The Emotiv EPOC is a 14 channel EEG system that detects brain signals through electroencephalography (EEG) and translates them into commands using brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. It measures facial expressions, emotions, and cognitive states to control applications. Current applications include virtual navigation, gaming, controlling wheelchairs. With improved detection techniques, it has potential for a wide range of uses including assisting people with disabilities and advancing artificial intelligence.
