Deere & Company, most commonly known by its name John Deere, is an American corporation based in Moline, Illinois, and one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the world. In 2012, it was listed as 97th in the Fortune 500 America's ranking and 190th in the Fortune 500 Global ranking[citation needed]. Deere and Company agricultural products, sold under the John Deere name, include tractors, combine harvesters, cotton harvesters, balers, planters/seeders, sprayers, and UTVs. The company is also a manufacturer of construction equipment and forestry equipment, as well as a supplier of diesel engines and drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment. Additionally, John Deere manufactures equipment used in lawn, grounds, and turf care, such as walk-behind lawn mowers, zero-turn lawn mowers, lawn tractors, and snowthrowers. To support the core businesses, John Deere also provides financial services and other related activities.
The company's slogan is "Nothing Runs Like a Deere" and has a picture of a leaping deer as a logo,[3] a word play pun on "nothing runs like a deer". Carl Westby coined the phrase "Nothing Runs Like a Deere" for a marketing campaign to sell snowmobiles. The company's products are also identifiable by its distinctive shade of green paint, usually augmented by yellow trim.

Public lecture delivered on 7 November to Garden Route stakeholders. The Garden Route is staring over a cliff and the choices we make now will determine our ability to respond to global uncertainties. Two factors: trends in the global economy, and government's commitment to implement the recommendations of the National Planning Commission, will make a huge difference to the Garden Route's future. Four scenarios: "Eish, missed the bus"; "Maverick's paradise"; "Local is Lekker" and "Carpe Diem" could emerge. Our ability to respond to these will depend on flexible yet proactive plannning, management of ecological infrastructure, closing the wealth gap and investing in education and technology.

The land planning process today is heavily regulated and complex. This session highlighted real life examples from three senior level executives who drew upon past experiences
and demonstrated how they turned adversity into opportunity by employing creative and environmentally sound land planning
techniques. The presentation provided the audience with environmental solutions that can be successfully applied to their own projects. The panel presented their challenges, reviewed
the methodology and application of their solutions and discussed lessons learned throughout the process.
On Friday, July 9th, the Central Texas American Planning Association (APA) learned by the Sustainable Sites Initiative from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center's own Dr. Steve Windhager.
The goal of Sustainable Sites Initiative is to do for landscape design what LEED certification has done for building design. Under the Sustainable Sites Initiative, sites qualify for certification (1 star, 2 star, 3 star, and 4 star) based on a 250 point scale. As of June 2010, 174 pilot projects were started under the Sustainable Site Initiative.
This quick summary doesn't do Dr. Windhager's presentation justice, so check out his presentation complete with interesting facts about the ROI of urban forests and how New York street trees provide climate moderating benefits to the tune of $27.8 million.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
