6:00 in the morning so we could get our rabbits, which we were bringing to the auction to sell, settled
in their cages. We had filled each cage with hay the night before so they would be warm for the ride
there and for the time they d be stuck sitting in their cages. After we loaded them up, we headed to the
auction. Once we arrived at the auction, we brought the bunnies over to the people who tagged their
cages and brought them out to the barn to be stacked up next to other cages. The other cages were
filled with exotic birds and some other rabbits. In some of the pens inside the auction barn, they had
pigs, goats, sheep, and emus. The outside pens had a variety of cow breeds like the shaggy highlanders
and brahmas. There were also horses, ponies, alpacas, buffalo, and llamas. We alway arrive early, so
people are still coming in with animals they would be auctioning off that day. My Mom and I went
into the auction barn to see if they had anything interesting out there that we might like to acquire. As
we walked through the barn, we saw some golden pheasants and some peacocks, so my mom wrote
their tag numbers down on her mini notebook that she brought along with her. We also checked out

We use many euphemisms/colloquialisms in our everyday communication. A euphemism is a nicer
word or phrase that is used to make a sensitive topic less harsh according to dictionary.com (1995).
Colloquialisms are words or phrases that are used to express something other than the words literal
meaning as stated by vocabulary.com (year unknown). Most of the time we hardly know we use such
terms or phrases nor do we know where they originate from. The usage of euphemisms and

that reflect the findings from studies conducted to examine the relationships between environmental
hormone mimics (endocrine disruptors) and their effect on the human body. This paper specifically
discusses three key environmental hormone mimics: bisphenol A, dioxins, and pesticides. Each of the
three studies links the chosen environmental hormone mimic to abnormalities caused by exposure to
the chemicals. Bisphenol A is linked directly to altering estrogen levels in women. The consequences

three were made to make a difference somewhere or in someone s life. The main difference between
these services are the primary intentions of the programs. Service learning primary purpose is to learn
from the experience and to improve their skills. By doing so, they are helping those in need.
Volunteering and community service have the most in common, except the fact that community
service can be done without a voluntary basis. Those services are done without the purpose of learning
something from it, even though they can have a learning experience. Even though most are volunteers

Houston Food Bank is a private non profit organization. They were established in 1982 and are a
certified member of Feeding America. Their focus is to help end hunger by distributing the most meals
possible to those in need. They can provide 83,000,000 meals a year, which they are trying to improve
in. Most of the meals they pack up are sent to pantries and other organizations that need food for
individuals and families. Usually, food banks do not distribute their meals, but Houston Food Bank
does. With the help of volunteers, they can sort, pack and distribute food. Most of the food given to
them are provided from donors, local companies around the city, and USDA. The food given to them
would go to waste without their help and the volunteers who make the meals happen. I attended the
Houston Food Bank, and while I was there, I could tell they have strong teamwork within the
organization. All the employees knew what to do and how to handle that many volunteers. They all
communicated with the volunteers with a professional, friendly way. They could get everyone who
came in to sign in and get everything set up to start the day. I was not able to tell one thing that went

The thesis of this article is that IQ and other ability tests are based on social conventions in each of
these three cultural domains. These conventions are presupposed or assumed by a test and its tester.
However, for any test to function successfully, these conventions must also be shared by the

audits, federal compliance audits, information systems audits, performance audits, and investigations),
files are requested regardless of whether or not OSA will be performing a financial statement audit for
the current year.
OSA Information Systems Audit (ISA) auditors request submission of files from the Community
College Systems Office, obtain a list of the community colleges that will be audited for the current
fiscal year from the Financial Audit Team Manager, process files once received and provide the output
