2. MATERIALS
• We can classify materials in two groups:
• CONDUCTORS This is a material which
allows electricity to flow easily.
• INSULATORS This is a material which
doesn’t allow electricity to flow easily.
3. FORMS OF ELECTRICITY
• Static electricity is the form of electricity that
doesn’t flow. Electrical storms are an example of
this static electricity. Ice particles in the clouds
move very fast and rub together. This causes a
huge amount of energy to convert into light, heat
and sound.
• Current electricity is the movement of electrons
from one object to another. It can be produced in
a closed electrical circuit.
4. ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT
• An electrical circuit has the following parts:
• GENERATOR/BATTERY it provides energy.
• CONDUCTOR it is a wire that lets the
electricity flow through the electric circuit.
• ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS it changes
electricity into another form of energy.
• SWITCH it opens and closes the circuit.
