Aquaculture continues to significantly expand its production, making it the
fastest-growing food production sector globally.
However, the sustainability of the sector is at stake due to the predicted effects of climate change that are not only a future but also a present reality.
In this Lecture, we review the potential effects of climate change on aquaculture production and its implications on the sector ’ s sustainability.
Various elements of a changing climate, such as rising temperatures, sea-level
rise, diseases and harmful algal blooms, changes in rainfall patterns, the uncertainty of external inputs supplies, changes in sea surface salinity, and
severe climatic events have been discussed. Furthermore, several adaptation options have been presented as well as some gaps in existing knowledge that
require further investigations.
Introduction, Models, Types of estuaries on the basis of origin; Salinity condition or freshwater discharge; Circulation; Estuaries in India; Estuaries as ecosystem; Why are estuaries important; Threats ;How can we help to protect them; Conclusion.

Comparison of Singapore and Philippines Educational System
Since becoming an independent republic in 1965, it has transformed from an impoverished island with no natural resources and a mostly illiterate population to a country of 5.8 million people whose living standards match those of the most highly-developed industrial nations.
Singapore hopes to encourage lifelong learning for all Singaporeans, in ways that bring them satisfaction and meaning.
In Singapore, the system includes six years of primary school, followed by four to six years of secondary school, and one to three years of postsecondary school. The curriculum for primary schools is common for all students in years one to four.
Historical records not only from the travels of Johann Ludwig Krapf and Johannes Rebmann reveal that Kenyans had access to education as far back as 1728 with a Swahili manuscript Utendi wa Tambuka (Book of Heraclius) attesting to the fact. The CMS missionaries interacted with locals in the coastal town of Mombasa and set up one of the earliest mission schools in the country at Rabai in 1846.
With the expansion of the railway from Mombasa to Uganda, the missionaries expanded their work into Kenya's interior. An attempt to set up a school and mission at Yatta in 1894 was resisted by the Kamba tribe. The missionaries then penetrated into western Kenya and set up schools and missions. The first school in western Kenya was established at Kaimosi in 1902. During the colonial era, the number of Kenyans with exposure to education steadily increased and a good number of them were privileged to proceed abroad for further education.

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

Editor's Notes
During the Civil Wars, the formal education system was almost non-existent in Liberia.
Since 2003, MoE is rebuilding the government formal and non-formal educational systems to meet the goal of providing equal access to quality education for all citizens regardless of age, disability and gender.
The formal education system is structured as follows:
Early Childhood Education comprised of three years of studies for children ages 3-5, and designated as Kindergarten 1-3
Basic (or Primary) Education comprised of nine years of studies, with six years of lower basic education (Grades 1-6) for children aged 6-11 and three years of upper basic education (Grades 7-9) for children aged 12-14
Senior Secondary Education comprised of three years of either academic education or technical and vocational education and training, for young people aged 15-17 and designated as Grades 10-12, and
Higher Education and Post-Secondary Training, which includes certificate, diploma, degree and post-graduate programs offered by teacher training institutes, colleges and universities.
In terms of access to education, gender disparity in education in Liberia is not acute. Of the total number of students, 763,728 students (51.17 percent) are males and 728,684 students (48.83 percent) are female
Mission schools are run by faith-based organizations, while community schools were established by communities during the civil wars and reconstruction period and continue to function as such, though they currently receive additional support from the government.
A majority of the schools (55.52%) are in the three largest counties—Montserrado, Nimba and Bong.
There are slightly more than half a million ECE students (539,660) studying across 5,080 schools in Liberia with 14,311 teachers teaching at this level. The mean number of students per school is 106 while the median number of students is a slightly lower 93, which means that the average ECE school size is relatively small with a few comparatively larger outliers.
Inadequate budget for education and no budget for early childhood
Inadequately trained teachers, especially in the pre-primary
Lack of materials appropriate for pre-primary classrooms
Lack of accessibility of services to young children
Affordability of public school pre-primary programs – parents must pay 3500 LD or the equivalent of $24 US
Lack inter-sectoral coordination of ECD programs nationwide
The G2B-ESP will drive reforms right down to the school level as we try to tackle these many problems. What changes will you see in schools? Gradually, ECE fees will be reduced to ensure all children can attend kindergarten More trained teachers: 1,000 new C certificate graduates, 2,500 in-service Accelerated C teachers, 600 new B certificate teachers, 3,000 C ECE teachers and a clean, strong payroll Every school receiving at least one inspection visit per year New national curriculum syllabi for English and Math and national assessments for Grade 3 and 6 Construction of hundreds of new toilets and water systems Special programs for overage and out-of-school children to get every child in school New national certificate for Agriculture and strengthening our TVET institutions and trainers Improved quality assurance in higher education with stronger connections to international universities
