Introduction:
• The 8.0 release adds the Mobility Master (MM) and Managed Controller in a topology
that permits the MM to manage and monitor one or more controllers.
 The MM only manages controllers and can’t manage any Access Points (AP)
 Licensing is controlled by the MM for all the Managed controllers.
 New Hierarchy:
 “/mm” or Mobility Master
• Contains mynode “/mm/mynode”
 “/md” or Managed Network
• Contains groups and managed controllers (physical or VMs)

Dashboard data
In order to populate data in the Dashboard from the Managed controllers, we must configure the Mobility Manager
server via one of these two options:
Option 1 is to go to Managed Network -> Configuration -> System -> More -> General -> MON Receivers and
adding the info there

At the top of the MM WEBUI there is a new style banner which displayed the following information aggregated from all local controllers:
• Number of Managed Controllers (up/down)
• Number of Access Points from all Managed Controllers (up/down)
• Number of clients from all APs from all Managed Controllers
• Alerts (both MM and Managed Network)
You will also find a simplified Aruba Networks logo to the left and the Admin/Logout dropdown to the right as well as the Help button

Dashboard -> Network –> Location (Maps)
• This screen displays all controllers and status put on a map.
• Several controllers are grouped into "donuts". Details can be seen from a pop-up.
• Go into edit mode to move around controller pins on the map.

• Search location and move the selected controller to a position on the map.
• Does a reverse address lookup on the controller position.
