Train drivers often neglect railway signals, which can lead to accidents, especially in foggy conditions. To address this problem, an automatic speed control system for trains was developed using a microcontroller. The system uses an infrared transmitter at the signal that communicates a code received by a receiver on the train. This allows the train's speed to be automatically controlled based on the signals to improve safety. The system is small, easy to operate remotely, inexpensive to manufacture, and flexible enough to be used in various applications including automation and remote areas.
