This paper discusses the performance analysis of eigen subspace-based Direction of Arrival (DoA) estimation algorithms, specifically focusing on the MUSIC and improved MUSIC algorithms for coherent sources. The results demonstrate that the improved MUSIC algorithm outperforms the classic MUSIC algorithm, particularly in scenarios with varying signal-to-noise ratios and snapshots, achieving better resolution and accuracy. The study highlights the potential of improved DoA estimation in enhancing the effectiveness of smart antenna systems in mobile communication.
