This document presents a mathematical model named 'ari-zo' for predicting flood peaks and time of concentration in arid zones, particularly focused on storm runoff in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The study derives empirical equations based on rainfall and runoff measurements, comparing ari-zo outcomes with traditional methods like the SCS method, and establishes that the parameters vary significantly under arid conditions. The authors recommend the use of the ari-zo model for hydrological studies in arid regions to better address flood prediction and management.
