Proposal for SBS 2011 Essay examples
Here at Knight Lite, commitment to long term operations is of great importance. Taking pride in a
growing customer database and knowing how well business has flourished are two key factors in
determining how current operations are beginning to show age and are no longer fit for the
company. Technically, the current in house systems are running Windows 2000 Pro and are
centrally connected to server, with a Small Business Server 2003 configuration. A migration to
newer operating systems highly recommended in order to achieve optimal work performance, with
all terminals upgrading to Windows 7 Enterprise and the server over hauled to Small Business
Server Standard Edition 2011.

As far as hardware requirement, the real world cost is not too much. A decent home based
server would range in cost from roughly $400 to $500. The Small Business Server 2011
operating system, however, currently sells for about $1,000. The software cost can rise,
depending on the amount of CALs (Client Access Licenses) that are purchased. Customers can
acquire additional 5 packs of CALs for the number of users or devices they wish to connect to
Windows Small Business Server 2011 through Microsoft at about $360 (Microsoft Online Store).
With that in mind, Knight Lite as a company would need to pay around $2,000 to cover all the
users and their devices. Despite the initial cost to migrate to Small Business Server 2011, there are
quite a few benefits that greatly outweigh the negatives, one of these being the configuration of the
server and the user access. Attached is a screen shot of the standard task list that is automatically

The Moment Of Conception Of The Zombie
The Moment of Conception For an object to be considered monstrous, it must deviate from its
natural order. It is something unnatural. When a family is enjoying a nice walk in the park and a
flesh eating zombie suddenly approaches them, the zombie is considered monstrous, a monstrosity;
a monster. Zombies do not fit in the normative expectations for humanbeings. How and when these
zombies deviate from the expectations for humans is the great question. When does a zombie
become a zombie? The moment of conception for a zombie is when they lose their consciousness:
the essence of self. To the modern person, zombies are known as the flesh eating, gory looking
corpse of a human being that is searching the world for brains and bodies. This allusion of what a
zombie is comes from the recent decade s depiction of them in our culture. Movies Shaun of the
Dead (2004), Zombieland (2009), and popular television series The Walking Dead (2010
present) all portray zombies to be a menace to society. They are aimlessly roaming the world in
search of food, which coincidently happens to be humans, and often killed by humans in fear of
their safety. None of these depictions of zombies tell us what a zombie actually is. A zombie can
be defined in countless ways. The author Robert Kirk looks at zombies in a philosophical manner,
allowing us to view them in a way similar to humans.
Philosophical zombies are exactly like us in all physical respects, right down to the tiniest details,

Capital Punishment Should Be Eliminated
Throughout the history of humanity, punishments have been in place for the wrongful acts of
citizens within governmental systems of all kinds. In America during the early days of the country,
the death penalty was a more viable solution than it appears today due to the quality of the prisons,
which couldn t sustain prisoners long term. (Von Drehle, 2015). Today, this is not an issue with
prisons that are provided both by the state and federal governments and that are fully capable of
holding offenders throughout the length of a life sentence (Von Drehle, 2015). However, many will
argue that capital punishmentshould be eliminated. Foes of the death penalty are split into two
groups with one that argues that capital punishment should and will cease based upon public
support, that it doesn t deter crime, and the current processes of executions are too costly and
problematic. The other will take a more humanitarian approach and claim that it is not the role of
the government to decide the fate of an individual, and that crimes punishable by death are not
justifiable. Determent, morals, severity of the crime, and revenge are among the many arguments
that are geared in favor of protecting a centuries old government system. These groups give more
pragmatic reasons as arguments. Currently, the United States is alone among other democracies by
not being in similar standing as western European countries, such as Germany and France, where
the death penalty has been completely

A Survey On Web Personalization For Recommendations Essay
A SURVEY ON WEB PERSONALIZATION FOR RECOMMENDATIONS ABSTRACT Data
mining is a process of extracting the information from the large set of databases. As the web
contain huge amount of information finding the exact information of which user required is
difficult. Web personalization is a process of analyzing the user?s navigational behavior based on
web sequence access performed by the user based on which recommendations are done. Web usage
mining plays an important role in recommendation of pages to user based on user interest. Different
kinds of technics and algorithms are used for web personalization and recommendation of pages.
The technics of data mining such as collaborative filtering, association rule mining, ontology,
support vector machine, sequence access patterns and web log mining are compared to know
which technic is more efficient for recommendation of web pages based on web personalization. A
survey conducted to find which technic easily recommends the web pages to user such that it
consumes less time for searching the information. The paper proposes the technic that provides
efficient results for recommendation of pages to user based on user interest comparing parameters
like precision and recall and matching algorithm. Web log based recommendations are more
efficient when compared to other technics as it consumes less time for searching the relevant
information. The survey gives the result in the form of the graph for different parameters. Index

Essay on Comparing Maryland and Texas
You are a product of your environment. So choose the environment that will best develop you
toward your objective. (Stone, 1962) The words stated prior by William Clement Stone have
never proved to be more accurate. A person s place of living, whether chosen, suggested, or
forced, has a great affect on their future years to come. Depending on a person s environment,
they can succeed or fail; linger around or progress. The further proceedings do not serve the
purpose to knock or bring shame or favor to one geographical area. Though every state has its
pros and cons, one may highly favor one state over the other. In my case, I fancy Texasover
Maryland. The topics that had a heavy impact on my decision were the similarities and/or... Show

Texas is one of few states that are known for their delicious bar b que and food in general. I love
the juicy ribs dripping in bbq sauce with a side of a loaded baked potato, honey baked beans and
coleslaw. Nevertheless, when I moved to Maryland, all I could find was imitation Texas bbq
restaurants. To this day, ten years after moving to Maryland, I have yet to know what food
Maryland is known for; I was told crabs. I truly despise eating crabs because it takes to much
effort. Why would anyone want to have to crack the crab leg, separate the shells from the meat
repeatedly? When I m hungry, I don t want to have to constantly crack crab legs constantly and
still be hungry afterwards. With that being said, we will now draw our attention to the offering of
such delicious food; hospitality. Have you ever watched a television episode of a series in which
a newlywed couple or family moves into a new neighborhood and unexpectedly the doorbell rings
and it s one of the neighbors smiling ear to ear while holding a scrumptious looking homemade
cake? Guess what. This is actually done in reality in Texas! Just a little something we like to call
southern hospitality . Southern hospitality includes, but is not limited to welcoming newcomers,
holding doors for women, and cooking enough food for guests that may be around at mealtime
(thou not invited). People outside the region tend to

Gun Violence In America
Gun Violence in the United States of America
Every day there is another story in the news about excessive gun violence, accidents with guns
involving children who found loaded guns in the house or unnecessary gun violence by police
forces. Due to the US allowing and making it so easy for citizens to have guns and for their
security forces to shoot without strict rules or consequences, lots of innocent people are killed
without having any way to defend themselves.
ICCPR
US is in violation of their human rights obligations under article 6 of the ICCPR right to life
because it s not protecting the lives of its citizens, it is allowing excessive gun violence (by police
forces) and it has insufficient violations of guns by people who are not even supposed to possess
guns. The US is especially in violation because it fails to control its police department on the use of
gun violence.
The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is an international treaty, which
entered into force 23 March 1976. The United States of America signed the treaty in 1977 and
ratified it in 1992. The main purpose of the ICCPR is to protect human rights, as it protects civil,
political, economic, social and cultural rights. The ICCPR addresses the right to life and that
nobody should be deprived of that right. However, the current gun violence in the United States is
taking away the right to life.
The body who interpreters the ICCPR is the Human Rights Committee, this is laid

DATA AND METHODOLOGY
In this chapter, data collected for analysis will be discussed. The paper will continue with
discussion of the variables included in the sample. Relevance of the variables for the research will
be assessed basing on theoretical and empirical evidence. Sample data description
Building on the research of previous studies in the area of credit risk, this paper investigates the US
corporate bond markets from January 2006 to December 2013. Data on bonds and issuers is
extracted from Bloomberg database. According to objectives of the study, the firms, which issued
corporate bonds, are chosen in financial and industrial sectors.
To identify the corporate bonds that are relevant for research, the following criteria are applied
in this study: Bonds are issued by publicly listed corporations in financial and industrial sectors.
Bonds are US denominated and issuers of bonds are officially registered in the US. It is
implemented to narrow the scope of this study only to the US bonds. Bonds are actively traded.
Bonds that matured before December 2013 are not included in the sample. Bonds that do not have
option like features or any other special properties. This means that sinkable, convertible, puttable
and callable bonds, and corporate bonds with floating rates, inflation indexed bonds are excluded.
To enter the sample, data on bond must provide at least 25 months of consecutive observations.
Bonds with a maturity more than one year. Bonds are

The Healing Circle Is Valuable Technique
The healing circle is valuable technique used within Aboriginal communities to initiate healing
through their own traditional belief systems (Stevenson, 1999). Traditionally, a sharing of one s
journey is a great teacher, for it acknowledges that the pain, laughter, and love we experience can
bring us closer together and helps us to learn from one another s experiences (Stevenson, 1999,
p.9). Moreover, Aboriginal peoples created the healing circleto help each other learn by personal
experiences, and to ensure the communitysays connected to one another. An organization that uses

During this type of healing circle, the offence will be discussed as well as how it affected the victim
and the community and the relationship between them and the offender (Justice Education Society,
2016). Not only does the circle attempt to heal community ties, the circle also focuses on the
offender and the fundamental causes of their offence (Justice Education Society, 2016). Following a
healing circle that is directed towards offenders and victims, a consensus is taken to decide the
subsequent steps that should be taken by the offender to correct the harms caused by their actions
(Justice Education Society, 2016). These steps could include specialized counseling or treatment
programs, community work service, potlatch or other traditional remedies, direct restitution to the
victim or community and in some cases, unique and creative solutions emerge (Justice Education
Society, 2016).

Mexican-American Schools Case Study
1.)What were the issues raised by Chicanos in the East LA schools?
a.)Chicano students and parents saw the negligence that teachers had against the minorities,
especially on them. They felt like the school did not care for the education of their students; they
merely stood in class with nothing or little to teach from their old books. The students also found
that they were being placed in classes that would teach them to do labor jobs.
b.)Chicano students were not learning properly in their overcrowded classes and old textbooks. The
community then understood that nothing as going to change if they didn t do something

The Emotions of Captivity in Psalm 137 Essay
The book of Psalms contains some of the most beloved pieces of scripture across centuries and
cultures of this world. Psalms have been frequently cited is sermons, devotionals, movies, poetry,
and songs. Most often, Psalms are attributed to King David of the 10th century BCE. But regardless
of the authorship of the different psalms, each seem to carry a special place in describing human
relationships to God, to country, to friends, to enemies and more. As time has progressed, certain
psalms have become favorites because of their encouraging and uplifting messages, such as the
timeless Psalm 23. However, other psalms are neglected in Christian circles because of the
difficulty they present in interpretation. Often, these psalms are... Show more content on

For there our captors demanded of us songs, And our tormentors mirth, saying, Sing us one of
the songs of Zion. How can we sing the Lord s song in a foreign land? If I forget you, O
Jerusalem, May my right hand forget her skill. May my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth.
If I do not remember you, if I do not exalt Jerusalem, above my chief joy. Remember, O Lord,
against the sons of Edom the day of Jerusalem, who said, Raze it, raze it, to its very foundation.
O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, how blessed will be the one who repays you with
the recompense with which you have repaid us. How blessed will be the one who seizes and
dashes your little ones against the rock. (Ps 137, NASB) It is not often that theologians can
agree upon the date of authorship of a text, but Psalm 137 is an exception. It is widely accepted
that this psalm was written during or shortly after the exilic waves of the Southern Kingdom
during the Babylonian captivity of 597 BCE and 587 BCE , extending to 538 BCE . While no
specific author is identified as the author of Psalm 137, it certainly is not King David due to the
time elapse from King David s reign and the Babylonian Captivity. The anguish described in the
beginning of the Psalm paired with the vengeful remarks at the end of the Psalm, in addition to the
reference to Babylon while the writer s heart longs for Zion undoubtedly make this Psalm a
description of the exile written during or shortly

Policy And Institutional Frameworks On Vegetable Seed...
Policy and institutional frameworks impacting on vegetable seed production and distribution
systems in Cameroon
Abstract:
This study assessed policy and institutional frameworks impacting on vegetable seed production and
distribution systems in Cameroon in order to establish benchmark indicators for successful
integration and/or diversification of vegetables into existing cocoa based farming systems in the
humid tropics of Cameroon. Results reveal that official regulations and other policy instruments
necessary to boost the vegetable seed sector in Cameroon do exist, but need to be re formulated
into more concrete and implementable actions on the ground. The study identified and
characterized two main vegetable seed supply systems namely: the dominant informal system
dealing mainly with traditional vegetable species such as Amaranthus spp (amaranth) and the
formal seed supply system characterised by mostly by the production and sale of globally
important vegetable seed such as Brassica oleracea var. capitata (cabbage). The major constraints
observed in the vegetable seed sub sector include the inadaptability of legal instruments to the
vegetable seed sector, absence of effective storage conditions, absence of seed testing facilities,
poor knowledge on seed production and processing and the heterogeneity of seeds. Consequently,
farmers are obliged to fall back to unimproved seeds to the detriment of agricultural yields.
Key words: Legal instruments, policy framework,

Similarities Between Marionettes Inc. And Dark They Were...
Ray Bradbury is an exceptionally great writer, who has written countless stories including The
Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 . Bradbury was born in Waukegan, Illinois in 1920 and
at age 14 moved to Los Angeles. In 1937 he joined a SciFi league and had his first book
published at the age of 18. He often writes about nostalgia for childhood, social criticism, and the
hazards of runaway technology. These are ideas the Bradbury believes in and feels strongly about.
This is shown in two of his short stories, Marionettes, Inc. and Dark They Were and Golden Eyed .
These stories characterize protagonists in similar ways and antagonists in different ways,

Characteristics Of Modern Christianity
1. A Unique and Important Practice in Modern Christianity
There are many Christian practices, all of the diversified importance to the lives of the believers
of the faith. These variegated practices are what differentiates Christians from people of other
faiths, and gives them autonomy. According to Craig Dykstra, Christian practices are not activities
we do to make something spiritual happen in our lives. Nor are they duties we undertake to be
obedient to God. Rather, they are patterns of communal action that create openings in our lives
where the grace, mercy, and presence of God may be made known to us (Spiritual Practices, n.d., p.
1).
Therefore, Christian practices are the daily engagements that believers of the faith undertake in line
with what is expected of them. This paper will discuss fasting as a practice in modern Christianity
that is unique and important to the faith of believers and will provide a summary describing
fasting, how it developed, and why it is significant in the lives of at least some contemporary
Christians. In addition, this paper will also discuss Evangelicalism as a movement within
Christianity which started within the past 200 years, having distinctive beliefs, and impact on
modern and contemporary Christianity (Christendom).
One practice in modern Christianity that is unique is fasting (Colbert, 2006). Often, fasting is
related to a person lacking or rather, doing without food, however, this is not the case. Through

John Locke And Rousseau s Theory Of The State Of Nature
Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Jean Jacques Rousseau all claim an integral space in the realm of
political philosophy. Through their respective dissertations, each author analyzed man in his natural
state and derived a form of civil society from that conclusion. While each author observes man in
his own way and thus come to his own forms of subsequent government, equality seems to be a
defining feature in all of their theories. All authors engage this notion heavily within their texts and
use this comparison of man to man to draw powerful inferences from that. This paper will briefly
summarize Hobbes , Locke, and Rousseau s definition of the state of nature and then critically
analyze the role of equality in crafting the construction of government.
In Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes paints a grim picture about man s natural state. Famously
characterized as solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short (Hobbes 89), man s life is chaotic. The state
of nature, Hobbes insists, is a state of warre(Hobbes 88) which pits men against men. Man naturally
aims for felicity, defined as continual success in obtaining those things which a man from time to
time desire, that is to say, continual prospering (Hobbes 46). People think of their own interests and
their pursuits of said interests may put them into conflict with another, in which violent war may
emerge. Man, thus, lives in a state of constant fear.
Hobbes proposes that all people, then, submit to a sovereign. They must enter a

Operations Strategy at Galanz
1. What were the order winners/order qualifiers for Galanz in the microwave oven business during
the early stage of its development?
Quality is one of most important factors for order qualifiers because it provided reliability for
customers to use them. However, the low price strategy was the order winner during the early
stage of development of Galanz. To win orders, Galanz adopted a low price strategy. Low product
prices which can be afforded by domestic market triggered more demand. With this increased
demand, Galanz achieved greater economies of scale, which helped to lower costs and prices
further. In addition, it also attracted foreign manufacturers to transfer their production facilities to
Galanz. With the cheap price of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This contrasts with traditional Western operating hours of 40/week and allowed them to increase
production scale and reduce production costs relative to many of their competitors. Finally they
pursued vertical integration of the supply chain to reduce costs and improve quality, leading to
90% of Galanz s microwave parts being produced by Galanz itself. Each of these operational
strategies support the competitive cost leadership strategy by exploiting economies of scale to
generate large scale production and achieve low cost efficiency.
5.What are the differences between OEM/ODM versus OBM in terms of production, design,
marketing, distribution, and customer service?
Original equipment manufacturers produce a necessary component of another company s product,
often relying on economies of scale to drive down production costs. OEM s typically don t
provide customer support, instead passing on those responsibilities to their client whom bought the
original product. Original design equipment manufacturers on the other hand, produce a product
that is eventually rebranded once purchased by another company and can be thought of as
outsourcing . The main difference between the two is that OEM s produce a product by their
own specifications, while ODM s produce products by another company s specifications. ODM s
also aren t in charge of final distribution, while OEM s are. Another difference is that unlike OEM
s, ODM s also

Each body system in the body undergoes physiologic changes, according to Lilley, Rainforth
Collins, and Snyder (2014) the physiologic changes are as follows: the cardiovascular system
exhibits decreased cardiac output and decreased blood flow that subsequently affect the

From Hinduism, I realized that religion plays a pivotal role for people since there are prayers and
rituals for each and every aspect of everyday life and special occasions. Religion not only
connects people to their Gods, but it also connects people spiritually through gatherings at the
temple. According to yoga instructor Lynne Boucher and Julie Tette, people oftentimes take
part in yoga as a means to become calm, peaceful, and centered through physical movement. The
yoga service that I attended was offered for Dance Team members as team bonding day right
before our competition. For yoga, I think the ritual and emotional dimension is most important
for the interviewees. The emotional dimension is strongly present since yoga is primarily about
self reflection of one s own emotions such as love, stress, or fear. During yoga, Mrs. Boucher

role since it consists of collectively gathering to support each other in a spiritual and physical

Sports Gambling Research Paper
On January 1st of 1993, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was signed to
prevent people from gambling on collegiate and professional sporting events. There has been a
fury amongst sports fans ever since because of this law. In some cases, it has even became known
as the prohibition of the 21st century. Over the last few years, there has been a strong urge about
bringing back sports gambling. There would actually be many benefits to bringing it back. The
pros of sports gambling include casino income, tax reduction, job openings, and entertainment
value. Sports betting would benefit many casinos and city governments. When sports gambling
was banned, there was a decrease in income at many casinos. With that being said, when the
casinos are not bringing in money for a city, it just means that the city officials are going to turn
to its residents to bring in money via higher taxes. At this day in age, taxes are sky high in price
and people are barely able to pay them anymore. With sports betting back in the casinos in these
cities, these issues could be fixed. Sports betting would be beneficial in terms of job openings. If
sports gambling was legal again and it was back in many casinos, that would bring a decent

The first idea I believe National Honor Society should participate in is hosting a Memorial Day

This paper explores the ethical dimension of the demise of Enron Corporation an reflection of
author, placed in hypothetical situations. Accounting Fraud and Management philosophy will be
the main discussion topics, along with the motivations of fraud. The fall of Enron can be directly
attributed to a violation of ethical standards in business. This makes Enronunique in corporate
history for the same actions that made Enron on of the fastest growing and most profitable
corporations, at the turn of the 21st century, also bout about its destruction. This paper does not
explore legal consequences, only the ethical dimension of Enron s actions. Enron Corporation:
Ethics Case Study and Personal Reflection Capitalism is an amoral system that follows protocol of
mechanical laws of supply and demand. Over the course of two centuries our country has tried to
introduce ethics and morality into economic constructs. Anti trust, labor laws, and regulation have
been our attempts to introduce an ethical element into an otherwise unfeeling system of exchange.
The reason, an attempt to reduce damage that is possible by the manipulation of capitalism. And
to not only to create an even playing field but keeping the field from reverting back to being
occupied by serfs. Corporations offer many benefits to society, increased supply of goods, tax

Have you ever wanted to go deeper into learning about musical entertainers from the past? All of
the types of music we have today came from people deeper in history. Ray Charles is one of many

he influenced music. In this essay I am going to talk about Ray Charles s childhood, family, and

Girls are expected to marry, look after children, and obey their husbands, none of which requires

machismo is commonly understood to be part of Salvadoran culture, the female version is less
obvious but still common. Machisma or matriarquia characterizes a woman who at home controls
the family by angrily scolding its members, especially the husband. A mandona, or one who orders

Korean Creation Myth
Cheonjiwang Bonpuli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cheonjiwang Bonpuli (Hangul: мІњм§Ђм™• ліён’Ђмќґ, literally Chronicles of Cheonjiwang
) is a Korean creation myth, traditionally retold by shamans in the small island ofJeju Island. It is
one of the best known Creation myths in the Korean peninsula, and many key elements in the
Cheonjiwang Bonpuli can be found in the creation myths of the mainland.[1]
Plot[edit]
Unlike its title, the supreme deity Cheonjiwang (Hangul: мІњм§Ђм™•), whose name literally
means King of the Heavens and the Earth , serves mainly as a secondary character. The protagonists
of the myth are instead the two sons of Cheonjiwang, Daebyeol and Sobyeol.

Sumyeong Jangja ordered a slave to ease his pain by decapitating him. The surprised Cheonjiwang

way.
Cheonjiwang did not return to the sky immediately, but spent the night in Baekju Halmeom

her hair with a jade comb in the next room, and asked Baekju Halmeom who she was. Baekju
Halmeom answered that it was her only daughter, Chongmyeong Agi. (Hangul: мґќлЄ…м•„кё°,

Chongmyeong Agi was fairer than the Seonnyeo, the heavenly fairies. Cheonjiwang asked both
Chongmyeong Agi and Baekju Halmeom if he could have sexual intercourse with Chongmyeong
Agi, and both decided to accept. Thus, that night, Chongmyeong Agi became Chongmyeong Buin

Cheonjiwang stayed with his new wife for four days, then left. He gave Chongmyeong Buin two

The Case For Decentralized Generation Of Electricity
In the article The Case for Decentralized Generation of Electricity , energy policy analyst Thomas
R. Casten and project engineer Brennan Downes frame the consequences of meeting up with the
demands of power energy with central generation or letting go of decentralized generation that
recycles waste energy. They go on to summarize how a new power generation has been built
over the past 30 years under given circumstances of technology that was available at the time, the
cost of technology and fuel prices, and conclusion of their ideas. From 1910 to 1960, electricity
was originally produced by either using hydroelectric dams or burning fossil fuels in order to

Having these turbines and machines located directly within large populations rather than many
miles away was an advantage. Although, they found that using multiple engines and turbines was
more cost effective and less harmful in transmission, electric industries weren t being fair because
they began to charge consumers at very high rates. To regulate the situation in 1978, Congress
stepped in and wanted to create competition within the industry in the year. Independent power
companies began to advance and develop on site generation in areas made able to regulate the
monopoly. Today, most power companies think that centralized electrical energy gives the most
favorable results for all. To support this belief, the International Energy Agency predicted a
significant increase in numbers for the next thirty years as our world s need for electrical power
continues to grow every second. According to Figure 1 in the article, the electricity generation
capacity for the world will increase by almost 4,500 GW to reach 8,000 GW total. With the
demand for burning fossil fuels to increase by 90% and great amount of carbon dioxide emission,
we will negatively affect our environments with this huge contribution to global warming. To meet
our increasing reliance and demand for this resource, central generation of electricity will also
critically affect the tax market, fossil fuel market, and our world s environment as a whole.

alarms in my bedroom, my sister s bedroom, my parent s bedroom, and in the hallway. The living

placed in kitchens to avoid false alarms. To protect yourself, place the smoke alarms 10 feet from
a cooking appliance. Smoke alarms should never be installed by windows and doors because
they will not work correctly. All wall mounted alarms should be installed not more than 12
inches away from the ceiling. Install smoke alarms within 3 feet of a building s apex. Fire
extinguishers can also be used to decrease the chance of a fire. Every family needs training for
what to do when a real fire comes. In addition, every family should have an evacuation plan to
escape a fire. Fire sprinklers inside the home can help protect your family from a starting fire. To
prevent a fire, blow out all candles before going to sleep. Always check smoke alarms every month
to make sure they are working properly.
The importance of fire protection is that it saves lives and saves property. Smoke alarms allow

grew into an international sensation. The Stones created some of the most widely known tunes and
they also created one of the most iconic styles of music, rock and roll. The Rolling Stoneswere

Nietzsche, Reinforced, And Challenged By Nietzsche
Yo, I hope you are ready to learn some really cool shizniz about how we understand other shizniz
by interpreting that shizniz. Over this past term, I have learned how individuals form an
interpretation. Although learning about how to interpret an interpretation was an interesting
experience, it also was pretty confusing; therefore, I am going to discuss what I have learned in a
way that I hope will be fun to read and easy to understand. In this, you will read about concepts
introduced by Nietzsche, reinforced by Gadamer, and challenged by Schott. In each of their articles
highlighted key points of how to best understand a conceptcalled the hermeneutical claim to
universality , which can be defined as a notion of first having an interpretationof what one wishes to
understand. Basically, this means if we want to understand anything we are trying to find an
interpretation. Nietzsche discusses how all individuals make errors not grammatical errors like
what is presented in this essay but errors in truth. Specifically, Nietzsche states that all truths are
errors. The concept of all truths being errors can be better understood by recognizing the
reasonable assumption that individuals are different and thus will believe different things.
However, how can all beliefs be fully true if one s beliefs contradict another individual s beliefs?
Nietzsche explains that an objective truth does not exist for the reason that individuals have
different believes of what is true. A

London was founded by Brutus of Troy about 1000 1100 B.C. after he defeated the incumbent

There have been scattered prehistoric finds, evidence of farming, burial and traces of habitation, but
nothing more substantial. It is now considered unlikely that a pre Roman city existed, but as some
of the Roman city remains unexcavated, it is still just possible that some major settlement may yet
be discovered. London was most likely a rural area with scattered settlement. Rich finds such as the

Harmful Effects Of Recycling In Landfills
Recycling programs are in place all around the world yet most trash still ends up in a landfill.
When something is being decomposed, it s being broken down slowly. When something is being
decomposed by living bacteria or other living organisms then it is biodegradable. As an effect of
this, eventually, the materials will be fully broken down. In landfills, most materials start to
decompose (North and Halden 2013). Materials such as extruded polystyrenefoam, plastic, and
paper that are in landfills can cause pollution. Pollution is the act of introducing something that will
bring harmful effects. Biodegradation helps to reduce the amount of trash in landfills so that
landfills do not become full of capacity.
About 30% of landfill space is filled with extruded polystyrene foam products alone (Little
2017). Landfills are quickly being filled and very soon there will not be enough space in the
world to place trash. extruded polystyrene foam is a material that decomposes over a long period.
Inside extruded polystyrene foam is a chemical called Styrene which leaches into substances
leading to water pollution when it precipitates and the runoff goes into nearby bodies of water
(Little 2017). When something leaches it is being percolated into another liquid or substance.
34 million tons of plastic were produced in 2008 in the United States alone and 86% ended up in
landfills (North and Halden 2013). That s a lot of plastic that ended up in landfills. Over the years

Comparison Of Marxism In International Relations Theory
Comparison in Definition
Marxism in international relations was a reaction to liberal economic theories advanced by
thinkers such as Adam Smith. Smith argued that free market capitalism, without any role of
government or backstage actor would be the most efficient. For him, the notion of the invisible
hand summed up this idea that a free market without government controls will be the most
optimal outcomes. Much of Smith s ideas of a free market economy are based on the rules of
supply and demand, and also the importance of competition. In this economic system, businesses
will compete with one another in their products and consumers as a result of this competition,
will benefit since it will lead businesses to make the best product at the lowest costs. Then, the
price of this product will be reflected in the supply and demand which is the more of a product
that is available, the less demand that there will be, and vice versa.

Furthermore, this is not a new phenomenon in the 1800s, but rather, Marxists believe that there
have been numerous cases, throughout the centuries of imbalances of economic power between the
workers, and the economic elites who run production.
For Marx, this economic exploitation could be in the private sector or and as later Marxists in the
field of international relations focus on, it could be the ways that the state is using economic

2. The brief conclusions all serve to indicate cold, harsh, and impactful conclusions to his yearly
cycle which further emphasize the schism between school years. Some of the conclusions serve
different functions, though. For example, when he ends his third grade segment with I m still
waiting. it is short and impactful; but, when he ends the fifth grade segment with a rhetorical
question Oh, do you remember those sweet, almost innocent choices that the Indian boys were
forced to make? the segment seems to linger on for a moment longer, portraying that the event had
a stronger impression than the previous, shorter conclusion.
3. The thematic transition in the seventh grade segment occurs when he kisses the white girl, and
almost as if he betrays his tribe, is sent away to a farm town. Through the seventh grade transition,
the theme transcends from social outcast and discrimination to somewhat unconscious
discrimination but social acceptance. Prior to the seventh grade segment, he is explicitly mistreated
and bullied, alienated from society. After the seventh grade though, at the farm town, he doesn t
display any direct discrimination, everything he relates and portrays as discrimination is completely
indirect and taken as such.
4. I think he ends with the Class Reunion section to display how the drastic change in his life during
seventh grade affected his outcome. The effect this image shows is that the author had to alienate

Common Examples Of Child Protective Service
In 2002 there was estimated to be nearly 3 million referrals to Child Protective Services (CPS) in
the United States, and about 5 million in the year 2000 (McWey Mullis, 2004). Children who are
living in environments that put them in harms way, depending on the situation are generally
removed from their home and placed into a foster home in attempts to keep them safe (Carlson,
Egeland Lawrence, 2006). Common examples of Child Protective Service (CPS) referrals include
physical abuse, sexual abuse, and psychological maltreatment (McWey Mullis, 2004). In 2001 it
was estimated that nearly 542,000 children were in foster carein the United States and that the
number of children in foster care exceeded the number of available foster homes by nearly 30
40% (Carlson, Egeland Lawrence, 2006). For many children in foster care, reunification with
biological parent or parents is the ultimate goal (McWey, Acock Porter, 2010). In 60% of foster
care cases, reunification with biological parents occurs (Carlson, Egeland Lawrence, 2006) .In
order for reunification to be possible, or to help determine whether reunification can occur, children
and biological parents have scheduled visits with trained supervisors who monitor the visits
(Haight, Kagle Black, 2003). The duty of the supervisor is to look at the parent child interactions
and determine whether or not they are appropriate. Supervised visitation has been shown to have
positive and negative effects on children who are

Word Cult Research Paper
The definition of the word cult has completely reversed from its original meaning. How did the
term become such a widely debated slippery term? It has been a long road from its original
meaning to its current polar opposite, but it has been greatly prodded along by society s treatment
of the term. The common stereotype of cults as secretive member in black cloaks has been long
propagated by various mediums, leading to the contrast between common view and traditional
definition. One of the main offenders in the warping of the word culthas been its use in the media.
most people get the majority of their information about new or controversial religions through the
media (Cowan). News has always tended to focus on the negative things in... Show more content on

Because different researchers use different definitions of the word cult, their conclusions can t be
compared to each other and can t be held as a standard to judge other groups by. Lalich says that
cult scholars are as the blind men examining the elephant : each with their own frame of reference
and own conclusions. The term cult as an analytic category, as researchers have attempted to use it,
has just as unclear parameters as when it is used to delineate dangerous groups. Often what some
see as only aspects of cults are used by others as definitive characteristics. Without a knowledge of
specific qualities, the results of each researcher are independent and unhelpful, and only contribute
to the confusion of the meaning of the term

The Legal Aspects Of The Surrogate Pregnancy
For most individuals, surrogacy is the only way to have children. Thus, modern reproductive
technologies are on top. However, there is a question that remains difficult physiologically, legally
and ethically. Let alone the Old Testament Genesis 16, which states that Abraham s wife could not
get pregnant, and her husband had to use a maid Hagar, impregnating her naturally. Slaves,
concubines and peasant, were surrogate mothers by traditional way. Now it is intelligently called
partial surrogacy or surrogacy genetic linkage , and the method of fertilization is not as romantic or
godly like. History of Medicine claims that, ancient Indian reproductive technologies were the best.
However, they turn to stay neutral about the legal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is, first of all, the problem of extra embryos and the possibility of their destruction, sale, abuse,
and a number of others that remains unsolved. Theoretically, the number of potential children from
one donor may exceed the entire population of the earth. From a utilitarian s point of view, the act
of surrogacy is ethical as the families as well as the surrogate mother are all happy in the end.
Furthermore, another major ethical question been asked is whether: to hide or not to hide? No
state requires parents who have used surrogate motherhood, to talk about the process with their
children. This will be seen as invasion of privacy and a violation of the autonomy of the family.
A Surrogate mother is a woman who becomes pregnant, carries and delivers a child for another
couple in other words Commissioners parents. Surrogacy can be complete or partial. In the case
of complete, egg and sperm available to authorized parents or donors. For the full surrogacy IVF
is used. It is preferably in the partial. Thus, it is the problem that is one so much medical as
ethical and legal. And here can be a lot the views, I will present my own. 47% of couples are
childless; more than a third of them cannot have children because of infertility. In different cases,
the situation may be different if a woman cannot get pregnant, but are able to bear a child that is
used In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Male infertility is also treated. Cases, in which the only solution is

Cassia s Infraction
Cassia was under the impression her entire life that the Society never made mistakes and that it
was their savior. Perfection was the one word people utilized to describe the futuristic world they
lived in. However, the Society made decisions for every single one of their citizens. People s
diets, death, activities, partner, and living area were prohibited from being their choice. People that
committed Infractions were given a status, such as an Aberration or an Anomaly. If your parents
had committed an Infraction, all their children were classified as one as well. Additionally,
Aberrations were discriminated against and usually left to perish in locations such as the Outer
Provinces. Similarly, the Society merely allowed 100 of each variety... Show more content on

Multiple dilemmas that plague our modern world currently, were eliminated by the Society. For
instance, cancer, a disease that causes 8 million deaths annually, has been treated by the Society.
Moreover, curing cancer is a remarkable accomplishment and one of the multitudes of reasons
why the Society is an ideal civilization, in my opinion. No cases have been reported and citizens
are fed based on their own nutritional requirements, and everyone is kept healthy. The life
expectancy of the average person is 80 years of age, and that is when they have their Final
Banquet, where they die. Nevertheless, the Society has ceased treacherous factors that are still
present in our world, therefore, I agree with their actions because it has lead to a prosperous
civilization. Although people, similar to Cassia, believe that who you want to love shouldn t be
chosen for you, the Society has generated additional solutions to creating complications. Cassia
persistently stated that the Society disposed of violence and criminals successfully. Those that
chose to commit Infractions were isolated and not allowed with the population. Anomalies were
usually killed to halt violence from spreading in the Society. Finally, in our world today, especially
in Chicago, violence is extremely recurrent and managing to diminish it is outstanding. This

flavours. This is in contrast to Haagen Dazs, which differentiates its product by making it seem
like the most indulgent ice cream with flavours such as Secret Sensations: Meringue and
Raspberry Fondant , and slogans such as A world of indulgence . Phrases such as Waiting only

sole authority to grant or deny the special use permit to allow them to construct a cellular tower

Appeals, has the authority to approve the zoning variance. The zoning variance will be presented
to the Board in December if the special use permit is approved. Ms. Wallingford Ingo stated a
notion was made in the recommendation section of staff s review. She stated there is a process
that requires a telecommunications carrier to co locate on other towers before applying for a new
special use permit for a tower. A telecommunications tower cannot be built in excess of the
maximum height limitation imposed within a specific zone. As a matter of clarification, Mr.
Powell has indicated that they have placed this tower where the County directed them to do so. She
had several conversations over the duration of three to four months with one of Mr. Powell s
colleagues relative to the location of the proposed tower and staff s concerns relative to the
placement of such. When the applicant submitted the special use permit application, the zoning
maps indicated the proposed site was in the A 2 Zone District. Upon review of the application, it
was determined that the zone district line on the digital map, which are not the official zoning
maps, was A 3. This is when the height limitation came into effect. The initial analysis of the
placement of the facility was based on a zone district

Analysis Of Nruda s The Egoist By Pablo Neruda
Philosophers as ancient as Plato and Socrates have pondered the soul for millennia. After all, every
person appears to have an unchanging self. Why else would languages universally utilize the
pronouns, I and, you? However, other theorists such as David Hume and Buddha, pondering what
one can truly classify as their persona, have opined the selfan illusion; though humans naturally
experience it, the soul does not actually exist. Pablo Neruda espouses a similar view in his poem,
The Egoist, written in 1973 as a part of Neruda s posthumous collection Winter Garden. Throughout
the work, Neruda contrasts the concept of personal identity with the natural world, deeming
abandoning one s individuality a necessary step to obtaining lasting satisfaction with existence.
Neruda conveys his idea as a physician would a diagnosis: first identifying the problem s nature,
then outlining its effects and solution.
Truth cannot contradict itself; thus, to recognize a fictitious entity, one must first analyze the
apparently existent. Accordingly, The Egoist s first stanzas portray the individualego as mythical
and ghostlike by discriminating it from the natural world. Instantaneously, Neruda boldly asserts,
Nobody is missing from the garden. Nobody is here: / only the green and black winter (Neruda, 1
2). Repeating nobody is intimates the flowers lack of self. Likewise, Neruda connoting green and
black in the subsequent line signifies nature s holism. Green, reflecting

Taking pride in a growing customer database and knowing how well business has flourished are two key factors in determining how current operations are beginning to show age and are no longer fit for the company. Technically, the current in house systems are running Windows 2000 Pro and are centrally connected to server, with a Small Business Server 2003 configuration. A migration to newer operating systems highly recommended in order to achieve optimal work performance, with all terminals upgrading to Windows 7 Enterprise and the server over hauled to Small Business Server Standard Edition 2011. A decent home based server would range in cost from roughly $400 to $500. The Small Business Server 2011 operating system, however, currently sells for about $1,000. The software cost can rise, depending on the amount of CALs (Client Access Licenses) that are purchased. Customers can acquire additional 5 packs of CALs for the number of users or devices they wish to connect to Windows Small Business Server 2011 through Microsoft at about $360 (Microsoft Online Store). With that in mind, Knight Lite as a company would need to pay around $2,000 to cover all the users and their devices. Despite the initial cost to migrate to Small Business Server 2011, there are quite a few benefits that greatly outweigh the negatives, one of these being the configuration of the server and the user access. • 3. The Moment Of Conception Of The Zombie The Moment of Conception For an object to be considered monstrous, it must deviate from its natural order. It is something unnatural. When a family is enjoying a nice walk in the park and a flesh eating zombie suddenly approaches them, the zombie is considered monstrous, a monstrosity; a monster. Zombies do not fit in the normative expectations for humanbeings. How and when these zombies deviate from the expectations for humans is the great question. When does a zombie become a zombie? The moment of conception for a zombie is when they lose their consciousness: the essence of self. To the modern person, zombies are known as the flesh eating, gory looking corpse of a human being that is searching the world for brains and bodies. This allusion of what a zombie is comes from the recent decade s depiction of them in our culture. Movies Shaun of the Dead (2004), Zombieland (2009), and popular television series The Walking Dead (2010 present) all portray zombies to be a menace to society. They are aimlessly roaming the world in search of food, which coincidently happens to be humans, and often killed by humans in fear of their safety. None of these depictions of zombies tell us what a zombie actually is. A zombie can be defined in countless ways. The author Robert Kirk looks at zombies in a philosophical manner, allowing us to view them in a way similar to humans. Philosophical zombies are exactly like us in all physical respects, right down to the tiniest details, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Capital Punishment Should Be Eliminated Throughout the history of humanity, punishments have been in place for the wrongful acts of citizens within governmental systems of all kinds. In America during the early days of the country, the death penalty was a more viable solution than it appears today due to the quality of the prisons, which couldn t sustain prisoners long term. (Von Drehle, 2015). Today, this is not an issue with prisons that are provided both by the state and federal governments and that are fully capable of holding offenders throughout the length of a life sentence (Von Drehle, 2015). However, many will argue that capital punishmentshould be eliminated. Foes of the death penalty are split into two groups with one that argues that capital punishment should and will cease based upon public support, that it doesn t deter crime, and the current processes of executions are too costly and problematic. The other will take a more humanitarian approach and claim that it is not the role of the government to decide the fate of an individual, and that crimes punishable by death are not justifiable. Determent, morals, severity of the crime, and revenge are among the many arguments that are geared in favor of protecting a centuries old government system. These groups give more pragmatic reasons as arguments. Currently, the United States is alone among other democracies by not being in similar standing as western European countries, such as Germany and France, where the death penalty has been completely ... A Survey On Web Personalization For Recommendations Essay A SURVEY ON WEB PERSONALIZATION FOR RECOMMENDATIONS ABSTRACT Data mining is a process of extracting the information from the large set of databases. As the web contain huge amount of information finding the exact information of which user required is difficult. Web personalization is a process of analyzing the user?s navigational behavior based on web sequence access performed by the user based on which recommendations are done. Web usage mining plays an important role in recommendation of pages to user based on user interest. Different kinds of technics and algorithms are used for web personalization and recommendation of pages. The technics of data mining such as collaborative filtering, association rule mining, ontology, support vector machine, sequence access patterns and web log mining are compared to know which technic is more efficient for recommendation of web pages based on web personalization. A survey conducted to find which technic easily recommends the web pages to user such that it consumes less time for searching the information. The paper proposes the technic that provides efficient results for recommendation of pages to user based on user interest comparing parameters like precision and recall and matching algorithm. Web log based recommendations are more efficient when compared to other technics as it consumes less time for searching the relevant information. The survey gives the result in the form of the graph for different parameters. Index Terms: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Stone, 1962) The words stated prior by William Clement Stone have never proved to be more accurate. A person s place of living, whether chosen, suggested, or forced, has a great affect on their future years to come. Depending on a person s environment, they can succeed or fail; linger around or progress. The further proceedings do not serve the purpose to knock or bring shame or favor to one geographical area. Texas is one of few states that are known for their delicious bar b que and food in general. I love the juicy ribs dripping in bbq sauce with a side of a loaded baked potato, honey baked beans and coleslaw. Nevertheless, when I moved to Maryland, all I could find was imitation Texas bbq restaurants. To this day, ten years after moving to Maryland, I have yet to know what food Maryland is known for; I was told crabs. I truly despise eating crabs because it takes to much effort. Why would anyone want to have to crack the crab leg, separate the shells from the meat repeatedly? When I m hungry, I don t want to have to constantly crack crab legs constantly and still be hungry afterwards. With that being said, we will now draw our attention to the offering of such delicious food; hospitality. Have you ever watched a television episode of a series in which a newlywed couple or family moves into a new neighborhood and unexpectedly the doorbell rings and it s one of the neighbors smiling ear to ear while holding a scrumptious looking homemade cake? Guess what. This is actually done in reality in Texas! Just a little something we like to call southern hospitality . • 7. Gun Violence In America Gun Violence in the United States of America Every day there is another story in the news about excessive gun violence, accidents with guns involving children who found loaded guns in the house or unnecessary gun violence by police forces. Due to the US allowing and making it so easy for citizens to have guns and for their security forces to shoot without strict rules or consequences, lots of innocent people are killed without having any way to defend themselves. ICCPR US is in violation of their human rights obligations under article 6 of the ICCPR right to life because it s not protecting the lives of its citizens, it is allowing excessive gun violence (by police forces) and it has insufficient violations of guns by people who are not even supposed to possess guns. The US is especially in violation because it fails to control its police department on the use of gun violence. The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) is an international treaty, which entered into force 23 March 1976. The United States of America signed the treaty in 1977 and ratified it in 1992. The main purpose of the ICCPR is to protect human rights, as it protects civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. The ICCPR addresses the right to life and that nobody should be deprived of that right. However, the current gun violence in the United States is taking away the right to life. But regardless of the authorship of the different psalms, each seem to carry a special place in describing human relationships to God, to country, to friends, to enemies and more. Remember, O Lord, against the sons of Edom the day of Jerusalem, who said, Raze it, raze it, to its very foundation. O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, how blessed will be the one who repays you with the recompense with which you have repaid us. It is widely accepted that this psalm was written during or shortly after the exilic waves of the Southern Kingdom during the Babylonian captivity of 597 BCE and 587 BCE , extending to 538 BCE . While no specific author is identified as the author of Psalm 137, it certainly is not King David due to the time elapse from King David s reign and the Babylonian Captivity. • 12. Policy And Institutional Frameworks On Vegetable Seed... Policy and institutional frameworks impacting on vegetable seed production and distribution systems in Cameroon Abstract: This study assessed policy and institutional frameworks impacting on vegetable seed production and distribution systems in Cameroon in order to establish benchmark indicators for successful integration and/or diversification of vegetables into existing cocoa based farming systems in the humid tropics of Cameroon. Results reveal that official regulations and other policy instruments necessary to boost the vegetable seed sector in Cameroon do exist, but need to be re formulated into more concrete and implementable actions on the ground. The study identified and characterized two main vegetable seed supply systems namely: the dominant informal system dealing mainly with traditional vegetable species such as Amaranthus spp (amaranth) and the formal seed supply system characterised by mostly by the production and sale of globally important vegetable seed such as Brassica oleracea var. capitata (cabbage). The major constraints observed in the vegetable seed sub sector include the inadaptability of legal instruments to the vegetable seed sector, absence of effective storage conditions, absence of seed testing facilities, poor knowledge on seed production and processing and the heterogeneity of seeds. Consequently, farmers are obliged to fall back to unimproved seeds to the detriment of agricultural yields. Key words: Legal instruments, policy framework, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ray Bradbury is an exceptionally great writer, who has written countless stories including The Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 . Bradbury was born in Waukegan, Illinois in 1920 and at age 14 moved to Los Angeles. In 1937 he joined a SciFi league and had his first book published at the age of 18. He often writes about nostalgia for childhood, social criticism, and the hazards of runaway technology. These are ideas the Bradbury believes in and feels strongly about. This is shown in two of his short stories, Marionettes, Inc. and Dark They Were and Golden Eyed . • 14. Characteristics Of Modern Christianity 1. A Unique and Important Practice in Modern Christianity There are many Christian practices, all of the diversified importance to the lives of the believers of the faith. These variegated practices are what differentiates Christians from people of other faiths, and gives them autonomy. According to Craig Dykstra, Christian practices are not activities we do to make something spiritual happen in our lives. Nor are they duties we undertake to be obedient to God. Rather, they are patterns of communal action that create openings in our lives where the grace, mercy, and presence of God may be made known to us (Spiritual Practices, n.d., p. 1). Therefore, Christian practices are the daily engagements that believers of the faith undertake in line with what is expected of them. This paper will discuss fasting as a practice in modern Christianity that is unique and important to the faith of believers and will provide a summary describing fasting, how it developed, and why it is significant in the lives of at least some contemporary Christians. In addition, this paper will also discuss Evangelicalism as a movement within Christianity which started within the past 200 years, having distinctive beliefs, and impact on modern and contemporary Christianity (Christendom). One practice in modern Christianity that is unique is fasting (Colbert, 2006). Often, fasting is related to a person lacking or rather, doing without food, however, this is not the case. Through ... • 15. John Locke And Rousseau s Theory Of The State Of Nature Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Jean Jacques Rousseau all claim an integral space in the realm of political philosophy. Through their respective dissertations, each author analyzed man in his natural state and derived a form of civil society from that conclusion. While each author observes man in his own way and thus come to his own forms of subsequent government, equality seems to be a defining feature in all of their theories. All authors engage this notion heavily within their texts and use this comparison of man to man to draw powerful inferences from that. This paper will briefly summarize Hobbes , Locke, and Rousseau s definition of the state of nature and then critically analyze the role of equality in crafting the construction of government. In Leviathan, Thomas Hobbes paints a grim picture about man s natural state. Famously characterized as solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short (Hobbes 89), man s life is chaotic. The state of nature, Hobbes insists, is a state of warre(Hobbes 88) which pits men against men. Man naturally aims for felicity, defined as continual success in obtaining those things which a man from time to time desire, that is to say, continual prospering (Hobbes 46). People think of their own interests and their pursuits of said interests may put them into conflict with another, in which violent war may emerge. Man, thus, lives in a state of constant fear. Quality is one of most important factors for order qualifiers because it provided reliability for customers to use them. However, the low price strategy was the order winner during the early stage of development of Galanz. To win orders, Galanz adopted a low price strategy. Low product prices which can be afforded by domestic market triggered more demand. With this increased demand, Galanz achieved greater economies of scale, which helped to lower costs and prices further. Original equipment manufacturers produce a necessary component of another company s product, often relying on economies of scale to drive down production costs. OEM s typically don t provide customer support, instead passing on those responsibilities to their client whom bought the original product. Original design equipment manufacturers on the other hand, produce a product that is eventually rebranded once purchased by another company and can be thought of as outsourcing . From Hinduism, I realized that religion plays a pivotal role for people since there are prayers and rituals for each and every aspect of everyday life and special occasions. Religion not only connects people to their Gods, but it also connects people spiritually through gatherings at the temple. According to yoga instructor Lynne Boucher and Julie Tette, people oftentimes take part in yoga as a means to become calm, peaceful, and centered through physical movement. The yoga service that I attended was offered for Dance Team members as team bonding day right before our competition. For yoga, I think the ritual and emotional dimension is most important for the interviewees. The emotional dimension is strongly present since yoga is primarily about self reflection of one s own emotions such as love, stress, or fear. During yoga, Mrs. Boucher guided our thoughts us by asking us to reflect about what our biggest fears are for the upcoming competition. Mrs. Boucher also guided our session by telling us think about the stresses that occur within the dance team; then as we acknowledged our stresses, she told us to breathe out and let go of worries, pressures, and anxieties. Sports Gambling Research Paper On January 1st of 1993, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was signed to prevent people from gambling on collegiate and professional sporting events. There has been a fury amongst sports fans ever since because of this law. In some cases, it has even became known as the prohibition of the 21st century. Over the last few years, there has been a strong urge about bringing back sports gambling. There would actually be many benefits to bringing it back. The pros of sports gambling include casino income, tax reduction, job openings, and entertainment value. Sports betting would benefit many casinos and city governments. When sports gambling was banned, there was a decrease in income at many casinos. With that being said, when the casinos are not bringing in money for a city, it just means that the city officials are going to turn to its residents to bring in money via higher taxes. At this day in age, taxes are sky high in price and people are barely able to pay them anymore. With sports betting back in the casinos in these cities, these issues could be fixed. The Importance Of National Honor Society The first idea I believe National Honor Society should participate in is hosting a Memorial Day celebration for the families in our community that have lost loved ones due to serving our country. I think this would be amazing because it would give the people in our community a sense that they are not alone and introduce them to people that they can lean on. At this event, we could have food/treats and potentially an open microphone where people would be able to share the story of their loved one(s). This could then become a yearly event that people look forward to because it would be a celebration of life. Over this past term, I have learned how individuals form an interpretation. Although learning about how to interpret an interpretation was an interesting experience, it also was pretty confusing; therefore, I am going to discuss what I have learned in a way that I hope will be fun to read and easy to understand. In this, you will read about concepts introduced by Nietzsche, reinforced by Gadamer, and challenged by Schott. In each of their articles highlighted key points of how to best understand a conceptcalled the hermeneutical claim to universality , which can be defined as a notion of first having an interpretationof what one wishes to understand. Basically, this means if we want to understand anything we are trying to find an interpretation. Nietzsche discusses how all individuals make errors not grammatical errors like what is presented in this essay but errors in truth. Specifically, Nietzsche states that all truths are errors. The concept of all truths being errors can be better understood by recognizing the reasonable assumption that individuals are different and thus will believe different things. However, how can all beliefs be fully true if one s beliefs contradict another individual s beliefs? Nietzsche explains that an objective truth does not exist for the reason that individuals have different believes of what is true. A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Harmful Effects Of Recycling In Landfills Recycling programs are in place all around the world yet most trash still ends up in a landfill. When something is being decomposed, it s being broken down slowly. When something is being decomposed by living bacteria or other living organisms then it is biodegradable. As an effect of this, eventually, the materials will be fully broken down. In landfills, most materials start to decompose (North and Halden 2013). Materials such as extruded polystyrenefoam, plastic, and paper that are in landfills can cause pollution. Pollution is the act of introducing something that will bring harmful effects. Biodegradation helps to reduce the amount of trash in landfills so that landfills do not become full of capacity. About 30% of landfill space is filled with extruded polystyrene foam products alone (Little 2017). Landfills are quickly being filled and very soon there will not be enough space in the world to place trash. extruded polystyrene foam is a material that decomposes over a long period. Inside extruded polystyrene foam is a chemical called Styrene which leaches into substances leading to water pollution when it precipitates and the runoff goes into nearby bodies of water (Little 2017). When something leaches it is being percolated into another liquid or substance. 34 million tons of plastic were produced in 2008 in the United States alone and 86% ended up in landfills (North and Halden 2013). St. Pio of Pietrelcina or Padre Pio, was born in the small Italian village of Pietrelcina on May 25, 1887. Then known as Franscesco, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, he was born to two peasant farmers, Giuseppa and Grazio Forgione. The day after his birth, he was baptized at the Castle Church near his home. The town of Pietrelcinawas very religious and saint s feast days were celebrated throughout the year, this had a strong influence on the Forgione family. From early on it was clear that Franscesco was a special child of God. As child he was very pious and decided he wanted to be a priest at a very early age. Padre Pio s feast day is on September 23rd and he is the patron saint of civil defense volunteers and Catholic adolescents. (A Padre Pio Celebration) I chose to research and write about Padre Pio, because I found his life very fascinating. I thought it was very intriguing, that Padre Pio, mysteriously received the signs of crucifixion and the doctors had no other natural explanation for it. His life is inspirational, because, even though he went through great suffering throughout his life, he still managed to see God s love for him. Padre Pio believed that with love from God, came suffering and suffering for the sake of God, helped the soul reach and become closer to God. An inspirational quote from Padre Pio is, Pray, hope, and do not worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer. (Padre Pio Quotes) This is something I would like to imitate in my life, because this quote describes the basics things one needs to do the lead a good spiritual life. One should not worry because God is there and will protect you through your troubles. In order to achieve this, I would have to be more trusting in God and accept that he will be there to ... • 38. Comparison Of Marxism In International Relations Theory Comparison in Definition Marxism in international relations was a reaction to liberal economic theories advanced by thinkers such as Adam Smith. Smith argued that free market capitalism, without any role of government or backstage actor would be the most efficient. For him, the notion of the invisible hand summed up this idea that a free market without government controls will be the most optimal outcomes. Much of Smith s ideas of a free market economy are based on the rules of supply and demand, and also the importance of competition. In this economic system, businesses will compete with one another in their products and consumers as a result of this competition, will benefit since it will lead businesses to make the best product at the lowest costs. Then, the price of this product will be reflected in the supply and demand which is the more of a product that is available, the less demand that there will be, and vice versa. For Marx, this economic exploitation could be in the private sector or and as later Marxists in the field of international relations focus on, it could be the ways that the state is using economic power to exploit others. Common Examples Of Child Protective Service In 2002 there was estimated to be nearly 3 million referrals to Child Protective Services (CPS) in the United States, and about 5 million in the year 2000 (McWey Mullis, 2004). Children who are living in environments that put them in harms way, depending on the situation are generally removed from their home and placed into a foster home in attempts to keep them safe (Carlson, Egeland Lawrence, 2006). Common examples of Child Protective Service (CPS) referrals include physical abuse, sexual abuse, and psychological maltreatment (McWey Mullis, 2004). • 49. Analysis Of Nruda s The Egoist By Pablo Neruda Philosophers as ancient as Plato and Socrates have pondered the soul for millennia. After all, every person appears to have an unchanging self. Why else would languages universally utilize the pronouns, I and, you? However, other theorists such as David Hume and Buddha, pondering what one can truly classify as their persona, have opined the selfan illusion; though humans naturally experience it, the soul does not actually exist. Pablo Neruda espouses a similar view in his poem, The Egoist, written in 1973 as a part of Neruda s posthumous collection Winter Garden. Throughout the work, Neruda contrasts the concept of personal identity with the natural world, deeming abandoning one s individuality a necessary step to obtaining lasting satisfaction with existence. Neruda conveys his idea as a physician would a diagnosis: first identifying the problem s nature, then outlining its effects and solution. Truth cannot contradict itself; thus, to recognize a fictitious entity, one must first analyze the apparently existent. Accordingly, The Egoist s first stanzas portray the individualego as mythical and ghostlike by discriminating it from the natural world. Instantaneously, Neruda boldly asserts, Nobody is missing from the garden. Nobody is here: / only the green and black winter (Neruda, 1 2). Repeating nobody is intimates the flowers lack of self. Likewise, Neruda connoting green and black in the subsequent line signifies nature s holism. Green, reflecting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
