doesn’t overwhelm the reader because there is a lot of space on the page. It
doesn’t look busy and like there is too much going on. Signature of the editor.

9. Overview
Titles - The titles seem to be either be welcoming/inviting the reader or they are explaining what the page contains eg
‘Editor’s letter’. This makes it more personal to the reader and creating this direct mode of address creates a relationship
with the reader making them want to carry on reading.
Text - All the editors notes I looked into all had a white background and the text was in a black serif font. This kept it
professional looking and easy to read. The contents of the text tends to say what's in the issue and links to what's in the rest
of the magazine making the audience want to read on. Font normally is small. There tended to be a signing of the editor at
the end of the text to make it more personal and create a relationship with the audience.
Pictures - There is usually a picture of the editor to create a personal connection with the reader seeing the person who
wrote it, they are normally looking directly at the camera creating a direct mode of address. The rest of the photos relate to
the article or the rest of what's to come in the magazine.
When researching editor pages I found they all looked very similar, some of the pages had a bit more colour and things to
look at and other pages had a lot of space around them creating a more relaxing vibe from the page.
