1) Welcome to class
2) Who….aree…youuu? You-oo-ooo-

3) The syllabus
4) A little visual rhetoric interlude
5) Learning the tech: what we’re going
to do
The Activity:
Two Lies and the Truth
You get five minutes to write down
your name along with three
statements about yourself.
You will then hand the card to the
person to your right, who will read
the three things. As a class, we have
to try to guess which one is true.
A) I was recruited to play inside
linebacker at IU but shredded my knee
during my first practice.
B) I once sang the DeVinyls song “I Touch
Myself” in the rain on the back of a
flatbed truck to a live radio audience.
C) I spent a summer working as the
driver for Indiana legend John Cougar.
Please navigate to Canvas on your computer. We’re
going to do the dry but necessary reading of policies
and overviews. Please go to the “modules” section (it
should load when you open, but if not).
And now an interlude that will sort of gloss
what we’re going to be doing.
Let’s talk about this guy…
