Intro
I know we’re in that sort of dragging part of
the middle of the semester, but over the last
few classes, a number of you have gone
silent. That’s not good.

So today’s activity is going to draw you out of
that.
You read
 For today, you read Kristin Arola’s “The Design of Web
 2.0”

 Instead of me saying anything about it, you’re going to
 break into groups of two (three if we need ONE group to
 be three. That doesn’t mean several groups of three).

 You will be given a page of the article. Your job is to
 summarize the key points, come up to the teacher’s
 station, and type them into your respective
 PowerPoint slide. Then you’ll share them as we
 cycle through the slides.
Now
Equipped with that knowledge, we’re going
to look at two things for each candidate:
their Facebook presence and their official
websites.

We’ll let the challenger go first.
Spend
The rest of class time looking for sources. You also have
this time to talk to me if you have questions.

For next class, don’t worry about the readings on the
schedule, but bring your physical copy of CCM to class
with you.

Your forum assignment for the week is to pick one of the
images posted last week and respond doing some
visual rhetorical analysis based on what we’ve
learned in class.
