentence structure and high diction. Furthermore, as proven in historical
documents, Equiano was a slave aboard one of the many slave ships. With this, the reader can
accredit Equiano s narrative to be a reliable and first hand source to the journey of the Middle
Passage.

How Do Residential Schools Affect First Nations
Not many people are aware of how residential schools have affected First Nations people in Canada.
These Christian boarding schools, which were government sponsored and aimed at assimilating
Indigenous children, have deeply impacted the native population; and descendants of residential
school survivors share the same burdens as their ancestors, even though they didn t attend the
schools themselves. Because of residential schools, domestic abuse and violence is more frequent
within families, many have poor mental health and live in poverty, and finally, many of them are
unable or unwilling to teach their children native languages or other aspects of their culture.
Firstly, domestic abuse and violence is more frequent within families because several generations of
children have grown up without a nurturing family life. As a result, when they become adults, many
of them lack adequate parenting skills, and since they had only experienced abuse as a child, they
start abusing their own children and family members. Hence, the high rate of violence and abuse
among Aboriginal families often causes this vicious cycle to continue over generations. According

after hearing about the many policebrutality crimes against minorities that have been circulating in

The Coexistence of the Media and the Government Essay...
The Coexistence of the Media and the Government
The American media system is spinning out of control in a hyper commercialized frenzy. Fewer
than ten transnational media conglomerates dominate much of our media; fewer than two dozen
account for the overwhelming majority of our newspapers, magazines, films, television, radio, and
books. With every aspect of our media culture now fair game for commercial exploitation, we can
look forward to the full scale commercialization of sports, arts, and education, the disappearance of
notions of public service from public discourse, and the degeneration of journalism, political
coverage, and children s programming under commercial pressure. This concentration of media

Objecting to news coverage, they say, is merely blaming the messenger ; the press claims no
responsibility for the world that it displays.
Journalists and reporters abuse the claim to their first amendment rights, the first instinct of many
journalists is to cry First Amendment! Which is like the military s reflexive use of national
security to rebut any criticism of how it does its work. (Fallows 184). With the first amendment
protecting the media from any criticisms, they have no conscience in what the show or say. The
media is no better than any other sitcom on TV. They do what they have to do for an audience.
Fallows hypothesis that contemporary commercial journalism is essentially a mix of crime stories,
celebrity profiles, consumer news pitched at the upper middle class, and warmed over press
releases is completely and utterly plausible. Everyone knows that big time journalists have become
powerful and prominent. We see them shouting at presidents during White House press
conferences. We hear them offering instant thumbs up/thumbs down verdicts a few seconds after a
politician completes a speech. We know that they swarm from one hot news event to the next from
a press conference by Gennifer Flowers, to a riot site in Los Angeles, to congressional hearings on a
Supreme Court nominee, to the arraignment of Tonya Harding.

Difference Between Prehistory And Pre History
First Long Exam
1.History vs Prehistory
a.What is prehistory and how is this concept or term defined?
Prehistory is a discipline where it composed of series of events happened during the time where
writing was not yet used to record those events. The word itself means before history for it is
associated with the prefix pre which means before yet it was really the combination of the Latin
word prae that means before and the Greek word О№ПѓП„ОїПЃОЇО± which means history. These
are the events that happened in times where in writing was not yet used to record these events.
Events are just based on either being told, predicted or believed by the people from long time ago
and evidences of this events came from excavation of fossils and discovery of materials in places
believed to be the place inhibited by the prehistoric people. It is a discipline where in trained and

The more oxygen flowing through blood and muscle, the better the athlete performs. Any athlete
who uses a performance enhancing drug to deliver more oxygen to their muscles will perform for
longer periods of time throughout the physical activity. Another likely reason an athlete would use
performance enhancing drugs is simply to stimulate the body (Athletes Drug Use). Athletes
constantly need to keep their body stimulated to simply reduce fatigue, gain assertion, and
maintain aggression (Athletes Drug Use). Which is really not much different from a person
drinking coffee in the morning to perk up. Importantly, athletes would use performance enhancing
drugs to mask injuries (Athletes Drug Use). For example, if a wide receiver breaks his finger or
sprains his knee during a game, there are two options: one, the wide receiver can be taken out of
the game or two, the athletic trainer can give the wide receiver an injection to take the pain away,

My Personality And Learning Abilities
Learning the Style
Exploring more in depth about my personality and learning abilities was honestly quite surprising.
It s probably based on the fact that we generalized somewhat false ideas about who we are or how
we think we function. Trying to get a better insight about myself, I took several interpersonal
surveys along with questionnaires that had many evolutional properties. Some I found too close to
spot on, others not so much, and I am not really sure how I feel about the outcome.
The first thing to be uncovered was that I am considered more of an auditory learner over the other
types listed. Auditory learner, you probably hum or talk to yourself or others if you become bored.
People may think you are not paying attention, even though you may be hearing and understanding
everything being said. You store information by the way it sounds, and you have an easier time
understanding spoken instructions than written ones ( What s Your LearningStyle?). I find this to be
very true for myself because written instructions can often be miss interpreted.
When I was younger in school they always thought I had a reading disability, so for years they
had me go to special educational class once a day during the school week. I found myself to be
enraged with everyone involved. I know that I am extremely able to do what they were asking of
me but had no way to express myself about the matter. While suffering with frustration they did a
special education placement test to see where

Poverty In Atlanta Case Study
Atlanta is the capital and largest city in Georgia, with a population of 472,522, and one of the
fastest growing major cities in the United States.1 Originally, known as a railroad settlement, it was
founded in 1837 as the end of the Western Atlantic railroad line (the name changed from
Marthasville to Terminus, to finally Atlanta, the feminine of Atlantic).16 In 1861, became one of
the 11 states seceding from the Union over the issue of slavery.17 It was also the home front during
the Civil War and a major producer of war materials, and the regional transportation and distribution
center.17 Post war, due to railroads, Atlanta continued to economically grow and diversify, along
with its population.17 A large number of African Americans were

Compare And Contrast Mayan Civilization
The Mayan civilizations was one of the Mesoamerican civilizations. It existed around c1800BCE
through 1700CE. The Mayan society was very sophisticated for its time and was one of the most
populated and culturally diverse societies in the world, with its people having amazing skill in areas
such as architecture, agriculture, and writing. The Mayan civilization was located in Central
America, through present day parts of Guatemala, Belize, Salvador, Honduras, Tabasco, Campeche,
and Yucatan. This civilization also shared many similarities with the Egyptians.
The Mayan civilization was made of city states, with many being independent and ruled by their

They were also heavily involved in trading as a Merchant class emerged, and took part in long
distance trading with other societies in Mesoamerica. Crops that they grew included corn, beans,
manioc, and squash. They would also trade for salt, cacao, and seashells.
The Mayans were also famous for their progress in astronomy. The Mayan people were very
interested in knowing more about what went on above, and studies the constellations, and were
even the first to discover the Orion Nebula. They also observed the movement of the planets, sun
and earth.
More areas of note of the Mayans include their calendar and writing system. Their calendar
included a 260 day sacred year and a 365 day secular year, which restarted every 52 years. The
Egyptians also had a calendar system. Today, the calendar is still used today by multiple groups in

The Meaning Of The Word Profession
Across academia, scholars debate the meaning of the word profession. The term invokes many
connotations and expectations, but few can agree on an actual meaning.1 Geoffrey Millerson, a
prominent sociologist, defined profession as a type of higher grade, non manual occupation, with
both subjectively and objectively recognized occupational status, possessing a well defined area of
study or concern and providing a definite service, after advanced training and education. 2
According to Millerson s definition, the United States Armyis in fact a profession.
Millerson identifies the first component of a profession as higher grade, non manual occupation .
Many academics agree that a key component of a profession is specialized skill based on a body of
knowledge.3 Initially, many will contend that the U.S. Army does not pass the first requirement.
Soldiers work long and hard often completing tasks requiring physical strength and endurance. At
first glance, the composition and mission of the military undermines the definition of a profession.
Obviously, the military relies on a certain amount of physical labor to complete its mission.
However, the military is also composed of personnel who manage and direct the employment of
assets to strategically, operationally, or tactically defeat the enemy. The knowledge required to
employ those capabilities offsets the physical labor necessary to accomplish the task. The army
requires officers to be educated and to fulfill

Phase One, define the target audience: The first step in project is to meet with all the project stake
holders to define the target audience. This is a critical step because it will inform all the others
regarding the look, feel, content, and over all aesthetic of the site. Given that this website is a

that will use the product.
Phase Two, create a site map/wireframes: In this step the website will be outlined by the

effective tool for VIVIASEL from day one. A subsequent internal LMR review will take place
during this phase which will ensure all of the website content is compliant and displayed correctly.
Phase five, tracking and analytics: In this step, the completed website will have its tracking suite
installed. Given that the website is based on a Joomla CMS, the best tracking suite to use is
JRealTime analytics. This 3rd party plug in will integrate with the website to provide detailed

A Palace Thief Analysis
In A Palace Thief by Ethan Canin, Mr. Hundert is a teacher who, while good at heart, makes
unethical decisions in times of duress. While others may argue that he also make ethical
decisions, these ideas are quickly depressed with solid evidence. Appearing throughout the story
are examples of this behavior, and even though this story spans over many decades, these
decisions are spread evenly in the story. Certain variables such as his place of work may cause
these actions. Mr. Hundert educates students in a school that is located in the outermost part of
Washington DC. This school is limited to boys and provides housing to said boys. Due to its
location, many students are children of people who are currently in office. During the school year,
a new, distinct student arrives. This student, named Sedgewick Bell, is the son of a senator. This
child does not lack any confidence in his actions, and this trait gets him into trouble. This behavior
prompts Mr. Hundert to call the senator s office and the man, ... agreed to meet me one afternoon
the following week. (pg. 161) Most if not all teachers have not even thought about doing this type
of thing. In a majority of schools around the country today and within the last decade have invited
parents into the school to talk with teachers; the teachers do not organize a meeting at the home or
office of a parent. Mr. Hundert has voluntarily agreed to fight the battle in the senator s territory,
giving up all previously owned authority. While others may contradict this concept, they would be
incorrect. They may argue that this is not a very important decision as it may be minor. This would
not be correct as this leads to the senator showing evidence that he believes that he is higher than
Mr. Hundert. This is demonstrated by the conversationwith the senator. Thus, this conversation
demonstrates that authority has been transferred from Mr. Hundert to Senator Bell. While this
conversation is occurring between the senator and the teacher, an offer is made. The senator
acknowledges that the teacher is indeed a history buff . With this knowledge, he offers an old
revolver that the senator just received. Hundert states, he proceeded to show me an antique sidearm

Latin American Revolution Research Paper
The Independence of Latin America was complex, but surprisingly rapid, achieved through a
number of characteristically different types of revolutions that liberated the Spanish and
Portuguese colonies from the oppressive rule of the Iberian powers. Much of the desire for
independence, or at the very least for social and political change, in Latin Americawas fueled by
Enlightenment thought and political upheaval across the Atlantic and it was informed by the
French Revolution, Napoleon s rise to power in Europe, as well as the successful Haitian
Revolution, much closer to home. In Brazil, Mexico, and Venezuela the roads to independence
were markedly different; however, each revolution was inspired by Enlightenment Philosophy s
ideas of freedom... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Napoleon s troops invaded Portugal, the king, John VI, fled with his family to Brazil. The
creoles of Brazil, while they wanted to maintain their social authority and privileges, felt
culturally different than the Portuguese and desired independence. When John VI eventually
returned to Portugal, he left his son Pedro in Brazil. Local elites convinced Pedro to claim Brazil
as an independent power, with him as their leader and he became Emperor Pedro I of an
independent Brazil by the end of 1822. In Mexico, the revolution and bid for independence was
not nearly so easy. After Hildago s rebellion another priest, and JosГ© MarГa Morelos y PavГіn
lead another uprising that lasted until 1815. A guerrilla war in Mexico persisted under the
leadership of Vincente Guerrero. With the reinstatement of the liberal Spanish Constitution of 1820
Mexican elites decided to join the side of the creoles and call for independence from Spain.
Guerrero and the creole officer, AgustГn de Iturbide joined forces with the Plan de Ayala and
together achieved Mexican independence in 1821. Iturbide was made Emperor of Mexico, but
his conservative reign was short lived as his empire fell in 1823 when Mexico became a federal
republic. Following Mexico s example Central America declared itself a republic, eventually
breaking up into Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. In Venezuela, a
group of creole revolutionaries, including SimГіn Bolivar, had seized power in Caracas from 1810
1812. Royalists captured the rebel creole leader Francisco de Miranda and BolГvar fled to
Colombia returning with a rebel army in 1819 and seizing territory in New Granada. BolГvar
sought independence for all of South America and appealed to a common sense of American ness

No doubt, having a good memory is a vital part of healthy living. Our brain has the capacity to
remember huge amounts of information because millions of neural connections facilitate storing
and retrieval of facts and figures.
It is important to note that no one needs to store everything indefinitely. In fact, there are some
things we would rather forget. Nevertheless, you need to regularly retain significant information for
limited periods. This is called short term memory. For example, short term memory helps you retain
information to compare prices of items on your shopping list. ... Show more content on

A Brief Note On Sub Saharan Region As Low Developing...
Sub Saharan region as low developing countries are claimed to have a low electricity access and
modern cooking access though they have a large supply of energy resources. In the recent years,
there is a huge jump of their economic performances, however, the improvement is limited because
of the inefficiencies of power sector and poor power infrastructure are dragging its back. In line
with the population growth in Africa, they all become the constraints of further economic
development due to the lowering of electricity access rate. Thus, the low generation and access
levels will result in a low per capita consumption. In fact, not only traditional biomass fuels lead to
an unstable electricity supply, drawbacks to the economic, social and environmental aspects are
also brought by the severe indoor air pollution which may damage human health. The three
readings below give readers a thorough and detailed analysis based on the ways to widen the
energy access in sub Saharan Africain order to achieve the energy access goal set by the FEMA and
some regional economic organisations.
Prasad s is an insightful one with the thesis of boosting the performance of woodfuel sector and
upgrading the promotion of improved cookstoves are essential to raise the rate of energy access
in sub Saharan Africa. The author first points out the key reasons lie behind of the low energy
access levels are: low consumption of electricity by the low income of the residents in the areas,

Benefits Of Population Health
Population Health and Related Costs
Sugar sweetened beverages have high caloric values and low nutritional value. The positive
association between SSB consumption and cases of increased weights and risks for diabetes has
certainly drawn public attention. Other medical problems that are correlated include metabolic
syndrome, hypocalcemia, kidney stones, increased blood pressure, hypertension, and coronary heart
disease (DeSantis). According to a study commissioned by the World Health Organization(WHO),
20% of weight gain over thirty years in the US was caused by SSB consumption in children and
adults. An additional serving of one SSB per day is equated to an additional 0.06 unit increase in

If the penny per ounce tax were to be implemented nationwide, over ten years, there would be an
estimated savings of $9.6 billion for diabetes related costs and $7.4 billion for cardiovascular
disease related costs (Wang). Moreover, the reduction in numbers of strokes and premature deaths
linked to the consumption of SSBs further savings on medical costs. As a result, the nation can
reduce wasteful healthcare spending and focus on funding medical improvements.
Key Players
Though the tax is levied against the distributors of the sugar sweetened beverages, the concept
of tax passing is apparent as prices of taxed beverages is passed on to consumers. Differing from
the common sales tax, an excise tax is levied on producers and... passed on to the consumer via
the product s price tag (Wang). Data collected by the Public Health Instituted displayed that, in
Berkeley, where the excise tax had passed in 2014, store prices of taxed beverages were bumped
up. Adjusted for tax and inflation, prices for tax beverages rose from December 2014 to March
2016 by about $0.0107 per ounce in large supermarkets and $0.0131 per ounce in small chain
supermarkets and gas stations (Silver). Customers are being forced to pay prices increases than the
penny per ounce policy in order to obtain a single beverage.
On the other hand, smaller businesses experience more difficulty in the face of the SSB tax.

Is It Better For Fix Or Float Interest Rates On The...
Is it better to fix or float interest rates in the current economic environment? This is the question
now facing Marcus Garvey who is planning to buy his first home in October of this year. Making
the right decision on whether to fix or float interest rates on a mortgage and for what period could
be the difference of thousands paid to the bank in additional interest. To assist Marcus in this
decision, this essay has looked at many variables. Firstly, and most importantly, what interest rates
are expected to do in the short term future? Secondly, what are the advantages and disadvantages
of both fixed and floating loans and how these will affect Marcus based on the information we
know about him. We also look at the unknowns of Marcus s situation that may lead to an
alteration in recommendation. Thirdly we will look at how long of a fixed period would be
recommended to have the most economic benefit for Marcus if he decides to go with this option.
Based on the information given on Marcus, and what we have learnt about the current environment,
it is decided to recommend that Marcus either fix his whole mortgage, or fix the majority while
leaving a small portion floating. There are many variables that must be considered when deciding
to fix or float and not knowing Marcus situation in relation to these variables, this would be the
safest option.

Schizophrenia Is A Disorder Of The Brain
Schizophrenia is a disorder of the brain that affects how a person feels, thinks, and how they
observe the world around them. People with schizophrenia may seem like they have lost touch with
reality (nimh.nih.gov, 2016). The media used was a movie called Canvas, which the mother has
schizophrenia. She continues to worsen over time until she gets help. The movie expresses her
hallucinations and delusions, and how they affect her and her family life. The development of

way.
Schizophrenia has many different behaviors and moods with disorders of thoughts and movement

Film Analysis Of The Movie Life Is Beautiful
When I watched Life is Beautiful I thought the movie was very interesting. I love how Guido is
very hopeful and making sure his son doesn t feel unhappy or know where and what they are
really doing at the concentration camp. In the movie it takes in the late 1930s in Italy. There is
a waiter named Guido that is trying to win over this teacher, which is Dora with his is charm
and sense of humor. They eventually get married and they have a son named Giosue. They are
all very happy until their happiness is interrupted Guido and Giosue are taken away from Dora
and are taken to a concentration camp. Dora doesn t want to leave them alone so she goes on
the train also to be with them. Guido simply doesn t want Giosue to know about where he is and
what s happening so he tells Giosue that it is a game where they are and there is a prize at the
end if they come in first place with the right amount of points. The actors and actresses in Life is
Beautiful were all pretty good in my opinion. My favorite actorin the movie would probably be
Roberto Benigni. I just love how sweet and caring he is to Giosue. He just wants to protect his son
from getting hurt and helping him stay away from any harm or danger. Nicoletta Braschithat plays
Dora. She isn t really in the movie a whole bunch but my favorite scene is where she finds out

Crime And Fear Of Crime
When it comes to issues of crime and criminals, there are numerous potential influences that can
shape an individual s perceptions. Additionally, a major factor of perceptions of crime is the
underlying emotional reactions to crime and criminal issues. These emotions about crime are vary
from person to person but fear of crimetends to be regarded as the most influential response, as
represented by the vast research conducted on the topic of fear of crime and its effects. In this
paper, three articles that relate to perceptions about crime and the emotional reactions people have
to crime and criminal issues will be examined. The first article, Emotions about Crime and Attitudes
to Punishment, examines the topic of fear of crime by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The dependent variables in this study were punitive attitudes of the respondents and the emotional
reactions to crime, each of which were measured by asking respondents a series of questions
relating to the variable on a ten point scale. To isolate the impacts of the dependent variables within
the study, Hartnegel and Templeton included the measurements of age, gender, education, and
household income as control variables. Finally, the independent variables in the study were the self
report of victimization, economic insecurity, political conservation, and internal attribution style,
each measured by asking respondents to agree or disagree to various questions about each subject.
From the data garnered through the survey, Hartnagel and Templeton concluded that respondents
that reported more anger about crime than fear or worry were also likely to have a higher score in
punitive attitudes. In accordance with their hypothesis, the results showed that anger about crime
was more impactful on punitive attitudes than fear of crime. In response to this finding, Hartnagel
and Templeton (2012) argued that the strength of the anger about crime variable adds weight to the
claims of those who regard anger as the emotion most associated with issues of crime and justice
(p. 467). In

Viruses Are Parasites Using Its Host s Cells
Viruses are parasites using its host s cells to replicate its own genome (Freeman, 2011). Viruses
have either a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA) genome that affects its
specific named genome. Types of RNA viruses include positive strand, negative strand, double
strand and RNA transcriptase. RNAviruses have evolved into effective pathogens that mutate at
high rates. This allows them an advantage over their host to effectively evade the immune system
through several mechanisms, such as mimicry, avoiding cell lysis, and phagocytosis. Their
ability to bypass a cell s normal process of proof reading and error correction is what makes RNA
viruses such effective pathogens. Almost all RNA viruses are termed emerging infectious diseases
because they are already known, but are increasing rapidly in new areas. There are a few emerging
infectious RNA viruses that have reappeared into the population and have the potential to cause an
epidemic.
Ebola hemorrhagic disease, rabies, influenza and HIV are examples of RNA viruses and a few of
these viruses have yet to be thoroughly researched. An example of an RNA virus that mutates and
evolves at a high rate is the influenza virus. The influenza virus can mutate in two different ways;
antigenic shift which is an abrupt change and by antigenic drift which is a smaller, more gradual
change that occurs through point mutations (Uyeki 2014). These changes are what help the virus to
evade the host s immune system. Another

Dependable Tray Truck Research Paper
Growing up in a family that runs a construction supplies store, I completely understand how
important it is to invest in a dependable tray truck. Essentially, having the right rig in your
business will make it easier for you to ship your building materials, such as cement, sand, glass
fibers, and wood, to your customers location safely and on time. Now, if you re currently in the
hunt for a tray truck to add to your operations, I know a couple of models that you can look into.
I will share them all with you, starting with my most favored: the Hino Dutro 616. Impressively,
this Hino working dog is one of the trucks that has received several good feedback from
operators. Let s figure out why by getting into its features and capabilities below. Hino Dutro 616
Tray Truck: Key Features Reliable My family actually had the chance to work with the Hino
Dutro 616 before, and all I can say is that it is truly a reliable tray truck. What powers it is a 4.0
litre intercooled turbo diesel engine that can produce up to 150 horsepower. It also integrates a 5
speed manual transmission that makes the rig easy to maneuver and drive around town. Robust
body Apart from the excellent power, the Dutro 616 boasts its robust body as well. Measuring
4,530 mm long and 2,300 mm wide, its steel tray body is ROPS certified and can handle almost all

If you will ask me, what I like about it is its dependability. For such a light duty tray truck, it still
has the strength to carry your building materials and deliver them to your customers locations
safely and on time. Another thing that I like about it is the fact that it is budget friendly. Imagine,
for only around $26,355 AUD, you can already have a ergonomically designed rig that can serve
as your partner on the highway. Summing up, this Dutro 616 is a smart pick and a vehicle that is

  • 2. The Corruption Of Saddam Hussein Throughout history corruption has been laid upon many countries changing it in numerous ways. This corruption derives through certain people, creating a havoc for those having to follow orders set by leaders they blindly follow. In Iraq, citizens have been tortured, forced to relocate their families, arrested and murdered. All of this happened under the control of Saddam Hussein and we have neither found, nor did he offer an explanation to these actions. He has been notorious for attacking people who disagreed with his opinions, especially other politicians that would give any sort of competition to access leadership for Iraq. He is responsible for persecuting and denying his own citizens human rights. Not only physically but financially, spending all of the countries money on monuments and palaces as he watches his people die from malnutrition and lack of medical attention. Saddam Hussein was born on April 28, 1937 in a village called Ouja, near Tikrit in Northern Iraq, He grew up in a broken home, His family was poor, they were peasants who did not have a home. He grew up without a father, it is unknown if his father died or disappeared when he was younger. When he was still a child, he was sent to live with his uncle, Khairallah Tulfah, who made a deep impact on what Hussein later did in his life. There is proof that Saddam was connected to violence at an early age. There are several reports that link him to the murders of a school teacher and/or a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Does Neutralization Cause Crime Criminals who commit crime neutralize the belief that their crime is bad by way of using neutralization techniques which are denial of injury, denial of the victim, condemnation of condemners, appeal to higher loyalties and self fulfillment. Neutralization does not cause crime however it does give offenders reasons to commit crimebecause it causes them to feel that what they are going to do is not that bad. It is reported that hackers found it easier to crack software codes, access and download files or commit digital piracy because they feel they are not stealing but copying files. Carnivalis a time of happiness and celebration for everyone, but in this tale, it is a time for revenge and death because by the end, Fortunato is in precisely the opposite of a carnival atmosphere (Reynolds 105). But then later we upgrade a hard drive, add RAM, replace something, etc. A replacement NIC can be a separate component. Anna:I know we custom build some PCs. What about them? Jeff:A PC that we build from individual parts is all components. Anna:So, if everything is a component, is there any information that pertains to the PC in general? Jeff:Yes. The anomalies were an enlarged spleen, enlarged thymus and enlarged lymph nodes. 3.1 The Spleen The spleen is an organ of the immune system (lymphatic system). It function is filter the blood and maintain it in a healthy way. The spleen produces two types of pulp to perform its function, the red and the white pulp (Goodenough McGuire, 2014). The red pulp filters the damaged blood cells, palates and foreign materials in the blood, so it recycles the blood. On other hand, the white pulp is composed from lymphocytes, macrophages and plasma cells that help clean the blood. These two pulps work interchangeably to make sure the blood is filtered completely from any foreign materials and dead cells. Splenomegaly, which is the enlargement of the spleen, could happen due to four main causes, which were cancer, infection, liver or blood diseases (Kuntz, 2006). An enlarged spleen causes hypersplenism; it is a process where the spleen increases the filtration process of the blood cells. • 10. Managing Cash Flow Management ( Cfm ) Managing Cash Flow Cash Flow is composed of revenue or expense streams that change cash accounts over a specified period. The statement of cash flows showing the amount of cash generated and used by a company during the period is calculated by adding noncash charges (such as depreciation) to net income after taxes. Changes in cash are usually derived from one of three activities financing, operations or investing. Sales growth can conceal many problems. When managing a growing company, watch expenses carefully. If you see expenses growing faster than sales, examine costs carefully to find places to cut or control them. The lag between the time you have to pay your suppliers and employees and the time you collect from your customers can be a problem. The solution is cash flow management (CFM). CFM means delaying disbursements of cash as long as possible while requiring anyone who owes you money to pay it quickly. Rules (FASB) that govern the creation of financial statements are not about tracking the actual flow of cash through your business. They are focused on measuring profit or loss. Income does not tell you what happened to your cash balance during the period. It merely defines net income based on the accounting rules used to create the income statement. Only one component of understanding and managing your cash flow. While often grouped together as one entity, Sufi orders (called tariqas ) are found in a wide variety of different Islamic groups and regions, all varying slightly in how they perceive their version of Islamic mysticism. While they are relatively small in quantity compared to Muslims as a whole, they have greatly contributed to the shaping of Islamic philosophy and tradition. In this paper, I will be exploring the Sufi movements in Iran, Turkey, and Senegal and how they have affected the political systems of their respective countries, while also highlighting key differences and similarities between them. I have chosen these three countries due to the stark contrasts in how Sufismis received in them. For example, while Iranian clerics have taken a strict hardline stance against Sufism that involves prosecution, arrests and even demolition of their places of worship, Senegal s Sufi leaders influence their government and vice versa. Turkey is in many ways a middle ground; while first persecuted and forced to go into hiding, today the dominant Sufi movement, the Naqshbandiyya, works hand in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These Christian boarding schools, which were government sponsored and aimed at assimilating Indigenous children, have deeply impacted the native population; and descendants of residential school survivors share the same burdens as their ancestors, even though they didn t attend the schools themselves. Because of residential schools, domestic abuse and violence is more frequent within families, many have poor mental health and live in poverty, and finally, many of them are unable or unwilling to teach their children native languages or other aspects of their culture. Firstly, domestic abuse and violence is more frequent within families because several generations of children have grown up without a nurturing family life. As a result, when they become adults, many of them lack adequate parenting skills, and since they had only experienced abuse as a child, they start abusing their own children and family members. I love how Guido is very hopeful and making sure his son doesn t feel unhappy or know where and what they are really doing at the concentration camp. In the movie it takes in the late 1930s in Italy. There is a waiter named Guido that is trying to win over this teacher, which is Dora with his is charm and sense of humor. They eventually get married and they have a son named Giosue. They are all very happy until their happiness is interrupted Guido and Giosue are taken away from Dora and are taken to a concentration camp. Dora doesn t want to leave them alone so she goes on the train also to be with them. Guido simply doesn t want Giosue to know about where he is and what s happening so he tells Giosue that it is a game where they are and there is a prize at the end if they come in first place with the right amount of points. The actors and actresses in Life is Beautiful were all pretty good in my opinion. My favorite actorin the movie would probably be Roberto Benigni. I just love how sweet and caring he is to Giosue. He just wants to protect his son from getting hurt and helping him stay away from any harm or danger. Nicoletta Braschithat plays Dora. Finally, the independent variables in the study were the self report of victimization, economic insecurity, political conservation, and internal attribution style, each measured by asking respondents to agree or disagree to various questions about each subject. From the data garnered through the survey, Hartnagel and Templeton concluded that respondents that reported more anger about crime than fear or worry were also likely to have a higher score in punitive attitudes. In accordance with their hypothesis, the results showed that anger about crime was more impactful on punitive attitudes than fear of crime. • 43. Viruses Are Parasites Using Its Host s Cells Viruses are parasites using its host s cells to replicate its own genome (Freeman, 2011). Viruses have either a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA) genome that affects its specific named genome. Types of RNA viruses include positive strand, negative strand, double strand and RNA transcriptase. RNAviruses have evolved into effective pathogens that mutate at high rates. This allows them an advantage over their host to effectively evade the immune system through several mechanisms, such as mimicry, avoiding cell lysis, and phagocytosis. Their ability to bypass a cell s normal process of proof reading and error correction is what makes RNA viruses such effective pathogens. Almost all RNA viruses are termed emerging infectious diseases because they are already known, but are increasing rapidly in new areas. There are a few emerging infectious RNA viruses that have reappeared into the population and have the potential to cause an epidemic. Ebola hemorrhagic disease, rabies, influenza and HIV are examples of RNA viruses and a few of these viruses have yet to be thoroughly researched. An example of an RNA virus that mutates and evolves at a high rate is the influenza virus. The influenza virus can mutate in two different ways; antigenic shift which is an abrupt change and by antigenic drift which is a smaller, more gradual change that occurs through point mutations (Uyeki 2014). These changes are what help the virus to evade the host s immune system. Another ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
