higher. A one piece with a plunging neckline would do the trick. You could also choose plus size

Real Estate Law Research Paper
In term of Real Estate Law, the law recognizes two classifications of property which are real and
personal. Real property relates to land and those things that are more or less permanently attached to
the land, such as homes, office buildings, and trees. Personal property refers to all other things,
such as automobiles, furniture, computers, bank accounts, stocks, and bonds. Real property
includes rights to the airspace above the surface of the property, mineral rights to minerals located
beneath the surface, and water rights for water located on or beneath the surface of the land. A
fixture is an article of personal property, such as an air conditioning unit or a dishwasher, which has

of one or more persons. An estate for life may be for either the life of the owner or the life of
some other person or persons. An estate at will is an estate with no fixed term created by the
expressed or implied agreement of the parties. An estate at will can automatically be terminated;
however, under modern law there may be some notice requirement before termination. Real estate
legal assistants are found in all types of law firms, whether they be large or small, urban or rural.
In addition to private law firms, many corporations hire real estate legal assistants. The skills used
by legal assistants in a real estate practice include preparation of legal documents, examination and
review of real property titles, preparation of land descriptions, preparation and review of leases, and
fact finding investigative work required to represent purchasers, sellers, and lenders in connection

A Program Of Management And Leadership Development Essay
If an organization has a track record of effective responsiveness to the environment, and if it has
been able to successfully change the way it operates when needed, TQM will be easier to
implement. If an organization has been historically reactive and has no skill at improving its
operating systems, there will be both employee skepticism and a lack of skilled change agents. If
this condition prevails, a comprehensive program of managementand leadershipdevelopment may
be instituted. A management audit is a good assessment tool to identify current levels of
organizational functioning and areas in need of change. An organization should be basically
healthy before beginning TQM. If it has significant problems such as a very unstable funding base,
weak administrative systems, lack of managerial skill, or poor employee morale, TQM would not
be appropriate.5
However, a certain level of stress is probably desirable to initiate TQM. People need to feel a
need for a change. Kanter (1983) addresses this phenomenon be describing building blocks which
are present in effective organizational change. These forces include departures from tradition, a
crisis or galvanizing event, strategic decisions, individual prime movers, and action vehicles.
Departures from tradition are activities, usually at lower levels of the organization, which occur
when entrepreneurs move outside the normal ways of operating to solve a problem. A crisis, if it
is not too disabling, can also help create a

Bowenian Family Systems Therapy Summary
One of the main approaches that can be used with this family is Bowenian s Family Systems
Therapy which emphasizes helping family members differentiate from their family of origin and
help them to develop healthy relationships with their current family members (Hook, 2014). One of
the assumptions of this theory is that multi generational trends or pattern have a great effect on an
individual familymember s emotions, thinking or behavior, which results in the continuing the same
trend. Families do not act autonomously, but they are essentially tied with their emotional behavior.
This is known as the multigenerational transmission process (Gilbert, 2006). The primary goal of
this therapy is to help family members differentiate from their family... Show more content on

The client had reported these patterns to be considered to be generational curses , which implies
that the family does not want to continue in these patterns. These instances can be viewed as
traumatic events and negatively impacted the emotional well being of the members in the family.
For this approach, the genogram is viewed as an essential intervention for allowing family to
recognize intergenerational patterns (Hook, 2015). During session with the family, the genogram
could help the family to open up about their sexual abuse and how it was dealt with the past.
They can also process their feelings of having to raise children on their own. By identifying these
patterns, that family could look for potential solutions or options for breaking or avoiding this risk
factor. Since the client reported that sexual abuse is not really expressed in her family, it is
assumed that the family members affected by this experience have unresolved issues and unhealthy
emotional connections. The family session could be used for the family members to process those
emotions and develop new positive

Contemporary Theories Of Subcultures
A subculture is considered a group of dominant people or culture that has been defined in its
norms, values, and interests, which are often inconsistent to those of large groups. (Bohm Vogel,
2011) Subcultures were created when a group of people that share the same beliefs or
circumstances finds themselves cut off from society. (Bohm Vogel, 2011) These groups are distinct
from those of the majority and are held by a group into a broader society. Most subcultures are
recognized by their age of its members, or by race, ethnicity, class, gender, and their qualities that
may be aesthetic, religious, occupational, political, and sexual or a combination of these factors.
However, people create subcultures as a way to feel accepted while also signifying that they are
different from other groups. The subculture theory focuses on consistent distinctiveness, identity,
commitment, and autonomy.
The first subculture group I would like to recognize is the police they are law enforcement officers
with specific types of attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. I place them in the subculture category
because of they spend their time dealing with crime; therefore they tend to be judgmental towards
members of the public viewing them as untrustworthy and potentially hostile; therefore, the public
view the police as being unreliable and abusive as well. The police depend on their cohorts to back
them up, and mostly teamwork to apprehend criminals; therefore, it creates a dynamic of police

Medical Marijuana Dispensaries
Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Are Not Beneficial Medical marijuana has been a debatable subject
of whether it is safe or harmful to people with serious conditions, such as cancer. To add on to the
debate, medical marijuana clinics, or dispensaries have been placed in several communities around
the United States, causing uproar between the supporters and the non supporters of medical
marijuana. Some argue that dispensaries help their community and the economy, while others
believe that they will cause trouble in their towns. Although some people strongly believe that
putting medical marijuana dispensaries in their cities will be beneficial to the community, medical
marijuana clinics are unsafe and not helpful to the communities where they... Show more content on

Some areas have seen an increase of crimes in their community, and medical marijuana clinics are
part of the reason for the rise of crime. Assaults, gang infiltration, and violence have become an
everyday thing for cities with dispensaries. Fights, murders, theft, bombings, and graffiti are all
linked to medical marijuana dispensaries found in California, Colorado, Montana, and several
other big cities with multiple dispensaries (Croke). It is crazy! It s an absolute nightmare; my
prediction is that it s only going to get worse if we continue to allow it (qtd. in Croke). Clinics
should not be causing all this trouble in the communities. If they are there to help citizens of the
community, it is certainly not working because of all this insanity caused by them. Something

With the July temperature climbing above 100 degrees, the soldiers journeyed off through the thick
jungle toward the city of Santiago. Wearing uniforms of wool, the men struggled against the heat.
Many soldiers who brought rations of food along often discovered that it had spoiled. Soon many
of them became ill from malaria, fever, and dysentery.
After a few brief encounters, the Spanish and American armies confronted each other at the San
Juan hills. The Spanish highly defended the hills along a ridge east of Santiago.
Roosevelt scouted up and down the lines. I had come to the conclusion that it was silly to stay in
the valley firing up at the hills...the thing to do was to try to rush the entrenchments, he said. With
a pistol in one hand an a saber in the other, he rode up toward the top with his soldiers following
on foot. They went all out toward the top, even though they were being slowed by the Spanish
Roosevelt kept leading them on and eventually captured the top of Kettle Hill.
The battle for Santiago was the last major conflict over
Spanish ownership of Cuba. Roosevelt and the Rough Riders forced the surrender of Santiago.
Unlike George Dewey s battle this battle came at a costly price. Out of the 568 rough riders landed
in Cuba, only 339 were fit for service. All the rest were dead, wounded or sick. That July 1st was

III.Thus, this brings me to the topic today, which is to persuade all of you to control your intake of
fast food.
IV.I have done an extensive research about the detrimental effects of fast foods.
A.Most of the details I got; are from informative websites such as the Authority Nutrition website.
V.I know how easy and fast it is for us, to pick up our phone, and order a set of burger with fries
rather than going to the kitchen and prepare our foods from scratch.

A.Imagine, what if, it is you, the one who is suffering from obesity.
1.You had to inject your own flesh with sharp needles in order to obtain enough insulin for your

2.I m sure that you do not want that to happen, right?
Conclusion
I.Excessive consumption of fast foods does harms, to our body, and therefore, we must administer
our fast food intake or face the medical repercussions.
II.So, let s change our habit of consuming fast food in a better and healthier way by choosing a
filling meal as the main dish, appoint a beneficial replacement for snacks and set a period to

Redesign Of Copley Square Analysis
Copley Square is a sort of visual representation or metaphor of Boston as a whole. Boston has for
centuries been a center of learning and culture, and Copley is surrounded today by the Boston
Public Library, numerous churches, and influential businesses. Boston is a junction between the
old and the new, and Copley sports differing ages of architecture varying from the Hancock tower
to the Old South Church. Boston is where different people come together, and Copley is where
the Back Bay meets the South End. Boston is known for its oddly charming seemingly unplanned
arrangement, and more so than anything else, Copley Square represents this (Krieger 47). In my
redesign of Copley square, I paid attention to all of these elements as well as others in an attempt
to create a destination that respects its surroundings and history in addition to drawing people in
and serving several purposes. The first aspect I worked on in redesigning Copley was the pathways.
I found that upon visiting the site, the current... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the addition of an amphitheater, I hope to bring more street performers to the square,
which will then bring more people in to stay for longer periods of time while enjoying this time.
With more trees than in the current plan, the strong winds will be buffered, allowing visitors to
be more comfortable. The greater amount of green space hopes to draw more people in from the
surrounding communities to relax and have fun outdoors especially in warmer moths of the year.
The design of the pathways permits passersby to more efficiently get from one corner of the
square to another. This redesign will also still allow for the square s current uses to continue
including the farmers market. Benches facing inwards on the paths will allow for people to better
interact with one another and rest easily. These purposes will attract more people to the square and
keep them there for

The Effects Of Social Media On Society Today
These researchers were determined to find out if the fear of missing out (FOMO) correlates
directly with the use of social media in society today. There have been many concerns raised
regarding the over engagement of social media sites by young adults and adolescents today and the
effects this use may have on their mental health and general functioning. This paper is organized
according to trends that were identified in the findings of some of the reviewed scholarly sources.

missing out also known as FOMO, is that uneasy and sometimes consuming feeling that you re

Mostly all of the participants filled out a basic demographic questionnaire giving information and
details about their gender, race, age, background, and makeup. All of the research groups made it
a mission to find a diverse group of individuals to study and ensure that they all had differing
backgrounds in order to get an accurate representation of what is going on for all members of this
generation.
Perspective
In the past couple of years there has been a lot of research looking to find a correlation between
social media use and the fear of missing out. Before social media became such an epidemic the fear
of missing out and anxiety were not such a prevalent issue. Findings of a negative association
between self worth and the use of social media are offering a new insight into mental health. These
findings are giving caregivers an opportunity to offer patients a diagnosis as well as help if they
come in struggling with similar issues. Developing Trends in Ongoing FOMO Research
Social Media Use The most common thread throughout all of these researchers articles is the use
of social media. Baker, Krieger, and LeRoy express that FOMO relates to social media use both in
its experience thus, research on social media use is important to consider in the current
investigation. With the rapid popularity gain and

Hero s Journey Examples
The Hero s Journey is a common template in stories that involve a hero who goes on an adventure,
wins a victory in a decisive crisis, and then comes home changed or transformed. This template has
been used in tales throughout history to convey the journey that a protagonist goes on. The
universality of the struggles and conflicts these heroes overcome allows this template to become as
popular as it is today. Many of the stages that exist within the Heros Journey can be applied to my

Roman Road Christianity Essay
When Constantine was converted he had favoritism towards the church. Churches were built at
the state expense. There were lots and lot of wars and plagues that went on. So people were
ready and easily to accept an afterlife. Paul was a citizen of Rome and he could travel there
without the expense. The roman roads were better and weren t as dangerous as other roads. There

Romans only believed in one god anyways. So that kinda helped too. The Romans were good at

Essay about The Gathering Text Response
Text Response Good Vs. Evil
Good vs. evil is a widely explored theme in Isobelle Carmody s novel The Gathering . It is most
evident in the battle between the Chain and the Kraken, however the more sinister, subtler acts of
evil occur when he attempts to make each member vulnerable by breaching their weaknesses.
While the physical examples such as the final battle, the murder of The Tod and the violent acts by
Buddha and his gang could certainly be classified as evil, it is my belief that the brainwashing of the
students and the fanatical powers of illusion Mr. Karle wields are more insidious, swiftly
inhabiting and manifesting in the minds of people in a way that is more powerful than any outright
acts of violence.
An example of how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another example of evil occurs on page 247, when Nathanial recalls his father trying to kill him
Children should be seen and not heard he said, and his big hand closed around my neck. And
squeezed. This could be evidence that an ancestral streak of violent behavior could also be tainting
Nathanial s blood. Perhaps this is why Mr. Karle struggles to convert Nathanial and attempts to
compel him to join The Gathering.
One instance pertaining to the theme of Good Vs Evil in the novel can be found on pages 224
and 225. This part of the novel includes a battle between Nissa and a feral dog; this is a physical
battle between good and evil. This excerpt from the novel shows that the Chain do in fact fight a
physical battle against the malicious forces of darkness contained in Cheshunt.
An additional case of Good Vs Evil is found on page 257 Kill them all! Kill them all! the Kraken
shrieked May the Chain prevail long! This excerpt from the final battle in the novel demonstrates
the fact that the Chain must not only fight a physical battle against the dark forces of Cheshunt.
They must also use their unity as a weapon against the darkness
This final and convincing example of evil and brutality in the novel occurs on page 120 they held

Analysis Of Flannery O Connor s Two Story
I am going to mention about Flannery O Connor s two stories in my essay. One of them is The
Life save may be your own and the other is A good Man is Hard to Find . I will talk about
Flannery O Connor s stories summary and my opinions about that. Firstly I am starting with
summary of O Connor s The Life Save may be your own Story starts with an elderly women and
her daughter. After that one of the men come up their road named Mr. Shiftled. He starts smoking
and during the conversations, they decided to make an arrangement. Mr. Shiftled starts to work
around the farm in return of some food and shelter. They continue their talking about marriages.

but he refused this. Even though he refused to marry with her at first than he lied for car than he

The life you save may be your own In my opinion in this story our characters are important. Mr.
Shiftled had a big chance to save his life but he didn t do this. He is selfish that he accept the
marriage but not for Lucynell. His life could be better but it couldn t. I think Mrs. Crater is not a
good mother because she wants a sudden marriage with one she never knew. But the important
point of the story is about the boy and Mr. Shiftled. And the story ends with Shiftled prayerfull
shout. So he tries to be clean in the world but he gets into a rut both genuine and metaphorically
meaning. I am continuing with the second story analysis; I think out main character grandmother
is a religious and moral person and she is little bit selfish. She wants everything to be her own
way. She has strong religious believes like our novelist O Connor. O Connor has a strong believer
to Christianity. While grandmother was dying, she seems like closer to God. Also an angel figure.
But we don t find it realistic. Because her touching is just

Why Are Historians Important In History
Historians are influenced by countless features of their lives. As a part of any race, gender,
religion, nationality, time period, political identity or social class they have a unique world view.
These factors may help them see a primary or secondary resource in a new light and gain a fuller
understanding of the situation. Their views can also cause historians to overlook important features
in resources or fail to recognize a particular side of the issue. Historians can broaden their horizons
by studying groups that they do not understand. They must keep in mind that these resources also
have all of these influences acting on them. They are only a small piece of the puzzle. Historians
must never accept and resource as fact without analyzing it. Among all the competing influences a

school of thought. The United States has made many poor foreign policy choices. They get
involved in too many wars and military power struggles. Most of these do not directly benefit the

Abstract
Sexual contact that occurs concurrent with the patient physician relationship is considered to be

harm to the patient.
Boundaries: The limits of appropriate behavior by a professional toward his/her client.

Patients often don t know they have been violated usually until after interactions between patient
and physician either fail or don t work out in favor of the patient.
Sexual Misconduct Scenario:
I ve been involved with my physician for a couple of months now. There are a lot of factors
which make the relationship wrong mostly on his side: a huge age gap, his marriage amp;
family, the fact that he s a doctor. He also knows my father, who is a fellow doctor, and the
relationship started right when I practically committed suicide. It might be a stupid question, but
did he take advantage? I am fully in my right mind and did not feel abused in any way, but I
suppose psychology would show that there must be some part of me that was taken advantage of.
We started the relationship and after a few days, it dwindled. Now I feel abandoned and used.
The fact that the patient noted that she was fully in her right mind brings into play informed
consent. Can a patient truly give consent to a sexual relationship with their physician? Considering
undue influence a patient can t soundly give consent to having sexual intercourse with a doctor.
They lack the knowledge due to transference. Next, non maleficence and beneficence, the

grown men recall memories of their childhood. My Papa s Waltz has a quietly sad, almost resigned
tone as Roethke relives his nightly dances with his father as a young boy. Lawrence s Piano is
somewhat dreamy as a man is taken back by a song to his childhood. While both are presented to us
through similar personas, striking differences are apparent throughout the two poems.
My Papa s Waltz is the pensive recollection of a boy s nightly waltz around the house in the arms
of his father. Roethke s poem gives a voice to the often silent internal ... Show more content on

And yet at the end of the stanza, we are shown just how defenseless the child is as his father
drags him around the room, scraping his son s ear with his belt buckle. Roethke makes the most
important statement in the last line of his poem, ? waltzed me off to bed Still clinging to your
shirt (479). Clinging, and all that the word implies: fear, sadness, love and admiration, is both
the greatest strength and obstacle the boy will encounter in his relationship with his father. In
contrast to My Papa s Waltz , D. H. Lawrence s Piano is a man s remembrance of a happy
childhood. Lawrence sets a dream like tone in the first stanza of his poem as we are taken back
through the years to a man s boyhood. Taken back by a song, the man is transported back to the
Sundays of his childhood where he would sit beneath the piano as his mother played hymns.
While melancholy, Lawrence shows us that his persona yearns for the happy childhood he once
had with the line, The glamour Of childish days is upon me, my manhood is cast Down in the
flood of remembrance, I weep like a child for the past (574). The author establishes a connection
with readers through his use of music as a means of passage through time with the statement, In
spite of myself, the insidious mastery of song Betrays me back,? (574). Through this use of music

Minors Committing Violent Crimes
Minors who committed violent crimes end up usually categorized with adult penalties, instead of
being classified as minors penalties. The teenagers classified with adult penalties end up in prison
instead of juvenile hall tend to receive a horrible fate if not worse. I oppose the thought of
juveniles who have committed violent crimes should try as adults, a point that needs emphasizing
since many people agree that minors who committed violent crimes belong in a juvenile
penitentiary. Which, is how it should be since the juveniles are not of legal age to try as adults.
What pushes the matter is seeing how severe the crimecommitted was people believe that the
minors are aware of what they are doing at the time of their action. Minors need aid... Show more

It seems that violent video games can not only turn an at risk child up to a dial on their
behaviors but also low risk children into a school shooter (Mozes 5). Video games have also been
put on the radar as to one of the root problems of minors committing violent acts. If a child began
playing violent video games at a young age, then he might think that violence in real life is the
same as the game violence and that it doesn t have a real impact on others (Gilad 29). While kids
play violent video games, they re not only playing for fun. They are analyzing the which changes
their behavior and actions due to thought process for example, They start to expect people to
behave more aggressively toward them, and they tend to see aggressive solutions as being more
appropriate for solving problems (Mozes 5). An understated factor leading to minor violence would
have to be bullying. Gifted youngsters who are bullied for being who they are, eventually would
either retaliate or change themselves to fit into society so that they won t get bullied. The gifted
students suffer from extreme anxiety, dangerous depression, and sometimes, violence... ( Gifted
Kids 6). The quote shows that bullying can factor into many different issues, with violence being
one of them. Watching videos of school fights caused by bullying taught me there

To tackle this, it undertook the following steps:
1.In order to gain more market share, Kellogg s decided to launch two highly successful brands
internationally Chocos in 1996 and Frosties in 1997 in India. Both of the brands were very
successful and sales picked up significantly. It also started providing its offering in retail packs of
different sizes. This enabled the company to cater the needs of different individuals.
2.Leveraging on the success of Chocos that the company decided to expand the brand by foraying
in to the cereal biscuit area with the launch of Chocos Cereal Biscuits. Kellogg s started
concentrating on establishing its brand name in the market irrespective of the off take. The focus
was entirely on being present and visible on the retail shelves with a wide range of products.

Literary Features and Techniques This literary analysis is of 2 Samuel 24:1 25[1], which depicts a
literary plot. The main characters in the narrative are the Lord, David, Gad, Joab, and Araunah. The
characters in this chapter of the Bible come from categories ranging from a mixture of round, fully

David, realized it was his sin which was being poured out on his people, ached in his heart for the
pain he had brought upon his own people. In an effort to end the suffering, David asked the Lord
to allow the punishment to afflict only him and his father s household. The Lord once again sent
the Prophet Gad to David, who instructed him to build an altar on the threshing floor of Araunah
the Jebusite. King David, complying promptly, purchased the threshing floor and oxen from
Araunah the Jebusite, built the altar, and made offerings to the Lord. At this point of the narrative
the original conflict, which was created as a result of David s pride and foolishness , was resolved
with his contrition and atonement to the Lord, and the action ends with the Lord responding to
David s plea to spare his people and averting the plague.
Interpretive Issue and Resolution One interpretive problem from the narrative is the census
causing or being considered such a great sin. The act of conducting a census should not have been
sinful since it was introduced to the people by the Lord and carried out three times by Moses. In the
book of Exodus, the Lord gave Moses instruction concerning the census. This instruction was
played out in the book of Numbers as the Lord directed Moses to take a census of all the
congregation of the people of Israel[4]. In the first chapter the census was to be done by clan with

Artificial intelligent models (AIMs) have been successfully adopted in hydrological forecasting in
a plenty of literatures. However, the comprehensive comparison of their applicability in particular
short term (i.e. hourly) water level prediction under heavy rainfall events was rarely discussed.

Flood warnings must be provided with an adequate lead time for the public and the emergency
services to take actions to minimize flood damages.
Real time flood forecasting is an important and integral part of a flood warning service, and can
help to provide more accurate and timely warnings. Depending on catchment characteristics and
catchment response to rainfall, various types of flood forecasting models, including correlations,
simple trigger flood forecasting, and more sophisticated real time catchment wide integrated
hydrological and hydrodynamic models may be adopted. These models provide flow and level
forecasts at the selected key locations known as Forecast Points, which are usually located along
major rivers or on streams near urban areas that have a history of flooding.
2. ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK: ANN consists of a large number of parallel processing
neuros, working independently and connecting to each other by weighted links. It is capable of
simulating complex nonlinear system due to its ability of self learning, self adaption and
generalization. The feed forward neural network (FFNN), with one input layer, one or more hidden
layer and one output layer, is employed in this study. BP algorithm, firstly introduced by Rumelhart,

The Code of Ethics defines the behavior standards with which physicians must comply. The AMA
Code of Ethics is designed as a concise document outlining the basic duties and responsibilities of
physicians. One of the major areas of strength of the AMA Code of Ethics is the principle that
outlines that the physician must regard responsibility to the patient as paramount (American
Medical Association, n.d., par. 9). This principle outlines that importance of putting the patient
first in all care aspects when working with a patient. Along with this, other principles set forth in
the AMA Code of Ethics, while involving other aspects of care, state that the rights of the
patient shall be acknowledged and followed during patient care. It is very important that
healthcare codes of ethics are clear in defining that the patient needs to be considered first and
foremost. A weakness of the AMA Code of Ethics is concise nature of the document. While
concise can also be regarded as a strength, the concise nature of this Code of Ethics is a
disadvantage, as it does not allow for more clear definitions of the ethical principles. For example,
the principle stating that physicians shall support access to medical care for everyone does not
outline the ways in which physicians should do this or provide any guidance. It seems as though
more guidance could be provided with a more

Through these ideas could be somewhat correct, they barely cover up government s influence and
the minimal impact of common civilians. In Marie Lu s Legend and Andrea White s Surviving
Antarctica: Reality TV 2083, one can conclusively recognize the striking resemblance between the
novel and the modern government of the People s Republic of China. The seemingly picturesque
landscapes often obscure the reality that the Chinese government often oppresses freedoms of
expression, violates basic human rights, give the population little control over the government and
its rulers, and controls most of the country s education and news. As in many preset day
governments, and the governments depicted in the books, China considerably restricts its
citizen s rights to speech and the press. In Legend, the people must be careful of what they say,
as it could bring them serious consequences. For example, after Day is executed according the
government, talk of him living spreads extremely quickly but only in the shadows, as it was
dangerous if the government overheard; the person could be locked up or even worse. Earlier,
when June spread news about the Arcadia bank, she sent out scouts, one per sector, to talk about
giving Day plague medicine if he comes to the ten second place. The spreading of this news shows
how easy it is for the government to purposefully spread news, not simply restricting speech but
surreptitiously and indirectly forcing it taking advantage of the people s interest

What is the meaning of sustained release on medication bottle?
Oxford University Press Dictionary tells us that sustained release means denoting a drug
preparation in a capsule containing numerous tiny pellets with different coatings that release their
contents steadily over a long period.(OxfordLivingDictionary,2017)
What is the difference between a cream and an ointment?
A cream is a semisolid and comes in both aqueous and oily bases. It absorbs into the skin. An
example would be benzoyl perioxide. The ointment is similar to a cream, but it does absorb into the
skin it protects it locally. It can have soothing, astringent, or systemic effects. An example of an

Analysis Of The New Jim Crow
Stories that go untold are often never heard and forgotten through time. The author of The New
Jim Crow, Michelle Alexander, by writing her book understandingly so went out of her way to
document the stories and pain of millions of minorities, whom in the land of the free are instead
forced into undoubtful imprisonment. Alexander has spent most of her life fighting racial
injustice and teaching about civil rights. A graduate from Stanford Law School and Vanderbilt
University, Michelle Alexander became a civil rights lawyer and legal scholar. She has dedicated
her life to fighting the racial bias in the criminal justice system and ending mass incarceration,
devoting much of her time to writing about and spreading the awareness of the racial caste system
that we are currently in. In addition, Alexander has spent several years as the director of the Racial
Justice Project at the ACLU of Northern California, which also lead a national campaign against
racial profiling by law enforcement (NewJimCrow.com). In her work, The New Jim crow,
Alexander cautiously argues that from the beginning of the United Statesall the way to its first
foundations, can one find that the foundations were layered upon a racial caste system to which
just like the United States Constitution, can essentially adapt overtime and exploit the original
undercaste of minorities that were its earliest victims; while her book is well supported through her

Comparing Plato s Republic, The Philosopher And Plato
In Plato s Republic, the philosopher is sitting having a discussion with his fellow peers and friends.
During this conversation each character except Plato offers their opening and reasoning on the
question, what is justice. For the majority of the book Plato outlines almost every aspect of his
ideal city. Within this city Platohas set up many rules in order for the city to remain just. All the
way from mating rituals to who should rule, virtually all factors have been thought of and serves
a specific purpose. One of the most important question that was raised in the book is, who is
should be the ruler of the city? Evidently Plato believes that it is the philosopher who is most fit
to rule. He reaches this conclusion after discussing a variety of factors that put philosophers above
the rest, Plato being a philosopher seems to be the most creditable in making this argument in The
Republic. In Plato s book, Adeimantus attempts to put dispute his claim. Not only him but
philosopher and a student of Plato, Aristotle does the same in his text as well. Aristotle emphasizes
the importance of the laws in his Ethics and Politics. He specifically implies that a ruler who is a
philosopher rules by judgment, not laws, and as a result the ruler will rule for himself and thus
becomes a tyrant (Nichomachean Ethics, V.6, 1134a). Both Plato and Aristotle give compelling
arguments as to why they think they are right on who should rule. Aristotle s claim is accurate, that

Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard
Anton Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard Analysis of Comedic Characters Anton Chekhov s The
Cherry Orchard is one of his most famous plays, despite the fact that the comedic aspect is often
questioned. The Cherry Orchard records the tale of a wealthy Russian family who are faced with
the loss of their estate due to bankruptcy, while also facing the reality of losing their beloved
cherry orchard. Titled as a comedy, it seeks to disclose the familyand household dynamics during
this brief period. The wealthy family is in so much debt that they are being forced to sell their
beloved cherry orchard, a symbol of the affluent past that the family was accustomed to. The Cherry
Orcharddoes not appear to be a comedy in our modern day sense of the word, which is the reason
that it can be so difficult for the 21st century reader to understand why the play is labeled a
comedy and not a tragedy. In Checkhov s work, the characters are one of the most prominent
comedic forces driving the play. French philosopher Henri Bergson s once summarized comedic
character by saying that, Comedic character is rigid or inflexible in circumstances that demand a
resiliency of the mind or body (Fiero). Through the lens of this definition, we conclude that the
primary circumstances that demand(s) a resiliency of the mind or body for the characters in The
Cherry Orchard are the selling of the cherry orchard and the loss of their class prominence. We
will be considering Chekhov s comedic style

It wasn t until my mom was in her early thirties that she even considered having kids. Before

Gun Control And Mass Shootings
Gun Control In the course of history gun control and mass shootings has always been an issue,
but much too often, history has been being made. Gun control is an understatement for what
actually is being implemented. The process to get a gun, for example, a rifle, is all too easy. Let
me personally walk you through this gruesome process . First, you walk into the store, second you
pick your desired weapon, third you walk to the cashier to do a background check, finally you buy
the gun. The hardest part about that process was choosing the actual weapon you want. With little
gun control comes more mass shootings, and with more control comes less mass shootings.

Another common saying by those who believe taking away weapons is a bad thing is, taking
away guns will cause more criminal activity. Every armed robbery taken place the victim has 91%
of the time was wielding a single type of weapon, for example a gun.
As I sit here researching the topic on mass shootings and deaths in the U.S. a breaking news
article popped up on my screen. In Texas today, November 5, 2017, 27 people were killed and 30
were injured. I would normally be in shock how someone can do such a thing to innocent moms,
dads, kids, teens, and infants. But with the world we are living in now there are no surprises to
me anymore with the recurring gun violence. It s as if there is a contest to gain entry to the top
mass shootings in U.S. history because this one in Texas has made it in. Exactly a month ago the
Las Vegas shooting was taken place becoming the deadliest shooting ever recorded in U.S. history
and this now being 4th in that list. Being the greatest country in the world I would think someone
would have the common sense to realize guns are the issue not the people wielding them.
Previously stated above among the 52,000 shooting incidents this year only about 1,700 was
reported for defensive use, leaving the rest assumed to be in acts of violence. The number of
deaths recorded this year for our U.S. soldiers reaches 6,903, while American citizens reach 13,136

such a young audience viewing these shows. A survey by the Girl Scout Research Institute
reports a significant contrast in girls who watch Reality TV with those who do not. 46%
compared to 27% of girls who watch Reality TV aspire to be leaders and role models in their
communities. These attributes are very valued, and through developing characteristics of being a
leader we will be able to see young girls mold into forward thinking leaders in the future.
Furthermore, this new format for television also has diverse groups of people who help convey
pressing social issues, which can relate to a wide variety of viewers. In the same survey, 62% said
the shows made them more conscious of social issues and causes, which is a monumental positive

The Latehomecomer Essay
The book, The Latehomecomer, is a fascinating story about a Hmong family and their struggle to
get out of Laos and come to America as refugees. The Hmong people are a very proud people and
they do not want to forget their culture. One can clearly see that the Hmong people hold close their
identity and do not want to conform to the Vietnamese way. They take pride in their culture, their
society, and the way they view how government should run. Hmong peopledid not agree with the
Vietnamese communist government and were willing to join forces and help the United Statesas
much as possible so that they could fight for what they believed in. Even though most of the young
men and boys that fought in the war died in battle or were... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It was very tough for the Hmong s that were still in Vietnam and Laos after the war. The American
armed forces was these people s only protection and after they just picked up and left for their
home shores the Hmong people that were still alive faced severe hardships. They had no food
and water and most of their homes were all destroyed. Most of the men and young adult boys
were killed in the war and the Vietnamese and Laos soldiers were still pursing the Hmong people
because they wanted to terminate the Hmong people. It was also tough for the Hmong people
that were left because the American s had stopped bringing food drops along with medical
supplies. I believe family is such an important part in this family s life because they are all that
each other has got. They hold close to their family because they have been through so much and
they see death all around them, so they see the importance of their family. They also are taught
from a very young age to respect their elders in the family because they have seen much more
and know much more about all aspects of life. They are viewed as wise and knowledgeable and
the young family members cherish the opportunity to learn from them. In the movie Gran Torino
one can get an idea for the respect most of the young people have for their elders. Tao and his
sister show a great deal of respect to their mother and

Essay Feminism and the Shakespeare s Works
Feminism and the Shakespeare s Works
By examining Shakespeare s treatment of familial ties in his plays The Life and Death of King
John and The Winter s Tale, we can see how his attitudes and opinions towards family relationships
evolved. In King John (written between 1594 and 1596), Shakespeare adopts what was then a fairly
conventional attitude towards family relationships: his characters never question the highly
patriarchal family hierarchy. They also assume that the majority of wives will be unfaithful, simply
because they are female however, they take the charge of adultery rather lightly. By contrast, in
The Winter s Tale (written between 1610 and 1611), he adopts a much more progressive, feminist
view of family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their conversation disturbingly resembles a sinner s confession to her priest. She tells Robert,
Heaven lay not my transgression to my charge! (1.1.256). He replies by assuring her, And they
shall say, when Richard me begot,/ If thou hadst said him nay, it had been sin./ Who says it was,
he lies; I say twas not (1.1.274 76). This obviously highlights the power differential between the
Lady and her son.
The most vivid example of King John s patriarchalism is found in the character of John s niece
Blanche. Her entire life rests on the men in it, namely, King John and Lewis the Dauphin. King
John marries her to the Dauphin, because, as Eleanor advises him, For by this knot thou shalt so
surely tie
Thy now unsured assurance to the crown
That yon green boy shall have no sun to ripe
The bloom that promiseth a mighty fruit (2.1.471 474).
After Blanche s marriage, Lewis uses her claim to the throne as the fault was hers / Which fault
lies on the hazards of all husbands/ That marry wives (1.1.118 20). No one contradicts either of
them. Additionally, when Constance and Queen Eleanor begin to argue, they accuse each other of
infidelity and call each other s sons bastards. All of this shows that in King John, women were
assumed to be less faithful than men.
Despite the fact that wives adultery undermines the entire family structure by calling a man s heir s
legitimacy into doubt,

The Central Theme Of Secrecy In Lanval By Marie De France
Some people keep secrets in order to keep the peace, to keep the happiness, and to keep others
safe. There are many people in the world who feel that keeping a secret is wrong or may feel
disrespected because a person is not being open and honest with them. Everyone has a different
perspective of the influence secrets have on people. Medieval author, Marie De France, wrote the
story of Lanval which tells the story of a knight who must keep his love with the woman of his
dreams a secret or he will lose her forever. Secrecyis the central theme of Marie De France s story.
The theme of secrecy in this story adds to the dramatic effect of passion that the characters share
with one another. This essay will examine how the theme of secrecy in Marie De France s Lanval
was an essential component to the story, how the choices made by the characters affected the plot,
and how secrecy contributes to the entire meaning of the work. Lanval tells the story of one of
King Arthur s knights, who is described as being brave, kind, handsome, and very... Show more

This story is focused around keeping secrets and what could happen if a secret is revealed. The
mistress wanted Lanval to keep their love and happiness a secret from the outside world because
she wanted to protect him. She knew what would happen if their love was not kept a secret and
she wanted to prevent the event from ever happening. This story presents secrecy in a way that
is considered good and true. Secrecy in the story was used to teach Lanval a lesson about the
pervasive world that they live in. When the mistress comes to save him Lanval learns why she
did not want the world to know about them. It is because she did not want the cruel and
unjustness of the world to be involved in their relationship in any way, shape, or form. Lanval feels
a sense of relief once he is rescued by his love he even responds to the rescue by saying I am cured

  • 4. A Program Of Management And Leadership Development Essay If an organization has a track record of effective responsiveness to the environment, and if it has been able to successfully change the way it operates when needed, TQM will be easier to implement. If an organization has been historically reactive and has no skill at improving its operating systems, there will be both employee skepticism and a lack of skilled change agents. If this condition prevails, a comprehensive program of managementand leadershipdevelopment may be instituted. A management audit is a good assessment tool to identify current levels of organizational functioning and areas in need of change. An organization should be basically healthy before beginning TQM. If it has significant problems such as a very unstable funding base, weak administrative systems, lack of managerial skill, or poor employee morale, TQM would not be appropriate.5 However, a certain level of stress is probably desirable to initiate TQM. People need to feel a need for a change. Kanter (1983) addresses this phenomenon be describing building blocks which are present in effective organizational change. • 5. Bowenian Family Systems Therapy Summary One of the main approaches that can be used with this family is Bowenian s Family Systems Therapy which emphasizes helping family members differentiate from their family of origin and help them to develop healthy relationships with their current family members (Hook, 2014). One of the assumptions of this theory is that multi generational trends or pattern have a great effect on an individual familymember s emotions, thinking or behavior, which results in the continuing the same trend. Families do not act autonomously, but they are essentially tied with their emotional behavior. This is known as the multigenerational transmission process (Gilbert, 2006). The primary goal of this therapy is to help family members differentiate from their family... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The client had reported these patterns to be considered to be generational curses , which implies that the family does not want to continue in these patterns. These instances can be viewed as traumatic events and negatively impacted the emotional well being of the members in the family. For this approach, the genogram is viewed as an essential intervention for allowing family to recognize intergenerational patterns (Hook, 2015). During session with the family, the genogram could help the family to open up about their sexual abuse and how it was dealt with the past. They can also process their feelings of having to raise children on their own. By identifying these patterns, that family could look for potential solutions or options for breaking or avoiding this risk factor. Since the client reported that sexual abuse is not really expressed in her family, it is assumed that the family members affected by this experience have unresolved issues and unhealthy emotional connections. • 6. Contemporary Theories Of Subcultures A subculture is considered a group of dominant people or culture that has been defined in its norms, values, and interests, which are often inconsistent to those of large groups. (Bohm Vogel, 2011) Subcultures were created when a group of people that share the same beliefs or circumstances finds themselves cut off from society. (Bohm Vogel, 2011) These groups are distinct from those of the majority and are held by a group into a broader society. Most subcultures are recognized by their age of its members, or by race, ethnicity, class, gender, and their qualities that may be aesthetic, religious, occupational, political, and sexual or a combination of these factors. However, people create subcultures as a way to feel accepted while also signifying that they are different from other groups. The subculture theory focuses on consistent distinctiveness, identity, commitment, and autonomy. The first subculture group I would like to recognize is the police they are law enforcement officers with specific types of attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. I place them in the subculture category because of they spend their time dealing with crime; therefore they tend to be judgmental towards members of the public viewing them as untrustworthy and potentially hostile; therefore, the public view the police as being unreliable and abusive as well. The police depend on their cohorts to back them up, and mostly teamwork to apprehend criminals; therefore, it creates a dynamic of police ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

With the July temperature climbing above 100 degrees, the soldiers journeyed off through the thick jungle toward the city of Santiago. Wearing uniforms of wool, the men struggled against the heat. Many soldiers who brought rations of food along often discovered that it had spoiled. Soon many of them became ill from malaria, fever, and dysentery. After a few brief encounters, the Spanish and American armies confronted each other at the San Juan hills. The Spanish highly defended the hills along a ridge east of Santiago. Roosevelt scouted up and down the lines. I had come to the conclusion that it was silly to stay in the valley firing up at the hills...the thing to do was to try to rush the entrenchments, he said. With a pistol in one hand an a saber in the other, he rode up toward the top with his soldiers following on foot. They went all out toward the top, even though they were being slowed by the Spanish Roosevelt kept leading them on and eventually captured the top of Kettle Hill. The battle for Santiago was the last major conflict over Spanish ownership of Cuba. Roosevelt and the Rough Riders forced the surrender of Santiago. • 10. Redesign Of Copley Square Analysis Copley Square is a sort of visual representation or metaphor of Boston as a whole. Boston has for centuries been a center of learning and culture, and Copley is surrounded today by the Boston Public Library, numerous churches, and influential businesses. Boston is a junction between the old and the new, and Copley sports differing ages of architecture varying from the Hancock tower to the Old South Church. Boston is where different people come together, and Copley is where the Back Bay meets the South End. Boston is known for its oddly charming seemingly unplanned arrangement, and more so than anything else, Copley Square represents this (Krieger 47). In my redesign of Copley square, I paid attention to all of these elements as well as others in an attempt to create a destination that respects its surroundings and history in addition to drawing people in and serving several purposes. It is most evident in the battle between the Chain and the Kraken, however the more sinister, subtler acts of evil occur when he attempts to make each member vulnerable by breaching their weaknesses. While the physical examples such as the final battle, the murder of The Tod and the violent acts by Buddha and his gang could certainly be classified as evil, it is my belief that the brainwashing of the students and the fanatical powers of illusion Mr. Karle wields are more insidious, swiftly inhabiting and manifesting in the minds of people in a way that is more powerful than any outright acts of violence. I think Mrs. Crater is not a good mother because she wants a sudden marriage with one she never knew. But the important point of the story is about the boy and Mr. Shiftled. And the story ends with Shiftled prayerfull shout. So he tries to be clean in the world but he gets into a rut both genuine and metaphorically meaning. I am continuing with the second story analysis; I think out main character grandmother is a religious and moral person and she is little bit selfish. She wants everything to be her own way. In an effort to end the suffering, David asked the Lord to allow the punishment to afflict only him and his father s household. The Lord once again sent the Prophet Gad to David, who instructed him to build an altar on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. King David, complying promptly, purchased the threshing floor and oxen from Araunah the Jebusite, built the altar, and made offerings to the Lord. At this point of the narrative the original conflict, which was created as a result of David s pride and foolishness , was resolved with his contrition and atonement to the Lord, and the action ends with the Lord responding to David s plea to spare his people and averting the plague. Interpretive Issue and Resolution One interpretive problem from the narrative is the census causing or being considered such a great sin. The act of conducting a census should not have been sinful since it was introduced to the people by the Lord and carried out three times by Moses. In the book of Exodus, the Lord gave Moses instruction concerning the census. This instruction was played out in the book of Numbers as the Lord directed Moses to take a census of all the congregation of the people of Israel[4]. One of the major areas of strength of the AMA Code of Ethics is the principle that outlines that the physician must regard responsibility to the patient as paramount (American Medical Association, n.d., par. 9). This principle outlines that importance of putting the patient first in all care aspects when working with a patient. Along with this, other principles set forth in the AMA Code of Ethics, while involving other aspects of care, state that the rights of the patient shall be acknowledged and followed during patient care. It is very important that healthcare codes of ethics are clear in defining that the patient needs to be considered first and foremost. A weakness of the AMA Code of Ethics is concise nature of the document. While concise can also be regarded as a strength, the concise nature of this Code of Ethics is a disadvantage, as it does not allow for more clear definitions of the ethical principles. In Marie Lu s Legend and Andrea White s Surviving Antarctica: Reality TV 2083, one can conclusively recognize the striking resemblance between the novel and the modern government of the People s Republic of China. The seemingly picturesque landscapes often obscure the reality that the Chinese government often oppresses freedoms of expression, violates basic human rights, give the population little control over the government and its rulers, and controls most of the country s education and news. As in many preset day governments, and the governments depicted in the books, China considerably restricts its citizen s rights to speech and the press. In Legend, the people must be careful of what they say, as it could bring them serious consequences. For example, after Day is executed according the government, talk of him living spreads extremely quickly but only in the shadows, as it was dangerous if the government overheard; the person could be locked up or even worse. Earlier, when June spread news about the Arcadia bank, she sent out scouts, one per sector, to talk about giving Day plague medicine if he comes to the ten second place. The author of The New Jim Crow, Michelle Alexander, by writing her book understandingly so went out of her way to document the stories and pain of millions of minorities, whom in the land of the free are instead forced into undoubtful imprisonment. During this conversation each character except Plato offers their opening and reasoning on the question, what is justice. For the majority of the book Plato outlines almost every aspect of his ideal city. Within this city Platohas set up many rules in order for the city to remain just. All the way from mating rituals to who should rule, virtually all factors have been thought of and serves a specific purpose. One of the most important question that was raised in the book is, who is should be the ruler of the city? Evidently Plato believes that it is the philosopher who is most fit to rule. He reaches this conclusion after discussing a variety of factors that put philosophers above the rest, Plato being a philosopher seems to be the most creditable in making this argument in The Republic. In Plato s book, Adeimantus attempts to put dispute his claim. Not only him but philosopher and a student of Plato, Aristotle does the same in his text as well. Aristotle emphasizes the importance of the laws in his Ethics and Politics. He specifically implies that a ruler who is a philosopher rules by judgment, not laws, and as a result the ruler will rule for himself and thus becomes a tyrant (Nichomachean Ethics, V.6, 1134a). The Cherry Orchard records the tale of a wealthy Russian family who are faced with the loss of their estate due to bankruptcy, while also facing the reality of losing their beloved cherry orchard. Titled as a comedy, it seeks to disclose the familyand household dynamics during this brief period. The wealthy family is in so much debt that they are being forced to sell their beloved cherry orchard, a symbol of the affluent past that the family was accustomed to. The Cherry Orcharddoes not appear to be a comedy in our modern day sense of the word, which is the reason that it can be so difficult for the 21st century reader to understand why the play is labeled a comedy and not a tragedy. In Checkhov s work, the characters are one of the most prominent comedic forces driving the play. French philosopher Henri Bergson s once summarized comedic character by saying that, Comedic character is rigid or inflexible in circumstances that demand a resiliency of the mind or body (Fiero). Through the lens of this definition, we conclude that the primary circumstances that demand(s) a resiliency of the mind or body for the characters in The Cherry Orchard are the selling of the cherry orchard and the loss of their class prominence. This obviously highlights the power differential between the Lady and her son. The most vivid example of King John s patriarchalism is found in the character of John s niece Blanche. King John marries her to the Dauphin, because, as Eleanor advises him, For by this knot thou shalt so surely tie Thy now unsured assurance to the crown That yon green boy shall have no sun to ripe The bloom that promiseth a mighty fruit (2.1.471 474).
