What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing this project?
Camera
• We learnt how to effectively use a digital camera;
including the camera zoom and tracking the characters to
keep them in the frame of the shot.
• We had never properly used a digital camera, so therefore
had to learn more throughout the process.
Social Media
• We learnt how to create a Google
account and blog, and effectively use
both. Including making new pages,
embedding YouTube videos and
constantly editing and updating blog
posts.
• We also learnt how to upload videos
to our YouTube channel and share
them from that.
Using internet effectively
• We spent a long period of time, choosing
appropriate sound effects for our opening
and then downloading and adding them to
our film on iMovie.
• Throughout the
process of making
our film opening we
had to make
multiple slideshows
and add them to
slide share. We had
not previously used
slide share so
therefore had to
learn how to do so,
including looking at
other A level slide
shows to help us.
• We also the data
wesbite, BARB,
helping us to see
what type of TV is
watched most
often and where.
iMovie
• Due to never using iMovie before, it was initially harder to use.
However doing the preliminary task was extremely useful as it
allowed us to to get used to the software.
• We learnt how to upload pictures, clips and sounds to iMovie and
use the tools, titles frames, green screen, transition and sound
editing to effectively use them.
Final cut
• We had previously never used final cut, however to get
the typing sequence at the beginning of our film opening
we needed to use that particular software.
Overall…
• Overall we learnt how to use many different technologies
throughout the process, including software like iMovie
and Final cut.
