1) Static electricity occurs when objects are rubbed together, causing them to become electrically charged. Objects can be neutral or charged, attracting or repelling each other depending on their charge. 2) Materials are either conducting or insulating - conductors allow electric charges to move through easily while insulators do not. Electric circuits have components like generators, wires, switches and devices to transmit electric current, which is the movement of electric charges. 3) Magnets attract certain metals and have north and south poles. When two magnets are placed near each other they can either attract or repel depending on their pole orientation. Magnetism has many uses including compasses, storage, and security.
