Educational psychology is a branch of psychology that deals with teaching and learning. It aims to apply psychological knowledge to improve educational methods and outcomes. Specifically, it studies learner behavior in relation to educational needs and environment. Educational psychology also describes and explains an individual's learning experience from birth through old age by studying development through achievements over the lifespan. It can be considered the science of education as a discipline used to scientifically improve education processes and results.
