The endocrine system consists of glands that secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream. Two suffixes related to the endocrine system are dipsia and uria. Dipsia refers to thirst, with polydipsia meaning excessive thirst which can be caused by conditions like diabetes or diarrhea. Uria refers to urine, with polyuria meaning excessive urination which is often caused by uncontrolled diabetes, and glycosuria referring to the presence of sugar in the urine due to issues like diabetes or pregnancy.

3. DIPSIA
Polydipsia: Many (excessive) thirst
Causes of Polydipsia
Diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus
Diarrhea
Type 2 diabetes

4. URIA
Polyuria: Condition of (too) much urine.
Glycosuria: Sugar in the urine.
The most common cause of polyuria in
both adults and children is
uncontrolled diabetes melltius, causing an
osmotic diuresis.
Glycosuria can be caused by diabetes,
hyperthyroidism, liver problems, kidney
problems, and pregnancy.
