Designing Fundamental Elements for Inclusive Educationijtsrd
In Inclusive Education system the teacher has to understand and make necessary arrangements for providing content to all variety of students like, learning disability, deaf or hard of hearing, visual, emotional, speech, orthopaedic and other common non disabled students. There are certain things that are unique to require to specific disability, for example, A blind child and would require a writer, he dictates the answer and writer writes for the blind child and child with loco motor disability or he she can be given computer for writing such modifications and flexibility should be there in the learning environment in the class room. But the content would be same for all children. However, despite the importance of teachers and their pedagogies as agents of change, we should not lose sight of the ‘public pedagogies' and their prodigious impact on the policymaking process. This study investigated the effectiveness of experience and nature-based learning activities in enhancing college students’ environmental attitude. It employed pre-test-post-test experimental research design. The participants were the class of fifty-three college students of a higher education institution in Region 2, Philippines. Seven learning activities were employed by the researcher namely pamphlets making, environmental-themed movie poster making, collage making, miniature plant exhibit, vegetable gardening, community clean-up service, recycled art crafts making, and tree planting drive. In like manner, the pre-attitude score and post-attitude scores in the standardize environmental attitude inventory test were compared and the significant differences were determined using paired sample t-test. Results of the study revealed that the different experience-based learning activities were generally rated interesting. Moreover, it was also revealed that the different learning activities significantly increased the environmental attitude of the students towards nature enjoyment, support for interventions and conservation policies environmental movement activism, conservation motivated by anthropocentric concern, confidence in science and technology, environmental threat, altering nature, personal conservation behavior, human dominance over nature, human utilization of nature, and ecocentric concern. This implies that allowing students to be exposed to the different environmental learning activities where direct learning experience is involved significantly increased students environmental construct.

Assessment of the Existing School Health Promotion Program in a Selected Educ...AnuragSingh1049
The health promotion school program was designed to promote the wellbeing of school students. This concept was introduced during the 1980s by the World Health Organization (WHO). In Sri Lanka; it was initiated and implemented in 2008 targeting all government schools. The aim of the study was to assess the existing school health promotion program. The cross-sectional study was implemented in May 2018 with all secondary schools in a selected education zone in Sri Lanka which represent three types of schools, 1AB, 1C and type 2. The study participants were students and teachers. The newly developed tool (Health Promoting School Assessment Tool) was used to assess the existing school health promotion program under six main criteria. The nominal group technique was followed to fill the assessment tool designed in the study where a team of teachers and a team of students separately took part in the assessment. The findings of the study show that the existing health promotion school program is partially unsuccessful in the selected educational zone. The existing situation of the school health promotion program, according to the main six criteria of the Health Promotion School Assessment Tool, was not at a satisfactory level of the implementation (38.2%). Only three schools (N=23) scored more than 50% while other schools (n=20, N=23) were scored less than 50%. According to the assessment, for each group of an individual school, there was a difference between teachers’ assessment and students’ assessment of the overall health promotion program. It is important to conduct continuous monitoring and have an evaluation plan for the school health promotion program to acquire effective changes in school settings.
Using Transdisciplinary Approach in Biology Instructionijtsrd

Abstract: Environment in developing countries like India have been threatened by problems like poverty, pollution, overpopulation, degradation and depletion of environment. As such, the environmental protection and preservation has been an urgent need of the hour. Realizing its importance, it has been enshrined in the Constitution of India, which requires both the state and the citizen to protect, preserve and improve the environment. Considering the seriousness of the problem only inclusion in Constitution will not help a lot in preserving our environment, but the issue should be initiated at the grass root level i.e. in family, school and society. In the changing scenario of our society attitude of an individual are greatly affected by family, teachers, school environment, teaching methods, learning styles and many other factors and they all have a great impact on the personality development of the child. It is well accepted fact that healthy family environment, co-operative learning and environmental education can help a lot in the development of positive desirable attitude towards environment among future citizens.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

EFFECTIVENESS OF A LEARNING PACKAGE BASED
ON LIVELIHOOD PRACTICES FOR ENHANCING
ACHIEVEMENT IN BIOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
ETHICS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
2. INTRODUCTION
Innovation has played—and continues to play—an important role in the
development of the education system in India.
The success of the Government’s elementary education program, namely the
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), has perpetrated a need to move towards
universalizing secondary education.
Because secondary education is a crucial stage in the educational hierarchy as it
prepares the students for higher education and also for the world of work.
It is also necessary that general education up to secondary level, opportunities
for improvement of vocational knowledge and skill should be provided at the
higher secondary level to enable some students to be employable.
Since the introduction of DPEP, formal schooling system followed the
constructivist approach and learner centered education.
3. But now a days such activity methods are contracted only as cognitive
activities, not included the adequate affective and psychomotor
development of a pupil.
This is not enough for children to get the livelihood opportunities in future.
Moreover, the developments of affective domain among children are very
important especially in this technology era.
If we include livelihood practices related Biology such as agriculture, apiculture,
mushroom culture, sericulture etc. will help to increase their environmental
literacy and thereby an ethics towards environment also developed.
Development of Environmental ethics is very important in children for the
sustainability and conservation of the environment.
As a preliminary study, investigator decided to prepare a learning package based
on livelihood practices for enhancing achievement in Biology and environmental
ethics of high school students.
4. NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
According to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (2008)‘Unemployability’ is a bigger crisis
than unemployment which is the result of skill deficit. Skill deficit among our
youth is the most important issue to be addressed on priority than the country’s
infrastructure deficit.
The contemporary world phases value disintegration in all aspects especially
environmental values. After industrialization humans exploited the nature in a
very dangerous manner.
The result is that many of the native varieties of plants and animals became
extinct or endangered. Undoubtedly can say it will adversely affect to the
existence of human species in earth.
There is only one way to prevent this over exploitation of nature is the
development of an ethics towards environment through the imparting of
environmental literacy to the children along with the practicing of livelihood
opportunities in secondary education.
5. Hence the investigator decided to prepare a learning package based on livelihood
practices for enhancing achievement in Biology and environmental ethics of high
school students.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The present study is undertaken to prepare a learning package based on
livelihood practices for enhancing achievement in Biology and environmental
ethics of high school students.
Hence this study is entitled “Effectiveness of a Learning Package based on
livelihood practices for enhancing achievement in Biology and environmental
ethics of high school students”.
6. OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS OF THE KEY TERMS
Effectiveness
The term effectiveness is the capacity of producing desired result. When something is
deemed effective it means it has an intended or expected outcome or produces a deep
vivid impression.
In this study, effectiveness means the impact of learning package in Biology among
high school students to practice livelihood opportunities.
High school students
The students studying in school comprising classes 8th, 9th and 10th .
In this study, investigator defines the term high school students as those who are
studying in classes eighth, ninth and tenth standards of schools in Kerala state.
7. Livelihood practices
According to Collins English dictionary, livelihood is job or other source of income
that gives you the money to buy the things you need.
In this study investigator defines the term livelihood practices as acquiring the
knowhow by practicing of one or more jobs during the secondary school education
for the eradication of unemployability among youth. By this, citizen will be self-
sufficient in all aspects.
Environmental ethics
Environmental ethics is the application of philosophical considerations to the base
humans interact with the earth, natural resources and animals (Stanford.edu.).
In this study, investigator defines the term environmental ethics as the moral attitude
of adolescent learner while he is interacting with the environment.
8. MAJOR HYPOTHESES OF THE STUDY
There is no significant difference between the experimental group and control group
in their pre-test scores of Achievement in Biology.
There is significant difference between the experimental group and control group in
their post-test scores of Achievement in Biology.
There is no significant difference between the experimental group and control group
in their pre-test scores of environmental ethics.
There is significant difference between the experimental group and control group in
their post-test scores of environmental ethics.
9. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
To identify the content areas from high school level Biology text books that can be
used for preparing the learning package which is essential for the livelihood
opportunities.
To prepare a learning package for high school students to practice livelihood
opportunities.
To test the effectiveness of learning package for high school students based on
livelihood practices in enhancing achievement in Biology.
To test the effectiveness of learning package for high school students based on
livelihood practices in enhancing environmental ethics of high school students.
10. METHODOLOGY IN BRIEF
The experimental method was adopted for the present study. A non- equivalent pre

indicate that the pupils of experimental and control groups differ
significantly in their achievement in the post-test after they have
been adjusted for difference in the pre-test achievement scores.
Since the adjusted mean of experimental group is significantly
greater than that of the control group, the experimental group is
superior to the control group in post-test achievement.
It may therefore be concluded that pupils taught through
package based on Livelihood practice had better academic
achievement than those who taught through conventional
method.
18. From the analysis of the total scores of pupils in the
experimental and control groups using the
statistical technique, Analysis of Co-variance, it is
clear that the package based on Livelihood practice
is more effective than conventional method with
regard to achievement in biology.

27. MAJOR FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
In the case of hypothesis 1, ie, there is no significant difference between the
experimental group and control group in their pretest scores of achievement in
Biology.
The calculated value of C.R. is 0.104 and is not significant at 0.05 level. (C.R. =
0.104; p>0.05). Since the mean of the control group do not differ significantly
from that of the experimental group, control group and experimental group are
more or less equal in pre-test scores of Achievement in Biology.
Test of significance for difference between means of pre-test scores of
Achievement in Biology of the treatment groups revealed that there is no
significant difference between control group and experimental group in pre-test
scores of Achievement in Biology.
Hypothesis 2 was, there is significant difference between the experimental
and control group in their post test scores of achievement in Biology.
28. The obtained value of F is 166.242 and is greater than the
table value at 0.01 level (i.e., 7.08) and hence is significant
(Fyx = 166.242:p<0.01). This shows that the final mean
scores of treatment groups differ significantly after they have
been adjusted for difference in the pre-test achievement
scores.
Ie, test of significance for difference between means of post-
test scores of Achievement in Biology of the treatment groups
revealed that there is significant difference between control
group and experimental group in post-test scores of
Achievement in Biology.
29. Hypothesis 3 was, there is no significant difference between the
experimental and control group in their pretest scores of environmental
ethics. The calculated value of C.R. is 0.429 and is not significant
(C.R. = 0.429; p>0.05).
Since the mean of the control group do not differ significantly from
that of the experimental group, control group and experimental group
are more or less equal in pre-test scores of environmental ethics.
Test of significance for difference between means of pre-test scores of
environmental ethics of the treatment groups revealed that there is no
significant difference between control group and experimental group in
pre-test scores of environmental ethics.
30. Hypothesis 4 was, there is significant difference between the
experimental and control group in their posttest scores of
environmental ethics. The obtained value of F is 3801.262 and
is greater than the table value at 0.01 level (i.e., 7.08) and hence
is significant (Fyx = 3801.262:p<0.01).
This shows that the final mean scores of treatment groups differ
significantly after they have been adjusted for difference in the
pre-test achievement scores.
Test of significance for difference between means of post-test
scores of environmental ethics of the treatment groups revealed
that there is significant difference between control group and
experimental group in post-test scores of environmental ethics.
