Means thirst
Polydipsia is an excessive
feeling of thirst, a symptom of
people with diabetes. This can
be an indication of higher than
normal glucose levels.

4. -URIA
Means urine condition
Polyuria is a condition of
producing an excessive amount
of urine. This is also a symptom
seen with people with diabetes.

5. Both polydipsia and polyuria co-exist as symptoms with people with diabetes, a metabolic
disease in which the body’s inability to produce any or enough insulin causes elevated levels
of glucose in the blood.
