this book influenced me was how strong hope is. We underestimate many times how strong hope
is. We usually complain and complain and never even think about hope. We just get down on
ourselves because of the things that we don t like. Let s face it, we are lazy. If Ishmael Beah
would have been lazy when he was going through his journey than he wouldn t have achieved
what he has so far. He stated My eyes widened, a smile forming on my face. Even in the middle
of the madness there remained that true and natural beauty, and it took my mind away from my
current situation as I marveled at this sight. This shows that Ishmael Beah was able to find
beauty but how? It was through hope. He always reminded himself of his childhood and he had

incorporate hope into our lives. Hope will allow us to survive the hard times that we are going

children with behavioral disorders do not necessarily have learning disabilities. JV is achieving
above grade level with his reading fluency, yet requires ongoing support with behavior issues. To
be specific, he is constantly making noises, will get out of his seat and roam about the room, lose
focus and begin talking about different things that interest him. It is very difficult for JV to
maintain focus for long unless a stimulating environment is provided.

The first thing that comes to someone s mind when they think about a phantom or a ghost,
usually does not involve a real human or the word sympathy. In the novel, The Phantom of the
Opera by Gaston Leroux, this actually is the case. A deformed human, who lives deep under the
opera and is stuck in a love triangle, causes problems for the people of the opera. The real
definition of sympathy is: feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else s misfortune (123). Which

Because of this factor I found it interesting that it was banned from your country under the term of
President (Insert name here). I write to you today in hopes that you will reevaluate president (insert
name here) s decision and allow this book to be published. The social conditions were not optimal
in the book and I can respect the decision to ban it, but it was banned from the country but that was
a different time and things have changed since then. Under the influence of many years the
conditions and circumstances have changed. Publishing the book provides you with a good
opportunity to portray an understanding for the people and your willingness to cooperate with their
wants with little or no cost to you. Duong Thu Huong has spoken out about the government
censorship numerous times and by allowing her book to be published now, it could allow the
people to trust their government.
The book showed a vulnerable time in Vietnamese history fraught with trials and errors on the part
of the government. The fact that it revealed corruption in the government was a problem at the time
but the government has improved since then. After the Ratification of Errors the land owners were
allowed to prosper again such as Aunt Tam even though times were still difficult. Like the
Ratification of errors after the land reform, by ending the ban it would show that you as a country
