The document discusses the equipment used to create a film project, including:
- A smartphone that could record 4K 60fps footage and had 3 cameras, allowing exploration of different angles.
- A gimbal for stable tracking shots, though it could not shoot downward which required adapting shots.
- External hard drives and laptops for efficient editing across devices and storing files in one place.
- A monopod for shots needing to pan up/down where a tripod was inconvenient.
- Various software like Photoshop, Blogger, and Wix that supported different elements of pre-production, production and post-production.

Equipment and technology a2 loops media, scope vids
1.
2. We captured most of our footage on this phone
It can record in 4K 60fps, equalling the standard
of a camera
It has 3 cameras on the back, giving us the
opportunity to explore focus, zooming in and out,
and extreme wide angles
3. This was very helpful for getting stationary shots
An example is when we placed the tripod in a street, with the hopes
of masking different cuts together
The stationary tripod was vital for this
4. This was a useful piece of equipment for
stable worms eye view shots
In the end, we didn't use it much, as there
wasn't much context in which we would use
worms eye view shots
The gimbal gave use more scope for different
angles
5. This was a vital piece of equipment
A lot of the time, we were switching
between macbook (at home), macs at
school and each others macbooks
To edit on both devices, we need an
identical library, and the Hard Drive was
important for this to be achieved
It meant we could store all of our files in
one organised place
6. For flat surfaces, it was very useful to track or
smoothly pan
We tended to use the gimbal more, as it was
more convenient to carry around, and it meant
we didn’t need smooth surfaces
7. At the start, I was against the idea of using a
green screen, as I thought it would look
unprofessional. After recording some footage
and editing it, I realised how important it is to
creating abstract content
8. We used the gimbal for all of our tracking or panning shots
It provides steady footage that is professional looking
The only issue is its inconsisitency
You cannot take any video facing downwards, which meant we
had to adapt some of our shots
9. Having devices that you could easily transport the xml
code to and work from home meant we could be a lot
more efficient in producing our final production
We did our main editing on final cut, and used iMovie for
short vodcasts. The mac in school was important, as the
bigger screen meant we could go into more detail when
editing
We are planning on using motion to try some unique
transitions, as it came with the final cut pro package for
education
10. This piece of equipment allows you to record
stable footage, whith the camera attached to
the pole. If there is a shot where you need to
pan up or down, it is more convenient than a
tripod.
There was one specific shot (I was recording a
birds eye view shot from a balcony) where the
monopod
11. We used this light when we were
outside. It improved the quality of
the videos.
This light is very strong, and we were
able to play around with how strong
we could use it, for verisimilitude.
12. We only used this camera for shoots 3
and 4, however it is very good quality. It
has better settings in terms of focusing,
in comparison with the iPhone 11,
however the convenience of the Phone
meant it was easier to use, while still
creating great looking footage
13. Before starting A2, we hadn't had any experience on Photoshop.
In the end, we feel like we have learnt a lot of skills on this website
It was the best we could have used for creating our digipak, as it gave
us the ability to play around with layering, and different filters
14. We created most of our work on this
website, and it was very convenient
We used it throughout AS, however
there was an update that changed the
whole website format. It took some
time to get used to, with importing
video becoming increasingly difficult.
This issue was then resolved, and it
become a very important website for
all of our work. It is the best way to
format all the work we have done.
15. We used YouTube to upload all of our videos, meaning we could
then upload the embed code into blogger.
Along with this, there was a lot of research done on YouTube, as
it is the platform for a lot of UGC.
16. We used wix to create
our website. It allows for
a lot of different
functions. We chose it
over other website
creators because we
have used it in the past,
which meant we were
already familiar with lots
of different functions
